Rockstar Wedding Planning
I will be singing Melissa's praises for the rest of my days. She was attentive from the start, found the BEST vendors and helped me every step of the way with planning one of the best days of my life. She helped calm my anxiety when I was feeling overwhelmed and simplified everything. The day of our wedding all I had to do was smile for pictures and dance all night! Amazing Wedding Coordination
Melissa was an amazing planner for our wedding day. She was cool calm and collected during the whole day and leading up to the day was super helpful coordinating all our vendors at both our ceremony and reception space. Wedding Planners are a Must
We started the wedding planning process not realizing how much value a wedding planner adds to the ease of planning and flow of the wedding. However, Kelly and Skye were very helpful and nice to work with behind the scenes and on our wedding day. They brought up details that we did not consider and were extremely organized which helped us ensure that all of our blocks were checked on the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, my hairstylist didn't show up on time, and Stylish Ocassions' day of emergency kit helped my make-up artist do my bridal party's hair. They also cleaned up as the wedding progressed and packed our car at the end of the night so clean-up was minimal and easy. You could tell that they were genuinely sharing our excitement with us which spoke volumes to how much they cared about our day. We would recommend Stylish Occasions to any couple looking for a wedding planner. The Absolute Best!!!
Simply put, we could not have pulled our big day together (twice) without Melissa! From our very first meeting in September 2019 to our Wedding 2.0 on October 10, 2021 (post-COVID reception), we knew we were in good hands. She kept us calm, organized, involved, and having fun, especially on our big day! From recommending and helping us book vendors, managing our budget, answering our questions, and making suggestions based on her experience, she made what can be a very stressful time, especially with COVID rescheduling, enjoyable. Most importantly, on the day of our reception, Melissia made everything run perfectly with very little input from us - allowing us to enjoy the day and our guests! She even ran to the store two hours before our ceremony to grab a cake topper after we left ours at home out of state. Melissa, we are so incredibly grateful to have had you with us along this journey and for your amazing kindness and talent. Katie was amazing to work with! We hired Katie from Stylish Occasions for our wedding and she was AMAZING!! She took care of keeping in contact with all of my vendors, creating the day of timeline, doing the rehearsal, and decorating on the wedding day and helping with the tear down. She even brought us a plate of hors d'oeuvres while we were taking pictures so we weren't starving! I was not stressed or worried at all on my wedding day because I knew everything was handled. If you're on the fence about having a wedding coordinator, I'm here to tell you that it is SO worth it. Ally Whiteside with Stylish O was absolutely phenomenal! We started working with her about 6 weeks prior to our wedding and she literally swooped in like a knight in shining armor and took the reigns to ensure every detail was taken care of. Ally was kind, patient, detail oriented and beyond organized. She was in constant contact with me and I felt so confident and comfortable with her being in charge on our big day. Life Saver!
I don’t know where to begin but my experience with Ally from Stylish Occasions was life saving & amazing. If it weren’t for Ally my wedding probably wouldn’t have even ever taken place and we would have just ended up at the JP. She was so patient & professional with all our changes & request. I gave Ally very little to go off of what I wanted but she knocked it out of the water. I told her we wanted a small romantic boho wedding and she saw to every detail and then some. Ally thought of things my mother and I would have never even known, and she coordinated everything for us so that we could actually enjoy our day. She felt part of our family by the end of our wedding and none of it would have been possible with her! Ally is very detail oriented, professional, and creative. I would recommend Stylish Occasions and Ally to any bride no matter what the size of their wedding is. Professional, Organized and an Absolute Pleasure to Work With!
Melissa and her team were amazing to work with! I had tons of questions leading up to the wedding being from out of town. Melissa helped with recommendations for transportation, rehearsal dinner options, officiant, etc. We used many of her recommendations, and everything turned out wonderfully!
Her team ensured our decorations were setup properly on the big day, all of our vendors were in order, and my husband and I got to sit back and enjoy in the moment without any stresses on our wedding day. She also took the time to help place my veil on and keep my bustle in tact throughout the entire reception. A++!

I wouldn’t have picked anyone other than Stylish Occasions to assist me with my wedding. Being an Event Planner myself, I knew I wouldn’t be able to relax without having someone to take care of everything while I was busy relaxing and enjoying my day. I had the privilege of working for Melissa for two years before I opened up my own company, so I wouldn’t have had anyone else be apart of my special day. She is one of the greatest people in the world and so good at her job. Melissa is the BEST! She planned our outdoor wedding in 3 months and it was perfect. She is really organized and prepared for everything. Our Renaissance Wedding Came True!

My husband and I were living in Florida, but wanted a true Renaissance Wedding at the PA Renaissance Festival. Having Melissa was an absolute must in planning our wedding out of state. Wedding Planners Save the Day!!
I was a single Mom of a 3 year old with a new career as a 7th grade teacher AND trying to plan a wedding in another state. I needed help. I called up Stylish Occassions and right away felt relief with Melissa's calm demeanor and assuredness that all of the above would would be accomplished. Phew! Relief ensued.
Here is the thank you email I recently sent to Melissa, owner of Stylish Occassions...
"Ladies, we cannot thank you enough for ALL the countless hours of hard work you put in to make our day seamless. A year of working together to make this happen and now... it feels complete. We have been told many times this weekend that we set the standard for a perfect, beautiful wedding and you both were a huge part in making that happen. I personally may feel a little lost without you both for a while. I may just check in without requests, just “hello’s.” 😊😊.
As you can see, both Melissa and Ally (who we were teamed up with for the actual day and was my "right-hand woman") exceeded our expectations. We're still hearing that it was the BEST wedding that they had ever been to and absolutely everything was so well planned and thought out. From the huge list of vendors, to contracts, to a baptism thrown into the rehearsal the night before the wedding, the church, the reception, even to the babysitter and hair frizz advice. They know it all and have a way of organizing it so that you don't feel overwhelmed.
These ladies know what they are doing . I genuinely miss them already :).

100% the best
Basically, Melissa is the best. I first got in contact with her 2 years before my wedding in a panic since I was planning from out of town and got overwhelmed and she easily calmed me down and assured me everything would be great- she was 100% right. She was there every step of the way during planning with budget help, suggesting vendors, keeping vendors & payment dates on track, and answering all of my questions, all the way down to my incredibly silly ones. The day of she and her two assistants were absolute stars. She kept us all running smoothly during the rehearsal & processional, and her assistants were there to help with anything I needed or had forgotten, and if anything went wrong I had absolutely no idea. She is seriously the most wonderful, and I'm so so glad I hired her to help me with my day!Basically, Melissa is the best. Attentive and detailed
Melissa was an amazing person to work with. She was very detailed in all matters, made suggestions based on her experience and did research for anything that was slightly linked to the wedding. Being a military couple with a recent move, her assistance was invaluable. She even ensured we planned for a lunch meal for the day of the wedding (a lot happening at once) and even found an incredible barber where my husband and sons made wonderful memories and had many laughs just getting ready for the wedding. I highly recommend her service; it will make the wedding easier to plan and relieve the added stress that comes along in the planning process.Melissa was an amazing person to work with. I could write a novel on how wonderful working with Melissa has been, but I'll try to keep it short. From the beginning (about 15 months before our wedding), Melissa was helpful, super responsive, had great suggestions and gave advice on any topic we asked her about. I remember after the first month of working with her (and her great lists and questions for us to ask when visiting venues) my fiance and I said to each other that we already felt like we got our money's worth. Knowing she was always an e-mail away and just always "on it," made our wedding planning so stress-free. We didn't think we could love her any more, but where Melissa (and her assistant Hannah) truly shine is the day-of coordination she provided. Coordination doesn't even begin to describe it. She is somehow everywhere at all times and yet not at all "in the way." She helped my mom be able to relax and my mother-in-law decided she already wants to hire her for my sister-in-law's future wedding (she's not even engaged yet!). During the day, my mom asked Melissa "Can you be my life-coordinator?" She's just that good. She's sweet, kind and very patient. After doing some research, my FH and I decided that it would be a good idea to have a wedding planner just for the day of. We thought we'd handle everything up until then, then let someone else conduct our circus for the day. Then we started doing research for venues, caterers, etc, and we knew we needed a bit more help. So we sat down with Melissa, and it was by far the best planning decision we made!
She created a custom package for us that included not only day-of coordination, but specific things along the way, such as assistance in finding a venue, looking over contracts, vendor referrals, and more. And then Melissa and her team went above and beyond. She gave us info on vendors if she had it, and if she didn't, she found it and passed it along. She set up appointments for us, and was a voice of reason (and a reality check) amidst the chaos. And she always had a good attitude. Sometimes I felt bad for asking so many questions, but it was never a problem.
We also appreciated Melissa's honesty, and the fact that she really grasped that it was OUR wedding. When planning a wedding, you get opinions and advice from everyone and their mother about how you should do things. In the end, it needs to be what YOU want, otherwise it's not yours. Melissa knows this; she is great at giving you options, but the choice is always yours.
I could go on and on! Melissa and her team are just outstanding! They are honest and responsive. The cost was not a bill...it was an investment. And it was the best investment we made in the planning! Our wedding day, the one we worked so hard for, was just fantastic. The only stress moment I had that day was when we had to print directions to the reception and make copies at the last minute. But Melissa said "let me take care of that", and I knew instantly that it would be done, and everything would be fine. And you can't ask for anything more than that! We hired Melissa shortly after our engagement as we knew we would be planning our wedding remotely. We also haven't lived in the Lancaster area for over 20 years so we really needed Melissa's expertise and advice on the local wedding vendor options. One of Melissa's strengths is her network of wedding professionals. We were very satisfied with everyone she introduced us to and it cut out much of the legwork which we appreciated greatly. I am self-confessed, proactive, "control freak" so I probably did not lean on Melissa as much as I thought I would, but it was still comforting to know that she was there for me at ANY time during the year of planning. From simple etiquette questions to using social media to help me find how to accommodate "clip-on" earrings for my flower girls, there is no question that Melissa can't answer. When the wedding weekend was drawing near, it felt great to hand the keys over to Melissa who followed up with all of my vendors on my behalf. Her day of coordination was fantastic as well - our venue created numerous issues but Melissa shielded us from every single one of them, so the day was perfect to me and my husband. Melissa is professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Can't say enough about Melissa. We hosted our own reception so we were responsible for finding and coordinating all vendors. She not only took over managing the entire process, she has connections with the best vendors in the area <-- all her recommendations were spot on! She kept us on track with hundreds of pre-wedding tasks and took a lot of stress off of us. If you want a great and memorable event, seriously, it starts with her.Can't say enough about Melissa.
