Classy Hair and Makeup

We enjoyed working with Lena and Christine. They were wonderful in taking care of the bride, MOB and all of the girls. They truly listened to what esthetic each person was looking for and really honored each person's request. There was no pushing anyone towards a style that she did not feel comfortable with. Extremely flexible working with the MOB who has allergies to a lot of products, and very accommodating in using the products she brought along. Lena and Christine were in the bridal suite with the party for most of the day, and they were so easy to have around-professional, respectful yet so friendly and supportive. They definitely with their kind words, and easy presence helped to allay any jitters. They did a round of touchups, as needed, before departing to make sure everyone was looking their best! I would highly recommend them!

The loveliest start to the wedding day with Christine!

Partnering with Christine was such an important and wonderful part of my wedding experience! From the trial to the wedding day, she made me and the rest of the wedding party feel so beautiful with her talent and also so calm with her lovely spirit and demeanor! The other team members she brought in (Jenn and Kathy!) were so positive and talented as well and contributed to such a wonderful and relaxing morning. I’ve been in multiple weddings where the getting ready experience can be a bit stressful and there was absolutely none of that with Christine and her team! They helped create the timeline and stuck to it and just helped set such a wonderful tone for the wedding day, while executing our looks so flawlessly! Thank you so much Christine!

Christine did a fabulous job!

I hired Christine for my wedding weekend and she did a wonderful job! She is super sweet, easy to talk to and listens to you and what you want. I am not one who typically goes full glam, so I was a little nervous I wouldn't look or feel like myself, but Christine made sure I felt comfortable and confident with her work. I had her do my bridesmaids hair/makeup for the wedding as well (she brought in an assistant stylist) and loved how everyone's turned out. They kept us all on schedule and actually wrapped up early.

Thank you Christine for helping me feel my best on such a special day!

Wedding Hair

Christine was incredible from the very start of my search for a wedding hairstylist. She was super responsive and chatted with me on the phone to answer all of my questions and go through what my day might look like from start to finish. She took feedback from our trial beautifully, and I absolutely couldn't be happier with the end product. She was such a calming presence throughout the day of the wedding. I couldn't recommend Christine more!

Hair lasted the ENTIRE NIGHT!!

Christine is the best! She did my hair for my wedding party and myself. She is kind, sweet and so flexible - trying any style that you want! My hair lasted the entire night and looked absolutely beautiful! She is awesome!!

Highly Recommend

Christine did a wonderful job and was so helpful and kind - highly recommend working with her! My wedding makeup came out just the way I wanted it to — a bit dolled up, but still looking like myself.

I admittedly didn't need anything done to my hair, but I'm sure it would have come out looking amazing if I had enough to work with! :-)

Naturally Radiant

Christine at The Crown Boutique did a phenomenal job with my bridal and bridal party’s makeup. I especially loved how her makeup up application was exceptionally natural and enhanced our natural beauty. I felt radiate, polished, and confidant. And so did my bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law. I worked really hard to hydrate and moisturize my skin the months leading up to the wedding and feel like it paid off, because my makeup looked flawless and lasted all night. I had a few blemishes that Christine seamlessly “erased”. Christine’s calm comforting nature put us all at ease. I highly recommend working with Christine.

Beautiful hair that stayed in place all night

My experience with Christine was truly the best! I was hesitant to book my hair and make-up because I was coming to Maine from CT, but my hair stylist in CT recommended Christine--and she was not wrong! Christine was prompt and professional during the planning process and took the time to make me feel comfortable before signing the contract. We had a great trial about 1 month before my wedding and I knew I was in good hands because my hair came out great and stayed in all day! When it came time for my wedding day Christine made everything to go smoothly. She completed the hair for my mother and future mother-in-law, as well as myself and three bridesmaids. Everyone loved their hair. I felt beautiful and confident throughout the day. My hair again stayed in all night (even after a night on the dance floor). I cannot recommend Christine enough.

Wedding make up

Christine did the make up for my wedding for myself, the bridesmaids, and my mother. Everyone absolutely loved their make up! We all looked fanxy, but still like ourselves. She listened to what we wanted, was on time and professional, and had a great sense of humor. We got tons of compliments on our make up at the wedding and my sister even loved it more than her own bridal make up done by someone else. I highly recommend Christine!

Beautiful and stayed in place all night!

Christine did mine, my bridesmaids, and my mothers' (MOB & MOG) make up for my wedding. She is so nice and listens to what look you're going for. I really liked my make up trial, but then later started having second thoughts about a couple of things (I tend to think, and then overthink...). I relayed my tweaks to her and she perfectly executed the changes for the big day!! I looked and felt fabulous all night - and my bridesmaids and family felt the same, too! Thank you, Christine!

Christine of the Crown Boutique did make up for my wedding and I could not have been more thrilled with the results. Christine was recommended to me by another makeup artist. After speaking with Christine on the phone, it was clear she has a passion for her craft and understood my vision for my wedding look. After my makeup trial, I was in love with my look! When she recreated the look on the day of the wedding it looked EVEN BETTER! Christine also did make up for my mother and my five bridesmaids. My mother is picky about her makeup, but loved the look Christine achieved. In addition to being a talented makeup artist, Christine has a very warm, calm presence and was a fun addition to the “getting ready suite” the morning of the wedding. I would recommend Christine for makeup application for any special event.

We got married on July 8th, and Christine did an absolutely amazing job on everyone's make up! She did mine, as well as all of our bridesmaids, moms, and our officiant, and everyone looked so beautiful! And of course everyone loved their eyelashes! Christine is also a blast to hang out with, she is so sweet and thoughtful, and I would highly recommend her services to all brides!! Thank you so much Christine!!

Christine is amazing. When I walked into her boutique for the first time, she was so friendly and truly listened to what I wanted for my wedding day. The day of the wedding, she traveled to my hotel room (at 6 am...she's wonderful!!!) and worked on my entire bridal party. She even accommodating some last minute additions. Christine's friendly nature made everyone feel welcome and I couldn't imagine my day without her!

Christine saved me! I had previously booked a stylist in the area and my trial was an absolute disaster...luckily Christine was available and she saved my hair for the big day! I showed her two photos of what I was hoping for and she was able to give me the EXACT style I showed her. My bridesmaids hair all looked beautiful too and everyone was impressed that she was able to replicate their inspiration looks so well. She is amazing and a ray of sunshine to work with, made my wedding day even more amazing than I thought it could be.

Christine Flanagan did my daughter's hair and makeup for her senior portrait. My daughter is shy, and Christine talked with her at length about how she likes her makeup and hair, offered advice and showed her some pictures for ideas. She went slowly with her, checking in each step of the way to make sure she liked how she looked. In the end, she left looking beautiful with a skip in her step, Christine applied the perfect amount of makeup for a girl her age, and her hair styling was on trend. The photographs came out stunning, she looked like herself but extra special. Christine gave her a bit more confidence going into the photography session, a glow that came not only from the makeup. I could not recommend Christine more for her personalized attention and skill at hair and makeup!

Absolutely fantastic! I can’t say enough good things about Christine and her staff. From the moment I contacted her I felt like I was in good hands. She was so attentive at the trial and really listened to what my ideal make-up was for me and my bridesmaids. She was on-time and got herself and her assistant for the day set up with no direction needed. She’s an eternal optimist and her warm, loving, and positive spirit were such a comfort on what is a naturally hectic morning. Me, my bridesmaids, and my mother looked absolutely stunning. We all looked like the most beautiful versions of ourselves which was so important to me. The make-up was light and didn’t feel cakey but lasted the entire day and well into the night – no reapplication needed! I will definitely use them again for event make-up in the future. Loved them!!

Christine was beyond amazing! I had a disaster hair/makeup trial elsewhere and my amazing photographer (Tara Photography) recommended Christine to do my hair. Thank god she was available! We found a time I could come up to do the trial, and it came out beautifully. Christine is really good, no doubt about that, but what makes her so amazing is that she really really cares. We talked about my wedding, what I was thinking, and I showed her a few pictures and she took the time to understand what kind of look I was going for. She wanted to make sure everything was absolutely perfect, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results.

Christine is AMAZING!! She provided stunning makeup for myself and nine other ladies the morning of my wedding. She is a true master of her craft. I felt like a princess with my beautiful makeup that did not move AT ALL during a long day of smiling, sweating, and crying! She is one of the sweetest humans on earth and a true professional. Christine (and Jenn) from The Crown Boutique did the hair and make-up for our daughter's wedding this past June, 2016. They were absolutely fantastic to work with; I recommend them without reservation. They did a great job with the bride, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 moms - they made us look naturally lovely. :) Perhaps just as important, they were so easy to be around. They were relaxed, upbeat, positive, calm, and very, very flexible. They were also very professional - on time, responsive, and organized. I would absolutely use them again - 5 stars!!

Christine did the makeup for myself, my 8 bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law for my wedding on June 25,2016. She was amazing! The makeup looked flawless and I have truly never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. Christine was so friendly, sweet, flexible, and timely. She made everyone comfortable and gave everyone exactly what they were looking for. We somehow were ready ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend her to any bride- she was wonderful!!!

Danylle and Christine provided hair services for myself and 10 other ladies on June 4, 2016 at the Wentworth by the Sea. All of our hair was AMAZING and we all felt so beautiful. I saw Danylle about a month before my wedding for my consultation and LOVED my hair and she was able to put all of my worries at ease. The morning of my wedding my hair somehow looked EVEN BETTER!! I felt like the most beautiful bride in the world thanks to Danylle and I am so incredibly happy she was there on my wedding day. Christine did my hair and makeup for my February 2016 Southern Maine wedding. I had so much fun working with her and she did an amazing job both on my hair and makeup and all 11 of the ladies in our bridal party who also ALL had their hair and makeup done. Before meeting in-person, Christine was super responsive in all communications and she worked with me on different pricing options, which I really appreciated. From the minute we met at the hair trial, Christine was professional and listened to what I wanted, but best of all she was super fun and nice and down-to-earth. I genuinely enjoyed working with Christine and getting to know her as a person. Even when I wanted to change around a few things after the hair trial for the big day, she 100% listened to what I wanted and EXCEEDED expectations. I received so many compliments on my hair during the wedding. Best of all, Christine went the extra mile, came to our reception and touched up my hair and make up (since I had it done early in the day for first look and then traipsed around in the snow and cold). I would HIGHLY recommend Christine for any brides who are getting married in Southern Maine / NH (and beyond)!!

I hired Christine for my wedding day to style my hair as well as my bridesmaids hair. I put down the deposit before having a trial with her because I so much trusted the person that recommended her to me. After the trail I ended up hiring someone else as my wedding hair stylist. But because I had already put down my deposit I decided to keep her to do my bridesmaids' hair. I though because all my bridesmaids had short/very short hair it was not as risky to keep Christine to style their hair. I am so sorry to say, but I need to be honest here. Christine is nice, but my experience with her as a hair stylist was way so far from what I expected. She is way so far from understanding how to style bridal hairs. Besides that she is extremely slow in responding messages, phone calls or emails if she ever does respond. She does not act professional and the quality of the services that she offers is extremely far from what market has/had to offer today or even 10 years ago. As a hair stylist not that she only doesn't have any of the updated tools, but not eve the old fashion tools in her bag. I was shocked while leaving her place after the trail as I could not believe what I saw and experienced there.
