I had a small wedding party, and STG Beauty was the perfect choice - they offer a wide range of services and were really flexible about number of people and the timing. The prices were also really good, and I definitely thought the value for money was amazing. Amy is super communicative and responsive, answering all of my questions and providing lots of helpful information in advance - she and her team were also really flexible with timings. I had a trial for hair and makeup in advance of my wedding, and Amy and my makeup artist Jossy immediately made me feel comfortable, gave great advice, and were very receptive to feedback and tweaking the final look. On the day of, they were prompt, made my mom and sister feel so comfortable, and we all loved how everything turned out. I wanted a fairly natural makeup and hair look, and they did it perfectly despite my initial ideas being very vague! I couldn’t recommend more, the whole experience from booking to the day-of was incredibly easy, and Amy and her team are the loveliest people!

Fantastic wedding hair & make-up experience

I had a fantastic experience with Amy and Lorena on my wedding day. This was the first time I had my hair and makeup professionally done, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. I was a bit nervous because I have curly hair and wanted a natural look, but Amy nailed it during the trial. She was patient, attentive, and incredibly skilled. Not only did my hair look stunning, but it held up throughout the entire day and night. I was really happy with the makeup too. Lorena created a flawless, natural look that enhanced my features without making me feel overly made-up. After the trial, I wanted to make a couple of tweaks, and she listened to my preferences, ensuring I felt comfortable with the final look. Both of them were punctual, friendly, and maintained a calm and relaxed atmosphere during what could have been a potentially stressful time. Their expertise and professionalism allowed me to feel confident and beautiful on my wedding day. Highly recommended!

Amy is an incredible hair stylist and CEO! She did my hair and my wife's for our wedding day earlier this month - she was so professional, fun, and skilled. She gave us advice on what she thought would look best, but she really listened to our vision of what we wanted. Jocelyn came along with her and did our make-up for the day, which we couldn't have been happier with. Neither of us wear much make-up so we opted for airbrush, and this was definitely the right decision. Jocelyn was so awesome, and she really made us feel beautiful. Both of them arrived promptly at our residence and made us feel so relaxed and pampered before our big day. Everything was finished within 2.5 hours, as they recommended. Thank you Amy and Jocelyn!

I had a wonderful experience with Stylist To Go for my April wedding. Amy was super responsive and helpful in answering all of my questions every step of the way. I loved loved loved Carolina (my hairstylist) for her sweet disposition and excellent hands--she spent extra time during my trial helping me figure out exactly what I wanted on the big day. She also did the hair for my two flower girls, and she was so awesome with the little ones. The makeup artists who did my makeup and that of my bridal party were also so wonderful and made everyone feel beautiful. And all the services were in my budget! I would definitely use Stylist To Go again!

Stylists to go did a great job with my hair and make up as well as that of my bridesmaids and mom. Carmen was our hairstylist and was able to work with a variety of hair types and lengths. Everyones hair looked amazing! Our make up also looked great. Most of us do not normally wear make up and the make up that we got looked great, but natural. This is what we were hoping for. It was convenient that I was able to have the trial at my home. Amy worked with me to change the time of my wedding day services several time. This was very helpful and alleviated some of the wedding planning stress.

I'm so very happy with Amy and Stylist to Go! She went above and beyond to make me happy on my wedding day and I can't recommend her enough. She did a hair trial for me so I was able to decide what style I wanted. The initial style I thought I wanted wasn't what I ended up choosing, so I'm glad I had the 3-look trial to decide.
She arrived on-time and had everything with her that she needed. She did my bridesmaid's hair as well as 2 flower girls (age 2 and 4). The little girls were squirmy and not happy to have their hair done but Amy was so gentle and kind, and their hair looked amazing!

I'm so happy I found this group! I had them do my hair and makeup, my mom's hair and makeup, and hair and/or makeup for 9 maids. Amy was great with timely communication! I did a hair and makeup trial 3 days before my big day and was able to get 3 different hair and makeup looks and they made sure to take pictures of them all so I could look them over and decide what I wanted for my wedding. They got everyone done in 4 hours with 3 hair stylists and 2 makeup artists and everyone looked AMAZING!!! All my maids were completely satisfied with their looks as was I. Additionally, everyone's hair and makeup held up throughout the entire night and we were dancing pretty hard so kudos to these ladies who know their craft and at a great price! I would highly recommend hiring this group for any hair/makeup needs!

My wife and I are so happy we booked Stylist To Go! I have to say that Amy's quick responses are probably one of the best I have seen in working with a professional. She literally works 24/7 and those responses took so much pressure off of me. I also really appreciated the clear cut guidelines in what the services would be. And the fact that unlike most companies who ask for a minimum when booking services, Amy didn't require a large party to work with my wife and I. Her pay system and website is really user friendly. She didn't mind clarifying when I was confused, and accommodated when my mother wanted services at the last minute. Her staff was just as amazing! My makeup artist did get changed several times, but I do understand that comes with contracting out. Amy reassured me when I didn't particularly like my foundation used during my makeup trial, that she would pass along my notes to the new stylist working on the wedding day and that they will work with me until I am completely satisfied. I like working with a company who isn't afraid to have their customers speak up when they aren't happy with something. And of course Amy was right, because Nicole did an amazing job on my mother and I's makeup! It was professional grade yet natural looking, and she executed my look to a Tee!. And Carolina, who did my hair, was my favorite! She was early for both the trial and day of, professional, sweet, and extremely talented.
My wife had the same sentiments for her team, and was absolutely gorgeous walking down that aisle. You won't regret hiring Amy and her team!

I had make-up done for myself, three bridesmaids, and my mother, and everyone looked amazing. I had said I wanted each woman to pick her own style, that I didn't want everyone to look the same. I was amazed at how everyone really looked like themselves - just enhanced. I went with a vintage look - winged eyeliner and red lips, while my MOH likes a very soft bronze eye and natural lips. Another bridesmaid got a natural Blake Lively-esque look, and the last got a very dark dramatic eye with nude lips. Everyone's looks were so different and yet still tied together nicely. Not to mention, it was raining and no one's make up budged! (Well, mine smudged a little when my husband tried to wipe a tear from my eye after the ceremony, but that's certainly not the artist's fault!) I got a touch up baggie with extra lip color, but even through rain, pictures, drinking, and eating, I never needed to use it. My lip color looked perfect 12 hours later.

Stylist to Go is also incredibly affordable, and if you're in Alexandria you don't pay extra for them to come to you, because that's their whole thing. I loved the convenience of having them come to our hotel room! Overall, just a great experience.

I just used Stylist To Go for my wedding last weekend. They truly made my wedding dreams come true! My hair and makeup was EXACTLY what I wanted, and this was even after deciding on a new hair style last minute. My hair stylist was so in tune with what I was going for, and she made it look beautiful and effortless. My makeup artist was doing my makeup for the first time, and was really tuned in to me wanting a natural and simple look. My husband keeps commenting on how beautiful I looked and it didn't look like I had much makeup on at all (even though I had way more on than I normally wear). Everything from my first communication with Amy to the trials to the final day, was easy, organized, and affordable! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who would like their stylists to come to them for their wedding day (which is so much more fun, anyways!) I did it only for myself, my mom and my sister. But I know they could definitely handle a bigger group with great ease. The only thing to prepare for is making sure there is parking for them for the trial and the big day. Not difficult, just plan ahead. Thank you Amy and the stylists who made my dreams come true! :)

This company was AMAZING! They made getting ready so easy and organized. I had 6 bridesmaids play myself and my mom for hair and makeup. Nothing was a problem, everyone looked amazing and they finished on time. They were awesome and I highly recommend them!

Stylist to go handled hair and makeup for myself (the bride), 3 bridesmaids and mother of the bride. I also did the bridal hair trial with Amy and it is definitely worth it to do the trials so you can try out what style looks best. Amy is absolutely amazing at what she does, and what I appreciated most was that she gives honest advice and great suggestions. I absolutely loved how my hair and makeup turned out for the wedding - she and her team did a great job (and it lasted all night too!). They came directly to our wedding location, right on time, and were very organized not only the day of, but during the entire process leading up to the wedding. Would highly recommend!

Amy (the owner) at Stylist to Go was always on top of everything, very responsive and very professional. Since I was the only one getting my hair done (my bridesmaids opted to do their own hair and makeup to save having to pay for it themselves), it was hard for me to find a vendor with no minimums. I was fortunate enough to find Stylist to Go who had no minimums, and Carmen, who did my hair trial and my wedding hair, was perfect. Carmen listened to my vision and worked off of my Pinterest board seamlessly. She combined looks together to give me the look that I loved. She pinned my veil to my hair and stayed a little longer after I had gotten into my gown to make sure my veil would stay in place. I was very happy with her services and her attention to detail and my vision. She was friendly and patient, and I could not have asked for anyone better. Would definitely recommend them.

I didn't have bridal party and most vendors require minimum services or people. Luckily Stylist to Go did not have that requirement. I worked with Amy for hair. We did one hair style at the trial which I thought was what I wanted but ended up not being for me. I notified Amy right away and sent her various pictures of option 2 and I loved how it came out on wedding day! She was extremely flexible with my changes and super sweet to work with!

Amy and her team come right to you house or venue with hair and makeup services. She is bilingual, which was our requirement for my future in-laws.

I only showed her a few up-do styles and showed the makeup artist one style and they created a PERFECT trial. When you make your trial appointment, Stylist to Go ensures the stylists they send are available for your wedding day - so no surprises and you already have a working relationship with the stylists.

We are excited to work with them in May!

Styliststogo did an excellent job with my hair! It was perfect! Amy did exactly what I wanted. I recommend having a hair and make up trial so you can see how your hair and make up will look a few different ways. Then you can pick the best style and look. You also get a goody bag. My bridesmaids and MIL looked fabulous as well.

Stylist to go did a great job on the hair styling for some of my bridesmaids on our wedding day and did it at such a great price. Our stylist was very friendly and willing to accommodate the looks that the girls wanted and made sure they were happy with the end product. Amy and her team were simply amazing! I had a very small bridal party (just me and one bridesmaid) and was having a hard time finding someone who would come to us for a reasonable price. Other places I contacted flatly turned me away because I didn't have a big enough party. Not Amy. She ensured me from start to finish everything would be fine. I was unable to go through a trial hair and makeup because I live in another state but I was able to show her photos of what I liked. She made it happen! My hair was PERFECT. It stayed in place the entire day and I didn't need extensions. She made my hair look the best it ever has. I believe Katherine worked on my make up, and she did so while Amy worked on my hair. And it was flawless! Even with my crying at so many points, she continued to work right through it. She touched me up afterward and ensured me it would be fine if I cried again. She was right! I cried at the ceremony and after the first dance and you could not tell a thing! My makeup was FLAWLESS the entire day. Couldn't be more happier with this team of ladies!

Stylist to Go provided hair and makeup services on my wedding day for me, the mother of the bride and mother of the groom, the grandmothers, and my bridesmaids. They showed up at our hotel room at the Hotel Monaco in Alexandria on time, enthusiastic, and with all of the supplies they needed. There were three stylists and they were all professional and very talented.

The communication with Amy prior to my wedding date was fantastic - she answered emails promptly and was flexible about understanding my needs and giving me options. The services she provided on site were equal or less in price to other vendors I'd checked out - and she really did a great job. My makeup stayed on all night and my hair stayed in place.

I would recommend Stylist to Go to any of my friends without hesitation. The fact that they came to the hotel really took a lot of pressure off the wedding morning, and they were accommodating, professional, and proficient throughout the entire experience.

Amy and her team were great to work with for all my beauty needs leading up to and the day of my wedding! Stylist to Go is a fantastic option for brides who don't want to worry about the hassle of traveling to a salon on the day of their wedding. The whole process, from my hair/makeup trial to scheduling time slots for my mom and bridesmaids, was completely seamless. Amy was quick to respond to emails, was on time for everything, and made me feel like I had one less thing to worry about during the wedding planning process.

On top of that she did an amazing job styling my hair and her makeup artist did a wonderful job applying makeup to my bridesmaids in a way that complimented each of their looks.

I would definitely recommend her services to anyone else planning a wedding or other formal event!

Amy is the contact person for Stylist to Go. When I initially contacted Amy through email regarding hair and make-up services for my 4 bridesmaids and myself, she responded quickly and thoroughly. I found her pricing reasonable and lower than several other hair and make-up vendors in the area. Amy asked me questions about the length and type of hair for each lady. Amy suggested LaToya as the make-up person and we scheduled a hair and make-up trial a couple of weeks before the wedding. Amy and LaToya came to my sister-in-law’s house with all of their supplies. They were prompt and friendly. Amy listened to my wish for an updo hairstyle and added her our style to it. She incorporated the hair accessories I provided. LaToya asked me questions about my skin and about the looked I wanted for the wedding. She designed a make-up blueprint that she could recreate for my wedding. I asked LaToya to incorporate my main color, purple, into the make-up and she did a lovely job brushing on purple eyeshadow on my eyelids. Both Amy and LaToya told me to let them know if I wanted to make any changes for hair and make-up for the wedding.
The day of the wedding, LaToya and Amy recreated my hair and make-up styles perfectly. Amy listed to my request of adding my volume to my updo. I received many, many compliments about my hair. It stayed in place the entire evening after quite a bit of dancing. My make-up didn’t smear or run even after I cried. I was extremely happy with the end result.
My bridesmaids chose their own hairstyles. Each bridesmaid asked Amy for her opinion and Amy gave honest suggestions. Two bridesmaids already had ideas about the styles they wanted and Amy created the looks. All of the bridesmaids’ hair stayed in place and looked just as good at the end of the night. LaToya played up each bridesmaid’s best qualities. She incorporate purple into two of the bridesmaid’s eyeshadows and the other two had natural looks. The ladies were a pleasure to work with. They were extremely quick to respond via email which is nice because I'm very busy. They came to my house 10 minutes before schedule and worked quickly and professionally. I was impressed that they were able to do my hair and makeup at the same time without disturbing each other. Amy and Catherine did a phenomenal job on hair and makeup for our wedding party! Not only were Amy's rates reasonable, she was always courteous, professional, and quick to respond to e-mails and phone calls. I'd never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day. I had a hard time articulating exactly what I wanted with regards to my hair, but Amy knew how to work with my pin-straight Asian hair and make it look like what I was hoping for on the big day. They arrived at 9:30 am planning to only do my hair and makeup, my mom's hair, and one of my bridesmaid's hair. They were flexible enough to accommodate adding services (makeup for my mom, hair for another bridesmaid) AND still had us ready by 12:30 pm to meet our limo driver at 1 pm. My hair and makeup lasted the whole day/night... it even held up at the afterparty! I wish I had more special events to go to that required hiring Amy and Catherine... definitely keep Stylist to Go on your list of vendors to check out for your hair/makeup needs.

I looked long and hard for a hair/makeup vendor. I'm so glad that I found Amy Rojas! She came to my house for the hair trial and also on the day of the wedding. She did hair for my mom, my husbands mom, my three bridesmaids and me. She was professional, and did a great job on everyone's hair. Amy and her team were excellent! Amy and her assistant, Leigh, arrived around 9AM on the morning of our wedding and did nine women’s hair. The makeup artist, Latoya, was also fantastic, and did four women’s makeup. We were all ready to go by 1PM and everyone looked gorgeous! Amy and her team were all very professional and stayed cheerful the whole morning. It got a little frantic with everyone trying to get ready together, but Amy’s team was really great. They are all very friendly and made the morning really fun. Also, the quality of their work is awesome. My hair and makeup stayed perfect the entire day.
I found that working with Stylist to Go before the wedding was very easy. Amy answered emails promptly and was very communicative, which was great as a bride trying to manage so many vendors. I also really loved my hair and makeup trials. Amy tries out three hairstyles for her brides, which I really liked because I actually got to see the various styles.
One really nice thing about Stylist to Go is that they come to you. This was great, as we were able to stay in the hotel, rather than go to a salon. We had lunch in the hotel room and it was much more relaxed since we did not have to worry about getting to and from the salon. One last thing I liked about Stylist to Go is that Amy made payment very easy. She has an attachment for her iPad, so you just pay with your credit card right there and you get a receipt emailed to you.
All in all, my experience with Stylist to Go was very positive, and I highly recommend Amy and her team for a wedding. Their prices are also lower than most salons, which is always a bonus when weddings in the DC area are so expensive!

It took me a lot of looking to find someone that could work with a smaller bridal party. I found Stylist to Go and am so glad I did! They were able to provide exactly what I needed, and on relatively short notice. Our hairstylist, Amy, and our makeup artist, Nyisha, were awesome. Amy did hair for four ladies, and Nyisha did makeup for two ladies. They arrived at our hotel at 8 am and had everyone looking amazing before noon. They came up with a schedule that had each lady ready when they needed to be - we had a complicated schedule that morning, but they made it happen. Also, the online booking and payment system made everything a breeze. I'm so glad I found Stylist To Go!

Amy was my primary point of contact and she is extremely professional and expeditious in her response times. The pricing was very fair. Catherine (makeup) and Carmen (hair) were assigned to my event. They were a little late (less than fifteen minutes), but they worked quickly and it did not affect anything in terms of starting on time. I did not do the trial hair and makeup and so brought color photos of the looks that I wanted. I am not someone who likes to look overdone as I tend to end up looking like I'm in drag and I wanted to look like "me". Catherine did a great job on my makeup, natural and pretty. With a summer wedding, I opted for the airbrush and am glad that I did. My updo was pretty and was a very good modification of the style that I selected as the model was Caucasian and her hair was longer. I was pleased with end result as I had concerns as I am a woman of color and not everyone knows how to work with darker skin and AA hair. Catherine and Carmen did a great job and I was very pleased with my results and would definitely recommend them. Thank you for helping to make my wedding day special...

I had little input into how my hair or makeup would look, I only knew I wanted a low updo and simple makeup. Both ladies who showed up were polite, on time, and listened to my few ideas. My hair and makeup were both perfect.

I hired Stylist to Go for hair and makeup services for myself and my bridesmaids. Communication throughout was prompt and professional. I appreciated that Stylist to Go offered a "VIP" package option, which meant that I could book them for services even without meeting their minimum service requirements (something that most of the traveling stylists have), with the understanding that I paid in full upfront and was not guaranteed the same artists for my trial and wedding day, which was fine with me.

On the wedding day, our artists were friendly, skilled and accommodating, and made the getting-ready process very relaxing. They arrived slightly behind schedule (ten minutes or so, due to traffic), but called in advance to let me know and were still able to work efficiently enough to finish by the targeted end time. Myself and my bridesmaids were all pleased with our looks, and I received many compliments on my hair at the wedding -- which held up great throughout the night with the exception of one twist that fell out after many hours of activity (but was easy enough to pin back up on my own). The only slight hiccup with the VIP option is that my makeup artist on the wedding day had not received a picture of my makeup from the trial -- fortunately, I had taken some pictures from the trial on my phone that I could show her, so it was not a problem for me. Overall, Stylist to Go was easy to work with and the staff members are very skilled at their jobs!

Great results

The stylists with STG Beauty will make you and your bridesmaids wedding ready at the location that works best for you and they will do an amazing job. My husband and I were renewing our vows for our 5 year anniversary and I found STG through the Knot. I was so happy to find a company that allowed me to get ready at the location I wanted and at an early time since the ceremony was taking place at 11AM. Jossy and Enigma were wonderful to work with.

Stylist to Go was exactly the service I needed. Amy did an amazing job on my vintage bridal style which we topped with a dried flower crown. All three stylists arrived on time and did great work. The pricing is fair and Amy has done a lot to add value in many places (like upping your practice hair looks to three instead of one for only $25 more), but there are a few nitpicky charges that she has opted to use which would feel less jarring if simply rolled into the cost, since there is no way to get out of them.

Also, as soon as you add a 5th person, it will cost 100 more plus their services because you will need a third artist.

I really liked Amy and enjoyed working with her. I only wish I had decided to aim to have everyone done sooner since my one bridesmaid apparently has really thick hair and none of us realized how long it would take to get her done and the extra time took away from pictures.

Stylist to Go did hair and makeup for me (bride) and entire bridal party. They were great to work with at my trial (responsive to feedback, helped me look like a glam version of me!). On the wedding day they were able to get me a replacement makeup artist when one of them had a family emergency- getting the guarantee for services is really peace of mind.

I’m so happy I went with Stylist To Go for my wedding day. Amy did my hair and Cat did my make-up. Amy is the primary contact person and she is super responsive, always getting back to me that day. She was incredibly flexible, even when I had to re-schedule my trial 3 times AND she was 7 months pregnant. I would definitely not have been as nice as she was, had the roles been reversed. Amy did my hair just like I wanted it during the trial. Cat did my make-up a lot darker than I was hoping, but she listened to all my feedback and my make-up was EXACTLY what I wanted it to be on the big day. They are sweet and fun to chat with while you get ready. I adored working with both of them and highly recommend Stylist To Go!

Amy was amazingly flexible, one of my bridesmaids decided she wanted an updo the day of, and Amy happily did her hair as well. Everyone looked fantastic, and Amy was perfectly on time, did a great job communicating her arrival time beforehand, and finished early, even with the extra updo. I would definitely recommend using her for anyone planning a wedding, it was so pleasant handing out in the hotel room getting ready together instead of having to go to a salon. It let us relax, iron any last minute wrinkles out of shirts/dresses for the evening, and was a great way for family members to come through and say hi before the wedding.

We love Amy's service. We use her for haircuts and balyage. The service and results are always top notch. Sometimes our appointments have to get rescheduled, but I accept that as part of the deal when someone is coming to your home for servces

I hired Stylist to Go for my recent wedding and was very pleased with the results. The ladies were highly professional and did everything to ensure that we all left for wedding feeling confident and beautiful. I had a trial done shortly before, which went very well. I had a minor change in my hair when the day came but that was no issue for Anna, my hairstylist. She wasn’t going to let me leave her sight unless I was 100% happy with my look—and I was! We had all different hair types in my bridal party—short curly hair, ethnic hair, long and full hair, fine hair—everything looked so great. The makeup portion went very quickly but it was not lacking in quality at all. Everyone looked like the best versions of themselves—exactly what we all hope for! Stylist2Go did their best to make convenience a priority. I communicated my room number and they worked with the hotel staff to make it to us without having to lift a finger. All of the fees are very clear and there were no hidden costs or expenses. I found the prices to be reasonable when compared with other options in the area. I would definitely hire the team again for an event and recommend them to another bride on her wedding day!

I had a 3-look hair/make up trial at my home prior to the wedding. And on the wedding day I had the stylists travel to our hotel in Old Town Alexandria. They did my hair/make up along with two bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother in law. They arrived a little late due to some road closures, but we had plenty of time allotted in the schedule. The service is a little pricey, but it's a premium to have them come to you. I didn't want to be running all over town on the morning of our wedding. The stylists were both very nice and took our directions/ideas very well.

Stylist to Go was great to work with for our wedding. We had a large party of women that needed to be prepared by a specific time, and the team made sure that each person got the care they deserved. And on the day of the event, they were even flexible enough to add on extra people - without appearing stressed or worried. They maintained a professional composure and provided us with beautiful hair and makeup for our entire wedding party. Prior to the wedding, the team was easy to set up an appointment with and made the discussion of pricing very convenient. I would recommend them for other events as well!

I chose Stylist to Go because they were more affordable than other make up/hair artists in the area. Emailing wise, they seem really professional. The hair and makeup girls were on time. My hair person was AMAZING. She did exactly what I wanted based off of my inspo pics. My make-up person was really nice and I mostly got the look I was going for although my face seemed a bit cakey and the lip color I wanted could not really be achieved. Just beware that you will probably have to pay for 'travel' even though you're in the area (I got this surprise charge immediately after the wedding). Overall they are great if you want to get ready with your friends and family in a hotel room!

Amy and her team did hair and makeup services for my wedding a few weeks back, and I'm still amazed at the great job they did. A few of my bridesmaids have been in many weddings before, and said this was by far the best hair and makeup they'd gotten done! Not only did we look great, but I noticed that all the stylists were very gentle too - no sticking bobby pins to your head, or ignoring your watery eyes. The stylists were all so personable too, it was like hanging out with friends. It made the wedding morning so nice and much less stressful than it could have been. Two of my bridesmaids hardly ever wear makeup, and the stylists totally totally took that into account to still make them feel comfortable getting their services. Can't recommend Stylist to go enough for your HMU!!

Amy & Zia did a beautiful job on my hair & makeup. I did 3 looks for my trial, which I really loved as a point of comparison. Amy also took photos of each look and sent them to me. I really appreciated that I could do a makeup trail, since I haven't liked my makeup when it has been done in the past.

All of my bridesmaids who had hair and/or makeup done looked great, though the second hairdresser that Amy (the owner) brought to do hair was not quite as good as her. Overall, the prices are decent, though you do have to pay travel fees if you are outside of their area. The only negative I have was about communication. There were a few details left for the night before the wedding around 9:30pm, which I think any wedding vendor should realize is a highly inconvenient time to be contacting a bride. So if you do choose stylist to go, make sure you have specific scheduling details & prep instructions for the bridal party ironed out well beforehand.

I am definitely glad I went with Stylist to Go. I wanted a vintage wedding look, which after looking through her portfolio, I could tell Amy really specializes in. It was also important to me that I could get makeup that was glamorous, but that did not look caked on. Zia really did not overdo it, but I also got the drama I was hoping for. I got so many compliments on my hair & makeup, and I was truly satisfied.

I really wanted to write a good review for Stylist To Go. I chose this vendor based on the WeddingWire reviews, which were all extremely positive. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as positive.

The quality of service was great. I had a bunch of family members get their hair and/or makeup done for my wedding. Amy listened to what I wanted for my hair and did a great job. She put fresh flowers in and it was so well designed people thought it was a clip. Nyisha is a fantastic makeup artist - I told her I wanted to look natural and bright and she blew me away with her talent. Zia also did a great job.

Unfortunately on my wedding day, the hair/make team were all very late - ranging from 30 minutes late to 90 minutes. While we luckily built in a buffer we were still 30 minutes late for pictures and arriving at the venue (and we weren't able to do touch-ups, which were part of the schedule). Needless to say, this is the last thing you want to stress about on your wedding day.

In addition, while their prices seem a little cheaper then other vendors they have mastered the add-ons. $100 for each additional stylist (even though you are paying for the service not the stylists time), a travel fee, and parking costs (which actually included a parking ticket for one the stylists). They even charged me $50 for helping my mother put a clip in her hair, which took all of 2 minutes, and $20 extra for putting my little sisters hair half back, which is thick but above her shoulders.

Amy does try to be accommodating for brides, she helped me with a second trial when I wasn't thrilled with the first one. In addition, she deducted the $50 charge for my mom's hair, half of the extra $20 for my sisters, and the credit card fee for arriving late on my wedding day. While I still think the additional charges are extreme, I appreciated the deductions and Amy's good attitude.

I just had my trial appointment and you can have up to 3 hair styles for the trial that costs $113. For the price I expected something that has a wow factor to it... which they did not give me. Let me start by saying the lady was very nice and professional, she was on time and courteous and friendly. I explained my concerns to her and showed her photos of what I wanted.
One hair style she did she gave me a side fish tail braid, none of the photos I showed her was of a fish tail braid nor did I ask her for a fish tail braid, I hate fish tail braids. So instead of correcting it and putting effort into giving me what i actually wanted she hurried to give me something of what she "thought" was how to do something in one of the photos but took really no time and effort into making it look remotely how I wanted it. So she counted that as on of the three styles. Now the other 2 styles were basically something I could have done myself. I am not hiring someone or paying a ridiculous amount of money for something I can do myself... hence why I hire someone. So All in All I am disappointed and I dont know if she will be able to deliver the day of.

The hair and make-up was nice. But anyone with a air brush kit could do what they did. They were an hour late to my trial and messed up my bill so I had to pay them twice. Then for the day of the wedding. They were an hour and a half late! No one called me to let me know, I had to call around looking for them! They were rude to my bridesmaids. I asked them to park on the street and of course they parked in the lot and costed me more money for parking. They gave me a goodie bag to make up for their lateness but it was small and just junk in it. I would never ever go back there!
