We are so happy we chose Tannenbaum for our wedding day! From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for us. The property is absolutely beautiful and created the most perfect atmosphere for both our ceremony and reception.
One thing we especially appreciated was how budget friendly and reasonable everything felt, especially with how expensive weddings can be nowadays. Tannenbaum includes so much when you book, which made the entire process feel less stressful and much more manageable compared to other venues we looked at. We truly felt like we got so much value for what was included.
The entire team was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. Very professional, responsive, organized, and genuinely excited to help make our day special. Everything ran so smoothly on the wedding day, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment.
Our guests could not stop complimenting the venue and how beautiful everything was. We are so grateful for all of the care and attention that went into making our wedding unforgettable. We would highly recommend Tannenbaum to any couple looking for a beautiful wedding venue with an amazing team and reasonable pricing! -

Our October 2025 wedding at The Tannenbaum Event Center was absolutely amazing, and the event could not have been more perfect. The Tannenbaum team is very experienced and knowledgeable, and the event ran smoothly with their guidance. The food at Tannenbaum is required to be catered by Roundabout Catering, and it is SO GOOD! The venue is stunning. The ceremony takes place on the back lawn with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The inside is so cozy with string lights and a beautiful stone fireplace. We had a little bit of a mishap with our table centerpieces, but the Tannenbaum staff took care of us and worked with us to find a solution. I highly recommend the Tannenbaum as a wedding venue if you are looking to get married in the Reno/Tahoe area. -

From start to finish Tannenbaum made our entire wedding process so easy, they answered every question we had and the wedding day went seamlessly! I cannot recommend Tannenbaum enough, if you’re looking for a beautiful venue that gives the most intimate Reno/ Tahoe feeling- Tannenbaum is your venue! My guest raved about how gorgeous the space was and about how amazing the food was! I am so happy we ended up booking Tannenbaum for our wedding! It was everything we wanted and more! -

I'm so thankful that I found Tannenbaum for my destination wedding in the Lake Tahoe / Reno area! The staff was kind, friendly, and professional. The venue is stunning. The rentals are high-quality and stylish. The food was phenomenal. A winter storm on the summer solstice required us to move the reception indoors day of, and the staff handled it easily, and I never felt stressed as the bride. Kyrsten was a dream to work with, and even planning from afar, they made the whole experience seamless and joyful for us. -

We had out wedding here in January 2024 and it was absolutely perfect! When we first visited this venue in our planning process, we were instantly drawn to the beauty of not only the venue itself, but of the view. Add the snow and it was our winter wonderland wedding of our dreams! Everything was set up beautifully and exactly what we had imagined, plus some! The staff, especially Christy, was so accommodating and it truly felt like they really cared about us and making sure we were happy and taken care of! -

My husband and I had our wedding here this past July and it was such an incredible day! Everything went better than we had hoped for and we are so happy we picked this venue. First, the price is very reasonable for being essentially in Tahoe. The view SOLD us on the venue. The moment I saw the lawn space, I knew I wanted to get married here. One of my favorite moments from my wedding day was when my husband and I had a moment to admire the mountain backdrop during the sunset. It was spectacular. Everything was handled seamlessly and I truly didn’t have to worry about anything regarding the venue. Christy, the venue coordinator, is PHENOMENAL. I must have sent her a least a hundred emails and she answered each one quickly and with professionalism. I really appreciated this as my husband and I are not based in Tahoe/Reno and all of our communication was primarily through email or phone. Leading up to our wedding week, they were incredibly flexible and were able to work with us on last minute changes with guest count and layout. Our guests were also complimenting us on our food! We actually got to sit down and enjoy it which I appreciated. Get the potatoes au gratin! Also, all the servers and staff were so wonderful and attentive to us and our guests. We also loved the convenience of the bridal and groom suite, it was perfect for photos pre-ceremony. If you want a BEAUTIFUL wedding, wonderful staff, delicious food and a reasonably priced venue (and we all know wedding planning can be very $$) pick this venue! I am so happy we did. -

To say Tannenbaum is the best venue ever, it would be an understatement. Christy was beyond fantastic to work with through our entire planning process. She was so helpful and just so wonderful to talk with (in person and via email). Brittney our day of coordinator was also amazing to work with. She was so sweet and answered all my questions. I cannot rave enough about the food. We have received numerous compliments about how the food was probably the best food our guests have ever had!!! The entire staff the day of our wedding were so professional and accommodating. Our bartenders were so much fun and made every drink perfectly. We can honestly say we would choose Tannenbaum again and again for our special day! If you’re looking for a venue with a breathtaking view and delicious food, then look no further, Tannenbaum is your place!!! -

Tannenbaum was the first venue we saw and we immediately fell in love. The view, the location, the atmosphere, what they offer when you sign, and the staff was amazing. Over the course of planning whenever I had questions they were so kind to answer them and were really accommodating to a lot of my request. I dont have a single bad thing to say about Tannenbaum and I would recommend this venue to anyone. Christy was a delight to work with and her and the whole team know how to pull together a wedding so beautifully. The catering through RoundAbout was to die for, melt in your mouth and was well worth the money. Our guest were talking about it a week after the wedding. The bartenders were really experienced and knew what they were doing.

Finding a venue that was the perfect blend of modern yet rustic, while also being small enough to not feel tiny with only 40 guests was a bit of a challenge - but Tannenbaum turned out to be the perfect place. The food from RoundAbout catering was FANTASTIC, the venue staff (shoutout to Christy and Brittany) were amazing and the day was absolutely perfect!
We had our ceremony outside and the reception inside. Planning from out of state with Christy required lots of back and forth with questions, as we didn't do an initial walkthrough in person - but she was quick to get back to us on anything that we asked. It was a great experience that I would 100% do all over again! -

We sort of stumbled upon Tannenbaum in our search for venues, but it ended up being the perfect spot for our big day. Christy was wonderful to work with and the rest of the staff was great. Everything went very smoothly the day of, and we are so grateful to have found such a beautiful spot to tie the knot! -

If you're looking for a beautiful venue with amazing food, scenic views, the best day of coordinators in the game, look no further you've found your venue.
I will be singing the Tannenbaum praises for the rest of my life, it was the best wedding decision I made (besides marrying my husband). The whole crew is nothing short of incredible to work with- the food? amazing. The views? amazing. They're responsive, and take care of EVERYTHING for the wedding. I do mean everything- tablecloths, beautiful set ups, forks, napkins, waitstaff, bartenders, alcohol, food. Literally all you have to do is write a check, let Christy (a wedding superstar with the best attitude ever) know how you want your day to go and show up to the wedding. The rest Tannenbaum takes care of.
We had to change our ceremony venue last minute- and I do mean last minute, as in 24 hours before. We called Christy and within AN HOUR- literally ONE HOUR she had everything replanned. And it was wonderful. I could enjoy my wedding day. No one had to set up anything, no one had to clean anything, all everyone had to do was show up, enjoy the day, and leave. What more could you ask for? And our pictures were incredible- everyone got seconds, thirds and fourths of the food. I can't say enough how incredibly wonderful this venue is- every step of the way. They've got it down to a science.
Zero regret choosing Tannenbaum- don't even bother looking at other venues. Just book here. -

Christy and the other Tannenbaum staff were incredible! Planning a wedding during a pandemic was extremely hard. Our second venue cancelled on us three weeks prior to our wedding date. Christy accepted the challenge and helped us plan a wedding at Tannenbaum in three weeks! How incredible is that! Let me tell you, I think fate was behind all of this because Tannenbaum turned out to be our PERFECT wedding venue! The staff was so kind and made the day so easy for us and all of our guests. They were personable and made us feel like we were the only ones that mattered. They made the day feel specialized to us, from the bar the the decor, to the bridal and groom suites! It was all perfect! I think that every body needs to married at Tannenbaum! -

Amazing and Beautiful Venue
The first time we first visited Tannenbaum we instantly knew that was where we wanted to get married. The feeling we got looking down at the valley from Tannenbaum’s deck was like no other and talking with Christy, the venue manager, made us feel at ease and excited for our wedding! Christy has such an infectious optimism and is so knowledgeable.
The pricing for this gorgeous venue is reasonable without compromising quality. The views alone sell this venue however on top of that the care, patience, and professionalism of the staff make this venue the best choice. The staff made me feel like their top priority. On my wedding day before I could even notice my drink had been refilled and every staff member was so kind. I cannot thank this venue enough for all they did to make my wedding better than I had even imagined.
Tannenbaum’s commitment to us was so genuine. Christy always has a plan for us despite many challenges due to COVID-19. She was continuously calm and ready to cater to our specific needs in each changing moment. Christy saw to it personally that our wedding day went as planned. The whole staff at Tannenbaum went above and beyond our expectations in making our wedding a reality! I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone I know.

Simply spectacular: 10/10 Recommend
First off, this was our third venue and now second date we had set for our wedding #thankscovid! And Tannenbaum was the perfect place for our wedding. I sent a quote request through Wedding Wire and 2 hours later Christy had sent me an email. She was thorough and extremely helpful. We planned our wedding in less than 2 weeks and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to do that with. I was a tad stressed but she made sure we had everything we needed to make our day an absolute dream. The food was delicious. Nearly everyone I spoke with said this was some of the best food they had had at a wedding (and I agree!) We went with the sirloin, shrimp, tortellini, broccoli and asparagus. The shrimp and broccoli were the stars of the plate! Everything went off without a hitch and I couldn’t be more pleased. Immaculate
The venue was picturesque and the photos are remarkable to remember your day. The staff was super responsive, very meticulous, and absolutely understanding of the needs of my partner and I. The food was INSANELY delicious. I have zero regrets and think this was the absolute best place for my marriage to start.Tannenbaum's reply:

Ally Sent on 08/16/2018The tannenbaum is absolutely gorgeous and makes wedding planning extremely easy! I only had to pick the DJ, cake, Photograghers, videographer, and flowers. They pretty much provided the decorations, food, alcohol, plates, linens, chairs, set up as well as take down of decorations. They made things extremely easy for a busy bride and at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this venue for weddings and any other events. It is absolutely gorgeous and spacious. I could not be happier! Julie was so amazing! She knows exactly what to do and she is so helpful with providing pricing and even info on other vendors. My wedding was so much fun! Everything turned out perfect and I am an extremely happy bride! The Tannenbaum is literally like a fairy tail, I don’t think there is a better place for a wedding. The staff is amazing! They are so helpful and kind! You will not find a better place for a wedding, this is it, this is the place!

Loved working with Tannenbaum and Brittany and Christy. They were super responsive, helped answer all of my questions and put me at ease when we had to move our wedding inside due to the snow last minute. The set up was gorgeous and everything I could have asked for. The staff was also so attentive and the view was 10/10! Highly highly recommend this venue!! -

My brother and his wife got married here! As a wedding photographer myself, my photo + officiant team was able to capture this wedding—and the officiant made everyone cry in a good way ;). The venue is a beautiful spot. And so underrated since it’s close to Lake Tahoe. The weather was especially wet in October. It rained all day. Despite that, everyone had an amazing time, and the photos came out great. The indoor area was cozy and elegant. The space can really be crafted for each couple’s taste! -

We had an amazing wedding at Tannenbaum on May 29th, 2022! It exceeded our expectations in most every aspect! The venue was gorgeous, the food was fabulous, and the service was diligent and professional. We received many compliments from guests on the beauty of the venue and on how delicious the food was, especially the chicken and the cupcakes! We're glad we didn't bother bringing in an expensive cake.
Communication leading up to the event could be improved, so it's best to be proactive. But on the day of the event, everything was perfect. The recommendations from the vendor list were also good. -

I played a wedding, violin, for an outdoor ceremony yesterday late afternoon. Simple setup seating with stunning views. There is an electrical outlet left front side for musician use. A walkway from parking makes it easy to access the outdoor area for ceremony, photos, and for set up of sound equipment. There is a large balcony overlooking the outdoor area, it is entered from the indoor reception area. A DJ or musician or vocalist could use the balcony as well. The reception area looked beautiful with table cloths and carefully and precisely placed settings. I would recommend this venue as they are flexible and accommodating with musicians which in turn elevates the wedding quality. AnOctaveHigher net -

The venue was great when coordinating everything leading up to the wedding. Our day-of "person" was not as on top of everything as Kirstyn. Kirstyn was amazing throughout the entire process, would have loved to have her there the day of. Everything went as planned aside from one small miscommunication which the venue made sure to correct as soon as possible. The food was absolutely amazing, I received so many compliments. They also made sure to feed the wedding party amidst the chaos which was a huge reliever on our part. -

The one thing I will complain about is after getting venue liability insurance (which is required if you want alcohol) the woman overseeing my wedding proceeded to tell my bartender that he needs to cut people off, this was before the toasts around 5:00pm. Aside from that, everything went perfectly and the venue was absolutely beautiful. -

I'm very sad to write this review but my husband and I were due to get married at Tannenbaum in June 2020. I am not somebody to write negative reviews unless I absolutely have to but I think that this is worth reading from a bride's standpoint.
The Tannenbaum staff was awesome from the time that we booked up until a few months before we had to reschedule/cancel our wedding. Due to COVID-19, we had to think about rescheduling our event because we had invited over 120 guests. First, they did not want us to postpone but they kept it in our hands. It wasn't until I had several of my vendors contact me about the fact that we were the largest wedding to still happen in June at the time. When we consulted with the venue manager, she informed us that Tannenbaum would have to charge us the 2021 prices if we chose to postpone our wedding until 2021. Now, they did offer us to be able to reschedule for another 2020 date. However, we were coming from Sacramento and we had family traveling all over California, not to mention that I am a teacher so getting married in the middle of the school year just isn't realistic. While I appreciated them offering 2020 dates, I let the venue manager know that it would not work out for us to get married on any of the available dates for 2020 not to mention the snow season (realistically we knew that with Covid going on it was unlikely that we would be able to host that many people in 2020).
When I found out that they would have to charge us 2021 prices to postpone our wedding, I was pretty upset because obviously with Covid going on there's a lot out of our hands so I was hoping that the venue would accommodate us the following year. I was able to talk to the owner of Tannenbaum and unfortunately, she was unable to secure our price per person, our deposit for next year, and our site fee for the next year. This meant that we would have to pay the difference in all of those price points that we we secured in 2020. We completely understand that she has a business to attend to and she needs to keep the doors open, however, it was super upsetting to my husband and I that she seemed very non-empathetic to our situation and could not work with us to keep our site fee the same as 2020, the deposit the same, or the price per person.
We loved Tannenbaum because of how beautiful it was and it was super affordable for where it is located, but because of how they acted during a worldwide pandemic to their clients, we decided to cancel. Even when we emailed in order to receive our deposit back, they were very cold with their response and did not offer us good luck or that they were sorry that it did not work out,
they simply asked for a mailing address and that was it.
My reasoning for posting this review is to let other brides know how they treated us just two months before our wedding. I truly Believe that it speaks volumes about a business to see how they treat their clients during a time where little is in our control.Tannenbaum's reply:

It is always heartbreaking to us to know that you are unhappy, since we strive for all of our clients and guests to have a great experience. As I’m sure you are aware, COVID has been a major blow to all businesses, and has impacted us all.
However, I did want to clarify that we did try to work with you to move you to any available date in 2020, and Fridays or Sundays in 2021 at your 2020 pricing, which you refused after many conversations with the manager and owner. We then sent you a full refund.
