Delicious and Beautiful Wedding Cake and Cupcakes!

We are so happy we chose Evan and Sweets by E for our wedding cake and cupcakes! From the very beginning, she made the process so easy and enjoyable. The tasting was such a fun experience, and every flavor we tried was absolutely delicious. It was hard to even pick our favorites!

When we finally saw the cake and cupcakes on our wedding day, we were so happy. They were not only beautiful, but they truly exceeded our expectations. Every detail was perfect and fit our vision so well. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing everything tasted. So many people went back for seconds!

Working with Evan was such a joy. She was so kind and responsive, and you can tell she really loves what she does. We’re so grateful for her talent and care, our dessert table was a total hit! She helped make our wedding day the best day ever!

The Sweetest Ending to Perfect Night

Evan was an absolute delight to work with! She took the time to understand our needs and made sure we were getting what we needed and what we wanted. She was transparent about everything we would need for the size and type of wedding we hosting, and from just a few inspiration photos, she crafted a cake that surpassed all expectations! Delivery and setup were flawless, and she went above and beyond by coordinating with our florist to ensure the cake florals were arranged perfectly.

The cake was not only stunning but also incredibly delicious! My husband and I were amazed—this was not the usual overly sweet wedding cake that prioritizes looks over taste. Even guests who aren’t typically fans of sweets were raving about how fantastic the cake was.

So yummy & delish

Absolutely DELISH! Evan was so great to work with (a JMU alum like myself!) We were able to sample a variety of different flavors, as well as she made our sweet dreams come true. Our guests raved about every cupcake flavor - there were no leftovers! Flavors: Lemon Cake with Raspberry Buttercream, Cinnamon-Brown Sugar Cake with Vanilla Buttercream, Chocolate Cake with Cookies & Cream Buttercream, Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Cupcakes were so easy for our guests to grab and enjoy it was perfect. We had a Funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream sweetheart cake that was the most perfect size for us to cut and take pictures with, as well as safe for our anniversary. SO yummy! 10/10!

The Perfect Wedding Cake!

Our wedding cake was exactly what we were hoping for. We sent Evan some inspiration pictures and she helped us translate those pictures into the simple, yet elegant wedding cake of our dreams. She offers a wide variety of flavor/icing/filling options and it was a blast to taste our way through our top choices. Not only was the wedding cake beautiful to look at, but it was delicious too! Evan was easy to work with and the quality of her work speaks for itself. Can't recommend her enough!

Perfect minimalist, modern cake

Sweets by E came recommended to us by our caterer due to her being a local, small business owner – a rarity in the DC wedding scene, apparently. We reached out to Evan about 5 months before our wedding to plan a tasting and design consultation. After an hour debating which flavor was the best, we chose the Royal Wedding with a white and lavender buttercream. On our wedding day, Evan arrived early, finished decorating the cake with flowers from our florist, and put our cake topper on before she ran off to another wedding. Despite Evan’s busy schedule, we never felt secondary. She answered all of our questions and even a last second, surprise request by the bride – a chocolate cupcake for the groom. Evan is an amazing, detail-oriented baker and we highly recommend her!

Everything about Sweets by E is such a treat!

A friend of ours recommended Evan’s services when we first started planning for our wedding cake. She is really easy to work with, she is responsive and attentive, and extremely talented. She quickly understood our vision for our simple yet elegant 2-tier wedding cake.
Her menu consists of a broad variety of flavors and for cake lovers like us it was difficult to decide, so of course we had to sign up for double the dose of tasting boxes with various flavor assortments. They all were delicious. We ended up going the classical route and chose a simple vanilla cake with vanilla cream and fresh strawberries, mainly because we figured that’s how our guests may likely enjoy the cake best and also it went well with our design. We also placed a large order of Macarons, because who doesn’t love Macarons – we got most of the flavors Evan offers!
On the day of, Evan delivered our cake and sweets to our wedding venue and finished the design with the flowers supplied by our florist. Everything was incredibly tasty and fresh and we received a many compliments from our wonderful guest. I must emphasize that the design was on spot and more; E is a cake wizard and her work is phenomenal!
We will continue spreading the word about E and surely use her services in future (fingers crossed she will have time to make our taste buds happy and our gym memberships busy).

Delicious cake, incredible experience!

I highly recommend Sweets by E for your wedding cake needs! From the moment we first connected with Evan, her expertise in the industry was evident. She was able to provide recommendations (all of which we are grateful we ran with!) around how much to order, when to have her deliver and flavor breakdowns for guest preferences -- things that we would have been lost on without her guidance. We ultimately worked with her to order a small cutting cake as well as several flavors of cupcakes for the guests. For the cutting cake, we had a rough idea of what colors and designs we were interested in, and Evan was able to create a beautiful cake design based on our rough brainstorm — we were so impressed! It must also be noted that all of her flavors, many of which are very innovative and creative — as well as more traditional flavors — are absolutely delicious. Despite the high volume of business that we know she has, Evan made the experience so personable and was incredibly responsive. I highly recommend Evan and Sweets by E!

We can’t speak highly enough of Evan’s cakes! We knew as soon as we tasted her options that we had to choose one for our wedding. The tiered cake turned out even more beautifully than we imagined, and all the guests raved about the combination of the lemon curd and raspberry filling! Amazing wedding cake!

Sweets by E have just the best wedding cakes around this area. We did tasting in many different places but when we tried Evan’s cakes it was just delicious! I had plenty of wedding guests saying that the cake was amazing and it was the best wedding cake they had in a very long time! Besides the cake being delicious, the design was also beautiful. The best wedding cake ever

Book Sweets By E for your wedding! Seriously. We are both huge dessert fans, so picking a cake that tasted as wonderful as it looked was important to us. Evan created the cake of our dreams, even going out of her way to save us money on decorative flowers. It was the best tasting wedding cake us and many guests have had, and that's really saying something! We're still dreaming about her chocolate cake with oreo filling.

Delicious!

We ordered our wedding cake from Sweets By E and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Before the cake tasting we had a family emergency and she was easily able to reschedule. After the tasting she was able to send me a photo of exactly what I wanted the cake the look like and it was ready with no hassle for our wedding. We had the chocolate cake with peanut butter filling, 10/10 recommend (I’m normally not even a fan of chocolate cake but it was amazing!)

Evan is the cake baker you can trust for your big day!

Evan was the perfect wedding vendor. She took our vision and made it a reality, and it was magically beautiful and tasty! As an amateur cake baker and dessert lover, I had high expectations for the chef who was making our wedding cake. Throughout the entire process, Evan was extremely responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions. She made sure we were comfortable with our chosen flavors (a tasting once before we signed and then she was so generous to let us try three flavors closer to the big day). Simply the BEST!

If you are looking for a wedding cake in the DMV area, look no further! I have only positive things to say about my experience working with Evan and Sweets by E. Every step of the process was smooth and easy. We ended up going with a two-tier cake (top layer=funfetti, bottom layer = lemon w/ lemon curd). Both were amazing but guests RAVED about the lemon. So many guests said they had never tasted a better wedding cake...nor had they seen such a pretty wedding cake. Often times you either pick the flavor of the wedding cake OR the appearance. However, with Evan...you get the best of both worlds! Our venue was so impressed by the cake that they asked for her information. PLUS she was so affordable, especially given the high quality. 11/10...thank you SO much, Evan!

Best Gluten Free!!

As someone with a dietary restriction, I was anxious about finding and affordable and good wedding cake. Sweets By E exceeded my expectations. Not only could I do a gluten free tasting, but guests at the wedding were questioning if it was actually gluten free because it was SO GOOD! I can't speak for her gulten-filled selections, but everyone at attendance raved about our cupcakes. I was extremely happy to not only be able to eat cake at my wedding, but to have someone who would create that experience for me!

Evan is Superb!

We reached out to Evan after deciding that we'd like to get a variety of cupcakes and a small wedding cake for our wedding. She was super sweet and easy to work with. When we were trying to schedule a tasting, our schedules were a bit all over the place, but Evan was super flexible and worked out a pick up instead, so we could try the different cupcake/cake flavors at home. After we booked, we sent her some inspo pics and our cake came out exactly as we had hoped (and even more delicious than we could have imagined ;). Evan was wonderful to work with- we'd highly recommend her!

Amazing experience

Evan was one of the easiest vendors we worked with in planning our wedding. We were in and out of her studio within 20 minutes with a complete idea of what our cake would look like, the flavors, and the cost. Amazing wedding cakes!

Evan actually made us two wedding cakes. One was a three-tier cake (gluten free!) and the other was a sheet cake. Both cakes were beautiful and tasted great - guests were raving about both. The whole experience with Evan (planning through cake delivery) was great. Highly recommend!!!

Sweets by E cakes are beyond GOOD.

Everyone loves cake, but Sweets by E cakes are beyond GOOD. We chose Sweets by E after first tasting my sister's wedding cake since she knew Evan already. I am SO glad we did because not only is Evan professional, so nice and organized but she knows how to BAKE. A. CAKE. The tasting was so yummy and we tried a bunch of different flavors that were all so delicious. We decided to go with Cookies and Cream and Cinnamon Sugar and everyone raved about it. We had guests asking if they could bring some home with them. I definitely recommend using Sweets by E for any cake you need- wedding, birthday or just because you want cake. Thank you Evan!

My cake turned out Amazing!

Evan was the third Baker I tried, when determining who to choose to make my wedding cake. I’m very picky and she did not disappoint at the tasting! The tasting went very well and we ended up choosing 3 flavors; the chocolate cake with cookies and creme buttercream, the cinnamon brown sugar with vanilla buttercream, and the vanilla cake with vanilla and strawberries folded in.. we told her our vision and the cake turned out just as great as I expected! Excellent job and it matched our cake stand perfectly!! I

Evan is amazing! She made us a perfect cake and cupcakes. She was even able to add another dozen cupcakes to our order only a couple days before the wedding! Gorgeous and delicious!

We tried a couple of bakeries before choosing Sweets by E for our wedding cake. Our decision was based on both the look of her cakes and (more importantly) the fact that it was the moistest and best tasting cake (by far) that we had tried. I was a little nervous that the cake at the wedding wouldn't be as good as at the tasting, but I had nothing to worry about. We got three flavors of cake and they all tasted amazing! On top of that, the buttercream and flower decor looked just as we had imagined it. I am so glad we went with Sweets by E and cannot wait to get more cakes from Evan for all my future special events!!

Our cake and cupcakes were such a huge success at our wedding. Evan was extremely timely and professional and responsive throughout our entire wedding planning process. Her cupcakes are very adorable compared to other companies and she offers the most fun, unique, delicious flavors!! Our main cake was coconut and so many people ranted and raved about it. We tried several other cupcakes before visiting Evan and were quite impressed by her tasting. We were very pleased by the quality of the cupcakes for the price. The cupcakes are moist and the icing isn't overly cloying or heavy- a perfect balance. We had three flavors- brown sugar cinnamon cake with cream cheese frosting (the crowd favorite), chocolate Guinness cake with salted caramel frosting, and almond cake (delicious!) with raspberry frosting. She also made a small cutting cake for us which was almond cake with vanilla frosting. Delicious!

We have used Sweets by E for a number of occasions which made Evan SUCH an easy choice for our wedding! About four years ago, I found Evan online to do my then-boyfriend, now-husband's birthday cake and it was, hands down, the BEST cake we had ever put into our mouths.

When we finally got engaged, we emailed Evan immediately to make sure she was free for our wedding date. She was, and we couldn't have been more excited. Not only is she completely reasonably priced, but we had three layers of cake, all different flavors: amaretto cake with fresh raspberry filling, cookies and cream and our all time favorite, chocolate cake with whipped peanut butter filling. We had buttercream frosting and ordered it to feed 70-80 people since our catering package came with desserts as well (we had a wedding of 125 people).

I also couldn't decide between a couple of simple, but elegant cake stylings, so I said to her "surprise me!" And she did. Our cake was beautiful, delicious and very memorable.

My favorite part about using her is that we did not need to worry about saving the top layer of our cake - within your contract, she includes a replica of your top later for your first anniversary! We can't wait for next June just so we can relive the amazing cake from our most perfect day.

We have every intention of giving Evan our business for every big celebration that requires cake. We love giving her our business because it just means more deliciousness in our lives!

Evan's cake is hands-down the best cake my husband and I have ever, ever, ever tasted!!!! When we started looking for our wedding cake, I didn't think I would care much because I always thought I "hated" cake, but it's my husband's favorite dessert and we wanted a traditional cake at our wedding. We got married in Frederick, MD and went to a TON of cake shops in the area to sample cakes for our big day and nothing excited us (and some were just not good...). We found Sweets by E while researching and saw that she had a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Cake -- which we were both very excited to try. Evan was very sweet but explained that, unfortunately, our wedding venue was outside of her delivery zone so we may want to reconsider doing a tasting there. We decided to take a chance and make the one-hour drive to Herndon, VA and I am SO GLAD we did!!!! We tried a few cake flavors and ALL of them were amazing! We ended up going with the Brown Sugar Cinnamon because it was our absolute favorite and felt so unique and so "us" (we're big fans of cinnamon rolls, pop-tarts, etc!). My dad drove to Herndon on the morning of our wedding and Evan was so sweet and helpful in getting the cake in the car. Not only was our cake GORGEOUS, but we received SO many compliments from our guests about how delicious it was. When we ordered the cake, we ordered for the number of guests we were inviting, so we ended up having cake left over and I am SO grateful for that!! I have no idea how it's possible but the cake still tastes just as good after freezing it and then defrosting it in the toaster oven. My husband and I have said that we 100% be making the drive to Herndon to get our cakes from Sweets By E for every future life event (baby showers, our future children's birthdays, etc). Thank you, thank you, thank you, Evan!!!

Evan did a wonderful job with our wedding cake. It was delicious and gorgeous! My husband and I were so happy with everything. We did a vanilla with strawberries and cream for the 3-tier cake and German chocolate for a sheet cake. So yummy! She is such a pleasure to work with, very nice, and I would absolutely go back to her with any cake needs again.
I even had a snafu with misplacing the cake toppers (my error) and nobody knew because how great the top was decorated on the fly. We also enjoyed every flavor we tried during the tasting and feel like you can’t go wrong with her choices! Definitely recommend Sweets by E. Thanks Evan!

Sweets by E is awesome! Evan did an amazing job ) with our cake. The tasting was fun and she answered all their questions. We wanted something a little bit unconventional (a “peekaboo “ cake ) and she delivered big with the final product. Our cake was traditional on most of the outside and had everything the bride wanted, but we had a small portion of it that showed three Star Wars images, one on each of the three tiers. When we did the tasting we were surprised at our taste buds liking to the strawberry cake. You have to try the strawberry cake! The groom constructed a motorized Lazy Susan that would rotate the cake during the night to show the guests all sides of the cake. Evan worked with the venue to make sure that the cake was on the Lazy Susan and integrated seamlessly. It was definitely a highlight of our day! We would absolutely recommend sweets by E to any couple getting married.

Evan did an AMAZING job with our 4 tier delicious buttercream cake! We had 3 different kinds of cake (to include vanilla, berries, and chocolate) in our 4 tiers and everyone was raving the entire night (and days after!) Sweets by E, was fantastic. We met with Evan, and outlined what we had in mind. Evan was able to take our idea, and create exactly what we were looking for. We had a smaller two tier cake, and about 150 cupcakes of different flavors. When we arrived our cake table looked stunning, with our cake taking center-stage surrounded by E's confectionary works of art. Evan was incredible and we would highly recommend Sweets by E!

I cannot recommend Sweets by E enough! They made the most DELICIOUS cupcakes for our wedding, on May 6th 2017! We decided to have cupcakes for our guests and a small two tier cake for ourselves and our wedding party. Im not even joking when I say you've never had a cupcake or cake like this, completely exceeded my expectations, delicious! And during the tasting she had many flavors and options available to suit your tastes, I favorite is fruity flavors so she had several combinations of lemon, raspberry, and strawberry icing and cupcakes, SO GOOD and perfect for our spring wedding. But she had lots of other options too. Also we requested a difficult cake, a red and black checkerboard interior cake (on my husbands request) and she made it happen no problem and it turned out great! Exceptional desserts, we absolutely loved the quality and service of Sweets by E!

Evan created the most beautiful and delicious cake for my wedding! For the cake tasting, she provided four samples of my choosing and my husband and mom were also able to attend. She took the time to look at my inspiration photos to make sure that the tiers, icing type, and floral placements matched my vision. We even were able to do a two-tiered cake with two different flavors! The wedding cake was flavorful and moist! Plus, Evan will be providing us with a fresh cake on our 1-year anniversary.

We loved working with Evan for our wedding. She is super sweet and easy to work with! We were able to quickly schedule our tasting and she made our vision come to life. She was also super helpful in offering us other options to help cut costs, which was super nice. Our wedding guests loved the cake - we had opted for a red velvet (my favorite) and it was so delicious! We received a lot of compliments on the cake! I was looking for a simple cake for a small wedding of 20-25 - though it ended up being 19! She was more than willing to work with me (where many other bakeries said they wouldn't make a cake that small!) Evan was timely getting back to me by email, phone, or text. My fiance and I had a hard time deciding on what flavor we wanted as they were all amazing! We settled on chocolate cake with coffee filling, it was TO-DIE-FOR. She was even kind enough to make my mother her own cupcake with a different type of frosting because of a soy allergy! The day we picked up the cake we accidentally dropped the cupcake on the way to the car and she was more than happy to re-piped the frosting for us - crisis averted! My cake looked exactly as I had described to her .. like a tree trunk with our initials carved into the side inside a heart. I would HIGHLY recommend her for your next event!

Buy your cake from Sweets by E. We got a funfetti cake with a simple white frosting, decorated along the bottom with multi-colored hard candy. It looked great, and tasted even better. And it was a great value, especially compared to some of the higher end bakeries in DC. Again, the cake looked great, tasted better, and wasn't expensive. Go buy some cake.

I loved working with Evan at Sweets by E. I had a very small wedding of less than 20 guests and Evan was still willing to help me with a cake for the reception. Not only was the cake extremely beautiful but the flavor was delicious and so light and fluffy! I highly recommend the almond cake with almond buttercream. It was a huge hit that everyone loved! In addition, I asked if Sweets by E could prepare a special grooms cake. Evan was able to make me the most stunning Guinness glass shaped fondant cake with Guinness chocolate cake and Bailey's cream icing! My groom was SO SURPRISED! Sweets by E did the cake for our September wedding and it was absolutely perfect! We wanted a small (two tier) and simple cake, and after some extensive research I found Evan's website. I loved her portfolio of simple, clean designs, and it was breeze setting up an appointment. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tasting, as well as the variety of flavors she offered. We opted for one tier of dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling, and one tier of almond cake with strawberries and cream filling. We had buttercream frosting, and Evan worked with us to adapt a design from her portfolio that we loved for our smaller cake. She was very responsive, and answered all our questions about what the cake would physically look like (we didn't want a huge, imposing cake) and about whether the cake stand we purchased would work with our cake. Payment was easy and her prices were reasonable. On the day of the wedding, she was on time and coordinated easily with our florist to arrange flowers on the cake. She was in and out very quickly and our cake looked so beautiful. When we cut into it and had the first bite, it was delicious! We received many compliments on it, and folks who normally never eat cake told us that they definitely had ours :) I would recommend Sweets by E for any special occasion, and thanks again to Evan for helping make our wedding day both beautiful and tasty!

Highly recommend! I found Evan after a lot of googling and one not so good tasting elsewhere. Although our cake looked classic (four tiers of white striped buttercream with flowers provided by our florist), we opted for no-so-classic flavors. We did two tiers of pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling and two tiers of funfetti with vanilla buttercream. They were soooo good, and the guests raved about them! Plus, Evan will give you a free small cake on your anniversary, so there's no need to freeze the top tier!

We LOVE wedding cake. I am specifically a buttercream frosting snob. After having tastings with a few other cake vendors, we were not wow'd. We wanted a single tier ruffled ombre cake with buttercream frosting and Evan delivered! We also got mini cupcake and cake-balls and despite having a few other dessert items (this was an Indian wedding with a lot of food!), and we totally ran out of the baked goods Evan had made. Once Evan quoted us how much our cake and baked goods would cost us, we got so excited that we ordered a groom's cake too (a fondant Lego head, since my husband is a fan and we are goofy like that!). Our guests thought the Lego head was just decorational because it looked SO REAL (it was an extremely delicious carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.)

Evan has great flavors and we had a tough time choosing what we wanted! She makes all her cakes from scratch and is a super talented one-woman-show (check her out on Instagram people!) We need to go back and get more cake from her since we completely ran out. Our only regret is we didn't get a piece of our wedding cake (since guests got to it before we could haha) and the fact that we couldn't take a photo with Evan, since her set-up time was so quick and we missed seeing her. Sweets by E did an amazing job with our wedding cake!!! We had three different cake tastings with different vendors but once we met Evan we knew we had to go with her. Not only are her cakes delicious but she is so easy going and wonderful to work with and it is obvious she is truly passionate about baking. She understood exactly the look we were going for and once I saw the cake I was speechless! It was so beautiful and it tasted amazing!!! I cannot say enough good things about the work that Evan (Sweets by E) did for our wedding! My husband wanted a cake that looked like a pizza for his Groom's cake. Evan worked with both of us to come up with exactly the plan that would work, look, and taste the best. She was so flexible and offered her own suggestions that complimented what the Groom was looking for. We were so happy with the final product. The cake tasted AMAZING and looked just like a pizza! She even had the cake displayed inside a pizza box for an added touch. You can tell that Evan is passionate about her work and that shows through in her beautiful creations.

Sweets by E was fantastic to work with! Evan was extrememly responsive and we decided to hire her on the spot at our tasting. She thoughtfully included my young stepson in the decisionmaking process, which was sweet and just the kind of vendor we wanted to be working with. Choosing among all of the delicious flavors was the hardest (and most fun) part of the process. Honestly, there wasn't a flavor we tasted that we didn't love. Evan was also offered suggestions about achieving the look and taste we wanted in a cost-effective way - bonus! DO NOT even think about using anyone else for your wedding cake except for E!!

E was incredibly responsive from the beginning of the entire process. She was professional during our tasting (unlike another cake vendor that we came across!), she gave us a ton of different cake options and listened to exactly what we wanted. She worked closely with us on the cake design and delivered exactly what we wanted. We were so happy with how everything had gone for our wedding cake planning that we even had E make our rehearsal dinner cake for us! E made us a really awesome Maryland themed rehearsal dinner cake and was even flexible in making it in 2 different flavors. Even though E will make you a top tier for your 1st anniversary, our venue saved the top tier for us and we got to enjoy it after our honeymoon (and it still tasted delicious!) Couldn't be happier with E's work and will definitely be going to her for any of our future baking needs :)

I will never forget the very first email to Evan. I found her website through weddding wire and emailed her quickly, loving her style of cake decorating. Immediately I received a response stating she would love to work with us, however, she would not be able to do a tasting any time soon due to just giving birth two weeks ago! I was not only shocked by her responsiveness, but also, impressed that she would be able to work with us. After completing our tasting, we fell in love with not only her decor of cake, but also her ability of baking. The cakes tasted amazing!! They were soft and moist, and just enough sweetness. When my now husband and I had trouble deciding on one particular flavor, Evan offered to permit us the choice of three flavors for 3 different sized cakes! How much fun that would be! We chose: Chocolate with raspberry filling and chocolate cream filling, Chocolate and Peanut Butter filling, and Vanilla with raspberry jam filling. All three were amazingly tasty, and at the wedding all our guests continuously complimented on how delicious our wedding cake was. We appreciate the ease and flexibility of Evan and loved her calm and caring demeanor during our wedding planning process. Thank you Evan for making our day so delicious and special!

Evan was amazing! She made us three different cupcakes and a one tier cake for my husband and I to cut. They were delicious and everyone loved them! When we went to go for our tasting she was extremely friendly and personable and ensured us that our wedding was going to be something special. She even catered to our gluten free friends and they loved them!! I would HIGHLY recommend Evan.

I wish I could give more than five stars because that is exactly the kind of experience and quality you will get from working with Evan. I am not a big cake person; HOWEVER, our cake was AMAZING. We had so many people comment to us about how great our cake was - and we couldn't have been more pleased with how beautiful it looked. We wanted something classic, simple and elegant and our cake was exactly that.

I cannot describe how happy I am to have found Evan. I LOVE CAKE and i knew that I wanted to make sure the cake tasted great and also looked beautiful. Since we were paying for our own wedding out budget was limited. Some estimates were a bit out of our range and only tasted "ok". Evan was amazing - from our tasting to the day of. After our first tasting I decided I wanted a custom flavor. She was so flexible - she even made me extra tastings of the flavors I was thinking of. The cake turned out beautiful and both flavors were amazing. So many guests kept telling me how great the cake was. On top of everything - evan will make you a fresh top tier for your anniversary :) Anytime I need a cake or cupcakes I'm going to her!

Evan did an amazing job on our wedding cake and she was fantastic to work with. The cake was very good and I received many complements on it (vanilla cake with raspberry cream filling). She worked with my florist to incorporate a beautiful waterfall effect with flowers. Evan was also able to make a small gluten free cake for me (the bride) that matched the larger cake. I was very happy about this. Everything was delivered on time and exactly as discussed. I definitely recommend Sweets by E for your wedding cake!

We did a wedding cake to serve about 120 and a small groomscake. Everything was exactly as I pictured it, classy, and tasted great. I didn't even notice the cake come in because everything was set up perfectly behind the scenes.

Our 5 cakes were stunning and tasted delicious. E definitiely understood the vision i had and helped me make it a reality. There was NO cake left as people went back for seconds and thirds and even was able to accommodate a last minute request for 100 macarons! She's the best!

I would highly recommend Sweets by E. My co-worker referred me to Evan after her recent wedding and I was so happy with the quality of her wedding cupcakes that I thought I would give her a try. I scheduled my tasting and booked that same day! Evan was very accommodating and delivered the cake of my dreams. Literally! I brought a picture I found on pinterest and asked for something "similar"... the day of my wedding I was in shock! She had matched the cake exactly and it tasted AMAZING! I plan on purchasing more cakes from Sweets by E in the near future. Thank you for making my big day that much more special and for me not having to stress about the details.

Months after our wedding, our guests still talk about how delicious Evan's cake was. She did a beautiful job creating the cake my husband wanted, and was flexible about combining different flavors for each layer. The decorations were simple without being plain, which was perfect. I've gone back to her bakery in Herndon since the wedding -- anytime there's a need at the office for a cake, she's the first baker I suggest.

I had such an incredible experience working with Evan for my wedding. She was very responsive, flexible, and (most importantly) the cake was delicious! We decided to go with a cutting cake and cupcakes for our wedding, that way we could offer several different types of cupcakes to our guests. We only heard great reviews from our friends and family - I only wish I had the time that night to try them all!

We absolutely loved our cake and cupcakes from Sweets By E! Our guests complimented the cupcakes all night. Not only were they delicious, but they looked beautiful as well! Evan was wonderful to work with and was very accommodating to meet our needs. She offered us several options to choose from in order to cut costs, which we really appreciated. We would recommend Sweets By E to anyone looking for a delicious wedding cake that isn't crazy expensive!

Sweets by E did a wonderful job with our cake for wedding! We had wanted to do something non-traditional and out of the box, and E was more than willing to work with us to get what we wanted. She had multiple ideas that would work with our thoughts, and continued to make suggestions until we finally decided on our dream cake for a very reasonable price. We couldn't have been any more pleased with our wedding cake. It was beautiful. Our guests felt the same way. Not only did it look fantastic it tasted better! We would definitely recommend Sweets by E to any couple looking for a wedding cake. The selection process was actually fairly easy. We went through a catalog of pictures from previous cakes and were able to select our choice. The price was very fair and the wedding cake was 5 stars!

Evan was very easy to work with and made sure she understood very well what my husband and I wanted for our wedding cake. I don't even know where to begin in explaining Evan's talent in cake decorating. I ordered both my groom's cake and wedding cake from Sweets by E, and both of them were beautiful and delicious. Where do I begin when talking about Sweets By E... Absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! WOW! I wish all wedding vendors were as kind, warm, enthusiastic, and flexible as Evan. The quality absolutely exceeded our expectations. During the receptions and the weeks after, everyone was commenting on our wedding cake. Really, Evan is such a wonderful talent that we are so thankful to have in our wedding experience. Her baking is so good, that our friends getting married after us are using her as well. Let me just start off by saying I didn't want a wedding cake. I've always been the girl who prefers a fruit tart or ice cream cake, so the thought of spending money on a giant cake wasn't a priority for me while planning the wedding. With a little "encouragement" from my mom ("who doesn't have a wedding cake?!") I caved... And man am I glad I did!!!

We stopped by the shoppe to try some flavors and the girl who didn't want a cake found herself in love with so many flavors it was hard to pick! Our cake became something I looked forward to for the entire planning process!

Fast forward to the big day and the cake was a hit! Just as beautiful as it was delicious.

Evan was such a joy to work with- so responsive, personable and accomodating. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking to be amazed. She won't let you down. In fact, we used her for my shower before the weddig bc we were so excited about the cake. Can't wait to use her again!

We had a wonderful experience working with Evan. I showed her what kind of cake I had in mind and she brought it life! Our wedding cake not only looked incredible, but it was absolutely delicious! Our guests are still complimenting how we had "the best wedding cake they've ever tasted!". The cake Evan made for our wedding was the best. cake. ever. Not just in comparison to other weddings cakes, but in comparison to every other cake I've ever had. We decided to go with two different flavors in alternating layers - dark chocolate with coffee cream and pumpkin with cream cheese - and both were absolutely delicious. Not only was the cake moist and flavorful, but it was also wonderfully decorated thanks to Evan's abilities to work her magic with just buttercream (I was absolutely against having fondant). So many of our guests came up to us after the wedding (and even 2-3 weeks after the wedding) and told us that it was one of the most memorable and delicious wedding cakes they've ever had.

In terms of the process, Evan was so helpful from the beginning. We scheduled a (free) tasting at her bakery in Virginia (which was super adorable) and she offered us several different cakes and frostings to choose from. Evan did something different from the other cake tastings we went to in that she actually paired the cakes with the frostings so that you get an idea of how complementary the flavors can be. At our other cake tastings, we were presented with the cakes and frostings separately and left to play with the pairings on our own. That sounded like a great idea in theory, but it actually just ended up being really confusing for us. As for the design of the cake, I sent Evan some pictures on Pinterest and she was really responsive over email in terms of finalizing the look with me. She was always receptive to my ideas and flexible about what could/could not be done.

Overall, Evan was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to all of my friends!

I cannot gush on long enough to say how AMAZING our cake was! Not only did it serve its purpose of being a beautiful cake to look at, but it also tasted GREAT! I've never been to a wedding where I thought the cake was exceptionally tasty-but I was so happy to experience that my own wedding cake was DELICIOUS. Our guests kept telling us how amazed they were by how good this cake was-they even asked to take some leftovers home at the end of the night! Erin was amazingly professional and one of my favorite things about her services is that she bakes you a whole new "top tier" so that you canhave a fresh one on your first anniversary! I highly recommend Sweet by E for all of your cake needs!!

Evan was great to work with! Since I lived in NY while planning my wedding in VA, we only had one in-person meeting but she made me feel so comfortable. We emailed a few times back and forth - I even had a request to make my top layer gluten free and she was SO accommodating. Everyone LOVED the cake. I only had the GF part and it was amazing. All my guests raved about the cake. A close friend of mine who doesn't even like cake said she actually ate a whole slice so...I feel like that says a lot :) I would definitely recommend her - the cake was gorgeous and delicious and very, VERY reasonably priced!

My daughter had a very specific request for her wedding cake. She wanted a "naked cake", which is a tiered cake with only frosting in the layers. Evan made the cake so beautiful. It was delicious and got rave reviews from everyone. It was beautifully displayed and exactly what my daughter dreamed of. She also offers an anniversary cake that she will make each year instead of freezing a layer which is wonderful! The price was very affordable and delivery was right on time.

Evan made the most amazing two tier Splash Mountain groomsman cake for our wedding! I sent her an inspirational picture and she made it happen! Out of the bridal shower cake, wedding cake and the groomsman cake this one was our favorite. The cake was so moist and tasted delicious! I highly recommend Sweets by E for any of your cake needs!

Evan's cakes are both gorgeous and delicious! Evan is also very helpful and easy to work with. I wasn't really sure exactly what I wanted, but Evan helped me find something that was beautiful and worked with our overall wedding "feel." We had a 4 tier cake with cinnamon brown sugar on 2 tiers and red velvet for the other 2 and they were both fabulous!! Her prices are also very reasonable. She was very flexible with us -- we were planning our wedding from out of town and she let us come in and do our tasting right around the holidays. I would definitely recommend her!!
