Amazing Autumn Wedding
Tea Pond Lodge and Cabins was the most beautiful venue for our son and daughter-in-laws wedding . The outdoor pavilion is perfect for a wedding or any other gatherings. We couldn't have asked for a better day, everything was perfect! The owners are wonderful and so friendly they feel like family, the staff were excellant and the food was amazing. We loved it so much that we will be returning to their restaurant for dinner very soon! Thank you so much Sandy and Craig for an incredible day and lots of wonderful memories!Tea Pond Lodge and Cabins was the most beautiful venue for our son and daughter-in-laws wedding . Dream Wedding
My family and I started visiting Tea Pond Lodge & Cabins shortly after Sandy and Craig purchased the property and built the new lodge. We were all enamored by the property. The restaurant and lodge are so cozy. comfortable and welcoming. Not to mention the 100+ year old cabins are beautiful, rustic and very clean(!). Every ski trip to Sugarloaf soon required a visit to Tea Pond.
I was in a relationship of 2-3 years after our first couple of visits and I knew immediately that I wanted to get married one day at this amazing place as my now husband and I are huge outdoor enthusiasts. I asked Sandy if they would ever consider hosting a wedding and coincidentally, they had very rough plans to build an event pavilion. Fast forward 2 years, my husband and I got engaged and Sandy and Craig were teetering on the decision to build the pavilion. It was the perfect match - I needed a wedding venue and they needed a special event. People always asked me if I was nervous about booking a venue that didn't fully exist yet, but I had complete confidence in Sandy, Craig and their staff that they would deliver an amazing event.
Every planning visit throughout our year engagement was professional, fun, and organized. Sandy & her team continually kept in communication with me regarding plans and the construction of the pavilion - often sending me weekly photo updates.
When the wedding weekend arrived, the pavilion was not only complete, but BLEW ME AWAY. This structure is very much a labor of love - Sandy, Craig, and their incredible families built almost the entire pavilion on their own. The love, time, attention to detail, and keen eye for sophisticated, rustic design are evident in every element.
I should note that we booked the entire property for the full weekend. We had every cabin filled, used the lodge for the rehearsal dinner and wedding cocktail hour, the pavilion for the reception and got married on the dock. It made for an even more special weekend that we could stay put in one place with all of our friends and family.
Our wedding was everything that I could've imagined and more. The staff was so helpful and kind. The lodge, pavilion, and cabins were beautiful - I gave Sandy a design vision and she knocked it out of the park. They were very flexible with letting me essentially do whatever I wanted with the property (ex. take the furniture out of the lodge, removing signage, moving boats around, etc.) so I could have exactly what I envisioned for the weekend. Furthermore, Greg, the head chef, is not only one of the nicest people that I've ever met, but a phenomenal cook. The food for the rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, reception and post-wedding brunch was incredible. Our guests are still raving about his food and talent.
Most of our guests are are from urban areas like Boston and Portland and when we told them we getting married in Eustis, ME they looked at us like we were crazy. The property is definitely remote, but do not let that deter you from hosting an event there. Everyone LOVED it. It truly is one of the most unique places I have ever seen. It is a private, intimate, sophisticated setting coupled with the raw beauty of western Maine's mountains and lakes.
I would 100% recommend anyone to host their special event at Tea Pond. Sandy, Craig, Greg and the rest of the staff have become a part of our family and I am so grateful for their love, support and professionalism through the planning and execution of our wedding. My family and I started visiting Tea Pond Lodge & Cabins shortly after Sandy and Craig purchased the property and built the new lodge. Sheridan thank you for all of the kind words. I must say reading your review brought back all of the memories we made together planning your day / weekend what fun it was! We all still talk about how beautiful of a bride you were and how beautiful and wonderful the entire family and wedding group were as well. Working with you and Eric made it fun, thank you.
Can't wait to see all of you soon.

Our Summer Solstice Destination Wedding
Our summer solstice "destination" wedding at Tea Pond, was Craig & Sandy's first at their newly renovated mountain resort. We filled every cabin on the property and every room in the lodge, even had a couple of campers too. From the delicious Friday night rehearsal dinner to our lovely late afternoon ceremony & reception, everything was extraordinary. Our 108 guests were relaxed and enjoyed immense sunrises, four wheeling, fishing, swimming, bonfires and each other all in a beautiful Maine western mountain setting. Craig and Sandy didn't miss a beat and if there was a "blip" (and what wedding doesn't have a blip or 2?) they were right there with us working through it. Their venue has only gotten better over the years. This place is magnificent. The attention to detail and the special "little things" we experienced did not go unnoticed. We love Tea Pond, and visit often. We met Craig & Sandy 5 years ago as "clients" reserving their resort for our special day. We've been friends since.
My review is only "half way there" you've got to check this place out, it will steal your breath from the minute you turn the corner. Our summer solstice "destination" wedding at Tea Pond, was Craig & Sandy's first at their newly renovated mountain resort.
