We had our wedding on 9/1/24 at the Asbury Hotel. Asbury Park is the most special place to us, and as soon as we got engaged we knew we wanted to get married there. We first visited the Asbury in September 2022 and immediately knew this was where we were going to have our wedding. We weren’t even going to consider visiting another venue, and we could not be happier with our decision. There is truly no other venue like the Asbury.
We loved that we had full creative control over the space to execute our vision for the day, where we weren’t confined to some sort of traditional “package”. We were able to add personal and sentimental touches to everything seamlessly, and even the craziest of ideas were welcomed and encouraged. We’ve gotten many compliments from guests who said it was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever been to, and those compliments are a testament to the hard-working staff at the Asbury, and their seamless ability to work with us and our vendors.
When we originally booked our wedding, the date was for 9/14/24, but we reluctantly had to change it around a year out due to the Sea. Hear. Now. festival which was happening on the same date. This was a major stressor at first since dates are booked out so far in advance, but Gina was super accommodating and worked with us to switch our date to 9/1 as soon the date reopened due to another couple needing to reschedule their wedding. Initially, we didn’t want to have our wedding on a Sunday, to not compromise the benefits of a Saturday wedding, but Labor Day Sunday acts enough like a Saturday and we were thrilled that our guests were able to spend their holiday weekend in Asbury however they wanted to - whether to see live music, party, chill, drink, eat.
We kicked off our wedding weekend with an evening showing of Shrek 2 on the rooftop. We booked the pool area the night before for our welcome party, our ceremony on the rooftop, cocktail hour in the hall/pre-function room, and our reception in the hall/terrace. For the morning after, we added a station for breakfast sandwiches and drinks for our guests to either grab and go as they were checking out or sit with us in the cozy lobby conversation pits to debrief for a bit. My sister and I still talk about the egg sandwich almost too frequently. No idea why it was so good but it was. Everything was perfect, I could go on and on. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a single thing about our perfect weekend in the most perfect place in the world.
We HAVE to give an extra special shoutout to Teresa + Mia. The level of care and attention they give to each couple, while managing multiple weddings per weekend, plus events at the hotel during the week, is incredible. They handled everything for us as we approached the date. About three weeks out, we had our final details meeting, where Teresa sat with us for a few hours to guide us through EVERYTHING - she laid out our entire day-of schedule, gathered all vendor contact information, and walked us through the event spaces once more so we could get a better idea of how the party would flow through each of the spaces. She also made a note of our Swiftie status in our Banquet Event Order 🙂↔️
From that point forward, she and Mia handled all the vendor communication regarding logistics and day-of itineraries, which we were extremely grateful for. Mia was also especially helpful when it came to working with the seating chart program and making any adjustments to our banquet event order in real time. The morning of our wedding, we had an extremely large seating chart that required onsite setup, and Mia was running around to help us gather any last minute supplies, which was very appreciated. Teresa and Mia totally put us at ease and alleviated any our anxieties.
When we arrived back to our room after our wedding, Teresa + Mia had left us friendship bracelets to commemorate our date + 1989…. iykyk.
It honestly made the post-wedding feeling so bittersweet, because as sad as we were for it to be over, we felt like we left with new friends!!
TL;DR The Asbury is a special and unique venue, full of character, charm, music, and offers space to showcase your creativity. Planning a wedding is a full-time job, but the team at the Asbury is unmatched, and they really helped make it all less overwhelming. -

We got married at The Asbury Hotel in August, and we have nothing but the best things to say about our experience. We both love spending time in Asbury, and the hotel's location is unbeatable. It truly embodies the vibrant energy of the city, and we were thrilled that our guests were able to experience that during our wedding weekend.
We first began working with Gina, who is amazing! She always went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and that our many questions were answered. When we brought my mother-in-law to Asbury for a visit, Gina graciously paused her work to give us another tour. She is so genuine and truly excited for the couples she works with, and I felt that in every interaction.
A few months before the wedding, we were introduced to Teresa and Mia, who are absolute pros at their jobs. When we met with them a month before to go over all the logistics, they came with a clear agenda (which I love), were completely up to date on all our plans (which I can imagine is not easy given how many weddings they manage), and guided us through decisions we were still making. They were also so cool and fun to chat with, and we left the meeting feeling more excited than ever and completely at ease knowing we had the best team in place. Afterwards, they sent us an outstanding to do list, which was a super helpful guide to make the last month less overwhelming.
And it proved true that we had the best team as our wedding day was flawless. Teresa and Mia were there every part of the day, coordinating everything seamlessly with our wedding planner and vendors and jumping in to provide support whenever needed. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, so we got married on the Baronet Rooftop. The setup was stunning, with all our guests having a view of the ocean. Afterward, as guests made their way to the cocktail hour, drinks were waiting for them when they exited the elevator. When it was time to move to the tent for dinner, the team raised the garage doors, and our guests were in awe—none of them knew where the dinner was going to be until that moment. These thoughtful touches made all the difference, and we received so many compliments on them.
We loved having a separate space for dinner and dancing, which kept the energy high and got everyone on the dance floor all night. We wanted the outdoor space to feel like a garden, with plenty of flowers and candles, while the indoor space to feel like a fun, lively bar—and both came to life exactly as we hoped. We didn’t want a traditional ballroom, and The Asbury’s set up was perfect for us. After the reception, our parents and their friends grabbed drinks in the lobby, while our friends went upstairs to dance at the Salvation Rooftop. The two venue options were great, offering something for everyone.
The Asbury is also an ideal space for photos! Even if the weather had been rainy, there are so many indoor backdrops that would have photographed beautifully. We ended up doing our first look in front of the ivy wall outside and we love the photos. We also used several of their recommended vendors, all of whom were fantastic, so we definitely suggest following their vendor guide.
It so easy to get wrapped up and nervous about the details, and we are incredibly grateful to the Asbury Hotel for all their hard work and for putting us at ease throughout the entire process. Our experience working with the whole team was wonderful and it made our wedding more special, fun, and happy than we could've dreamed of. We’ll always feel very lucky to have gotten married here! -

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Asbury Hotel, and it was, without a doubt, the best decision we made. From the moment we first toured the venue to the final moments of our big day, everything was simply perfect.
A huge part of that perfection was thanks to the incredible team at The Asbury, especially Teresa, Gina and Mia. They guided us through every step of the planning process with care, attention to detail, and an incredible sense of calm. Their expertise and passion for what they do were evident from the start, and they made sure every aspect of our wedding day was exactly what we had envisioned—and more.
On the day of the wedding, Teresa, Mia and the entire Asbury team were nothing short of extraordinary. They managed every detail flawlessly, ensuring that everything went off without a hitch. From the stunning setup to the seamless coordination, they took care of everything, allowing us to fully enjoy our day without any stress. Their professionalism, warmth, and dedication shined through in every interaction, and we are forever grateful for the magic they brought to our special day.
The venue itself was perfect for our celebration. The ambiance, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel made it the ideal backdrop for our wedding. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the space and the fantastic service.

June wedding at the Asbury Hotel
Our experience working with the Asbury was absolutely amazing! We knew we wanted to have our wedding there right after we took the venue tour. The hotel has a funky alternative vibe but also gives you the ability to still have the traditional feel of a wedding if you want it. Our guests had a wonderful weekend staying there and said it truly felt like a destination wedding with everything going on at the hotel and having the boardwalk just steps away. Working with Gina throughout the entire planning process was awesome and Teresa and Mia made sure all of our events went smoothly during our actual wedding weekend. We had our welcome party out by the pool area (rented out the pool deck, highly recommend) and our ceremony on the rooftop. There were multiple spaces in the hotel available to have our wedding events which was great having so many options. We can’t thank the Asbury team enough for making our wedding experience perfect! -

I can’t say enough amazing things about the team at The Asbury Hotel. From the day we toured, to the day of our wedding, everything felt seamless. Teresa is such a pleasure to work with and knows how to get shit done. If you’re worried about the logistics of your day not going the way you envisioned, just don’t…Teresa & Co. have this machine well oiled. All my vendors were also so excited to be working their team again so they’re clearly doing something right. The location is great, so out of towners have plenty to do during their stay. You can bring in your own catering so you have more than one option. The venue itself has so many places (inside & outside) to get your day of photos bc of its cool aesthetic. It poured and FLOODED the day of our wedding and our photos are still 10/10 even though we had to do everything indoors. If you’re contemplating The Asbury for your big day, stop thinking and do it. You’ll be so mad if you don’t. -

When looking for a venue, we wanted somewhere that was a mix of classic and funky, that let us add our own unique spin based on our personalities and that was located near points of interests for our out of town guests. The Asbury Hotel was the whole package for us, and we immediately fell in love with it. We also had a pleasant experience with the accommodating team throughout the planning process. It was the perfect spot for our ceremony and reception with conveniently close bars and restaurants near by where we hosted the rehearsal dinner and after party. We also utilized the Asbury Lanes, attached to the hotel, for our post-wedding brunch. Guest raved about the venue and were able to stay at the hotel or the nearby Berkeley. Even though it rained and we weren't able to have the ceremony on the rooftop, it was still beautiful and we wouldn't change a thing. I recommend this venue if you're looking to put your own personality into your big day vs. a standard catering hall since you need to bring vendors in, but the team was very helpful at providing a preferred list of vendors, plus working with our amazing planner made the day go seamlessly. -

We had our wedding ceremony and sit down dinner reception at The Asbury Hotel in July 2023 and would highly recommend it for your big event! Everything was seamless--from our first visit, to our out of town planning, and ultimate execution. We were over the moon happy with everything. Our day-of hotel wedding coordinator Teresa was amazing--so thoughtful and professional and fun. We also had to pivot from the rooftop ceremony to a ceremony in the clear tent for the dinner and we couldn't have been happier. We didn't worry about anything and we had the BEST time and so did all of our guests. Nearly all of our guests were also from out of town and they all raved about the hotel itself! We loved our stay there too--and the big wedding suite was awesome. Don't hesitate to book The Asbury for your next big event! -

Asbury Hotel was flexible enough to let me take my first look photos and formal photos for my wedding in June 2023. I wasn’t allowed to use my venue at all before the ceremony and our original outdoor location wasn’t going to work with the gloomy weather. The hotel lobby is a very cool and unique space and we were lucky enough to use the adjacent hall as well which is stunning. Teresa was flexible, understanding, and truly came to the rescue only a few days before my big day. I had toured this venue for my wedding as well and absolutely loved it- it’s a very unique and modern venue which you don’t see very often. Asbury lanes would be a great rehearsal dinner spot and the hotel has a cute pool and food truck that would be used for a post wedding bracelet. Definitely recommend!! -

I would HIGHLY recommend choosing The Asbury as a venue for your wedding. We are so glad we did for ours! First of all, it was so easy to have EVERYTHING in one place for us and our guests. Our guests enjoyed staying at the hotel. It was a mini family vacation for us! All of the amenities the hotel offered were amazing and The Asbury is in a great location to everything the Jersey Shore has to offer! We used the Salvation Rooftop Bar for both our Welcome Dinner location AND after party location. Teresa and Jenna were AMAZING with the planning process. We knew we were in good hands from the get-go. But I was even more astonished by how accommodating they were to us the day of the wedding! They did and thought of EVERYTHING for us! Our guests were amazed by the venue and had a BLAST. My wedding was absolutely perfect! -

Love The Asbury
We got married at the Asbury Hotel and it was a great experience! Teresa was our coordinator and she was great to work with. We emailed back and forth for about a year, but was especially helpful during our last few months of wedding planning. She worked behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly and we didn’t have anything to worry about especially the day of! I had my bridal shower in the ground level room with outside terrace and it was absolutely gorgeous! The event staff, specifically Matt, was so helpful in planning every detail from food, beverage, table layout etc. They made the room feel perfect size for a party of 50 people although I know they do large weddings in the room too. The food and drinks were delicious too. Highly recommend for any event! -

Most amazing venue in NJ!
When we were planning our wedding, we knew we wanted something different from every other wedding we went to. The Asbury was the first venue we went to and we fell in LOVE! We loved that there are such different and unique spaces for each part of the event - from the rooftop for the ceremony, to the pre function space for cocktail, to the terrace and hall for dinner and dancing, and the Lanes for the after party. Our guests were OBSESSED and loved that they never had to leave the building the entire night! Teresa and her team were so great to work with from the day we met until after our wedding! I was concerned about not having a wedding planner or external day of coordinator, but between Teresa, our caterer (Falcos, which we would also highly recommend), and our photographer, everything was literally perfect and exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you all SO MUCH for such an incredible experience and wedding day -

The Asbury Hotel was the perfect venue for our dreamy spring wedding! I knew back in early 2020 that The Asbury was exactly what we were looking for in a venue: a unique + customizable space, a destination for long distance family + friends, and a fun + lively atmosphere. Matt and Teresa are the absolute BEST team and made our venue selection a no-brainer. During a time of uncertainty and difficult decisions - Teresa always approached the situation with logic, empathy, and transparency. Teresa is the real deal - THANK YOU for your guidance, honesty, and calm energy. The day would not have been the same without Teresa in our corner.
After two years of waiting, we had a magical wedding on the most beautiful day - on April 22nd. The rooftop ceremony was breath-taking and tented dinner on the terrace was incredible (shout out to our wonderfully talented florist - Amber & Earth). -

The Asbury Hotel is THE coolest place to get married! Teresa, Matt and the entire staff at the Asbury hotel are a brides dream! The organization from booking our wedding to the day of went SO smoothly. Teresa is quick to answer texts and emails (even when I would send 4 at a time)! Matt made me a BEAUTIFUL balloon arch that was the photo area of the night! We stayed at the hotel the day before and the night of and every single staff member treated us like royalty. Our rooms were fully stocked with everything we needed, they accommodated all my guests for my wedding with parking, they coordinated a perfect rehearsal the day before, they set up a beautiful reception area ( even though I had 100 requests) ! Seriously from start to finish I have not one complaint! Thank you so much for letting me have a stress free wedding day and taking my vision and making it a reality!

We loved getting married here
My husband and I are originally from Monmouth County, and we have both enjoyed spending time in Asbury Park with friends in the past, so when a friend suggested we look at the Asbury Hotel, we were already optimistic about it. We are so glad that we chose to get married here.
We had a lot of family and friends coming from out of town, so it was super convenient for us, not only because guests could stay at the Asbury, but because the Berkeley Hotel is extremely close by.
The Asbury Hotel is a beautiful space, and if you are able to get married from the roof, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, we were not able to do the rooftop ceremony. However, the indoor alternative on our snowy, rainy, windy early March wedding day was lovely, and we are thrilled with how everything turned out.
Matt was so helpful through the planning process. He got back to us immediately, and answered all of our questions. He and Joseph were so nice and so helpful on the day of the wedding.
The reception space was beautiful, and we had a great experience with all of the vendors we used from the Preferred Vendor list that The Asbury Hotel provided to us.
NOTE: Be aware of the time of year when you are getting married. You will have better weather in May - September, but Asbury Park, but it might also be crowded with tourists that time of year. We were happy that we got married in March, even though we had awful weather, because we were able to have the rehearsal dinner in town without worrying about the beach season crowds and traffic.
We loved our wedding, and we are grateful to the Asbury Hotel for this experience. -

I cannot recommend having a wedding at the Asbury enough. The team, including Teresa Dantone, our wedding coordinator, Joe Huntenburg, and more, truly worked magic for our wedding weekend. We had a FULL BLIZZARD happen the weekend of our wedding, and as I heard other brides getting calls from their venue canceling, the Asbury assured us along. Not only did Teresa stay on text basis with me all weekend, she provided vendors with constant updates and fostered communications between vendors, patrons, and staff. We were able to use the hotel, pre-function space, ceremony space, ballroom, Asbury Lanes and more so our guests never had to step outside. While we had a unique experience, I think it is safe to say that the Asbury staff goes above and beyond to make EVERY wedding unique in its own way. Chose the Asbury if you want a more eclectic, bohemian, feel that rivals the traditional catering hall venue. You will be told by guests you had the best wedding ever because the Asbury is truly iconic in every way- and the staff is at the heart. -

My now wife and I were lucky enough to celebrate our big day at the Asbury Hotel with 175 of our closest friends and family in January of 2022. We had multiple people tell us our wedding was the best they had ever attended! The Asbury Hotel offers a very unique experience, as we had the ceremony in a tented space outside, cocktail hour in one hall, and the reception in the Asbury Lanes. Teresa and her staff treated us wonderfully, answering all our questions and guiding us through the process along the way. The staff are all super supportive and we could tell everyone involved really wanted to make our wedding as special as possible. What could have been a very stressful day was nothing short of pure bliss and enjoyment! I would highly recommend the Asbury Hotel to any couples looking for a venue for their wedding day! -

We got married on May 7, 2021 at The Asbury Hotel - it was the perfect day at the perfect venue.
We looked at so, so, so, many venues - The Asbury Hotel checked all our boxes: outside space, intimate vibes, dynamic location, and within budget - check, check, check, check. We requested to book a date after our first venue visit in August 2019, for a wedding on May 29, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic our wedding was postponed to May 7, 2021.
We can’t say enough about the amazing work by Matt, and then by Teresa. Both were incredibly professional, understanding, and responsive throughout the entire process. Special shout out to Terese who picked up the coordination of our wedding. She was the perfect point of contact during the uncertain months of COVID-19. She was organized, available when needed, and she was knowledgeable/ upfront with us about the ever changing government COVID restrictions. If astrology means anything to you, she was able to calm my Capricorn energy, which wasn’t easy when planning a wedding during a pandemic. Personally, we felt we were her only clients, even thought we knew that was not true. We highly recommend that you book the Panoramic Suite; perfect lighting for photos.

"It wasn't what we imagined, but more than we could have every dreamed"
After planning our daughter’s dream wedding for over a year, life through us a curve when we arrived at the Sandy Hook Chapel the day before the wedding to be told the park was closing due to Hurricane Henri. With no venue and 200 guests in town from all over the country, we were crushed. We had all of our rentals and an amazing caterer but needed a roof to have over our heads as high winds and significant rains were expected. We had people calling venues all over the state with no luck. Trailing a U-Haul of DIY signs and decorations, we stopped at the Asbury Hotel on our way home from the park. We met Matt and the magic happened! He had an event ending at 3pm the next day and said if our vendors could do it, he would make it happen. Our caterer, Falco’s went into high gear and in just over 24 hours we had the most magical wedding at a totally different venue. Under a time constraint of less than 3 hours, the team at the Asbury Hotel along with our caterer @falcoscatering, rental company, @oceantents, florist, @floramoon, photographer, @ashleymacphotographs and DJ, @unforgettabledjs, put together the most spectacular affair with every detail perfected. Our guests can not stop complimenting us, but it was the magic of the Asbury Hotel and our vendors that made Megan and Spencer’s dream wedding come true. As our now son-in-law said a few days after- "It was not what we imagined, but it was more than we could have ever dreamed." We can not thank Matt, Amy and their staff at the Asbury Hotel enough for turning our wedding tragedy into an unbelievable success! I don't think you can find too many venues or vendors that could put on a wedding in less than 24 hours! Besides rave reviews, the greatest compliment from all of our guests is that they said they would never have know this was not our planned venue.

Best. Wedding. EVER!
My husband and I hosted our wedding in Asbury Lanes which is attached to the hotel. It was an unconventional venue for a wedding, but it was absolutely perfect for us. The venue barely needs any decor because there are already so many cool fixtures, from the bar, to the stage, to the American Flag made out of bowling balls hanging from the ceiling. We bowled, ate disco tots and danced our butts off. If you’re looking to have a PARTY, have it at the Lanes.
Matt and Amy from The Asbury were absolute pleasures to work with. They worked with us throughout our two wedding rescheduled (thanks COVID) and they were so helpful throughout it all. We worked closely with Matt getting towards our wedding day, and to put it simply, he’s the best! He was responsive, accommodating and made really great suggestions.
I wish we could have our wedding all over again, because it was the best party of our lives. Thank you Asbury Hotel, Lanes and the entire staff!!! We will remember this day for a lifetime. -

My husband and i got married at the Asbury last July, and it was a blast! All of our guests are still talking about how much fun it was. The venue was awesome, and our out of town guests loved soaking up everything that Asbury Park itself has to offer. The hotel is great and the highlight was definitely the pool and the pool bar, where all of our guests congregated the day after. We worked with Teresa to coordinate the wedding, and she was fabulous! She made the whole day go off without a hitch. We planned on having the ceremony on the roof, but due to some passing showers we wound up moving it last minute to the terrace. I couldn’t have asked for a prettier set up. She flipped the space that was set up for the reception over to a ceremony location and back again and it looked PERFECT. I was so happy with the way everything came out. She was easy to communicate with leading up to and even after. Joe was also managing the day of coordination as the banquet manager and he was awesome! He managed not only the vendors and the event logistics but helped us out afterwards with where to go with all of our guests to keep the party going. We had a great time at the bowling alley attached to the hotel, Asbury Lanes. Overall, I would highly recommend The Asbury to anyone looking for a beautiful, sophisticated, yet super cool and unique venue! -

My Husband and I got married at The Asbury in September and I truly could not have imagined a more perfect day. We were lucky enough to work with both Matt and Teresa, who were nothing short of absolute rock stars. When we needed to postpone due to COVID, Matt was incredibly responsive and more importantly, supportive of our decision. We were so relieved at how incredibly easy he made what seemed like a huge and daunting task. After working with him for two years and gaining Teresa along the way, it truly felt like they were more than just coordinators; it felt like they were close friends who were just as excited to celebrate as us! One of my favorite moments with the team was seeing Matt right before I walked down the aisle...I mean, how special is that?! The entire experience just felt like so much more than most people probably get from a wedding venue team and I cannot recommend them enough. -

We booked back in 2019 for 2020 but due to COVID had to postpone a year. Matt was a bright light throughout the whole postponement process, always remained positive and kept the excitement alive for the whole 2+ years of planning. There to answer any questions, Matt and later on Teresa, helped to ensure all our questions and concerns regarding the latest guidelines were addressed. As the time got closer, Joe was an absolute superstar in helping all our wildest dreams and ideas come to live. Matt, Joe and Teresa are an incredible team and deserve every bit of kudos mentioned here. They truly put you first as a couple and make it happen! The day was a dream and the best night of our lives. Although the weather did not work out for the rooftop ceremony, plan B was an absolute hit and the guests did not even realize it was intended to be anywhere else besides the terrace. Every detail down to the getting ready spaces, signature drinks, first look and afterparty was everything we could have ever dreamed of. Everyone could not stop raving about the Lavender Lemonades! We cannot thank Matt, Joe and team enough for the hard work and upbeat attitudes they put into our entire wedding weekend. -

I can't recommend The Asbury enough!!! We booked during Covid with plans of doing a small, intimate wedding (50 people). I was nervous during planning that it would feel *too* small or look like we're in too large of a space, but you would have never known during our wedding! All of our Disco Wedding Dreams Came True
My husband and I call Asbury Park home, so when we got engaged we knew it was important to us to get married here. Obviously The Asbury is beautiful- the perfect venue for those of us who aren't looking for the "typical" Jersey venue, but with the space and accommodations that are super hard to come by when you're venue shopping in this area. What was the best surprise of planning a wedding here, though, was how we truly hit the lottery in terms of The Asbury's team. We booked with Matt, and honestly I would have signed a contract the day we met him if he pulled one out of his pocket based on his enthusiasm for our vision alone. As our planning process continued and COVID became an endless cloud over our lives, Teresa joined the team and she should maybe consider running for president because she gets.stuff.done. Matt and Teresa both would QUICKLY answer any of our crazy ideas with a "yes", and the fact that ALL of those crazy ideas turned into amazing, actual, parts of our wedding day experience is one of the truly exceptional reasons we feel so, so lucky to have gotten married at The Asbury. Long story short, our pre-pandemic wedding plan included a 200+ guest count and a cocktail-style reception next door to the hotel, at Asbury Lanes. When it became clear that probably wouldn't make the cut with the COVID restrictions at the time, Teresa swiftly introduced us to Chef Mike Dunston, who took the time to sit down with us and create the most unbelievable, unique 5-course dinner menu for our new, intimate reception plan. Thanks to Teresa and Chef (and Morgan coming in hot with TWO signature drinks!), not only were we never sweating having to flip the script on our planning, we were MORE excited than ever for our big day. What they delivered will forever bring a giant smile to my face. -

WOW! I cannot say enough about the job that the team at the Asbury Hotel did with our wedding, and I can’t imagine holding it anywhere else. Obviously the location is phenomenal, but the team behind the scenes is what really makes it stand out. We first had the chance to work with Matt, who was so upbeat and positive, taking us on a grand tour of the hotel and all our options for hosting a wedding. Then, we had the pleasure of getting to work with Teresa and I really cannot speak highly enough of her. She made it so easy to change our date due to COVID, and so seamlessly held everything together all weekend long. She was my go-to from the Friday welcome drinks to Sunday brunch, and her team, especially Joseph, were absolutely phenomenal. I loved that we had the opportunity to customize so much of the event, while most venues require you to use their food etc. Also, there were a few special personal touches that were important to us, and Teresa made everything happen perfectly, even when it wasn’t in the original plan. If you are looking for a venue that will fit all your needs and wow your guests, I would highly recommend The Asbury. -

We had the most epic and stunning wedding at the Asbury Hotel on the Friday of the SEA.HEAR.NOW. music festival. We were one of the first couples to decide to postpone our wedding due to covid and insisted on keeping our date as the Friday of the festival, knowing how wild and crazy it would be. Matt and Teresa were GEMS to work with throughout the entire process. We live in AP, so we stalk the hotel lobby way too often with our doggos because it's the prettiest hotel lobby in the world with such great food, service, and coffee. It's also the coolest venue ever because it's a total blank slate that you can design into whatever your vision is. They work with all of your vendors to make your wedding the most epic thing you'll ever attend and have ever seen. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with them pre, during, and post wedding. Forever grateful for their guidance and expertise to make our big day the best one ever! -

We very recently had the good fortune to work with Teresa Dantone, Joseph Huntenburg, and the other wonderful staff at the Asbury Hotel to host our daughter's wedding. Under circumstances both complicated and difficult that endured ever since we started planning the wedding in early 2020, the Asbury Hotel under Teresa's leadership provided remarkable, sensitive, and highly competent service in support of the big day. Their flexibility and innovation mattered greatly. The venue itself is quite stunning (Thanks Sperry’s for the tent!) and the staff quietly and capably went above and beyond in every instance. We chose to have the Asbury also provide the food for the occasion and our luncheon turned out to be a elegant and delicious meal. Weddings are stressful occasions along with being a string of luminous joyful moments to remember forever. Whether dealing with the stress or helping us to create the joy, Teresa and the team at the Asbury worked in such a way to earn our profound gratitude. Perfection!
I cannot even begin to express how dreamy our 4/17/21 wedding at The Asbury was. My husband (!) and I have been staying at the hotel since it opened a few short years ago for summer vacations, mid-winter getaways, Valentine’s Day, birthdays, etc. It is our spot. So, when we got engaged in December 2019, we knew exactly where we wanted to host our wedding ceremony and reception. Within two weeks of our engagement, we had The Asbury booked for our nuptials.
Wedding planning during a global pandemic was far from easy, but Teresa Dantone, our wedding coordinator from The Asbury, gave us the confidence that we’d have our dream wedding no matter the circumstances. Our initial guest count was 125 and was cut to 25 because of COVID in January. By mid-February as things started to take a turn for the better, she informed us we that we could accommodate up to 75 guests, but we decided that we would only double to 50 given the circumstances.
Teresa and the team at The Asbury put in as much enthusiasm and commitment to our micro wedding as they would have for a wedding of 200. Teresa was communicative and thorough throughout the entire process. While I was reading horror stories from brides online of their venues enforcing original guest counts or making them change their dates to accommodate other brides, my husband and I did not have to even consider these scenarios. Teresa and the team worked WITH us, not against us.
The amount of support and genuine excitement we received from Teresa and the hotel was unreal. I can say with 110% certainty, it made all of the difference to us and added to the wonderful time we had at our wedding. Teresa was on site for more than 12 hours the day of our wedding, checking in with the bride and groom frequently and making sure everything flowed smoothly – and it did. She even had the bridal suite cleaned and left my husband and I a sweet note and a box of truffles to enjoy when we got back to our room. We appreciated that added thoughtfulness.
Not to mention – we received nonstop compliments on the hotel itself and the ceremony and reception. The Asbury is eclectic and the epitome of Jersey Shore fun. Not to knock banquet halls for weddings, but if you want something outside of the traditional wedding norm and an experience for you and your guests, this is the spot. The day after our wedding, we and a number of guests hit the boardwalk for breakfast and spent time soaking up some sun and enjoying the extra time with each other.
Our ceremony was held on The Baronet (the rooftop) and was idyllic. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and everyone enjoyed the view overlooking the ocean and the iconic Convention Center. For our reception, we had the terrace tented and our DJ provided uplighting to make the place glow. Teresa had a lounge area set up outside of the tent so guests could enjoy the fire pit and my husband could have the cigar table he dreamed of.
I cannot thank Teresa and The Asbury enough! If I could relive our wedding day over, I would in a heartbeat. It was perfection! -

The Asbury came to our rescue after a COVID-related change of plans. We were able to plan the most fun and memorable microwedding in ~6 weeks thanks to the help of the incredible team at The Asbury! Matt and Teresa were beyond professional, knowledgeable, kind, responsive, and accommodating throughout the planning process and on the day-of, and it resulted in an incredible day that went off without a hitch! The venue is gorgeous, the in-house catering was fantastic (we had nonstop compliments from our guests), and it is just such a special and beautiful place to get married. We, and all of our guests, felt the incredible attention to detail and personalization that went into making the day and weekend ours.
We are so looking forward to returning to The Asbury for years to come. For any other couples considering this venue I can’t recommend it enough! -

A dream wedding come true!
There aren't enough words to express my love for The Asbury Hotel and the entire planning team that helped us from our initial tour to the day of the wedding. We worked closest with Matt Bassant. He was incredibly communicative, always quick to respond, extremely positive and made the entire wedding planning process a breeze. The rest of his team were an absolute joy to be around during our wedding. Aside from the incredible staff, the hotel itself is amazing. We chose to have our ceremony on the Baronet (rooftop), which has nothing but incredible views of the ocean, Asbury Park and of course Convention Hall. The reception room was perfect for our summer wedding because we could split the space as indoor/outdoor. The hotel's rooms, bars, pool, facilities, etc made for an amazing turnkey space for our guests - also it's 1 min from the beach! Please do yourself a favor and book your wedding at The Asbury Hotel. When we met Matt we not only fell in love with him but knew the venue was the perfect place for us to get married. Matt and his team were awesome – he was quick to respond and attentive to our specific needs. Throughout the entire process (the difficult and joyous parts) we felt spoiled by Matt and his team. He has an incredible list of preferred vendors that made choosing a caterer so much easier. Amazing view and venue!!
Our day was incredible! We worked with Matt in the year leading up to our wedding. He was attentive, flexible, and great at answering any questions that we had along the way - at any time! The day of the wedding ran very smoothly. Our ceremony was on the Baronet rooftop with a beautiful view of the water, the cocktail hour in the prefunction space, and the reception downstairs and in the courtyard. We had 130 guests and they fit in the space comfortably (any more than that would’ve been a little tight if we had to stay just inside). The entire night was perfect! We wouldn’t have changed a thing! -

Living next to the Asbury Hotel since it was built made it a not so obvious choice as our wedding venue. (Most people don't know what they have when it's right in front of them!) We searched high and low for that perfect 'barn' wedding that Pinterest boasts pages and pages of. (overplayed!) The next stop were swanky warehouses in NYC that were industrial and edgy. (overpriced!) Lastly, we booked a different local Asbury Park venue. 6 months went by and the accommodations/space just weren't there- the backup plans did not ease our worries, and ultimately we had to back out. That's when we decided HEY! Let's check out the hotel one sunny Saturday morning. This is when we met an angel on earth, Matt Bassant. He talked us through the entire venue- no stone unturned. Once he took us to the MAGICAL rooftop - where a view of the waves crashing & the famous "Greetings from Asbury Park" sign backdropped the ceremony space- we said yes to the.. venue! Let me tell you - when you think of someone who you would want with you through all the stressors of planning your wedding & someone who you'd have to communicate with the entire way through AND see their face a plethora of times on the actual day of your wedding - there's no one better than Matt. His light heartedness paired with his professionalism is unmatched. His promptness, ability to get back to us on all matters, and honesty are not traits you find in all wedding professionals. Are you still reading? He's also ridiculously ridiculously kind. So there you have it (that alone should get ya!). Let's talk about the space. If you want a wedding that hasn't adorned the pages of wedding magazines & instagram one millionnnnn times already- this is your place. It's unique- your guests who are in their 60's and have been to their fair share of banquet halls will never have experienced anything like it. The details of the space are modern, eclectic, UNMATCHED in my opinion (treasures around every corner- just look up & under & around) you'll find something cool. Cocktail hour in the pre function room- an all white room glass windows floor to ceiling (so classy- so gorgeous). The reception space with its 3 giant garage doors opening up to a terrace lined with lit trees & string lights was nothing short of perfection. The perfect weather was having people lounging out on the Asbury's brand new patio furniture around the bonfire - 2 drinks from the bar in hand. Don't let the fact that you have to bring in your own caterer scare you! USE FALCOS CATERING! This ain't their first rodeo. They know the space, their food is to die for, and Lisa the maitre d is like your cool aunt that makes sure your eating and always have a drink in hand. We took tons of photos in the the private space, but just a short walk had you on the bustling Asbury Park Boardwalk for photos with people cheering you on and maybe a couple of unwanted (ok maybe we liked it) flip phone pics. Just a few major major pluses- EVERYTHING in one space!- valet parking (especially important in Asbury), hotel accommodations, brunch by the pool the next AM, and multiple after party bars. Ok I can fairly say this was the best damn day of my ENTIRE life and the Asbury Hotel and alllllll of it's people that work hard their had an INTEGRAL part in making that happen. I love them all. Have your wedding at the Asbury Hotel and you will NOT regret it one bit. XO -

This review is so long overdue! My husband and I got married at the Asbury back in October and our wedding was absolutely perfect. Amy really helped us figure out how to make our wedding day reflect our personal style and tastes. She even set us up with a craft beer package for my husband - Heineken was not going to cut it for him lol! The hotel itself is awesome. It’s truly an alternative bride’s dream wedding venue. Not your typical traditional wedding vibe at all, but more of a retro rock-n-roll chic vibe (if that’s even a thing haha). The staff were also wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Special thanks to Carrie who kept our glasses full and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. We can’t thank everyone at the Asbury enough for making our wedding day so special. Great venue all around! -

Finding a venue in New Jersey that wasn’t a barn or traditional ballroom was a bit challenging, but after seeing The Asbury we knew we could stop our search. The hotel is incredibly fun and modern and from the moment your guests step in the lobby they will know the vibe you’re going for. We had our ceremony on the rooftop, which was laid out beautifully and had a great view of the ocean and surrounding areas. We used the inside area of the reception space for dinner/tables and the outside area for dancing/photobooth/the bar. This setup worked for our needs perfectly and the space never felt crowded (140 guests). We worked with Amy leading up to the event and Teresa on the day of and both were incredibly responsive and accommodating. We heard rave reviews from our guests all night about the space and there are no shortage of amazing photo locations in and around the hotel.

From our first venue tour to our wedding day, we had an excellent experience working with Matt and The Asbury staff. Even when our wedding was a year away, the team was quick to respond to every question we had along the way (incl. weekends & vacations - even if we asked them not to).
On the day of the wedding, the front desk team were incredibly helpful checking in our guests, handing out welcome bags and answering any questions that came up. Knowing our guests were in good hands allowed us to focus on each other and the day itself.
We would absolutely recommend The Asbury to anyone looking for the perfect Jersey Shore wedding weekend.

We got married on location at The Asbury Hotel rooftop and it was absolutely stunning. After a COVID postponement (which the team handled with grace) we had long awaited the big day and the team at the Asbury made sure it was perfect. Teresa was amazing. She handled every task with ease, answered every question and the weekend of the wedding she made me feel like her top priority (even though I know she was doing a million other things...including 2 other weddings that weekend). We had such an amazing experience working with the team at the Asbury. They handled everything with all of our vendors and made the day flow by without a hitch. The rooftop for the ceremony provided ocean views for all of our guests and was absolutely gorgeous. The flow from ceremony to reception was flawless and the everything looked amazing and was right where it was supposed to be (and I was nervous about this since I didn't have a day of planner). Teresa made sure everything was perfect and I'm so grateful to have had her leading the team on the big day. I also want to mention Lynn at the front desk who was amazing in getting all our guests checked in and helping me collect all of our leftover belongings on the morning after. 5/21/21 - a dream!
A dream! We hosted our 5/21/21 wedding at The Asbury Hotel and our guests can't raving about it! My husband and I have strong ties to Asbury and instantly fell in love with the hotel when touring. We booked in February 2020 with then coordinator Matt. Throughout the pandemic there was so much uncertainty; however, Teresa (the newer coordinator) kept us updated and informed along the way. Each time there was a restriction lifted, she notified us immediately. Her frequent communication put my mind at ease. She was available by phone, text, or email - even on her days off, she made it known that she would always make herself available.
Our wedding day ran SO smooth. Even if something did go off-plan, I had no idea. Teresa and our maitre d' Joseph were super accommodating and seriously on top of every little detail. Looking back, the day-of details made me most anxious, but Teresa and her team were truly a well oiled machine. She frequently checked in with us in the bridal suites and made sure we had everything that we needed.
We would highly recommend The Asbury to any couple looking for an eclectic, fun, and relaxed setting. This is not your traditional stuffy ballroom - there are so many awesome photo ops for you and your guests throughout the hotel. From the ceremony on the roof to the after party at The Soundbooth, we had the night of our lives. -

My husband and I got married at The Asbury Hotel November 2019. When we got engaged The Asbury Hotel was at the top of our venue list for personal reasons. We had spent a lot of time in Asbury and the hotel since it had opened. We have always loved the casual and unique vibe of the hotel.
Upon our first tour of the space and meeting with Matt, we were sold instantly! Matt is confident, informative, and super genuine. Above all else, Matt is super responsive, and I felt comfortable with him immediately. For my entire planning process, Matt would respond to my emails within the day if not the hour. To be honest, Matt’s communication is a HUGE reason we went with The Asbury Hotel. It is so insanely important to have a vendor who prioritizes your needs and responds in a reasonable amount of time. Matt ensured our day was exactly what we wanted. We are so thankful for Matt and his team at The Asbury for making our day so special.
Our ceremony took place on the roof, followed by cocktail hour / reception in the event space. The day ran smoothly, with little to no hiccups. I also LOVE that the entire venue space is allocated that day for only your wedding.
Most of our guests stayed at the hotel and there were little to no issues with their check – in and stay.
Overall, we had a WONDERFUL experience with the hotel and their team for our wedding. The Asbury Hotel is a perfect backdrop for any couple who wants to create a wedding day that is tailored to their tastes and styles. I wish we could get married there every weekend!!!!! We got married at The Asbury Hotel the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and while it’s cliche for us to say it was the best wedding ever, we’ve heard this same sentiment from so many of our guests, with huge compliments towards The Asbury. The venue is exactly what you picture Asbury Park to be…unique, funky, lively and overall an amazing venue for a wedding. We worked with Matt who was incredible. He’s a true professional who listened and worked his magic to make our wedding exactly what we wanted. Our ceremony was on the roof, dinner and dancing for 110 guests fit perfectly in the ballroom and the terrace was beautifully light for our outdoor lounge that included both bars and photobooth. All of the other staff, from Carrie (our bridal attendant) to the front desk desk, were so accommodating and were as much as part of our weekend as anyone else. Overall, we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else and would recommend The Asbury, especially if you and your guests want to make a weekend of it. -

Though our original plan to get married at the Asbury couldn't happen (covid), everyone on site helped accommodate our millions of changes so we were able to have our rehearsal dinner at the hotel, house all of our guests, and otherwise set up camp at the hotel for the weekend. I couldn't recommend the venue more for a wedding, party, or weekend getaway. The staff was professional, flexible, welcoming and incredibly generous. We can't wait to go back to celebrate anniversaries. The hotel bar, Asbury Lanes, rooftop, coffee bar, rooms and centralized location made The Asbury the best choice we could have possibly made. -

As soon as I found The Asbury, I had a feeling it was going to be our venue. There’s such a cool vibe about the hotel and I loved all the unique, fun details. When searching for our venue, I wanted to find one that had a “rain plan” that I loved and The Asbury definitely had that (even though we were lucky enough not to need it!)
Ryan and I stayed on site the night before and the night of our wedding but most of our guests stayed in Airbnbs around Asbury Park due to high cost as it was peak season. The panoramic suite was comfortable and offered amazing natural light for getting ready the morning of the wedding.
The Asbury's staff were great, professional, and accommodating and were easy to work with even with staff changeover a few months before the wedding. -

We spent our whole wedding weekend at the Asbury Hotel with our welcome party at the pool and our after party in Asbury Lanes. The location and vibes are unbeatable. Our wedding guests were able to grab a drink at the lobby bar, then were escorted up to the Baronet rooftop for the ceremony with the most beautiful views of the ocean and the boardwalk. We worked closest with Mia and Gina - who are both absolutely lovely and go above and beyond. The bartenders and waitstaff were great - service was on point and we were able to throw the best party ever!
With all of that being said, we had a really negative experience with our room block. It was very unorganized and there was a lot of miscommunication which caused a ton of frustration between us and our guests. We had to start our wedding weekend off by spending at least an hour at the front desk trying to get our rooms situated. It all worked out eventually, but I'm hoping that improves moving forward. -

Meghan Sent on 05/21/2018I wouldn't have picked any other venue! We had a fall wedding with the cocktail hour on the Baronet and it was perfect. The Asbury is the perfect location for couples looking for a unique venue with Asbury Park flair.

I have to start this review by saying my wedding at the Asbury was the most amazing day. Friends and family, the amazing weather, and great vendors made the day perfect and because of that, we lucked out. However, I absolutely could not recommend hosting an an event here. In working with Amy Floss, it seemed like she talks a lot to make the sell but when it comes down to delivering, it’s a different story.
Every step of the way, I would always have to feel like I was chasing her down to contact her and confirm details, always waiting for an email back. Not a great feeling when planning your wedding. We booked the event space well over a year in advance for 150 guests. Then, with about 2 weeks til the wedding she tries to reach out to me saying they only have enough chairs for 140 and we would have to rent the rest for about $400. She carefully relayed that information to me and not my father who was paying for the event, as she was clearly trying to see what she could get away with. Once my father reached out, magically, she tells him that we don’t have to pay. We were also using a tent for the outdoor space and she charged him extra to have the tent taken down the next day because of another event (even though he allowed the event the night before to use the tent). This is just the beginning.
On our wedding day, we haven’t heard from Amy at all. I believed that she was a day of coordinator but did not hear from her at all to hear about the timeline. I even had to leave a bag of extra decor and reception items with the front desk and just trust that they would know what to do with it as she must not have had the time to speak with me that day. We specifically ordered a custom neon sign to be displayed at our wedding and it was just left left in the bag because “they couldn’t find an outlet”. Our ceremony start time was 5 pm. Flash forward to 5:20 and I am in my room with my bridesmaids all ready to go, yet still no one came to get us. We actually had to call down to try to figure out what the plan was. Again, a HORRIBLE feeling as you’re about to walk down the aisle. Not only this, but I found out from my dad and other guests that people were taking the wrong elevators and had no idea where to go for the ceremony. Again, great communication. My dad literally had to ride the elevator and run around to make sure guests knew where they were going. Finally, in a mad dash, Carrie finally came to our room to take us up and was the only real redeeming staff member. She really stepped up and I wish we were able to work with her from the beginning. Still, it was clear that communication is a huge issue for this staff as directly after the ceremony they sent my bridesmaids down the elevator even though they were supposed to wait for pictures. They had to wait a while to get the elevator back up to the roof and staff literally said “I don’t know the plan”.
All in all, it was clear that communication and interpersonal skills are not a strength for Amy. I won’t even get into our next day ‘brunch’ and Amy trying to add extra charges after the fact. While everything ended up beautiful, thanks to the vendors and nice weather, the events leading up to the wedding and the limited communication while planning the wedding really affected my experience. Do not book your wedding at the Asbury if you are looking for a smooth and stress free experience.
