Nicole Hensley is the absolute best of the best! She was the sweetest and kindest from our first initial meeting and for the entire two and a half years of the planning process. She always made us feel at ease during the entire planning process and on our actual wedding day. We had a wedding scheduled during COVID, so she worked twice as hard when getting all of our vendors rescheduled for TWO dates. She never skipped a beat and was always honest when it came to making the toughest decisions. It was truly an honor to have worked alongside Nicole and the entire Storybook team. We will be forever grateful for all of the hard work that they did to pull off the best day/night of our lives! If you are looking for the best wedding planner, hire Storybook Wedding and Events! You will be forever grateful being in the best hands of the entire business. -

I hired Storybook as a day of coordinator for my May wedding and was not in the least bit disappointed by my experience. We originally met with Lisa who talked us through the process and what to expect. Once we moved forward with hiring them, we were assigned our coordinator 3 months out from our wedding - who was the wonderful Joni!
Like many couples, my husband and I unfortunately had to deal with postponing as well as a last minute venue change when things weren't working out. Joni was our calm in this COVID storm and the months and days leading up to our wedding were as stress-free as possible for this overthinking bride. Joni was easy to talk to, offered a ton of guidance, and we trusted her completely every step of the way.
The day went SEAMLESSLY due to Joni and her team. It truly went without a hitch from the early morning until the end of the night. Thank you Joni, Mina and Amber. We truly could not have done it without you. -

Storybook and Lisa were incredible, especially considering we had to put our wedding off a year because of Covid. They made sure everything went smoothly, and their knowledge was invaluable when it came to hiring vendors. Lisa even sewed me into my dress when it popped because I danced too hard! 10/10, would recomend to anyone. -

Michela & Nicole are fantastic!
If you’re thinking about hiring someone to help with planning your wedding, you’ve come to the right place. Michela was our Day of Coordinator & 3 months prior to our wedding, we sat down to discuss what was already taken care of, what needed to be done & what we envisioned our wedding to be. At the end of our meeting she said “alright from here until your big day, I’ll be taking over :) any questions you have, ask me, don’t hesitate. That’s what I’m here for :) !”
Sure enough she did and I never doubted her one bit. Michela was a perfect match for us, super organized, very responsive to emails, got things done and we loved her bubbly personality !
Our bridal attendant was Nicole for that morning & felt special to have her there with us. We had a couple bumps in the road (what wedding doesn’t?) on the morning of & she was able to handle it so I didn’t have anything to worry about.
I honestly can’t say enough positive things about these ladies, other than thank you so much for making sure that our best day ever went smoothly. I don’t think it would have without you both there. I’ll always recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!!

Lisa at Storybook Weddings was suggested by a mutual business partner and after our 1st meeting with her she was hired! Storybook has such a cute and inviting office too!
My husband and I had a destination wedding in Los Cabos in March 2019 and communication was our biggest concern. She quickly took charge and got the ball rolling.
What did Lisa do?
-She promptly answered ALL of our questions. Her honesty helped us keep a realistic vision within our wedding budget.
-Kept us on track with deadlines (Budget, Dress, Bridesmaids dresses, Save-The-Dates, Invitations & Response Cards, Gifts, & more!)
-Found multiple vendors for all aspects of our wedding and set up phone calls/meetings. (Photographer, DJ, AV/Lighting, Food Tasting)
-Communicated with the wedding coordinators at our resort for all guest room accommodations, flights, transfers, etc.)
-Negotiated pricing and wedding packages with the resort.
-Made sure all decor pieces were assembled and set out in our desired locations. She really came through with finding last minute items that I requested and made my vision complete.
-Lisa has the ability to remain calm and professional when any situation arises. -

Lisa with Storybook exceeded all of my expectations planning our wedding! I look back over the course of the year it took to plan and NEVER could have done it without her. She is an absolute professional and never missed any detail. She is extremely organized and sent me weekly checklists to keep our planning on track. I never had any doubt, as I knew “Lisa was taking care of it”. She introduced me to our rockstar vendors and truly made my wedding vision come to life.
I would say I was more of a “relaxed” bride with decisions. I had an idea of what I wanted our wedding day to look like and somehow Lisa knew what my vision was from my vague descriptions and literally made it come to life. We shared many emails and vendor meetings together as Lisa was my right-hand (wo)man since my husband wasn’t ever able to make any of the meetings. I trusted her guidance and expertise completely. I genuinely loved her company and loved to have gained a friend out of this kind of experience.
I whole-heartedly recommend Lisa, a thousand times over, to anyone looking for a wedding planner!! She made everything so seamless and was so so worth it as part of our wedding budget. I can’t tell you how many comments I got from people throughout our planning process how relaxed and stress-free I was, and I told them it was all due to our wedding planner. My parents told me so many times, “Thank God for Lisa”. She is absolutely the best of the best and I truly was sad when our wedding day was over as I enjoyed our weekly communication. Lisa is your go-to girl for all things wedding!!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Storybook! Our goal as a couple from the beginning was to choose vendors we really hit it off with. After interviewing several wedding planners, we met Lisa. The initial meeting was when my husband found out he had mutual friends with Lisa and when we decided that it was a perfect match. Lisa is incredible at what she does while juggling many other projects. With that being said, we never felt we were a burden or she was too busy to answer any questions we had. We had SEVERAL moments where we were in over our heads and Lisa was quick to pick up the phone and help us navigate through every detail. She was able to suggest other vendors we were in search of and dining options to fit our every need. She's professional, responsive, kind, understanding and most importantly, GETS IT DONE.
Erin, one of the other planners on the Storybook team was part of our Wedding Day as well and she couldn't have been more a DREAM. She was quite literally at my side for the entire day until I walked down the aisle. Let me also mention we had 6 flower girls that were running around in excitement and Erin handled the chaos with such compassion & grace. She is professional, organized, empathetic & completely ON IT. She provided me with everything I needed and had forgotten in the few remaining hours before the wedding almost instantaneously while easing my mind until the doors opened.
Our wedding would not have been the same without Storybook. I honestly don't know how we would have pulled it off without these women. We had 16 people in our bridal party, 6 flower girls, 3 ring bearers, our ceremony musicians cancelled 3 days before our wedding, I had blisters the size of my toes the morning of the wedding. I could go on and on about my worries.... but it all ended up PERFECT because of Lisa and Erin. Throughout the process, I never had a doubt in my mind that it would be perfect, but I'm here to tell you that these ladies pulled it off to be more than I could have ever hoped for without a hitch. It was an absolute pleasure working with them! -

Nicole was an amazing asset to our wedding planning experience. We met with her originally for a day-of coordination package, but quickly realized how beneficial and cost-effective her partial package would be for planning our wedding. She was always a trusted advisor, even when it came to recommendations for pieces of our wedding that she was not responsible for during the early days in our planning. She was always attentive and very organized when it came to every detail of our planning. Her professionalism when meeting with vendors was a true gift and we felt at ease in every meeting knowing that she had our backs. I would recommend Nicole and the Storybook team a million times over. She made sure our wedding day was nothing short of perfect, operating every detail with every vendor like a well oiled machine. She went above and beyond the day of our wedding when the father of the bride forgot his bow tie and made sure to find him a new one (thank you thank you). We will always look back on our planning experience, confident that Nicole was worth every penny. -

Lisa and Lucy were instrumental in planning our destination wedding in Italy. Besides being so sweet and kind, they are proactive, responsive, professional and extremely thoughtful and creative. When I felt nervous or anxious, they were calm and collected! Coordinating and planning our wedding involved us in Texas, Lisa and our photographer in Chicago, Lucy in Italy and all of our Italy based vendors—complicated! But Lisa and Lucy managed it so well and seamlessly from our perspective. I loved the online program we used to track contracts, budget and tasks, too. Reflecting on our wedding day, and the days leading up to it, I would never have had that amazing experience without Lisa and Lucy managing vendors and guests in the background. We are so happy and grateful that we had the chance to work with them, you will NOT be disappointed if you choose Lisa, Lucy and Storybook Chicago for your wedding planners! -

We can't even begin to thank Nicole and her team at Storybook for making our wedding absolutely amazing. Nicole was a breath of fresh air the first time we met her and we knew immediately she was the one for us. Nicole saw our vision and made it come to life. Nicole is extemely professional and provided only the best vendors for us to work with. Not many couples can honestly say they had zero worries and were stress free the entire process and day of. We can. Nicole made that happen, she is MAGIC and makes shit happen. Everything was PERFECT. Everyone she set us up with went above and beyond the call of duty for us. Everything was beautiful and we received SO many compliments on our wedding and it was all because of Nicole and her team. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner and person. I wish we could rate them a 20!

From our first meeting to the very last, Nicole was EXACTLY what we were looking for during our wedding planning adventure. As a very particular, detail-oriented, type A, perfectionist with a tendency to go overboard, I'm sure I wasn't the 'easiest' bride by any means. That NEVER phased Nicole. She listened to our specific, unique vision for the day, learned about us as individuals, and translated our personalities, our unique story, our vision and our wildest dreams into the most perfect wedding day that exceeded EVERY expectation. Throughout the process, her ability to problem solve (yes, there will be problems no matter how organized and prepared your are!), to use her many connections, her creativity, past experience, attention to detail, meticulous management of our budget, ability to manage my indecisiveness, her ability to give me her honest, expert opinion (and not just agree with everything blindly) and her thorough communication allowed planning to go as seamlessly as possible. It became something I enjoyed, not stressed over, with Nicole as my teammate. Nicole accommodated our hectic work schedules, always responded to emails promptly and executed each step of the planning process quickly and with ease. When I was in a panic or worried about something, she knew exactly how to assure me we'd find a solution, and then promptly exercised her expert problem solving skills. She goes about her work so gracefully, with a smile on her face the whole time, making it so clear how passionate she is about what she does. She genuinely enjoys helping couples plan their "best day ever", which makes her such a dream to work with. We had an above average number of vendors and logistical details, and she managed them all without breaking a sweat. When it came to the wedding day, we were stress-free and had the freedom to simply soak in every moment thanks to her impeccable preparedness. Nicole truly gave us a gift we will cherish forever - the wedding of our dreams.
Aside from her undeniable work ethic, organization (so impressive!), creativity, passion and ability to think outside the box, Nicole is an amazing individual whom we genuinely enjoyed getting to know during our year of planning. We looked forward to each of our meetings with her, and the opportunity to get to know her on a personal level. We miss seeing her regularly, but know she will be a lifelong friend. We're already making plans to catch up for the holidays. :)
When it came to our wedding adventure, selecting Nicole as our planner was hands down the best decision we made....aside from saying "I Do", of course! -

I was hesitant to originally book a wedding planner at the beginning of my planning, and it ended up being one of the best decisions I made during the process. Nicole was great to work with and our wedding day was seamless. It was nice to enjoy the day and not worry about a thing! Nicole went above and beyond for us and even helped to review our contracts when I thought I would have to push back my wedding date due to some unforeseen events. We thankfully were able to keep the date and the day was a huge success thanks to this wedding planner! -

We cannot thank Nicole enough for all she did to make our wedding a HUGE success! From the first day I met with Nicole, I knew she was someone I could trust to plan our wedding. I remember her telling me that hiring Storybook would allow me to actually enjoy being engaged – and she was right! I never had to worry whether I was forgetting to do something or missing a deadline - she was always on top of it! She was extremely organized and responsive to all my emails (and my family’s!). The website she utilizes to keep track of vendors, budget and to-do’s is unbelievably helpful. Whenever I had a concern, she was quick to figure out a solution and eliminate my stress. Nicole is extremely knowledgeable about the wedding industry in Chicago and all of the vendors she recommended were outstanding! Nicole attended most vendor meetings with me and always offered valuable insights. On the day of our wedding, seeing Nicole allowed me to relax knowing that she was handling everything – keeping us on schedule, coordinating vendors and addressing any issues as they came up. There are always going to be unexpected things that come up on your wedding day, and it is comforting to have someone there to handle it. It was important for me that this was not my family, as I wanted them to enjoy the day and not worry either! Hiring Storybook was the first and most important decision we had to make and looking back, it was the best decision we made. The last year would not have gone as smoothly and ended with an amazing wedding day without Nicole. Our investment in Storybook was worth every penny to allow us to focus on what was important – getting married! -

Planning a wedding is way more work than my husband and I realized between all of the decision making, researching vendors, meeting with vendors, contracts... Having Lisa help narrow down our choices by providing us so many great vendors who she’s already worked with was a lifesaver. Nicole Sent on 12/17/2017Nicole and her team were not only very professional but also took our vision for our day, which was an elegant space lit with soft candlelight and over exceeded our expectations to produce an extraordinary experience. She helped us pick the perfect vendors as well as went above and beyond to make our trip to the alter enjoyable and less stressful. From the moment we signed Nicole and her team to the day of our wedding she paid attention to every detail that I would’ve overlooked. The day of the wedding I knew we were in great hands as she took care of everything from the flow of the actual day to staying with the bridal party to help our hair and makeup team get all the girls and family ready in time and move more smoothly so that we weren’t late. I would highly recommend Nicole and Storybook Weddings for any newly engaged couple.

Chicago Destination Summer Outdoor Wedding
My wife and I met with Lisa from Storybook over a brunch and we selected her over other companies because she was thoroughly prepared, presented the rundown in a simple yet professional manner and we connected organically about food and travel.
Throughout our six month process Lisa, completed or attempted at least all of our requests and haggling with vendors for us. She never tried to make us only go with one vendor over another, nor got upset when we did things different in our wedding than what others traditionally do.
Since we weren't local we had to travel a couple times to Chicago, and we had great visits with Lisa and our mothers when selected our florals. Another time she opened up a great restaurant to us and picked us up from our hotel and drove us around in the snow even.
The day of the event service was exceptional, we were on time, we got back from our first look photos with ample time to relax as I requested and there wasn't ANY hiccups at the reception. I would pick Lisa and storybook all over again if we had to do it today! -
