Superstars!

We hired TEGI as month-of coordinators, and we are SO glad we did. We went into the wedding planning process thinking we could handle it ourselves...but having Tanya and her team to support us in the final stretch was worth every penny. They dutifully tracked down vendors' paperwork to submit to the venue, coordinated the final timeline, made sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right times, and had so many helpful suggestions and feedback on everything from the best placement of the gift table to what kind of escort cards would make the most sense for our outdoor venue throughout that entire final month. We had a Persian/American blended wedding, so they had the extra challenge of having to set up a sofreh which they'd never even heard of! But they nailed it (with a little help) and everything looked great, and they loaded all of our stuff (TWO cars worth) into our cars themselves at the end of the night so we could focus on our guests. They attended our venue walkthrough and any other final meetings as well as our rehearsal the day before, and really just made us feel like we could "let go" and actually enjoy our wedding on the day. The peace of mind was honestly priceless.

Wedding Planning with Tonya

Tanya and her team were wonderful to work with. We had a backyard bash so there were many things to consider and moving pieces. She was on top of things - everything from noise permits, parking logistics, and handling everything on-site day of. She also has a great energy, which, is so appreciated becasue planning can get a little overwhelming at times. Highly recommend TEGI!

This company superceded everything I specifically wanted and could ever imagine for my event. I was late contacting this company but I still needed the celebration party to be magnificent and on schedule. They absolutely did everything from the beginning of the planning down to the last second of the event. They are the best of the best. All of the guests will be boasting about the grandiloquence of the event for years to come.

We planned our whole wedding in three months, and originally didn't think we'd need a planner. About a month out, after hearing enough people say having a day-of coordinator was the best money spent in their budget (or that it was the one thing they regretted not having), we were able to snag Tanya's amazing services. She worked with our schedules and thought of everything we had forgotten or didn't even think of to begin with. The day of, she made sure order came from the chaos and I never had to know about any issues. It was beautiful and she was a pleasure to work with, however briefly. Can't say enough, we couldn't have pulled it off without her.

Tanya was wonderful! We hired her for day of coordination. She graciously worked within our budget and let us book her far in advance compared to other vendors that offer day of coordination. My husband and I handled almost all of the wedding planning ourselves, but we were confident in passing everything off to Tanya and her lovely assistant. We met with Tanya about a week before the wedding for a venue walk-through and she took it from there. The day of, we did not worry about a single detail. The venue looked exactly like how we pictured it, Tanya helped keep us on schedule, and if there were any last-minute decisions to be made, she always checked with us first instead of assuming the answer. And best of all, at the end of the reception Tanya and her assistant cleared the room quickly, brought all of our gifts to our hotel room, gave us extra plates of desserts since we didn't have time to eat them, and set up the leftover flowers all over the room. It was the perfect way to wrap up our wedding. We highly recommend Tanya and her team!

If I had to do my wedding all over again I would not have changed one thing and that is all thanks to Tanya Wilbon. Every single thing about my wedding was perfect. My husband and I are still getting compliments from our guests about how it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. Whenever I needed her, all I had to do was pick up the phone and Tanya was there with her support and her ideas as to how she could get whatever it is that we needed done. The night before the wedding I asked Tanya what I needed to do the next day and she said, “just be fabulous!” On my wedding day I was fabulous! Tanya handled everything. From the start to AFTER the finish, Tanya and her team were always one step ahead and made planning my wedding a BLAST. I was planning from out of state and only made two weekend trips while planning my wedding (not even needed, the vendors Tanya selected were perfect for our style and incredibly talented). I was a little clueless about everything that goes into a wedding and I looked forward to Tanya's updates to keep my on my timeline. It's hard to review everything that The Event Group International did because it was literally EVERYTHING. TEGI has amazing vendor connections but no pressure if you want more options or to pick your own. TEGI hand addressed save-the-dates and invites, collaborating with the stationary designer the entire way. Rehearsal dinner organization, weekend schedule help, transportation arrangement for both days, out-of-town bags (construction, delivery), meeting with vendors to give feedback, construction to final touches of the space, vendor payment and tips...
Tanya and the team will give you the wedding of your dreams. They will take care of every detail so that you can focus only on what matters to you. Hiring this team was the best and only decision I had to make to throw a wedding my family and friends will be talking about forever.

We hired TEGI as our wedding planner about 6 months prior to our wedding date. We worked with Tanya closely during those 6 months and we cannot rave about her enough. Many planners, especially the bigger ones, make you feel like just another client in their long list. Tanya goes out of her way to be incredibly responsive to every e-mail and phone call and she makes you feel like you are her only client! I was very hands on with my wedding planning and leaned on Lauren for pretty much every decision. She has so much patience in this often frenzy-filled world of wedding planning and is always positive. She and her team shined on our wedding day, handling every little detail, every vendor, with ease. She has a knack for making you feel relaxed and that it is all going to be handled fine.

I cannot say enough good things about Tanya Wilbon and her team. She exceeded my expectations and was so wonderful to work with. I hired Tanya for day-of services and it felt like she did so much more. I wasn't originally going to get a planner in order to save money but once we got towards the end, I started to feel overwhelmed and thank goodness we did! Tanya is so knowledgeable on how the flow of weddings should go and she was so helpful. She is so fast with responding to emails which was so great. Tanya knew exactly what I wanted and totally understood my vision so I felt totally comfortable on the day of when I was getting ready, I didn't have to worry about anything. When I arrived to the venue everything was perfect and beyond amazing, and I know she worked so hard to set it all up. Tanya and her team did so many little things during the wedding that I didn't even realize because I was so busy with all the craziness of the wedding. They were great at communicating and letting me know what was coming up next during the reception. There is so much that I can say about the services that Tanya provided my husband and me. I was a desperate bride that came to her with a 6 month engagement. Needless to say I was very stressed out and faced so much negativity from other wedding planners because my date was so close. My experience working with Tanya and TEGI was nothing but the best. I started by meeting with 3 different wedding planners. There are many reasons I went with Tanya, but the first main thing that caught my attention was that she was adamant that whatever our budget for the wedding was that it would be beautiful and perfect.
I had a very long engagement and thus a long time to plan my wedding... throughout the entire process Tanya was there for me to bounce ideas off of and offer suggestions. This was really important to me because despite my wedding being over a year away (at the beginning of our relationship) she made me feel very important. While others thought it was silly for me to be planning some details so much in advance, Tanya saw the importance of this to me and helped facilitate and made my planning possible.
When we hired Tanya my parents were very skeptical that we needed a planner at all. But as the months got closer, and we started giving Tanya all the contracts and the remaining to-do lists they started coming around. At our final meeting a week before the wedding my Dad even said "I'm SO glad you hired her, we couldn't have done it without her. She thinks of everything and is amazing!" That was a big step for him and shows how much Tanya impressed him. And it's true, she did think of all the little details that I didn't think of (which is saying a lot too - because I pretty much thought of everything!).
If anything on my wedding day, or leading up to the day, went wrong - I had no idea because Tanya was there to handle and troubleshoot it all. Everything turned out so beautiful because of her help planning and also because of her coordinating the weeks before and the day of the wedding. I couldn't imagine the stress I would have had leading up to the wedding if it wasn't for her great services.

Tanya of The Event Group International was a Godsend for my 260 person April 2014 wedding. She brought all of my ideas and concepts to fruition, and truly delivered a beautiful event! It could almost be a cliche to say how good Tanya and her team are – all the superlatives have already been used in other reviews. The simple fact is that she deserves them all…and more! We cold-called Tanya and some other wedding planners when we decided to go down the wedding planner route. Tanya impressed us from the first moment and was head and shoulders above her competitors. The suppliers that Tanya recommended were all first class and it was noteworthy that those decisions we made where we didn't use Tanya’s recommendations were the less successful ones. Tanya is always positive and professional – we genuinely cannot think of a single moment in 14 months of planning when her smile dropped. She worked incredibly hard for us and was on top of her brief at every moment. We must have been testing for her at times but you wouldn't have known it. Steph and I were not at all sure about proceeding with a wedding planner (way too celeb for us!) but what a good decision we made. I feel confident that if we had chosen anyone else other than Tanya and her team, we might now be thinking ‘what if’. As two solicitors, we understand the importance of client service. Tanya has this in spades and we have taken away lessons from her professionalism to apply in our own practice. We are now recommending The Event Group International to everyone we know getting married! William and I just wanted to say thank you one more time for all of your help with our wedding – it was just perfect. We (and all of our guests) had a fabulous time.

We wanted a wedding planner because we had a short time frame, busy work schedules, and we wanted minimal stress. Thankfully, Tanya delivered. No, she had over delivered beyond expectation. Our first impression of Tanya was someone who was competent and professional. Certainly extremely knowledgeable. We soon added prompt, patient, fun and flexible to the list! She became our family.
Tanya has great contacts, and an excellent reputation with many suppliers. She provided fantastic guidance and advice throughout the whole journey. She was always organized and calm, and kept us up-to-date and reassured.
And on the day itself, the weather behaved, the schedule ran perfectly, and we had a wonderful time. Tanya was always busy in the background, and we still marvel at how easy it all seemed afterwards. We used The Event Group International for our wedding, and we just have to say that Tanya and her entire team were so helpful. They really gave us the freedom to sit back and just enjoy our Wedding Day. From the time they showed up at each of our houses, they made sure we didn't have to worry about anything and that everything was taken care of. Tanya kept everything running so smooth and everyone knew exactly where they were suppose to be, from taking pictures before the wedding, all the way until the last person got on the shuttle to go back to the hotel. They were prepared for any little mishap that could possible have taken place. My mother had given me a garter and when I went to put it on, it was uncomfortable. Sure enough, Tanya had one in her emergency kit. We could not have been happier with how organized everything was, and just how friendly Tanya and her assistants were. Both of our parents couldn't stop talking about how great they were. We would absolutely recommend using Tanya and The Event Group International on your wedding day because they know how stressful the day can be and they just make it much, much easier to deal with. They made sure everything was perfect.

Tanya, I would like to thank you and say that having you be part of our wedding was the best decision we ever made.We initially wanted to plan our wedding day entirely ourselves, however it soon became clear that there was far more to it than we originally though. Also living in Pittsburgh and getting married in Aruba made it almost impossible to plan ourselves and we had a Limited time scale of just three months.
I was at my wits end and then I found Tanya of The Event Group International and instantly felt calm. Tanya’s knowledge of weddings meant that she was able to translate our vision perfectly, her creative ideas, imagination, advice and support were invaluable. Tanya makes you feel like your wedding is the only thing that matters, and she does it all with a calming influence, you know you are in safe hands. Within days, things I had been trying to achieve in weeks without success where happening and everything that Tanya did on our behalf was faultless.
The service we received from Tanya and her team was superb, and extremely personal, her style, grace and kindness made me feel totally confident. Tanya is incredibly professional but I felt like she had been a best friend that I had been planning my big day with for years!
Our wedding day came, and the weather had big plans, on our Wedding Day a storm from hurricane hit with wind and rain and flood. Aruba was declared a natural disaster area. It was clear that the planned beach wedding and outside reception was not going to happen.
Somehow Tanya managed to ensure that we all stayed relaxed as she coordinated a whole rearrangement of our complete wedding in just two hours taking the entire thing inside of a resort. The wedding ran seamlessly, was beautiful, and was everything I had dreamed off. I am still unsure how she kept everyone happy and managed achieved something that I thought was impossible considering the weather, Our perfect day! Tanya is a magician! Tanya, we want to thank you so much for helping us have the most incredible wedding we ever could have imagined. Everyone asks me if it was difficult to plan such an event in Aruba but it was incredibly easy with you as my wedding planner. You were extremely organized and all I had to do was tell you what I wanted and it was done! I was astonished at how beautiful the ceremony was set up on the beach, easily accommodating all of my guests. The gazebo was the perfect venue for the reception because we were able to be outside in the breezy Aruba air and it was just so pretty! Kevin and I enjoyed every moment of it and I would not change a thing. Our guests can't stop talking about what a wonderful time they had and every time we look at our photos it we are so happy. Our wedding was FANTASTIC! And the reason it was so fantastic was because we, (the wedding couple) hired Tanya (the wedding planner extraordinaire) and The Event Group International. Start to finish they handled their business. If there were any issues with ANYTHING, they took care of it. Organized, professional, detail oriented, and oh so patient, calm and reassuring throughout the entire process. Caterers, DJs, lighting, table sittings, furniture, cake,…the look we wanted, the feel. The best decision I made through this entire wedding process was hiring Tanya and her team to help coordinate my wedding. My wedding went perfectly and I couldn't have done it without them. One of the first reasons I chose Tanya was because I felt her "day of coordinator" package included so much more than just being there on the wedding day, She was organized, worked well with all of my vendors, and helped me pull together all of those details the final week before the wedding. Her emergency kit was a thing of beauty! ... She was there for the full day, until all of our guests had left to help us make sure we had all of our items packed up and in the car. We had a ton of compliments from our family and other vendors on her professionalism and efficiency. I really believe that Tanya was the best investment we made in our wedding day.
If you want a worry and stress free wedding day, do your self a favor and hire Tanya,

We were a bit nervous about strangers taking care of the coordination of our wedding, in a city that was foreign to us. However, we needn't have worried as Tanya immediately put our minds at ease. Our wedding was more than we had ever dreamed it would be! We had a beautiful, stress-free ceremony and vacation in Vegas, thanks to The Event Group International. Tanya was amazing. Everyone I know was worried that I would become a crazy brideszilla during this process, but Tanya prevented this from happening. She handled every detail of our destination wedding, even some details that probably weren't a part of our package. She was so responsive to my every need, often responding to my emails seconds after I pressed send. She helped me to form my vision of the perfect wedding day and then make it happen. Go hire Tanya the minute you find out you’re getting married. This woman is a godsend for any couple planning their wedding. If I could put more stars for responsiveness and flexibility I would. My wedding day wouldn't have been so special and so perfect if it wasn't for this woman and her amazing staff.
Tanya was with us from beginning to end and answered and and all questions we had along the way. While she maintained such a professional quality, she also became our friend and made it so easy to talk to her about stuff we were unsure about or wanted an opinion on.
We live in Orlando and decided to have a Vegas wedding. Having Tanya made it so easy. I remember waking up the day of our wedding with no real worries because I knew everything was going to be taken care of. She found us every vendor we needed and stayed on constant contact with them especially the days leading up to our big day. She called all the vendors, set up meeting, scheduled tastings, confirmed orders, double confirmed orders, helped me stay on top of payments, managed a budget, and even went out of her way to find sparklers just days before our wedding because I said it would be nice to have them for our grand exit.
I can’t say enough about her. SHE IS THE PERFECT WEDDING PLANNER

Tanya is awesome, and did an amazing job in day of coordination for our wedding. She is very responsive either by phone or email. I was amazed how easy it was to get a hold of her even in the middle of the night. We don't know what we would have done without her. She took all worries and concerns away and managed moving pieces of the day as if conducting an orchestra, Tanya made sure everyone was on time and focused. I cannot say enough about Tanya Wilbon and her team!!! From day one they were so attentive and so professional. I was beyond thrilled when I first became engaged. That elation soon turned to pure panic and then I met Tanya. She worked tirelessly to make me feel at ease. She answered all of my questions no matter how silly and it didn't matter what time of day or night I asked the questions. She was always there!!! I can recall several late night calls where she stayed on the phone with me helping me sort through wedding stuff and family issues surrounding the wedding. Tanya started out as my wedding designer and became so much more than that!! I am so HAPPY we found her … she and her team were worth EVERY cent that we paid her. As I type this review … it occurs to me that we didn't pay her enough!! She is worth her weight in GOLD!! My wedding day was everything I wanted it to be and then some. I don’t know how TEGI did it … but they took my ciaos and turned it into my dream wedding!! I can’t say enough about them. If you are on the fence on who to hire … or not sure if you should hire Tanya and her team … just STOP… SIGN HER… and be grateful she is on your side. It doesn't get any better than this folks!!!

Tanya, Steve, and the TEGI team were great. We had a rather large wedding 850 guests and had a celebration that covered a 4 day period. Almost all of my guests were from out of town. I requested activities and such for my guests each night along with a host of other requests. I essentially asked The Event Group International to be act as our personal concierge for 850 guests. I remember when Tanya and Steve sat in my living room, during our first meeting, and I shared with them our requests, guest count, and just our overall vision; they didn’t even flinch!! I A dear friend of mine contracted with Tanya and her team for his wedding; so I had some idea of how awesome they were. But seeing these folks in action for myself was just unreal!!! I felt like I had my own celebrity wedding designer without having all of the celebrity ego drama to go with it!! There wasn’t a thing that I asked of this team that they did not do and they did it with a smile on their face… UNBELIEVABLE!! And believe me when I tell you … and I am a bit ashamed to admit this … but I did get a tad crazy towards the end of the planning process. But even during my craziness… Tanya and her team were always there … calm, cool, and collected. Tanya said to me on many occasions “I am here to serve and I come from a place of yes”. Tanya Wilbon and her team are incredible professional and just good honest, hard working people. I have tremendous respect for them and I would recommend them to anyone having an event of ANY kind!!

Tanya, Everything is finally calming down and during the wedding I never got a chance to thank you all!!! So I wanted to take a second to thank you two and all others that were involved with all the aspects of our wedding. You all did an amazing job, beyond any of my expectations. Your attention to detail was incredible. Thank you for all the work you did from the invitations, welcome bags, place cards and decor, to the planning, and coordination on the day of the wedding. Tanya made herself absolutely indispensable both in the planning and on the day. With her extraordinary people skills and calming personality she is extremely good at what she does…She is very capable and efficient and somewhat of a perfectionist who inspires 100% confidence. If you ask Tanya to do something you know she will do it quickly, efficiently and to the best of her ability.
Tanya is also a very creative person and pays attention to the finer details which a preoccupied bride is unlikely to think of, especially on the day. Our experience with The Event Group International was exceptionally beneficial from at least three perspectives. First, Tanya had provided us with ideas and reception locations that we would never have thought of on our own. Second, because of TEGI's relationships with the vendors, we received very good value for our money and excellent service, which more than compensated for the fee we paid to The Event Group International. Third, the day of the wedding and the days preceding it were enjoyable, memorable, and fun, instead of stressful, since we knew we could trust Tanya to take care of the organization and the details. Dear Tanya It is with utmost respect and admiration that I write to thank you for what I feel was a perfect wedding. To think that the planning was all done over email is quite amazing. I can't begin to tell you how much the whole wedding exceeded all our expectations. We had great luck, fortune and to put it simply, God had his hand in connecting us with Tanya Wilbon and The Event Group International in April of 2013. We scheduled a meet and greet at the site of the venue and absolutely fell in love with the warm spirit Tanya and Steve conveyed. We immediately knew that she would be the person along with her staff that could provide us with a once-in-a-lifetime wedding at an affordable cost. On September 7th, 2013, she along with her incredible team did exactly that for us. Her unique ability to balance both form, function, ego, jitters, sub-contractors, and vendors, not to mention a nervous bride, allowed us to experience the most beautiful day of our lives. She was sensitive to what we envisioned, while flawlessly balancing the business side of what a wedding demands. Her team was both quick and responsive with answers and solutions every time anything was asked, requested or even slightly mentioned. Her planning and attention to detail was un-paralleled. Her suggestions were spot-on, her insight was expansive and her taste was beyond reproach. Words cannot describe the talent Tanya and her team revealed to us on our wedding day. Obviously, we would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding or any important event for that matter. She truly is one of a kind and you should be prepared not only to have every wish granted and to enjoy a stress free, beautiful, wonderful, perfect wedding day, but also to make a lifelong friend in Tanya!

Tanya is very capable and efficient and immediately won our trust by showing us she really wanted to understand who we were, our likes and dislikes, and our ideas for the wedding…Tanya made the planning of the wedding stress free but that wasn’t all. What a dream it was to work with a professional like Tanya as our wedding planner. She loves what she does so much and it is truly reflected in her work. Our wedding was rather elaborate and everything turned out perfectly. We also used her wedding night services for our suite. Tanya was amazing!!!! My wedding day went so smoothly and it never would have if I didn’t have her. All her organization and assistance during the planning was priceless and led to a perfect day. I was able to pass everything to her and never had to worry about it after that. She was available any time of day, even for just a quick phone call to ask how many programs I needed to make. My parents loved her too. She offered to help me make favors and stuff my invitations. It was like having an extra bridesmaid. Tanya Wilbon and the TEGI team were worth every penny. I told all my engaged girlfriends about her and how you have to have her if you want a stress free day. I really cannot say enough. I had a few health issues a couple of months before the wedding and she drove me to my appointments since I wasn’t feeling well. She really went above and beyond what any other wedding planner/coordinator would do. She rocked it!

I honestly don’t think I could have made it without Tanya. I hired her for the “day of” service and she by far exceeded my expectations.

There were so many details to the wedding and all those small little details added up to be so many items that I just knew that I would forget something on the day of but I didn’t forget one thing and everything went so smoothly that I couldn’t believe it! I can’t give Tanya credit enough.
