Strossner's Wedding Cake

Strossner's made and delivered our wedding cake to our wedding and reception venue on Furman campus in early November. The cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious. We planned our wedding from Massachusetts so had no way of sampling the cake beforehand so we were very happy with the results. Back in Mass, we had a celebratory party with another cake that did not come close to measuring up. The ordering process was easy and the staff very helpful and professional. Thanks!

I hired Strossner's for our groom's cake and wedding cakes (yes, wedding cakes!) and they did a fabulous job! The cakes were delicious as always and they came out beautiful, just like we had imagined. Susan sat down with us and went through every detail. We highly recommend Strossner's!

The wedding and groom's cake were both amazing and delicious! They worked with our wedding planner so that my flowers matched the fondant flowers on the cake. I highly recommend them!

We had a wonderful experience at the tasting. They offered good guidance on the selections and estimating how much cake was needed. Strossner's was very flexible and easily allowed us to increase the size of our cake a couple of weeks before the wedding as our guest list grew. Our cake was amazing!

Our cake looked and tasted amazing! It was everything we wanted. The flavors we were able to pick were completely different than your normal wedding cake. We picked lemon and strawberry whip and buttercream icing rather than fondant. All the guests loved the cake!

Strossners was amazing at creating our wedding cake last minute. It was a beautiful centerpiece and tasted delicious. They saved our special day and solved our cake disaster. I would definitely recommend them for any event!

BEST wedding cake, ever. I may be biased, but let me tell you, after many tastings (plus attending other weddings), this was THE best cake and let me tell you why. Their cake is moist and flavorful without being overly sweet. You wanted to have another slice, because it was delicious, but you weren't overloaded with sugar. We wanted a cake that would appeal to a larger palate, so we chose a White Chocolate cake base (wasn't a "chocolate" flavor, but slightly unique from a standard vanilla cake), with Strawberry Buttercream filling (again, a very subtle, but unique tasty flavor), and a luscious Cream Cheese frosting. Our wedding was rustic, so we went with a rustic icing (styling) and it was not only delicious, but beautiful. After tasting our cake, I understood why Strossner's was my grandmother's favorite bakery in SC, because it was the best (2nd to her baking, of course). They were so helpful in helping us decide, patient and best of all, their pricing was very reasonable. It's a WIN-WIN all around.

They were very helpful in planning our cake as I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. They were reasonably priced and their delivery fee was exceptional. Our cake tasted amazing! It tasted better than it did at our tasting. We ate it for days after. I also love the fact I can pop in and get some of "my" wedding cake anytime.

Strossners was able to provide a delicious cake for our wedding day. THey also delivered the cake to the reception site which was extremely important for us. They had many different taste options to choose from, which made it hard to choose but we were delighted in sampling different flavors.

Lana and Gloria were great! Very helpful and patient. Lana came up with a beautiful design based on our ideas and the end result was amazingly delicious! The Clemson paw for the groom's cake was accurately done and the price was fantastic.

Strossners has always been one of my favorite local bakeries and they did an amazing job on my wedding cake. Everyone loved it and my request was somewhat odd but they made it look beautiful.

I surprised my groom with a unique cake. I took them a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like and they made it happen. I choose the classic wedding cake flavor with butter cream filling. It was amazing!! Not only was it exactly the way I wanted it to look, it was delicious!

Our wedding cake looked really classy, it wasn't really expensive and Strossner's did a great job decorating it.I highly recommend Strossner's Bakery.It's a really nice bakery to pick up cakes and other pastries.

Strossner's was willing to go out of their way to give us exactly the cake we wanted. They decorated our cake based on a picture we brought in and it looked perfect! They were even able to get us fresh strawberries for the top of the cake. And not only did it look great, it was one of the tastiest cakes I've ever had (white chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream icing and strawberry filling, highly recommended!).

We also ended up getting our flowers from them. The colors we asked for were exactly right and the arrangements were beautiful. We had originally planned to get a separate florist, but we were happy that we decided to have Strossner's do the flowers as well.

They were able to completely replicate the cake I wanted. I have never seen a cake so beautiful, and it was absolutely delicious. Very friendly, easy to work with, delivered and set up on time. Excellent service. We have since used them for small parties and events. Wonderful!!

I got a unique cake from Strossner's for our wedding. Because neither my husband nor I really like the traditional white or chocolate cakes, we wanted something different. Strossner's had plenty of choices! We ended up with their pumpkin cake with pecan praline filling-- which went perfectly with our fall wedding theme! I absolutely loved the way the cake looked, and even more than that it tasted amazing! The price was great too. I had considered Publix, but Strossner's competed very well, and had more choices. Our guests were pleasantly surprised by a pumpkin cake at the wedding, and I got numerous comments on how great the cake looked. I would recommend them to anyone!

They are great to work with but, I was charge the amount for what I thought was a very large bouquet and ended up with something much smaller and worth about 1/4 of what I paid. So make sure you know what your buying first!
I even sent pictures to make sure...a little disappointing but they were pretty.

The cake was worth the price and tasted wonderful. They work with something I created and pictures I sent...
Do use the baked goods think twice about the flowers or have a great plan!

Food for our Groundbreaking was OK. Called that morning because it was going to be a warm day and we wanted to switch out iced tea for the hot chocolate and was told we couldn't make changes on the day of the event.

I went to them thinking they are the most renowned and oldest bakery in town. it was hard to reach them on phone especially because they dont have any after hours and the wedding cake bakers usually weren't available on Saturdays. The tasting was good, not many choices but workable. I brought them my design, which they couldnt fulfill as it is, but after few modifications on cream type and color they promised it will look good. I had some confidence coming out of the store, but my heart was broken when i received the cake. It was terrible. the design was not properly defined, as if someone was in hurry to make it. the color was not prominent/ was faded, so it didnt match bride's dress or decor. I will never recommend them to anyone for a wedding doesnt matter how cheap they cost.

We called and scheduled our cake tasting in the spring and specified that we were doing a cake table and not a traditional wedding cake. We were looking forward to sampling some of the cakes we'd heard about from friends, but when we arrived we were given the standard wedding cake spiel. When I interjected that we weren't doing a tiered cake, but instead we had made an appointment to sample the standard bakery cakes, the woman helping us gave us a bakery menu and told us to stop in a few times a week to see what was on special... We couldn't taste anything that wasn't already cut.

It was a waste of our time, and went on faith with a few cakes our friends recommended. When we were trying to plan delivery, they wanted to charge us an extra $75 for a Sunday delivery. I skipped our wedding group event on Saturday instead to go pick up our 3 cakes and kept them in our fridge overnight. To their credit, the cakes were tasty, but I probably won't use Strossner's again.

My experience with Strossner's was one that leaves me a little irked when looking back. I went in for a consultation on design and they had beautiful options. I decided then to book them and put down a deposit. We scheduled a cake tasting for months later. When cake tasting time came, we arrived and they had no idea we were coming even though they made an appointment. We told them we were here for a tasting and they said "we can't just cut cakes because you want a taste!" They reluctantly gave us a tasting, but did not have any of the flavors we were interested in trying and the experience left a terrible taste in my mouth. We were two months out from the wedding and I was so close to canceling my order and starting over from scratch. The day of was fine and the cake was nice. The taste of the cake was good but not as good as I had hoped. Their pricing is very good but to me, not worth the hassle of working with them.
