Highly Recommend!
Ashley was our photographer for our proposal, engagement session, and wedding, and we loved working with her for all three. I do not like getting my picture taken, and also feel super awkward during formal photos, and Ashley put us both at ease throughout the process. She made sure we had fun and felt like ourselves. She is so kind, warm and fun, that it was almost like she was a wedding guest who just happened to be taking photos! She worked through the formal shot list really efficiently, which ensured that we had plenty of time to actually participate in the cocktail hour and reception and hang out with people, instead of being off somewhere taking pictures forever. Our two dogs were a part of our proposal and wedding, and Ashley worked so well with them and got the cutest photos. Highly recommend! -

Excellent experience
We booked Story Photographers (Ashley) for our wedding on 9/8/18. Communication with Ashley before the wedding planning out details for the day was easy and prompt. On the day of the wedding, Ashley was on top of everything, making sure we were staying on schedule for all the different photos we needed to get in. Ashley also saved the day on multiple occasions with her magic bag that included anything to fix any little snafu that arose while the girls in the bridal party were getting ready (safety pins, hairspray, etc etc etc). Ashley captured the wedding day perfectly and in such great detail. The pictures turned out absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend Story Photographers for your wedding day! -

My wife and I are so glad that we selected Ashley and the Story Photographers team for our wedding! We knew that Story Photographers had photographed other LGBTQ weddings and it was important to us to have vendors who supported and were genuinely excited about our big day! From day one, Story Photographers was super professional and was very quick to respond to any communication. They were also helpful in suggesting other vendors that they had had great experiences with. The day of the wedding, Ashley and Charity were so both professional and efficient, and made sure we got all of the formal photos that we wanted in a timely fashion! We were even EARLY to the reception which never happens! Ashley and Charity's presence was both calming and fun, and they instantly connected with so many of our family members and friends. Our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without them! -

We used Ashley for our engagement photos and then our wedding and she has become our official photographer. She and her team are absolutely amazing and I love their vision and eye. So easy to work with and they capture the little moments so perfectly. She's now done our pregnancy announcements, my baby shower, our maternity photos and will be doing our newborn photos as well! -

Ashley is amazing. When I graduated college, Ashley took graduations for my friend and I and we loved them. Then, Ashley was the first vendor we booked for our wedding because I knew I wanted to make sure we had her and no one else! She made my bridesmaids and I feel so comfortable during photos and even was able to get my husband, who hates photos, to smile a bit while she was taking pictures of the groom and groomsmen. We love our pictures and plan to recommend Ashley and Story Photographers to any of our friends in the future who are getting married! -

Ashley is amazing to work with! Not only did she graciously reschedule after our work schedules were upended, she hauled her equipment all over downtown Hillsborough without complaint to make sure we took photos in all of "our spots." I'm so looking forward to seeing the shots she takes at our November wedding. :) -

I have been at two weddings where Ashley was the photographer and knew she was exactly the person I wanted for my own. From beginning to end she made the whole process seamless - responsive to emails, wanting input on our families and photo list, and throughout the day I never once had to think or worry about her and the photographs. She made our family and bridal party photos go by super fast, she knew how to bustle my dress, she took charge when she needed to, and our finished pictures are incredible - she captured the night perfectly and just as we wanted. -

I cannot thank Ashley and her co-photographer Britt for the beautiful job they did on my wedding! Ashley met with us ahead of time to talk over everything to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted and what she needed from us to make that happen as smoothly as possible. On the day of, both photographers were as in love with our wedding venue as I was and found all the best spots for our first look. They made sure to capture all the most precious moments of our day and worked around any number of complications caused by unexpected health problems and last minute changes. I cannot give them enough praise - they are kind, gentle, thoughtful, fun and professional. We definitely plan to use them again, for new family shoot, for babies, for anything! They are truly wonderful to work with!!!! -

It was such a great experience working with Ashley and David from Story Photographers! My husband and I used Story Photographers for our engagement photos, bridal portrait, and wedding day. Ashley made us feel so comfortable doing the engagement photo shoot. My husband hates having his picture taken, but Ashley made it fun and easy for us! The weather was horrible for my bridal portrait and we had to postpone it a day. Ashley was so flexible and understanding when we were debating which day to do it and decided to go ahead with it on an overcast day. She listened to my ideas and helped me keep my dress clean despite mud and threatening rain. On our wedding day Ashley and David took beautiful pictures and were such a great team. It's like they could read each other's minds about what angles they wanted and where they wanted us to be. They also helped keep us on schedule throughout the day. They really blended in and were not intrusive like I've seen some photographers do at weddings. Ashley was always prompt about responding to any questions I had and turned around the pictures within a short period of time. All of the photographs have been high quality and authentic capturing the best moments! I highly recommend Story Photographers! -

Story Photographers were our amazing wedding (and engagement) photographers. We mainly worked with Ashley and she is so easy to work with. Ashley responds quickly to questions and provides a long day of documenting your story. Throughout the day of the wedding, Ashley would give us little helpful hints throughout the day, which was SO very helpful. Our wedding was outside and due to rain we were not able to get many photos of my groom and I afterwards; however, Ashley offered to schedule another time to go back and take photos. Our photos were spectacular and we honestly have a hard time even picking which photos are our favorite due to have so many good photos. Thanks Story Photographers! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about these photographers. I had seen their wedding photos in the past as being a guest to other weddings they shot and I loved them. I knew they would be my first choice when it came to my wedding. Story Photographers far exceeded my expectations. They not only worked with me to stay on my budget, but they really took the extra time and steps to make this an easy and comfortable experience. They work in pairs, which is wonderful, so we were able to get guys and girls "getting ready" photos as well as several different angles/views of everything throughout the night. They are so professional, so patient, so sweet, and kept up with us the whole night! Last, but not least, the end results of their photos were just stunning.... -

I AM OBSESSED WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THIS GROUP!!! I've worked with Ashley, April, and Rebecca. Each one of them was INCREDIBLE! Our engagement shoot was carefree and fun…Ashley made us both feel so at ease. The wedding day, April and Rebecca brought it! I have only seen a few preview shots from the wedding, but they made me feel beautiful and took very natural photos. They are not divas and they listen to what you want to be captured from your wedding day. The way that they package up your final product makes me fall even more in love with this group. They are just all around all stars! -

Ashley and David are absolutely amazing! They made the while process enjoyable while being efficient and unobtrusive. My husband even commented that the pictures were so much easier than any others he has had to take.
They handled my enormous family with ease while keeping us on schedule without it all feeling rushed. I am positive that I am going to adore my pictures and I can't wait to see them.

Ashley and David were absolutely fabulous to work with. Though we booked them over a year before our wedding, I really felt like they were a part of our entire process. We chose to have them shoot our engagement session, my bridal portraits, and our wedding day... which in my opinion, was the best decision we made in terms of planning. By the end, I felt extremely comfortable around the camera, and I think a lot of it had to do with Ashley's bubbly personality and words of encouragement through the three sessions we worked together.
Unfortunately, we had to reschedule our engagement shoot due to bad weather, but Ashley was extremely flexible in terms of rescheduling. Once we finally were able to schedule it, Ashley was great at giving directions to ensure our photos turned out great.
Both Ashley and David were extremely chill on our wedding day - with that being said, they also knew how to handle the crowd. They were both professional and fun to be around at the same time... how awesome is that?! And to top it all off, ALL our pictures turned out beautifully. We loved that we were able to get a "sneak peek" with their blog postings, and our edited photos arrived just a few weeks after our engagement shoot and wedding day, respectively. We are truly looking forward to working with Ashley and David again! I am so thankful that we allowed them to tell our story, and I know you will be too. -

Ashley and David were a dream to work with. We are so thankful that they were able to help us celebrate our special day. I readily admit to stalking their blog since, oh, SP was born, and once engaged, I was so thrilled to FINALLY be able to use them. SP shot our engagement photos, my boudoir session and our wedding - and I know we'll book them again for whatever life events happen in the future. Friendly, professional and flexible! My only regret is the unexpected rain that poured down when I was supposed to be getting my pre-wedding shots! I had so many PLANS! :-) So thrilled they made the trek to SC to help us party! -

Ashley and David are such amazing people, and if it's possible even better photographers! I absolutely LOVED working with them both. I have yet to see all of my photos but the sneek-peak I got was enough to make me want moreeee! They both were so comfortable to be around and made being photographed so "easy" and "natural" (because even if we don't admit it, it is not very natural to have someone point a camera at you all day long and capture the moments you want to cherish for a lifetime). I would recommende these two to anyone, you will NOT be disapointed. Love love love them!

Ashley and her husband David photographed both our engagement session and our wedding day and they did a fantastic job. Ashley was very prompt in answering emails which is very important when planning out all of the details of your day. They made us feel comfortable being in front of the camera. Ashley gave us such good tips while we were all getting ready and David was able to get the guys to relax and have a great time. Ashley ended up helping me with little things during the actual wedding day and was such a big help! We are so excited that we found Story Photographers and will continue to use them for many years! -

Ashley and her husband David are simply awesome! They were the only photographers that we met with, because after meeting with them we knew we didn't even want to consider anyone else. It felt like we were instant friends! Our wedding pictures were gorgeous, and with two photographers it was easy to get pictures of everyone getting ready before the wedding. Two photographers also allowed for different views during the ceremony without the photographers being really conspicuous. My husband and I laughed when we saw guests pictures from the wedding where Ashley or David were right near us (like when we were cutting the cake), but at the time we didn't even know they were there! I know that sounds like a strange compliment, but it was so nice to have them capture all of the special moments of our wedding without us feeling like we were tripping over photographers all day!
There was a good combination of unique and traditional photography in our photos. Best of all- six weeks later we received a disc of all of our pictures that is ours to keep! Story Photographers does not keep the copyrights to their images so you can print them yourself as much as you like! They do also have a website that allows you or your guests to log in and order prints and albums from them, but we have not yet ordered any prints, so I can't comment on them. I really cannot recommend Story Photographers enough, and I can't wait to have them capture our family as it grows! -

Wonderful!
We first met Story Photographers while I was a bridesmaid at a friends wedding and was so impressed that we hired them for our wedding as well.
Ashley and David were great to work with. Any questions I had were quickly answered, Ashley sent the contract in the mail - it is very easy to read and tells you exactly what to expect. All of our pictures look fantastic. I loved having 2 photographers, and having all our images on a DVD.
I highly enjoyed working with them, they are very professional, non obtrusive, friendly and easygoing.
I highly recommend Story Photographers. -

Ashley & David of Story Photographers are absolutely amazing. I have had the pleasure of working with Story Photographers for a family shoot, my engagement shoot, my bridal portraits and so definitely there was no other option for my wedding day!! Story Photographers not only take amazing photos, but they are fun, energetic, creative and responsive! I worked with Ashley to plan out my wedding day itinerary and she gave some very valuable feedback that was not only important to the overall day, but for fitting in plenty of flexibility into the day for photos given family dynamics, etc. I have worked with Ashley to purchase canvas and paper prints after my sessions with her and her vendors, in turn, are also incredible. She was able to show me in advance what my photos would look like in the particular sizes/types I wanted.
I highly recommend Story Photographers for ANY photo sessions -- they travel to you, or you can go to them -- they do incredible work no matter the circumstance! AND, you get to have rights to your pictures without watermarks without paying an arm & leg extra! Check them out -- you will not be disappointed! -

For my boudoir session, I wanted to work with a local photographer who specializes in boudoir and Ashley Stephenson with Story Photographers came highly recommended. My sister and I scheduled a session together and this helped take off the pressure. Ashley made me feel very comfortable and I was thrilled with the result. If you’re thinking about taking the leap to do a boudoir session, go for it! It was an awesome experience. -

My wedding was on October 16th of this year, and I am 100% glad I went with Ashley and David of Story Photographers. They are the most creative, talented people and are there for you every step of the way. There is NO limit to how many questions you can ask, how much you can call, how much planning you can do, they are THERE. Our pictures are SO WONDERFUL and they have a really magical, whimsical, vintage-y touch. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. So many guests at our wedding have commented about the amaaaziiingg pictures or how awesome Ashley and David are. They're so fun and they're just obvious naturals at what they do. They care about getting to know you on a personal level and they care about documenting your day. Nothing gets left out. They captured people's personalities to an absolute T without ever having met them, and they really have a sense of humor. Ashley, David, April, and Beth did a wonderful job with our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures! I would like to thank the whole "team!" Ashley Stephenson did our engagement pictures and made us feel comfortable, silly, and intimate all at the same time! She truly takes her work seriously and aims to please her customers. April Sirit, who also shoots for Story Photographers, shot our wedding with her friend Beth. These ladies were fun, full of ideas, professional, and determined through the intense heat, fire ants, and all the wedding chaos. April really focused on the process and was organized through it all, capturing all the important details. She made everybody feel welcome, important, and comfortable with her photography skills and her bubbly personality. We are eagerly awaiting our wedding photo CD in the mail, but I have seen the preview and I am loving what I have seen! I would recommend Story Photographers to ALL brides! Excellent service for the price, they are flexible, professional, and most importantly, they make you feel calm, comfortable, and happy during your most intimate as well as public events. -

Ashley and David were fantastic to work with. From the moment I met with them, I knew they were our wedding photographers. Ashley was very prompt in her responses and always added a personal touch to her emails. Additionally, Ashley and David provided plenty of feedback on timelines, photo options, etc. - which was very helpful to me. I would recommend Story Photographers to any bride looking for a set of great photographers that will go above and beyond expectations to meet the couples' needs. -

Flexible, Quality, and kind team!
The Story Photography (Ashley & Becca) team was incredible from start to finish, being a LGBT couple, it was important for us to have welcoming vendors and the team at Story couldn't have been more welcoming. Ashley and Becca worked with us on a package that fit our needs and delivered great photos of all wedding details and some fun guest shots! The day of the wedding, we had nothing to worry about and were able to enjoy ourselves as well as our guests! -

Ashley and David were so wonderful to work with on the big day. They were fun, professional, and extremely kind throughout the entire process. Ashley especially had her especially had her eye on me all night, helping to make sure that I was happy and relaxed. They were great about sticking to the timeline and photo requests that I made. Ashley even ventured out into the rain with her expensive equipment to capture a photo moment that I always dreamed of. Their packages are very budget friendly, especially considering all the hard work they put into the day. I would recommend them to anyone! -

Ashley is AMAZING. Hands down she was the best vendor choice we made for our wedding. From the instant we met Ashley, she made us feel calm, confident, and beautiful. She is a pro, definitely, but she's also so warm and kind that it's hard not to just want to be her BFF forever. As a same-sex couple, we definitely had a non-traditional situation, and Ashley was supportive and made both my wife and I feel like rockstars in our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. Her second shooter, Rebecca, was also amazing! Ashley handled some tricky family dynamics, including one huge family and some last-minute additions to the guest list. She also sent us a "photo list" a few weeks before the wedding to make sure she got all of the posed photos we wanted, but when we wanted to add more on wedding day, she accommodated every photo we asked for. Our pictures we've seen so far are beautiful, and I would definitely recommend Ashley to every bride who wants to be supported and loved on throughout her entire wedding day! She may not be the cheapest option, but it is so worth it for us to have beautiful photos that we will treasure forever. -
