    Do yourself a favor and hire this guy. Seriously.

    My wedding was rather complicated. I'm from Detroit. His family is from Cape Town, South Africa. He works for a multinational company. Our guest list had 8 different countries represented. To top it all off, we're Jewish.

    Finding a DJ willing to do such a multicultural event was difficult. We needed someone with experience, who likes a challenge.

    Our photographer recommended Ed. And I am SO glad he did.

    Ed was more than willing to work with us to find the kind of music we needed. He was able to get us speakers for the outside patio, which was fantastic, because the weather was really nice and everyone was hanging out outside. He played a beautiful mix of music, which included ska and dance music from South Africa, ballads from France, UK hits, and Motown. And when people were hanging outside instead of dancing? He kept the music going. He responded to requests, answered questions, and asked when he wasn't sure about something.

    We got a lot of compliments on it. I'm so glad we went with The DJ Guy. He was absolutely worth it.

    Ed and Travis did such a great job with our wedding, we were really impressed. They were able to make playlists based off a few songs that I gave them that totally fit our musical tastes. Travis was our DJ that night, and he is such a down to earth guy. We really enjoyed working with him.

    Travis was our DJ!! I honestly could not have asked for a nicer, more qualified and professional guy for our wedding! The whole night flowed so smoothly from the ceremony music to the receiving of the bridal party and then onto great dance music! Everything was perfect! I highly recommend the services of The DJ Guy and Ed was awesome to deal with regarding all the planning of our daughter's special day!!!! Couldn't be happier!

    We were incredibly happy with the DJ Guy for both our wedding ceremony and reception. He was very prompt with all communication and blended all of our "unique" music seamlessly. He was very good at handling rambunctious family members!

    We were very impressed with The DJ Guy at our wedding. The night flowed perfectly, and Ed really helped keep the events moving at a pace we were comfortable with. We also had a photo booth through The DJ Guy - called Eco Booth - that our guests really enjoyed. I would highly recommend Ed for his professionalism and value!

    We have had Ed the DJ guy provide music for our schools end of year event for almost a decade and he is fantastic! He is prompt, professional and knowledgable about music.

    Ed was great to work with, he kept Tim's and my wedding dancing all night! He showed up on time, was extremely professional, and guest after the party were telling us that we had an excellent DJ. Thank you so much, Ed kept the energy of the party going all night!

    It was a pleasure to have Ed working for us. He dressed well and presented himself as a true professional. He was very down to earth and didn't act arrogant like we've seen at some of our friend's weddings.

    The slideshow he put together with the pictures we gave him was perfect! He even added a nice message at the end.

    My husband Dan and I were amazed at how he kept most of our guests dancing well beyond the set end time for the night. We asked him if we could extend our contract an extra hour and he did. He even went a few minutes over that extra hour as an encore was requested by our guests!

    I would highly recommend The DJ Guy (Ed) to anyone in the Brighton area. His prices are incredible and the service is far better than others we've seen.

    Ed from the DJ Guy did such a great job at our wedding! He played music for our ceremony, followed by 5 hours of music at our reception. He was extremely professional, upbeat, and polished. He did a great job responding to the crowd's taste in music while being sure to include my (the bride's!) requests. For the quality of service provided, he was very affordable. Highly recommended.

    We had Travis at our daughter's wedding in Plymouth this past weekend, and he was outstanding. There was not a pause in the entire night, the dance floor was standing room only from beginning to end. He played requests, and the photo booth with Shannon was hopping, as well. The photo booth was very clean, with plenty of props that looked all brand new. Would highly recommend their services, well worth every penny. Even the owner of our venue commented that Travis was one of the best DJs he has seen!

    DJ Ed was very quick to respond to my emails and answer my questions. I personally enjoy that they let you select 10 "must play" songs, 10 (I think it was 10) "please play" songs, and 10 "do not play" songs. The "must plays" were in addition to all of the standard wedding party dance songs. This was much appreciated for many reasons. The first is that my husband and I do not really listen to mainstream music. For our first dance, father/mother dances, etc. we selected songs that were not already in their music library. They did not charge us extra for having to add these songs to their list. For our "must plays" I selected one song that reminded me of my dad and one that reminded me of my mom. We had a great time dancing together to those. It was really nice to get my mom. Out on the dance floor as she only dances to slow songs. When her favorite song came on, she grabbed my hands and flew around the dance floor. She couldn't stop talking about it for days! We also left a line on our RSVP cards where guests could recommend a favorite song to play; this helped to keep the dance floor full all night.
    Finally, the best part was that my husband and his family are huge MSU fans and his father requested to play the MSU fight song. I am from WI, and my dad had the great plan to follow their song up with a WI song, unbeknownst to my in-laws. This led to a big MI vs WI dance off! It was amazing! The dance floor was full the whole night!
    Oh and on our anniversary, DJ Ed sent us a congratulations message!

    Ed was a great DJ! He kept the dance floor packed to the end of the night when the lights came on. I would recommend him as he was extremely professional with the reception hall (they commented the day after when we went to pick up our decorations about how great he was with set-up and packing up). Thanks for a great night!

    Ed the DJ Guy was great! He did a fantastic job of playing a variety of music so that guests of all ages could enjoy the party, at the end of the night there were still a ton of people on the dance floor. The only drawback was that he mispronounced my father's first name (it's Spanish). His price is very reasonable, and I would highly recommend him!

    Overall a solid dj and service, price was reasonable and competitive, seemed VERY busy during the planning process, everything came out wonderful

    Al was very professional in our initial meeting and on the phone during the few follow up calls that were needed. He indicated up front that although his brother is his partner, and even though someone else was thinking about booking him that night, that we paid first and that he personally would be doing our wedding. I confirmed this with him when I signed the contract and followed up with an email. It was important to me to book with someone I had actually met. So you can imagine my surprise when Al was not the person that showed up to DJ our wedding. His brother showed up. I was led to beleive all along the way that Al was going to be our DJ. Al had many opportunities to correct this. His brother was not apprised of our song list. The second song of the night was one that was on the "do not play" list. He did not really have a good grasp of our style or songs we liked. I was also told that it would be 'no problem at all' to extend the DJ for an hour or two at the end of the night. When 10:30 arrived and our initial time block was up, I approached the DJ to extend the wedding and he told me that was not possible, and that he 'had another gig' at 11:30. I find that very hard to beleive. I was also told by friends after the wedding that the DJ spent a lot of time standing around the appetizer table getting his share of the appetizers. This DJ required all payment up front in advance of the wedding. Very disappointing wedding entertainment.
