Chicagoland brides, if you’re currently searching for a wedding planner or on the fence, this review is for you! From one bride to another, hear me out — The Event Chicago is the one. Period. There’s no one better equipped to plan your wedding than Lety and her team. The level of experience and expertise, not to mention the warmth and kindness that they all bring, is next level. Seriously, watching them in action — they’re like the SEAL Team 6 of weddings! The best part? They make sure that the bride and groom’s needs are taken care of above all else. For the entire year leading up to the wedding, our biggest advocate and support system was Lety. She was always quick to respond, creating a constant and reliable channel of communication. Any confusion or ambiguity during the planning process was immediately addressed or resolved. She handled every question, issue, or idea right away, and without judgement! That is what drew me to this team in the first place. From the very first conversation that I had with Lety, I could tell that she cared about our day and us as a couple. She made it known immediately that she had our backs and she was going to do everything possible to make my ‘colorful’ and ‘vibrant’ vision a reality! On the actual day, we were able to make this happen and the space was exactly as I had imagined it! Our guests were gawking at the decor and raving about the small details that we had curated. Behind the scenes, this was weeks and weeks of constant back and forth conversations. Tweaking and updating and pivoting. Throughout it all, Lety’s dedication and commitment never wavered! At the end of the night, the people were lit and the vibes were so high that no one wanted to leave the dance floor! I had to physically usher people towards the exit. I think based on that, we can say that the night was a huge success! Big THANK YOU to Lety and team for helping us plan our dream wedding!!! -

Lety started the conversation with us and was clear, friendly, and incredibly helpful from the very beginning. On the wedding day she brought such a sense of calm, handled every detail effortlessly, and executed my DIY touches so beautifully. Veronica was just as amazing, keeping the timeline perfectly on track and managing the guests around me with so much professionalism and care. Lety and her team were fantastic! We hired them for day-of coordination, but they started helping a month early, finalizing vendor details and creating our timeline.
On the wedding day, they kept everything on schedule and coordinated seamlessly with all our vendors. What impressed us most was their thoughtful personal care - they regularly checked if we needed food or drinks and brought us plates during cocktail hour and dessert so we could enjoy the celebration without missing anything.
Their professionalism and attention to detail allowed us to stay present and enjoy our special day without worrying about logistics. Thanks to Lety's team, our wedding ran smoothly from start to finish. -

The team at The Event Chicago went above and beyond for us at our 60-person wedding this weekend! From our first meeting with Lety to the wedding day with Veronica and Jackie, we were taken care of! In the planning stages, Lety left no detail unaddressed and noted everything which was a breath of fresh air for a couple with little to no idea how to plan a wedding and lots to keep track of. Ahead of the wedding, Lety diligently worked with an assortment of vendors and kept in constant communication. Lety also provided us with a timeline of the day which was a lifesaver! When it came to the wedding day, this team handled extreme weather conditions, unexpected guests, vendor delivery/pickup, photography suggestions, and everything else with ease. Our guests spoke so highly of Veronica and Jackie all evening! They were professional, experienced, thoughtful, proactive, and resourceful. This team is truly amazing, and we would recommend them to anyone! -

Look no further for a coordinator- Lety and Veronica are absolute professionals! From the first meeting all the way to wedding day, Lety was organized, prompt, friendly, and simply ON POINT. On the wedding day, everything was set up with such meticulous detail that my now-husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing throughout the entire day. I found Lety (and Veronica) through a friend who used their services for her wedding and I can definitely see why she came recommended. Lety and her team were very organized, professional, and I never felt like she was too busy for my event. This wasn’t just a day of coordination - we had timeline meetings and constant communication about our expectations. From the rehearsal to the wedding day, Lety was present and on top of everything. It felt like she was there to help me in whatever I needed. Her templates made it easy for me to gather the information that was going to be needed for the day of and the timeline was clear to all my vendors. I was scared to hire a day of coordinator because I had heard of some horrible experiences but with Lety I was confident that my day would go on without a hitch. And it did! My family and friends complimented me on her services as well.
Veronica was a Godsend as well! She helped execute my decor setup perfectly and I couldn’t have been more grateful. I cried because it’s not easy for me to give control to someone else on such an important day but she made it easy to do so with little instruction.
Great coordination team and I would gladly recommend them to anyone. Best vendor decision we made! -

We hired Lety and her team for the "Day of" but really it was a month long experience. As soon as we had out timeline meeting, Lety was hands on with every detail. We could not have asked for a better coordinator. You don't realize how many little things there are to do on your wedding day which is why you need to hire The Event Chicago, because Lety and her team DO KNOW and are more than prepared. Lety and veronica were the dream team! Lety oversaw the whole operation and Veronica practically shadowed the bride for any little thing she might need (holding an umbrella or touching up her lipstick).Veronica even sewed on my jacket button after it popped off midday! They are very responsive with their communication, very professional in their presentation and behavior, and extremely reassuring that they will make the whole day go perfectly. I am beyond thankful for this team and everything they've done and I will be recommending this group to everyone I know that may be coordinating an event. Lety and Veronica were absolutely wonderful! I hired them as day of coordinators for my wedding. They handled everything and more! They truly made me feel so special and I could trust them to make the day go perfect! There were a couple mix ups with the venue set up and Lety made sure that the staff changed everything according to our plan. Any issue that came up they handled it with ease. They are both so sweet and I would 100% recommend them! -

After we booked our venue, booking a coordinator was our first big decision and one of the most important ones for me as the bride.
I cannot say enough great things about Lety and her team. I really don't know how I would have been able to have our wedding without them.
The care and thought that goes into everything is incredible. From the start Lety had great communication. I became very overwhelmed towards the end of planning and Lety showed grace and patience as I struggled with last minute decisions and poor communication on my part. I also have to say that the professionalism, thoughtfulness, and the overall personality of Lety and Veronica really allowed me to trust them and made me feel like I had known them for years! They thought of every little detail and held that throughout the night. There was a few things that came up that I didn't even know about, which is exactly the experience I wanted.
I can go on and on, and have recommended them to everyone I know planning any event lol. We have some family weddings and a sweet 16 in the next year so I will be rebooking!

I can go on and on about how amazing Lety & her team were! From the first phone call until the very end of our wedding night! Communication was clear, concise & helpful! I always felt supported in my decisions and oftentimes when asking for advice Lety would help guide without making me feel overwhelmed! During my wedding day, Veronica was at our venue making the place look straight out of a dream, I seriously couldn’t have asked for anything better. Xiomara was with me at our hotel and during photos, she kept us on time and often made me feel like I had another friend along for the ride! It is very important for me to connect and support women/Latina owned companies, and these women were such a strong confident team I felt so supported! Hands down, the best decision we made during the wedding planning process was hiring Lety for the day of coordinator services! From the very beginning, when she sent us her brochure of info, we knew she was organized, had an eye for styling, and understood the importance of remembering that it is OUR day, not our guests’ ! She was patient, had amazing suggestions, and was overall there every moment of the day to make sure my partner and I were enjoying ourselves! There was an issue with our party bus being 1.5 hrs late and she problem solved so quickly! Veronica, one of her team members was also there for our special day and we LOVED her! Her personality, her energy, was so amazing! She was there to hold my flowers, fix my dress, and have drinks ready for us! My family was hesitant on us having a coordinator, but after it was done, they agreed that they were an amazing team!!! We truly do not think we could have done it all without them both!!! Please hire them!! You will not regret it!! -

Brought the intimate wedding of our dreams to life
My husband and I contracted The Event Chicago’s day-of coordination and event styling services for our wedding, and we were so impressed by Lety and her team. We were able to enjoy our wedding day without worrying about the logistics (i.e., dealing with vendors) or stressing over last-minute changes to our schedule. They helped our day run smoothly and brought our vision to life! From the morning-of and to the conclusion of our beautiful reception, Lety and her team went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was everything we wanted and more—it was truly about us! I will definitely return to The Event Chicago for future events as I know I can trust them to execute everything perfectly—down to the smallest details. Dreams to reality
Lety and The Event Chicago helped plan our wedding for 10/1/22 starting around March of 2021. We can’t imagine how lost we would have been without them planning the wedding. We had a vision of exactly how we wanted everything to be and Lety was able to see it clearly with us. Our family and friends are still raving about the day and the beautiful experience they had. Lety felt like a best friend who wanted to do everything she could to make our wedding a success. She listened to us and gave great advice and connections along the way. The wedding day ended bittersweet because we realized it was the end of our contract and we felt like a family friend was moving away. We will forever recommend her and the business to anyone planning any party. We are forever grateful to her! -

The Event helped us plan our destination event in Paris, France this year and it turned out perfect! From day one, Lety was hands on with every detail, big and small, making sure that all would lead to a beautiful and successful event. My husband and I were very impressed with her ability to maneuver all negotiations with our vendors despite the distance and language barriers given that our event was international. She saved us so much time and effort by handling all communication and sorting of terms/conditions with all vendors which in turn made planning our event more enjoyable because we could focus on the fun stuff! Additionally, we appreciated how much The Event looks out for their client's best interests. Lety and her team are very deliberate about keeping things fair and clear. If something doesn't add up or seem right, Lety is quick to let you know. That made us feel like we were in good hands and trust her advice throughout the entire process. Communication is also excellent! I always received a prompt response. Lety and her team are super professional and reliable. I can go on and on describing all the reasons why The Event is the best event planning company in the Chicagoland area (and beyond!) but I will end with this: If I had to go back, I would choose The Event a million times! I cannot imagine anyone else besides Lety to be able to handle such a large scale event like ours. If she can successfully plan an event from thousands of miles away with different components coming in from different countries around the world, then she and her team can do anything!! Hiring The Event was the #1 best choice we could have made. We will forever be grateful to Lety and her team for all the time, hard work, and care that was put into making sure that our event was beautiful and utter perfection!
