  Bat Mitzvah Party

  Melisa from The Event of a Lifetime helped us create the most amazing celebration for my daughters' Bat Mitzvah. From collaboration on the theme, to finding the perfect venue and vendors to realize our vision. Her attention to detail was amazing. It was beyond anything we could have imagined. She is a pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend her services highly enough.

  Last night completely exceeded all expectations! Melisa, everything was planned to perfection, and executed so smoothly! The food was delicious, music was super fun and decor was stunning…It was the most perfect night ever!

  Melisa did such a wonderful job helping us plan our perfect day! All of her ideas and recommendations were perfect! Everything went off without a hitch, we were able to enjoy ourselves knowing your team had everything under control. Frankly, we weren’t sure we needed a planner, but looking back it was the best decision!

Since I have such a busy schedule Melisa's assistance enabled me to do what I needed to do while being involved in my wedding without being overwhelmed with details...all the while knowing that I was in good hands and that Melisa had everything under control. My day of coordinator Maura was remarkable on my wedding day, competent and calming. I had complete confidence in your team!

  Great choice!

  All went smooth with our wedding with many great suggestions thanks to The Event Of A Lifetime, Inc. Amazing , considering I was in Europe and only in remote contact with New York. The best part was the access to spectacular venues that were not on our radar and the adaptability to our dietary and other special requests. A great choice for your special event.

She helped to plan my son’s Bar Mitzvah and she guided me through every step of the planning process. she listened to me and what my son wanted for the event, and she is plugged into all that is popular with the kids so she could provide advice and guidance on everything from venue selection, invitations (which were so amazing and creative), favors, dance floor giveaways, entertainment and decor. I highly recommend Melisa and would work with her again.

  Awesome Planner for my Backyard Bar Mitzvah

  The Event of a Lifetime helped me plan my son's backyard Bar Mitzvah. COVID changed our plans drastically, and Melissa and her team made our day and night time party truly amazing. From the first call I had with Melissa to the final day of set up, she made everything run as smoothly as possible and made sure I was adhering to all the COVID guidelines. She referred me vendors to use that were reasonably priced and all showed up and did exactly what they said they would. She problem solved a major issue with the tent for me the day before the party and even up to the start of the party, allowing me not to worry! I can only say great things about The Event of A Lifetime. Thank you to Melissa and her team for their guidance and support throughout the party planning!!! I would recommend them to all.

Melisa also recommended excellent vendors and helped us negotiate for what we wanted and needed. On the night of the wedding, many of our guests told us how pleasant Melisa and her team were and how they helped things run very smoothly. And...she pulled this off on one of the worst weather nights of the season - torrential rain for the entire duration of the party! There is no better planner in the business.   Phenomenal Event Planner

  We’ve had Melisa’s help with 2 Bat Mitzvahs, 10 years apart… and we’d want Melisa’s help for every event we host in the future… she’s incredible! 3 things: (1) She’s an amazing organizer, making sure that we’re getting the best service at the best price from all of the vendors, and then coordinating their activity. (2) She’s a magical problem-solver, seeming to have found and implemented solutions before we even realized there was problem. From small hiccups (like, the cake delivery van being rear-ended just before reaching our site) to bigger hurdles (like, NYC inspectors shutting down a site just weeks before the event, or a pandemic requiring constant re-thinking of every aspect of a party)… she handles it all; it’s astounding. (3) As importantly, Melisa really listens to how our daughter and we describe hopes for the day, thinks about what we’re “really” saying (even if we don’t realize), and develops a vision that realizes all of that with so much more creativity than we could possibly bring to this ourselves. She’s essential; having her involved allow us to enjoy the day and the time leading up to it, without the headaches and hassles, with the confidence that any unexpected trouble will be resolved, and with memories of an event that will last a lifetime. We couldn’t be more enthusiastic or grateful.

  In The Best Hands!

  I engaged Melisa’s services to help me plan a Silver Anniversary celebration (mine) for 75-100 people. The Event of A Lifetime, Inc. had been HIGHLY recommended by a friend who had worked with them on her own large affair. I found Melisa to be very knowledgeable, organized, creative and responsive. After an initial phone call and emails, we met face to face to further discuss my ideas, preferences, etc. , and plan next steps. Melisa is a very warm, engaging person, and made me feel comfortable in her presence. She shared her valuable insights, ideas and know-how to help flesh out some of my initial ideas on various aspects of the party. Within a few days of that initial meeting, Melisa had already identified and narrowed down venue choices based on my criteria, and made contact with them on my behalf. She sent me links and info on them, and she shared her “inside” knowledge on the particulars of each.
  
  I was feeling very enthusiastic about the party and the prospect of working with Melisa. Unfortunately, our initial planning activities took place in March 2020, and within a few days of our last discussion about scheduling visits to the venues, NY shut down all non-essential services due to COVID!
  
  My husband and I are not yet ready to resume our party planning. When we are, I would not hesitate to contact Melisa at The Event of a Lifetime, Inc. to resume my work with her on planning a fabulous celebration.

  We are incredibly grateful to Melisa and her team for their expertise and professionalism. We were lucky enough to have been working with Melisa before the pandemic and even luckier that she guided us on how to celebrate safely in these times.   Melisa with The Event of a Lifetime was amazing in planning my son's bar mitzvah. She provided organization, vendor recommendations, thoughtful pointers & reminders and a much needed time table to plan the big day. Melisa thinks of everything!! Melisa is extremely creative and in the know as to what is new & exciting for teen entertainment & activities. Emails and phone calls were promptly answered. As the coronavirus pandemic derailed our much anticipated celebration (lockdown occurred 3 weeks prior), she was proactive with alternative arrangements. She took my vision and translated it into the wedding of my dreams (and then some)! Melisa’s relationships with vendors introduced us to the right people and got us the best service and prices which saved us time, money and stress. Melisa’s communication, creativity, organization and negotiating made planning our wedding stress free and enjoyable. She has an unparalleled attention to detail and continuously came up with original ideas to personalize our wedding. My wedding exceeded my wildest dreams and because Melisa & her staff were there we were able to enjoy it. I cannot recommend Melisa and her team enough!

  Excellent Team

  Melisa at Event of A Lifetime, Inc was vital in helping me plan my Castle Chic Summer wedding. She was helpful in organizing the vendors contracts and scheduling the timing of events for all the vendors the day of. Her team was wonderful in keeping the whole bridal party and vendors on schedule the day of the wedding. They helped me think of creative ideas to make my wedding unique and symbolic to me and my husband. I felt very assured and at ease having them there by my side (especially Maura who was unbelievable!) I would recommend them to any bride!
