    Best Team Ever

    When my husband and I toured the Allegro for the first time, we were smitten. We wanted a venue that had personality, that felt uniquely Chicago, and just felt special. Check, check, check. But little did we know that the best part about the Allegro isn't even the venue itself (which, again, is amazing): it's the team they have in place there. Kim, our venue coordinator, was an absolute magic maker. She answered every single one of my (many) questions in the months and weeks and days and literally hours leading up to our wedding quickly and kindly and helpfully. She was there on the day making sure everything flowed smoothly. She thought to ask me things that I forgot to ask her about! As someone who decided to plan a wedding without a wedding planner, Kim put my mind at such ease. And don't forget about the rest of the team! Their chef, when we asked if they had a winter version of a spring/summer appetizer, said "no, but I'll make you one!" and it was one of our favorite things on the menu. And it had competition, because the food here is INCREDIBLE. And we actually got to taste everything, because Kim set aside a drink and appetizers for us in a private room after the ceremony! From the bar staff to the bellhop to the general manager, we were so well taken care of. Plus, being able to have our getting ready spaces, photos, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all under one roof in February was priceless. Oh, and our guests had a blast, too.

    I could go on and on about how grateful we are to have had our wedding at the Allegro, but I'll stop with this: if you're even thinking about it, start the conversation.

    Amazing venue and team!

    I cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Alyssa and Hotel Allegro. Simply put, I would not hesitate to recommend this Chicago venue to every- and anyone.

    For some context, my wife and I had our wedding February 2019. When we were looking for a venue, we wanted a location that would be able to accommodate about 150 guests and provide a historic-looking backdrop to our ceremony and reception. We also wanted the venue to be a one-stop shop for our guests who wanted to avoid the cold and provide a central location where they would either not need to go far to get what they needed (like coffee) or never leave the venue at all. Since we were planning everything ourselves, we also wanted to work with a venue that had our backs and could hold our hands through the planning process. The Allegro delivered.

    The venue was a perfect blend of historic and modern, which was as elegant as it was fun. For a winter wedding, the centralized location was perfect. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed their experience—so much so that there were a few bookings that happened during dinner. Keeping the Allegro’s bar open late was a hit with our guests, who were able to continue celebrating and enjoying one another’s company until early morning.

    Since our wedding, the complements to the Allegro venue and staff haven’t stopped pouring in. Everything from ambiance to the evening dinner was picturesque. Many said that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding.

    Lastly, the staff at the Allegro, especially Alyssa Alexander, our contact and coordinator, deserve the highest praise. Leading up to the wedding, each meeting with Alyssa was a breath of fresh air. Alyssa’s list of vendor recommendations allowed us to assemble the all-star team we wound up with for our wedding and her guidance throughout our planning process ensured that we both stayed on schedule and felt confident in our decisions. Any question we had was addressed quickly and thoughtfully.

    The day before and the day of our wedding, Alyssa made sure that we stayed grounded, stress-free, and confident that everything was being handled and handled well. Our vendor coordination was so smooth, we were never brought into it or were aware of any issues. Any time we reached out to Alyssa with an issue that popped up, she was there to take it off our hands. When the best man forgot the tie for his tux, Alyssa ran down the street to Macy’s to pick one up for him in time for our photos and ceremony.

    This is truly a five star venue with service that bests most, and we cannot recommend this venue more highly for an unforgettable Chicago wedding.

    Beautiful venue for a steal

    My husband and I got married at Hotel Allegro on 2/29/2020 and the venue and staff absolutely killed it. First of all, the hotel is so beautiful and right in the heart of the city. The accommodations for wedding room blocks are incredibly reasonably priced (a big part of what sold us) and compared to most venues we looked at in the city the costs associated with the space were much more appealing. Paige Leffert was our coordinator and she was easily the best and most impressive part of working with Hotel Allegro. She responded to my millions of emails leading up to the big day and was so focused on my husband and I having a special day while also executing all the details we wanted flawlessly. She made the day of so much less stressful because we knew everything was in good hands. Besides all this, the food was incredible (some of the best wedding food ever, according to a lot of our guests) and the ease of holding an event here was incredible. It's a beautiful spot for couples that want to have everything in one space and there's an awesome staff behind it to boot.

    A perfect reception!

    Alyssa, Paige and the rest of the Allegro team were wonderful to work with. One of the main reasons we wanted to have a hotel for our reception venue was for the convenience - both for our guests and ourselves planning the wedding - and Hotel Allegro did not disappoint. We secured our date about 14 months in advance. Alyssa and Paige always responded quickly throughout the planning process. All of the food was incredible, and the entrees were very generous portion sizes. We rented the Starlet hospitality suite for the bridal party to get ready in and for a Sunday coffee & pastries farewell which worked out wonderfully. The ballroom was a perfect space for our reception (we had about 140 people), and it is a beautiful space event without adding much extra decor to it.

    Beautiful Venue, Amazing Service, Competitive Pricing

    My partner and I chose Hotel Allegro to host our wedding this past weekend and we could not be happier with our experience. The staff and wedding coordinator were incredible to work with. We received so many compliments from our guests on the food, staff and overall venue ambiance. The price was very competitive with other venues in the city. My parents also hosted a day after brunch as well, which exceeded expectations. If you are looking for a beautiful venue in Chicago, with excellent food and service, please check out the Hotel Allegro!

    Incredible Venue and Amazing Staff

    Hands down the most magical and incredible place to be married! We absolutely loved the décor and design in this one of a kind Chicago hotel. We got SO many compliments on our wedding and the venue. However, what is even better than the venue is the team at Hotel Allegro led by Alyssa Alexander. She is beyond perfection. Her team made the entire process super smooth and the weekend of our wedding they legit made us feel like royalty. I am obsessed with everything about Hotel Allegro and highly reco having your wedding there! If you do, no need for a planner as Alyssa is THE BEST OF THE BEST!

    I can't imagine every wanting to go anywhere else. Every staff member we have worked with so far has been over the top amazing! They are so accommodating and friendly, it's no wonder they have every weekend booked. They also only host one weeding per day so all their focus is on you. The venue is so gorgeous with a 1920's style and decor, I can't wait for the photos to happen!

    We just had our wedding here this past weekend, and I truly cannot say enough positive things about Hotel Allegro. Alyssa, our coordinator, was communicative, calming, organized, and extremely well-suited for the job! Any questions I had, she answered very quickly. She made me feel like we were in such good hands throughout the last year of planning. The hotel staff is awesome and professional, but also charismatic and not stuffy! The lobby is beautiful... we kept the lobby bar open another two hours after the wedding which was a hit with our guests. We also had at least 100 family members stay there throughout the weekend and they couldn’t compliment the hotel enough either. Our wedding was phenomenal, with Alyssa helping organize all of the vendors - quartet, lighting, flowers, hair and makeup, and the DJ. They flipped the ballroom for our reception in one hour and made it look beautiful. All of the guests loved the food. We are just simply on cloud nine after our amazing weekend here. Not one thing went wrong, thank you Hotel Allegro!!!!

    Kimpton Hotels were referred to me over and over by people in the wedding industry. When I saw the Allegro, I knew immediately it was where I wanted to be married. Paige Leffert was outstanding in both the planning and execution. I kept telling her to go home, but she stayed to make sure every detail was executed exactly how we talked about. She also kept her cool and probably did some magic in the back to calm down the staff after my loud, boisterous family decided at the last minute they wanted all the family pictures taken in the ceremony room. Coming from the event industry makes me hyper aware of what it takes to execute a perfect event and the Hotel Allegro succeeded. Thanks to all!

    I would definitely recommend Hotel Allegro for your wedding room block. The hotel has excellent decor, is clean and updated. Our bridal party got ready there and my husband and I did our first look near the lobby. We worked with several people, who were all very kind and accommodating. Most notably though, Josh was there to answer every single question we had and truly made our lives easier throughout the wedding planning process.

    My husband and I reserved a room block with Hotel Allegro for our wedding on March 4, 2017. I work in the area and frequently walk past Hotel Allegro and the valet and doormen are always so friendly, even though I'm just a pedestrian walking past their hotel. Because of that and the fact that the exterior of the building is gorgeous, I always had an idea that I wanted to check it out for our wedding when the time came. After seeing the huge suites and the beautiful guest rooms, I knew I wanted to book our room block here— Not to mention, the room rate was so reasonable (the cheapest in the city and their suites were the largest we saw by FAR) and Brianna was incredible to work with. During our stay, the staff was extremely accommodating to all of our requests (needing more chairs, cleaning our suites, providing tables and any additional amenities that we needed) and on the evening of our wedding they had a bottle of champagne and fruit waiting for us when we returned. Our out of town guests are still raving about the service and their stay. Overall, I'm super happy with the experience and look forward to hopefully finding an excuse to stay at Hotel Allegro soon.

    Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Hotel Allegro played a huge part in that. This venue is beyond breathtaking. The time and detail that was put in to designing this hotel was second to none. Everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful the entire hotel was. KT and Carlos (the wedding and banquet coordinators) were incredible. We had our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, ceremony and reception all at the hotel and not a single thing went wrong. They were incredibly attentive and helpful. KT even occupied my nephew when he got fussy during the ceremony so his father could still watch. Carlos made sure our every want was catered to during the reception. The hotel also gave us a great rate for guests and our guests loved the modern vibe. The perks they include in their packages also help make a downtown Chicago wedding a little more manageable. There is not enough space to say all of the good things about this hotel and it's staff. If you are looking to have a perfect Chicago wedding this is absolutely the place!!

    KT Thompson and her staff not only met expectations, they exceeded them. From the outset, her attention to detail and follow through were excellent. The staff was accommodating and the venue absolutely top notch in service, style and food. Guests raved about the food. The Savoy room for the cocktail hour was an elegant library setting and the reception room had a classic look to it with the ambience of a 1930's style night club overlooking the bustling city lights and Elevated trains which silently rumbled by adding a " only in Chicago " feel. No one ever had to seek out an appetizer or wait in typical bar lines for cocktails. The lobby before the reception made for a great area to meet and greet guests and relax as well. The food service staff was attentive and the good was excellent. I couldn't recommend or endorse this hotel and their staff any higher.

    My daughter's wedding reception was held at Hotel Allegro and we couldn't be happier. KT Thompson and her team were professional and very detailed in every aspect. I didn't have to worry about anything. They were very responsive when we had questions or concerns. The hotel staff was polite and very accommodating. Half of our guests were from out of town and everyone was very happy with the service. The hotel is beautiful and the lobby bar is a great gathering place. My guests are still talking about how good the food was. I would highly recommend having a wedding there.

    We just held our reception at Hotel Allegro on New Year's Eve, and everything went perfectly! KT, the event director, was absolutely amazing from start to finish -- she made sure that everything went flawlessly and even handled a few vendor issues we had that were outside of her scope. She also ensured that every detail was executed flawlessly, and she was completely up to speed with all the elements of our wedding. She also provided expert advice throughout my planning process and I really valued her expertise. Finally, we just loved the venue with its "modern art deco" style and got so many compliments from our guests on the space, the food & the flow. I would highly recommend working with Hotel Allegro, and if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't do it anywhere else!

    We had our daughter's wedding at the Allegro Hotel and I must say the service was great. They paid attention to details and made sure we were satisfied each step of the way. The service crew was right on top of each item that needed attention. The food was fantastic and all our guests were very impressed with the quality from the salad to the main dish. We recommend the Allegro Hotel and it's new renovation to anyone.

    We loved DJing at the Allegro Hotel!!!!

    We just DJed an epic wedding here this past February!!!! Not only is every room gorgeous and basically spotless, their Art Deco theme adds the perfect elegant & classy touch your looking for. Staff, food, rooms, etc. A++++

    I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel Allegro. The space is beautiful, including both common areas (ballroom, lobby, event rooms) and guest rooms and suites. The staff is the friendliest and most accommodating I've ever encountered. KT in particular is a gem -- she worked with us from start to finish and kept impressing us at every turn. Her positive attitude and quick thinking ensured that we felt well taken care of throughout the entire process, and that our wedding weekend went off without a hitch. We truly had the time of our lives and it is all thanks to KT and her professional and fabulous staff. We have been receiving loads of feedback from our guests, including a large quantity that touts ours as "the best wedding I've ever attended." Everything ran smoothly from start to finish -- a/v and ceremony/reception set-up were done perfectly, movement of guests through the different spaces was flawless, everyone I spoke with really loved their rooms (our suite was beautiful, I can't wait to see our getting-read photos), and THE FOOD! A lot of folks have reservations about hotel wedding food, and I tend to be on of them. Not so at Hotel Allegro. We did our dinner in stations and everything was delectable and impressed beyond anything I could have imagined. THANK YOU to Hotel Allegro and every single person who was involved in our special day. We are so grateful to each and every one of you for making our day truly perfect.

    Hotel Allegro exceeded all of our expectations. Their event coordinator, Kerry, was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. She was very responsive and made everything very easy on us. On the day of the wedding everything was completely seamless. The ballroom looked beautiful for our ceremony and reception, the food was excellent (people were commenting over and over about how much they enjoyed the dinner) the staff was extremely efficient and friendly...we really couldn't have asked for anything more.
    In addition, their event pricing is quite reasonable compared to other upscale hotels in the area.
    We were happy with everything from start to finish at the Allegro and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, unique and sophisticated place to host their wedding.

    The staff, decor, and organization of this boutique hotel are just as polished as they advertise. I wouldn't have settled for anything less, and I am grateful to have shared such a spectacular venue with my friends and family on my wedding day. From the food, to the settings, to the sequence of our day, every detail was beyond perfect.

    Bjorn and I are beyond grateful for the wonderful wedding we had at Hotel Allegro. When we first went to see the venue, we walked in knowing it was perfect. The decor, the wonderful fragrance when you walk-in, the grand lobby, the welcoming staff, the proximity of the ceremony, reception and cocktail hour all within feet of each other - it was honestly all of the things we were looking for in our downtown wedding and only found at this venue. On our wedding day, KT and her staff ran the show! Our guests were so impressed with the venue and service and the food was excellent. Not one detail was left for us to figure out - KT was always 3 steps ahead. KT and Hotel Allegro gave us a night we will never forget and we are extremely grateful for each and every person that put thought and time into our big day!

    Hotel Alegro is a beautiful setting for a special event. Working with their event coordinator Carlos made the event almost easy. The room and the options that the hotel offers make for a special and momentous event. The front desk had some difficulties with check in and keeping everything organized for our large amount of guest. However, make sure that you reserve the hospitality suite located on the top floor of the hotel, it helped to keep the groomsmen occupied throughout the day.

    A Wedding to Remember

    Hotel Allegro had an amazing team of professionals helping with the wedding we hosted. The hotel was very accommodating and flexible when details needed to be altered. Kim Enderle was an amazing planner and was super accommodating to work with. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel for a wedding reception.

    Perfect Wedding Experience

    My daughter had her wedding at Hotel Allegro. Besides the beautiful ballroom, the experience was amazing. Paige took care of every detail - no need for a wedding planner. Hotel was very responsive to all of our needs. Food was wonderful and every staff member we encountered was very professional and helpful. I highly recommend!
