Kate is a dream to work with! Tapestry Event Co. came highly recommended by friends, and was our very first wedding vendor hire 1.5 year before our wedding. She worked hand in hand with us throughout our entire wedding planning journey. As someone who is obsessively over-researched and loves planning myself, I wasn't sure if we even needed a wedding planner - but Kate proved to be an invaluable asset to us. She was a huge help in making decisions (there are seemingly endless decisions to be made when planning a wedding), and helped bring this over-thinker down to earth in all the best ways. She kept us grounded and helped us prioritize the things that truly mattered. She is super organized, responsive, has great relationships with other fantastic vendors in the area, and is just an all around a joy to be around. When curveballs were thrown our way (as they inevitably will be!), she handled it like a pro and came to the table with solutions and action plans. On the day of, her & the whole Tapestry team handled everything beautifully and we couldn't be more grateful to have had them running the show! -

Hiring Kate was the best decision we made during the wedding planning process. I honestly have no idea how we would have gotten through the months leading up to the wedding and the day of without Kate and her team. From the beginning Kate was above and beyond organized and professional. She has an online planning system that has everything you need in one place. She was also very proactive about setting up zoom meetings with us and getting everything organized so we were pretty much ready to go a month in advance. This was extremely important to us because I had to take a board exam for medical school a week before the wedding. Kate was in contact with all of our other vendors so I didn’t have to worry at all and could just focus on my exam. The day of the wedding Kate and her team had a solution for literally everything from my dress falling off because I had lost weight to having to move everything inside due to rain. They are also truly kind, genuine people who bring good vibes and intention to every meeting and interaction. We really felt like Kate both wanted to get to know who we were as people as well as where we were coming from during the planning process. Kate and her team are truly the best! -

We are incredibly fortunate and grateful for Kate. Her advice and expertise was paramount in our wedding planning process. We had multiple conversations over the course of two years as we orchestrated (and ultimately postponed) our ceremony. The professionals at Tapestry Event Company create a safe space for us to express our feelings and have honest conversations. Planning a formal event during a worldwide pandemic was no easy feat, but they were up for the challenge. Kate's optimism and encouragement gave us the confidence that we needed to keep moving forward. Because all of our guests came in from out of town, the Tapestry team helped us with logistics, coordinating, decorating, and so much more. Kate communicated with us every step of the way. We felt supported and prepared because of her leadership. On our wedding day, Kate and her assistants went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fun time. Tapestry Event Company executed our vision perfectly and we couldn't have done it without them.

Super highly recommend! Honestly, I felt like my wedding wasn't really going to a big deal, basically until my wedding day, when I saw what Tapestry had put together for us. It's been a few days now, and I can't stop thinking about how beautiful it was. Kate did most of the communication with my husband and me (and I think much of the coordination) and she also officiated our wedding. Kaska and Chelsea also did some coordination for us. All three are wonderful! My husband and I knew before we contacted any planners that we wanted a very small wedding and that we wanted it to be connected to the outdoors, and the end result was stunning. Tapestry coordinated a very simple and laidback but somehow still incredibly elegant wedding for us. Kate doesn't really assume anything when it comes to wedding structure and traditions, which I really loved about working with her, since my husband and I ignored basically all of the old-fashioned stuff. Despite only having met us two years ago, Kate performed a ceremony that made it seem like we've known each other for decades. Tapestry was also extremely flexible with us, not only when we had to postpone for a year because of the pandemic, but also as we realized that we wanted to make changes to details in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. I cannot recommend Kate and Tapestry highly enough -- if you're looking for a beautiful and adventurous outdoor wedding, you should absolutely choose Tapestry. -

Tapestry delivers everything you didn't know you needed and more
Before we were even engaged, Jeff and I knew we wanted to work with Kate and the Tapestry team to guide us on our wedding planning journey. We started our engagement just as COVID was becoming a reality and the city was shutting down around us. Kate met us at exactly our level and helped us nail down the big things so that we could slow down, and focus on just being engaged and enjoying a lot of time together. Every meeting we felt the calm and confidence that Kate brought, and of course her signature "I love that for you" attitude.
The entire team of Tapestry are rock stars. Bri brought the chill to the crew, between snacks, drinks, steaming dresses, check-ins and mind-reading. Kerri brought the party with her energy, giant smile and superior problem solving skills. Chelsea was the master behind-the-scenes, contacting vendors and finding transportation for our guests. And Kate, she brought everything. She brought the magic, the joy, the assurance, the incomparable professionalism. We could not have had the day we wanted without this team. It was perfection; simply the best. Thank you Tapestry, with all our hearts, forever.

Kristen, Kate, and Chelsea were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! From the beginning Kristen and Kate were extremely welcoming, and full of excitement for our big day. Their passion for value-based weddings and elopements reflected in every meeting we had with them. They listened with intention and ensured that all of the most important aspects of our lives were included in our celebration. Kate and Kristen did not make us feel that our wedding was a cookie-cutter experience. They truly made it a one-of-a-kind weekend that my family will never forget!!! Even through the few hiccups we had, they remained calm and guided us through any anxiety or issues we were having. In the end, the mishaps created changes which only made our wedding much more special and unique! On the day of our wedding, Kristen and Chelsea really went above and beyond. We were unable to find anyone to work food service, so they took it upon themselves to heat our food and plate it (which looked beyond professional)!!! The whole day ran smoothly, and every person in my family raved about our amazing celebration! Kristen and Chelsea were so warm and inviting to everyone, and having them with me seemed to complete my day. Looking back, there is not a SINGLE THING I would change about our wedding weekend, and that is due to the successes of Kate, Kristen, and Chelsea! I truly cannot thank them enough, and I would recommend them to anyone!!! -

Where to start?? We are so incredibly grateful to have found Kate at Tapestry. She was there for us through every twist and turn along the way and not only did it make the wild ride of planning through COVID that much more enjoyable (shocking I know!), but we are coming away from this with a lifelong friend. Kate listens and she expands upon. She values you as people and as a couple and makes sure that you are heard. Her warmth, her grace under pressure, and her wildly generous spirit are unmatched and we are beyond thrilled that she could be the one to help us cross that finish line. My now-husband and I were originally supposed to be married in Seattle, Washington in early spring 2020 with a guest list of about 150. We made the decision to postpone our wedding with three weeks left to go; ultimately, we postponed twice, landing on a date in September 2021. Fairly soon after that, we decided we didn’t want to wait until 2021 to be husband and wife, so I started researching adventure elopements in early May. It quickly became evident that I did not have enough mental energy to pivot and plan a completely new wedding on my own. We were put in contact with Kate at Tapestry while doing our research. We took a look at the website, liked what we saw, and after a few emails, we landed on a ceremony date of September 13, 2020!
Kate was a dream to work with from the get-go. Over email and phone, she was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and FUN! Kate took the time to get get to know us as individuals and as a couple, and our virtual conversations were engaging. She knew which questions to ask, and it was clear she had done her research by her answers.
Throughout the process, she kept us organized and on-track, and she had a hand-picked selection of vendor recommendations for each category. She helped us expand our thinking about what a perfect wedding day would look like, and by the end of it, we had crafted a day full of thoughtful touches. Kate's vendor coordination and time-lining was made even more impressive when she instructed our team to go directly to her with any questions in the weeks leading up to our wedding; it allowed us to stay relaxed and focus on our stuff, like making sure to pack properly for the weekend, instead of trying to field questions ourselves.
On the day of the wedding, we met Kate and Kristen in person (finally!), and it felt like we were meeting up with old friends. The care the team put into every detail was apparent, from making a game-time decision on where to hike, to the picnic set-up, or even bringing a bag to place over my bouquet to protect it from the wind (granted, the bouquet was actually too big to fit under the bag, so they ended up carrying it carefully!). We had so many laughs along the way; I didn't think my wedding day could be as fun as it ended up being!
We felt as if we were in the best hands from the start, and we're incredibly grateful for the thoughtfulness, talent, and enthusiasm Tapestry brought to our marriage! -

I cannot say enough good things about Kate and our entire experience with her for our elopement. Kate helped us plan from the other side of the country, during a pandemic, and then we added on her officiating services as well. The day went so smoothly and the ceremony did such a great job of getting to the heart of our relationship and tying in our family from across the country. The only downside is that now our elopement is done, we don't have a reason to talk often! Highly organized, pulled together the entire vision (which I didn't have a ton of verbal words or pictures to go off of), and every vendor recommendation was amazing. Day went off without a hitch and far exceeded my wildest dreams and it was all thanks to Kate. 10/10 recommend. -

We could not recommend Kate and her team more! We recently eloped to the Cascade Mountains (all the way from Chicago) and the entire experience went off without a hitch, thanks to Kate's guidance and wisdom. What was so impressive and special about the experience was Kate's ability to connect with us, even over Zoom meetings, and integrate what we wanted for our elopement with her understanding of how to make that happens. Communication with Kate was simple, quick and always helpful. Her and her team really valued building a relationship with us as a couple, which I think was evident in our day and the various personal touches that showed up throughout. She connected us to great people for our other vendors, handled communications and logistics and allowed us to focus on enjoying ourselves. Our elopement truly was so special, intimate and beautiful, thanks to Kate and Chelsea! -

When we were forced to rethink our wedding ceremony due to COVID, Kate was the first person I thought of to help us create a day that was equally (if not more!) special than the one we had originally planned. She provided sound advice at the outset, and helped us think through multiple scenarios for how the day could play out. She was also *incredibly* flexible around our time, day, and location. The ceremony she performed was thoughtful, simple, and elegant. I'm so happy she was part of our day. I can't recommend her and Tapestry Event Company enough! -

Words can't put together how absolutely amazing Kate was as my day of coordinator. My wedding day could not have been more perfect and was everything that I envisioned. Kate and I sat down together a few times so she could get an understanding of me as an individual, Mike and I as a couple , and what was important to us. Kate is SUPER organized, is experienced and knows what to expect, she knows how to go with the flow and be flexible. She is very communicative and responds to emails, texts, and everything super quickly and with a sense of humor. I'm such a control freak and was nervous about handing the reins over to Kate, but she did absolutely amazing. Kate, you are SUCH a fantastic human and Mike and I will always be so grateful for you! -

We hired Kate for officiating services and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. We had a very…unique planning experience as we had a full wedding planned in KY and had to cancel due to our venue breaking our contract just 30 days prior to our original wedding date. Panicked would have been an understatement, so we decided to elope on our Honeymoon in WA!
Kate was a huge blessing when we ultimately decided that we were going to have an intimate ceremony at Artist Ridge. From the first telephone conversation I knew that we were a good match- Kate has a huge laugh, an open heart and a beautiful personality that shines through in her work.
Since we were eloping, she allowed those we loved to contribute to the ceremony and that meant the world to us. Our ceremony felt as though a dear friend was bringing us together and its because Kate took the time to get to know us and our friends and family during the planning process.
On the day of our wedding, we invited her to bring her husband along too- we loved getting to know Kate, and felt having her husband would be an extra blessing to our day- and we were right! Kate and Nick were a great team in helping our photographer (who is also from KY) hike up to the ceremony spot (our photographer is so talented- but hiking is not in her skillset) and he brought along good stories and laughter to our group along the hike.
All-in-all, hiring Kate was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding and I would recommend her 1,000 times over. -

Kate is one-of-a-kind and the very best vendor to have by your side on your wedding day. I have never worked with a coordinator more passionate about the experience her couples have on their best day ever. As a photographer, I've worked with a LOT of coordinators, and let me tell you: Kate is a GENIUS. She is incredibly personable and reliable, and she makes my job SO much easier because I can focus on what I need to do, and she will literally handle the rest. Bonus fact: Kate is also an officiant so if you’re getting married on a mountain top and need help planning + have someone there to do the legal stuff, she’s your girl. Her goal is to walk along side of you and amplify the personality and soul signature that makes your love unique. Kate wants your celebration to be joyfully YOU. Don't we all desire a stress-free wedding day? The answer to that is YES, and Kate will have your back, no matter what. -
