The Gala 417 exceeded our expectations as a wedding venue. The elegant ambiance, attentive staff, and impeccable attention to detail made our special day truly unforgettable.
During our first meeting with Amberly, so much stress was lifted off of our shoulders related to planning and we quickly realized this was more than just a wedding venue. The staff not only love their jobs, they are SO GOOD at it- from the many steps in planning, all the way to execution, they pull it off seamlessly and flawlessly.
They truly have everything you need in their rental collection, and they have an amazing lineup of preferred vendors to chose from if you wish.
Lyndsey was our day of coordinator and she ensured our rehearsal was quick, productive, and laid back. She was so calm the entire wedding day and ironed out all wrinkles before my husband and I even knew they were there. You want her by your side on your wedding day, trust me!
Mariah helped me with my bustle and fixed it again when my dad stepped on it and ripped it. She and Lyndsey also decorated my cake when I realized I ordered it undecorated....
The food was absolutely amazing! My family and friends raved about it after the wedding. I seriously have been craving it and wish they had their waygu beef sliders on doordash.
I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing venue for weddings or any other events! -

Best Wedding Venue Ever!
Gala 417 completely exceeded my expectations! Going into wedding planning, I was completely stressed about nearly everything, but the Gala team made planning so much easier! The guide that is given to you when you book with Gala lays out step by step what will be asked at the final meeting before the wedding day. It was such a lifesaver to make sure I was on track! My husband and I just had our wedding last week and are still living in bliss about how smoothly the wedding went and how much fun we had! We had a colorful, tropical paradise theme wedding. My husband and I live in Hawaii so we definitely wanted our guests to have a little taste of it. The venue's clean, white, and beautiful aesthetic really allowed all of the bright colors to pop! The staff were super nice and accommodating to our needs! The food was great, the day of coordinator made sure we were timely for each part of the evening. Leading up to wedding day, we had pretty big changes to our guest list and the Gala staff responded quickly and made our day went smoothly, so smoothly that it did not even seem like any changes were made at all. That is how seamless our wedding day felt! Our guests loved the open bar and tasty meal selections, I have received so many compliments and it is all thanks to Gala 417! You ladies did a fantastic job and we cannot thank the Gala team/staff enough for making our wedding day so special!

Absolute perfection is the best way to sum up our wedding experience with The Gala 417! For starters, The Gala 417 is absolutely exquisite! The moment you walk in the doors the Gala takes your breath away. The beautiful chandeliers, the pristine white marble floor, the elegant bar, and the bridal suite are just a few of the Gala’s incredible aesthetics. Thinking back through wedding planning and our wedding day what made the biggest impression on us was the Gala Girls. Jackie was the first person I met at the Gala in October 2021 and the impression she made on me from day 1 and throughout our planning process will always remain forever in my heart. I never had a worry in the world because of her. Sarah was the perfect Gala Girl to lead our rehearsal and to have there on our wedding day. She was sweet, funny, kind, respectful, and could keep my groom, myself, and our wedding party on track. Not an easy feat to say the least. Jackie and the rest of the Gala Girls went above and beyond and took care of anything and everything we needed during our big day. We never had to worry about anything on our wedding day which was the best feeling in the world! Our family and friends were blown away by every single staff member on our wedding night. They were all treated with professionalism and care. Those qualities are rare to find these days.
I will close with this. Many wedding blogs and/or groups say don’t expect your wedding to be perfect, there will be hiccups just make sure to embrace them. My now husband and I can say, without hesitation, that our wedding day was perfect! It was perfect in every way because of the Gala Girls. Our hearts are so full because we had the most memorable day of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. -

I don't think I could have found a better venue for our wedding! Not only is the location beautiful, but the space is as well. You can make any wedding vision come true here. The Gala 417 team are also basically miracle workers. From planning, to catering, to timeline, to design, they were there every step of the way. Very responsive and extremely helpful.
You do have to use in-house catering, but don't fret because their food is amazing! We got to choose from multiple dishes to try out during our catering meeting. And it was pretty customizable given all the choices you have. We also had open full bar for our guests (and a specialty cocktail of the night) and the bartenders kept our guests hydrate and having fun all night!
Jackie is someone I need to give special thanks to because she helped me out so much with planning, decor, rentals, and timeline. She was an invaluable source of information and even met with me outside of the pre-scheduled meetings to hash out extra details.
The day of the wedding went so smoothly. Everything was so organized. Any small special requests the day of were handled quickly (they helped me adjust an issue with my florals). The ceremony to dinner flip was efficient and beautifully executed.
It was an amazing night, more than we could've asked for, and The Gala 417 made it happen. -

Better than I could have imagined
The gala 417 is the best venue! They made our day magical and one I could never forget. From the moment we had our first walk through until the end of our night our wedding was perfect thanks to them. All questions I had during the planning process were always answered in a timely manner. The girls that work there are truly amazing. The day of our wedding they ensured we had everything we needed and got everything set up exactly how we wanted. They made sure we were taken care of and we never needed or wanted anything, they were on top of it all and it really allowed us to enjoy every moment of the day/night! If anyone is looking for a venue, stop looking this is definitely it ! -

The Gala Girls were absolutely wonderful to work with! I can't speak more highly of Jackie, Sarah and Amberly! Jackie and Amberly were so helpful and supportive throughout the planning process. Jackie answered all our questions and helped ease the stress of wedding planning. Sarah did an amazing job as our coordinator and everything turned out better than we expected! What else can we say that has not already been said. If you are looking for the perfect experience for your big day, this is it! The Gala 417 goes above and beyond for their couples and families. From booking to our big day, the team with The Gala have been absolutely incredible. Our day of coordinator, Jacqueline, helped our vision become a reality. She was always responsive to any and all questions I had. They handled everything from set up to clean up, which helped our families and us focus on enjoying the day. Our guests have only had positive things to stay about how beautiful the space was and how delicious the food was. We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our wedding. We got married in the most perfect venue with the most amazing staff in all of Hampton Roads!!!!
From the moment we walked in The Gala 417 I knew this was the venue for our special day. The warm welcome and the love greeted us at the door followed by a glass of champagne and a beautiful white rose. Our wedding day 7-21-22 was pure perfection from start to finish. The staff is top notch!!!! You guys really are the best in the 757. Our layout we chose was executed so beautifully every single detail was on point and done with love and care. The food baby the food was delicious… kisses to the chef 😘!!! The bartenders did a great job with our signature drink a strawberry moscow mule it was really perfect, in fact I believe it was a crowd favorite. I want to give a special shoutout to my girl Jacqueline you made sure I was good all day long I love you forever!!!! I could go on and on. If you’re wondering where the perfect venue is with the most amazing staff and location look no further. You guys made all of our wedding day dreams come true we are forever grateful. Book The Gala 417 TRUST ME!!!

The Gala 417 is LITERALLY what dreams are made of. Our July wedding was the most amazing day of our lives thanks to them! The Gala team is so impeccably knowledgeable and talented at what they do that all of my stress melted away. I didn't have to worry about a thing as they flawlessly turned my vision a reality. Honorable mentions go to Sarah, Mariah, and Jackie for their patience and being complete rockstars! From the whimsical ambiance to the smallest detail of edible orchids garnishing guest's plates, everything that Gala has to offer is beautifully and perfectly curated. This isn't just a venue that provides everything you could possibly need, it's a whole magical experience in itself. (I want to have another wedding just thinking about it!!) If you are on the fence about choosing a venue, here's your sign to look no further because you won't find a place that remotely compares to The Gala 417. 10/10 Highly recommend! -

Beautiful venue!
We knew when choosing The Gala 417 we would likely have nothing to worry about on our wedding day and that became so true! First of all, the venue is beautiful and well maintained. There are so many things you can do with the space and the large bar is an added bonus! We knew we wanted a venue where we could have the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception in close proximity and The Gala is a one-stop-shop. There is also outdoor space near the water which is a huge plus. The planning process was easy and fun. Having a day of coordinator (shoutout to Sarah! She's the best!) made our wedding day stress-free and we knew the team would take care of anything we needed. The staff was so fun, kind, and took care of everything. Hands down the best experience of my entire life from start to finish! When we were looking for the perfect venue our goal was to find a place that was all-inclusive, a one stop shop The Gala 417 was the very first venue we came across and I messaged them right away and received a response within seconds their responsiveness sold us we went for a tour and booked the same day!! Leading up to our wedding I continued to receive the same level of quality service. The day of was a complete dream!! Amberly and her entire staff were so attentive! Everything was pure perfection, my glass was never empty and if we needed anything they made sure we had it. It was by far the easiest , most stress free experience of my life!!
I could go on and on about the perfection of The Gala 417 and the staff!! If your are newly engaged and looking for the perfect venue book The Gala 417 I promise it will be the best decision you've ever made!!!! -

Amazing Venue!!!!!
Seriously the best venue in Virginia Beach!!! Their staff is extremely professional and responsive to whatever questions you have. The venue is gorgeous and has a great setting against a marina which is excellent for pictures. Gala's website is very well done and easy to navigate when checking it out. My wife and I could not have found a better venue to have our wedding. -

We looked at and visited TWELVE different venues... the Gala 417 was a hidden gem I found at the last minute. This was the last venue we visited - we knew it was for us as soon as we saw it -
Amberly and Megan were AWESOME! So flexible, so understanding, and so welcoming. From the beginning Amberly responded quickly when I reached out to set something up. Megan was so sweet and friendly when we toured the venue. The taste testing was tricky because my now husband is military - and we all know how their schedules and planning goes. They were more than accommodating with any questions or concerns we had throughout the entire planning process. Megan was even empathetic when we met for our blueprint meeting. I seriously cannot thank these girls enough for making our wedding so “easy”. With all the chaos that was going on during 2020 they helped make this happen - and I got to marry my best friend. So thankful I found the Gala 417.
Also- I don’t know who the bartender was, but he was awesome!!!
The venue is also gorgeous right on the marina - perfect for pictures. Plenty of room for dancing, all of your guests, the chandeliers make it even more beautiful.
We loved the green background for our names be hung up - they even helped us do.
They even let us use an arch!
We loved that everything was on site - bar, alcohol, catering.

They were so helpful and accommodating (especially since our whole engagement happened during Covid) - we can’t say enough about their customer service! Amberly and her staff are SO amazing. She made the planning process (especially during a pandemic) so easy. He staff did such an amazing job with taking my vision for the reception room and making it come alive. It was so dreamy. All of their staff from their servers to their bartenders to their coordinator were the absolute BEST! I cannot recommend this venue enough!!!!

Gala 417 is by far one of my favorite places to be, the energy is always on point. If you are looking for the best place in Virginia Beach to host your event, you found it! I am a professional DJ and I work a few wedding events here every year and already have some lined up for next year.
