The dream hairstylist and makeup artist for our wedding!

In preparing for our wedding, I was looking to streamline the planning process as much as possible and hoped that I could find a hairstylist and makeup artist through the same company. I couldn't have been luckier to find Mariel and the Bridal Artistry Co! From the trial to our wedding day, Mariel was so nice and easy to work with. She was responsive to the many questions I had, and flexible to changes I made from the trial, and I knew I was in the most capable hands. She styled both hair and makeup for myself (as the bride), my mother, and maid of honor and we all felt stunning. She flawlessly executed each style we requested, which were all different from each other, and our hair and makeup truly lasted all night. Through lots of happy tears at the ceremony, and a night of dancing, my hair and makeup looked and felt perfect!

everything was perfect!

Mariel absolutely worked her magic at our wedding this September! I chose her after my friend’s wedding, and she came highly recommended. I did a bridal trial with her a few months before our wedding, and it helped ease so much of my anxiety for the day of. I ended up changing basically everything between my trial and wedding day (hair due to the weight of my veil needing more of an anchor, and makeup because I wasn’t fully satisfied with what I originally thought I wanted), but she rolled with it and did such a beautiful job day-of. She listened to everything I wanted when it came to my makeup (I can be picky about a few things), and as long as you communicate what you did/didn’t like you can’t go wrong. She did both my hair and makeup and the makeup for my bridesmaids and mom, and brought along a secondary hair stylist (Tressa Hair) for everyone else’s hair. She is a bit pricier compared to some of the other HMU artists I looked at, but it was sooo worth it. She did an absolutely amazing job and everyone looked so beautiful and were so happy with the results. You don’t want to skimp on HMU for your wedding and I would hire Mariel all over again if I could!

Saving the day

After an unfortunate communication issue with the venue, Mariel and team jumped into action and got all the services done in ~4 hours for 8 girls. They were fast, efficient, friendly and did amazing work that lasted all night. And last but not least my fiance was so happy because he said I looked like myself even with all the makeup on. 5/5 stars and highly recommend!!

The BEST experience

I cannot recommend Mariel enough! She did my makeup for my wedding, along with my entire bridal party, and she made all of us feel so incredibly beautiful. She was able to create a natural, glowing look that still felt elevated and special. Love Mariel and her team!

I can’t recommend Mariel and the Bridal Artistry Co. team enough! From the moment I met her during my trail she was very professional and easy to work with. I had been between two hairstairs (an up-do or half up/half down) and she did both so that I could see how each looked. Along with that, my mom had been nervous about the makeup so she was able to do a trail with Mariel and she made it look so natural. On the day of, Mariel arrived with ample time to set up and we never felt rushed/stayed within the timeline that Mariel had helped put together. Overall, Mariel was so easy to work with and would recommend to anyone looking for a hair/makeup artist!

The Best Hair and Makeup Experience

I have nothing but great things to say about Mariel and her company. I first met Mariel in summer 2020 when she came to my parents’ house to do my family’s hair and makeup for my sister’s micro-wedding. She’s done my hair and makeup three times over the last four years including my wedding day.

Mariel is very personable. When we reconnected last year for my wedding, she was able to recall details about my life from 2020 and inquired about updates from me and my family. She made me feel like an old friend vs. a stranger.

She is also very timely, professional and efficient. The morning of my wedding we had a tight turnaround- all 10 women needed to be hair and makeup ready by noon. Mariel and her team arrived to my parents’ house at 7am on the dot and got straight to work. So many of my bridesmaids that have been in multiple weddings said that the Bridal Artistry’s hair and makeup was the best they’ve ever had.

Thank you so much Mariel for making me and my girls feel and look our best on my special day!

Love Mariel with Bridal Artistry Co!

Mariel was amazing in every possible way for our makeup on our wedding day. First, my trial run was great and she really listened to everything I asked for, while making the slight adjustments I requested. Then, we had to change our venue last minute and Mariel reached out for logistics, but also to check in with how we were doing with the whole mess of things. She was flexible and understanding with last minute changes and playing it by ear as we were making adjustments and figuring out how the day would go. Our makeup was done ahead of schedule and she really made me feel so beautiful on my day. All of us looked fabulous, highly recommend The Bridal Artistry Co.!

The best!!!

Mariel is simply the best!!! I gave her a few thoughts on my hair and makeup and she was able to translate that into exactly what I wanted. I received so many compliments throughout the day and both the hair and makeup lasted all night. 2019 Wedding and 2023 Baby Shower

When I got married in May 2019, Mariel did my hair & makeup and I loved the look she created! She was so great to work with from the initial contact to the day of the wedding. She was organized, kind, easygoing- exactly what I needed on my wedding day!

Fast forward to March 2023, I asked Mariel to do my hair and makeup for my baby shower and again found her to be so easy to work with. She knew exactly what to do and at 7 months pregnant, it gave me such a confidence boost. I got tons of compliments at the shower!

Stunning hair and makeup!

Mariel is incredibly talented! She is so passionate about her craft and she truly puts you at ease while preparing for your big day. Mariel is extremely organized, responsive, and prompt and it makes all the difference! She did my hair and makeup along with my mom, sister in law, and wiggly 4-year-old niece. We were so grateful for Mariel’s ability to naturally glam us all up! She used each of our inspiration pictures to create similar looks on us and they turned out better than we could have ever imagined! I had a non-traditional wedding ceremony on a Jersey City pier in December and even with the wind, our hair and makeup stayed in place all night long! simply the best.

Simply put: I am so happy I chose The Bridal Artistry Co. Prior to the wedding, all communication regarding pricing, the bridal trial, and day of planning felt easy and smooth. Mariel had to make a schedule to accommodate myself and 10 others. From the second Mariel and her two girls arrived (perfectly on time), they were ready to work, stayed on schedule, and also were just super enjoyable to be around. Nothing felt uptight or forced. I let my girls choose ANY hairstyle and makeup style and they accommodated each and every one. I have some picky girls, everyone was happy, and everyone still looked good several hours later. I was beyond happy with my hair and makeup, and it photographed better than I ever imagined. Logistically, having one vendor for both hair and makeup made everything from communication/coordination to payment/tipping easier. I believe her pricing was completely reasonable and if I were doing it again, I would use The Bridal Artistry Co. again. Thanks Mariel!

Best Wedding Hair/Makeup Experience

I was lucky enough to work with Mariel for my two weddings -- an intimate COVID minimony in 2020 and a full wedding last February, and she and her team were incredible. I had a large bridal party that had lots of strong preferences for hair and makeup, and Mariel and her team managed to make everyone happy and their most beautiful selves, all while staying on schedule. I couldn't recommend her more, she was one of the best vendors we worked with!

Truly an expert. A Type A Bride's DREAM.

Mariel was truly an expert. She took the time to give me a detailed walk through of how to prepare, what extensions to get, hair pieces, and a variety of looks. On the day-of, we had a number of last minute change-ups - I forgot to pre-wash my extensions and ended up deciding on my hair style that day, plus my sister's girlfriend ended up getting her hair done. She and her team were incredibly flexible and put me at-ease. They were also so nice about last minute touch ups and changes. My hair stayed and makeup stayed perfectly the entire night. Definitely recommend Mariel and her team - you can rest assured you will be in great hands!

Great experience, 100% recommend!

I was not the easiest bride when it came to hair and makeup, turns out I had a very particular vision and Mariel was so gracious and flexible in accommodating it! I don't know much about makeup and especially not bridal makeup, but Mariel was always patient with my ever-changing whims. I really felt like a princess at my wedding!

I love that Mariel does both hair and makeup---not only does that make all communications smoother, but I also think it makes it so she has a better understanding of your hair and makeup vision because she does them both.

My makeup stayed on ALL day, including my false lashes! This is major because I've experiences with other makeup artists where my false lashes came off after only a few hours. My hair also stayed in place the entire time.

My bridal party and I looked beautiful all day thanks to Mariel and her team!

Most Perfect Bridal Look I could Have Hoped for!!

Before working with Mariel, I had been a bridesmaid in a handful of weddings in the recent years so needless to say I was prepared with all the ways I did not want to look on my wedding day after so many trial runs in other people’s weddings. I’ve never been one for too much make up as I don’t love how it looks on me in real life but know how important it is for photos so striking the right balance would be no easy attempt but Mariel gave me exactly what I asked for (and avoided the very long list of things I did not want!) and more! Being as particular as I am, I even asked her to make some small changes the morning of the wedding from what she did in the trial and she nailed it. I was truly blown away and so incredibly happy with how subtle but glamorous she made my makeup and delivered the most perfect bridal ponytail that I had been dreaming up in my head but had never found a picture to capture exactly what I was thinking….until Mariel made it come to life. My day was truly in so many ways but best of all was not having to worry one bit about my hair or makeup - it lasted the entire day (and through A LOT of dancing), all making the entire experience perfect. I can’t recommend enough using Mariel for your wedding look - you will be beyond happy and have a great experience working with her. Thank you for everything Mariel!!!

Amazing, understanding & professional!

Wedding planning is super stressful, except for when you’re working with The Bridal Artistry Co. Mariel was so helpful and understanding from the first day I messaged her. It’s hard to find someone that will work with you to make sure your big day is perfect, but Mariel did just that! Due to COVID, we unfortunately had to reschedule our wedding and Mariel was so understanding and helped reschedule us right away! All of my girls loved her and Tressa, and we were all super happy with how our hair and makeup turned out! They were able to recreate everything the girls showed them from pictures and made it look even better! Everyone’s hair and makeup stayed up and together the whole night! Also side note: my husband was nice enough to smash the wedding cake directly in my face, and my makeup still stayed on even after clean up! Ha! Choose this group of girls to make your wedding day perfect! You won’t regret it!

Best vendor I worked with!

Mariel and her team are absolutely the best. I had three different wedding dates through Covid and she handled the changes with kindness and efficiency. I even changed my hair color and length and she accommodated me for a new hair and makeup trial! She made me and my girls feel gorgeous–seriously each of my bridesmaids have such unique looks and she made them look amazing and badass! The day of was so incredibly smooth. Her team was on time and they were SO fast. The makeup and skin care that she used was super high quality and I cannot say enough how cautious she was to make sure everything was disinfected between each girl (I've been seriously grossed out by other H&MU artists in the past). To finally wrap up on how amazing she is, my husband was in a bike accident a month before our wedding and she jumped in last minute to help cover the scar on his face right before the photos started. Mariel, thank you for making my wedding the day I always dreamed of. Would not have been the same without you!

Great experience!

Mariel was wonderful to work with from start to finish. As a Covid bride, I had to reschedule my wedding several times, and she was super flexible and accommodating as plans changed. She is easy to communicate with and worked side by side with my photographer to ensure hair and makeup was completed on schedule for my big bridal party and my mom, stepmom and MIL. Mariel gave me the wedding updo of my dreams!

Mariel was amazing to work with from my trial hair session to the day of the wedding. She communicated with me multiple times leading up to the wedding day in order to make sure logistics were in place for the day to run smoothly. On the day, she did the hair of 7 people all by herself and everyone looked incredible! My bridal hairdo lasted all night, through dancing and everything, and looked as flawless by the end of the night as it did when the event began. Mariel executed my wedding hair dreams and vision ten times over and I would highly recommend her to any brides out there looking for a stress-free experience with not only a very talented, but also a very kind, flexible, and patient stylist!

Fantastic Work!

I would highly recommend the Bridal Artistry Company to take care of your wedding day needs. Mariel was excellent to work with from the start, even with my two wedding postponements. On the day of she and Andrea provided amazing service to myself, 3 bridesmaids and my mother. I did not feel any stress whatsoever that day and a lot of that definitely had to do with Mariel. She was a calming energy that was super easy to work with and the schedule she had sent me a few days prior was definitely adhered to. My bridesmaids loved that we got to sleep in in the morning while also having some time from when she finished with us to when we needed to actually be ready. I’m not someone that wears a lot of makeup and Mariel did an amazing job making me feel beautiful while still feeling like myself. Thank you Mariel!

Look no further!

Mariel is a ROCKSTAR. My husband and I had cancelled our original wedding plans and decided to get married in an intimate wedding ceremony with our immediate families on Thanksgiving with a bigger celebration with family and friends the following Labor Day. Mariel was extremely accommodating and agreed to my request to have my trial be the day of the intimate ceremony. It was just the two of us for most of that morning and I honestly felt like I was hanging out with an old friend….an old friend who was able to make my hair and makeup look flawless, that is. When I had decided to go for a different look for the wedding celebration, I was torn on wearing my hair up or down. Mariel talked me through both styles and provided her honest and professional opinion on what she thought I should do.. I went with her suggestion and it was the best decision I could have made. (PSA: if Mariel suggests a ponytail, WEAR A PONYTAIL) On the day of the wedding, I was so blown away by my hair and makeup that I actually teared up when I saw myself. My bridesmaids also looked absolutely stunning – everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup that they’re still talking about how good of a job Mariel and Dara did weeks later. Mariel is by far one of the best hair and makeup artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Not only is she extremely talented, but she has an awesome personality that brings a calm and fun energy to what can often be an emotionally packed day. I am so thankful to have been able to book her for both weddings and I could not recommend her enough!!

I felt like a showstopper!

From start to finish Mariel was SO wonderful. Before I even got to meet her I was so impressed with how accommodating, responsive, and kind she was! Obviously the post-pandemic wedding rush has all these wonderful vendors stretched thin and working non-stop, but Mariel was so attentive and truly cared about her client’s overall experience, not just hair and makeup and I was so thankful for that!

Totally Worth Every Penny!

I initially hesitated on booking my hair and make-up services after I got engaged because the prices scared me a little at first! As I dug deeper into the work of the vendors I was contemplating, I really felt like Mariel and her team were worth it. While Mariel was already booked up for my wedding day, she sent me Lexie and Charlotte who were an amazing team.

I did my trial with Lexie and Charlotte in the summer of 2019 (for an originally planned May 2020 wedding). But, due to covid, we ended up postponing TWICE. And Mariel helped me each time to coordinate with Lexie and Charlotte to ensure we were all set for our new wedding day. Finally in May 2021, I was able to get married. Lexie and Charlotte were punctual, professional, fun, and such a calming presence in our getting ready room. And they made me, my bridesmaids, my mom, and my FMIL look INCREDIBLE (and they did it ahead of schedule!). Flawless hair/makeup for your wedding day!

Mariel is an absolute delight to work with. I had trouble finding a hair/makeup vendor that would respond to inquiries. From the very beginning, Mariel was a true professional, extremely responsive to my emails and my questions. When it came time to my bridal trail, she consulted with me and made sure understood the vision I was going for. She executed on my vision to perfection. I also appreciated how she took wonderful care of my mom, my mother-in-law, and all my bridesmaids. She went to extra mile to ensure my mom selected the right brand/color for hair extensions. On my wedding day, everyone's hair/makeup stayed perfectly all the way through our after party. I also highly recommend Mariel's all day beauty package. She stayed a couple of extra hours through some initial photos to fix my hair, re-apply my lipstick, and make sure my dress/veil were laying perfectly for photos. Her attention to detail and helpfulness was especially appreciated as wedding days can get chaotic. I've already recommend Mariel to a friend who recently got engaged and will be planning a wedding for 2022/2023.

Extremely satisfied!

Mariel did my hair and makeup for my wedding in August, 2020. I originally was supposed to get married in May, but due to covid i had to reschedule my wedding and the original hair and makeup I booked wasn't available. I found Mariel online and instantly loved her work!! When I reached out she was so professional and responsive and came to my house to do a hair/makeup trial for my mother like literally the next day which saved me so much stress and so much time. I am so happy she came to us. She was organized, on time, and great with everything! My hair and makeup came out AMAZING and stayed throughout the night!! I did NOT wake up like this. It was Mariel!

I was nervous asking her to do my hair/makeup for my Engagement Shoot/Legal Ceremony without having a trial, but her work was PERFECTION. She was flexible and available to come into Manhattan first thing in the morning even though power had been out for multiple days all over the North East due to bad storms. Her cleanliness and professionalism made me feel super safe in her hands during the pandemic. She wore a mask, face shield and kept her space and tools pristine. She executed a beautiful natural look that stood up to sweat and humid weather. I'm so happy to know the magic Mariel can create and am looking forward to having her do my make up for my postponed wedding day next year.

I had the pleasure of working with Mariel as a bridesmaid before I was a bride and knew when my day came there was no one who would make me feel more beautiful than Mariel!

When Covid-19 hit, Mariel was so great with all the changes and 100% supportive of us continuing with our date! Before my trial and our wedding day, Mariel was amazingly transparent of her sanitary process and in-person precautions she would be taking which made myself and all my girls feel extremely safe.

I am so grateful for my trial with Mariel because she talked me out of what I said I wanted in the best way possible! She talked with me in length and asked a bunch of questions before even touching my hair/face and that is where she heard everything I wanted would make me feel uncomfortable. So with many pictures and actually listening to me, she created what made me feel like the most beautiful, and comfortable, bride!

Day of, Mariel was the REAL MVP of my wedding day! We unexpectedly got extremely behind the morning of the wedding but Mariel worked her incredible magic to keep us on track. Not only did she make me feel like the most beautiful bride inside and out but she was a listening ear when things got hectic, she opened the door of the church for me when no one was there to do so, she was my "posing" coach which I desperately needed and was always there to fix my hair/make-up/dress when needed.

I highly, highly recommend the VIP package with Mariel if you are a fellow Covid-19 bride who needed to switch their wedding outdoors to comply with guidelines. Throughout the day Mariel curled my hair multiple times to ensure it was not falling for photos. She was also there to touch up and help my girls as needed and it was so worth it!

I am normally my own worst critic when looking at photos of myself but because of Mariel, I have scrolled through my wedding photos and can confidently say I felt and looked beautiful the day of my wedding and am forever grateful to her for that!

Mariel was incredible to work with! She made me feel like my absolute best self on my wedding day. My hair is admittedly difficult to work with because it never holds a style for long. On that day my hair was absolutely perfect. It looked sleek and sophisticated (just how I wanted) and didn't move a smidge all day long. Highly Recommend

Mariel was a joy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. From our initial trial it was clear that she cared deeply about her clients, the quality of her work, and making sure that brides feel confident on their special day. Mariel went above and beyond helping us navigate the COVID-19 crisis. At a time when we were both very stressed (my husband works at a hospital in NYC), Mariel was easy to work with. She gave us her availability for 2021 and we worked together to secure a new date for our celebration without any additional fees.

I was lucky that Mariel was available for our minimony in August 2020. She showed up at my parent’s house bright and early with all the necessary precautions in place (mask, gloves, etc.) and worked with my 2 sisters, mom and I to have us looking beautiful on time for the ceremony.

During the wedding planning process (especially during these crazy times) you want vendors in your corner who are willing to roll with the punches, stand by your side, and make your experience as fluid as possible. Mariel was that vendor for us. I can’t recommend her services enough and am excited to work with her again next August!

amazing! We had to move our wedding date like so many. Easy to work with & amazing hair/makeup!

Mariel did a really amazing job! I had originally hired her for my August 2020 wedding, but we ended up postponing for 2021 and doing a minimony in July. We threw together the minimony plans really last minute, but Mariel was able to be really flexible in fitting me in early in the morning before the event. She has also been really understanding in working with us for the postponement.

I showed her the photos of what I wanted my hair and makeup to look like and it came out even better than what I had ever imagined. I can't recommend her enough!

Amazing Experience

Mariel was wonderful to work with for my wedding in October of 2019! I found her by searching on The Knot and was happy with her positive reviews and transparent pricing. I had a hair and makeup trial with her. Mariel made me feel comfortable and was very helpful talking through and trying out my different ideas. On my wedding day Mariel did a fantastic job on my makeup and she helped me make a last minute change to my bun adding more curls and volume which turned out better then I could have imagined. Enhance your natural beauty !

You want to be beautiful on your wedding day. You have a vision of yourself walking down the aisle. The pressure is on to prepare yourself for the photos that you will have for the rest of your life. As someone that does not know the first thing about makeup, it was the part that made me most nervous. I wanted to go for a really natural look so I would still feel like myself but enhanced. That is precisely what Mariel did. She was the most responsive and professional out of anyone I've ever worked with before. I showed her pictures of what I liked and honestly, she surpassed my expectations that were already high looking at her profile. She magically turns you into the best version of yourself. Mariel also did the hair and makeup for my mom and my friends. They were super super happy with the results. Beautiful work and such a fun experience!

Right from beginning, Mariel was responsive and helpful in trying to figure out the look I wanted for my wedding day. We changed my hair from the trial to the wedding day and I received so many compliments.

Amazing hair & make up!

Mariel and Jacque were absolutely amazing! Stunning Hair and Makeup

I cannot thank Mariel and her team enough for the amazing job they did on my wedding day. Mariel was so easy to work with and made getting ready effortless on the big day. The whole process was convenient because she traveled to my home for the trial and to the venue. My wedding day was the hottest day in July (100 degrees!) and my pictures and ceremony were outside. My makeup and hair looked stunning from the first look to the end of the reception. I did not have to touch up anything! My mother and bridesmaids were so impressed with the way Mariel and her team catered to them. Amazing team!

Mariel and her team were THE BEST!

Prior to finding Mariel, I had received two hair trials and a makeup trial with other vendors and I was extremely disappointed. Neither of them could really nail down my vision- the hair was all wrong and the makeup was 'too much' and 'too cakey'. When I first contacted Mariel, it was just to get a hair trial done. She did such a great job and I was so impressed that I agreed to also receive a makeup trial that day. I looked in the mirror and I breathed a sigh of relief. FINALLY, someone got it right. Needless to say, she was hired on the spot.

The day of my wedding was perfect. Mariel organized a schedule and arrived with a team to ensure we would be ready by the time the photographers arrived. They were able to keep up with the schedule and it went very smoothly! Every bridesmaid was happy with how they looked and was so impressed. I did not hear one complaint from any girl about not liking their makeup or hair, and that's very rare, so that's how you know Mariel's team is AMAZING!

As a bride, I cannot stress enough how important it is to find a team that really listens to what you want and what you're envisioning for yourself and your girls. Don't settle for a team that is going to do the opposite of what you want. It's YOUR day and Mariel and her team understand that. I would recommend Mariel to any bride! Again, they were AMAZING and the best!

Wonderful experience!

Mariel was wonderful! I did a trial with her many months before my wedding so I could nail down exactly what I wanted for the wedding day. She really listened to what I wanted for my hair and makeup and gave me exactly the look I was going for.
Day of, she arrived with another hairstylist, on time and finished my bridesmaids (5), my mother and myself all on time. Everyone including myself was super happy with the way their hair and makeup came out. I had a flower clip my florist created for me which I didn't have for my trail but Mariel worked that in beautifully.
Highly recommend working with Mariel and her team. Throughout the planning process, she was always very helpful when a change came up and got back to me in a timely manner.

Fabulous Stylists!

If you're looking for the dream team, look no further than Bridal Artistry Co. - Mariel and her team are the most talented artists working in our area. I had a large booking (13 ladies!) each one of them particular and each one of them thrilled with their look for the day. Their easy going, fun, but professional nature put everyone at ease knowing we were in excellent hands.
Not only did Mariel and her team have us looking stunning, they kept us right on schedule so everyone was ready to go when the photographer arrived.
I rarely wear makeup and was nervous about how to style for my wedding day. Mariel helped me achieve the most natural look, I felt extremely confident and quite honestly, beautiful. Amazing Experience!

Amazing experience working with Mariel and her team on my wedding day!

Mariel and her team were amazing to work with for my wedding! Mariel makes the hair and make-up trial so convenient, coming to your house on a date of your choosing. During the trial, she really took the time and had the patience to make sure my hair and make-up came out exactly how I had envisioned it. In between the time of the trial and the wedding, Mariel was always so prompt in responding to any questions that I had about the whole process. She also sent me wedding-day hair and make-up tips that were super helpful in getting all of my bridesmaids prepared for the wedding day. The morning of the wedding, Mariel and her team arrived on time and ready to go. She was so organized, creating a timeline for my many bridesmaids to get their hair and make-up done, which made the morning that much less stressful. Her team pulled off all types of looks to please my bridesmaids as well as the mothers, whether it was a more natural or glam look, updos, half-up, or all down. Her team was friendly, easy-going, organized, and timely - it was such a great experience working with them. Natural and beautiful

Finding someone to do my makeup for my wedding day was one of the more stressful parts of planning my wedding. I am not one to wear makeup and I wanted to make sure I looked like myself on my wedding day-natural, but the enhanced. Mariel made me feel so comfortable at my trial and completely understood my vision. When it came to my wedding she was the best! I felt like the best version of myself without looking like I had a face full of makeup on. Also, she was able to get makeup on my mother who does not wear any makeup and was very hesitant to get it done. She made her feel so comfortable and beautiful! Mariel is the best and I would choose her again every time!

Awesome hair & make-up!

Mariel is awesome. I really wanted a natural look and was so nervous about being able to achieve that while still looking like a bride. Mariel nailed it. She was able to exactly re-create the look we agreed to in the trial and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

Loved Mariel!

Mariel and her crew did a wonderful job. They were very relaxed and "zen" during what was otherwise a hectic morning and she was very open to my input about how I wanted to look. I had a particularly tough situation in that all of my photos were at night and/or indoors (winter city church wedding), and I thought the makeup transitioned really well without looking thick and gross in the few photographs that we did get in natural light.

My Wedding Vision Turned Reality!

Narrowing down my search for hair and makeup wasn’t easy, there are so many great companies out there. But when I came across The Bridal Artistry Co, I was instantly impressed with their content and style. And when I reached out, my inquiry was responded to quickly by the owner, Mariel, with all of the information I needed. She made the process very smooth - we sorted out all the details of the contract over email and she traveled to me for the consultation, which was incredibly helpful given I was in the middle of a busy time with wedding planning. I loved my consultation with Mariel, I felt so comfortable working with her and knew she was going to make my bridal vision a reality.

The day of the wedding was seamless. Mariel organized the schedule and was flexible where I needed to make adjustments. She was right on time and did an absolutely beautiful job with me and my bridal party! I could not have been happier with the results, Mariel understood everything I wanted for the overall look and recreated my vision perfectly. She was flexible to stay as well and helped me touch up before I walked down the aisle. Better yet, it held up all night, and we did NOT hold back on the dance floor, or the after party!

I could not imagine my wedding day without all of the wonderful people who brought my vision to life, and want to extend a HUGE thanks to the Bridal Artistry Co for doing just that. I 1000% recommend Mariel and her team...they are simply amazing!!!

Beautiful work and great attention to detail!

I couldn't be happier with my decision to work with Mariel and her team for my wedding day. I don't generally spend a lot of time thinking about hair and makeup, all I knew was that I wanted a simple, elegant look. Mariel captured my vision perfectly - for both the trial and the day of.

In the weeks leading up she gave great direction about picking the perfect lip color and was also really organized and accommodating when it came to adding more bridesmaids, moms, sisters, etc. to the schedule, making sure that we had plenty of time to make everyone look great. Overall, beautiful work and attention to detail - a really great experience - I would highly recommend choosing Mariel/Bridal Artistry.

There is no one better

Mariel is absolutely amazing! In my trial she was super helpful - she listened to all my thoughts/worries/questions/concerns and was extremely reassuring and so clearly focused on making sure I was going to look my absolute best on the big day. Also, I was incredibly impressed with how quickly she could change my look. When she first put on my eyeshadow in the trial I felt like the color was off. It took her ONLY FIVE MINUTES to completely change the color (didn't remove the make up or anything ). And it was spot on to what I wanted. This was the biggest reason I knew I had to book her - she was totally cool with my feedback, and then was a magician about the change. I knew then and there that she could handle anything on the big day - across the whole group.

Leading up to the day I kept having adding more and more people to my group getting hair/makeup done. With just a two week notice, she was able to accommodate everyone and was so sweet about each change.

When the big day came, she knocked it out of the park. My hair and makeup could not have been more perfect. She got my giant group through the whole thing on schedule. And my hair stayed in place ALL day, even through 2 hours of outdoor photos with really big gusts of wind. I could not believe it.

She's awesome. You'll be in great hands.

Everyone looked beautiful!!

Mariel was AMAZING. I felt comfortable with her from the moment we met for my trial. She was quick to reply to my original inquiry email, asked for a few photos and made the process simple and easy. I was very happy with the trial, but did ask for a few changes, which she easily agreed with. She was attentive and provided an organized schedule a few weeks before our wedding day-- one less thing that I had to worry about. On our wedding day, the team was great!! They were on time, organized, clean and prepared. My mother, MIL, Aunt and Bridesmaids all looked beautiful. My hair and makeup looked even better than my trial. I received so many compliments on my own hair and makeup, as well as my bridal party. Everyone looked beautiful. Perfect hair and makeup!

I had one previous hair and makeup trial before contacting Mariel and her team, and had a terrible experience (I looked nothing like myself), so it was such a relief when Tara and Charlotte totally nailed the natural, romantic look I was going for on the trial.

On the wedding day itself, they were on time, and actually finished my bridesmaids and female family members earlier than was scheduled, which I can't imagine happens often. They were super chill and fun to talk to, which was a great way to start off the day. My makeup stayed on the entire night and my hair (and the flowers in it!) was perfectly in place until it was finally time to take out all the bobby pins around 3am - couldn't ask for more!

Most Beautiful Version of Yourself

I am so glad I chose The Bridal Artistry Co. for my wedding makeup! I was very confused and torn about who to work with for makeup because beauty is such a personal thing and such a big deal for the wedding day... but as soon as I started chatting with Mariel, I was put at ease. Mariel is incredibly responsive, organized, and flexible - which made planning very easy. When we had the initial trial, Mariel's team (Jacqui for makeup and Tressa for hair style) came to my home and blew me away with their talent. I was IN LOVE with both my hair and makeup on the first try, which put me so at-ease for the big day. On the day of the wedding, I had a big group that needed beauty - myself, 8 bridesmaids, 2 moms and 2 grandmas - and The Bridal Artistry Co. handled the large group WITHOUT A HITCH! In fact, they even ran ahead of schedule! Jacqui, Tressa, Charlotte and Tara all did a fabulous job and the entire group looked the most fabulous I had ever seen them. I felt so beautiful and that really helped make me feel comfortable / calm my nerves down. I felt like I looked like the best version of ME, not just layers of makeup. Mariel and her team were awesome. During the trial the the stylists (Jackie and Corinne) listened to what I wanted and executed perfectly and effortlessly. They day of my wedding Mariel, and her team (including Jackie and Corinne) arrived at my house to style 9 ladies. They arrived on time and made sure we were on schedule to the min. Being someone who doesn’t wear a lot of make-up, I was very concerned about finding the right mix between looking natural and adding something extra for my wedding day. I found Mariel and her team on a recommendation from a friend and they were nothing short of amazing! They were able to help me find exactly what I wanted! Dina, Corinne and Charlotte made getting myself (and my group of 9 girls) ready super easy and fun. Mariel was the first and only person I contacted for my wedding hair and makeup. I had a destination wedding in NYC, so I was unable to do a trial before my big day. I put all my faith in Mariel and her amazing team, sight unseen, and I’m so glad I did! She is so talented that she and I were able to discuss my hair and makeup style the day of the wedding, and she pulled off everything off flawlessly. I felt like Mariel made me look like a better version of myself, and all of her work photographed beautifully (photography by Sam Coba Photography). Another thing I really appreciated about Mariel and her team was their flexibility. I had to add two hair appointments the day of and she accommodated them with no complaints. Finally, my bridal party and I had an absolute blast getting ready the day of, and if I could give her more than five stars I would. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

I don't even know where to begin with this review because Mariel and her team were just that amazing! She and her team are incredibly talented and I got so many compliments on the day of my wedding on how great my make up was! I am not a big makeup fan in general and Mariel made me look natural yet glamorous where I looked special but not overly done or where people couldn't tell I was wearing makeup. My hair was even better than I could have ever imagined and I still can't believe how good Mariel made me look. Also, they were so much fun to hang out with and were just so positive and lovely to spend time with while preparing for the wedding. If only I had another event to go to so I could use her services again!

Mariel was the perfect choice for my Central Park wedding! Mariel was an absolute pleasure to work with. When I first met Mariel she took the time to get to know me and all about my big day! She really listened to what I envisioned for my “princess” wedding and she incorporated everything that I wanted. I wanted my makeup to look natural. I have very sensitive and fair skin, and I was so nervous that my makeup would look unnatural and caked on for my big day. Mariel perfectly matched my skin tone with the make-up and I never broke out! The day of the wedding Mariel got to the hotel before me, and she helped ease all my pre-wedding jitters. Mariel and her team were absolutely amazing. I got married in June, 2018 and my entire wedding party looked perfect. Her team produced exactly what each of my girls asked for and our hair and makeup stayed all day in 85 degree heat with high humidity. Every looks amazing in our photography! They were organized, on time, and honestly super fun to hang out with for 4 hours. We had 12 women get their hair and makeup done and despite that they were ahead of schedule for most of the day. Mariel even stayed an extra half hour to help me into my dress and fix my hair once I was in it. I can't recommend them enough!!

I loved working with Mariel for my wedding. During the trial she made me feel very comfortable and really listened to the look I was going for. Mariel was incredible to work with for my wedding! She was willing to do trial sessions for not only me but my mother and mother-in-law, and was incredibly patient and helpful as we worked through hair styles. Mariel and her team were AMAZING. They were professional, fun and efficient! All of my bridesmaids were so happy with their hair and make up. I did a trial with Mariel for my engagement pictures and she was a joy to work with. I completely changed my mind about my hair a few days before the wedding and Mariel was able to bring my vision to life the day of. I highly recommend her and her team for your wedding day :)

Mariel is hands down the best! It is no surprise why her team won the 2018 Couple Choice Award. Mariel and her team handled the hair and make-up for me and my (large!) bridal party. From the initial communication to the hair and makeup styling they were pros. She even encouraged me to create a pinterest board to brainstorm in advance, which was super helpful and thoughtful. Leading up to the wedding, Mariel was consistently providing tips such as bringing my own lipstick on the day of so that I can feel fresh throughout the night! I would recommend anyone to Mariel who is hoping to feel fabulous on their special day. Look no further!

For a bride, hair and make-up can be one of the more stressful parts of the wedding. Mariel and her team were incredible to work with and made the glam for me and my bridesmaids easy and stress-free. Mariel is professional, accommodating and very responsive. I worked with Jacqui and Jess for my trial and day-of glam and they were both lovely to work with. Throughout the trial they were patient, attentive and listened to my specific requests. They nailed the look I was going for and the trial went so well that I requested them for my rehearsal dinner glam as well. On the morning of the wedding they were right on time and made me, my bridesmaids and our mothers feel at ease. Everyone looked stunning and couldn’t stop raving about Jacqui and Jess. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and I have Mariel and her team to thank! If you’re lucky enough to work with her you won’t be disappointed.

Mariel and her team are amazing to work with! She listened to and delivered on everything I wanted for both hair and makeup. My bridesmaids, mom and mother-in-law were extremely happy with their hair and makeup and the pictures look gorgeous. My sister even commented she liked her makeup on my wedding day better than on her own wedding day! Mariel was extremely responsive, organized and accommodating throughout the entire process. She makes you feel at ease and was a calming and welcome presence during our getting ready process. She really cares that you’re happy with the service and was even helping with my dress and my mom’s dress at some point during the morning! I would 100% highly recommend Mariel and her team.

Mariel had come highly recommended by a friend of mine who worked with Mariel for her wedding too- and I am so glad I listened to her! Mariel her team did an AMAZING job with hair and makeup for my wedding this past October. I had a very large group of women wanting hair and makeup done at the hotel we were staying at --myself, my mother and mother in law, six bridesmaids, and two flower girls -- a pretty daunting task! But Mariel and her team made everyone look amazing while keeping perfectly on schedule too- we were not a minute behind! All of the women and girls were so happy with how their hair and makeup turned out- the team really listened to what each woman wanted and took into account their personal style. Mariel personally really helped me to have fun and remain calm on the wedding morning, when I was very nervous! In addition to being super talented, she is a truly sweet person who cares about making sure her brides have a great day. That really meant a lot to me. And her work is amazing- I had done a trial with Mariel several months before the wedding and knew right away that I wanted to work with her. She listened to what style I wanted- hair up in a messy bun type style, relatively natural looking makeup in bronzy colors- and executed it perfectly. And she replicated that perfectly on the wedding day too- I was so happy with how everything turned out; I truly looked and felt like myself with a bit more glam for such a special day I highly recommend Mariel and her team – you cannot go wrong working with her!

Mariel and her team were the perfect bunch to help accentuate the beauty of my bridal party. Before the big day, Mariel made it a point to answer all (there were a lot) of my questions. The at home trial went well, and I switched up my hair choice shortly before my wedding day but Mariel did not miss a beat. She even answered my calls to ask silly questions about random beauty items like extensions. She's extremely organized which I appreciate so much, and her entire team is great. She easily handled a group of 13 (bride, maids, MIL & flower girl)! I am so happy Mariel and her team were there for me!

I first had my hair and makeup done by Mariel a few years ago at a friend's wedding. I felt so confident (and got SO many compliments) that I knew right away I wanted to use her for my wedding. She was very easy to communicate with and responded very promptly to e-mails. At the trial, she took all of my requests into consideration while also offering her own advice on what would work best for me. Prior to the wedding, all of the information regarding payment and our day-of schedule was laid out so there was no confusion on my actual wedding day. With so many aspects of wedding planning that were stressful, this was one area that was totally worry free.

On my wedding day, Mariel and her assistant showed up right on time and hit the ground running. They listened to everyone's requests and made adjustments where they were necessary. All of my bridesmaids and my mother were so happy with their looks! I asked for a completely different style for my eye makeup, which Mariel provided - but then had no qualms about completely redoing after I hated it (thank you!). Mariel and her assistant stuck around for touch-ups until the last minute when pictures were starting, which everyone appreciated. All of our hairstyles and makeup remained picture-perfect well through the day and night. Some of my favorite pictures of my hair were from the after party!

I am extremely happy with my decision to use Mariel and her team for hair and makeup services. She is so easy to talk to and laid back while also remaining professional. She listens to what you want and really delivers. I have never felt more beautiful, or received more compliments, than when she's done my hair and make-up. You won't be disappointed!

Mariel was a perfect find! She is professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about her job. I was worried about getting my hair done for my wedding day because I had never had an up-do I actually liked. I was also worried about the make-up being "cake." So I went to her house for a trial with my mom and sister - she listened to what I wanted & I really liked how knowledgeable she was about the products. On the other hand, I thought the foundation was too heavy and I didn't love my hairstyle, so I decided to go for a second trial. After the second trial I left feeling confident choosing her to be my make-up and hairstylist for my wedding for 2 reasons -- I was confident she would be able to change a hair style on the spot if she needed to & her second make-up application was perfect (not too much!) Her services included: hair trial, make-up trial, on-site services, bridal party hair & make-up, bridal hair with extensions & bridal make-up with false eyelashes. I am really glad I chose Mariel & her team for my wedding day -- I absolutely loved my hair & makeup and it lasted all night!!

Mariel was everything I hoped for in a makeup artist/hairstylist - prompt, easygoing, and talented! She is extremely responsive and organized. It was such a relief to not have to stress out about getting glammed up on the day of; I knew I could count on her to be there on time. She even kindly helped my mom quickly fix her hair. Mariel is amazing! I have no problem admitting that I am EXTREMELY particular/picky/indecisive and Mariel was a literal goddess on my wedding day. She was patient, honest, and dealt with my crazy so gracefully. In addition to being awesome at hair and makeup, she's also just super amazing to chat and hang out with. Mariel and two of her team did makeup and hair for me and 10 others on my wedding day, we all looked fabulous! mariel is so talented and she did everything just how I imagined it. Mariel was fantastic! I was nervous and picky when selecting a makeup artist to work with for my wedding, especially since my skin is sensitive. Mariel created exactly the hairstyle and natural makeup look I wanted! It looked beautiful in person on the big day this April, and looks great in the photos which last forever. She picked exactly the right colors for my complexion! Working with Mariel was a pleasure. It was extremely easy to get in touch with her, and she's very timely. It's amazing to work with someone as talented and reliable as Mariel. A big "thank you!" to Mariel for helping me look and feel my best on such an important occasion!

Mariel and her team were incredible! Leading up to the event, Mariel was very easy to communicate with about timing, details, and looks for the wedding. A few days before the big day I was so upset when my skin started to break out, but Mariel was somehow able to make my skin look flawless. Everyone in my bridal party looked beautiful, and Mariel's team was able to tailor the hair and makeup styles based on how each person wanted to look, which made everyone so happy. Thank you Mariel!
