Our Perfect Wedding

We are amazed at the quality and level of service Sweet Pea Events provided to make our wedding so remarkable and memorable! The wedding day was absolutely flawless, and they truly made our vision come to life. From incorporating real trees into the decor, to a green and white checkered dance floor surrounded by couches to lounge, a McDonalds as a late night snack, and a horse and carriage ride to end the night- they gave us everything we asked for and more! They captured our relationship so beautifully and understood exactly the type of wedding energy we wanted to have and delivered! We are forever grateful for the Sweet Pea team!

The girls at Sweet Pea made my wedding season SO easy and stress-free. They truly took care of everything, were so incredibly responsive and communicative, made sure I felt good about everything, followed up with our vendors, and said yes to my every single request. I cannot recommend Meaghan, Sara, and the rest of the Sweet Pea team enough for your wedding! They deserve 100/10 stars!

From our initial meeting with Meaghan I felt that she was the perfect choice for my daughter's wedding!

At each of our in person or Zoom meetings Meaghan and Sarah were organized with a detailed timeline of when decisions needed to be made. As the mother of the bride that helped ease any anxiety issues. The day of the wedding everything was perfect! They were in control and if there were any hiccups we sure didn't realize it! Their smiles were ever present and I'd highly recommend Sweet Pea Events!

Meaghan & Sara were an absolute pleasure to work with! They knew what kind of vendors to recommend to us immediately as soon as I had my vision crafted. Their responsiveness to both my mom and I's emails were top notch. Just a fun team overall and made the day-of so easy and relaxing to where we didn't have to worry about a single thing!

Fantastic experience!

Sweet Pea Events was such a huge help to my fiance and I during the final few months leading up to our wedding. Poised, professional, calm, and made sure we stayed on track and on time, and with their help, gave us the flexibility to worry about other items. Meaghan and her team were awesome the weekend of and I was totally at ease knowing they were there helping and making sure all T's were crossed and I's were dotted. I would recommend them to ANYONE!! Awesome, awesome team and A+ on all things wedding coordinating/planning.

Where do I even begin. The Sweet Pea team truly delivered the best day of my life. I know that sounds so corny, but it couldn't be more true. Meaghan and Sara went above and beyond helping me plan the most perfect, beautiful, heartfelt, seamless wedding day. Getting married in a city that you don't live in, and that is on the other side of the country is no easy task, but these women are true professionals and didn't miss a beat. If you are in the DFW metroplex, or even if you're planning to have a destination wedding, rest assured that if you choose the Sweet Pea team, you won't have to worry about half the things that most brides (or grooms) worry about because Meaghan and Sara are always one step ahead. Gosh I just love them and cannot recommend them enough!!!

The Landel/England Wedding

Our daughter decided in April, 2024 that she and her fiancé would like to get married by the end of August 2024. They had been engaged for over a year and had trouble fitting in a date before that. Well, planning a wedding in 4 months may seem a little daunting but we found the perfect Wedding Planner in Sweet Pea Events. Meaghan Cody was available for our date and she guided us so flawlessly through the whole process to the very end. The wedding was held at The Omni PGA in Frisco and Meaghan and her assistant Sara worked very well with the event coordinators at that venue. We were very pleased with everything and highly recommend the team at Sweet Pea Events for your wedding too!

Amazing wedding because of Sweet Pea Events!

As the mother of the bride, I wanted to just "show up" on the day of the wedding and not do anything except enjoy the moment and the day. Sweet Pea allowed me to do exactly that! I absolutely loved my experience with Sweet Pea. They are professional, savvy and relatable. They strike a fantastic balance of keeping you on track, but having fun along the way. Excellent to work with

I worked with Ashley & Meaghan from Sweet Pea and they were incredible. I used their month-of package but their planning well exceed the month-of. Right of the bat they scheduled meetings with me to hear my vision, help make my vision come to life, and provide vendor recommendation. They made the planning process seamless and fun. They provided our wedding timeline down to the minute and coordinated making sure everyone was where they needed to be and when. They made the planning process and the day so special for us and we couldn't have picked a better planner to work with.

Incredible Experience!

Meaghan and her team did an excellent job with the planning of our elopement ceremony as well as our intimate wedding reception. Meaghan is so well-connected and experienced in the industry and she completely eliminated the stress of planning two separate events. Amazing experience!

Meaghan and her team were amazing to work with! We were referred to her by another planner in the DFW area, and she came in 6 weeks out from the wedding and made our lives so much easier! She had helpful suggestions of what to add and what we could do without, and the day of went so seamlessly that I didn't have to all brides! :)

Meaghan and Sweet Pea events are absolutely incredible. In every stage of the planning process, she helped bring my vision to life and to fine tune it with her creative ideas, while staying organized, calm, and levelheaded. As a fellow wedding vendor, our band gets to work with many wedding planners across Texas. It's rare to find a team who can consistently achieve such incredible experiences for clients while keeping such an easy-going attitude. Meaghan is literally an angel sent from Heaven. She made planning our wedding an even more incredible experience than it already was and made our wedding dreams come true. For everything she does her pricing is beyond fair. If Meaghan is your planner you will literally never worry or stress about a thing when it comes to the wedding weekend. My daughter lives in Dallas and I live on the east coast. We were able to accomplish a lot of planning via internet and email, but I knew that pulling it all together in the final weeks would be a challenge. We needed the best. And it feels really good when you find the best of the best! Victoria was a perfect fit. She is so calm but extremely organized and always has the answer. I cannot imagine how we would have managed without her. I don't care how organized you are and how many friends/family members you have that are offering assistance, you need a professional. Trust me! Everyone was able to relax and actually enjoy the day thanks to Victoria.

I would DEFINITELY recommend Victoria to any of my friends getting married. She was so sweet and helpful! The month before the wedding she was on top of contacting all of my vendors and putting together a timeline for the big weekend.

We were planning our oldest daughter's wedding when we reached out to Sweet Pea Events. All that is involved in planning a wedding was becoming super overwhelming and I knew what I didn't know....which was a lot. Victoria was our wedding planner and we were absolutely blown away. She was there to answer every question during the months leading up to the wedding. The month of the wedding and the day of the ceremony/reception...she was priceless. Seriously...the best money we spent. She gave me such piece of mind and helped me enjoy the event knowing that everything was running smoothly. I hope that she will be available to work with us for daughter #2 and daughter #3!!

We had the pleasure of working with Meaghan Cody for our destination wedding in Costa Rica, and I can't recommend her highly enough. She was amazing throughout the entire process. Sweet Pea Events did a fantastic job in helping me prepare for my wedding. I chose the 6 week out plan where they help you select your vendors and then become more involved closer to the wedding. I loved every vendor that was suggested. Sweet Pea was on top of every wedding detail and definitely helped to relieve any stress I had leading up to the wedding.

Kelly and Meghan were unbelievable! Everyone at the Elementary School I work at kept asking me why I wasn't stressed out a month before my wedding. My answer was always the same...I don't have to stress out Kelly's got everything under control. I am so grateful to Sweet Pea Events for allowing me to relax and enjoy my wedding day rather than focus on getting everything done. Their professionalism was outstanding and they thought of things to make everything magical and smooth. It really was the happiest day of my life and I have no regrets. We used Victoria with Sweet Pea Event and she knocked it out of the park! We hired her for month of services and it was so worth it! Victoria was on top of everything and made the final stages of planning so easy. Having her and her assistant Meaghan at the venue all day was so helpful and made everything so smooth. We had to change our ceremony to inside because of weather and they both just rolled with it and made the frustration of an indoor ceremony go away. Being in the industry myself I had A LOT of small details and having her help setting that up was so helpful. I was able to relax and finally enjoy MY day. During the wedding everything went so perfect and I couldn't have dreamed of a better day. Thank you Victoria for everything you did! I would recommend Sweet Pea for all of your planning needs!

Words cannot do justice to our outstanding experience with Kelly Simants and Sweet Pea Events. My fiance and I knew we wanted to get married on our private ranch about an hour outside of Dallas. With very time consuming careers, we knew a wedding planner would be critical for the process. From the moment we began working with her until the day of the wedding, Kelly provided flawless attention to detail and managed the process every step of the way. One of the many strengths that Kelly has is understanding our vision (rustic glam non traditional wedding) and then pairing us up with the perfect vendors for each need. She saved us countless hours of time in knowing which vendors could produce our vision, and helped with all contract negotiations, which we believed saved us financially as well. Her knowledge and expertise was very impressive, in fact I don't think there was a single issue or question she couldn't answer through the ten month planning process, and she was always available for questions along the way. She also went above and beyond at all times. Throughout the process we felt there truly wasn't anything she couldn't make happen. Because of this, we had absolutely no stress on the wedding day as we were certain everything would be right. And the proof is in the final product. Our wedding for 165 of our closest friends and family exceeded our expectations in every way. It was literally in a word perfect. Words cannot express how the vision we had was beautifully carried out. And the remarks we had from our guests were all glowing, many describing it as the most beautiful and personal wedding they had ever attended. Kelly is a professional in every sense of the word, and her services were hands down worth every penny. If you are in need of a wedding planner who you can truly have confidence in that they will create the wedding of your dreams (or exceed the wedding of your dreams) then look no further than Sweet Pea Events!

I worked with Meaghan Cody, when I tell you she is incredible I am not exaggerating. She is the only choice for a planner in Dallas as far as I am concerned! She helped me plan from Florida for a Dallas wedding. She had the best recommendations for vendors. I was a DIY bride and she was more than willing to help, from setting up tables, to building centerpieces, to helping the evening move smoothly, she made everything so much easier. There is no way to even thank her enough for all she did to make my wedding as special and perfect as she did!!! I highly recommend her!!!!!

Kelly and Meaghan are the best! They will make you're wedding perfect! I could not have pulled off a destination wedding in cabo with 70+ guests without them.

They were my back up, my fact checkers...basically the best support system a bride could ask for. They anticipated everything I would need and never failed to try and make everything exactly how my groom and I wanted it.

How can I even begin to express how great these women are? Kelly and her team came highly recommended to me from a friend in the wedding business. Hands down, hiring Kelly was the best decision we made. To give context to my review, we used her for the full wedding planning package. Kelly and her team were professional, organized, thoughtful, and just absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process. Both my husband and I have very busy careers and Kelly was PHENOMENAL about working with our schedules to get things done. She had checklists and ideas galore, but she never imposed her ideas on our day. She had great resources, had tons of vendor suggestions, and never seemed to tire of my endless questions. More than that, she never tired of my parents endless questions. What I appreciated the most was her attention to detail. On the day of, my family and I had nothing to worry about. I knew that she was 100% prepared to pull off a flawless day. From handling the last minute rain without any stress, to managing the gazillions of family members, she handles it all with a smile on her face. Kelly runs her business professionally but also puts her heart and soul into her work. The day after my wedding, my parents said that Kelly was the best money we spent for the wedding. I truly miss working with her and cannot say enough wonderful things about her and her team.

Where to begin! My husband and I were struggling to first decide if we needed a wedding planner and secondly who we should go with. When I first met with Meaghan with Sweet Pea Events, she was friendly and professional. We had a less than 6 month engagement and I was feeling the pressure, Meaghan was so calm and relaxed, she never made me feel like I was behind. Once we moved forward, Meaghan was helpful answering my many questions and was so patient when I changed my mind a million times. She was responsive to all my calls, texts and emails. Our wedding was right after Christmas and Meaghan went above and beyond to be there during a busy planning time for me even though she was celebrating the holidays. We were SO happy with the way everything turned out. Everything was perfect. We walked up to see the reception venue during the cocktail hour before the guests arrived and we were blown away. It was exactly what we had pictured! We seriously wouldn't change a thing about our wedding and Meaghan is huge reason for that. She made sure everything ran smoothly, I never once felt our wedding wasn't going exactly as planned. She was calm and poised and made sure we were happy and comfortable through our the day. Meaghan and Sweet Pea Events did an incredible job from start to finish!

I interviewed 4 different wedding planners before choosing Kelly with Sweet Pea Events. We were planning a relatively large wedding, and my husband and I both work full time. Kelly is an articulate professional who is able to explain her business plans and how she organizes tasks while planning multiple weddings. I know she had other clients, but she made us feel like our wedding was her top priority throughout the entire process. If I sent her an email, she would respond within 24 to 48 hours without fail. We chose her full planning package, so basically, she gave us a checklist each month and told us what our top priorities should be. She truly made the wedding planning process enjoyable, which meant we never really felt any stress. Our wedding weekend was during the huge ice storm in DFW, and I don't know what we would have done without Kelly and Meaghan! For example, she was able to find a replacement hair and makeup artist the day before the wedding because the weather caused issues for the people we booked. Her network is absolutely amazing! Essentially, if she recommended a vendor, we went with her choice each time because we completely trusted her. This wonderful woman is worth at least 10 times her fee!

I cannot recommend Kelly and Meaghan enough. They are so professional and organized, but calm and endlessly kind. I have developed a great rapport with them and was so excited for them to be there on our wedding day! They made vendor selection smooth and were quick to offer opinions or guide me in the right direction when I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. Basically, they are amazing.

Where do I even begin to find the words to describe how amazing Kelly and Meaghan were? The whole process of planning my wedding could not have ran any smoother! Show them your vision in a few photos and they will run with it! I am so glad to say I did not have one stressful moment! These ladies are first class all the way and nothing can stop them! Our service from Sweet Pea was amazing! Not only did our coordinator have a "back-up" cake that she was able to use when mine was dropped, she helped my family to track down all of the special pieces from the ceremony in the week after -- while I was on honeymoon! It was very important to us to find a coordinator who respected the professionalism and talent of the other vendors, and Sweet Pea delivered! Everyone was amazing and guests and vendors alike shared an amazing energy and enthusiasm that will make the night unforgettable!

I worked with Meaghan from Sweet Pea Events. She was helpful throughout the entire planning process, even though we only hired them for the month of planning package. At the beginning she sent a checklist that we used regularly, and then closer to wedding she was incredibly helpful and responsive. She orchestrated the rehearsal perfectly. She confirmed and coordinated the vendors so I didn't have to, and she was right there through the wedding making sure everything went off without a hitch. On top of all that, she helped me get out of a contract with a photography company at the last minute. I was basically desperate to find a new photographer the week before the wedding and she researched and called the company to help me out of the contract. I think that went above and beyond her job description. All in all I couldn't have been happier with the wedding. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Thanks Meaghan and Sweet Pea! You helped make my day truly beautiful.

Kelly was fantastic, her demeanor brought the stress to a low every time, she was informed and quick to respond. She was fun to spend the engagement process planning with, and was very informative about when she'd be available or unavailable, so we'd always know what to expect! Our wedding day turned out perfect, and Kelly, Meaghan, and the Sweet Pea Events team took care of every detail, so the rest of us could sit back and enjoy the day and the small moments! It was such a relief to be able to just leave things up to them, to ask them questions if we needed instead of having to hunt down the answers or something else. They never lost their cool - and handled us as if we were the only wedding they had. They must be phenomenal at juggling the business!! If you're needing an event planner, Sweet Pea Events is who you won't regret choosing! Not only will your event be everything you wanted, no matter how unique (we had some of the most bizarre requests that they handled with ease!), but it will always be almost stress-free to you, and they'll allow you to sit back and enjoy your event to the fullest!

After interviewing several planners, we met Kelly. She was very professional, very nice at our first meeting. She was helpful throughout the process of planning the wedding (about 8 months). If we had a question, (there were many!), She was very quick with a response through emails. She understood what my daughter's vision for the wedding/reception and recommended a florist that she knew would carry that vision through. The month of the wedding, Kelly kicked in to high gear and dealt with all vendors and any problems the vendors had. I had told Kelly I wanted to be a guest at the wedding, my reason for a planner. I can say, without a doubt, my request was granted! Kelly was there at the rehearsal making sure everything went well and answering questions. The day of the wedding, she came to the hotel where the girls were getting ready to make sure everything was going well. She brought a bag full of last minute emergency items, which we did use!! The wedding had a couple of little problems and Kelly fixed them quickly. The reception was a dream come true, and I never had to lift a finger ,or have a minute of worry!!!! I was truly a guest!!! I would highly recommend Sweet Pea Event Planners and Kelly Simants!!!

Meaghan and Kelly were amazing! We had worked with them for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding day and they made sure everything went off without a hitch. We had alot of different vendors we were working with and alot of decorations that had to be assembled and arranged and they took care of everything. It was so great to be able to relax on the big day and just show up and have fun without any concerns. Would definitely recommend them especially because their style is so laid back and casual which is exactly what every bride needs.

We hired Sweet Pea Events for their "Day Of" services and it was the best money we spent on our wedding. Not only did they help us select all of the other wedding professionals we used, but they coordinated the day of our wedding down to the last minute. I didn't have to worry about a thing. However, this is what nearly all wedding planners do... so let me tell you a few things about SPE that I think were above and beyond: They tracked down each of our vendors when we didn't receive return calls from them and followed up and followed up and followed up with them until they had an answer, they finalized the order with some of our vendors that I had a very hard time getting in touch with, they bussed and waited on our tables when the caterer was short staffed, they met with the technicians and set up the projector for our slide show (which we decided we wanted to do approximately 1 hour before the wedding), they calmed my mom down and ushered her on to places where she could be more helpful, they helped my sister-in-law with my niece, they stayed late to make sure my dad got the centerpieces to the reception venue (he forgot to deliver them)... this list goes on and on. Not only are they the nicest people you'll ever meet, but they are down to earth, super organized, calm, and they know everything. I HIGHLY recommend Sweet Pea Events if you are looking for a team that will go above and beyond in every sense.

I absolutely LOVED working with Kelly and Katherine from Sweet Pea! They were professional throughout the entire process, and always kept their cool. Biard and Poyser Wedding

Both my husband and I work full time jobs usually averaging 60 hours each a week. When we first started to get into wedding planning, because of our work schedules, we truly did start to panic. We had our interview with Meaghan/ Sweet Pea Events, and her readiness for that meeting eased our anxieties and worries. It was just an interview, but they came ready with planning schedule, quarterly/ monthly break downs (what needs to be done between which months leading up to the wedding), budget breakdown, and the constant reassurance that they work for us. But as we continued through the wedding planning process, Sweet Pea/ Meaghan and us became so close that wedding planning just overall became so enjoyable. I think for us, we were looking to hire people who shared the same values us - kind, hard working, always positive, completely flexible with our crazy schedules, and supportive. So, thank you to Sweet Pea for helping us throw such an amazing and perfect wedding. I will make sure to always recommend Sweet Pea Events to anyone that cares to listen to me.

Extremely helpful day of service! I would 100% recommend this service to anyone having a large wedding with lots of details! Victoria was very sweet, professional, and very accommodating. She took care of whatever I needed and remembered all the things I forgot on the day of the wedding! I have two little sisters who will likley get married in the next few years and they will definitely be using sweet pea events services. My only word of advice would be to pick out a wedding package according to your needs. If you need/want a lot of help booking, planning, and picking out vendors then go with the full planning service. I found the month of service (pink package) to be more beneficial on the day of the wedding and not as beneficial when it came to saving money and staying organized with all of the booking aspects that go into planning a wedding. With that being said, the day of the actual wedding went perfectly and we would not have been able to pull it off without the help of Victoria and the Sweet Pea events team! So thankful!

Hiring Sweet Pea Events was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. I don't know how we would have done it without the help of our planner, Meaghan. She thought of everything, things that would have never crossed our minds, all the little details that make a wedding special and unique. Sweet Pea Events has great connections which turn out to be wonderful recommendations. Our planner listened to me and helped bring the vision I had in my head to life. She was always one step ahead of things, pushing me just a little on things I was dragging my feet on, planning for the next deadline and guiding us along the way. I can't count the number of times we said to ourselves, "how does she do all of this?". The only hiccup we had was towards the end of the evening of our wedding, there was a mixup with when our customized timeline said the wedding ended to the time the venue said we had to be out. It was just a little hectic and chaotic but I don't think any of the guests really noticed.

Overall, Sweet Pea Events and Meaghan helped me plan a wedding that was everything I dreamed of and so much more! They take so much stress off your shoulders. I would recommend them to any bride planning her wedding.

Sweet Pea Events was fantastic the day of our wedding! They organized all the deliveries, performed the set-up, and took care of all the little details. We purchased a "partial" planning package because we wanted to save money and make the "big" decision ourselves. We ended up executing all of our contracts with vendors and doing a lot of coordination with the vendors. In hindsight, it might have been better to go with the "full" planning package so that we didn't have to do all of those things.
