Wy wife and I chose the Ballantyne for our wedding venue. It was truly the best decision we could have made for our wedding day. We worked with Claudia Long for the preparation and the process was nothing but smooth and stress free. She played such a large role in putting together the most memorable evening for us. Between the welcome party, ceremony, and reception, things could not have gone better. The staff at the Ballantyne are professionals. They provided the most hospitable environment for our guests and allowed us to have best day without any worries of what was going on around us. The Ballantyne and its staff are amazing and the campus and hotel are beautiful. Also, the food was incredible. We received so many compliments on the venue for a multitude of reasons. We highly recommend them to anyone on the fence on where to host their wedding. You will not regret it!

From start to finish my wedding at the Ballantyne was a dream come true. It took a bit to time to figure out where we wanted our wedding, they have so many options! My wedding was everything I wanted, the food was great as was the service. My friends and family loved staying at the hotel, we all did a spa day the day before which was perfect.

Jon and I got married here on 10/1 and we cannot thank the Ballantyne and their staff enough for the wonderful experience. They went the extra mile to make sure our day went smoothly and felt special! Highly recommend The Ballantyne.

The Ballantyne Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed how easy they made the whole process and we had an amazing time. What we enjoyed the most was that guests were able to stay on site which made the whole weekend so much fun! All our family and friends were staying in the same resort which made the weekend that much more exciting. All the food was delicious and portion sizes were perfect. Our guests were full of compliments over the cocktail hour and dinner selections! The staff working our wedding were also fantastic, they did an excellent job in ensuring all guests received the proper dinner entrée and were very courteous! If we were to do it all over again, we would still choose Ballantyne for our wedding ceremony and reception! It was an incredible weekend!

I decided to have my wedding at The Lodge at Ballantyne. I could not have asked for a more perfect experience! I wanted a weekend retreat that felt personal and intimate, and that is exactly what I got. Our party had the whole Lodge from Friday evening to Sunday morning, which allowed me to slow down and take in the whole experience. The food was beyond incredible and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We booked Hannah as our day-of-coordinator and it was the best decision ever. She is extremely friendly, prompt in her responses, anticipated all of our needs, and was extremely detail oriented. I did not have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day. I could not be more grateful for the Ballantyne and it's staff. I strongly recommend this venue (and Hannah) to anyone and everyone!

We recently hosted our family & friends for my son's wedding at the Ballantyne Resort. The wedding took place in Rock Hill, SC which is about 20 minutes south of Ballantyne. Our guests enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, wonderful service, golf, spa and dinning during the weekend at the Ballantyne Resort. Emily Brandewie, our Catering Sales Manager was a joy to work with from the very beginning - always responsive and extremely helpful in getting our family rooms and hospitality suite all set up. I would recommend 100% the Ballantyne Team to make your wedding a dream come true.

The Ballantyne Hotel is obviously a beautiful location, but what really makes this the perfect event venue is the staff. From booking to planning to the day-of staff, we were beyond impressed by how warm, welcoming the staff there handled our wedding planning process.

We worked with Emily in sales and Rebecca in events and have nothing but high praise for both of them! They were such a dream to work with and ensured our 250 person event ran smoothly. They're so good at making sure everything has been thought out logistically and really work with you to make your creative ideas come to life.

Being a food blogger, I was especially excited to get the chance to create a custom food menu with the culinary team. Our guests were excited and delighted by our wedding menu :)

The Lodge at Ballantyne was just simply amazing. The group fit perfectly in the space and we partied the night away! We initially set everything up with Dea, and she was so wonderful to work with as we were trying to schedule quickly, having had cancelled another location due to a hurricane. Then I worked with Natalia and she was simply amazing. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she was fun to be around, and so sweet. I could not have asked for a better team!! The Lodge was just what we were looking for, something intimate where we could have everyone together for the weekend. Thank you Ballantyne!

What could I say to really provide a lasting impact on anyone who reads this? If you are considering the Ballantyne- look NO further. Dee and Allison are the upper echelon of those in their profession, and the southern charm that comes with the Ballantyne is unbeatable. My guests were amazed with the Ballantyne’s top notch organization, the impeccable food and the beautiful ambiance. I couldn’t have asked for more from the Ballantyne (except for maybe more of their amazing food). I cannot wait to for my husband and I to go back and just take it all in! You will not be disappointed with the Ballantyne!

For my wedding weekend I wanted to stay somewhere I knew would take care of me, my wedding party, and my husband! However, The Ballantyne went above and beyond! Emily (Director of Catering) had cookies and Pierre delivered when I checked in. Then the day of the wedding they had the room fully decorated with roses, candles, chilled champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Emily and The Ballantyne helped to make my weekend one to remember. The attention to detail and service was worth every penny!

Booking The Ballantyne for my wedding venue was one of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding. I booked the largest ballroom for my ceremony and reception. The Ballantyne was so on top of everything and were very flexible when I decided to not have the ceremony outdoors. They made every step of the process very special for me (the bride). From touring to tastings, it was all done perfectly. When booking with the Ballantyne, they have a venue planner that will work with you. Allison was the planner who worked with us and she helped make my vision come to life. She was always organized and had everything all together. The day of the wedding, she was there behind the scenes helping run the show and make sure the day went perfectly - which it did. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond. The food was impeccable -- definitely not your average wedding food. We had the tenderloin of beef, chicken and Scottish salmon as meat options on the menu. They were all so good, it was hard for me to choose which one I wanted for my meal and don't get me started about the potato sides (AMAZING). We also had them pass around hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, which was great! The bar made two specialty cocktails for us to share with our guests -- one was a more fruity drink, while the other had a whisky twist -- both were delicious. This venue works frequently with a lot of the vendors I chose for my wedding, so they were able to facilitate with drapery, lighting, etc. In addition, the whole atmosphere of The Ballantyne radiates elegance and sophistication. If you are looking for a perfect venue spot, this is the place!

Ballantyne is ultra-professional, and a delight to work with. The entire team went out of their way to make sure every detail was exactly what we wanted. We loved working with them and would recommend them to anyone!

Our guests stayed at Ballantyne for our wedding. It was a beautiful place with very professional staff. The rooms and views were amazing! Everyone raves about their stay! I have been to many weddings where guests are scattered all over the hotel and the staff at Ballantyne did their best to make sure most of us were all on the same floor which I loved!

The Ballantyne Hotel made dreams come true!! When we first began our wedding venue search we were in contact with Dee Woods. She showed us all around the hotel and the Lodge. She sat with us and went through all the possible options not once but twice. She was excellent! Once we set the date we were passed on the Allison Meyer! She went above and beyond from start to finish. She sat down with us in the beginning and helped us figure out all the various things we needed to plan (most of it had nothing to do with the venue-planners, flowers, hair/make-up, band, etc)! Once we got our vendors lined up she met with us to go over linens, set-up of the ballroom, and the food tasting. Her knowledge and experience helped give great opinions and advice on what had worked well in the past and what wasn't such a great idea. Several weeks prior to the wedding we had a meeting and she literally went through every aspect of the wedding from the beginning of the wedding day through the end of the wedding. No question was left unanswered! She worked with our wedding planner to make sure each detail was planned and carried out just how we had discussed. Allison was always quick to respond to email and very patient when I had a busy work schedule. Allison is amazing!! The venue itself is stunning. The service from anyone we encountered was nothing short of wonderful!! The food was fantastic! We had so many compliments of how great everything tasted and how well everything was coordinated! We had a large part of wedding guest come in from out of town so it was great that all the events were in and around the hotel. There is also a lot surrounding the hotel to keep out of town guest entertained!The Ballantyne Hotel was everything I could have dreamed of for a wedding! I wouldn't have changed a thing about the whole weekend! If you are thinking about getting married at The Ballantyne Hotel DO IT! You will not be disappointed!

Words can’t begin to describe the outstanding service and hospitality the Ballantyne Resort and Hotel provided as our wedding venue at the end of Sept. From our initial meeting with Emily, our catering sales manger, to our first meeting with Ashley, our wedding coordinator we could not have been more pleased! Anytime we had questions or ideas to think through, both ladies were readily available for anything we needed. As far as the day of our wedding- absolutely a fairy tale! We were married on the South Lawn in picture perfect weather. Our guests were treated to a cocktail hour afterwards in the atrium, while the wedding party was able to have our own little party in a private room before the reception began. The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom and was picture perfect! The food was phenomenal! Ashley was right there with us the entire night and even checked in with us the next morning. We highly recommend the Ballantyne Resort and Hotel to anyone who is planning their wedding!

I am still in awe of the incredible service my family and I received from Dee Wood, Ashley Faulkenberry and the entire staff at The Ballantyne Hotel!! My wedding was beyond exceptional! No question went unanswered, no concern went unaddressed and no request was unmet!!! From the delicious menu to our stay, anything we requested, Ashley made sure we got it!! Ashley even fixed my wedding dress bustle before the reception!!! There is no better venue than The Ballantyne Hotel! The food was phenomenal and prepared to perfection and our honeymoon suite was decorated with roses and included wine, chocolate covered strawberries and the sweetest, congratulatory note! My husband and I just had our wedding here this past weekend and it was fantastic and truly a once in a life time experience.

We were concerned in finding a venue that was willing to host a same sex marriage. But the Ballantyne staff embraced us and welcomed us.

Dee Woods was our first point of contact and she was very helpful in answering our questions and showing us around the property.

Once we decided on the Ballantyne and the contract was signed we meet with Allison Meyer who ended up being our Wedding Coordinator and Planner. She did a incredible job from start to finish,

The menu for our wedding had come from other venue we were considering but did not choose and when we met with Allison we asked if she could use the menu that we had already selected. She did and with the help of the Chef they replicated it for our wedding with a few tweaks and our guest raved about our food all night.

Allison was attentive and responsive to all our questions and concerns and was available by phone or email to answer questions. I would say without her I am not sure how well our wedding would have turned out.

From the time we checked into the Ballantyne for our wedding until we checked the hotel staff was very attentive to all of our needs including our guests. When we need the van to shuttle us to an area restaurant or for pick up they were prompt.

We also had a Spa treatment the day of our wedding and it was a great experience. The Spa staff was friendly and attentive to our needs and made our wedding day more relaxing and enjoyable for us.

I would highly recommend the Ballantyne for anyone's wedding.

We had our wedding at the Ballantyne Hotel in June 2017 and it was such a wonderful day! Every detail was planned and handled with care. We hired Allison Meyer as our Day-Of Coordinator and she was amazing. Allison met with us throughout the year planning our special weekend and accomodating every last detail, from lodging for guests, creating our timelines, communicating with vendors, and everything in between. Any time we reached out we heard back from her very quickly helping us with anything that we needed. She helped guide us through choosing the best vendors in the area and working with each of them to make our day spectacular and perfect for us. We love how we were able to create such a personalized wedding experience to represent us and have a great party for our guests. Allison made sure that every single detail was perfect!
Allison and the Ballantyne were so accomodating in dealing with the weather and moving our ceremony space accordingly, quickly and efficiently. All of the staff throughout the hotel (concierge, reception, bartenders, restaurant staff, golf, etc) are clearly well trained in luxury customer service working diligently to meet all of our needs and our guests needs, as well.
The spaces throughout the hotel are just gorgeous and the hotel itself offers so many options to guests that there's something for everyone. The spa, the pool, the golf course, the restaurants, etc were all spectacular! It is also centrally located in Ballantyne with easy access to many local restaurants and stores, etc. We used the hotel shuttle to go to the nearby Starbucks and it was so easy!
Everyone continues to rave about the food and drinks at our reception - we have never been disappointed by the Ballantyne food! Everything is so delicious and it's clear that care is taken in making each meal and drink there.
We would do it all over again at the Ballantyne Hotel with Allison Meyer if we could! Maybe a vow renewal in the future ;-)

We got married in April at the Ballantyne, and could not have picked a better venue! Everything from the warm/ inviting staff, the Spa service, our amazing wedding coordinator (Miss Allison Meyer) was perfect. The hotel and grounds are so beautiful and everyone enjoyed their stay so much. Although on the pricey side, they are absolutely worth every penny. We hope to be back again very soon. I don't think you could find better service anywhere.

My daughter had a January wedding at The Lodge....perfection! The venue (with fireplace!) was perfect for a winter wedding. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and the staff (thank you, Allison Meyer!) was incredibly helpful. Nothing was left to chance. My daughter had her dream wedding!
Additionally my sister hosted a bridesmaid's luncheon at the Ballantyne Hotel and it was really well done, too. The venue was lovely and the food was yummy. Of course the staff was terrific.

Yes, this venue is not inexpensive, however, you do get what you pay for! The food, service, atmosphere at the Lodge, rooms, and customer service were all outstanding. Allison Meyer is a star and if you get a chance to hire her as your wedding planner, do! She does it all and allows the hosts to relax and enjoy the event fully. Although it rained and we couldn't enjoy the outside patio at The Lodge for our cocktail hour, everything ran seamlessly even with a change to the inside. I cannot think of a more beautiful setting and we received rave reviews from all who attended. If you want to give your guests an event to remember, this is the place!

We held our daughter's wedding at the Ballantyne Resort and housed our guest there also. We started planning 6 months in advance. We met with our event coordinator (Allison Myer) monthly leading up to the big day, than more frequently as needed. We held the ceremony rehearsal, the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and wedding reception at the hotel. We finished off the weekend by providing breakfast for our guest before their departure on Sunday.

We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. A truly outstanding wedding supported by professional people who are excellent at their craft. My daughter and our guest are still abuzz. They will be talking about the facilities, guest rooms and wedding for sometime to come.

Additionally, unfortunately we had a guest get sick and had to be taken to the hospital during the weekend. The hotel staff, completely handled the situation, including getting him back from the hospital to the hotel that evening. Allowing the wedding to proceed without interruption. Definitely world class customer service.

She was so organized and was there for every step of the way. She helped us with every detail. She made our daughter and new son in laws wedding day go off without a hitch. Our wedding day went so smoothly from start to finish! Ashley Nguyen was amazing to work with! Throughout the wedding planning process Ashley was always available and quick to respond to my emails. Working with Ashley felt like working with a friend. Every time we met at the hotel I left feeling even more excited about our big day! On the actual wedding weekend, Ashley made sure that we had everything we wanted from check in to check out. Four months later, our wedding guests are STILL commenting on how smooth everything went on our wedding day!!! We could not have done it without the amazing staff at the Ballantyne Hotel. My husband and I were married at The Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge in November 2015. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the hotel and staff were - from the first phone call I made to inquire about the venue, to the sweet details put into our wedding night suite. Also, the food served at the reception was delicious, and I am still getting compliments from my guests about how they loved their meals!
Our wedding planner was Allison Meyer, who was exceptional. She helped us plan along the way and was also our "day-of" coordinator. She executed our event flawlessly, and made sure that my every need and want was taken care of (sometimes before I knew I wanted or needed it)!! My day was relaxed, and stress free because of how wonderfully Allison planned my special day.
The day was perfect in every way, and my only disappointment is that we can't do it again :-).

As the mother-of-bride, it was important for me to provide as much of a stress free venue for my daughter as I could possibly provide at a comfortable price. The Ballantyne hotel not only provided but exceeded my expectations. Our staff coordinator, Allison, was phenomenal! Every aspect from make-up and hair to the last dance was perfect! I am truly appreciative!

We had a wonderful wedding experience at The Ballantyne Hotel. We had both our wedding ceremony and reception there and rented the Ballantyne Ballroom which was a gorgeous room. The Meeting & Events Manager, Allison Meyer was amazing! We hired her as our Day-Of Wedding Coordinator as well. She was very helpful in the planning process and made it an easy and fun experience. Her bubbly personality and positivity was refreshing and made her a joy to work with. She is very professional and knowledgeable about the planning process. Through her experience in wedding planning she had some great expert advice and suggestions for us that were very helpful. She has a great attention to detail which contributed in making our day extra special. During the planning we were made to feel special just as we were on our wedding day itself. The rest of the staff at The Ballantyne Hotel was also very professional and accommodating. Our family and friends commented on how delicious all the food was as well as how elegant and professional the details of the venue itself and the service at the hotel was. We appreciate everything they did to carry out the details of our dream wedding and make it come to life. We are extremely happy with our experience there and the service we received. As a bride, I can tell you that the two most important factors for a successful wedding are: venue and food. Ballantyne was not cheap, in fact, it was above my original budget, but I knew that it had the best location and food in the area, so I went for it. And now, I have no regrets! My wedding was held at Ballantyne this past weekend. The ceremony was at the Carolina Room and the reception at Fairway Ballroom. Everything was amazing! The food was the one thing people raved about, which is all I cared as a bride. Allison Meyer was my wedding coordinator. She was super professional and she was just excellent. She listened to all of my requests and she incorporated all of my ideas. She's also very organized, which is a MUST for that day. I didn't have to worry much knowing everything was in her hands. The service was amazing! All the staff would congratulate me and all my guests would tell me how excellent the service was! Just fair warning: there is a 23% service charge on everything. So make sure you incorporate that into your budget, since it's almost a quarter of the overall price (outside of 7% tax and other fees).

As soon as my now husband and I walked into The Ballantyne Hotel, we knew that this was where we wanted to celebrate our big day. We had a personal hotel liaison, Allison, who assisted us throughout our wedding process. She kept in touch with us as well as our wedding planner, Erin from Carolina Event Design, to keep us in the know of everything for our big day. Their design studio was the perfect place to meet with my wedding planner and we LOVED our tasting! The hardest part was narrowing down what to choose-everything was amazing! On our big day, Ballantyne gave us a beautiful space for us to prep for our hair and makeup. The entire staff was hard at work while we relaxed and enjoyed getting ready. The space for our ceremony and reception were incredible. We used the South Lawn on the 18th green for our ceremony and the Fairway Ballroom for our 100 person wedding. It was perfect! My family and friends were blown away with the exceptional service and professionalism of the entire staff from Ballantyne. They even let us exit on a golf cart and gave us a complimentary suite for our wedding night! I would highly recommend any bride to use Ballantyne. Their spaces are beautiful, but their staff are the true shining stars! Our big day would not have been the same without them!

The Ballantyne is as beautiful as it looks. Having a wedding here may cost some extra bucks but it is sooo worth it. The breathtaking views and gorgeous hotel are just divine! Initially Jody Young was helping us but went out on maternity leave and ended up staying home. Sue Bayrd was then assigned to us, she was new, but did an amazing job. Ballantyne has hosted hundreds of weddings so they know all the small details that other people may forget. We also had a wedding planner and together Tina and Sue were fantastic. I didn't have to worry about anything. Sue was very helpful and allowed me to relax on my wedding day. I could text or call her anytime I needed. She was available and knowledgeable about everything. I highly recommend this venue if you want perfection for your wedding!

From start to finish, having our wedding at the Ballantyne Hotel was the best experience I could have ever wished for. Monica was a pleasure to work with from as early as when we were first just looking at the hotel as a potential venue, through contract signing. Jody Young was our main point of contact thereafter to help us through all aspects of planning everything that was correlated with the hotel and what was included in our package. She was reliable, trustworthy, and such a sweet-natured person – so much so that we ended up deciding to hire Jody as our dedicated day of coordinator to operate the logistics of the entire wedding. Jody’s attention to detail is phenomenal, which made for a stress-free, wonderful wedding day. The level of service that we experienced from the Ballantyne Hotel was top quality, and I would highly recommend this venue.

We hade our reception dinner at the resort and they were wonderful. It is by far the prettiest place in Ballantyne. They catered to every need and we couldn't have asked for more. Special thanks to our waitress Michelle, she was great!

There really is nothing bad I can say about the Ballantyne. When it comes to weddings, they know what they're doing! Alli Hall was my coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. They couldn't have made things easier for me. They are a bit pricey but for everything I got, the beautiful location, and my peace of mind, it was definitely worth it! My wedding was absolutely amazing and if I did it again I would change nothing.

Our wedding at the Ballantyne hotel was everything I had dreamed to have in my wedding. People at the Ballantyne hotel really care about offering you the best service for your wedding. We had a small wedding and since the first moment we talked with a staff member about having our venue there everything just went very good. Our wedding was gorgeous and the person who helped us, Jody was such a nice person who cared about what we wanted all the time. She was there since the first time we met her to start preparing everything until the day of our wedding checking that everything was going well. I will always remember my beautiful wedding there and I would recommend any person the Ballantyne hotel because definitely this is the right place.

This venue was perfect for my daughters wedding. Her wedding was planned in 7 weeks and with the help of Alli (event manager) and Heather (Carolina Wedding Design) it was perfect. The kids wanted an intimate and romantic wedding. The Ballantyne was the right choice. They had their ceremony in the Carolina Room, cocktail hour on the balcony and we all went down the stairs to a patio on the 18th green. It was just what they wanted. The service was impeccable and the food is out of this world. The guest were blown away by the service and food. They are top notch all the way.

We just had our entire wedding weekend at the Ballantyne Hotel. We held our Rehearsal at The Lodge, wedding ceremony and reception at the hotel as well as a Farewell Breakfast. We can't say enough about how wonderful everything was from the planning stages all the way up to the wedding day. We worked with both Adair and Alli. Adair in Sales was so great. She answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable about our decisions of hosting the wedding there. Alli handled all the planning and catering. She was absolutely wonderful. Just a joy to work with. Both The Lodge and The Hotel are just beautiful. The entire staff is so helpful and kind. All our guests were so impressed with the hotel. The staff went above and beyond for us. The food was outstanding and all our guests had the best time. I can't imagine holding a wedding anywhere else!! The service, staff, and hotel itself...all exceptional. Ballantyne is just perfection!

Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge was far above the rest of the venues we looked at on all accounts. We were immediately greeted by smiling and helpful staff during each visit to the property. The property is very elegant and the attention to detail is impeccable from the landscaping to the layout inside the building.

Our Event Manager, Alli Hall, did an exceptional job and was in close contact with us during the planning period. Since we live in the New York City area, Alli had regular conference calls and email contact with us to help make our special day picture perfect. She also worked seamlessly with us and our local wedding planner on the fine details. All staff at Ballantyne was happy to help with anything that needed to be addressed. Alli did a great job with our event order, and helped make sure no details were overlooked. Specifically, she worked with us to make sure that the linens, chairs, china settings, and anything else with our reception all worked together. In the event that Alli was unable to meet with us, she made sure that another qualified staff member provided us with whatever we needed.

The Ballantyne Hotel provided everything a bride and groom are looking for from a venue and more. The staff at the Ballantyne including Jody Young made our wedding day/weekend incrediable. We wanted to avoid using several vendors for different things and were pleased the Ballantyne offered several packages and solutions for us to avoid the headaches of dealing with even more vendors. We held our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even our morning after brunch at the Hotel. Several of our guests stayed at the hotel and many of them enjoyed the spa, golf and the local attractions. This made our wedding not just a wedding but a long weekend for everyone to celebrate together thanks to The Ballantyne! The level of service is the best in the industry and by far the best in Charlotte. If you are looking for the perfect place to have your dream wedding that all of your guests talk about you will be extremely impressed with The Ballantyne Hotel.

This hotel was stunning! From the minute we walked in, we knew this was the venue for us. The staff, the grounds, the entire hotel was just picture perfect! Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. Truly, hospitality at its finest. The BEST Event Manager to work with was Alli Hall as she was always there to answer any questions and guides us through the entire process of planning a wedding. Everything was beautiful and I couldn't have been happier with choosing the Ballantyne to host my most memorable day!

Absolutely perfect...flawless...spectacular in EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE! I really picked a great one. You will find that everything and everybody is spectacular there. Mrs. Kelly Randazzo and Mrs. Alli Hall were absolutely amazing. I would go with a separate planner if you need "all inclusive planning services though." Overall, I felt like a princess and my day was perfect...EVERYONE AROUND ME MADE SURE OF IT! You are lucky if you are having your special day here! They took every ounce of stress and gave me positive energy all along the way!

My experience at Ballantyne resort was truly a dream come true. This venue was definitely the best value for the product received. Close attention was given to every detail. All of their efforts attributed to a very enchanting evening for us all.
My wedding planning process could not have been better with Carrie. She was always available, provided very helpful recommendations and was a breath of fresh air during hectic moments. The staff was very receptive to last minute and unexpected changes and adapted with ease.
On the day of my wedding, Carrie knew what I needed/wanted before I could ask and made sure that all of my wishes were carried out. Additionally, she and the resort staff made sure that my guests, parents and bridal party were treated with white glove service at all times. I could not have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend this venue and planner to anyone.

PERFECT VENUE! My husband and I had the best wedding weekend experience at the Ballantyne Hotel! Most of our guests were out of towners and stayed at the resort and were thrilled with the accommodations, service and all around experience. Erin Hunter (my wedding associate at the hotel) was amazing to work with and they catered to our every need. They have great wedding packages and are able to work with any budget. The food was outstanding and all of our guests keep telling us it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. We had our ceremony on the south lawn overlooking the golf course and the reception was in the ballroom. FABULOUS experience! We would love to do it all over again!

I've always thought that the Ballantyne was beautiful but never dreamed that I could afford to get married there. When I got engaged, I figured why not see what they have to offer and boy, was I surprised! Not only did I plan a budget friendly wedding at the Ballantyne, but it was still full of all those special touches that make the Ballantyne so wonderful. My guests were wowwed with the hotel and grounds itself, but food and staff were also amazing. It's been a month and a half and I still hear from my guests that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. And what's more, I enjoyed every second of my day because I knew that there was a great team of Ballantyne staffers making sure that every detail was just right!

We had our reception at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge in August. It was truly a memorable experience. Our guests are still talking about how impressed they were with the service, how beautiful the hotel is, the delicious menu and how much fun they had! Most of our guests were visiting from out of town, so it was great for them to have a wonderful place to stay for the wedding. Our whole planning process was virtually effortless, and our catering sales manager was so proactive, helpful and such a joy to work with. The Ballantyne is definitely THE place to have a wedding in Charlotte, as it is hard to match the quality, service and value that you will find here.

Our wedding at Ballantyne can be described in one word FLAWLESS!!! I'm still receiving compliments from our guests who were amazed at how friendly and professional the entire staff at the hotel was. From the minute our guests arrived to check in for the weekend, they were treated like royalty. Our reception was absolutely perfect and the food was INCREDIBLE! We are so glad that we chose The Ballantyne for our special day!

OUTSTANDING!! We still hear from our friends about how nice everyone in the hotel was, the food quality, and the atmosphere. Of course, they also say that our wedding was a blast, but it wouldnt' have been as much of a success had we done it anywhere else. My wife and I went to three or four other venues before visiting The Ballantyne, and had we come here first, we could have saved a significant amount of time and effort. I strongly recommend!

The Ballantyne was the most perfect place to hold my wedding weekend! We had guests come in from all over and they were so impressed with how pretty the hotel is and the hospitality they received from the entire staff. The Reception was georgous! My friends and family still talk about the rack of lamb we had and my favorite part was throwing my bouquet over the most beautiful banister before we walked down the grand staircase for our goodbyes! It was the most perfect place for my magical wedding!

We're about to celebrate our 2-Month Anniversary, and now that life is finally settling, we're reflecting on how wonderful our Wedding was at The Ballantyne.

Allison Meyer was AMAZING! She was not our original wedding coordinator, but picked up the event just a few weeks before our big day (our original coordinator moved on to a new job) and we are SO SO Grateful that Allison was with us when the time came. Not only did she address our every concern (which inevitably will happen regardless of how great the planning) but she solved problems that cropped up before we even knew about them -- exactly what you want in an event host! We felt confident at every step that Allison knew Exactly what was going on, and had it handled down to the last detail.

In additional, she worked Perfectly with our "Day-of Coordinator" who we brought in from outside. We were a bit concerned at first that this could cause friction, but the two of them were both such professionals and worked perfectly together!!

While I can't say enough good about Allison, I'd be remise if I didn't talk about The Ballantyne too. The reception was beautiful, the food was magnificent (dozens of guests gushed about how great everything tasted!), and our room that night was elegant. The team put out rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne (not that we really needed More to drink, but of course we did anyways).

In summary, Yes! Of Course!! If The Ballantyne is your picture perfect wedding, then we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who asked!

Our daughter Giovanna and her Husband Drew were married in Charlotte last weekend and we held a reception for 200 people at the Ballantyne. It was spectacular!
Our guests, many from out of town, raved about the hotel its services and over the top helpful and friendly staff. The ballroom was set up beautifully and the food was perfect!
cocktail hour was a tremendous event and the wait staff were very attentive. We shopped several venues that appeared to be less expensive, but after all the "add-ons" at the other places, The Ballantyne's packages were the best value. I would definitely do it over again in the same way. The hotel and grounds are truly spectacular, and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and the most beautiful hotel they had ever stayed at. Dee Wood and Allison Meyer put the whole thing together, covered every detail, and executed every action plan!

Impressed from the beginning. We knew this was the place minutes after walking in! Gorgeous common areas throughout the hotel and had a wonderful weekend hosting our friends and family at the Lodge! It was so great to have the entire lodge to ourselves from Friday to Sunday! Would choose them for future events. Our event coordinator (Ashley) was amazing and so organized and really made our day so smooth as the day of coordinator!! Could not thank her and the staff more. Food is definately worth the price (we were consistently told it was the BEST wedding food our guests had ever had). Loved it!!

Hosting my July 2016 wedding reception at the Ballantyne Hotel was even better than I imagined. We had around 120 guests and used the Carolina Room for the cocktail hour and the Fairway Ballroom for the reception. I toured a number of wedding venues before selecting the Ballantyne, and chose the Ballantyne because in addition to the beautiful location, their staff was exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and professional. I wanted the planning process to be easy, and I liked how instead of working with many different vendors, a lot of what we needed was included in the per person price (space for getting ready, wedding night suite, food and drink, china, chargers, linen, chairs, dance floor, table numbers, votive candles, etc.). Once we booked, Allison Meyer was our contact and she is fabulous! She ensured that the planning process and wedding day ran smoothly, and I had the peace of mind on my wedding day knowing that she was on top of her game. I highly recommend the Ballantyne Hotel to other couples planning their special day!

The Ballantyne Hotel is a beautiful venue for a wedding. We hosted a very intimate wedding (only 60 guests) and we were treated wonderfully. Everyone, from Adair (Sales) to Alli (event coordinator) to the waite staff were friendly, accommodating, professional and efficient. The chef was very flexible and we our cake (The Cake Lady (Jill) was terrific. The custom-made/designed wedding cake was just perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend The Ballantyne Hotel.

We had our Indian Wedding at the Ballantyne and were blown away by how amazing the experience was. Alli Hall helped us with initial planning and with our wedding planner helped us have our perfect day! Getting to have both our ceremony and reception at the same location was amazing and the overall service of both the staff on the day of the wedding and those we met whenever we visited was fantastic.
The Ballantyne Hotel was a bit costly but they made up for it with a great location and service. They helped us have a great ceremony. We did have another event occur the morning of our wedding which could have caused set backs but luckily everything went smoothly. Overall, we were very happy with the service and hospitality of the Ballantyne.

Our wedding was at The Lodge at the Ballantyne. It was absolutely gorgeous-LOVE this venue. We rented out the sleeping rooms as well so we could make it a weekend event. Everyone had a blast hanging out and enjoying the amenities like the pool tables and ping pong. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is a pricy place to hold an event like this, but they do offer winter packages to help bring down some of the costs. I would highly recommend this venue!!

My husband and I had our reception at The Ballantyne in November 2018. Our initial experience when we booked our wedding with the venue was positive, however about 4 months into planning we were told that our assigned wedding coordinator was leaving the venue and we would be receiving a new coordinator once a replacement was found. We heard absolutely nothing for over 2 months when we decided to reach out again. Turned out the replacement had started (over a month) and just never bothered to reach out to us. We scheduled our first meeting… none of the information for all of our vendors, coordinator services, linen selection, timeline, etc. that had been already covered with our first coordinator had been passed on. The new coordinator didn’t even take the time to read our contract prior to our first meeting. We literally had to start from scratch. We spent the next 5 months right up to our wedding going back and forth with almost every single communication in person and in writing being full of incorrect or outright wrong information that we repeatedly reviewed with her. The number of issues we had as a result of her lack of attention to detail, inexperience, and unfamiliarity with the venue was ridiculous. The absolute worst being the throwing out of my bouquet wrapped in pieces of my mother’s wedding dress.
After our wedding we provided feedback to our coordinator and our booking agent, detailing all of the concerns we had around our experience. Our booking agent was authorized by a manager, Raj Radke, to offer us a one-night stay and spa treatment to be used in the next year as a resolution to our experience. We have no desire to return to a place that treated us so poorly and turned down the offer. The coordinator also offered to reimburse us the coordinator fee, however almost 2 weeks after the wedding it was discovered that she had not correctly completed our billing spreadsheet. Despite the fact that the coordinator had confirmed in writing that we had paid our bill in full prior to the wedding, they now claimed we had an unpaid balance. Instead of reimbursing us the full fee, they applied the “reimbursement” to her mistake.
Raj, the manager was CCed on all of the communications around our concerns with the service we received and never took the time to speak with us, respond, or apologize once.
This may have been a venue that provided great service at one time, but our experience was one of disappointment, frustration and incompetence. I would not recommend that anyone entrust their special day to this venue after the experience we have had with their current staff.

So, i had my hair and make-up done at Ballantyne ( i was staying there for the wedding) and i didn't make an appointment to practice but i had a rough idea of what i wanted. So first off, i could do better with the eye shadows and she almost ruined the eye liner and i wanted fake eyelashes so just incase i needed them, i brought a pair and had to put them on myself.
My hair blond and very long so i wanted it curled and half up and i expect someone working at ballantyne to be able to do a simple hairstyle in a timely manner. She did a sloppy job curling and did not use nearly enough hairspray and i was 45 minutes late to the cerimony due to her taking way too long! I love Ballantyne Resort but i would never recomend their hair and makeup services for anything important, and the spa is not cheap either.
