Call DJ Tamik Before Any Other DJ

I called multiple different DJs (probably around 8) and made a pros & cons list of these DJs. When I finally called DJ Tamik, we had an instant connection and my wife and I knew that we had found our DJ. DJ Tamik has fun on the job because he sees his audience having fun. He knows how to read a crowd and how to connect with each person on and off the dancefloor. He offers music suggestions for each big wedding event for those not-so-musically inclined like me and my wife. His MC skills are second to none and man, he can really pump up the crowd for your big entrance into the ceremony. He can select the right music for the moment and get everyone in your reception involved in having fun and celebrating you as a couple. His lighting setup creates such a fun atmosphere. I wish I would have called him sooner to remove one more stressor from wedding planning. And his rates are incredible. I would recommend DJ Tamik to anybody getting married in the Tampa/St. Pete area (and any other area if he opens up shop elsewhere).

Call DJ Tamik

DJ Tamik did an incredible job at our wedding and helped make the entire day unforgettable. The music during the ceremony flowed and created a beautiful atmosphere for such a special moment. The parent dances were timed perfectly, allowing those moments to feel meaningful. Everything felt well organized and smooth. At the reception, the energy was amazing. The dance floor stayed full all night, and guests of all ages were dancing and having a great time. The music choices and transitions kept everyone engaged. Even after the wedding, our guests have continued telling us how much fun they had and how great the music was. We’re so grateful to DJ Tamik for helping make our celebration so memorable.

Amazing Dj

The services were amazing, he was so well prepared and professional. I was very impressed and he made my wedding experience a lot easier. Very friendly, attentive and responsive. He kept everyone engaged and on the dance floor. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Incredible in a Crisis!

Our entire wedding had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Milton and DJ Tamik was incredible flexible and made us feel so good about rescheduling. Day of the rescheduled wedding we didn’t have to think at all about the DJ- everything was perfect for the ceremony and reception!

We were referred to Tamik Entertainment LLC by a close friend, and from our first conversation, I knew we were in great hands. DJ Tamik is the perfect blend of warm, professional, and deeply knowledgeable. On our wedding day, he and his wife managed the energy and schedule with total class. Everything felt incredibly laid-back and natural, yet the timing was impeccable—he kept the evening moving seamlessly from one event to the next without it ever feeling rushed. Additionally, their services are very affordable, and worth every penny. We can't recommend them enough.

DJ Tamik is a lifesaver

DJ Tamik was an absolute lifesaver! I helped plan my sister’s wedding, and when we hit a major snag with catering that delayed dinner, we were scrambling. We called DJ Tamik and asked if he could help keep the guests entertained and without missing a beat, he said, “I’ve got you.” And he really did.

I wasn’t sure what magic he had up his sleeve, but somehow he managed to keep the vibe upbeat and the guests completely unaware that anything was off schedule. On top of that, he handled one of the toughest crowds our families have wildly different taste in music but DJ Tamik nailed it. He convinced relatives that are normally very shy to join us on the dance floor and participate in all the fun. He kept the dance floor packed all night long. There was never a dull moment.

Professional, adaptable, and seriously talented. DJ Tamik was the MVP of the night. I look forward to working with him in the future and referring him for years to come.

Couldn’t of picked a better person!

From the moment we met it was great! Just like seeing an old friend for the first time after several years. He went above and beyond for our wedding. Kept everyone dancing all night. All our requests were delivered perfectly. He was moving around getting all our moments from first dance to cake cutting it was perfect! Highly recommend!!!

Spectacular!

One word: WOW! And I mean that in a very positive way. Terrell "DJ Tamik" Riley is a multi disciplinary individual and moreover just an outstanding human being. Oh and I cannot forget to give a HUGE shout out to his wife (Trudy), as well. Tamik Entertainment is the real deal and offers the full wedding package (Officiant, DJ, Entertainment and Comedy 😃). My wife and I got a great vibe from him from the very first meeting on our Zoom call with him. He DJ'd our birthday party, was our Officiant for our wedding & DJ'd our reception. I have to confess that I was concerned how he would handle officiating the wedding AND handling DJ duties. Well let's just say his performance in carrying out his duties were nothing short of spectacular! Our guests were telling my wife and I about how they enjoyed themselves with the music at the reception and moreover how they enjoyed Terrell as a person. I purposely took my time with this review so that I'd make sure that I gave my review the proper attention it deserves. If you're planning an event, that warrants the services of a DJ, then look no further than Tamik Entertainment! If you're planning a wedding and reception, then look no further. Tamik Entertainment is your one stop shop for what you need! In closing this review, we hired Terrell for our birthday party, wedding and reception, however we walked away with everything that we asked for and more. Terrell Riley, his wife Trudy and Tamik Entertainment is now extended family to us.

we had DJ Tamik from Tamik Entertainment at our work Holiday party. He played background music while everyone was arriving, while we ate, BUT once it was time to dance he made it hard to leave the dance floor. We didn't want to stop dancing to even go get another drink. I would hire him for any of my personal events. BEST DJ HANDS DOWN!

My New Go-To DJ!

DJ Tamik hosted my work Christmas party and it was the BEST party we've ever had! The atmosphere was so fun and inviting everyone stayed to the end of the party instead of sneaking out early to hit the bars. He started with soft background music while we all arrived and mingled but when it came time to open the dance floor he got us to instantly fill the entire space and we stayed dancing the entire night. He will be the first one I call for any events that need a DJ!

Destination wedding

We are from Chicago and had to pick a DJ with out ever meeting them for our wedding and I’m 100% happy we picked Tamik ! He did an amazing job everything came out perfect ! We also had him be our officiant which he was able to do our walk up music such a plus not having to find someone separate for that! If your getting married in flordia I HIGHLY recommend him!

The Ultimate Party Starter

WHAT A DAY! Thank you so much for being our DJ at our wedding!!! We had a wonderful time. You can’t go wrong with this DJ

The only words to describe Tamik Entertainment is amazing!! I utilized him for my wedding 5 years ago and came back for my dad’s 70th bday last year !! I do not regret either choice. His exuberant personality lit up our reception and was one of the highlights from my wedding. His flexibility and ability to adjust to last minute changes with grace and aplomb made my dad’s 70th sensational. I can’t say enough great things about Tamik. I would definitely use again if I’m planing any other event!! You won’t regret your choices and your guests will rave about him as well

We really loved having Tamik as our DJ/MC! Very professional and excellent set up. He did a great job with the flow of music throughout the evening and made sure nothing was played from the “no no” list. I also loved that it was a husband and wife team. They were so kind and lovely!

A Musical Night to Remember

DJ Tamik definitely gave us a musically fun night to remember. We hired him for our wedding and he made everything so easy. We even asked for a section of the night to be star wars low-fi and he was able to find it and play it. He even played some during a section of our ceremony. We didn't do the traditional Garter and bouquet toss. But he added entertainment for everyone. He did a dance off with the guys on our bridal party. I will never forget that hilarious-ness. His wife and he came down and taught us a dance we didn't know. Overall he helped make our night the magical night everyone's still talking about a year later. I would hire him again in a heartbeat

The highest quality of entertainment & event planner.

We had a small family only wedding & Tamik was beyond fantastic. Leading up to the date he communicated promptly and professionally but also spoke to us on a human level and made sure the vibe we envisioned came to reality. He asked all of the right questions during the walk thru and even had a back up plan to the back up plan in order to keep our mind at ease. He didn’t insert on us his idea of how the entertainment should be, but instead let us dictate & gave suggestions when asked. There were last minute changes to the itinerary literally hours before and he didn’t flinch. He remembered our changes, double checked the morning of and coordinated with the wedding planner in real time. He basically knew our wedding itinerary better than our wedding planner. Even correcting her at times (but in a respectful, soft kinda way). He knew the area we moved from and threw a couple surprise tracks in that had a guests light up with excitement & all my wife & I could do was smile at each other & give a salute to the DJ booth. Tamik and his team are the standard in event planning and execution. Going forward in our lives we will be reaching out to him to celebrate birthdays, events, and special occasions. & you’re a fool if you don’t do the same.

Highly recommend for your big day!

Tamik brought the hype for our wedding ceremony! We were out of town so we screened a few different DJs but after our call with Tamik we knew it was a great match. He is personable, lively, professional, and knowledgable. Our music was a mixture of Spotify, YouTube, and other channels and it kicked off without a hardship. Everyone both old and young were on the dance floor. He also comes prepared with all the equipment needed for your ceremony and reception! Thanks for everything, Tamik! DJ Tamik was an absolute pleasure to work with from the very moment we reached out to him all the way through wedding day. He responded quickly to any questions and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. He was funny, approachable, and added so much energy to our wedding day! We had a wide variety of songs/genres requested and he played a little of everything which was great. He did what we asked and more, was great with making announcements, helped the wedding flow nicely, and the guests loved him. Excellent DJ

DJ Tamik provided DJ services and up lighting for our wedding ceremony on Saturday 09/25/21. Let me just say that everyone stayed on the dance floor. He did such an amazing job, my friends and family can't stop talking about how much fun they had and how good the DJ was. The up lighting sets the mood to party or for a romantic setting, it's also great for pictures.

Amazing!

Terrell from Tamik entertainment was beyond amazing! Terrell was extremely personable and flexible as we were texting the night before to adjust song start times for the ceremony and switch to a new song for the exit song! He and his wife were able to do our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception seamlessly. All of our guests were blown away at how amazing and nice our Dj was and are still commenting about him! Terrell was able to get everyone up and dancing by the end of the night! I am beyond happy with our decision to go with Terrell, our night would not have been the same without him and his wife! 😍

Highly recommend

We had DJ Tamik as our DJ for our wedding on 8/7, and he was AWESOME! Not only the day of but the time leading up to our wedding, he was always in contact with us every step of the way. Our original wedding was supposed to be on 7/11/20, but due to Covid, we had to reschedule, and luckily he was available on our new date and was so accommodating.

It is so essential to have a good DJ. They are the vendors most in contact with your guests; they must make sure that everything goes according to schedule, and most of all, they are in charge of the dance party! DJ Tamik was the perfect person to handle these essential responsibilities. He is so friendly, kind, and considerate; he exudes a love of music and is incredibly organized and efficient. We knew we wanted to hire him from our first interaction on wedding wire then to phone call. To no one's surprise, he handled our wedding flawlessly. He got the dance floor going & our guest raved about how great he was!!! We could not be happier with Tamik, and we will miss seeing him!

Dj tamik was phenomenal

Several months before our wedding, we had a Zoom meeting with Terrell (DJ Tamik) and we knew right away that we made the right choice. His personality was so genuine, friendly and helpful, you could really tell he has been a professional in the business for a while. He knew exactly what questions to ask and took a lot of stress off our shoulders. I am so glad that we chose him instead of a bigger, more flashy entertainment company because he was so affordable and made it feel like we were a priority.

On the day of the wedding, he arrived early, knew exactly where to set up and seamlessly blended in to the space. I am so grateful for Terrell for taking photos of us throughout the night and sending them to us. One of the sweetest things was when my sister (maid of honor) made a speech and mentioned a special song that we share: Jump by Van Halen. Later in the night, DJ Tamik played the song and dedicated it for us to dance to. I thought that my sister had requested the song, and she thought that I had requested it, but really it was the attentiveness of DJ Tamik who was listening during her speech. Neither of us realized it was his doing until we had a laugh about it several days later.

I had DJ Tamik for my wedding DJ and he was amazing!! I had booked him when I first got engaged and as the time was getting closer I had reached out a couple times and he was responsive and very professional. The day of the wedding he was just amazing! Best DJ Ever!

My husband and I got married 3/23 of this year and we could not have had a better DJ for the occasion! DJ Tamik kept the music going and played the perfect songs at the perfect times! The lighting was perfect and we even got an awesome Monogram displayed for us! There was never a moment where people weren't dancing and enjoying themselves and he was very interactive and made it fun! My husband and I got married on May 19, 2018 at the Rusty Pelican in Tampa, Florida. DJ Tamik was a preferred vendor of the Rusty Pelican who did a PHENOMENAL job at our wedding. He made sure every song on our requested playlist was played, the flow of the wedding party was perfect, and he communicated and interacted very well with our guests. I haven't planned an event since my daughter's wedding in 2004, so I was extremely nervous to plan the New Year's Eve Party for our condo complex. When I called Terrell at Tamik Entertainment, I hit the jackpot! From the get-go he impressed me. His professionalism on the phone, his knowledge and experience and upfront ideas helped to give me the start I needed to plan the party. From there it was smooth sailing; meeting with my team, discussing room layout, talking about his endless supply of songs, state-of-the-art equipment, the lighting he had that would really dress up the social room and give it the "party" atmosphere. I just knew I had the right DJ to bring to life the first New Year's Eve Party at our complex in a very long time. Terrell asked that I provide some ideas for songs. I didn't have much luck obtaining "any" suggestions for Terrell. That was no problem, he read the crowd, continually played the right music that got a variety of people dancing all night long. The count down to New Year's Eve was perfect as well. I am still getting praise for that party and it is Terrell that deserves most of the credit. On a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being the best; Terrell gets a 12! Terrell will be my go to for any entertainment needs going forward. SO PLEASED!!!!!

From beginning to end Tamik entertainment has been amazing!

For starters I am pretty sure that we have all been to a wedding where the DJ messed up the couples name, or the music didn't the guest hype, or just the quality of sound produced in the speakers were terrible (it was either too loud, too much rattle, or just not loud enough), am I right or wrong? Anyways, as a bride who held a Sunday brunch wedding, my husband and I were weary that many of our guest would be bored, we expected our guest to come, eat, and leave. Fortunately, that was not the case! Tamik Entertainment did an amazing job from start to finish. Our guest in broad day light got up and danced, get this without being drunk!!! Everyone was laughing, moving around to the music, and as a bride I was simply happy. At the end of the day many of our guest, including our parents were shocked that they danced during the day!

Truth is you get what you pay for. For the amount we payed for Tamik Entertainment, my husband and I could not be any happier! Our day was perfect because Tamik Entertainment ensured that all of our songs were played, there was music for everyone to get up to, and most importantly the personality voiced throughout our reception was lively! Just look below at how sunny it was and still everyone was enjoying themselves!

** We even had the groom and brother dance off battle, along with our two best men dance off! Like seriously just so much fun!!

Terrell was an AMAZING DJ from beginning to end. He is personable, professional, timely, and high quality. Most importantly for me, he was incredibly flexible and went with the flow. Everyone at my wedding kept remarking on how great of a DJ he was, so much so that one of my sorority sisters hired him to do her wedding. For all the bumps and hiccups we encountered during the day, it would not have been as amazing and as successful as it was had it not been for him and his amazing wife and staff!

So really don't know where to begin. Let's start by saying D.J Tamik has got my vote 1000000% because his level of service was superior and he played a HUGE roll in making our wedding night as special and awesome as it was. Dj Tamik stayed on top of everything and made sure that all the pre reqs were in place and everything went so smooth. Without a good DJ you really won't have a smooth wedding. He really felt out the crowd and played songs accordingly. I have been to many weddings and none were as coordinated as his. If your looking for the right DJ then you need look no further. We met DJ Tamik at an open house hosted by The Regent. From the moment we met him, we knew that he was going to make our day more than special. We immediately got to work, planning out the big day and putting together a skeleton list of what we wanted. DJ Tamik met with us several times, and was extremely warm and understanding. He had a knack for understanding what we wanted and made sure we were both on board for every part of the itinerary. Pricing was extremely fair and there was such a down-to-earth aura about him that made calling or talking to him a breeze. He’s an exceptional MC and works exceedingly hard at making sure the most important day of our lives was one we’d always remember. Looking back, DJ Tamik was the most crucial and the best decision we made. We’re exceedingly proud of him and what he did for us, and we’d recommend him to any couple looking to make their special day, the greatest day of their lives. We could not be happier with our choice to book Tamik Entertainment as our DJ for our wedding at the Rusty Pelican in Tampa, FL on 12/17/16! I was pretty selective when choosing a DJ because I have been to some weddings where DJs can be pretty intrusive or cheesy. This was not the case with Tamik Entertainment! Our DJ, Terrell, was great! He organized our reception night in a way that kept the night flowing and kept our guests dancing! Throughout the planning process, he was very responsive and willing to listen to our vision for the night, which was executed perfectly. Our guests can't stop raving about how much fun our wedding was! Terrell also went above and beyond what we expected a DJ to do, checking in on us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed, such as food and drinks. We have many families and individuals with autism attend our event and he is responsive to special requests and sensory friendly inquiries from our guests. When the rain started coming down he was prepared to continue playing music and never missed a beat. He has top of the line equipment and brings a full array of lights, etc. to make it a true entertainment experience. Set up and break down was efficient and very professional. DJ Tamik was AMAZING! He really made My Grand Opening for my Salon Perfect. My guest had nothing but nice things to say. He really kept the party going. I would recommend him and Tamik Entertainment LLC to anyone.

Terrell was the best DJ I could have ever asked for!!!! Him and his team went above and beyond to make sure I had the most wonderful wedding. The night was absolutely perfect and I owe a lot to him. They spend 12 hours the day of the wedding setting up and making everything perfect and adding extra lights that turned out amazing!!!! I'm so thankful for him and I would recommend him to every single person looking for a DJ. I will certainly use him again in the future!!! Such a great guy!!!

This was for my wife's 70th birthday and I wanted to surprise her with a party as in the "old days" with our music and our playlist. Terrel found everythng. He took requests during the party (French songs) that were met promptly. He nudged the crowd into dancing and action. All the guests were very complimentary about the music. People will talk about this party for a long time

Tamik Entertainment did an excellent job for our company holiday party! Professionalism at its' best. They were able to provide a wide variety of music from top 20 to Bollywood to Latin. When the crowd was confused on the line dance steps, Tamik Entertainment was able to step in and provide guidance and encouragement. Great fun was had by all on the dance floor.

Our wedding had a HUGE age gap from 1 1/2 to 75 years of age and we needed to have music from all genres in order accommodate the age gap; he listened to all our needs. During the entry to the bridal party we had forgotten to put individual songs down for the Best Man and Maid of Honor, we started to stress but he was calm and just down loaded the songs we wanted really quick so that we had the unique entry we wanted. He was extremely entertaining through out our wedding without being intrusive upon our guests and allowed them to enjoy themselves, but still be a part of the event himself. We definitely hired the right person for our wedding; thank god our first DJ cancelled on us. :)

Great and fun DJ! Never a dull moment or drawing out songs that arn't hitting it off with the guests. Also gives you tons of tips and pointers if your're not quite sure how the reception should go. Even allows a "do not play list" for some of us who don't quite enjoy the chicken dance =)
