Although I did not know it at the time, hiring the Derek Mack Band was the best and most important decision I could’ve possibly made for my daughter‘s wedding reception. From the moment Derek and his band members took the stage, all the guests were saying “wow”.
By way of reference, I have hosted over 100 corporate events in my business career. The cocktail reception my daughter‘s wedding was the best I have ever attended. By the end of the cocktail hour, virtually all the guests were on the dance floor before dinner. I have never seen anything like it. It was so much fun.
The music set after dinner was even better. The depth of songs that the Derek Mack Band was able to play and the singers they had to sing them, blew everyone away. Virtually everyone that attended the reception told me that it was the best wedding ever. I already knew the reason why but I asked anyway and they said the Derek Mack Band.
On top of that, Derek visited the venue several times to make sure everything would go off perfectly and it did. His professionalism and attention to detail were not only appreciated but admired. The quality of the sound of the music for an outdoor venue was amazing which I attribute to his fantastic stage crew.
Needless to say, the Derek Mack Band exceeded every expectation that we had. I give the Derek Mack Band my highest recommendation and would be happy to discuss my experience with anyone considering hiring them.
We hold Derek, his band members and crew in the highest esteem. We are so grateful for such an unforgettable wedding night for my daughter.

The Derek Mack Band did an excellent job with the wedding ceremony music, the cocktail hour entertainment, the announcement of the wedding party, and keeping the crowd up and on the dance floor!!! They really are a top notch class act!! -

Music was a priority for our black tie wedding. We wanted our guests to dance and have fun all night long. The Derek Mack Band went above and beyond! Derek is a true professional. We had a 2 hour visit the week before our wedding to discuss music and get to know each other. I gave Derek our wish list for music but also told him to play what he thinks is best. We love 60,70,80,90,and country music!
Our lead singer was a young Tina Turner. A beautiful women, in a rock’in outfit, amazing energy, and could sing like you wouldn’t believe. We had a sax player as well that knocked our socks off. The whole 9 piece band was phenomenal.
I can’t articulate in words how phenomenal this band is. If you want an upscale, very professional band then Derek Mack is who you need.

I cannot say enough good things about the Derek Mack Band. They set the tone for our entire wedding reception. All our guests were dancing, singing along and having a great time from the moment they started until the last song. Literally every guest at my mid-size wedding said this was the best band they've ever seen at a wedding. Our family wants to book them for other future weddings! -

Derek Mack and Band were a pleasure to work with from Day One! They not only played at the reception but also played at ceremony. I, the Mother of the Bride never left the dance floor after the first dance. They made the wedding a huge success. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing they were. They played so many songs for all ages from Sinatra to today’s hits and all genres!! Truly made the Wedding!!!! -

Derek Mack Band performed for our conference at the Breakers hotel in August 2019 and "killed it". Our guests were on their feet from beginning to end of the performance. The vocals were amazing and the purple rain rendition is one for the ages. Awesome working with Derek Mack Band. Looking forward to using them again for Christmas. -

The Derek Mack Band is superb! Working with the band leader to plan our day was effortless. They listened to and honored our requests, performed flawlessly, and turned our wedding reception into a mini-concert! They sang, danced and engaged the crowd. Our reception was all that we imagined and more. The Band was so wonderful that our out of town guests wondered if they would fly to their cities to perform. I recommend The Derek Mack Band without reservation. -

I'm a wedding planner and recently had the pleasure of working with Derek and his crew. I've worked with many bands over the past 10 years of wedding planning, and this was one of the best experiences I've had. In my experience, wedding bands can be irritable during setup, a bit standoffish, and require multiple breaks during a 4 hour wedding reception. Derek and his team were so kind the entire time, willing to help and manage last minute timeline changes, and only required one break to eat while guests ate - and then they were right back on stage entertaining and keeping the dance floor full. They are incredible instrumentalists, vocalists, and audio professionals. Multiple guests came up to me expressing how impressed they were, I couldn't stop saying "is this a concert or a wedding!?". They kept the focus on the bride, groom and family while still offering incredible performances.
Would absolutely recommend to my clients in the future! -

Derek Mack Band is amazing! They were able to do everything we asked and put on a great show. Our guests never sat down once the music started. I would highly recommend them.
