We felt she was a good fit for us and we knew she would make us look great as well as provide lasting memories from our wedding that we would still cherish many years from now. She is also just a really nice caring person which was evident from our first meeting with her and she is truly a pleasure to work with! Out of the blue like that I realized that I never left a formal review for my dear Terri. After almost 3 years married and a whole one year old I'm finally getting around letting the world know how amazing Terri is! From her professionalism to her work, 10/10 across the board. Things you couldn't even imagine went wrong on our wedding day. But hiring Terri is and will always be the best decision I've made. I can never thank you enough for the way you helped me during that day Terri. I don't need to tell everyone what happened cause you were there every step of the way. Wearing hats you could've declined to wear. Thank you so very much. I love you forever!
Now to here work! Ladies and gents, Terri has such a great eye! The pictures came out so beautifully! Despite the lack of sun on our wedding day, I can honestly say, no photographer will ever capture my husband and I the way Terri did. We looked so good!!! Since 2018, I can't stop looking at the pictures!

Terri is a photographer that was suggested to us by our wedding planner. Once I reviewed her Instagram account I was immediately hooked. I told my planner if Terri was available we would absolutely love to work with her because her work speaks for itself. Terri is incredibly personable and creative. She can really capture you in the best lighting. Terri also helps you with posing so you don’t have to think so hard, and that also makes the shoot more comfortable. Terri is so professional and ridiculously talented. The value and quality of her work and skillset is worth every dollar and then some.
My now husband and I first met Terri at our engagement shoot. We all instantly connected at the shoot and became friends more than just clients. She made us feel so comfortable and the entire day was so much fun. Terri works hard for you and makes sure that she gets you some really good shots. She has so much vision when it comes to her photographs. She will see a landscape or a pose and be like, “stand right there and look that way.” And then boom somehow you have this amazingly epic photo that you couldn’t have imagined would look as good as it does. That is artistry right there.
Our wedding day was even more amazing. Terri must be incredibly organized because it really felt like she was in 100 places at once, and was able to capture every moment of our wedding by herself. That is proper planning and execution at its finest. After perusing our full gallery I couldn’t really understand how she did it all and captured every aspect of the wedding with so much craftsmanship. When we saw the sneak peeks we knew the entire gallery was going to be amazing, and it was.
I can’t stress enough how important and worthwhile a qualified photographer is to capture your wedding day or any special moment in your life. Photography and videography were two things I could not skimp on and I am thrilled and blessed to say Terri really delivered when it came to showcasing our love story. I can relive my wedding day through her lens and that really means so much to me. I am so thankful for Terri and my wedding planning team. They made this experience so special for me and my husband. We can’t thank them enough so we will try to do so by HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING them! 10/10 highly recommend!!!!! If you want a thoughtful, creative, professional, kind, motivational photographer who builds people up around her, go with Terri! :)

Professional, Passionate, Perfect!
I met Terri Basking a little over 3 years ago. She was the wedding photographer for my best friend's wedding and I served as the Maid of Honor. The first thing that captured my attention was her positive energy. By the end of the day, Terri felt more like a friend instead of a photographer. Fast forward 2 years later my fiance and I were booking her for our engagement shoot. Terri exudes professionalism and is very passionate about her work. She has the ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of her lens all while making sure that you are having the time of your life. There was not a time during our engagement shoot or wedding day that we were worried about how we would pose or if we were positioned awkwardly because Terri had us covered. This was by far one of the best decisions that my husband and I made during our wedding planning journey. We are so glad that we found our forever photographer and we can't wait to work with Terri again to help us document our future milestones. -

Hiring Terri Baskin was the best decision we made during wedding planning. Her photography is incredible and beautiful. My husband and I do not like being the center of attention, and she made us feel so comfortable and ensured that our engagement session and wedding session were fun and easy. Her direction and bubbly personality allowed us to feel ourselves. We loved having her be a part of our day and time. She took the time to get to know us, advised us on what to wear for the engagement session, and answered every question we had. Absolute Perfection!
We used Terri to capture the proposal, and our wedding, which included an engagement shoot (in NYC). Our photos were stunning, and told a beautiful story. In each picture the lighting and angles were perfect. She was very patient and got every shot we requested. Thanks to Terri, we have memories to cherish for a lifetime. I just knew when I did get engaged I definitely wanted to use her. An Absolutely Brilliant Photographer
Terri was absolutely incredible and truly one of a kind. We cannot recommend her highly enough! She listened to what we wanted and made it happen. From our engagement shoot through to the delivery of our final photographs after the wedding, Terri was there with us every step of the way to make this moment in our lives truly special.
She’s smart, resourceful, and thinks on her feet. She was an absolute pro not only with the lens, but in making sure that your day ran smoothly (and no one pulled anything crazy with your time—cause trust me, they will try).
Terri is down for whatever makes your happy. She doesn’t try and impose her thoughts on you. She trusts your vision, but also is never ever ever shy to make game-changing suggestions. If something seems off, Terri will definitely let you know. And you will thank her for it.
She’s a problem solver. It rained on our wedding day, which changed the game on some ideas we had for photos and a first look. But she improvised—clear, classy umbrella; plan B for a first look in our chapel. Everything was breathtaking and she solved the problem before it even caused us any stress.
Her photography is incredibly. People raved about my wedding photos. They said they were the best they’ve ever seen. Terri is an artist and an expert at what she does. And she’s only been in the game doing weddings for less than half a decade? I can’t even imagine what the future holds for her. She will truly be a leader in the industry.
Not only will you not be disappointed by Terri. You will be so thankful you chose her.
And one last super important thing. I know you think the most important thing in this evaluation is how good your wedding photos will come out, right? Fair. But Terri is also just an incredibly kind, good person. She is sweet, funny, easy going. Her energy is just—Zen. I know not everyone cares about this... but having that around on your wedding day: priceless. -

We found Terri while casually scrolling through our Instagram and after seeing her photos and high quality of work, we knew she was the photographer we needed to capture our big day! Terri is professional, easy to work with, and ensured that we were happy throughout the entire process.
She shot both our engagement and our wedding pictures and was an incredible photographer, paying attention to even the most particular details. She was beyond accommodating, helpful, and patient with my husband and I as we took our photos. (My husband is not a fan of the camera but Terri ensured to make it a fun process and he was able to enjoy taking our photos with Terri!) She responds quickly to every email, phone call, and text and walked us through every single detail and the timeline for the wedding.
Terri was extremely fun and positive throughout the entire event which was noticed by all of our guests and made the wedding even more enjoyable! The pictures we received were absolutely stunning and she managed to capture candid moments that we will cherish forever.
We recommend Terri to every single couple looking for a high quality photographer!! It will be the best decision you will make during the long and tiring wedding process! Terri and her team were absolutely INCREDIBLE for my destination wedding. She and her team member captured breathtaking moments from our wedding and ensured that the photos represented the spirit of the wedding weekend! My wedding took place during the early summer (in Punta Mita, Mexico), and while BEAUTIFUL, was SUPER HOT! Somehow she managed to take tons of beautiful pictures of the groom and I (despite my concern that I would look like I was dripping sweat). Terri managed to get it done! The photos and edits were also sent to us well before the promised deadline. I would recommend Terri Baskin Photography to anyone looking for a gifted professional to spend their very special day with them. -
Kara Sent on 08/31/2018Terri is FANTASTIC. I found Terri on IG and immediately loved her style. We booked Terri for both our engagement and wedding photos and I’m so glad we did. My husband hates to take pictures and Terri was able to get him to open up during our engagement shoot which made shooting on our wedding day much easier. She has a great eye but also listened to our suggestions when it came to photos we wanted to capture. We received our wedding photos a few days ago and although I’ve looked at them probably 100 times now, I still can’t decide on which is my favorite because they are all so great. You will not regret having Terri as part of your wedding day team.

My wedding AND engagement shoot had to be on the two hottest days of the year and yet she still managed to give us an amazing experience and product. Once you give her your vision, she is able to take it and run with it. Aside from her fabulous pictures, her calm yet professional demeanor makes you feel comfortable and at ease. My then Fiancé and I were looking for someone who was local to the Fredericksburg area, reasonable in price, and someone who is clearly talented and passionate about what they do. Terri Baskin is all that and more! We also appreciated the fact that she gave us the time and attention that we deserved. She not only took amazing photos for our engagement session and wedding, she also helped us with outfit selections, engagement location advice, and was very directional and helpful when it came to poses during each photo session. Having someone who can articulate the different poses is key and Terri made us feel like we were naturals. I would definitely recommend Terri to anyone who is looking for photography services. -

Not only did her style of shooting fit with what we were looking for, but she has such a warm and inviting personality that we instantly connected with. She even suggested a different location than we originally planned to take our pictures and it was much better than the original location. Her vision is unbelievable! I researched and searched for the perfect wedding photographer for monthsssss! I went to at least 6 bridal shows between Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. Bridal shows are so overwhelming and almost all of the photographers guarantee that they are the best and give you a long list of why you should hire them. I was interested in two other wedding photographer team's (husband and wife). However, I just wasn't sold and I could not figure out why, their work was awesome too. I finally took a break from wedding planning because I became overwhelmed. When I finally began again, I remembered my high school friend referred me to her church photographer. I have to admit that I was skeptical, but I finally went to Terri's website and was blown away! I immediately emailed her and prayed that she was available for my big day. She immediately responded. We set a date to meet and from our first meeting I just KNEW Terri was IT! From that day I didn't look at another website or package(that's big for me) I'm so indecisive. We had to reschedule our engagement session a few times and not once did Terri make me feel bad for having to reschedule. She's so laid back and understanding. Our engagement session was so much fun! We felt as if we were just on a date and Terri just happened to be there to capture our day. Our photos were AMAZINGLY beautiful! I kept looking at them like, "how did she make us look so good?" Fast forward to our wedding day. The rain, cold and the bridal party running late didn't hinder Terri for capturing our day perfectly! A month later and we still have people asking who our photographer was? I am so thankful for Terri! She is kind, thoughtful, understanding, funny and just a cool gal! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Terri! -

Terri was a great photographer, and her portfolio of work speaks for itself. There’s no doubt that her pictures are excellent.
What you won’t see by looking at her portfolio is the person behind the lens-Terri. We were very satisfied with Terri’s services for both our engagement session and wedding. She was down-to-earth and made us feel comfortable. We were a pretty hands on couple and had a vision for what we wanted. I appreciated that Terri listened to the creative ideas that we had, let us run with them, and was flexible with locations that we suggested. When some schedule adjustments happened, Terri was open and honest about how that would impact the need for photography and costs, even if it meant her refunding us. What I liked most is that Terri always made us feel like it was our moment and listened to our ideas/concerns.
The only advice I would have for couples is to practice poses together ahead of time with your partner. Terri does a good job with giving you guidance, so this isn’t a knock on her, but only you know (and oftentimes notice) what things you care about in your pics. Still, what’s great about Terri is that she gives you lots of options, so even if there are a few poses that you really dislike, you’ll find just as many and more that you will really love. With Terri behind the camera, trust me, you’ll have plenty of captured memories to fill your home and photo albums.
I’d highly recommend Terri. And, big shout out to her for her help! -
