Chris at Tapawingo was the best coordinator we could have hoped to work with. He was quick to answer all of our calls/emails when we had questions and very flexible with changes that popped up. We had our ceremony there and everything went off without a hitch thanks to his direction. The venue is beautiful indoors and out, especially now that the interior has been excellently remodeled. Lastly, the food was as phenomenal as you’d expect. Couldn’t say enough good things about the venue and Chris!

I don't have words for how amazing our reception was at Tapawingo. The decorations by Jill were so amazing, and she went above and beyond to make my vision come true.
Chris, the coordinator, was so relaxed and made my priorities his priorities. He was willing to do whatever we needed to make our night amazing. During the reception he checked in with us a few times (without being a burden) to make sure we didn't need anything, and he also checked in with my parents to help with anything they needed. Throughout the entire process, Chris absolutely made our night so much less stressful.
On top of all of this amazing service, the PRICE of Tapawingo cannot be beat. Our reception looked like it cost a fortune, when it absolutely did not.
The location is great for beautiful photos on the course, or at Laumeier Sculpture Park, which is just a mile away.

Chris and his team at Tapawingo we’re AMAZING! Very helpful and very professional. Reasonably priced, amazing food and very reasonably priced. The place was absolutely beautiful and so easy to dress up and make your own! I can’t say enough great things about my special day—but I couldn’t have done it without their help. They were so flexible and easy to work with! Very hospitable during every meeting that we had. They hold tastings every three months and that was the most help I ever received into making me feel at ease that my day would go smoothly. The price included food, drinks and set up! They make you go with their caterer Joe Boccardi’s, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. We continue to get compliments from our guests about the venue and so much praise on their food. FANTASTIC JOB!

We had our reception at Tapawingo two weeks ago and it was honestly perfect! If I could give Tapawingo more than a 5 star I would! Chris and Jill made planning my wedding reception not only easy, but fun. I loved that I could get everything done at the venue- food, drinks, photo booth and decor all in one place which makes planning hassle free. Jill worked with me to create the perfect look I was going for and she nailed it! The table cloths, center pieces candles, were exactly what I wanted! I got so many compliments on our reception! Guests said it was the best food, and open bar they have ever had at a wedding- everyone loved having the late night pizzas too!

We are so happy we chose Tapawingo for our reception! Working with Chris was incredibly easy throughout the whole process. He answered all of our questions and quickly offered solutions to anything we were worried about. The day of the event was amazing! When we arrived there were carts waiting for us to go out on the course with the photographers. The course itself was beautiful and allowed for some amazing photos! Tapawingo couldn’t have been better. Not only do they have amazing food but they level of professionalism is great! They kept things running smoothly and the decorations were beautiful. They allowed us to bring things we wanted and allowed us to use there decorations as well and make it our own!

Choosing to have my wedding at Tapawingo was the best choice I could have made. From the first visit/tour , Chris Whitrock was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, accommodating, offered guidance and made us feel comfortable and eager to get married at this venue.

Outstanding in every respect! The setting is absolutely beautiful and perfect for outdoor pictures. Inside, the ambiance is very upscale and feels more intimate than most banquet settings. Food and beverages were absolutely delicious! The staff was superb. We loved working with Chris. He was friendly, responsive to our needs and questions, and made us feel comfortable. Covered chairs and bows definitely added elegance, and we provided our own centerpieces. Pricing is reasonable for the quality of the experience. Highly recommend! MOB

Beautiful place to have a wedding reception. Main room with a wall of windows overlooking the golf course, bar area as well as the serving line for the buffet and the use of a outdoor patio. All of the servers were very friendly and willing to help. I would highly recommend. Chris the manager was also very helpful and made everything run smooth.

Tapawingo was the perfect venue for our wedding! Chris was quick to respond to all of our questions during the planning process. He was very accommodating to us from start to finish. We received numerous compliments about the venue - from the beautiful set-up to the delicious food. The staff was attentive the whole time we were there. Everything was perfect! The only thing I was a little sad about but didn’t find out about until the next day was that one of our vegetarian plates was never served. We had one vegan and two vegetarians. My bridesmaid who was a vegan was sooo very happy with the meal you all prepared and said it was the best vegan meal she had ever had at a wedding! This venue is beyond gorgeous on its own. We did very little in terms of decorations, and we received a multitude of praises from guests on how stunning it was. The food options are expansive and unbelievably delicious. We tried almost everything they offered, and with every bite of every new item, it became harder to choose what we wanted to have served for the meal. Nothing was bad. We still have guests telling us that it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. If that’s not enough to make you go book them now, the staff there cannot be bested. From the first day we walked in there, they were nothing but helpful and friendly. All they cared about was making sure the day was everything we wanted it to be. At no point did they fail to deliver. To say we are impressed is an understatement. We are thrilled that we chose Tapawingo as our venue. They are truly the best, and they give the best to you and your guests.

Honestly, I don't have one negative thing to say about my experience as a bride with Tapawingo! I'm in the hospitality industry, I know good food, beverage and service - trust me! I've received so many compliments on the food (taste and quality) and the venue (we had our ceremony and reception at the location) and my experience with the service was amazing. Its important to me to have wide, open lines of communication and that was achieved with both the Chef and Chris. Chris answered my emails SO quickly (I don't think I waited more than 30 minutes ever to get a response) and he passed along his cell number so I was able to text him. That gave me HUGE piece of mind to know if something came up last minute on the wedding day it would be taken care of. I loved the lighting in the reception venue and the ability to have an indoor/outdoor reception truly made it seem like a sophisticated party, not a cookie cutter wedding reception. We enjoyed time with my family and my husbands family on the golf course with beautiful scenery taking photos. Everyone got a kick out of using the golf carts! My only complaint is that the night went by too quickly! I would HIGHLY recommend Tapawingo for your wedding ceremony and reception!

Tapawingo is an exceptional venue that 100% knows customer service and class. My wife and I booked both our ceremony and reception at Tapawingo in February of 2016. From that day forward, we could not ask for a better venue and coordinator. Chris was always a supportive, calming voice, especially during the week of the historic flood that drowned a majority of the course and surrounding roads. Each day leading up to our wedding day, he gave us reassurances that everything would be fine, and he was absolutely right. Tapawingo and all of the employees could not have been more wonderful and easy to work with. Chris, the banquet manager, made everything from our first meeting to the end of our wedding day completely stress free. The beauty of the place speaks for itself, but the customer service is truly what made us so happy that we picked Tapawingo national golf club for our wedding ceremony and reception. The tasting events leading up to the reception were so fun and a great way to get a feel for the food, service, and space. The catering is done by Joe Baccardis, and we had several guests tell us that our food was some of the best reception food they've ever had. The views are spectacular and the room is already set up so nicely that we didn't have to add any decorations. I could go on and on about how happy we were and would recommend Tapawingo to anyone!

I just had my wedding at Tapawingo Golf Course on 11.12.16. It was the most amazing day ever. Everything about this venue was perfect... we literally did not have one thing go wrong ALL day. You never hear that! Chris was so flexible with anything I wanted and would make it happen; also he is so great at responding to you. The bar kept the drinks coming, the venue looked AMAZING, and the food was so good. All of our guests kept telling us how much they loved the food. If you want a stress free beautiful wedding, book it at Tapawingo. My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased.

The decor works perfectly for any theme especially for our theme of a Tuscan wedding reception.
The three separate distinct areas, the ballroom, the patio and the bar area were the perfect lay out for our guests. The ballroom dance floor was just the right size for those who wanted to dance. The bar area allowed for a perfect are for those guests who wanted to have a conversation without the loud music.
And the patio was just right for those wanting to enjoy a cigar.
Chris Whitrock was truly exceptional. Whatever was possible he made it happen.
Always prompt in returning emails, helpful with suggestions, and was there personally on the night if the reception to be sure things were running smoothly.
I would give Tapawingo my highest recommendation as a wedding reception venue. It was such a perfect beautiful evening, we would do it all over again.

We could not have asked for more for our 10/22/16 wedding. Chris was an absolute pleasure to work with and made our day absoltely perfect. He was always available for my calls and emails and was able to accomplish all of my requests. Also, the food was AMAZING. Many of our guests work in or have owned their own restaurants and every one raved about the food being the best wedding food they had ever had. With that said, the value of what you get here is truly unmatched in the area. I cannot say enough great things, we were 100% satisfied.

Tapawingo was just a beautiful venue for my October wedding. Not only are me and my husband very satisfied with our experience but our guest that attended our wedding couldn't stop saying good things about the Tapawingo. The food was incredible I recommend the tenderloin! It was phenomenal. My husband and I had such a fun time riding around on the golf carts with our wedding party taking pictures. Beautiful venue! My daughter and son in law had their ceremony outside on the deck on a gorgeous fall evening. Chris was very helpful and responsive with all of our questions and requests. The food was incredible!

Chris was always checking on my husband and I during the reception to make sure everything was going okay. We got several compliments about the venue and our guests really enjoyed themselves. We have nothing but positive things to say about Tapawingo. The event space is beautiful, with exposed beams, a high ceiling and windows for natural light. The outside patio makes the event space also seem much larger, and is perfect for guests to step out and enjoy the sunset. It is wonderful having the buffet outside of the main room, next to the bar, so the main room does not get overcrowded. We had around 120 guests which was perfect for us. You can easily fill the room with a smaller group, or alternately, fill the room comfortably with around 200+ guests as well.

We elected to use the new photo booth during our reception, which ended up being hit with nearly every one of our guests and gave them a nice takeaway to remember our wedding. They had a blast choosing which props to use for their pictures!

I don't know how many friends and family members told us how amazing the food was, but we heard it a lot. Of course, we knew the food would be excellent as we got to try several sides and entrees duding the "Taste of Tapawingo" events, throughout the year. Excellent quality, outstanding presentation. The draft beer was on-point and wine/ spirit selection was better than any other venue we've have ever seen. That's a plus of having your event at a top-notch golf club!

The Tapawingo staff was extremely profession and efficient from start-to-finish. Chris Whitrock was extremely helpful in organizing every aspect of our reception. Chris always made himself available at any time leading up to the event and made sure we were on the same page. We were comfortable the whole way through. He also gave us some much needed guidance with our planning efforts.

All-in-all, for the price point and the location/service/scenery/food and beverage, Tapawingo hits the spot. All of our guests would agree and we could not be happier with our decision to host our big day there. Thank you Tapawingo!

My husband and I are so happy we chose to have our wedding reception at Tapawingo! The place is gorgeous and perfect for a wedding of up to about 200 or so people. The coordinator, Chris, was so great and responded quickly with any questions we had. He made the night perfect and everything was even better than we had expected. Joe Boccardi caters the food, which was delicious. Everyone keeps telling us how good the food was.

Also, when we arrived to the reception, Chris had golf carts set aside for us to take out on the golf course for pictures.. And the scenery there is pretty amazing.

If I had to go back and plan my wedding all over (which I definitely don't want to!) I would absolutely go with Tapawingo again.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue for our reception! Not to mention that the golf course made for some pretty awesome weddings party pictures with golf carts. Chris and the staff went out of their way to make sure that our wedding was beyond what we expected. He was extremely easy to communicate with and would even respond to my silly random questions via text. The food was also amazing and our guests are still bragging about it being the best wedding food they have ever had! They were very reasonably priced and it even included basic linens, centerpieces and an open bar! I would highly recommend Tapawingo!

Chris and his team at Tapawingo provided top-notch service to make sure everything went smoothly for our big day. He was easy to communicate with and I received several comments about how amazing the food was that night. The facility provided the perfect backdrop for event. The vaulted ceilings provided the right touch of character and the windows and patio gave amazing views of the golf course and sunset. The value and professionalism of Tapawingo is something every bride-to-be should check out. I would pick this venue again in a heart beat.

We loved absolutely everything about this place. From working with Chris Whitrock, the event coordinator, to the venue itself, this is one of the best places to consider to get married in St. Louis and most definitely the best golf course to choose. The food is incredible. Joe Boccardi's does the catering and I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the food. My husband and I are in our early 20's (I'm 23 and he is 24) and a few of my husband's guy friends had not been to many weddings. One of them literally came up to us at the wedding and said "Wow, thank you for inviting me to this. I've never been to something like this before. The food is so good!" If a 24 year old bachelor says something like this then you know the food is excellent. Also, the venue is just gorgeous. We got married on their patio that has a sweeping view of the golf course and it's really quite breathtaking being up there in the evening. They cleared the patio off in record time after the ceremony so guests could enjoy it during cocktail hour and the rest of the evening. Also, the banquet room has gorgeous views of the golf course as well. The large windows throughout the room are what make it so beautiful! Chris is so accommodating as well. Anything we needed he made sure happened, and if there was any misunderstanding over the price/paperwork he basically said "no problem" and fixed it right up. We literally got compliments on every aspect of our event. My uncle from out of town said it was the "best open bar he had ever seen". The drinks were strong, the cups are large so you're not constantly going back for more, and they serve bottled beer, which the men loved. So many people said "how did you find this place?!" because they are somewhat new to wedding events, but lately they seem to be booked solid and I know three other people getting married here. I can't say enough awesome things about this place and am truly so happy that we chose Tapawingo.

We couldn't be happier with how our wedding reception at Tapawingo turned out. Stunning venue, the lookout over the golf course as the sun was setting, the beautiful, big room with very classic bones, the wood ceiling, lots of natural light...it just fit what we were looking for perfectly. We ended up going with the par package and we kept hearing over and over how great the food was. They allowed us to really customize our wedding by allowing us the flexibility to change the order if events around and letting us bring in our own centerpieces and decor. One of our favorite things was how the head table was set up. Everywhere we looked, people were laughing and smiling and we do the same when we talk about it today.

Tapawingo and Chris are easy and amazing to work with. Chris is extremely attentive to the needs of his customers and is very accommodating. The food was high quality and the wait staff were professional and upbeat. They all treat you like you are the only customer to them. The venue is beautiful. We couldn't have found a better value for our money. We would highly recommend Tapawingo to anyone for their wedding. It will always be a very special place in our hearts.

My reception at Tapawingo Golf Course was truly WONDERFUL! Every time I think back to my wedding night I can't think of one single thing that could have been better. The food is OUTSTANDING and I got so many raving reviews from my friends and family on the food alone. The staff provides excellent service and they made sure that my drink was never empty. The view is absolutely gorgeous and my guests had so much fun sitting out on the patio. Chris made sure to check on me throughout the night to make sure that everything was going well. I could not have asked for a better day!

The food was amazing and the service was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. Chris and his staff at Tapawingo went that extra mile and my husband and I couldn't have been more happy to have chosen to have our reception there!!!! The staff even helped moved things out to our cars at the end of the evening. Chris was very good about answering any questions I might have had and was extremely organized.

Being a Bride is a very stressful role, however being the Banquet Manager at Tapawingo must be close to a tie! My Husband and I quickly chose Tapawingo for our wedding reception after it being the first place we visited for reception locations. We knew it was perfect, beautiful view & room, delicious Joe Boccardi's food (which we already loved), and a banquet manager to make sure everything goes smoothly! A little over a month before our big day, I called to talk to the Phil (the previous banquet manager) and I quickly found out he was no longer there and a new manger, Chris had taken over. You can imagine as a Bride any such change this close to your wedding adds a moment of panic. However, I can't tell you how amazing Chris and the Tapawingo staff were in planning up to and executing the day of my wedding. Chris Whitrock, who is the new banquet manager, had been working with the weddings for many years along with Phil, he responded to all of my messages promptly and with an answer, moved things exactly where I wanted them, and made sure I was getting everything I need while we set up the reception. The day of our wedding, Chris text me to make sure everything was going well before I even got to Tapawingo! He made sure all my guests made it through the buffet line very quickly (a VERY important aspect), kept checking in to make sure I had everything I needed and even had a drink waiting for us when my husband and I arrived! We couldn't have loved our reception more and I couldn't imagine it anywhere else. Everything was perfect and

Chris did a phenomenal job. I could not have asked for anyone better. He made sure everything went smoothly and was there every second of the way. He went the extra mile everytime I needed to change anything. Thank you all again. Also the food was seriously the best!!

Chris was awesome at Tapawingo! He was very accommodating and made sure that everything was going smooth. He was very visible and was always there if I needed anything. Him, along with the staff, went above and beyond my expectations. Everything went smooth and perfect. Food was excellent. I received many compliments on my venue.

I was so impressed with our venue at Tapawingo National Golf club! Phil was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and answered any questions we had! This venue was very reasonably priced! Everyone talked about how beautiful the place was and how amazing the food was. Everyone told me as a bride you will not eat at your own wedding because you will be so busy, well this was not the case I ate so much food because it was so amazing, it was perfectly seasoned for every guest and not bland by any means like other weddings I have been too! Also they have events a couple months a year that you can taste test the good and meet other people with weddings at the same venue and get their ideas as well and see the layout and get ideas of how your night will go! Not to mention our bridal party was able to use golf carts to drive around the course for pictures and we had so much fun! I seriously wouldn't have changed one single thing about this venue it was 100% perfect!

First of all, this venue is absolutely beautiful! You must see it in person. We used their banquet room for our wedding reception and we had so many compliments on how pretty it was. Dave & Missy are great to work with and they were also very flexible. I live out of town so much of my planning was done via email/phone and quick trips there. They always made sure I had everything I needed and were willing to work with me on decoration ideas, etc. If you are looking for a venue that is reasonably priced and is a gorgeous space, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Tapawingo came highly recommended by a lot of people we spoke with. They exceeded our expectations, everything was wonderful from the service to the food! Chris was great to work with and so easy going! The venue the day of my wedding was just how I imagined! ! Beautiful sunset wedding on the balcony it was beautiful

Tapawingo is a beautiful place to have your venue. Chris and his staff did an excellent job to ensure everything went smooth. The food was the talk of the night and there after. It was one of the best wedding foods I have every had at a wedding reception. The music was awesome. There was always people on the dance floor. I would definitely recommend Tapawingo to anyone. Tapawingo Golf Club was the perfect reception venue. Their new clubhouse is beautiful with high wood paneled ceilings and windows lining three of the four walls. The views on the course are spectacular and the club even let us take wedding pictures out on the course. Simply beautiful.

We celebrated our at-home wedding reception at Tapawingo. The venue is perfect for those couples who like a more relaxed and open space, compared to a huge ballroom or something more stuffy. We loved the dim lighting, big windows and dance floor space. We had tons of compliments from our guests on the venue, our photo booth, and of course the food. The food is the best wedding food you'll ever have! Also, Chris the venue manager was great to work with and super accommodating!!
