We really enjoyed our experience working with Steven! We felt comfortable as soon as we connected with him on Zoom. He's a great listener and understood our photography vision for our wedding. The engagement session was a great opportunity to get to know him. On the day of the wedding his assistant was fantastic as well and they took all of the family portraits we needed (there was A LOT!). Our engagement and wedding photos really capture the joy of the day - they aren't cheesy. The pics are full of life and vibrancy and put me right back in the day. Would highly recommend. -

We hired Steve for an adventure photoshoot after our engagement. We loved the pics so much we used them for our wedding invitation and our wedding website. He also was our photographer on the actual wedding day. He was a pleasure to work with! So friendly and overall positive and warm energy. The pictures turned out incredible and he made the entire experience fun and easy! Highly recommend his services! -

After looking at so many photographers with the same photo style we found Steven through the recommendation of a friend and were instantly drawn to his unique, vibrant, and fun style!
We worked with Steven for our engagement photos and for our wedding day and really loved working with him both times! Steven is an awesome person and such a chill/calming presence to have around on the wedding day. We also had a lot of fun with his second shooter, Stephanie, and she was a huge help in making sure our photos looked amazing!
Steven is a truly talented photographer and his photos really captured the energy of our wedding day. We are so impressed with the quality of his photos and love looking at them to relive the fun and excitement from that day! Big props on the quick turnaround time, we have enjoyed sharing with all of our family and friends. We also used his photobooth add-on and our guests had a blast with it!
Working with Steven for our wedding was one of our best decisions and we hope to be able to work with him again for future photos! -

Steven was excellent in every way. We chose Steven for both our engagement photos and our wedding, and we have absolutely zero regrets. Months later, I continue to get compliments on our amazing photos.
I believe his photos speak for themselves, but I can speak to some of the other qualities that are so important in a photographer. Steven was so easy to be around, which is exactly what you need on a day where tensions and anxieties tend to run high. He did an excellent job of creating a timeline for us and helping us stick to it. We were sent a questionnaire beforehand asking us if there’s anything specific we want photos of, which helped a ton. He picked a terrific second shooter, who was also really easy to spend an entire day with. They did a great job of capturing both posed portraits as well as the little moments throughout the day, and I think it can be challenging to find someone who is great at both. Steven promptly responded to all emails, and had a really quick turn around. Also, our engagement shoot itself was really fun. Steven’s up for anything, and basically performed some acrobatics to get some of the shots that ended up being some of our favorites. We highly recommend Steven and Lily. -

Organized and responsive
Steven was great to work with from the beginning. He was organized and made the day of our wedding easy, without pulling us away from the moment. The fact that he brought another photographer the day of our wedding was great because we were able to get different angles. He was friendly and wonderful to work with. We would strongly recommend him in the future. -

User1710145 Sent on 07/13/2014Our friends used Steven and Lily at their wedding, and they took probably the best picture of my fiance and I ever!
For our wedding we wanted to do something that really embodied us. When we proposed pictures on top of Seneca Rocks in West Virginia, Steven was all about it. The whole affair involved an early morning hike up to the top of the peak, and then a scramble across some rocks. We had rock climbing friends make sure he was safe. That was very important since he was on a narrow ledge with a long drop on either side! Clearly we picked the right photographer for this job!
Steven was really professional and fun. He gave us lots of good information on what we could do to get the best picture. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat.
P.S. Lily wasn't with him, because she'd recently had a baby! -

For our engagement pictures, Steven and Lily were willing to meet us out of town. We had threats of rainy weather for several scheduled dates, and Steven and Lily were quick to stay in touch and flexible when we got rained out. For my bridal portraits, Steven and Lily made a fantastic team. Their photos were absolutely stunning, and they worked so well together to get a variety of poses and styles! For my bridal portraits and our wedding photos, Steven was willing to do anything it took to get the best shots. He is creative, knowledgeable, and truly talented. He makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and will get high-quality pictures that you won't see anywhere else. He can do portraits, artistic shots, and quality reception photos. Communicating with him was easy, and he provides quick feedback and easy access to all your portraits. Even if you aren't a Richmond couple (neither our engagement shots nor bridal/wedding photos were taken locally), Steven and Lily are worth a look.
