people were RAVING about the food.

I've sure all of us have been to weddings that the food was only subpar. The Catering Connections was the complete opposite! everyone was still talking about the food MONTHS after the wedding. & the team of people they brought to help with our wedding were OUTSTANDING! Sherese was an absolute gem to work with! she answered all our questions in a timely fashion & helped us with securing alcohol for our big day. thank you so much The Catering Connections for making our big day a success!

Beautiful presentation

We received many compliments on how good the food was. More specifically, the passed appetizers (sushi shooters and kalua burgers) and the crispy chicken chunks. We did family style for 120 people. The portions were a little on the small side, but the presentation of everything was beautiful.

5 Star Service and Delicious Food!!

Ally from The Catering Connections answered all our catering needs from unlimited emails, phone calls and text. We had multiple chefs to choose from and we chose chef Grant Sims to cater our wedding day. On our visit to Hawaii, it was no hassle to make an appointment for food tasting with him. We were able to select many dishes to taste test and they were all delicious! The reason we decided to have a buffet on our wedding day was so that our guests can enjoy all sorts of dishes. If only I was able to enjoy all of them on my wedding day. My mouth is salivating as I type this review and getting hungry from the thought of the scrumptious food. Had a great experience working with the folks at Catering Connection, thank you all so much for making our special day (7/7/18) as truly special as it was!! We booked with CC for both food and rentals, and so happy that we did. We planned our wedding ourselves and I don't think we could have done it as nicely if not for CC. Right away Ally proposed all the necessary items we might need to rent and even mocked up a layout for us! I instantly felt like I was in good hands, and my decision was made easier.
The team at Catering Connection was well known to our venue (Kualoa Ranch) as well as some of the other vendors we worked with, so that made things work more smoothly too.
The tasting that we had was wonderful: we were served almost everything that we requested, and then some! It was so nice to have the staff's full attention during the tasting too (we had done other tastings in group settings, the dedicated session with CC was great!).
The night before our wedding I got a call from Ryan that there was a wedding that they serviced at our site that day and if I wanted, they would leave the tent in place from that service. This was so nice, and I am SO GLAD that it worked out that way! The tent that we got to use (at NO extra cost) was a huge clear-top tent with nice hanging lights throughout. I couldn't have imagined anything better than what that tent gave us: space to fit everything underneath (all tables, dance floor, bar, DJ, games, etc.) and a beautiful ambiance!
The food at the reception was GREAT! We are STILL getting compliments on the food that we had! Though I didn't get to enjoy much at the reception myself, I did benefit from what little leftovers we had. Unfortunately, the DELICIOUS prime rib was eaten up the night of! I also later heard that some of the children at the wedding were not totally enjoying the food, so the chef whipped up some mac and cheese on the spot!

Ally is awesome, she was quick with her responses, honest and so easy to work with. Chef Grant without a doubt best decision, you can really tell his love for food. We were so impressed with him when we first met. He truly cares and wants to cater to what you want. From the beginning it was such a pleasure working with Catering Connection and on the day of we cannot explain how impressed we were with the entire team that day. We had so much positive feedback from our guests about the service and of course food! Thank you so much! We were so happy with everything. Worth every penny!

My guests still have not stopped complimenting me how delicious the food served at the wedding was! They were extremely professional throughout the entire process. They responded promptly to all my questions and emails so I was not concerned about the distance and time difference. I was lucky enough to be able to attend a tasting before my wedding and Bruce and his staff were extremely kind and professional. They were very detailed-oriented and wanted to check how I wanted the food to be served etc. I'm still drooling over their live-action malasada, lechon (pig), and many other dishes they served. Bruce was so thoughtful and kind - he actually brought over food to us to make sure we were eating all the food! (NO regrets there!) I HIGHLY recommend using Catering Connection if you still haven't decided on your caterer to your wedding!

From the moment I contacted Catering Connection, they made me feel secure about planning this long distance wedding. They were always available to discuss the details and everything turned out perfectly. The food was delicious and extremely plentiful and the staff was totally professional and courteous. My point person was there on the day of the wedding to make sure everything was right. I would totally recommend Catering Connection to do it right!

The Catering Connection exceeded our expectations! They were very accommodating of our requests. Everything was set up on time. The bar tender mixed up a pitcher of sangria, which was a hit. All the staff and waiters were friendly and very attentive. Lastly, you can't go wrong with Chef Grant's cooking. Everyone loved the food. I still crave for his bread pudding to this day. Thank you all!

The food was INCREDIBLE!!! The staff (waiters, bartenders, and chefs) were all so gracious and accommodating. They were always on stand-by to attend to our needs but kept just enough distance to where we didn't feel like they were smothering us. We recommend The Catering Connection for any event!!!!

We planned our daughter and sons wedding. We chose the catering connection to handle everything for us. To begin, I own two restaurants in Las Vegas and have been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. After interviewing 2 other catering companies I chose the catering connection based on their willingness to accommodate us, allowing us to do a tasting, receptiveness to our feedback on the menu items , quality of food and definitely the price! Sarah, Bruce, Chef Grant and their crew delivered on an incredible as well as memorable event for our daughters wedding. Our guests comments focused on the food and service and how they liked every item at the wedding. The crew was incredible and really catered to customer service. I would strongly recommend the catering connection for any event. Phenomenal job!!!

It was a wonderful experience, the best chefs and the most attentive waiters turned our wedding dinner into a true royal event! Everything was better than perfect, the dishes were so tasty and looked so stylish, true art!

The Catering Connection did an absolutely splendid job on all aspects of our wedding catering. Allie and the staff were professional from start to finish. They had a challenging job because they could not get into our venue, the Waikiki Aquarium, until 5:15 p.m. and our guests started arriving at 6:00. They helped the Aquarium staff (who also did an awesome job) set up all the tables and chairs, and then they placed the linens and set up the bar area and buffet area and all the cooking equipment (since the aquarium has NO kitchen facilities). When we arrived, the venue looked beautiful and it was completely ready.

The food was delicious, which we had anticipated because we had enjoyed our tasting so much. The Catering Connection that given us Chef Nao as an option in providing the food. Two staff from the CC came to our tasting at Kahai Street Kitchen. Chef Nao and his staff did a great job and were very flexible in bringing us various options of foods and sauces and salad dressings, etc. We were very happy with those services.
Most of all, I have to talk about the SERVICE. It was outstanding! The staff was not only pleasant but they were always there to provide whatever was needed. I have no idea how, but each time I stood up from my chair (I was the bride), there was a staff person there to pull my chair out. Same when I returned. Every request was instantly fulfilled, although there were not many requests because they thought of everything before you needed it. I have to say that virtually every guest we have talked to since the wedding has mentioned how great the service was. I can't imagine it being better.

The price was not low but you get what you pay for and it was, altogether, quite reasonable for the quality of the services.

We had a completely happy experience and I would rate them a 5*. I would definitely use them and recommend them again.

I am an event designer and coordinator in NYC but when my best friend decided to get married she asked me to plan her wedding in Hawaii. Because I had never been to Hawaii it took a great deal of research to find her vendors she would love and I could trust.

After reaching out to several catering companies and doing a ton of research online I knew I had found the perfect catering company when I started corresponding with Lei at Catering Connection. She was professional, thorough and patient with my millions of questions. On the day of she went above and beyond. The entire catering team was friendly and simply amazing.

The food was outstanding. I have eaten a lot of off-premises catered food and it rarely tastes fresh. It always seems to look like it was prepared the day before. Catering connection was out of this world delicious. Fresh, beautiful and yummy. You must get the hand passed icecream treats (sorry Lei, I forgot the name of them already).

I highly recommend this company! And hope I get to work with them again sometime in the future.

What a fabulous team. caring, thoughtful and eminently flexible with ideas, dreams and themes.
Nothing was too much trouble and every little detail was catered for and addressed with utter professionalism. We came over from Australia for our wedding so these guys were just great to work with - phone, Skype and e-mails.

On the day the crew were there, quietly invisible but reacting to our and our guests every need and making it seem so effortless. An absolute delight to work with and I would recommend them to everyone and anyone planning a wedding or special occasion and require that extra little effort and skills to make it a memorable occasion and not just another event.

A great round of applause to Lei, Chief Sim and all the Catering Connection Team. My biggest concern pre-wedding was whether the quality of food (both taste, presentation and temperature) could be delivered in our outdoor setting. I have been to too many weddings where the food was overcooked and cold as it was prepared off site, then brought to the wedding in warming boxes. I was particularly concerned as we were serving fish and lamb chops, two items that can be easily overcooked if prepared too soon and placed in warming boxes. The Catering Connection met and exceeded my expectations. The food was prepared onsite so was just the right temperature and cooked to perfection, neither over or undercooked. The service was also exemplary, quiet, efficient and there right when you needed it. And the server dedicated to the bride and groom was icing on the cake. The Catering Connection and our contacts Lei and Sean were amazing. We did not have a wedding planner but the Catering Connection kept the day running smoothly. The Lighting and tables were beautiful. The food was so delicious and the service so attentive. Our guests had nothing but praise for the food and the staff. I would highly recommend the catering connection to anyone having a wedding big or small. They did a superb job and our wedding day was absolutely perfect.

After months of trying to get in contact with other caterers I finally found Paul at Catering Connection.
We were trying to organize our wedding from the Gold Coast Australia and finding it very difficult to get in-contact with anyone and time was running out with 2-3 months left till we were traveling for our wedding with 35 guests all flying from Australia.
We had our wedding on a property in Kaaawa and hired the wait staff, bar staff, tables, chairs, ovens etc and had our meals prepared on site. Everything was perfect.
The staff were incredible, they were happy, fun and very friendly which is sometimes hard to find at weddings.
The food was the best, our friends and family are still talking about how good the food was at our wedding. It was a risk not being able to go and taste or meet them before, but it was just perfect. We were so happy to have The Catering Connection make our day perfect.

I cannot say enough praises about the Catering Connection Staff, Lei, and Bruce. Planning a wedding in Hawaii from San Diego is LESS than convenient or easy. However, with the help of the catering connection, that process was made a lot easier. I worked mainly with Lei in the beginning and with Bruce the day of the wedding. They were both extremely nice, approachable, professional, prompt, and accommodating. On the day of the wedding, it rained the ENTIRE morning and the Catering Connection staff were on top of putting up the tents to ensure that our guests stayed nice and dry.

The wait staff that the Catering Connection employs is in my opinion the highlight of their services. All of our guests raved about how nice the staff was. Also, there was not a moment that passed where my husband and I did not have a fresh drink of our choice in our hand. This was the same for the rest of our guests. There was one moment in the night where I told a guest I was going to get a water and as I turned around, a staff member was standing there with a fresh, ice cold bottle of water. AMAZING!!!!

I really cannot say enough to thank the Catering Connection for all they did for me, my husband, and my family on the day of our wedding. I would recommend the Catering Connection over and over again with confidence!!!

The Catering Connection provides wonderful food and is not limited to what is on their menu. The event I organized involved high profile VIP's. When I asked for items not listed on the menu, the management team was very accommodating and even provided great suggestions. I highly recommend The Catering Connection, their people, food and service are all great.

Lei at The Catering Connection made sure everything was taken care of from beginning to end, and made sure to check on everyone during the reception. She even made the bride (me) a plate at the end since she knew I didn't eat during the reception. The entire staff was quick, funny, and on-point the entire reception. I'm definitely using The Catering Connection for any party I need professional help with. Bonus: they bring all the tables, chairs, linens, (even tents!) to the venue. Made my life easy.

From pre-planning to event day, no detail was missed! The team was very flexible and easy to work with. They worked with us to make the menu exactly what we wanted. Food quality and presentation were excellent. All the guests raved about the event.

Our amazing wedding planner had suggested that we hire serving staff to handle the serving aspect of our wedding reception so that our caterers and bartenders could focus on the food and bar. We didn't use The catering Connection as our Caterer but our planner had highly recommended The Catering Connection for our serving needs. Before I finished college I worked my way through school as a part-time waitress. Because I gave exceptional service I have found that I tend to expect it as well. Our wedding planner knew this and I am so glad that she referred us to The Catering Connection. It was the best decision we made!
The servers were so attentive and professional. I don't know what type of training their servers go through but they are truly top notch servers. I mean, I was impressed and like I previously mentioned I tend to expect a lot in regards to service. If you are looking for servers for your wedding the Catering Connection servers are highly recommended!

My wife was the one who did most of the planning between us and Lei Draper (our go to contact) and they were REALLY flexible with us. So flexible that I felt bad during the reception time...
Because neither of us had much money, we were constantly trying to cut down as much cost as possible and Lei was happy to oblige.
We also went down to check out where we would put the food and drinks only to realize on the wedding day that all of our seats won't fit.. We moved ALL the catering things to a different area and when they came, it was no problem for them. They just moved it to where we needed it.. no fuss, no question, just a simple move. I came apologizing to them and they all said, "Hey, don't worry about it. We're flexible."

They were a great option for the wedding.. no wonder why they are so well reviewed.

Planning a destination wedding was extremely stressful and the unknown of how everything would turn out gave me high anxiety! But The Catering Connection did a wonderful job at communicating and vividly explaining how the food + decor + set up would all turn out and man did they deliver that and then some!! The food was FABULOUS - it was all so good and not only that - but the service and servers were excellent! They were very personable...And that made my wedding day/reception Everything! CC was worth every penny we spent with them and I have no regrets - I would most definitley recommend them if you need catering services - for any event. And I would also use them again for other functions if there was an opportunity.

Catering Connection was fantastic throughout the wedding planning process. They were flexible about means of communication and about suggestions. I was able to plan the wedding I wanted and they helped me throughout the process. On the day of my event, everything was communicated to the staff which left little for me to worry about. The food was fantastic and all my guests raved about it. The staff were very friendly and professional. I worked with Vanessa who was GREAT! I highly recommend their services.

Lei worked closely with us prior to our wedding and provided us with many different food options. When deciding on a vendor, we tried contacting several places. Lei was the only one to respond to us in a timely manner and consistently. The price is high, but completely worth every penny. Initially, we had gone to a tasting based on what we selected. Chef Elmer's food is amazingly delicious and unique! At that tasting, Lei suggested we go to a tasting event that Catering Connections was hosting. We were so happy that we went because we ended up changing almost our entire menu. The saimin bar and luau pork egg rolls were a hit. And of course, the desserts were gone by the end of the night. Throughout the whole process, Lei was always available to answer any questions and accommodate us as best as possible.

We couldn't have been happier with Catering Connection. They were professional and honestly cared about our wedding.
My wife and I were worried that we wouldn't have time to eat, but they made sure we always had food and let us request which items we wanted off the menu before hand so there would be extra saved for us.

Catering Connection did a fantastic job of listening to what we really wanted for our wedding menu, which was a creative take on the local Hawaiian comfort food that I grew up with. They really went above and beyond with incredible dishes, even a live action malasada station! They were very flexible and even brought the tasting to my house when we had a short time to do all of our wedding meetings and made adjustments to our numbers at the last minute. They were sweet, professional, and delivered delicious food. I would highly recommend them to anyone in Hawaii!

We used the Catering Connection and couldn't be more pleased! We had so many compliments on the food from our guests and that is the highest praise you can get! Lei was wonderful to work with, her staff was great, and they even were very helpful when I needed to get ingredients for a guest with severe allergies. Great decision for my destination wedding!

First off, I am not sure if there is really anything I can say that can describe our satisfaction with The Catering Connection! They made our whole wedding experience completely smooth and stress free(besides some normal crazy bride stressing:-) But The Catering Connection is truly a one stop shop!! We really had no idea how good of a decision we were making at first going with them, until our first meeting with Ashley. She made us feel extremely comfortable and started taking care of details immediately. After we chose our menu, decor, and rentals, Vanessa worked closer with us on the timeline and details of the day. We chose to have them do our rentals, food, and day of coordination. The day of coordination is a definite must have!!! Looking back I can't even imagine how my day would've gone not having Ashley and Vanessa there taking care of all the details!

The food was great, exactly what we chose at our tasting. But what was even more impressive was the serving staff the day of the wedding! They were professional, polite, and personable to me and my guests! Definitely 5 star service!!

Their prices are very reasonable! We did lots and lots of research on companies for food and rentals, and the Catering Connections rentals always came in just a little bit lower than most on the island. They even ordered in a tent liner JUST FOR US!!!

Vanessa as our Day of Coordinator was at my hotel room bright and early at 9AM with our cinemaphotographer with a big smile and a Happy Wedding Day Hug!! :-) Throughout the whole day Ashley and Vanessa never stopped!! I did not get ONE phone call from a vendor with questions, and still to this day I don't know if anything went wrong, because I am sure if something did, Ashley and Vanessa took care of it, instead of bothering me and stressing me out!! They even picked up all of our rose petals BY HAND outside of our chapel to avoid us having to pay a $250.00 cleaning fee!! Their service went above an beyond!! Vanessa even sewed on a crystal that fell off my dress in the middle of my reception! Immediately after my ceremony they "created" a bustle on my dress for me(the one sewn in wasn't working!)

Once again, I don't really think I have words to explain how really amazing the company is! Just don't even think about it, they will take care of your every need!!

The Catering Connection were such a pleasure to work with. They created the most amazing feast for our wedding reception and a week later guests are still talking about how great the food was! The service was incredibly good, the people were so sweet and full of the aloha spirit. Can't thank you guys enough for making our wedding so memorable!!!

The Catering Connection went above and beyond their duties! The day before our wedding it was storming and our original location was outside (on the beach) and under a tent. They called to walk us through backup plans and offered a few different options. We found a new location and had to move our wedding the day before, which was stressful but I don't think there are other vendors that would care or go through the extra effort to ensure we had a fabulous wedding.

The day-of turned out to be perfect and although we were scrambling a bit in the morning to work with a new venue/layout - everything turned out beautifully. Every single staff member was extremely attentive and always had a smile. Our guests were impressed with not only the service provided but the food was excellent as well. They were simply amazing! :)

We were extremely satisfied with the food and service provided by the Catering Connection on our wedding day! We also received a lot of compliments from our guests that they were impressed about the delicious food and friendly and professional service!

On our wedding day, it rained until 10 am in the morning and it was very windy around noon. We were very worried about the weather as our wedding and reception were both outdoor. The Catering Connection came up with a plan B to have both the ceremony and reception under the tent in case of rain. In the end we were very lucky with the weather, but having the alternative plan B ready did help us to relieve some of the stress.

We had two tastings for our reception arranged by the Catering Connection and we picked Chef Grant Sim. He personally cooked for us on the day of the tasting. We selected some of the items we tasted and some that we didn't for our reception menu. All dishes were delicious! Our guests loved the food. We had a lot of kids at our wedding and we were pleasantly surprised that there was even a kid's menu. The kids loved it! The food at the buffet were plenty. We had quite some leftovers and they packed the food nicely for us to take home as well as a special box for the mother of the owner of the venue that we rented for our wedding who lives next door. The food was still so delicious even on the next day.

We also had Sushi bar at our reception. It was so popular that there was constantly a long queue.

The service was great! When our guests were taking their turn to get the food at the buffet, the waiters walked next to the kids, helping them to hold plates and get food. As bride and groom, we also got a plate of appetizers that we missed from the cocktail hour at the reception.

Thanks to the Catering Connection, we had a wonderful wedding!

Our outdoor reception had to quickly be relocated into the room we had set up for food and dinner. The catering connection guys were very quick to move the tables around and relocate the event indoors on the fly. Very professional on the quick change. Were able to set up additional table outside once it stopped raining and quickly fold up the chairs again when it started coming down again later. So thankful that I hired them and didn't just have family friends help out, things wouldn't have gone so smoothly without them!

Lei Draper was a joy to work with: professional, responsive, flexible. The buffet dinner at "The Night Before" for my son's wedding was delicious; the staff was first rate. Everyone had a relaxed fun evening, including my husband and myself.

The Catering Connection provided excellent food and service for our event. The event planner was helpful, responsive, and easily accessible during the planning stage, especially when I drastically upped the headcount at the last minute. Vanessa and the Catering Connection were awesome! They were very flexible in the fact that I provided much of my own supplies like plates, cups, silverware, alcohol, cupcakes, etc. They let me buy all the alcohol ahead of time and bring it by their office and they brought it to the reception for me. I bought cupcakes from another vendor and Vanessa was nice enough to set them up on the table. The service was very professional and the food (Chef Elmer Guzman) was AWESOME. I wish I could have eaten more! The staff was dressed for the occasion (I had a very casual wedding) although they do offer a more 'dressed up' look. The whole day went so smoothly and I owe it all to Vanessa! I would definitely recommend Catering Connection for any event. I am very glad I chose them over the "other guys."

The people from our wedding site recommended us The Catering Connection. They already put emphasis on how great their service was, so we couldn't ignore but contact them.
Prior to the day, we have exchanged emails so many times changing details till the last minute. I'm the typical worried-about-everything bride, but they blew me by providing the service way beyond our expectation.
Not only they make your set-up perfectly and take care of your guests, but they do care about YOU!

Maybe you feel that hiring a caterer costs so much, but you will know how much more they provide and deserve more of the price and our appreciation.

We had our wedding at Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute in September. Given that my wife & I live in Australia, planning an overseas wedding was quite daunting especially during the preparation & planning stage.
I cannot speak highly enough of Lei & her staff at THE CATERING CONNECTION. From the start their communication, menu options & general suggestions were exceptional. They should be proud of what they put together & the way they adjusted to a minor scenario that unfolded on the day (the change in weather from sun to tropical rain!)
Even with an hour of rain (which never happens) we were so happy with the event; the setup, the tasty food & the professional team of staff.
Their positive attitude, sincerity & professionalism really stood out.
They made sure we were relaxed & had everything under control, they made our day even more special.
I have already recommended them to my cousin who is also planning a wedding in Honolulu later this year.

The Catering Connection was amazing! We went with a menu by Chef Elmer Guzman, and our guests raved about all the food, especially the appetizers. I still have dreams about the crab cakes. The staff was amazing, especially Ryan and Kalani, who we had a great time talking story with. Their attention to detail was incredible- they always made sure that my husband and I had our drink of choice in hand, and they gave us a whole plate of appetizers before we ate dinner because we were taking pictures during most of the cocktail hour. Going with a vendor that did both catering and rentals made coordination really easy, and the day went off without a hitch.

Sarah was responsive throughout the whole planning process, and she made sure that our guests with a variety of dietary restrictions were accommodated. They had catered at our venue before, so Sarah knew just what to recommend for lighting and rental setup. My only complaint is that lighting wasn't included in our original quote, which was a $500 surprise after we signed the contract.

I recommend these guys 100%!

I have used many caterers throughout my career and for personal occasions. Using Catering Connection was, by far, the best experience I have ever had. The personalized attention, the small details and their ability to take off the pressure made it a perfect wedding day. Bruce and his staff are exceptional, and provided quality service and exceptional food...all for a very good value. The guests are still raving about the reception. Catering Connection knows how to do weddings, knows how to relieve the bride and groom (and families) of the pressure, and provide delicious food.

Lei, Vanessa and the staff of TCC definitely helped make our wedding a success! We hired them for rentals, wait service, and day-of-coordination. Leading up to our event was very hectic but Vanessa was soo accommodating and help take a lot of stress off of me. The wait staff did an amazing job, soo attentive and friendly!!
