MVP of My Wedding Day

I recently worked with the Christy when they catered my wedding in March 2024. My wedding was outdoors so we used there Off-Premise catering service. The week before my wedding, there were issues and concerns with the venue that threw a wrench in my plans for the layout of everything I had planned for months but The Christy was the MVP of the week and wedding day. They worked with me to keep my layout, plans, and wants the same and it was clear their main focus was for me and my husband to have the perfect day of everything we'd envisioned. Even at the reception, they stayed in contact with me or my mom to make sure we had everything we needed, wanted, and if everything was going okay. They even packed a couple to-go boxes of food and dessert for my husband and I to take with us when we left. Working with The Christy made my wedding reception flow and take so much worry off my plate! I can't thank them enough! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Simply Amazing

Kim Heinzerling is a diamond in disguise. She was my contact as I planned My sister's wedding. I can say your hospitality, professionalism, service, personality, and class were always on display no matter my request!! I am a repeat customer I am an event planner and I use your venue often. You always make me feel like I am at home You were such a huge part in making My Sister's wedding a gigantic success. Everything was perfect and we could not have chosen a better place or more wonderful people! Thank you for being flexible with my over-the-topness. I appreciate you. Weddings with Catering by The Christy

Catering by The Christy deserves five stars on all fronts. Karen and Kim were both wonderful to work with while planning our food and drink, as well as paperwork and invoicing. The kitchen staff and bartenders were incredible throughout our whole wedding day, with food hot and ready on time and drinks refilled for the head table regularly! Would absolutely recommend going with The Christy for any event in any budget. Thank you so much!

Wedding reception

We had them cater our special one year anniversary celebration at the World's Fair Pavilion. They were very helpful throughout the time with planning for the event and flexible with my husbands and I's busy schedule. The day of the event went very smoothly with the set up of table and chairs, to good waitresses serving and making sure our guest were good. We had a lot of compliments on how good tasting and good quality the food was. We were very pleased!

The Christy ---- WOW! They were great!

My wife and I used The Christy for a wedding rehearsal dinner held at the STL Carousel. The dinner was for a large wedding party and family: 72 people aged from 2-65. Wow, we couldn't have been happier and more complimentary of The Christy's food quality and server performance! The food was great and the service throughout the evening could not have been better. The evening alternated between 2 areas and the servers were very attentive to our guest's needs. They also were very proactive and accommodating. 5 Stars indeed!

Just breathtaking

The Christy was everything we could’ve have imagined for our special day and more! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The room is absolutely stunning! We received endless compliments on the food. Booking with them was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding process. Thank you for such an amazing experience and helping making our day so perfect!

Wedding Reception buffet

My son and daughter in law wanted a hamburger / hot dog bar with several sides for their reception meal. Not all caterers provide that type of food. But, The Christy does, and boy was it a big hit! Everyone loved it! And the Mac N Cheese was super yummy too! Would definitely use them again!

Excellent St. Louis catering service!

We had Catering by the Christy cater our wedding at the World's Fair Pavilion in Forest Park and couldn't have been happier with their work. The Pavilion is a blank space so choosing a good caterer was essential! After reading good reviews, we did a taste test with The Christy and decided to go with them. Karen worked with us months before to determine the menu, layout, and all the staffing details. She was very responsive if we had any questions and offered great advice. Catering by the Christy was a great price point and brought in everything for our big day - the tables, chairs, bar, linens, stage, and more. Our guests were very complimentary of the food and service. I would 10/10 recommend Catering by the Christy for your event! They are easy to work with and do a wonderful job. Thank you!

So thankful for The Christy!

We used The Christy for our wedding catering at the NEO on Locust, and they were absolutely wonderful!
Karen helped us with our booking - she was knowledgeable, quick to respond for any questions, and extremely nice.
And then Kim ran the show for our big day! She was awesome in guiding us on those finalizing details for the day (from the menu, down to our decor), and she and her team did such a great job with bringing our reception ideas to life. Everyone was courteous and well-organized for the day, and the food was delicious! I even had some guests tell me they were still dreaming about how good the food was days later. ;)
It was very reasonably priced for everything that we got, and I’m so thankful we decided to have them.
Thank you so much again for everything!! We loved working with you!!

Excellent experience

I had the best experience with The Christy! The whole process from start to finish was EASY! Even during a worldwide pandemic, the staff at the Christy has been so pleasant to work with. They had great food, great party environment and excellent bartenders the night of our reception! Would highly recommend The Christy over and over again!

Micro wedding hit...

Oh my goodness, we simply cannot thank these guys enough for the delicious meal and the flexibility of the crew. They set up in the kitchen area, were so helpful and extraordinarily professional. The food was terrific. Our pregnant guest with a severe food allergy ate the most she has in weeks. Her delight delighted all of us too.
Thank you tremendously for taking her safety so seriously. The micro wedding was lovely, topped off by a wonderful meal provided by a skilled crew. The crew chief, whose name I forget, was tremendous as were her assistants. We truly felt “ catered” to.
Thanks so much for making all those little details no big deal and lowering the stress level tremendously.

Perfect wedding

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and the Christy was a huge part of that. The food was delicious! Our guests are still talking about it!

They also helped turn on all of our candles and put out our donuts and many other things. It’s difficult to find a very nice AND affordable wedding venue but we did. The Christy is both of those things! Thank you so much!

Karen Wilson and Kimberly did an awesome job at my daughters recent wedding!!! From the planning to the execution it was a total pleasure working with them. The Perfect Event

We hired The Christy to cater our granddaughter’s wedding November 1, 2019. We could not be more pleased. Many guests told us it was the best food they ever had at a wedding reception. We had several appetizers also. We invited over half dozen vegan guests. The Christy provided special meals for them They set up the tables. The crew was excellent. Dressed nice and very polite. The wedding couple selected beef, chicken, green beans and two pastas. The Ron and Shirley's Salad! I could have eaten a platter of this. The wedding and reception, held at The Neo on Locust was 100% PERFECT. We had cup cakes, but we asked Christy to provide a white wedding sheet cake for those that crave that. It also was excellent. We have two more granddaughters and will use The Christy again! Thank you so much. Ten stars! PS Christy invited us to taste the food at their banquet center, which we did.

Amazing Reception!

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience at the Christy in O’Fallon! Ron P. and his entire team were nothing short of perfection, and we knew right away that we had made the right choice for our reception venue. Our guests really enjoyed the food, service, and staff at our reception! We were always able to get ahold of Ron or another staff member right away when we needed to communicate, and we are so grateful for all that they have done to help us make our special day possible. Amazing Banquet Center

The Christy is a wonderful venue for banquets and weddings. We have hosted a banquet there for the past seven years. They have beautiful banquet rooms and their banquet food is delicious. The management and staff are very accommodating and helpful. We return every year because we love it!

Amazing Vendor

If you're looking for a reception venue, look no further.... Book this place NOW! The Christy staff, especially Ron, are absolutely AMAZING! I had my wedding here last month and it was better than I had hoped. Ron help make every single detail perfect. I emailed Ron countless times and he was so quick to respond, he answered all of my questions and went above and beyond. My guests were in awe of the food and the atmosphere. Kim and Kelly helped us through the entire process when we were preparing for our wedding reception.. When we arrived at THE CHRISTY, our guests were all having a good time. The service was great. THE ENTIRE STAFF was very professional and helpful. We received many compliments from our friends and family about the food and the venue.

We hosted out senior luncheon at The Christy and it was awesome. The students had a great time, the food was delicious ,and the space/size of the room was perfect. We will be back next year and the years to come. The staff was nice and professional. The room was set up so beautiful was able to add a few things to the room which was a real bonus. Kim Heinzerling was a great help. She made the process of planning this luncheon as easy and stress free for me. Thanks Kim!

Our 1st venue turned out to be too small. We were fortunate to meet with Kelly and The Christy is beautiful. I have no doubts Kelly and her team will make our reception and day memorable.

We worked with Ron for our reception. We were married out of state and came home to celebrate with family. He was very kind and prompt with responses. He answerd all of our questions in a timely manner and professionally. The venue was set up beautifuly and the food was wonderful. Kim was so wonderful on our big day!! She helped is any way possible (even outside of catering responsibilities). She was very eager to help us out with anything that we needed, and when we had a communication error with the venue (not even regarding the food) she took care of it completely for us! The Christy Banquet Center off highway 70 and K was outstanding. Ron’s attention to detail, flexibility, responsiveness, organization, and professionalism helped the day come together nicely. Ron and the Christy were fantastic to work with from the beginning. When we met with Ron he was very friendly, open, provided a lot of tips and feedback, and he set us at ease. He responded to emails in a reasonable amount of time, usually same day. My parents live out of town and he was flexible with me every time I asked if I could stop by to show people the place. We were looking for a place that required very little decoration and very little work on our end, and The Christy was just that. They already had centerpieces, table cloths, napkins, option of chair covers, chandeliers, and lights behind the head table. They also do their own catering and had their own bartenders, so that was one less thing we needed to worry about. We did decide to use a few of our own decorations and Ron and his team were more than willing to help us out with getting them set up. He offered to put the decorations out for us so that it was one less thing we needed to worry about. When we arrived for our wedding reception, Ron was wonderful. He came out to greet us and to talk to us about how the night would start off as far as meals, clearing the buffet, etc. It was such a relief to get to the reception and know that he had everything under control and that we didn't need to worry about a thing. The night was so stress-free for us. The food was delicious! Everyone complimented it that night and weeks after our wedding as well. Ron made sure to check in with us a couple of times throughout the night to make sure we didn't need anything. At the end of the night, we never felt rushed or like we were being kicked out. The Christy boxed up all the buffet food that wasn't eaten and the cake for us so that we could take it home. I highly recommend The Christy in O'Fallon to everyone. They were such a great, kind, and sincere staff to work with. They made it so we were able to enjoy our reception without any worries.

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing The Christy in St. Louis city was. It was a one stop shop. We had our ceremony and reception there (guests sat at their dinner tables for the ceremony), and they handled the food/drinks and had a deal with Wedding Wonderland for the wedding cake.

We had a buffet with an open bar, and the TOTAL (including the "rental fee") was ~$20 per person in the winter on a Friday. I thought, well this low price must mean the food isn't the best. Nope! We tried at least half of our food at a tasting event, and it was even more delicious on the day of the wedding. I don't know how, but it was.

Kim and Kelly were absolutely amazing to work with. They would answer my emails at all hours of the day. They even offered me to use some leftover decorations for free. They have beautiful (FREE) floating candle goldish centerpieces available as well. We chose a white tablecloth and a green napkin (FREE). We opted to pay the extra charge for up-lighting and water service. The chairs were fine as is so no covers needed.

They allowed us to go into the hall anytime during normal business hours to plan out what we needed. This was HUGE for us. Since there wasn't an event the day before our wedding, we were able to come in during regular business hours and decorate the entire hall (FREE). We paid an extra charge to rehearse for an hour the night before.

We had ~200 guests and the space was still very roomy. The dance floor was large enough and we could even fit a huge photo booth (The Photo Beast) inside the room. The layout was great, especially for the ceremony, and you could do a quick glance around and see everyone and everything. No bad seat. They had a parking lot with ~70 spaces or so plus on-street parking.

The best part about such a deal? They only host one event at a time, so we were they only ones there. We didn't have to settle at all. Best offers and service ever.

There is nowhere else I would rather have our reception than at the Christy. We came across their booth at the wedding show we attended in January and decided that day to book with them! Ron, the owner was so accommodating the whole process that it made planning and booking a reception worry free. They worked hard to set up all our decorations for us so we would not have to worry about that the day of the wedding and they did not run us out of the door at the end of the night. We never once felt like we were rushed or our time was being cut short. Not only were they extremely professional in their work but their food and bar service was outstanding!! Both our families know how to drink and there was not a line one time at the bar because of how efficiently their bar tenders worked. Their food was also AMAZING! We here someone tell us everyday that they had the best reception food they have ever had! We would highly recommend the Christy to anyone seeking out a fun, nice, and accommodating reception hall! The Christy is a great place to have a reception. The staff is more than willing to make you have a wonderful experience. We had a lot of questions and they were answered promptly and with accuracy. Ron was a great host and made our reception flow flawlessly. For the amount you pay at other places (we looked at a lot) you get a lot of bang for your buck. The food was great and a lot of the guests were very happy with it. This place has ample parking. We had over 200 people and we fit comfortably and had plenty of room to dance. This staff was awesome and I hope they have a lot of success in the future.

We had The Christy cater our wedding and thought the food was outstanding! Several of our guests had said the same thing. It didn't taste like "typical" wedding food that was bland. They were great to work with prior to the day of and also the day of. They even packaged our leftovers up for us so that we could eat them the next day which the food was still delicious even after being re-heated. Great food for a great price and great to work with!

We would highly recommend The Christy. Our tasting food was as good as our wedding food. We had several people comment on how "this can't be wedding food". I know we had ordered 6 plates above our headcould and we had about 6 no shows....those 12 plates and then some were eatten...we had no leftovers!! The staff was personable and professional.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Christy on August 23, 2014. It was absolutely fabulous! We cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, venue and food!! All of the pre-planning was so easy and smooth! The night of, the event manager was spot on keeping the show running smoothly! And, the bartenders kept up with our party crowd! The food was exceptional! All of our guests commented on how tasty it was! All food is made in-house and it shows!

The event coordinator Kim was very nice and answered all of my questions. The event manager Gary was very nice and a joy to work with. We have heard how great the food was since our wedding. The Christy was easy to work with, flexible, reasonably priced, and had fantastic food. We worked primarily with Kelly and she made the entire process seamless. The free tasting offered a variety of options and helped us to determine what we wanted to serve at our wedding. Since their pricing was so reasonable, we were able to add an extra side dish and entrée, which gave our guests a lot of options when choosing their meal. We went with the buffet so that our guests could eat as much as they wanted, and they certainly did just that. For weeks after the wedding we heard rave reviews of the different items we chose for the evening. Everyone had something that they absolutely loved, and everyone loved that they could eat as much of it as they wanted. We highly recommend that you check out The Christy for your catering or reception needs because they provide excellent service, quality food, and a fun-filled atmosphere.

A friend of mine had her reception here a few years prior, and I was impressed back then. From the beginning (I booked them about 16 months prior to the wedding), the owners and staff worked with me on every aspect for my reception. Granted, I didn't ask for much or anything out of the ordinary, but The Christy was wonderful! You definitely get bang for your buck. By far, The Christy was the best deal for everything I wanted... food, alcohol, linens and decorations, etc. Any bride on a budget who still wants to have a classy, beautiful reception should definitely look into The Christy.

I couldn't have been happier with the Christy. They were extremely flexible with the special requests I had and let us into the venue days before the event to set up. I'm not a "banquet center" person usually,but th eroom looked so beautifual and the staff were extremely attentive, professional and responsive to our guests needs. The food was absolutely delicious and we're still getting comments from our guests about it. It was a wonderful value for the price and I would recommend them without hesitation.

I'm so glad we used The Christy for our reception venue. Barb was so helpful answering all my many questions and emails prior to the event, including peanut allergy questions, scheduling questions, etc. The service was great, the communication was excellent, and we had so much fun. Everyone said how good the food was, the bar staff was very accomodating, and the room was the perfect atmosphere (neutral back drop for our decor/decorations). I would definitely recommend.

I have attended two wedding receptions at The Christy. They have the best price in the area and that is why we chose them for our wedding reception. It’s one price for everything -- buffet dinner, open bar, and cake. Barb, one of the managers there, is great to work with. She responds to emails and phone messages quickly. The venue has two rooms, one larger than the other. We are in the smaller room, which will accommodate our 175 guests. My only complaint is that the venue allows smoking inside. However, I never noticed a smell when visiting while there was not an event taking place. I am going to place no smoking signs on the door and at the bar for my reception.

The Christy was a great fit for our wedding reception! Working with Ron Preiss at the O'Fallon location was a very easy and stress-free part of our overall wedding planning. We are so glad we chose this venue!
We reserved the entire building, which gave it a nice private feel, as we were the only event being held there that night. The food was delicious and they accommodated all of our little requests, including a little side dish of mostacholi just for my dad (even though we didn't serve it as part of the buffet).
When a Friday night event got booked shortly before the wedding (the day we had hoped to decorate) and we weren't able to decorate for ourselves, they took over the set up of the venue as well, which took that off my plate during a very busy wedding week. Everything looked just like the sample tables we set up for them.
We were able to use a side room as a "kid's getaway" for coloring, etc., and they kindly set up a few additional tables and tablecloths in there for that purpose.
The "late night appetizers" were a big hit with our guests.
Parking is ample and the overall location was perfect for our needs.
They were willing to utilize all of the special items we brought along...my parent's champagne glasses for the whole wedding party, etc.
They also provided us with the leftover food, which we divvied up among some grateful friends and family (they also offer to donate the rest to a nearby shelter, which is a great alternative).
Those are just a few of the nice things that made The Christy a great fit for us, but all aspects were handled very professionally and confidently. We received rave reviews from our 270 guests. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

In the months leading up to my wedding, I found The Christy staff to be friendly and helpful. They provided us a great reception without breaking the bank. We received nothing but compliments on the food they served.
We did have 3 small (very small) issues with The Christy. First, we had issues with their hours when trying to accommodate our other vendors. When my band leader wanted to meet with me at the venue to check out where they would be playing, it was difficult for me to make an appointment with them on the weekend. It eventually happened, but they suggested many times I come in during their weekday hours, but my husband and I both work so it would have been impossible for us to do that. Also, I must not have been paying attention when we were signing our contract, but they did not give us access to the building until a few hours before our reception began. Which meant that it was very hard for our vendors that were setting up at our ceremony and the reception. They offered us other options like coming by the night before, but few of the options they gave worked for what I needed. I needed my vendors to come in and set up throughout the day of my wedding, not just a couple hours before. We also didn't appreciate the manager rudely yelling at the band to stop at the minute our ceremony was scheduled to end. I get it that everyone wants to wrap it up and go home, but it could have been handled more professionally. I would call those fairly minor issues. I would certainly recommend The Christy to anyone. If I had to do it all over again, I would most definitely choose The Christy.

We absolutely loved The Christy and everyone there. The whole wedding and reception went flawlessly. Barb was there for me anytime that I needed her and was always available throughout the reception for ANYONE who had any questions.

Very nice venue with plenty of parking. They even invited us to dinner to sample their food and show how the rooms can be set up and are available to answer any questions you might have. I have been there for birthday parties and large banquets and have always enjoyed the food and setting. Located one block over from Highway 70 between Bryan Road and Highway K. My wedding is not until June, therefore, I don't currently have photos yet.

Loved having the chapel for the wedding and room for reception at the same venue. They let me use a room to get ready. I was able to set up and decorate the day before event. Ron and his team were so helpful. He set up a tasting for clients. It was great because we actually changed our menu which worked out even better. They were so accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend.

It was a fancy place but reasonable in price. It was a package deal. It includes cake, food, some decorating, clean up. and you can even just get married in the reception hall. which saves you lots of time because you wont have to drive anywhere. The food was great!! Everyone loved the food and got seconds. It was very professional. I would recommend this company!

We were all ready and set to go with pricing. We went for a week before consultation and the prices changed. We weren't notified of this change. As a stressed out bride, this didn't sit well with me. Items we wanted weren't on the new list anymore. Chair covers were listed but beware, that's a separate fee as well. Just make sure you cover every little detail and follow up with it.
Our night was indeed amazing.
I didn't like the photo booth from the other room hovering the restroom. That is just a space issue.

The staff was amazing and helped us clean up quickly after. I did love that I could set up my room the Wednesday before and beyond. It was a perfect sized venue for us. The food was great. The bartenders were great as well! Our night was perfect.
