You can’t go wrong with TGMH! The staff are fantastic and will go above to beyond to make sure your wedding day perfect. My sister (also one of my bridesmaids) passed away just before the wedding. Emotions were running high prior to that but it all came to head before the ceremony and I fell completely apart. Another one of my bridesmaid’s (another one of my sisters) dresses had a major zipper malfunction and the whole dress split open. They had someone to come out and literally sew my sister into her dress. No matter what came up, the staff had a quick fix for it. I had to redo hair and makeup and the help rearrange the entire photography schedule (bridal party, first looks with parents and groom, gifts, etc) and still got the ceremony started within 15 minutes of the original start time. I could not have asked for a better team and they really did save our wedding. The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious, their venders are all super easy to work with and they offer a very wide variety of complimentary decor items too! -

I am so happy with the experience we had at the Gingerbread Meeting House. They are so pleasant to work with. They service, food, and atmosphere was amazing and I would recommend this venue to anyone! They include the catering and some of their decor, they send you a wedding planner binder and you can choose what you want to make it so stress free! -

Wedding Day 08.13.22
The Gingerbread Meeting House made my wedding dream become a reality. The quality you get for the price is incomparable.
The process leading up to the wedding day was stressful in general but the final meeting puts your mind completely at ease. They answer every question you could possibly have. We got everything we wanted for our wedding day (such as chairs, table linens, arbor, etc) and still had room to add more with our budget. They also give you a wedding planning binder to help keep your wedding ideas, DJ sheets, catering menu, and potential vendors together and organized.
The day of the wedding, they brought the bridal party Chick-Fil-A and had every necessity on site.
They sent us off with cute personalized plates (with our last name initial) and a basket of cake and left overs for our honeymoon!
The location is beautiful and was great for my husband and I to get the BEST sunset pictures.
They made this day a core memory for my husband and I! 10/10 would recommend :) -

My husband and I recently got married at The Gingerbread Meeting House in June and it was an incredible experience!
Caroline, the venue coordinator, is amazing! She helped answer any questions we had, was very understanding when I didn’t always get her the information she needed on time, and she was easy to get a hold of. The day of coordinator (I’m not sure of her name) was also absolutely wonderful. She helped to make sure the day went smoothly and was extremely professional and helpful. She even helped to watch my toddler during the ceremony and he is super picky about who he will let hold him!
The day of my wedding was very hot and we initially planned to eat outside. After realizing how hot it was that day, my mom asked if we could move the tables back inside after the staff had already moved them outdoors. My wedding was very small, but I would’ve completely understood if the staff weren’t able to accommodate my request. I am SO thankful they agreed to move the tables back inside though! I was so incredibly grateful as I think everyone was happy we didn’t have to eat in the heat.
I was truly blown away by how professional everyone was and just what a great job the staff did. We even were given a nice basket with some items in it for us at the end of the night! The staff also put out a box where guests could put advice slips in. I wasn’t expecting that, and I’m so glad they thought to do that!
We are so glad we chose The Gingerbread Meeting House as the venue for our wedding. I cannot recommend them enough. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful too! Thank you so much to everyone at The Gingerbread Meeting House who had a part in giving us an amazing wedding day! -

Absolutely fantastic!!
Easiest and most stress free wedding planning/ rehearsal/ wedding day I could have ever asked for. Everything was so incredibly easy and the staff basically handled everything for me and even got us set up for our honeymoon. This was the first location we went to go see. The price is perfect. They take care of a lot of items which makes planning so much easier. Caroline was easy to work with. Ginger's restaurant food was amazing. And our coordinator of the day, Andrea was a pleasure! Had everything down and made me feel so calm and taken care of. Would recommend to everyone! -

Andrea is absolutely wonderful! Hands down best wedding coordinator out there! The Gingerbread House is absolutely beautiful! Our wedding was simply beautiful. No regrets with this venue! The day was perfect and all the Gingerbread staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed! My husband and I highly recommend this venue! -

A awesome venue!
I highly recommend The Gingerbread Meeting House. They take the worries away when it comes to wedding planning! At first I was scared to death when I was looking at venues because a lot of them you had to do everything yourself from decorating to picking multiple vendors. When I found The Gingerbread Meeting House, a prayer was answered. Ginger, Caroline, and Alexis are wonderful to work with. Ginger and her staff were excellent, from working with us in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping up with regulations and safety to helping us day-of with shuffling from an outdoor site to an indoor due to inclement weather. She also sends out every bride a binder with information, trusted vendors, to-do lists, and generalized information that made the entire planning process much less stressful.
I cannot recommend The Gingerbread Meeting House enough! -

Ginger and Angela were AMAZING! They were very responsive with messages and super understanding in these times of COVID. We actually had to reschedule from the original date of 09/12/2020 and it was very short notice due to unfortunate circumstances. They never once got aggravated and was there for us every step of the way! I highly recommend this venue! Food was amazing and the cake was beautiful and delicious. -

Ginger and her staff were great! I probably drove her crazy with all of my questions but she promptly answered and there was thorough communication throughout my full planning process. They accommodated our last minute changes, helped ease our concerns from a few miscommunications, and made our vision of a beautiful wedding come to life. I would highly recommend The Gingerbread Meeting House! The planning binder was helpful, day of coordinator was great, aesthetics of the venue were gorgeous, and we loved having the all inclusive feels saving us the hassle of purchasing decorations, finding a dj, baker, caterer, etc. -

Amazing Vow Renewal
I waited 20 years to have the wedding of my dreams (turned vow renewal) and Ginger/Andrea (along with the rest of the GBH staff) made it truly possible. Our vow renewal was perfect. We told them our ideas and thoughts and they made our vision a reality. It was a stress free, other than the strap of my dress breaking right before the ceremony, which was quickly fixed thanks to GBH having needle and thread handy. The food was delicious and the decor was amazing. Thank you all for helping our dream come true. -

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Ginger and her staff were for us. The whole planning process was amazing and smooth. Ginger answered all my questions, took my very vague ideas and made them amazing. Alexis, our coordinator, was literally the best!! She kept me calm, the show running smoothly and made sure it was the best night. The rest of the staff was awesome from the bartenders to the clean up staff they were efficient and fast without making a huge fuss. I will forever be grateful to the entire staff for making my rainy day wedding the best one imaginable. Thank you guys so much!! -

My husband and I had a short engagement and I knew we needed to find a venue that did more than just provide a place to get married. Ginger and her staff have nearly everything you need. They do the catering (excellent quality food!), they have all all the decorations, and everything else you need they provide quality recommendations for in a wedding planner. Also, a HUGE benefit they offer is a discounted honeymoon to an all inclusive resort in Mexico. Our wedding exceeded our expectations and our honeymoon even more so. Everything on our wedding day was absolutely perfect! -

Inviting and Beautiful Venue
Loved my wedding experience here in December 2018! Ginger and Staff were very professional and attentive. Venue is tranquil, beautifully decorated, and has a perfect combination of both indoor and outdoor accommodations. The covered outdoor area is welcoming and tranquil with its water fountain, fresh air, and greenery. Also worth noting, everything, including the restrooms, were very clean. This venue has a beautiful atmosphere and it made for a beautiful wedding. -

Wedding Reception of my Dreams
When planning for a wedding, you always worry about how your guest will like the venue, the food, and of everyone will have a good time. We received many compliments from our guests. The food was great, the decorations were exactly what I had asked for (and more!), and the atmosphere was perfect. Andrea was excellent to work with. She made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and when. You guys had everything ready and in its place when we got there. My parents were able to enjoy the event without having to worry if stuff was getting done. It was a nice, relaxing end to the day! -

The DJ did a great job of getting people involved and Earnest, the officiant, was personable and friendly and made our ceremony exactly what we wanted. I would recommend their venue to everyone!!!

Beautiful hidden gem location in Shelby. I would never have heard of it if not for weddingwire. The venue is so gorgeous on its own and they have many great complementary decor options available plus some pieces at an additional cost. Everyone here worked so well with us as we planned and postponed and rescheduled our wedding during the pandemic.
Each couple is also supplied with a wedding planning book and it truly streamlined the whole planning process. I don’t know what I would have done without it. -

Beautiful, personable, delicious food.
I enjoyed working with them. The food was good, process was simple. The venue is lovely. The only thing I didn’t expect was that the open bar I paid for was beer and wine only. Also, the director forgot to give us all flowers so I wasted all that money on fresh flowers, only to walk down the aisle empty handed. They gave us more money on the bar, and I just let it go. The moment had passed. Overall I’d highly recommend. -
