Tara was the perfect makeup artist for my wedding! I barely wear makeup for even special occasions and felt immediately at ease with Tara. I’m a private person, so please excuse the lack of photos in this public review, but Tara’s work is truly incredible!
I had been a bridesmaid in many weddings before my own wedding day, so I had lots of prior experiences with being “dolled up” for a wedding party. This felt nothing like that - I didn’t feel layers of makeup caking my face. I have chronic acne - which of course was in full force on my wedding day from all the stress of wedding planning, but you couldn't see any of it by the time Tara finished! Instead, I looked like an elevated version of myself on my wedding day.
I had a large bridal party and Tara and her team (Amy & Allie - thank you so much!) did a fantastic job of making sure all of my bridesmaids and family who were getting makeup done felt comfortable and got the looks they wanted. Everyone looked truly stunning all day and the process for doing makeup for 11 people plus the bride felt like a breeze, even though I’m sure it took lots of careful coordination and planning on Tara’s part to make sure we all were ready on time, including touch ups.
Lastly but certainly not least. I slipped and fell a few months before the wedding and managed to give myself a concussion, which I was still recovering from on my wedding day. Despite this less-than-ideal situation, Tara helped me re-arrange the morning-of makeup schedule so I could include more rest breaks to save my energy for later. It all worked out and I was still able to dance the night away. Tara provided a great touch up kit (which I didn’t end up needing but which felt like a great security blanket to have just in case). And removal at the end of the day was easy too - she gave me just the right makeup remover I needed to make sure I could get my fake eyelashes off at the end of the night! I truly felt like a princess the whole day and Tara and her team were essential to helping make my wedding vision come true! Thanks so much Tara! -

I cannot recommend Tara enough! She did both my makeup and my mother’s makeup and hair for my wedding, and we were absolutely blown away by how beautiful everything turned out. From the very beginning, she was professional, caring, and truly listened to what we wanted.
One thing that really stood out was her expertise with Asian features. She enhanced our natural beauty so flawlessly while still making us feel completely like ourselves. The makeup photographed beautifully, lasted all day and night, and looked stunning both in person and in pictures.
She made my mother feel so confident and beautiful, which meant so much to me on such a special day. Her attention to detail, talent, and warm personality made the entire experience stress-free. I’m so grateful she was part of our wedding day and would recommend her to anyone looking for a talented artist who truly understands how to bring your vision to life. -

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Tara as my bridal artist, and I couldn't be happier with the experience with her! From my trial to the day of the wedding, she was incredibly professional, organized, and detail-oriented, which made the entire process feel less stressful. What stood out to me was how flexible and accommodating Tara was. She really took the time to listen to my preferences and made sure my vision came to life exactly how I imagined it... even though I changed my mind so many times! I never felt rushed or pressured and she continuously checked in to ensure I felt completely satisfied with the adjustments.
I highly recommend her to anyone - not just asian brides - for your next special event! -

Tara is the absolute best!!! I hired her as my MUA for my wedding day, and everything about the experience was perfect. From the first time I reached out to Tara, all of her communication was very professional and her contract process was straightforward & clear. She took the time to ask questions and get to know me during our trial so we were already very comfortable working together on the wedding day. One of my bridesmaids also has a lot of sensitivities to ingredients used in make up products, and Tara was incredible about checking things in her kit and making recommendations. Couldn't recommend her enough! -

When I was looking for a makeup artist, I was honestly a little nervous — I don’t wear makeup often, and I wasn’t sure how certain looks would work with my Filipino features. But from our very first conversation, Tara completely put me at ease. We bonded on a cultural level, and she understood exactly how to enhance my natural features while keeping everything comfortable and true to me.
For my trial, we went with a soft glam look. By the wedding day, I was thinking about maybe doing less eyeshadow, a more dramatic lash, and a pinker blush — and when I saw Tara that morning, she suggested those exact things to me! She took the words right out of my mouth. It felt like we were on the same wavelength. A wedding morning is already so stressful, but having that moment with her definitely set the tone for the day. I knew I could trust that I was going to look amazing.
On the day of the wedding, my makeup was perfect. I got married in July and my makeup lasted through everything — the garden photos in the humidity, all the dancing and happy tears, and even eating all the delicious food! Despite it all, my makeup still looked fresh and flawless from start to finish.
I absolutely loved how everything turned out. Tara made me feel confident, beautiful, and still like myself. When I got my wedding photos and video back I was surprised - I looked even better than I had remembered! 😂 I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I can’t recommend her enough! -

Tara was an EXCEPTIONAL MUA. She was professional throughout the whole process, and was able to execute my look and vision for my wedding perfectly. I was complimented all day and am still getting complimented on how effortless my makeup looked on my wedding. My favorite part? I did not cake up and the makeup lasted ALL day and night, even through dancing and the after party.
She was able to enhance my features and created a sultry but elegant look for my wedding vision. Tara and her assistant MUA, Amy, were the perfect duo in taking care of me and my bridesmaids the morning of. I was so confident in Tara that I knew regardless of what she did I would feel fabulous.
I will most definitely be booking Tara for my future events!! She is a queen. -

Tara was the absolute best. When you hire Tara, you're getting an artist!! It's so hard to do makeup that looks natural but still elevated and lasts all night long. Tara NAILED it. She'll bring out the most beautiful parts of your face. She also has a great, calm, positive, and warm energy, which is exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. She kept my family and friends on schedule and efficient but in a totally chill way. We loved every minute of it. I could not recommend her more strongly. -

I had the absolute best experience with Tara as my wedding makeup and hair artist! It was especially important to me to find a makeup and hair artist with experience and expertise working with Asian features, and Tara exceeded all my expectations.
From the very start, she was incredibly helpful and patient, even when I wasn’t entirely sure about the look I wanted. When I changed my mind halfway through the planning process, she remained consultative, flexible, and so supportive, which made me feel completely confident in her hands.
On the big day, Tara brought my vision to life flawlessly. She also managed hair and makeup for my bridesmaids by coordinating with her talented partners, making the entire process seamless and stress-free for me.
What truly stood out was how organized, friendly, and personable Tara was. By the end of the process, she felt more like a friend than just a vendor, turning what could have been a stressful experience into something effortless and enjoyable.

Tara was amazing from beginning to end. She was able to work with my wife when it came to hair and makeup ( she never wears makeup or does her hair) My wife felt so confident on our wedding day as well as myself! I underestimated how much makeup I wanted during the trial. The day of, I told her my concerns and she did an amazing job listening to what I wanted differently. I felt so amazing on my wedding day but also I felt like myself which isn’t always the case when you have someone doing your hair and makeup. If I could give her ten stars I would!! -

Tara was an absolute dream to work with for my wedding! I tend to be very indecisive, so I wasn't quite sure about what I wanted for my own look when I started my search for a hair & makeup team. My bridal party was very ethnically diverse, so I knew I wanted a team that was versatile and experienced with different skin tones and complexions. When I had my initial call with Tara, I knew she was the one for me! She was very understanding and receptive to everything I had to say, and instantly made me feel comfortable. Tara was very communicative and prompt with responses throughout the booking process. When it came time for my bridal preview, I still didn't know exactly what look I wanted, and Tara was super helpful and patient, showing me different options without being pushy at all.
On my wedding day, we made a few last-minute tweaks to the look from my preview day, and I could not have been happier with the final result! Tara and her team were all so talented and a total joy to work with! My entire bridal party felt so happy with their looks; they could not stop taking selfies and thanking the hair and makeup team. Thanks to Tara, I truly felt like a princess on my wedding day but still ultimately felt like ME. Nothing was too over-the-top or out of my comfort zone. I had an incredible experience with Tara as my wedding makeup artist in NYC! She was professional, prompt, and communicated seamlessly throughout the entire process. Even though we couldn’t have an in-person consultation, she accommodated me with a video call to ensure she understood my preferences, which gave me so much peace of mind. On the wedding day, I requested her signature “soft glam” look—which turned out even more beautiful than I imagined. Highly recommend hiring Tara for your glam team!! I found her on instagram and so glad we connected. She is so talented, sweet and professional. Tara was also very punctual and organized - she created a blank schedule for me to fill in the girls names which I found very helpful for the timeline. She is also very easy going and calming. I honestly felt so relaxed the morning of my wedding when I was sitting in her chair getting my makeup done.
I did a bridal preview 4 months before my wedding and I loved it. On the day of my wedding, I wanted to change a few things but didn’t know how to explain it and she still executed my look perfectly! It’s like she read my mind!
Everyone loved their makeup so much and we received so many compliments. My makeup stayed perfect all day and all night even after I cried like 5 times! It was bulletproof! I love the little touch up kit she provided for me as well - it was so cute and thoughtful! I truly felt so beautiful and happy. So glad I chose her to do my bridal makeup!! Tara and Victoria are so talented and skilled in their craft. I would definitely hire her again 💖

Tara did an amazing and stunning job on my wedding day! When I first met Tara, she made me feel comfortable and listened to my concerns. At this point, I felt like we were long-time friends! I did a soft glam look during my bridal trial which I loved but opted to do something more natural on my wedding day. I showed Tara inspirations on what I think would look best on me and guess what, SHE NAILED IT! Not only did she perfect the hair and makeup look, but NOTHING has smudged, transferred, or moved from morning to midnight. To this day, I am still shocked at how she managed to make my makeup stay on and look so fresh despite all of the crying and sweat throughout the day. Loretta was also part of her team which my bridesmaids adore! I can tell that Loretta took the time to make every one of my bridesmaids feel beautiful and confident. The BEST around
I cannot speak more highly about working with Tara Gervacio Beauty. Aside from just being an insanely talented hair and makeup artist, as a vendor, Tara was incredibly responsive, collaborative, transparent and clear about the investment, and was also just an all around lovely person to be around.
She absolutely nailed my look at my wedding trial, and then when my wedding day came, the team that Tara brought (Amy and Kaylyn) were an absolute dream team to work with. They were all incredibly professional, showed up on-time, and brought amazing, positive, and calming vibes to the bridal suite. They were the exact kind of people you want around on the morning of your wedding. Best of all? My mom, my mother in law, and all of my bridesmaids absolutely LOVED their hair and makeup (which I find rare — usually at least one person walks away unsatisfied!).
If the vibe you’re looking for on your wedding day is soft natural glam, PLEASE book Tara Gervacio Beauty. You won't regret it! Truly it was one of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding. -

Tara was my wedding hair and makeup artist last August 5th. I found her through The Knot and I checked out her instagram account and was just amazed by her work. Everyone in her bridal instagram page is beautiful and I knew right away she’s my one! :)
Tara has all the characteristics of a great artist any bride would want for their most special day. I decided not to have a hair and makeup trial. But I kinda felt bad and anxious that Im not going to have the look that I would like for my wedding. Instead of telling me I should have one, she told me it was okay and that she can meet me on FaceTime first. That instantly made me feel better, knowing that she cared and I never felt any pressure from her on purchasing a trial service. So, we met on FaceTime couple months before the wedding. She’s very friendly, nice, and very approachable! She’s like a sister and a friend. She listened to every little thing I said, my concerns, my likes, dislikes etc. She answered all my questions. She made me very comfortable right away. She helped me a lot throughout the process of preparation, like choosing the right color of hair extensions, whats the right length, where to get them etc. (first time to use them)
She’s very good in communicating as well, whether I send her a text message or insta message, she responds quickly and answers all questions I have.
Wedding day: she arrived on time. She sticked with the timing plan and finished on time. She brought and used nice and fancy makeup brands. She listened to my mother in law and my mom’s request for their hair and makeup. They both looked amazing too. I also loved my dewy, simple makeup look! And my high ponytail look. I wanted something different and not too common bridal look and she made me feel really beautiful:) Tara was very professional and approachable. I highly recommend her! Couldn’t thank her enough for making me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day 🥰 -

I came into the wedding hair/makeup experience skeptical because I wear little-to-no makeup in the day to day and I wanted to be sure to feel like myself on my big day. Tara listened closely to my reservations and committed herself to helping me curate just the right bridal look--elevated, but still ME. She helped me sort through inspo pictures, advised on what would and wouldn't work for my face and coloring, spent extra time with me during the trial to make sure we learned everything we needed to learn from that practice round, and came back on the big day with an even more polished look which ended up being PERFECT. And, all while devoting so much attention to me, she and her team still made the rest of my wedding party feel seen, listened to, pampered, and beautiful by the time they stood up out of the chair. Not to mention that everyone's looks suited them perfectly and lasted all night. 10/10 is not enough! -

Tara and her team did an AMAZING job! Tara killed the trial and was super in helping me figure out the most high-impact but low-maintenance look for me. I get VERY sweaty and was really worried about sweating off my face and hair. The suggestions and recommendations Tara made to my initial vision produced the EXACT result I was looking for and the look did not budge from the moment she finished to the moment I wiped it all off at the end of the night. All f the products she used were super high quality and made my skin feel great. Additionally, her team was FABULOUS! They did an AMAZING job on prepping the skin (it felt like a facial!) to the flawless hair and makeup on the bridal party. My best friend said she’s never felt more beautiful and she HATES makeup and getting dressed up, so I consider this the highest compliment. Not to mention Emma spoke Spanish and was able to communicate with my family - that was invaluable to my sanity! 🙃

My everyday makeup look is minimal to none so glamming for my wedding day was exciting but I still wanted to feel natural. Tara works with you from start to finish. The consultation and trial experience put me at ease and she her style really highlights your natural features. Her experience in the industry really shows and her expertise in hair and makeup is apparent in her advice and guidance about what works/looks good. My skin looked dewy, even and smooth (I hate that caked on over contoured look!). My hair (I opted for a sleek updo) and makeup lasted all day including an after party jump in the pool!!! Tara is a true professional, calm and focused for that pre wedding chaos, and she really cares for her clients. I couldn’t recommend her more! -

Tara was my one-woman glam squad for my wedding. She did both my hair and makeup beautifully for my big day. We met beforehand to do a trial to ensure she was prepared to execute flawlessly. We discussed my ideas and she made recommendations that ultimately was the perfect look for me. Dramatic, yet subtle and romantic. Would highly recommend her for anything from weddings to high fashion photo shoots as she is versatile adapting to a large range of looks. -

Not only was my makeup the best it’s ever looked, but i still felt and looked liked myself which was so important to me. She beyond delivered that bridal glow everyone talks about and has the lightest touch as well. Tara is punctual, listens and only uses the best of the best makeup.
She takes her time to make you feel pampered and special, but is also flexible ( I was running late day of my wedding and she rallied and worked with me to deliver the perfect makeup look created from our trial and she knocked it out of the park without sacrificing any of the look and still somehow not making it seem like she was rushing.) Tara is absolutely fantastic! She is so talented in both hair and make-up, but also kinda and thoughtful— giving me a little touch up kit to bring with me as well as some small gifts to celebrate my wedding. My mother and grandmother both looked beautiful and I felt like a natural but enhanced version of myself. My wedding was this July in NYC in 80+ degree heat and both my hair and makeup lasted through the whole day! Thank you so so much Tara! -
