I cannot say enough amazing things about The Catering Outfit and the entire team - especially Nina. Going into wedding planning, I thought I could handle it myself without a planner, but Nina completely stepped in and made sure every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed to perfection. Even during moments when I definitely had “bride brain,” Nina and her team were calm, organized, and always one step ahead.
As a couple, we also spent time shopping around and comparing caterers, and I can honestly say they were worth every penny. The value, quality, and experience they provided were truly unmatched.
The taste testing was incredible. Honestly better than I could have imagined - and the signature drink tasting was just as amazing. Everything was so intentional and delicious, and it truly showed on our wedding day.
Their magic didn’t go unnoticed by our guests either. Throughout the night, people kept asking who our caterer was because the food, drinks, and service were so outstanding.
If I could get married again just to work with this team one more time, I absolutely would. I’m so grateful for everything they did to make our day unforgettable.

The Catering Outfit provided an elevated catering experience for our wedding that was nothing short of phenomenal. From the initial planning stages to the last dance, their service was an absolute 10/10, professional, and seamless!
Nina Dowell deserves immense credit. She put extraordinary work and effort into ensuring our day was perfect. During the planning process, she was an invaluable resource, offering great advice on everything from our tablescapes to lighting to recommending other excellent vendors for rentals. Our tasting was a highlight of the planning process, TCO made it such a fun experience for us and our parents!
On the wedding day, the ENTIRE team - every single server and bartender - went out of their way to make the experience amazing for our guests. The service was flawless, and they ensured that my partner and I were personally taken care of throughout the entire evening. We received numerous compliments on their attentiveness and professionalism.
The food itself was exceptional. Our guests repeatedly told us how delicious everything was. The meals were served hot, and we were super impressed with the quality of the vegetarian options. Furthermore, we had a couple of severe allergies within our party, and the TCO team was incredibly thorough in ensuring every guest was handled with care and safety.
If you are looking for a full service catering company that offers delicious, high-quality food combined with truly impeccable, above-and-beyond service, The Catering Outfit is the clear choice. They exceeded every expectation, and we are so thankful we got to work with them! -

Wow! All we can say is that everything was perfect! Courtney and The Catering Outfit hit a home run. From the onset, Courtney provided us with outstanding service and advice. She was always available to answer questions, no matter how small. Both the wedding ceremony and dinner were outside. The setting and tables were beautiful and the service was incredible! Prior to the wedding we served white peach sangria with diced peaches, apples and oranges...perfect! The appetizers were all a hit with the chicken tikki masala skewers being the favorite. The dinner was plated beautifully and most importantly was delicious. Considering the walk the servers had from the kitchen to the tables, it still came out hot which was very important to us. All the food was delicious, the favorite being the beef tenderloin with a blackberry port wine sauce served over a delicious corn polenta. We also were able to accommodate guests that were vegetarian or vegan with lovely dinner options. At the last minute we added a late night snack of ham biscuits and a pimento cheese biscuit that were a big hit on the dance floor! I can't say enough how elegant, professional and kind the servers were. The service went well beyond our expectations, if that is possible!! Courtney was so enthusiastic, helpful and truly made us feel like we were the only wedding she was coordinating. To summarize, we cannot recommend The Catering Outfit enough for the amazing food, planning, coordination, service and experience they offer!! -

We got endless compliments on the catering staff. The guests were so impressed with the coordinated table service. But beyond being professional, the staff were friendly, funny, and engaged. Our guests loved the quality of the food, but also felt the comfort of the staff. I loved exchanging glances with the staff shaking their shoulders while looking onto the dance floor. Our guests loved the funny exchanges as the vendors as they learned their most favorite hors d'ouvre, and would make eyes with every pass to see if they wanted any more. Honestly amazing. On our drive home, we said at least three times "worth every penny". -

Let TCO make your wedding dreams come true
My wedding was Oct 26 2024 at Montfair Resort farm and it was great but what made it truly over the top wonderful was TCO and Courtney Hildebrand, my day of coordinator and wedding planner. First off, Courtney is someone who is thoughtful and really puts her heart and soul into weddings- I mean the organized timeline she put together for me and all the other vendors for the wedding day- it was an anxious person’s dream. She managed to make sure everything from my vision of my perfect wedding happened. As for the food, I would pick TCO again to cater any event I have. I still have guests talking about it and asking me if they have their own restaurant because that’s how good it was. The bar they brought in was amazing and the staff were hands down just so wonderful.
I would choose this team time and time again. -

As a wedding planner, I always encourage my clients to get catering proposals from TCO as they're truly the best in the business. The success of any good event is an incredible catering team as they do SO much -- manage rentals and deliveries, detail floor plans with rentals, set-up, serve, breakdown, and every little thing in between. TCO (and Courtney in paritcular) is incredibly attentive, responsive, thoughtful, and truly an extra set of eyes to have on the planning process from the rentals and logistics perspective. You can Courtney has so much pride for her work and loves serving clients and giving them the best experience possible. Investing in a strong catering team is integral to the success of any event, and TCO is worth their weight in gold. My wedding venue at The Seclusion uses the Catering Outfit as a preferred vendor for catering and they were fantastic, the day of and prior the service has been spotless, professional – the food and drinks delicious I – the attention to detail is outstanding – there wasn’t a fork or spoon out of place. I hired Courtney Hildebrand as my wedding planner from the Catering Outfit and she was an absolutely gem! As it got closer to the wedding day and as a Bride, she handled big and small details so I could truly relax and enjoy my big day. Courtney put a lot of work and effort into making the day of as smoothness as it could be – from the outside looking in – it was a perfect operation. During the planning stages Courtney offered such great design ideas such as what linens and colors to us, place settings, table layout, recommended fabulous vendors etc. and helped me plan a beautiful dream wedding! I could not say enough good things about Courtney and TCO. Throughout the year long process of planning the full catering, rentals, and day of planning for our wedding she was incredibly patient, thorough, collaborative, knowledgeable, and funny! She is very professional and you can tell she really cares and loves what she does. There were so many little things she thought of that made our day go smoothly/lives easier. She gave us insightful advice on some of the bigger decisions as well. She was always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to provide recommendations and guidance. I would hire Courtney and TCO again in a heartbeat and if you have the opportunity to work with them, you should without hesitation. TCO: The initial tasting was amazing and they provided an extensive list of options beforehand. They were flexible with dietary restrictions and even with small alterations to menu options. The food itself was delicious, outstanding, best food I've ever had at a wedding. That's why we picked them, they catered a friend's wedding before ours and we were blown away. They were also great with working with the venue itself and their staff. -

TCO was top notch to work with. The food at our wedding was phenomenal and guests reached out afterwards to tell us how good it was. They even worked with us to integrate syrup from blackberries my father in law grew into our cocktails, which was such a fun touch at our event.
In the Charlottesville area their quote came out higher than our other vendors but was also the most honest of the quotes. All the other caterers in the area left off important rental items such as “ silverware” and “the things needed to actually cook the meal you want”.
I highly recommend them, we had such a great wedding day! -

The Catering Outfit was a clear choice for our wedding at Mount Fair Vineyard. When we scheduled our tasting, it couldn't have gone any better with Frank. Professional, fun, organized, etc. Everything tasted amazing, we had our entire menu picked out within a few hours.
There's a few other benefits working with The Catering Outfit. One is they have a great relationship with MS Events (Rentals) so they can handle all the contracts together and you can have confidence that everything will run smoothly. Another is the volume of staff they bring with them. There had to have been 15-20 people across the property setting up, cooking, serving, bartending, cleaning, etc. They left the venue spotless, were dressed and operated as professionals and served amazing food.
People will tell you that no one will remember what they ate at your wedding. I certainly did though, and we certainly got a ton of complements on the food that was served! And what people will definitely remember is the quality of service and professionalism. On that front, we were covered and then some.
I cannot stress enough, WORK WITH A FULL SERVICE CATERER. We had originally planned to work with a caterer who was not full service and quickly discovered how many tiny responsibilities are covered when you work with a true full-service caterer.
All in all, couldn't have asked for a better catering partner for the biggest weekend of our lives so far. Thank you Frank and Courtney!!!!!!! -

The Catering Outfit was a wonderful company to work with for our wedding. As a planner, Courtney was absolutely amazing to work with. She was so in tune with our specific needs and made us feel so taken care of and special. During go time, she was somehow on every little detail at once, while also celebrating with us. She was also very organized and easy to work with during the entire planning process. The Catering Outfit staff who worked our wedding were accommodating and personal and took care of everything. Everyone loved the bar and bar service. The passed apps were perfect for us and our guests and we’re unique and so yummy. We got chicken satay, bacon wrapped dates, whipped feta bites on cucumber and rockfish pate. Everything was delicious! We love The Catering Outfit! -

Extremely high quality catering and event planning
My wife and I worked with Makayla Baxter(our day-of coordinator) and The Catering Outfit(TCO) for our wedding. TCO has mastered the art of elegant, unique, and delicious catering options. The aesthetics and details of the food seems like it should be unparalleled, but just wait until you actually taste it! They offered a free tasting of our final selection of meals for us and our loved ones, which was a great experience.
The day of our wedding was truly perfect! The catering team even prepared a honeymoon kit with tasty treats for us. The staff were delightful and multiple guests commented on the friendliness and joyful energy of the bartenders.
Makayla worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect. She is experienced and knowledgeable and completely capable of making all the appropriate decisions, however she is extremely considerate of what the clients are looking for when making decisions. She helped keep us on task in the time leading up to the wedding and she handled literally everything on the wedding day. She is professional and dependable, but also fun to work with. I really cannot say enough positive things about this entire experience! We are truly grateful to this team. -

Top notch catering company
We are so glad we went with the Catering Outfit for our wedding reception. From the first tasting to the final breakdown after our wedding, Telia and team were absolute professionals and SO helpful and attentive. They were a huge part of our entire wedding planning process and we couldn't have done it without them. Not to mention the food was incredible. All of our guests were raving about it. The bar service was amazing as well, and they helped us immensely with quantities (we provided our own alcohol) and developing our signature cocktail.
We had passed apps for our cocktail hour - coconut shrimp, chicken taquitos, and southern fried tomatoes. (This was the hardest part to pick because we liked everything we tasted, we just went with what we thought would be the biggest crowd pleasers.) Our wedding menu consisted of steak and chicken grilled on site on a wood-fired grill, both served with a variety of sauces. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauces elevated everything. We also had the roasted potatoes, a seasonal salad, and a medley of roasted root vegetables. We did a trio of bite-sized desserts in lieu of a cake - mini fruit tarts, cheesecakes, and pot de creme. The stations were set up beautiful - very stylish with lovely printed menus. We added on the late-night snacks option (udon noodles in takeout containers with chopsticks). All of it was a huge hit, and as most brides say, I just wish I ate more of it! They did not come cheap, but our price also included an extensive amount of rentals (our venue did not have a kitchen), as well as the full beverage package and late night snacks. But it was worth every penny to us to work with The Catering Outfit, I can't recommend them enough. -

TCO catered our wedding last weekend and I cannot recommend this company highly enough. We have received so many compliments on the food and drinks - people loved the black walnut old fashioned and figgy mule! The passed apps were plentiful and delicious, the service was professional and courteous all around. My husband and I were extremely well fed and watered, despite busily rounding the room to greet guests. Our planner Courtney was an absolute ALL STAR! I did not worry about a single thing (in fact, I forgot a few things - but she did not) once she took over planning and coordination. Courtney handled everything from timeline, to vendor coordination, to transportation, to unpacking and repacking. If you need a catering company for your wedding (or any event really) The Catering Outfit is the way to go!
My husband and I were worried that we would have trouble finding vendors we liked since we were planning our Virginia wedding from Hawaii, but we were lucky to find The Catering Outfit. They hopped on several virtual calls with us; allowed our family to go to a tasting to help us pick out the perfect menu, snacks, and drinks; and met with us when we got back to Virginia to work through all the final details.
Our lead was Allison and she was an absolute star. She made sure the whole team worked together well and was always by our side to offer us a drink or a snack during the wedding. She was a wonderful destressing presence and we could not have asked for a better go-to.
All of our guests raved about the food - not just the taste but also the presentation - and how accommodating and delightful the staff was. It felt great to be surrounded by people who were invested in giving us the best day possible. -

If you are looking for an absolute "wow" for your wedding day, you should contact The Catering Outfit! We hired them for our daughter's wedding and we wanted her to have a dream of a wedding and our guests to have an experience they would not forget. The food and service we received from TCO exceeded all of our expectations and our guests are STILL talking about it! The planning process was easy, the staff always willing to make a change or suggestion when needed. The wedding was stress free on our end and we chalk this up to our vendor selection, and TCO was a huge part of that. The Catering Outfit was amazing and we got so many compliments on the food! Walter and the team are amazing and were super flexible with us - they partnered with one of our guests (who has smoked meat/collaborated with them in the past) to meet our vision of having as many friends involved in the details of our day as possible. We also used Courtney as our coordinator, which definitely helped the day move seamlessly. She did an amazing job managing the other vendors and problem solving when changes needed to be made. They had a box of food/champagne packaged up for us and placed in our getaway car, which was such a special treat! We could not recommend more highly!! Thank you! -

I don’t even know where to start with the praise The Catering Outfit (TCO) deserves! They were extremely responsive and communicative throughout the entire process planning our wedding. We worked with Courtney Hildebrand, and hired her as our month-of coordinator. She saved the day when our transportation cancelled last minute at midnight the night before the wedding. Okay now back to the food - the tasting experience was truly amazing and Courtney worked with our budget and requests to create a flawless, delicious menu. From the cocktail hour to dinner to late night food, everything was spectacular with an immaculate presentation. Our guests are continuing to talk about how amazing the food and cocktails were, even weeks later! If you want a truly memorable catering experience for your wedding, then you have to hire TCO. They say guests don’t remember the food at your wedding, but with TCO they certainly will! Also we cannot thank Courtney enough for all her help with the last minute craziness and speed bumps. The Catering Outfit made our wedding food dreams a reality! Courtney was incredibly flexible with our options as well as truly listening to us about what we wanted. She put such a great spin on some of our favorite foods that elevated those dishes to become proper dishes for our guests.
The entire process was very exciting for my fiance and I - we had a tasting at their beautiful studio in Charlottesville - everything was totally customized for our experience. This was one of the first big things we did for our wedding and we felt so special and excited afterwards. The tasting was DELICIOUS! So much so it was hard to narrow down our choices. One of my favorite things about Courtney's approach was that she presented ideas to us that suited us, but also ideas we'd never seen at other events or weddings before. Her creative approach really made us feel like we had no other choice but to go with the Catering Outfit.
On the wedding day we heard constant praises about not only the cocktail hour food, reception food, but also how fun the hot toddy (November weddings call for some warm cocktails) passed drinks were as well as how crucial the outdoor bourbon and cigar bar was.
Because our wedding was in the middle of a pandemic we had to make sure proper COVID-19 precautions were taken - The Catering Outfit complied with every precaution as well as added even more to make sure we were at ease as well as our guests. They were also very flexible with final headcount and other restrictions we had to put in place because of COVID-19 - it was all a breeze without any friction.
Bottom line: The Catering Outfit provides DELICIOUS food, impeccable service, and creativity that will leave your guests in awe. -

We had a wonderful experience with TCO for our wedding. What started out as an event for around 100 people quickly evolved into a small gathering of about 20 of our closest family members. Courtney and her team did a fabulous job making adjustments to our plans as we rearranged the vision of our wedding. Having a more intimate affair turned out to be absolutely beautiful and allowed us to do a family style meal, which was perfect. The set up of our long tables and all the beautiful table settings was perfection and as we became more and more anxious about the weather for our outdoor ceremony and reception, Courtney and Frank were extremely flexible and accommodating with several back up plans to make sure that no matter the weather, our event would be perfect. My husband and I loved the food when we chose it at our tasting but both agreed it was even more delicious at the wedding. All of our guests raved about it, some saying it was one of (if not the best) meals they've ever had at a wedding. Even some of the picky eaters had great things to say about all the food, which is a huge testament to the catering team. The service of the wait and bar staff was also flawless, from the set up, cocktail and dinner service, to the clean up at the end of the night. We were so impressed and so thrilled we chose TCO (as well as MS Events) to execute such a perfect day for us and our families. -

Our experience with TCO was absolutely incredible from start to finish! We have been to many weddings and didn't know it was possible for wedding food to taste this delicious. Our guests have also been raving about the food at our wedding and said it was hands down the best wedding food they've ever had. The service was also exceptional - the waiters and bartenders went above and beyond in everything that they did. Courtney and her team at TCO were the nicest, most accommodating team ever! My husband and I are still talking about their warm attitudes and amazing food weeks after our wedding! Our venue had some obstacles to overcome and they handled it all with grace and hard work. We had a specific vision when it came to the food served at our reception: we wanted to incorporate foods from our travels. TCO came through 100% with this, helping to create a menu that was diverse, unique, and DELICIOUS!! The tastings really helped narrow it down and our guests really enjoyed the opportunity to try new foods along with some favorites. The signature cocktails crafted by their mixologist were a HUGE hit with our people as well. even the kiddos loved the "mock-tail" versions of them, and they loved "feeling fancy" with a drink. When it comes to The Catering Outfit, we can’t say enough good things about them and their entire team! TCO was our first tasting and hands-down the best. Right from the beginning they offered us some great ideas and even offered some variations to the menu that we had thought about. After two other tastings, we knew that there was no comparison. We worked with Courtney from start to finish planning our wedding. While our original plan was to be married in May, we had to reschedule due to the pandemic. Courtney was absolutely amazing in orchestrating the change of date and helping us get all other vendors on board. As the wedding date approached, we met with Courtney and the team came up with everything in the book that they could think of to keep our guest safe during the pandemic.
When the wedding date finally arrived, everyone was blown away from the deviled egg appetizers to every item at our three food stations. Even a few days prior, we changed a side item or two we hadn’t tried at our tasting with suggestions from Courtney, and wow, she hit it out of the ballpark! Every guest we have spoken to you since our wedding has commented that it was the absolute best food they have ever had at a wedding hands-down! From the chefs and our food to the bar team serving up signature cocktails to Courtney’s coordination of the entire day we couldn’t of done it without the TCO team! We hired both TCO for catering and Courtney Hildebrand for her month of coordination services. We booked TCO almost a year and a half before our wedding-- that's how sure we were!! The tasting was one of the most gorgeous, well-plated and extremely delicious meals our families had ever tasted. We are a big foodie family so naturally we added extra apps and even late night snacks that our guests raved about. My grandfather doesn't have much of an appetite these days, but he ate seconds of everything, so you know it was outstanding. The food was extremely well prepared and the service was undeniably the best we could have asked for. They have their safety precautions down to an art and every member of the catering staff took masking and gloving very seriously. They even had the most gorgeous plexiglass dividers for our buffet! As the bride, it was actually lifesaving that small plates of food just magically appeared into my hands throughout the evening. I can't say enough about how great they were-- they made our night amazing and I am so thankful that we hired them! -

We are so grateful we hired Courtney and the Catering Outfit for our event in August 2020. We had originally planned to have our event in June and started working with Courtney about 14 months before that. From our first call with Courtney, we could tell that she’s on top of her game and knows the industry like an expert. She provided excellent advice and helped us create a menu and plan that fit our budget. When we realized we would need to postpone and then drastically modify our event to immediate family only, she was so understanding and patiently helped us re-plan our wedding for immediate family only. We were absolutely blown away by the wedding she coordinated for us. The food and drinks were incredible, the venue was decorated beautifully, the servers were so respectful and attentive, and every last detail was nailed down so I did not have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. I could not have been any happier with the service from The Catering Outfit. Our original out of state wedding plans were affected by COVID-19 and we had decided to stay local to celebrate. I knew that The Catering Outfit was the way to go! Courtney Wilson Hildebrand was so responsive during my initial inquiry and asked all of the right questions to streamline the process. TCO's menu options are a FOODIE'S DREAM. Honestly the food was the highlight of the entire reception and all of our guests raved about it for long after the event. Not only was the food delicious but the way the buffet was set was gorgeous! Dishes were placed in cast iron ans giving the display a rustic look.
The food is just the half of it. The SERVICE was incredible. Working with Courtney Wilson Hildebrand on the planning and logistics was such a breeze. She is a true pro. On-site we had the pleasure of working with Cameron and Gayle who ran the show flawlessly.
Hospitality at it's finest! Also, did I mention that I am an event planner and work with numerous caterers and TCO is by far the BEST. -

Courtney and TCO team...where do I even begin. The caterer was the hardest decision for us to book in this entire wedding planning process—because we knew it meant so much since they would be the day of coordinator as well. Could not have chosen better than Courtney and TCO. From the beginning on the phone to find out about the vibe and overall experience we wanted to create, down to the day of execution of the most amazing whiskey bar, Courtney’s attention to detail and eye for creating warm, beautiful, unique, and stunning spaces was so apparent. I told my fiancé after a phone call with Courtney that we needed to book her—I felt like she just got me! Her ideas were great, she was very helpful in understanding and sticking to budget, giving ideas on where to cut, and where it would be important to add. All of the decor and set up was all Courtney—I sourced table number frames and the name cards—and she absolutely crushed it all! For the food—hands down the best wedding food I’ve eaten and they have so many options, are able to accommodate any dietary needs, are able to theme your meal to really anything under the sun as long as you ask them. During our tasting, Courtney did a great job of making sure all the food made sense and flowed together. For the bar, TCO has a lot of options for upgrades, customizing only what you want (again to save $$), and TONS of options for beer and liquor as well as their custom drinks—all my guests are still talking about our spiked apple cider! The wine we had to source from our venue, but I am sure TCO has a great selection there too. Courtney was able to create a whiskey bar for us—and it couldn’t be cooler, way beyond what I imagined it would be! This is such a huge vendor for any wedding but our experience was top notch in terms of service, level of personalization, care, and quality of product. Courtney and her team at The Catering Outfit delivered top-notch food for our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. The staff was professional, so very kind, and attentive to our needs throughout the weekend. As a bride, I felt like the catering team was always checking in to make sure that while I was mingling, I had a drink and appetizers, and that I had enough time to eat my dinner. The food was impeccable and I can't even begin to describe how delicious it all was. We had a family style dinner for 125 guests, and everyone said that the food was piping hot, plentiful, and outstanding. There was an abundance of wait staff, and every guest was attended to quickly and often. The bar service was amazing as well! At the end of the night, there were 2 dinners and cake in the refrigerator of our room when we got back, and they had boxed up so many leftovers that we will eat well for days. Everything was effortless with them and I so appreciate it. In addition, Courtney is very knowledgeable in wedding planning, and she was a huge asset in helping with planning, decor, and setup. -

We knew the food would be great because we'd had the tasting but did not expect the level of service and personalization on all counts. Our guests who had kids were so thrilled that their meals came out early and we were pleasantly surprised and thankful to have our own tray of appetizers and our own dinner brought to us ( we did a buffet style meal). Also, anyone with dietary restrictions had their own plate brought to them. Oh, and to have wine given out to us and our wedding party after the ceremony was so lovely!

We hired The Catering Outfit(TCO) for our wedding. The food and wine aspect for our reception were very important to us and COO didn't disappoint! During our tasting(which was fantastic) Courtney introduced us to one of their wine reps who selected the best wines for our reception. The food was a huge hit with our guests, especially the filet which was cooked perfectly. We hired TCO for our wedding in Crozet, Va in Oct 2022. We did a non-traditional cocktail-style reception with a stationed dinner. We were so impressed with the setup and food on the day of and received so many compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding food they've ever had!
While we're so grateful that the food was delicious and our guests were pleased, we also had some challenges working with TCO during the wedding planning process. They were great to work with whenever we were able to get in touch with them! But when we would reach out to them through their communication platform (which was frustrating to use) we would go weeks or sometimes months without hearing from them. Even our wedding planner had difficulty getting a hold of them, and this became one of the most stressful parts of our wedding planning experience as we approached the final months before the big day. Their lack of communication left us feeling like we weren't very important compared to their higher paying clients. It was particularly frustrating because we had reworked our budget to be able to hire them and it was a huge expense for us. Looking back, we would choose TCO again, but wish they would improve their communications for clients at all levels. -

We should have known TCO was a disaster from the day of the tasting, when the food was cold and they mixed up which cut of meat was which.
The Catering Outfit failed to fulfill the basic requirements of a wedding caterer in more ways than I have space to list here, but here are some highlights: 1) Throughout the planning process, from the moment we paid, TCO was extremely difficult to reach; at one point, we had to send 6 emails in a row over a period of 6 weeks before we finally got a response, which was “we are busy and will get back to you on Tuesday” (which they did not); 2) The ‘roasted broccolini with parmesan’ on the menu was instead served as limp steamed broccolini; 3) The french beans were supposed to be served with a compound butter which was entirely absent; 4) The salmon, which was delicious and heavily encrusted with pecans at the tasting, was bland, overcooked, and barely had any crust at the wedding itself; 5) The officiant (my best friend) never got her meal and the mother of the bride didn’t have a chair at her table; 6) There was supposed to be a water station at the ceremony but it never arrived; 7) Despite knowing that we had ordered 350 slices of cake, they only rented 110 cake plates(!!) When we asked why there wasn’t more cake being served, we were told that the plate count was on the final rental order – but they didn’t send this to us until 5pm the Friday night before the wedding, by which time we were already at our rehearsal dinner; 8) Despite serving us wine at the tasting and displaying a wine glass at the sample table setting when we booked rentals, they did not serve wine with dinner. We didn’t realize this would be the case, as they had never asked us if we wanted this service, and given its inclusion at the tasting, we had the impression it was included. Their response to our surprise to discover wine service was not included was that “it was not on the BEO”, but the BEO was sent to us full of many other errors just four days before the wedding, did not contain the dessert wine service (which was in fact served!), and did not contain any information about the glassware rentals (which, again, was sent to us at 5pm the Friday night before the wedding, at which time we were already at our rehearsal dinner and no longer able to check their work). While we did not, upon further review, pay for the dinner wine service, TCO should have flagged this omission from the contract during our many conversations with them before the wedding to confirm if we wanted wine served at the table; 9) We had discussed multiple times that TCO would pass wine and cocktails during cocktail hour and emphasized our priority to avoid long lines at the bar. However, TCO failed to flag that they would only have three trays of passed drinks during the hour and a half long cocktail hour; 10) They fed the tables in entirely the wrong order, meaning we couldn’t start speeches on time.
The repeated failures to provide basic food service significantly impeded our ability to enjoy the day and our memories of the event. We strongly urge anyone considering TCO to avoid them at all costs.
P.S. After we posted this review, they "contested" it with WeddingWire, which led to it being taken down; we shared dozens of pieces of evidence with the WeddingWire disputes team in order to get the review back online. -
