I cannot express enough how incredibly grateful we are to Dawn and Richard for making our daughter's wedding day absolutely perfect. Every detail was carefully considered, and they went above and beyond to make this a wonderful day. Perfect Venue!
We couldn't have put together such a perfect wedding without the help of Dawn and Richard. Dawn was on top of everything. She was able to create our vision. She was always one step ahead of us. I have never dealt with more organized, professional people. No request was ever a problem.
The food was great! The Bartenders were quick and professional. You didn't have to wait long at all for a drink.
I would highly recommend this venue!

Excellent Experience
Dawn and Richard at the Farmhouse at People's Light were exceptional to work with. They were warm, engaged, and put us immediately at ease. We could tell that they have a lot of experience with events and helped make our wedding weekend as stress free as possible! It was so nice to have the entire venue to ourselves. It made it so easy to take first look pictures in the garden before our off site ceremony. The bar and wait staff were friendly and courteous, they were even nice enough to box up leftover cake slices for our guests to take home with them! The venue is beautiful and features unique art pieces that make it very special. It was the perfect space for our 115 person wedding. While we didn't have much time to eat during our wedding our guests said they enjoyed the food. All in all we would definitely recommend the Farmhouse at People's Light for your next event!

Unforgettable Wedding Day
We highly recommend The Farmhouse at People's Light for anyone looking for an amazing wedding venue! Dawn helped us with organizing our event and was always available when we had questions. Richard worked with us on finalizing the details for our big day and making sure everything went smoothly. While we wanted to use the beautiful outdoor setting for our ceremony, it rained on our wedding day, and they were flexible in making the covered option just as magical for us. Our guests raved about the delicious food and the unique decor throughout the venue. Overall, we are so thankful we chose this venue and couldn't have asked for a better wedding day!

If you have a large guest list but want a small wedding feel, this is the venue
The Farmhouse was truly the best venue and we could not have been happier with our wedding here. Dawn immediately responded to us and worked to schedule a time for us to tour the next time were were in town. We also loved that their price per person was all inclusive for food and drink, and did not have any hidden costs! Also, all the food and dessert was made in house - they are also a restaurant - and was absolutely delicious. We knew our guest list was a decent size, but did hope to have the wedding feel intimate yet not overcrowded. Our wedding ended up having around 160 attend, but you wouldn't have known that many people were there. Everything went beyond smooth, and we were even able to have our dinner in a separate room to enjoy time with each other before rejoining the party.
Also, a peace of mind for brides worried about the weather during the ceremony: not only was there the original plan for an outdoor ceremony beneath their lovely arbor, but a Plan B in their beautifully lit tent that we used for cocktail hour and a Plan C in their also beautifully lit interior space that is also used for cocktail hour and reception. There truly are no worries when working with this venue, and your wedding will be beyond wonderful.

Our Beautiful Wedding!
We held a 50 person wedding here to celebrate our marriage after we eloped during Covid. Dawn and Richard were incredibly helpful with planning months before hand, helping us coordinate a mini ceremony, and decorating the event space! I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Lovely, beautiful, and amazing!
We were married on 2/3/24 and was planned in 6 weeks! I truly can’t believe how lucky we were to pull off so quickly. Dawn and Richard made it run smoothly with their magic on short notice. Wedding of my Dreams
We had our wedding here in September of 2023, and their performance exceeded my expectations in making my big day come true! Dawn and Richard were a pleasure to work with, any decor I brought they set up exactly how I wanted, and also added their own personal touches to it also to make it even better.
Food was phenomenal here, guests loved it. The whole process was very seamless and I never felt silly with any questions I had for them.
I would absolutely recommend having your wedding here.

Wow. Wow. Wow!!! Dawn, Richard and all staff at the Farmhouse are AMAZING. I am a wedding planner and chose to have my own wedding here. As you can imagine, I might be particular about some things :) but Dawn and Richard are beyond the NICEST and most accommodating people in the industry. Everyone raved about the service and the food was out of this world. Richard said at the tasting, "if people go home hungry that is their own fault." Well..he wasnt wrong! Everyone talked about how large the portion sizes were and how delicious everything was. They truly go above and beyond everything they say they are going to do. It is exactly how I am with my own clients. I felt like I was just great friends with them in the end. If you are considering Peoples Light for any type of function, I strongly urge you to sign that contract ASAP! You wont be sorry. Your stomach and your heart will be full. Farmhouse at People’s Light exceeded my expectations. This venue is very unique and I would highly recommend.
This venue is stunning. The Farmhouse itself is such a special unique space loaded with character. The gardens are amazingly beautiful. It feels as if you are at a mini Longwood Gardens. The venue itself has plenty of space, but with the sliding glass doors, even smaller events would be appropriate. There are loads of artistic touches everywhere: the glasswork, artsy metal lights in the ceiling, string metal cans outside, beautifully designed fire pit, it is truly magical. The staff is truly fabulous. They answered every question and attended to every detail without fail. Totally felt every detail was addressed. Please go visit this venue because you will fall in love!!

Soooo many compliments
Not only were my mother and I so extremely taken back by how easygoing and seamless our planning was thanks to coordinators Dawn and Richard, but our guests were so impressed by the venue, food, decorations and service. And as were we!! So many guests coming up to me raving about how wonderful the space is, the food being so so good, and how great of a time they had feeling so welcomed, comfortable and intimate in the space of the venue. Such a classic vintage and classy, elegant vibe. My family, husband, and myself are still over the moon at how perfect our wedding went and I give all of the credit to Dawn, Richard, the bride’s incredible personal assistant of the day Laura, the waitstaff, and amazing personable bartenders who had everything including our signature drinks made-to-order. Was such a seamless, easy going event. Any request we had, big or small - Dawn and Richard accommodated. I expected something to go wrong, but nothing ever did. I fell in love with this beautiful, intimate venue and cannot wait to go back for dinner in their dining room open to the public!!

Richard, Dawn, Laura & their entire team were absolutely amazing to work with! Incredible Experience!
Where do we start? From day one of finding this location, we were utterly impressed. Their venue is stunning! From the outdoor spaces (amazing ceremony spaces and photo opps) to the beautiful ballroom and cocktail spaces, it was exactly what we wanted, comfortable and casual with just the right amount of elegance. And the food!! Oh my goodness, the food is outstanding!! What an incredible meal! We chose to do a duet plate of braised short ribs and chicken marsala and we heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests! They did not skimp either! The portions were definitely filling! But above all of that, the best part was the staff! From the wonderful interactions with the directors Dawn and Richard to every single server, we felt like we were totally in the best hands possible. They made us feel like family and were 100% invested in what we wanted for our special day. Dawn went above and beyond to make sure we needed from day one to the day of the actual event. She was very responsive to our communications and made working with them a dream! It was the wedding of our dreams and The Farmhouse at People's Light made them come true! I would highly suggest putting them at the top of your list if searching for a venue that will give you peace of mind, value, outstanding cuisine, top notch service, and a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere.

Such an incredible venue with the best team of people who helped us plan our dream wedding. As a covid bride, the rescheduling process was so stressful, but working with Dawn and Richard was such a light in that dark time. I had a April wedding in 2022 at the Farmhouse with ~45 guests. The day was beautiful and all of the guests loved it. Dawn was very professional and accommodating. She really smoothed things out on the day. The getting ready suite is gigantic with multiple rooms, where we took a ton of first look photos. We got the whole place to ourselves, which include both indoor and outdoor. With so much spaces (getting ready suite, outdoor garden, outdoor tent, indoor pavilion, and ballroom), we had a lot of flexibility in terms of planning and weather. It was beautiful. Highly recommend and 10 out of 10!

April 2022 Wedding Review
We booked this venue for our wedding in April 2022 because we wanted our ceremony & reception on site. A lot of other venues charge a minimum amount of money for Fridays/Saturdays, but the Farmhouse does not. Dawn & Richard were so helpful throughout the planning process and the day of. Dawn would email me back same day or next day and addressed all of my concerns. The venue is so pretty and does not need a lot of extra decor. I loved the open floor plan and the tent outside. The chiavari chairs are included and they have spotlights for the tables. It was so pretty at night. The food was amazing and severs/bartenders were all great. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding! It was better than I could have imagined. Thank you so much to all of the staff at The Farmhouse at People’s Light!!!

Fabulous Experience
We had our 40th wedding anniversary dinner at The Farmhouse and can’t say enough good things about the staff. My contacts Dawn and Richard were fantastic to work with and the food and service staff excellent. Lovely setting for our group of 60 - perfect space for cocktails and then dinner in adjoining room. Great value for the price. Would highly recommend.

Best Day Ever
When my wife and I first saw The Farmhouse at People's life we fell in love. We had 2 more venues to look at but when we set foot inside the Farmhouse we knew God put us in the right place for our special day. We were so appreciative for all of the hard work and dedication that Dawn, Rich, Steven, Makada and the rest of the staff did for us to make our day perfect. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way possible. We had access to the entire venue for the day and made the most of it with the beautiful backdrops for our pictures. The food, drinks and dessert were amazing and we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be back for more family celebrations!!!

The best decision I made
My husband and I got married at the farmhouse in October 2021. We reserved the venue during the summer of 2020. Dawn and Richard made the whole process so easy. From beginning to end, they were always on top of everything. The farmhouse at people's light are truly professionals. They made sure we were always taken care of. Dawn was the main person we were in contact during the planning process. She was so fast at responding and she answered every annoying question we had! The most magical part was not needing to hire a day of coordinator. On the day of our wedding, Richard coordinated our vendors. Our cake was late, so our florist had to return later in the day before our ceremony and richard took care of everything. He even placed our cake topper on for us!
We are so happy we got married at the Farmhouse at People's Light!!

Beautiful venue and excellent wedding experience
My wife and I expected planning a wedding in 2021 would have a number of unique challenges due to the pandemic, but we are so happy that we chose the Farmhouse at People's Light for our wedding venue. Simply put, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Dawn and Richard were very responsive to our questions and concerns as we were initially considering the venue, they were very transparent throughout the entire process (contract signing, tastings, additional tours for planning, coordination with our other vendors, etc.), and the communication and flexibility up through the wedding was top-notch. For the rehearsal and wedding day, Dawn/Richard and the other staff at the Farmhouse were very attentive to our needs and requests. They were able to set up our wedding ceremony and reception exactly as we had wanted it (and were able to work in all of the personal touches we requested). Looking back, we had an amazing indoor / outdoor wedding (100 guests) that was beautifully decorated and fully met our expectations. We were quite pleased with our decision to choose the Farmhouse as our wedding venue and the team at the venue made it a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

From start to finish Dawn and Richard were amazing and helped with every little thing I needed. Always fast to respond as well! From the day before setting up to the day of, Dawn made sure I was relaxed and everything was going smoothly! Not only is the price so worth it but the customer service is top notch!! Picture Perfect
The Farmhouse at People's Light ended up being our dream wedding venue. It was the first place we looked, and we checked out many locations, but we always came back to The Farmhouse at People's Light as the right choice for our wedding. Dawn and Richard were incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way. They truly wanted our day to be special and were always available to answer questions or assist in any way they could. All their help before, during, and after the wedding alleviated a ton of stress. Typically wedding food is not one of the highlights of the day; that was definitely not the case here. The food was amazing. The guests echoed that sentiment, along with telling us that the location was beautiful and perfect for us. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. We cannot think of a single negative thing about this venue. Weddings are not cheap, but the value here is unmatched. We were happy to be able to have our perfect wedding at The Farmhouse at People's Light and support such a wonderful location filled with wonderful people.

Simply Amazing
Dawn, Richard, and their entire team were amazing to work with. We originally had plans to get married last year somewhere else and than the pandemic hit. Instead of going into the city, we wanted to stay local. Clear communication between Dawn and Richard the entire process. Anything that I could imagine, they made it happen. They kept me calm and reassured me even when we had small issues that had nothing to do with the venue. They were amazing to work with and such a beautiful venue. I honestly wish I could've take a breath in and appreciated the amazing work they did. The food was amazing, the venue is beautiful, everything was wonderful. I could not appreciate them enough. We hope to come back for our vows renewal later on in life and I dearly hope that Dawn and Richard are still making dreams come true because the next people have a very impressive shoe to fit. Thank you Farmhouse at People's Light for being such an amazing venue!

Thank you Dawn and Richard for making our wedding reception flow so seamlessly! The farmhouse is such a beautiful venue with so much flexibility. Richard and Dawn were always extremely responsive and helped us through all the details that comes with wedding planning and especially with all the uncertainty of COVID. Dawn always made time for us for venue walkthroughs, meetings or phone calls and we definitely did many! In COVID, it seemed like this venue thrived and became so creative with event set-up such as multiple locations to have the cocktail hour and dinner around the farmhouse and they have made many awesome updates to this venue over the time from our first booking till our wedding day. They think of every detail to make your wedding day great even down to keeping our dinner warm for us while we were talking to our guests at the reception which was so thoughtful!

The Best Day of My Life

Amazing venue!
The Farmhouse at People's Light was a wonderful reception venue for our wedding. We found them through a family member who had attended events there before. Throughout our planning process, Dawn and Richard were quick to respond, professional, and accommodating to our questions and requests (i.e. COVID concerns, food options for children, special dietary requests). On our wedding day, the venue looked even better than what we had imagined. Dawn and Richard made sure we had whatever we needed and checked in frequently; we even had our own server for cocktail hour while we were taking pictures! They really made it a point to make sure that we got to enjoy our own wedding. The food was fantastic and all of our guests kept raving about what a blast they had. We would recommend the Farmhouse to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you Dawn and Richard for helping us have the perfect wedding day!!!

Wonderful!
My daughter got married here on June 5th. I could not be happier with the way the day turned out. This venue is beautiful. The food was outstanding. Our guests raved about how wonderful everything was. I was told by many of them that it was the best dinner they have ever had at a wedding. Dawn is wonderful to work with. So flexible and accommodating. It is a great value for your money. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this venue. If you have your wedding here, you will not regret it!

Best day ever!
We are truly blessed to have found the Farmhouse at People's Light for our wedding. Dawn was incredible from the very beginning. She was always a text, email, or phone call away to answer any questions. She is very patient and was sure to make our day perfect. She made the process completely stress free.. and not to mention the food is incredible! The grounds are beautiful for photos and the updated farm tables and bar were the perfect touch. Our day turned out better than we could have ever imagined. We had many complements on the friendly staff and romantic/garden aesthetics. If you stumble upon the Farmhouse in your wedding planning, don't let it go. It will be the best day ever with a great team to lead you through it all.

Amazing experience all around!
From the minute we met Dawn and Richard we knew we found our wedding venue. Unlike many of the venues in the PA/NJ area that felt very corporate and just out to make money, Dawn and Richard made us feel at home. They were very flexible, accommodating, and said they would do everything they could to make sure our Covid wedding happened (I did not want to have to move dates). They felt like teammates and family not just event managers. Leading up to the wedding, Dawn was extremely responsive and always willing to hop on a call or take a meeting if we were in town from NYC. She even took various meeting with our vendors to ensure everything went smoothly.
Now onto the wedding: We had private access to the entire venue all day and night which was a key selling point for us especially in COVID. The venue has so much character and is a perfect combination of rustic, chic, and elegant. They have done an amazing job with their recent renovations so everything feels modern while still maintaining its historic/rustic character. The service and presentation of everything from start to finish was impeccable. Even when we arrived, Dawn set up the cutest food and beverage stations for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Dawn and her team were constantly checking in and made sure everything ran smoothly. I can’t tell you one thing that went wrong (and I would have noticed as an event planner myself). The ceremony was beautiful on the lawn.. Dinner in the tent (which is also beautiful) felt like an elegant and magical garden party. The food was absolutely amazing and I’m a huge foodie (as are my guests). Everyone was raving about the venue/food all night and left full unlike a lot of weddings. I could go on and on with this review. My wedding was everything I could have hoped for and more. Look no further and book Farmhouse! It’s truly a magical venue with the most amazing staff you’ll ever meet.

Perfect night
We can’t say enough about The Farmhouse, at the People’s Light. Every detail was taken care of, even ones we hadn’t thought of. Our wedding was during a pandemic and a hurricane, Dawn and Richard handled all of it with ease, all while reassuring us our night would be perfect. The setting is beautiful and spacious with outside options; a private room for the bride to get ready and a cozy room with a fireplace for our guests to enjoy as well. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! And the best part, we can return for dinner in their restaurant whenever we want to relive our night, and maybe even catch a show.
Can’t imagine any place more perfect for our wedding! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Elegant with a great service is how I would describe The Farmhouse at People’s light!
I had my daughter bridal shower at the Farm House the food was excellent the service even better the venue was so elegant all my guest loved it and had a great time! Dawn the event coordinator could not have been more helpful along with her staff to make our day perfect!
I recommend it so highly because of the venue and the quality of service in my experience it’s hard to get both!

True Excellence
The Farmhouse at Peoples Light is a beautiful space to have your wedding, shower, etc... That, you can see in the pictures. What you can’t see is the hard work to make your wedding/event absolutely perfect. That’s not saying Mother Nature didn’t do her best to throw a monkey wrench into it. The remnants of a hurricane dumped several inches of rain the night before our event which was too much rain for even the huge tent to keep dry. Despite all that rain, Dawn and Richard jumped into action. When we arrived to the final inspection, we were expecting a swamp, instead, we found it to be perfect and better than anyone could have anticipated. In fact, better than we ever imagined. Now let’s get to the food. Simply amazing. You can tell this is a place that really cares about the quality and taste of their food. The apps came out hot and everyone there commented how good they were. There are a couple of items I highly recommend. First of all, the grilled cheese and tomato soup. I think everyone told us they loved it. In fact, my kids loved it so much, that they asked me to buy some from the store on ask for the recipe. Delicious. The second item, and definitely a crowd favorite was the French fry bar. Most people get it for their departing station, but we had it during the reception. A couple different styles of fries, with several toppings from chili to cheese, to bacon, etc. I would definitely recommend that. But our other food was equally good, these were just the favorites!
After all was said and done, the only complaint I have is that the time went too fast. If Dawn and Richard can figure a way to stop time so that it lasts forever, that would be great! On a side note, there is a restaurant at the People’s Light. So as a couple, when you want to reminisce on your wedding night, this is one of few places that you can go back to the site of the happiest day and get another ‘taste’ of it.

Happiness + Love = The Farmhouse at People's Light
We hosted a micro-wedding at The Farmhouse at People's Light. Dawn, Richard, and rest of the service staff at The Farmhouse were amazing. The day was filled with love, laughter, and fun. Dawn and Richard took care of so much before, during, and after where there was zero stress - that is a BIG deal for a bride. Our guests really enjoyed the venue and expressed what a perfect match it was for us. From day one Dawn headed us in the right direction for florist and cake vendors. I could go on and on about how much we appreciate this team and the venue but I will leave it at this: hands down the best venue for a wedding. Don't forget to support their non-profit theatre, an equally awesome location for entertainment and community engagement.

Our experience with this venue was outstanding! Dawn and Richard were both wonderful to work with. Dawn was very prompt in responding to my questions, and and they were really flexible to change a lot of aspects of the wedding last minute as a result of Covid. They took health and safety precautions very seriously, and no one at the wedding got sick. Everyone also raved about the food! We highly recommend this beautiful venue!

The Feeling of Normalcy during a Pandemic kind of Wedding
(Actually Married 08/29/2020. Ignore the other date)
The Farmhouse at People's Light did a fantastic job with our wedding this past Saturday. They worked with us with every last second detail. Dawn and Richard were only a text/email/call away if we had any questions or concerns. And we did have some last minute additions on the day of our wedding. And they had no issues adding extra people the day of!
My favorite thing that they had done was they made our wedding day feel like it was just a normal wedding (because planning a wedding during a global pandemic was stressful enough). I was worried that it wasn't going to feel as normal; everyone wearing masks, keeping the 6ft distance, location of tables etc. But the Farmhouse staff had organized it where I didn't even notice it. Dancing was normal; there was so much space that everyone had already spaced themselves out properly. Face masks were available everywhere; got up from your table and forgot to grab your mask? No problem! They had masks available all around the room as well as at the doorway, for the guests that were sitting outside. Also, they would flag you down and give you one if you got too far. So thankful for the "Mask Police".
Even if there was a hurricane supposed to rain on our wedding that day, they had plenty plans to figure out how to get us to have a safe and social distanced ceremony. But we got the clear skies and sunshine we were hoping for. They did make some adjustments to where all of our tables went, just incase the rain did come back. Which I felt helped with bring the normalcy to our day. With just the wedding party inside, it helped give space to us as well as our guests that were seated under the tent outside. The windows helped make it feel that we were all together, even if there was a barrier.
They took what I had envisioned for decorations and put it to life without me even being there. They were on top of it! They contacted each of our vendors the same week as the wedding and verified everything, which helped relieve some of my stress.
The food was AMAZING. All of our guest were raving over every dish we had chosen. The salmon was moist, and wasn't super fishy. (I don't eat fish, and I thought it was good!). The NY Strip, every one of our guests that had it LOVED it. They kept telling my husband, and it was upset he didn't get it. The stuffed chicken was my favorite. It was a large piece of chicken stuffed with cranberry stuffing. Everything was moist and cooked to perfection. And when we had to do the tasting, they let us tweak some of the meals to our liking. Which I really liked. They really let us customize everything.
I have to say, as a covid-19 bride, I am beyond thankful that my husband and I booked The Farmhouse at People's Light as our venue. They went above and beyond what I had hoped for and it really helped us have that special day. So if you're looking for an affordable venue. If you're looking for staff that will be right there and work with you to get you that special day you've been dreaming of. Contact the Farmhouse at People's Light. Perfect choice for an elegant wedding venue
What a glorious day for my Daughter and Son in Law’s wedding! Dawn and Richard thought of every detail and were amazing to work with. Dawn is very prompt in her responses and is very reassuring and helpful to the nervous bride!

Wedding of our dreams
With COVID going on, we were tempted to change our date till next year. From day one, Dawn and Richard were EXTREMELY sweet, professional, responsive, caring and understanding. Despite covid and all, the famrhouse and their staff made our wedding day the day we can only dream of! The service, the drinks, the food, everything was amazing!! The Best Ever
This was a second wedding for my wife and I. I am 74 and she is 65 and we both have had weddings before, for ourselves and our children. No wedding was as easy and as nice. Richard and Dawn are amazing to work with. They are easy, flexible and take the worries of your hands. I am a stickler for detail, and as a result worry about every detail, and they took care of everything completely, competently and with no stress. They said "we will take care of it" and they did. Cannot praise them any higher. The food was great. Not the usual wedding fair. Everything was excellent. Our guests even commented on how good the food was, and the service was impeccable. The most amazing thing is that guests came up to us after the wedding, and told us how great everyone was. I highly recommend the Peoples Light Farmhouse. The venue is great, the people are super and the food was top notch. Lastly, the value is great. The price was very reasonable and everything (flowers and wedding cake) was included.

Stress free planing
My fiancé and I planned our wedding in 7 months and could not have done it without the amazing staff at the Farmhouse! Their packages made it easy to plan everything at the reception, once we selected our package, the staff took it from there. They met with us in person wherever we asked to meet to go over information for our wedding day and were very thorough. They took all of our stress of planning away and made our wedding day perfect! They included decorations for the season so we didn’t have to do much as far as decorating, aside from our personal decorations which the staff set up for us the night before!
Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue is and our pictures turned out so nicely from our ceremony to our outdoor pictures in the garden to the reception pictures on the large dance floor. Perfect place for a December wedding!

An unforgettable wedding reception
My husband and I toured the Farmhouse late last year (Nov 2018) and immediately fell in love with the venue. A huge plus was their simple and straightforward estimates. Their prices include food, bar, tables, table linens, etc. which remained consistent throughout our process. Any questions were quickly and professionally replied to, and all guests with dietary restrictions were easily accomodated. Everyone we spoke to at and after our reception was blown away with the food and the beautiful venue! Also, for our day-of we had Richard and Eve ensuring that it all went smoothly, and it absolutely did. Our reception was even better than what we hoped and dreamed, and exceeded ALL of our expectations. Thank you Farmhouse!

Fabulous Venue and Staff
Our daughter's wedding at The Farmhouse at Peoples Light was absolutely perfect! I cannot say enough good things about our experience. The venue itself it quite lovely with lots of outdoor spaces and views. The food was delicious and they provided a really nice variety of options. The service was off the hook. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so attentive to the details. This was the attitude of everyone including the wonderful wait staff. Eve, the event coordinator, was a dream to work with. She was calm, flexible, and took care of every detail. Richard, the General Manager was incredible as well. He also made sure the evening went off without a hitch! They went above and beyond to make our event a huge success.

Beautiful Evening

Wedding Celebration Luncheon
We cannot rave enough about our experience with The Farmhouse at People’s Light. Cathy Lewandowski was absolutely wonderful – from offering suggestions (even down to how to add color to the room by draping the turquoise napkins off the edge of the table), to answering a ton of questions, to even assisting us in setting up the tables with our decorations. Everyone commented how delicious the food was, as well as the excellent service. The entire venue setting was beautiful, too. Our daughter and son-in-law were married a month earlier in Grand Cayman with only the immediate families attending. So, we wanted this celebration to be a special treat for them to share with friends and the rest of the families. Very, very happy we selected The Farmhouse for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding celebration luncheon. It was perfect!

The Farmhouse is a beautiful venue. We loved the indoor area to have the ceremony as well as the outside garden area for pictures. Our event coordinator, Shawn, was super helpful the whole time. She was quick to respond to emails and phone calls and helped us plan the wedding step by step. The price was good compared to other venues in the area and I think most, if not all, proceeds from the wedding venue go back to the nonprofit theater next door. The food was good and the catering staff professional. Our guests loved the venue. I highly recommend this place to get married!

My wife and I were married at The Farmhouse on June 2, 2017 and it was a wonderful experience. Starting with our first visit to the venue, preparation for the event, the tasting, the actual event and a follow-up trip for dinner and a show, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail. We had 80 quests at our wedding and everyone commented on what a great time they had and the beauty of the venue. The flexibility of the venue leads me to believe it could easily handle smaller or much large weddings. The food was awesome and we had a difficult time choosing a menu because all the food at the tasting was delicious (BTW, bring a couple of people with you to the tasting because the share a lot of food with you). The outdoor seating was perfect for the wedding and the recently updated outdoor façade and adjacent cocktail area was perfect for our wedding. During our event, Kyle was very attentive to our needs throughout the night and did an excellent job in ensuring the success of the wedding. We used a couple of the vendors recommended by The Farmhouse (Platinum Disc Jockeys and Master’s Baker) and they both did an excellent job. It was great that they had a list of vendors we could work with which helped alleviate some of the pressure of planning a wedding. All in all, it was a great experience and I’d recommend checking out this venue for your wedding

Allan and I are so glad we found The Farmhouse. This charming historic venue with rolling gardens was just what we had hoped to find for our October 2017 wedding. One of the things we loved the most was the variety of choices in their wedding packages. We had a hard time deciding what to try at our complimentary tasting let alone what to serve at our reception. Kyle and Bob were a wealth of knowledge about vendor recommendations. They helped us find our DJ, florist, baker, hotel, etc which really helped us streamline the planning process, as we only had a few months to plan. The day of our wedding the staff and food were terrific! Even the General Manger, Ellen stopped by to wish us well! So cheers to The Farmhouse and its staff! Wow! We don’t know know where to start! Our wedding reception was the best night of our lives so far! The food was exceptional, the service extraordinary, the bartender was a blast, and the venue itself was absolutely gorgeous with the accent lighting, perfectly manicured lawns and gardens and even a fire pit. We had so much fun that we booked it again for a 1 year anniversary party. If you haven’t been to the Farmhouse, you positively MUST get there for the experience!

After moving to Texas from the Philadelphia area, we still wanted to have our wedding at "home", and working with the venue was so easy to plan from halfway across the country! Spencer was absolutely wonderful to work with and put us completely at ease from the first time we met him. His response time is excellent and his personality is so fun to be around! He knows what he is doing. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, I can not even think of one little thing that didn't go as desired. The ceremony (which had to be moved under the patio at literally the last minute due to rain), reception, food, staff, EVERYTHING was wonderful. My husband and I had an amazing time as did our guests. We have gotten so many compliments. This place is beautiful inside and out and includes a lot with your package which makes things easy. The day flew by but one thing that stands out is the fact that I was able to enjoy myself the entire time and not worry about a single thing, and it all went off without a hitch thanks to Spencer and everyone at The Farmhouse. I absolutely recommend this place!

From the minute I met the wedding coordinator, Spencer, and saw the venue, I knew it would be perfect for us. The venue is beautiful and allows for amazing pictures to be taken, both the outside garden area and the inside rustic feel was exactly what we were going for. Spencer made for a stress free year of planning and the night ran so smoothly. The food was excellent and the drinks were made perfectly. We could not have imagined a more perfect day. We (and all of our guests) had a fabulous time. I had a very specific idea in my mind of how I wanted our day to be and through Spencer Brennan's planning and organization he brought it to life! He had incredible patience with all my questions, charts and planning and showed grace and good judgment when it came to how things should be run and set up. From jumping in as bartender to dancing with our guests his presence and positive/problem solving attitude made the day everything we could ever wish for!
When we found out there was a transition in the coordinator we would be working with in August I went into panic mode but as soon as we met Spencer, he put both Andrew and I totally at ease. It turns out that switch was the best thing to ever happen to our wedding! When we came up for a food tasting, we left feeling absolutely confident that one of the most important days in our life was in good hands! (And oh my god that dressing!) We knew that no matter what happened he would make sure that the wedding would go smoothly. And it did. There was absolutely nothing left for us to worry about. I know there were things that happened throughout the day that provided challenges but we did not know anything about them!
We had such a wonderful time, we wish we could do it all over again.

We were really happy with our wedding ceremony & reception that was held at the People's Light Theater & Farmhouse. Everyone loved the garden atmosphere. I was very pleased with Betsy (the event coordinator) and her professionalism, flexibility and just the fact that she was a sweet person who was easy to work with. We wanted a wedding that was simple and elegant and we found just that at the People's Light. I would recommend this venue for brides who are down to earth, and want to keep things simple yet beautiful for their wedding day. At the last minute, due to the heat and humidity- we decided to move the ceremony inside- Betsy was quick to direct her team regarding the change and did a wonderful job at transforming the inside for our ceremony. I honestly did not have to worry about a thing.
One thing to note is that the previous chef from about two years back now works at a nearby restaurant and is very outspoken about his personal feelings about the falling out he had with management that resulted in his termination from the farmhouse. I went there with my family and he tried to convince me not to have our event there- so beware of reviews bashing the new management and staff- because based on my experience they seem to stem from the previous chef who is still very bitter about being asked to leave.

Rescheduled Wedding Reception
We had originally scheduled our daughter's wedding and reception for March 21,2020, six days after PA closed due to COVID. Although we went ahead with a private ceremony, we had to reschedule the reception TWICE! Richard and Dawn could not have been more accommodating and flexible as we tried to find a time that we could actually celebrate without overwhelming restrictions. Throughout the planning, they were open to our ideas and available to answer questions and make suggestions. Finally, on July 17,2021 we had a storybook reception at The Farmhouse. Everything looked beautiful and the food was fabulous. The entire staff did a great job taking care of our guests.

Beautiful inside and out!
Farmhouse was excellent!! It was a perfect venue for our first look/ceremony and reception! Beautiful outdoor area for our ceremony and spacious but cozy reception room. The staffing was very accommodating .

Wonderful venue!
We had a reception for my son and daughter-in-law after they had a destination wedding abroad. The food was delicious and the venue was beautiful. Cathy and team went out of their way to make our event a memorable one. We would definitely use this venue again for major family events.

The service was outstanding and the professionalism paramount, The the venue and the food was outstanding. There was a change in the individual managing the event for my son and daughter-in-law but there was no a missed beat during the transition.

Peoples Light was absolutely perfect for our big day! From day one the team was right there with us to make the planning process as easy going and enjoyable as possible! I’ve heard such horror stories about planning weddings, so I was super suprised and thankful at how pain free they made it! The food was absolutely fantastic and had all my guests full and raving about how great the venue was! This place is truly a gem! The grounds are beautiful with many places to get some beautiful photos! The farmhouse just adds a whole country chic historic vibe that people really appreciate! A beautiful alternative to what other venues offer. Between the good food, friendly staff and uniqueness that is People’s Light, it’s worth every penny! My husband and I would highly recommend this wonderful place!

My husband and I got married here on June 26, 2016 and the entire process was a breeze. We wouldn't have changed a thing about our day, and were so pleased with everything about the venue - food, scenery/landscaping, staff, atmosphere and layout, etc. The staff (Bob, Ellen, Catherine, etc.) were pleasant to work with and very accommodating. They were very detailed in making sure everything for our day was well-planned in advance so that we didn't have to worry about a thing come the wedding day. Our guests have had nothing but great things to say about the venue and the food. We chose to have an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception and this worked wonderfully on a warm day in June. We were thankful for a backup plan, if it decided to rain, but thankfully it did not! We really wanted to have every part of our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) all in one convenient location and the Farmhouse was perfect for this. Overall, we are ecstatic about how our day turned out and would highly recommend this venue for a wedding or other event. Our only disappointment was not getting to enjoy the food because we were so busy mingling with our guests, etc. We will certainly be returning for a meal (and a show!) at the Bistro soon. Thank you to the staff!
