I cannot say enough good things about this venue. The manager Kim is more than amazing. She was unbelievably helpful with everything, always offering advice. There are two different location options, one more affordable, but just as beautiful. Our pictures were unbelievable. The grounds made the most picturesque backdrop. The buildings are well-kept and have everything you need. The only issue we had is that we did not get phone service and could not use Spotify for our playlists. Kim let us use her personal hotspot to download our playlists last minute. She is the absolute best. We have Verizon. Just a note to download beforehand! That was the only issue, everything else was truly perfect. This was the first place I visited and I did not need to look anywhere else. -

This venue is breathtaking. COVID forced us to postpone our wedding and unfortunately for us that meant we had to find a new venue. I came across the Arbors and never looked anywhere else! We did a tour last April/May of both venues on their property - The Main Venue and the Pavilion. While you can't go wrong with either, the Main Venue caught our eye and we went with it. The convenience of having basically an entire house attached to where you'll be getting married and having your reception can't be understated. The area is kept immaculate from the perfect lawn care to the gorgeous lake and blooming flowers (if you're getting married in spring/summer), just wow. Nothing around the Statesville area compares. There are so many amazing spots for photo opportunities that I think our photographer would have kept us from the reception all night if she could just to get more. We loved the remoteness of it, and when our guests arrived you could see their jaws drop. I don't think pictures do it justice so I would recommend a tour.
As for the tour and booking - we worked with Kim which is one of the owners assistants mostly. She answered all of our questions and if she wasn't positive, she would check in with the owner Brian asap to make sure we had a straight answer with no hesitation which I really appreciated. We were even able to come out on a random Sunday afternoon with our planner and florist to vet out the space for flowers and envision the table settings, they just double checked that there wasn't an event going on and let us come by. They worked with us as well when I had to have our final meeting (typically about 30-40 days before the wedding) remotely and only a week out from the wedding due to a family emergency. They are extremely professional and made the hectic nature of wedding planning just a bit easier. -

Look no further - this is the place
A perfect location for what they helped to make a perfect day. These folks saved our daughter's wedding when first the reception venue fell through, and then the ceremony location with only 3 days notice. They were complete professionals and made everything so easy. Pictures do not do this place justice - it is the perfect venue for a wedding and reception. Our guests had a fabulous time, and it was a magical day and evening. So easy to work with. Thank you Brian, Kim and Tonya. We are forever in your debt. -

Talk about a top notch venue that is unique, stunning and a perfect place to plan your dream wedding. I was complimented on the venue countless times by my guest on how quiet, romantic, clean and spacious the space was. Tonya, my day of coordination, was sent from heaven. She helped me along every step of the way and made my vision come true, she also catered to me all night long- making me feel stress free and special the entire time. We visited on multiple occasions and we were helped throughout all steps of the process with making decisions. Go tour and see the beautiful grounds and space- it requires minimal decor because of its natural beauty! You and your guests will for sure have the experience of a life time! If I could go back to the beginning of planning- I would choose The Arbors Events over and over again. -

My daughter was married on April 27th at The Arbors main site. We rented the main site for the weekend. First, the venue/grounds are beyond beautiful. The ceremony and cocktail hour were held outside and the reception for 93 people was inside. We had plenty of room with a good size dance floor.
My daughter and her bridesmaids stayed in the house the night before, (there were 7 of them, and they had plenty of room) getting hair and makeup done on site was stress free and easy! The groom and groomsmen hung out downstairs before the ceremony, they enjoyed having their own area to relax and get ready.
Our guests all commented on how beautiful everything was and how smoothly everything went!
No one would ever have known that just 3 days prior our in-house coordinator quit her job, which caused a bit of stress leading up to the day of the wedding but Brian took over everything, clarified all the details we had worked out previously. We even had Kim and Tonya working the day of the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly...I’m happy to say everything was perfect. The professionalism from Brian, Kim and Tonya to ensure the day was everything we imagined was greatly appreciated by all of us! Thank you for an amazing wedding weekend!!
If you are looking for a venue that has great indoor and outdoor space and a staff that’s professional, I highly recommend The Arbors!! -

Caroline Sent on 02/12/2018I got married at The Arbors on January 20. During the month of January, the venue was reduced price as it is the off season, which was very helpful for us. Angie and Bryan were the most wonderful people to work with. They were SO accommodating and helpful. I worked primarily with Angie, who was available by text, phone, and email during the months leading up to the wedding. I work ~80-90 hours a week, so she kept me on task by emailing me even when I had fallen a little behind the ball. I also had her be my day-of coordinator, and she was right there during the entire weekend and thought of everything. She let me make my own decisions first and foremost, and provided suggestions from her experiences when I was at a loss. She knew the exact look and feel that I was going for and her suggestions helped me complete my look. She coordinated with my vendors so that I could cruise through the week before and the weekend of the wedding. You contract bar services through the venue, and they have a list of caterers you can use, and the huge benefit of that is that they are so used to all working together that I had to do VERY little coordination. Everything flowed smoothly and the night went off without a hitch. The venue was also so beautiful. It snowed 7 inches just a few days before the wedding, but when we arrived on Friday they had plows going to clear the drive and the parking lots. I truly, honestly, cannot say enough good things about this location and these people. I would 100% do everything the same way again with no regrets.

Sherri Sent on 11/13/2017Our daughters wedding was 10/28/17. We rented the main venue and WOW what a great day! Everything was perfect! The venue is absolutely beautiful! The entire weekend was wonderful! My daughter and her bridesmaids stayed at the venue Friday night which made it easy getting ready for the big day! The Arbors personnel are so helpful and easy to work with. We visited other venues and compared everything. The Arbors have so much more to offer! Our guests were in awe and everyone had a great time! We are so pleased with outcome!

As soon as we looked at the arbors we knew this was the place we had to get married!! The staff there are amazing!! Brian was so easy to work with and was great at accommodating our every need! Brandy Childes was our wedding planner and she is amazing!! We could not have asked for a better wedding planner & wedding venue!! We would recommend this place to EVERYONE!!!! -

The owner Brian was even there the day of our wedding setting up chairs and checking on my dad to make sure there was not anything else we needed! They make you feel very relaxed and at ease! I would highly recommend this venue to any bride:) -
Torey Sent on 07/05/2018Wonderful venue! I have loved this venue since I was in high school. I am so glad I chose them as my wedding venue. The venue is pretty expensive. The venue ONLY allows you to chose one of their 3 food vendors ( we chose LKN in Mooresville=BEST food every). They also ONLY allow you to use their bar service who they work hand in hand with. Its about $19 per person for open bar with basic choices and if you have 100 or LESS guest you can do a "comsumption bar" ar around $13 per person (aged 21 and over) but they also charge "soda" fee for under 21. So overall every guest count you have costs money.) I'm including this part of the review because when you choose this venue, these are things that are go along with it. Again, you can only choose one out of 3 choices for food (LKN is who we chose, they were great). You cannot bring your own alcohol and you cannot have a "cash bar". You MUST use their bar services. You get a 1 hr rehearsal the week of your wedding, if they are not holding a week day wedding on. Their coordinator Angie was great however I brought in my own coordinator that I met at a wedding show. I was also able to schedule a walk through to show my coordinator around the premise. They also include a 3 hour access for you and your photographer to do engagement/bridal portraits. Great venue. I didn't have any problems! ALSO! When you rent the pavilion site, you get the groom cabin included! My groom LOVED this and it is what sold him on it. You have 10am access and he and his groomsmen enjoyed the entire morning there playing table games inside. Inside the pavilion site there is a bridal suite. we had plenty of room in there for 3 hair/makeup artist and all my girls and some family. The "main" site is a weekend only rental. SUPER expensive. They rent this from Friday -Sunday. I didn't rent this because it was way out of my budget.

When I contacted the Arbors Kim sent me an email right away with a list of dates and times that would be available to tour. I showed up and got an amazing tour from Brian (the owner) he showed us all parts of the venue (which is huge) and even gave different suggestions and ideas of how things could be set up. He wasnt pushy and really listened to what we wanted. -

My husband and I visited multiple venues and couldn't seem to find "the one" until we we came across The Arbors. We wanted a venue that we would both be happy with, and showcase the beautiful state of North Carolina for our Ohio and Michigan friends and family to see. Brian was very professional and made us feel like The Arbors was a well run organization that would do everything to make our big day go according to plan. The grounds are kept in incredible shape, along with the inside of the venue itself (we were in the Pavilion). Brian recommended wonderful vendors who did an outstanding job as well. They Day of Coordinator Tonya was awesome. She was very responsive to email and ran around the Pavilion ALL day, making sure everything was setup and ready to go. We can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. -

Otherwise, this is a great place for a wedding. You have to use some of their vendors, but they were fantastic vendors so I have no complaints. -

We chose to rent the site for the weekend, and it was the best decision ever! The views from every angle are absolutely gorgeous, moreso in person than in pictures. Kim and Brian were fabulous, made sure we had everything we needed, and met our every need. Kim went above and beyond to make sure our wedding weekend was everything we envisioned and more and to make sure we had no room for stress. They handled everything from the decorations setup and tear down to coordinating with our vendors so that my husband and I could enjoy our wedding weekend and tend to our guests. We wished we could do it all over again just to enjoy the experience! -

Unmatched Unprofessionalism
I am a professional in the wedding event space and my client recently had an encounter with the owner of this venue that was so unlike anything I’ve ever experienced out of a professional business before and it needs to be shared.
My client reached out to Brian at Arbor Hill Events to try to set up a venue tour. On October 30th Brian asked her if she could come in at noon on a Saturday or 11 am on the Sunday. The same day she responded to him and told him that she was out of town and that the current weekend he was asking about wouldn’t work. He then responded to her that he could do Sunday, November 9th at 9 or 10 am. My client did not respond. Brian then messaged again saying he scheduled her for 10 am on the 9th, even though she never responded to him saying that time worked for her.
On the morning of November 9th, Brian texted my client instructions on where to go when she arrived. She responded to him and said that she did not confirm that appointment and wondered if he had anything available the following weekend. They mutually agreed on November 15th at 10am.
My client drove over an hour for the appointment that they both mutually agreed upon only to be ghosted by Brian. He didn’t reach out to her till an hour and a half after their appointment time saying he “lost track of time”.
She left a business review stating what happened and this is where things went south. This business owner could have left it at he lost track of time, didn’t show up for the appointment that day, whatever the case may be…..but instead Brian has taken it upon himself to text my client and borderline harass them/gaslight them. I have NEVRE in all my years in the wedding industry (and it’s been a lot all over the US across many states, Ive done it all from planning/coordinating to HMUA so I have dealt with all kinds of wedding vendors and professional) encountered someone behave this way.
I will be attaching screenshots of the way this business owner spoke to my client today and then you can make your own judgments from there. I will say that I recommend scouring the internet for reviews on this business because some of the stuff I’ve read today about this business and this man are actually unbelievable!!! -

Do not book and waste your time. My husband and I booked for the entire weekend, and we all arrived the Friday before our wedding. The bathrooms were disgusting, and the shrubs out front were not trimmed so you could barely see the ‘The Arbors’ sign. The biggest thing was… when it came down to us getting our damage deposit back, the owner completely ignored all of our communication efforts to reach him. We didn’t get our money until a week after the 30 days and he still never said a word. Very unprofessional.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but the owner does not seem to care about the place. -

We paid a 5,100 deposit on 9/7/2025 for a wedding scheduled on 10/24/2026.
Communication was inconsistent throughout the process and became especially concerning during key planning stages. On 4/9, we reached out to confirm our ceremony start time (as required before sending invitations per the contract) and did not receive a response. We followed up again on 4/13 regarding timing and rehearsal logistics, then again on 4/16, and finally via text on 4/17. We did not receive a response to any of these attempts.
Due to the lack of communication and unresolved concerns related to our contract, we have chosen to pursue legal action to recover our deposit. The NC Attorney General’s office and BBB is involved as well.
This situation has caused significant financial loss, stress, and disruption during our wedding planning process.
We recommend that couples considering this venue ensure all communication and expectations are clearly documented in writing before making any payments, and conduct their own due diligence through publicly available records such as the North Carolina Secretary of State. I cannot stress this last part enough. -

Before Booking, I didn’t see the reviews of the venue. Please save yourself the stress and the depression that follows. The venue is very beautiful but not worth dealing with Brian. We were set to say our I Do’s! In October 31,2020, But COVID hit and was unable to get married. I booked the entire Venue with a large deposit. Brian refused to book a different date for the following fall. Per Brian we could only book from his dates that consisted of January- March 2021 for a wedding over 300 guest and not to mention we were still in lockdown and would be breaking state regulations. We took Brian to court won, Half of the deposit back but until now we have not received a dime.
