We were first introduced to the Sugar events team when we hired Sahil through our previous planner. We immediately took a liking to him because he seemed organized, professional, and had a very down to earth demeanor. Unfortunately, we had to change planners, so we reached out to Sahil to see if he recommended any full service planners. He suggested we use the planning team at Sugar Events and that ended up being an excellent choice! Sahil and Kamden did an incredible job of matching the vibe to the moment. My non-Indian fiance was very nervous about the baraat but Sahil made him feel very reassured and hyped him up. They did a great job of MCing during the ceremony and reception program. Finally, they once again created a hype environment for the reception. We really appreciate all the hard work Sahil and Kamden put in! -

We hired Sugar Events for DJ and Lighting services for our Sangeet, Wedding and Reception. We loved how organized, responsive, and straightforward they were and they helped us build our timelines and answered questions quickly. When we later found out that our venue didn’t allow some effects we had originally paid for, Saahil was flexible in modifying our package and pricing. On the days of the events DJ Kru kept the crowd energized, explained all the elements, and followed our requests while adding his own fun twists. He played the best music on the dance floor with killer transitions, kept everyone hype and was able to keep our Sangeet and Reception varied so it felt like two different big parties! We had the best time and got so many compliments from our guests! Would highly recommend DJ Kru and rest of the Sugar team! -

Sahil knows how to keep everyone on the dance floor! We had our reception at Offley Place, UK and the dance floor was filled all night long! He was always extremely professional and great at communication. He made sure we were happy with the type of music being played and ensured the music vibed with the guest’s tastes too. Booking Sahil was our best decision, he went above and beyond for us and he made our day absolutely perfect! -

I honestly don’t even know where to start with Sahil and the whole DJ fam — they completely blew it out of the water.
Literally every single person (like 300+ people!!) at our wedding came up to us and said something along the lines of, “That was the BEST wedding DJ we’ve ever heard.” And honestly? They weren’t lying. You know how at some weddings you’re just standing there like, “Uhh… why are they playing this right now?” Yeah — never happened. Not once. The vibes were immaculate the whole weekend.
Sahil sat down with us multiple times leading up to the wedding to walk through every detail — songs we needed, songs we didn’t want anywhere near our playlist, and all the genres we love. We told him we wanted the Sangeet and Reception to have totally different feels, we told him we wanted a specific percentage of this genre vs that, and he delivered on that x100. The energy was so high the entire time that people actually didn’t sit down for dinner. The dance floor was lit the entire time.
Sahil killed it as MC, and Sagar, Viraj, Ravij, and Ayush were the ultimate hype squad. Like, truly unmatched energy. They kept the crowd going the whole time and handled all the chaotic behind-the-scenes stuff like pros: last-minute song changes, random performance add-ons, family requests for music, timeline not being followed… they just rolled with everything without missing a beat.
And don’t even get me started on my husband’s Baraat, I had serious FOMO. It was so hype I wish I was there as a guest. The team brought color bombs, CO2 guns and their high energy to make it soooo fun.
I’m not even exaggerating when I say I wish I could run our wedding back just so I could be a guest and party with this crew from the other side. Sahil and the team helped create some of the most fun, unforgettable memories of our lives. Can’t recommend them enough for your wedding DJ. Love you guys, let’s do it all over again sometime!! -

Excellent Event! Our favorite vendor!
Sugar Events made our night magical! Leading up to the event, Sahil checked in many times and made sure all the details were fine tuned. We loved dancing on clouds and all the sparklers were timed perfect! The curated playlist brought the hype and kept me on the dance floor until the event ended. I would recommend them over and over again!! -

On the big day, Sugar Events didn’t just play music—they created an experience. The atmosphere they curated for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was absolutely magical. The song choices were spot-on, and they perfectly balanced the different vibes we wanted: romantic and intimate during the ceremony, fun and lively during the cocktail hour, and full-on energy for the reception. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, and it felt like everyone was having the time of their lives.

Michelle and I had our wedding in Detroit in October 2024. We knew our friends love to party, so we wanted our music/DJ/dancefloor to be perfect. DJ Kru and Sugar Events delivered every step of the way. From the very beginning, they were communicative, organized, and friendly. DJ Kru, who DJ'd our event, was especially great. We gave him a general idea of the vibe we wanted on the dancefloor (heavy on 2010s throwbacks, hip-hop/R&B, with some mix of Bollywood and K-pop), and he was able to craft that vibe perfectly. Days after our wedding, we had friends telling us how great the music was on the dancefloor.
And that dancefloor is just part of the story. We had very specific instructions on what/when/how to make certain announcements, and DJ Kru executed it all perfectly. He got all the name pronunciations right, he cued certain songs at just the right times, and he kept the crowd energized and interested even during lulls in programming.
Would highly recommend DJ Kru and Sugar Events for your wedding/party! -

We worked with Sugar Events & Entertainments for our wedding weekend and couldn't be more happy! They were single-handedly responsible for the amazing energy throughout the entire weekend. They DJ-ed for us for three events over two days and executed every moment with perfection.
Sahil had the expertise to make sure every moment is filled with the right kind of music and truly never let there be a dull moment. He really engaged with the crowd to create the most high energy dance floor (bride and groom dance floor spotlights, special songs, seamless transitions, etc).
He was also extremely professional in the way he met with us multiple times the year leading up to the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page with the timeline / scheduling / etc ensuring a perfect weekend :)
P.S We had so many guests compliment us on our DJ choice for the weekend! -

Our Indian/Bengali wedding was initially planned at one venue, but last minute changes forced us to relocate the reception an hour away. The team at Sugar Events stood by us, supported us, and successfully coordinated everything at the new location. I don't have enough words to say why you should hire Sugar Events but I'll do my best. Sahil and Riddhi have such a professional team and business and they go out of their way to make sure you have the event of your dreams. They are extremely organized and keep you on track for what needs to happen. They are also incredibly kind and caring people who want your event to be the best event possible. Sugar has done coordination and DJ services for both weddings in my family. They were so good and so thoughtful that even my parents adore Sahil and Riddhi like their own children. As Desi people, having vendors who parents love is a huge accomplishment so kudos to them.
In addition to Sahil and Riddhi, they have a full service team who somehow manage to be everywhere all at once. They are all dedicated to excellent work and it shows. We had guests tell us after our wedding that our coordination team was incredible!
As for the music - you can't do better than Sahil. We told him we love 90s/2000s Bollywood and he DELIVERED. He played a mix before our Sangeet officially started that is literally the best mix I've ever hear! He also emceed our reception and did a great job.
Seriously, hire Sugar. You won't regret it. -

Sahil & Viraj were absolutely brilliant as our DJ/MC Duo! Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed their incredible skill set and presence during each event. The music was fantastic, they were able to incorporate our requested songs seamlessly and were great at reading the audience to keep them hyped at each event! We all felt as if they were like one of our guests rather than vendors. Their sheer ability to jump in and help out when something was behind schedule or checking in with my husband and I from time to time was highly appreciated. They truly go above and beyond in all aspects, from making sure the AV part is good to go ensuring everyone is all set but also with their amazing hospitality in helping out other vendors when needed! Planning weddings are famously difficult, and even more difficult when a South Asian/fusion wedding is planned within just three months! There were many times when we thought that we didn't have enough time to pull it off, but Sahil and Riddhi made it easy. Starting with Riddhi: even though we hired her only as a partial wedding planner/day-of coordinator, Riddhi kicked in with helpful vendor recommendations immediately, from florists and caterers to finding someone who could expertly tie the groom's turban for our ceremony. Riddhi clearly had immense knowledge and experience of the South Asian wedding industry in Dearborn/Detroit, and this was invaluable to us in our expedited planning process. As the date of the wedding approached, Riddhi kicked in with helpful coordination calls to keep us on track. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Riddhi fully kicked in and took on coordinating directly with the vendors, and our families. On the wedding day, Riddhi took on various tasks to ensure that the day went seamlessly, from driving the bride to our first look to staying at the venue till 1AM helping the bride's mom tear down her DIY decor. She took pains to make sure that we were having a blast at the wedding and that everything went off without a hitch. Going on to Sahil, our DJ: from the start Sahil impressed us by knowing exactly how to approach our fusion (Cuban/Pakistani) wedding vibes. He was able to help us strike the music and MC balance perfectly. Sahil also offered a fantastic barat package, making the barat the most memorable part of the wedding and an incredible way to kick off the festivities. Half of our guests had never seen a barat, however Sahil expertly walked guests through the customs while getting the crowd excited to participate. The package also included a bhangra dance group performance, with the performers being extremely talented and professional. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the MCing and flow of both the ceremony and reception was flawless, with us and our families not having to lift a finger. We could not be more thrilled with our experience with Sahil and Riddhi. They were instrumental to pulling off a beautiful and flawlessly executed wedding in just three months, without even being full-time wedding planners. We couldn't have done it without them and we are endlessly grateful for their guidance and hard work. Sahil and Riddhi, THANK YOU for singlehandedly making our wedding the most special day of our lives! -

DJ Kru (Krupesh) was great to work with. He gave us lots of song recommendations to choose for various parts of our day. He tailored the music to our guests and was very flexible with song choices -- we had a mix of American, Indian, and Chinese songs! He and his team worked well with the priest, the drummer for the baraat, and our photographer team. He gave great suggestions for how to coordinate certain events -- like getting everyone on the dance floor for a group photo! He was also very flexible on the day of the event -- taking song requests and adjusting timings when certain events ran longer than expected. If we had to reach out to him, he was very responsive on WhatsApp, and we were able to coordinate everything with Zoom and Google Docs. -

Sugar Events and Entertainment crushed it on our big day! From the first meeting, Sahil was very organized and professional to work with. He talked us through his different packages of DJ/MC/party services, and we ended up hiring him for DJ and MC, as well as lights, indoor sparkler fireworks, a manned photo station, and fog machine. Sahil used his DJ TV screen to show off our wedding logo during the reception! He met with us several times over the months to plan the events for every part of our reception, including grand entrances, speeches, dances, and more. In addition, Sahil stayed in touch throughout via text, always sharing thoughts and ideas about different parts of the wedding. Sahil gave us lots of music suggestions to work with with and made it easy for us to add our own songs to the mix. Our reception ended up being so much fun! Sahil and his team maintained high energy throughout our entire event and kept everyone entertained on the dance floor. We also hired Riddhi P. as our wedding coordinator and she made sure the entire day was smooth and stress-free. They really made the day feel so special! Working with them felt like we were talking to friends the entire time. Sahil and Krupesh absolutely killed it at our wedding in Cancun! They played all the best music that had EVERYONE (even my 80 year old grandmother) on the dance floor! Working with them was so effortless, as a bride this was the one thing I did not have to worry about at all. They have so much experience with weddings as a whole and did a lot behind the scenes with other vendors to make sure that our wedding had no issues. -

The music/dance party at our engagement party was truly the highlight of the evening! Sahil and his team did a very thorough job of making sure there was a minute-by-minute plan for the whole evening and helped create a structure to our event that was both flexible and still really fun! He made sure things ran smoothly the day-of and we really appreciated the check-ins and meetings prior to the event to coordinate logistics.
The dholi kept every single one of my friends on the dance floor and added a kind of energy to the event that couldn't replicated otherwise.

Sahil, Riddhi, and the Sugar Entertainment team are incredible! They are extremely detail-oriented and it shows. Sahil set up meetings with us months in advance to make sure we had open communication regarding our timeline, and he was able to answer all of our questions in a timely fashion. He went through a minute-by-minute script for each event, from cake cutting to the first dance etc. A number of our guests noted how smoothly our reception went. They truly care about your event and are so passionate about what they do. I was nervous about making sure both the bride and groom's family enjoyed the music, as we had a mix of Tamil and Punjabi families at our wedding. Sahil did a great job of accommodating both types of music and everyone had a blast. I am so grateful that we chose Sugar Entertainment to be our DJ/MC. Looking back it's the best decision we made for our wedding. Best Time Ever
Sahil and Riddhi were amazing to work with. They were super helpful and gave us a lot of tips and guidance for our destination wedding in Cancun. They are very detailed orientated which was great for us as they took care of every request we had. They are really easy to work with and go out of their way to help out. We had 3 days of events and we wanted everyone to have fun at our wedding and Sahil definitely provided the sounds for that. Sahil took the time to understand our taste in music and listened to what we wanted for our guests. All of our guests continue to tell us how much fun they had, and we wish we could do it all over again! -

Sahil and his team did a fantastic job for our mehndi! Even when we were running behind schedule, Sahil was completely accommodating with a shift in timing and kept the mood going all night long. Sahil and his team are incredibly accommodating and are willing to take as many song requests as guests can serve up!
