Anna was a genuine delight to work with for our wedding. I had such a good time working with her to decide what style felt best, and she was incredibly generous with her time during the hair trial so I could be sure I was happy with the style I chose. She was extremely good at translating inspiration photos into a real, in-person style. The attendants who got their hair done also felt so seen, heard, and celebrated - she took such care with each of them, and it made everyone feel even more excited for the wedding. Plus, she's extremely sweet and funny! Run, don't walk, to get your hair done with Anna. -

I cannot recommend Anna enough! She styled my hair for my wedding day along with my mom, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids, and absolutely nailed it for every single one of us. From the very start, she was incredibly communicative, always quick to respond, and gave fantastic advice that helped me feel confident and excited about my bridal look.
On the big day, she brought such a positive, upbeat energy that made getting ready a joy. She was calm, professional, and made everyone feel pampered and beautiful. Her talent truly speaks for itself—our hairstyles were not only gorgeous but held up perfectly all day and night.
A special shoutout to Roxanna, the additional artist she brought along, who was also fantastic and fit right in with the vibe of the morning. Amazing Hair!
Anna did my hair for wedding 9 years ago and I still get compliments about it when people see my pictures. I have thick curly hair and was worried my vision wouldn’t be achieved. Anna listened and executed amazingly. She was on time and even did my nieces hair who wasn’t on her list because she was 3 and wanted to be pampered too. I had a low bun that when taken out for the party looked amazing and had the curls I wanted. Her work speaks for itself as you will see in pictures. -

Anna did the hair for my May 2024 wedding and it was amazing! Anna and her assistant did myself plus my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom. The girls all loved how their hair turned out and Anna was a great addition to the bridal suite that morning! I was obsessed with how my hair turned out and it held up all night, which is a real testament considering how much dancing took place! Would highly recommend working with Anna! -

Anna is a dream to work with and her styling eye is impeccable. After she flawlessly styled my sister's bridal party, I knew I would be lucky to have her help me on my own big day. She expertly put together the look I was going for, polished yet also romantic, and thoughtfully incorporated the flower pins I brought that day. She's also a joy to be around and to work with (we planned our wedding in about 10 weeks and her continued flexibility and kindness made planning so much easier). Highly recommend. -

Anna did such an amazing job doing my hair! She was able to create the image that I wanted. We originally did a regular updo bun with a few loose curls during the trial, but I wanted more and showed her a few pictures before she started to do my hair on my wedding day. I am still in awe on how it turned out and it held up throughout the day and night. Anna is a talented hair stylist and I recommend her for your special day! -

Ana is the BEST! After going back and forth with "well-known" HMU teams in the DMV area and getting nowhere... I am so glad I found Anna. She was responsive from our initial email. Very professional, but also made me, my mom, and my sister (& all my maids) feel super comfortable. I ended up doing a different hairstyle on my wedding day than I initially did for my trial and she CRUSHED it!! I felt so beautiful. Would recommend her 100 times over. -

I'm a wedding photographer and have worked with dozens of wedding day hair stylists... but when it came to someone for my own wedding day, Anna was my first and only call.
When I reached out, Anna responded quickly and with the information I needed, was easy to work with, and always responded to my questions and concerns within ~24 hours by email.
I have a pixie cut myself and needed minimal styling, but knew I'd have several women in my party who would want styled—a group who is a mix of ages, styles, and hair types. Anna worked with me and our MUA to make sure we had a day-of schedule that worked well, even when some people added and took themselves off the schedule last-minute.
And prior to the wedding, she sent really helpful info for me to share with my party on how to prep their hair depending on their hair type and how they wanted to be styled. My curly-hair friend particularly raved about how helpful this way.
Day-of, Anna arrived a bit early, got set up with time to spare, and was so kind, efficient, and lovely to be around. As a wedding photographer, I can say firsthand how often hair and makeup teams can set a wedding party to running late, but with the schedule we'd built together ahead of time and Anna's efficient work, we finished ahead of schedule.
Everyone seemed so pleased with their styles, which lasted beautifully throughout the day and night. Anna is so wonderful; I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. -

I have so many good things to say about my experience with Anna for my wedding. She made my hair look exactly the way I wanted it to and even better than what I was envisioning! Anna was amazing to work with from start to finish. After our trial, Anna was super patient and professional in brainstorming ways to tweak and perfect the look for the day of. For the wedding, my hair was spot on as was each of my bridesmaids, mom's and flower girl's. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with a hair stylist for me and all my ladies. Anna did a fabulous job styling my hair! I loved my bridal hair, and I know my bridesmaids were all thrilled with their hair styles as well! She worked quickly and was such a fun and calming presence to have in the room with us while we were getting ready before the ceremony! Highly Recommended! Anna was wonderful
Anna was wonderful to work with! I was going through a hair identity crisis and kept changing the style I wanted for my wedding. Anna was so patient and worked with me through it all. It was convenient to schedule my hair trials. On my wedding day, she gave me exactly what I wanted. She also did all of my bridesmaids and flower girls. She was wonderful with everyone and a delight to have in the bridal suite with us all day. We had a lot of girls to get through, so she showed up promptly super early in the morning and made it all happen! -

Loved how my hair turned out
Anna is such a magician with hair. I loved how my hair looked after my trial and it was an easy decision to book Anna. She was so kind and funny and really wanted to make sure I loved my look. She also did a great job with my bridesmaids and mother-in-law. She worked quickly and did amazing work. When one of my bridesmaids wasn’t 100% sure of her look, Anna quickly fixed it for her to make sure she loved it. I highly recommend Anna. I wish she could blow my hair out ever day!! -

Anna was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! I was extremely apprehensive about my hair as I have had some bad luck with wedding hair as a bridesmaid in the past, but Anna was able to find hairstyles that worked perfectly with my hair type during our trial. I liked two different styles and ended up going with both (which I highly recommend)! Anna stayed on to style down my hair after our ceremony and I still can't decide which style I loved more! Because she was able to touch up me and my bridesmaids, our hair stayed perfect the entire evening.
Not only is Anna talented, but she is also an amazing person and stayed with me and helped calm my nerves throughout the day, especially when there were looming storms before our outdoor ceremony! This review is long overdue and I seriously can't thank Anna enough. I'd give her my highest recommendation to any bride! -

Responsive and the most lovely, calming presence to have in the room with us while we were getting ready. I barely had to describe what I wanted and she completely nailed my vision. All of the bridesmaids loved their hair too. Anna is amazing at what she does and lovely to be around!

I still have people asking for pictures of my hair so they can use it for their wedding! Not only is she is a hair goddess, she is also the sweetest person ever! I had no idea what I wanted for my big day, so all I told her was "I want something elegant, effortless looking, and out of my face". With only that direction, Anna knocked by vision out of the park! I felt like a movie star on my wedding day, and my volume lasted through the (many) hours of dancing at our reception. I'm so impressed by this incredible woman and her talent for unique (and beautiful) hair styles.

Melanie Sent on 05/07/2018Anna could not have done a better job on my hair for my wedding. I knew I wanted some sort of braid in the back, but I didn't do a great job describing what I wanted. Somehow, Anna knew exactly what type of braid I was looking for! My mom, my sister, and my maid of honor also had Anna do their hair. They were SO impressed with how professional she was and how beautiful she made them feel.
What I love about Anna is that she is so calm and down to earth (which I definitely wasn't on my wedding day!) I highly recommend Anna to anyone!

I have very long hair that doesn't curl well but Anna worked wonders! My hair was not only beautiful and stayed in place alll evening, but I felt beyond elegant and graceful with the style. Heather Sent on 08/27/2017Anna is a hair magician! She is so great at what she does - especially updos - and I am so happy I found her. She came and did a trial for both me and my daughter, because my daughter is bi-racial and has very thick and curly hair. She made recommendations about what would work best the day off and planned ahead for possible August humidity. She suggested doing a pre-blow out a few days before for my daughter so we would not have to dedicate hours the day of to blow her hair straight. It was a great idea because the day of she finished my hair and 6 others with plenty of time to spare. Thankfully we didn't have the normal DC August humidity but I danced all night and my hair looked just as good at the end of the night as it did in the beginning. She can do everything from a messy curly bun look to a sleek pinned updo and everything inbetween. Also the blow out she did for my daughter was the best she has ever had and she gets blow outs at least once a month. Anna is as sweet as can be, professional, always on time and schedule and will make sure your hair looks amazing. -

Let me start by saying that I am not the type to leave bad reviews, in fact I have never left a bad review in my life, but I feel all brides should read this before considering working with Anna. I would hate for anyone to experience what I did.
Anna did my hair and makeup for my wedding. The hair turned out great, but it was the makeup that was the issue.
I asked for the same look as my makeup trial, with the exception of a super, super thin, barely-there line of liquid eyeliner on my lash line to define my eyes more. When I saw the final product, I had a thick line of black eye shadow along my eyelid. Paired with full-glam fake eyelashes, that I did not ask for (I actually told her during my trial I didn’t even want fake lashes, but she gave a minimal amount that I was ok with).
When I expressed my dismay, Anna was defensive — she said, “well this is exactly what we did at your trial.” It 100% was not. During my trial, I emphasized how I did not want the traditional full-glam look — I wanted something extremely natural. I’m not sure if she mixed up my trial look with someone else, because in no world did this makeup look anything like my trial.
The worst part, is that Anna ran 45 minutes late. Instead of working in the 12-3 PM timeframe, she wasn’t done until 3:45. My hair went from 12 - 2 PM, when it was supposed to only take 1.5 hours. Not once did she recognize this or apologize for running late. I ended up completely redoing my makeup, and missed out on final getting ready photos with my mom and sisters. I didn’t have a first look with my mom like I wanted to, and was not able to capture those special moments, like your mom zipping up your dress. These are moments I’ll never be able to get back. I'm not sure why she took a half-hour extra on my hair, or why she took longer on my makeup. A real professional would communicate, "hey, it looks like we are running a bit behind. I still have to apply eyelashes, so I might not have time to perfect your fake tan." I would MUCH rather Anna to over-communicate, than nothing at all.
Not to mention, I missed out on the first half hour with my photographer — which was a couple hundred dollars down the drain.
I would hate for any bride to experience the stress I felt, or have their timelines pushed back. No one wants to cry on their wedding day, but this situation and the stress caused me to burst into tears.
Every minute counts on your wedding day, so take the time to find the perfect team of vendors to eliminate any unnecessary stress. You’ll thank yourself later.
