We had the most incredible December wedding getting married on the cliff at The Cliffs Hotel & Spa. Their team treated us and our guests so wonderfully all weekend, our guests still RAVE about every staff member and the property, and Anna Fergus is the most amazing wedding coordinator! We couldn’t have made our dream come true without her, we had the most dreamy time with no stress!

We worked with the team at The Cliffs from Texas for 12 months to plan our wedding and we are so happy that we did. Anna and Leah were so responsive, accommodating, and kind throughout the entire process. We were so pleased with how they went absolutely above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. Throughout the process, Anna checked in with me periodically to see what I needed and was so quick to make things happen that I requested!

Our wedding day was absolutely the most incredible day. When asked what we would have done differently we say there's nothing because of how organized, professional, and thoughtful all of the staff at the venue were. We went to visit the venue the day before to drop off some things, and got to see the ballroom that was already perfectly set up with everything! This put our minds at ease and made for a stress-free wedding day.

Leah acted as my day of coordinator (mind you I had no coordinator at all!) and kept me and the vendors on track with the timeline. The staff were absolutely lovely during our reception and kept the guest's glasses full the whole night. Our guests raved about how amazing the food was and how it came out both perfectly cooked and hot!

I cannot recommend The Cliffs enough! Worth every penny!

We had our wedding at the Cliffs recently, and it was an amazing experience! The location is beautiful, particularly the ceremony spot. The event coordinator, Anna, was very communicative, professional, and helpful both before the wedding and the day of the wedding. The other staff at the Cliffs were also very professional and courteous. The day went very smoothly, and we had a fantastic weekend celebrating with our family and friends!

The Cliffs is an absolutely STUNNING wedding venue. The backdrop for the ceremony and cocktail hour was incredibly beautiful, and we were even able to sneak away from our reception to take sunset photos as well! Anna Fergus, the wedding coordinator was immensely helpful in helping us plan for the wedding as we really did not know anything about what we were supposed to do, she made excellent suggestions and made sure we didn’t forget any details. Unfortunately on the day of, Anna was unable to make it to the wedding, however her team did a fantastic job and the entire day and night went off without a hitch. The catering staff was excellent, and made sure we were actually able to eat during our reception! The bar staff was impressively efficient, as we only had 2 bar tenders to serve over 110 guests. The hotel staff also went above and beyond and made the whole weekend extra special.

The Cliffs is such a gorgeous venue and our wedding felt like a dream come true! Anna Fergus, the event coordinator, is truly the best! She is so sweet and makes everything perfect. She helps you organize and schedule the reception from start to finish leaving no detail unturned. We did not hire a wedding planner and I didn't feel like we needed one since Anna did such a fantastic job with the reception. In addition to the beautiful reception venue, the Cliffs includes 2 nights in an ocean front suite (or did in our package - not sure if that varies), so we got to relax after all the festivities. My husband and I have already decided that we want to go back every year on our anniversary. Highly recommend this venue and working with Anna F!!!

After looking around pretty extensively, we chose the Cliff’s for our October wedding and now that it is all finally said and done I can say that was one of the best things we did. Anna Fergus, their in-house wedding manager, is simply amazing. I cannot imagine a more kind, upbeat, professional, competent and understanding person who helped us every step of the way and knew just how to pull of the perfect event. We initially steered away from the Cliffs as we thought it would be out of budget, but after adding up the costs of other venues I reached out to Anna to put together a budget, and it wound up being great value. The venue is stunning; getting married on the water is pretty hard to beat. I cannot recommend Anna and her team at the Cliffs enough, she is wonderful!

Our wedding was the best day of our life. Everyone says this and I never truly understood this until I said "I do". It truly was perfect. It's a special day, yet what made it perfect was having it at the Cliff's Resort. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and location and they are so accommodating. I may have easily been a bridezilla if it wasn't for the wedding coordinator Anna Ferguson. She made sure all details were covered and that everything ran smoothly. She is so friendly, happy, and professional and I fully trusted her with everything. On my wedding day I did not stress about a thing. I simply relaxed and enjoyed being pampered. The best place to say "I do". Anna Ferguson the wedding coordinator is AMAZING! From day 1 she prepared to make our day and our stay unforgettable. All the staff was perfect. I cant wait to go back and spend more time at our favorite place. Our wedding had no hiccups. EVERYTHING went smooth and we had to worry about NOTHING! After attending college at Cal Poly and visiting the Cliffs often during that time, it was a no brainer for me and my husband to have that be the venue for our wedding. The venue space provided us with everything we wanted: a beach wedding where you overlook the ocean vs. being in the sand, outdoor cocktail hour, and indoor reception hall (so we can keep the party going past 10 PM!).

Not only was the venue amazing and exactly what we imagined for our wedding, but Anna was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish during the wedding planning process. She made the entire planning process easy and streamlined and was always very responsive and detail oriented which we appreciated! She has a true talent in wedding coordination and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone and everyone knowing that they'd be in good hands with Anna :)

The Cliffs is a beautiful venue for a wedding. The food, view, and service were all amazing. Anna, the wedding coordinator, is a magician. She quickly got a sense of our style, and she helped guide us to the best options for our tastes and style. She was on top of things even when we weren't. In addition, the rest of the hotel staff is great. Our suite was perfect. You can't go wrong with the Cliffs.

My husband and I got married at the Cliffs resort on June 6, 2015. Our wedding was quite large, 240 people to be exact. I cannot stress enough how much of a joy Anna Fergus, the event coordinator, was to work with. She was extremely patient, sweet, accommodating, so friendly and she made both my husband and me as well as our parents feel like we were the most important people in the world. Every worry we had, every request we made, every weird suggestion we thought about was met with a smile and an immediate attempt to fulfill our wishes. The setting was picturesque, the ballroom was large enough to hold everyone, the staff was extremely friendly and quick to serve. Both my husband and I are Filipino and Anna was so encouraging when we asked if the chef knew how to prepare Filipino food! The chef ended up making lumpia for a late night snack for all our guests (served at 10:30 because our reception went until midnight!). It was a HUGE success and all our friends and family members were impressed that our venue served lumpia and that it was so delicious!! We got our dream wedding at the Cliffs resort. We could not be happier!!

The Cliffs Resort exceeded our expectations in every possible way and made our daughter Gillian's wedding a dream come true. The venue is so beautiful and the amazing Anna Fergus, the Director of Wedding Services, was a joy to work with. She anticipated our every need! The Marisol Restaurant staff did a great job with the rehearsal dinner, and the reception drinks and appetizers were delicious. All of the food prepared for our custom buffet was terrific. We would absolutely recommend the Cliffs as a premier wedding venue on the Central Coast!!

I can't express how perfect our wedding was and how perfect Anna is! She and her team are flawless and made planning our wedding so easy. Going in we knew we needed to pay someone to help plan the wedding because we are graduate students, work, and would have very little time to plan things. Anna was more than willing to work around our schooling and the fact that we live 4 hours away. She was extremely responsive to emails, made outstanding suggestions, and answered all of my two million questions. The Cliffs took care of everything! (From setting up the centerpieces to making sure all vendors knew where to go etc.) We ended up paying extra to have the tent upgrade and it was worth every penny! It completely changed the feel of our wedding and made it much more elegant.

We had our June 2014 wedding at The Cliffs Resort in Pismo Beach and we have nothing but amazing things to say about this venue. It all lies with Anna, the Cliffs' Wedding Coordinator, who is by far the most INCREDIBLE wedding coordinator ever! Anna helped us plan our dream wedding and was able to organize and manage all of our requests leading up to our big day. No request was too big or too small, and even then she went above and beyond to surprise us with little touches on the day of the wedding. She made the entire process go so smoothly, didn't miss a beat on any of the little details, and we 100% trusted her throughout wedding planning and especially the day of. She was the most calming and friendly presence and kept us sane during the most crazy moments - pre-wedding day and day of. Our guests are still raving about The Cliffs, how delicious the food and drinks were, and the gorgeous views we had on our wedding day, especially with the sunset as our backdrop. We would 100% do it all over again at The Cliffs Resort!

Picking the Cliffs for our destination wedding and reception was the BEST decision my husband and I made. We were treated first class all the way through with every single detail thought of. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and we owe a lot to Anna Fergus. Anna is a gem among wedding coordinators. She was always so gentle, kind, and thoughtful throughout an entire year of planning and we were out of state for half of the time. On the wedding day she coached us and took care of us through each step. My husband and I both were able to enjoy the wedding day and reception to the fullest because Anna was there taking care of everything! The buffet food that we had at the reception from the Cliffs was incredible! We had way too much food and it was loved by all. The breathtaking views that the Cliffs had to offer for the ceremony and tent reception were wonderful for all of the guests to experience in January especially the out of town guests. If I had known how wonderful the whole experience was going to be, I would have not looked at any other venues.

Beautiful amazing location for my outdoor wedding. Our ceremony was on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Our reception was held inside the gorgeous tent with draped fabric ceilings. Anna the wedding director was there every step of the way and so easy to work with, answering any questions and going above and beyond! Our wedding was perfect and went by so smoothly.

The Cliffs was the perfect place for our beautiful beach wedding. The staff is wonderful, especially the wedding coordinator, Anna. She will go above and beyond your expectations to make sure that your day is perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better venue.

What a gorgeous place to have our wedding. We worked with Anna and she was a dream to work with. She is so sweet and flexible and easy to communicate with. We opted to have our ceremony on the lawn overlooking the ocean and then our reception in a tent. Everything that the Cliffs was responsible with went over perfectly with no problems. The food was so delicious and our guests still talk about how good it is. If you are looking to have a wedding in this type if location this is the place to do it!

The Cliffs Resort really went a long way in making our wedding weekend feel perfect. This was the site of our reception, the hotel we stayed in before and after the wedding, and the hotel we recommended for our guests. Their wedding coordinator, Anna, is THE BEST. From the beginning, Anna worked with us to really help us create the reception we wanted. She and her team set up all of the decorations for the reception, from the centerpieces, to the bathroom kits to the memorial photos and everything came out exactly how I envisioned it or better! The food was AMAZING and the views of the ocean were stunning! The hotel staff was extremely kind, friendly and accommodating and we received many compliments from our guests about the choice of hotel and the little kids in our wedding kept telling everyone they wanted to have their wedding at The Cliffs! We are definitely coming back to stay in the future!

I don't know what else to say but that The Cliffs Resort staff helped deliver the most beautiful wedding for me. Anna is just amazing-there aren't enough words to explain how extraordinary she is, and in what she does. She works effortlessly, and is very very sweet-an angel. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator. The staff at the Cliffs were also great to all of our guests who attended the wedding. I grew up in Pismo Beach, and The Cliffs Resort was the only place that I wanted to get married at if I were to get married in Pismo. I'm so happy that I did!

The Cliffs was the perfect location for a wedding, even at the beginning of Winter we had beautiful weather and the setting is beautiful, especially just as the sun was going down.

Anna Fergus is extremely professional and attentive right from the word go. I had to arrange my whole wedding from overseas, and I found it easy to get everything arranged by email with Anna; she always got back to me promptly and answered any questions fully.

On arrival at the resort, all the staff were attentive and Anna was always available to help. I had a fantastic week there leading up to the wedding, and the day itself was wonderful with once again Anna on hand to help throughout the day into the evening.

The wedding meal was lovely and served well, quite a few of our guests said it was the best wedding they had attended!

When I first started looking for a venue I started looking in the bay area for the perfect spot. I figured that since the bay area is so large I wouldn’t have a problem finding what I was looking for. It turns out after searching high and low, visiting countless places that I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for. Feeling discouraged I almost gave up, until I came across some reviews for the Cliff resort. The pictures were amazing almost too good to be true. I decided to make the trip down to see for myself. It was better than what I imagined. The weather was better then Monterey County, the location was perfect in that I could have my beach wedding without getting my toes in the sand, and the hotel was gorgeous and modern. Further more the food was delicious. I got nothing but rave reviews about how good the food was (which is hard to find when cooking for so many people). Most importantly I cannot say what impressed me the most about the Cliffs resort is their awesome staff and wedding coordinator Anna. Anna was unbelievable and made our wedding day amazing. Even before our wedding day she was super helpful and always willing to answer any question I had (and believe me I had a lot of questions). She would even take the time to answer me emails at midnight. In my mind she completely went above and beyond and I am extremely blessed to have worked with her. Thank you sooo much for making our wedding day amazing! It was completely a dream come true!

The Cliffs is the best there is! Anna and her team are extraordinary!! Whatever your vision, they will make it happen! They are personable, not pushy, and there for you in every way! They do without having to be told and they KNOW what they are doing! I can't say enough great things! Go with the Cliffs! You will not be diappointed! I had high expectations for my wedding day and it was FAR SURPASSED!

I was attracted to this venue because of the location and simplicity in having a fabulous outdoor tented reception overlooking the Pacific. I cannot being to explain how much more than just a beautiful location this site was! Anna Fergus is the Director of Wedding Services at the Cliffs and she is beyond a blessing for any Bride out there. She is truly the most professional, kind, caring and detail-oriented event planner that I have had the pleasure of working with. I put together my own events for my wine business, and I have seen very good work, but I was truly blessed to have found her for my wedding. My wife and I got married end of July of this year at The Cliffs and we're extremely pleased that we did. Anna did such an amazing job throughout the entire planning process. My wife and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and communication with Anna was a breeze. Extremely responsive, helpful, and a great joy to work with. Definitely made the big day stress free.

The staff at the hotel was plenty helpful and again helped reduce the associated stress.

My only complaint isn't from the staff, but actually from some of the other guests that happened to be staying. We reserved a portion of the Marisol restaurant for our rehearsal dinner and even though it was blocked off with signage, other hotel guests continued to take some of our buffet food that was placed out. I guess some people don't have much common sense.

The outdoor ceremony offered such a breathtaking view for our special day and the ballroom for our reception was nearly secluded away from other hotel guests. Our guests had an amazing time at our wedding and I attribute their excitement to the Cliffs.

Overall, highly recommend The Cliffs!!

Anna, the wedding coordinator at The Cliffs, is amazing! She is very accommodating and makes everything so easy! As with most resorts, we were limited to their in-house catering, but it is delicious. Overall, a magical experience that we wish we could relive!

Like the other reviewers here, I completely recommend The Cliffs for a wedding. The hotel is perfect for hanging out with out of town visitors all weekend. It's a beautiful venue, the food is awesome and the location is ideal. But the highlight is the wedding/event coordinator for the hotel - Anna Fergus. She is simply the best from start to finish.

Fantastic venue with professional staff. The wedding coordinator was beyond awesome and made the process (and wedding day) easy and carefree. The venue itself sits on a cliff so the view is amazing! My guests thoroughly enjoyed everything the Cliffs had to offer and I would make the same decision regarding venue if I could turn back time.

We held our destination wedding at The Cliffs in June of 2014. We had a group of about 30 travel and stay at the hotel. The hotel was wonderful and we can't wait to stay there again. Anna was so friendly, kept us on track for planning and had great suggestions for other vendors in the area. She made planning a wedding from a few states away easy! The ceremony site was beautiful and the set up was perfect. We enjoyed the food and had a wonderful time, with wonderful service at the reception.

I held a 160 person wedding at Cliffs and the food was amazing. Cliffs will customize a menu from everything to sushi appetizers and a late night taqueria bar. ALL the guests raved about each course. The wedding coordinator was extremely organized and made it a stress-free event for me (the bride) and all of my bridesmaids. Blue ocean views and plenty of greenery. Dolphin Bay next door was also an upscale option but would not accomodate a party past 10:30 and rooms were almost twice the price for a further walk to the beach. Cliffs can do almost anything you want. It's pricey, but it was worth it.

The Cliffs… what can I say? I had been watching brides get married at The Cliffs since I was a little girl so as I was looking for a vendor, they stuck in my mind. Once I finally decided to go with them, it was a huge load off. To start, the location is gorgeous. GORGEOUS! I had my reception there (in the tent) but have seen many ceremonies there and I would say there is nowhere else in Central Cal that can offer you a view that The Cliffs can. The service and food is really great; my guests still talk about it. (The food at the tasting wasn’t as good as it was on the night of the reception (luckily!), just FYI.) The hotel is great, needs some work, but it’s great and has good energy. The packages they offer are well put together, but the place is very expensive and offered little in the way of flexibility. That said, if they are in your budget and available, you definitely want to book with them. Last, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Anna. Anna was the coordinator we worked with and she is not just a wedding coordinator, but a Super Hero version of one. She is the best of the best (of the best). If you want a coordinator that shows up out of nowhere when you even THINK you need something, she’s your girl.

We wanted a beautiful beach wedding and we got one. The Cliffs was a great place to have the reception. The waitstaff was great. Everything was set up beautifully, and everything was perfectly timed. They coordinated well with our other vendors and asked me questions they thought I should weigh in on, but were never intrusive. If you can get this place, it will make your day so special!
