We used Sowell Farms for our daughter's wedding venue. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding. There are several options for ceremony location at the venue. The barn is a great option for the reception, with a catering kitchen and large area for gathering. The staff were a pleasure to work with, from the prewedding planning to the day of the event. They were always prompt and professional in their communication. Pricing was clearly defined and honored throughout. The facility was in great condition. We selected this venue before we had seen it in person based on the reviews due to living in another part of the state. It exceeded our expectations and is even better in person than the photos. We highly recommend this wedding venue. They are a quality, professional company and easy to work with. -

We just had our wedding at Sowell this past weekend and it was the best experience! The wedding coordinator Kaitlin was absolutely amazing and made our day so much easier. She thought of everything!
The venue is great for weddings and has everything you need. The built in bar is gorgeous and the Photo Booth was a hit! We can’t wait to go through all the photos from our guests. Also the Whistling Pig catering they provided was delicious! I’m eating leftovers now as I type this lol 😆
We also had a crazy situation come up mid day and the venue and catering were so accommodating that I wanted to mention how amazing that was. They really are fantastic people at this venue I highly recommend Sowell! -

My wife and I recently had our wedding here and also used their catering service, Whistlin’ Pig. The staff here, primarily Ryan and Ashlie, treated us like family and went through great lengths to ensure that this was the greatest day of our lives. It also helps that the value of what you pay for is incredible. We are extremely grateful for everything they did for us, and I recommend absolutely anyone have their big day here and to use their catering services. My guests were extremely happy with the services, the smoked southern style foods, the atmosphere, and the warm and homely feel that the staff maintained throughout. Anyone remotely near the area would be doing themselves a disservice not hosting their wedding here.Sowell Farms's reply:

The best barn wedding venue
My husband and I recently got married at Sowell Farms on nov. 15! It was the best place in the area to hold a wedding. Ryan and Ashlie were a pleasure to work with and quick to respond with any questions that we had. You get the farm to yourself on your wedding with many different areas on the property to hold your ceremony at. With covid occurring this venue is very spacious to make your guest feel comfortable! We highly recommend this farm you will not be disappointed! -

This was the first one me and my husband checked out and we knew from the start that this was THE ONE. You have multiple sites to choose for your ceremony and we had the reception inside the barn. They have a cozy fire pit to sit around as well, which was perfect for ending our night surrounded by our favorite people around the fire. If you choose Sowell Farms, I highly recommend using their catering service as well. The food was incredible. It was a pleasure working with Ryan & Ashlie to ensure our special day went how we envisioned (and it did!). And if that somehow hasn't convinced you yet, we had the opportunity to have a zebra in the background of some wedding photos! -

So Beautiful!
Ashlie and Ryan are absolutely amazing. I can not thAnk them enough for everything they did. ALL of their recommendations were PERFECT! Sowell Farms is stunning in every location! There are so many beautiful spots here for ceremony and photos! We had Ashlie as our coordinator as well and she was fantastic! Everyone had so much fun looking at the zebras too! Definitely will forever be a memorable wedding for your guests! We also had them cater our wedding as well! I highly recommend having your wedding here! I included photos so you can see just how beautiful the venue is! These photos I uploaded were taken by Phocus and we’re all taken at Sowell.

Eric and I had the wedding of our dreams at Sowell Farms. The venue is breathtaking and the accommodations for the bridal suite and grooms suite were top notch. We loved the lighting in the pavilion and in the barn. We got so many wonderful pictures with Phocus Photography. Ashlie and her husband Ryan do an outstanding job planning and executing the events of your wedding. There was never a moment where I was worried or stressed about how it was all going to turn out. Ashlie gets back to you quickly when you have questions and she communicates very well. She does so well with helping you pick out all the details of the decor and the prices for the venue are very reasonable. It rained on our wedding day with a tropical storm, but Ashlie had back up plans and was able to drive us around on golf carts to help keep us out of the rain. The farms are so pretty when it is not raining and there are so many opportunities for fantastic pictures. They have zebras and a camel too!! It's so neat to see them in the background during the ceremony. We love how well they worked with our other vendors Phocus Photography and DJ Tom Schwarz. "The Dream Team" is a trifecta of excellence and they work so well together to make the entire event seamless and fluid. All of our guests were so impressed with the wedding. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sowell Farms, Phocus Photography and DJ Tom. -

Everything was amazing!! We are so happy that they helped with organizing, with signaling the staff and the bridal party, setting up, food, and just everything. I would recommend this venue. Yes it is pricey, but your paying for amazing services. They work with you on everything especially if you can’t pay right away. You have till about a month before the wedding day to pay the rest of the bill. I am so grateful!!

We had paid for someone to set up and decorate but my husband’s mom paid a decorator to do final touchups.

They helped with organizing everything from when we got there setting up to helping with walking down the aisle just literally everything that you can think of with the wedding.

Dream wedding
My husband and I were able to focus on visiting with our guests instead of worrying about everything going right because that was all done for us. They were so good to us and they were also good to our other vendors. Amazing people, beautiful setting -

We were at Sowell Farms with our Church family. The venue is beautiful. This place would be so great for any gathering. Pretty chandeliers above, great floor for dancing. Beautiful decorations. Food was really good and the staff was right on top of everything and very polite. -

Amazing Service and location
Ashley went out of her way to make my daughters day perfect for her. She was easy to work with and gives great ideas. She knows how to rally the troops and can give great recommendations for other vendors. She is very understanding of changes and the whole place is like visiting the family at a beautiful location. The venue was beautiful even on a rainy day. It rained the entire day but not one thing was effected during the wedding. The ceremony was held outside under a gorgeous pavillion everyone stayed dry and we even had a wonderful audience of zebras for our guests to enjoy while waiting for the wedding to start. I love this venue and the family that runs it. -

For our wedding, we were specific about finding a venue with having our own caterer and doing a lot ourselves. This venue was our dream, they offered so many things and had great recommendations. Ryan and Ashliee were amazing to work with! Pricing on everything was fair, they truly made our dream wedding come true. I would recommend this venue to anyone! -

I got married at Sowell Farms a week ago and cannot say enough good things about not only the amazing venue, but Ashely and Ryan (the owners). The location is phenomenal! Well kept, clean, appealing, charming, and all around gorgeous. Booking with Sowell Farms was the best wedding decision my husband and I made. We reached out to Ashley multiple times leading up to the day to make sure all was in order and she answered any questions we had promptly and professionally. Everyone one who runs the venue is so sweet and fun to work with. I rave about this location to anyone and everyone I can. The owners and this venue made our wedding day absolutely perfect. I would not change one thing about the experience! Seriously AMAZING! We will forever be grateful that we said “I do” at such a breathtaking location with people that we can now truly call friends. ♥️ -

Ryan and Ashlie were nothing short of awesome. Helpful in everything! Very accommodating. I, the bride, am extremely indecisive...they never got frustrated with us and our millions of different decisions. Sowell Farms is a beautiful place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place to get married. And a plus...we get to go back each year and visit their Christmas light show! -

Amazing and honest

Ashley and Ryan were so amazing with all the extras my sister's wanted after I had already had what I wanted. They went above and beyond to keep their craziness at bay and make sure I didn't get upset. Ashley is the best wedding coordinator anyone can ask for, and now they have a new area to get married so I now have to renew my vows there. Oh and our wedding proved the island can hold over 100 guests. -

Beautiful Venue
They have a beautiful venue, great hospitality, wide arrangements of rentals that fits every budget low or high, great communication with us, wide variety of services, and they are absolutely amazing to work with. It was raining on my wedding day and they worked so hard to wait until the last minute to set up based on the weather. They kept workers on site to arrange everything and made the day so easy for me and my husband. They are amazing to work with. They sat us down when we booked with them, a couple months before the wedding, during the rehearsal, and the morning of (just the bride), all to make sure they had every detail perfectly as we wanted. They made great suggestions and gave great advise based on what they've seen work and not work. They helped with a lot of the fine details and also helped us make sure we had everything we needed. They made sure to keep eyes on both me and my husband the day of to make sure there weren't any accidental run-ins before the ceramony and transported us to different spots of the venues with our photographers with ease for all of our pictures. They were absolutely wonderful for everything, I didnt have a single problem. They also have animals on site that they allow you to use for pictures with the bride a groom. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day with a more perfect venue. I will ALWAYS remember all the small things they did that most venue owners wouldn't do. I am so thankful for all the workers at Sowell farms, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. -

I got married at Sowell Farms 6/16/18. This venue is so beautiful, more than you can get from a picture. This is a family business and by the end of this we felt like part of their family. Ashlie her mother and husband did everything in their power to make sure I was beyond happy with my experience here. I can truly say they took the stress out of everything. Long story short my DJ was a fluke.. I was so upset, within 30 minutes I had a professional DJ at my reception and was amazing. And I didn’t have to make one phone call, Thanks to Ashlie. You will not regret having any type of celebration here. Every guest had an amazing time. Forever grateful for Sowell Farms and the amazing family who run this place❤️ -

We honestly can not begin to explain the experience we had and have it fully tell you the greatness of it. Everyone from sowell farms was wonderful. We were one of the first weddings there and we couldn't have picked a more perfect setting. Several places to choose from on the property to have the ceremony so you will definitely find one you will love. Ashlie and her mother (along with everyone behind the scene there) did everything to make sure we had everything we needed for our special day and I can not praise them enough. Any time I hear about someone planning a wedding I always tell them to look into Sowell Farms. -

A family Business who puts their heart and sole into every event.
I hosted my Daughters destination wedding at Sowell Farms this past March and I could not be happier with the service and care we received. From the very first contact my Daughter and I had with them we knew this was the right venue. We actually booked the venue sight unseen just after reading the reviews and speaking with the owners. This family works together in perfect harmony to make each event as perfect as it can be. They partner with other vendors who know their property so well and work together with the owners which really puts you at ease that you have nothing to worry about because they have got things covered. It makes all the difference when the owners really love what they do and this family certainly does. Thank you Sowell Farms for helping to make my Daughters dream wedding come true. -

I would recommend Sowell Farms over and over again! When my fiancé (at the time ♥️) and I drove up the driveway, we took one look around and knew that that was the place we were going to get married. We first met Ryan, and he was awesome! He showed us everywhere, not only in the barn but we also got to check out the animals too! I met Ashlie to go over planning later on, and she was so thorough and thoughtful when hearing my vision, and then proceeding to go through every step of the big day, including things that I hadn’t thought of. She was also my wedding day coordinator, and let me tell you: that was THE BEST decision that I made! Everything went so smoothly; from rehearsal to end of the wedding night, she was on top of every detail and made sure everything went so smoothly so we could enjoy our wedding. Ryan was also our bartender, also a great decision! He kept the bar stocked and kept all of our thirsty guests hydrated too. And I briefly met Mr. and Mrs. Sowell, but it was absolutely no different. They made sure everything was clean and perfectly set up the way I wanted and envisioned it. Mrs. Sowell drove me up to the aisle that I walked down, and she was giving me hopeful thoughts and calmed my nerves so much! My husband rode on the vintage firetruck (having the time of his life—it was a surprise from me to him!) that Mr. Sowell drove for him and the groomsmen, and he was a great sport and very kind, too. We had the perfect wedding—I honestly wish I could do it over and over! Our wedding was on a Sunday in February 2018, and they have a cherry blossom tree in front of their house that only blooms twice a year. It just so happened that we got married on the second day it blossomed! As I said before, I would recommend Sowell Farms over and over again. They treat you like family and I now have forever friends! -

Perfect dream wedding
Sowell Farms went above and beyond. I had the perfect wedding I'd always dreamed of. We had an awesome line of communication and anything I wanted to change or adjust was met head on to make sure I had everything I'd hoped for. Ashlie and Ryan made us feel like we were part of the family rather than just strangers and I'm so happy to feel like we have made lifelong friends with them. We had an outdoor wedding and were told if it rained they would help rush everything inside to help make sure our day went as smooth as possible. They offer a bar area with ice and a kitchen area to keep your foods warm or cold. They offer a changing room for the bridal parties to change the day of which helps take so much stress away and lets you bond with your people. Their awesome farm animals are a bonus to see!! -

Venue was BEAUTIFUL. We had Ashley as our coordinator and that is going to be your best decision, she made the day run so smoothly, is prepared for any unforeseen circumstances (rain or shine), and helped coordinate with the dj, the food and they were on top of things I just didn’t even consider. They really make sure you have a stress free process, by taking care of so many things, and at very reasonable prices. They will accommodate you, and are very personable. This was the easiest decision we made regarding our wedding and one of the best ! We went with some vendors they recommended and know what they’re doing :) -

First and foremost I must say thank you Sowell Farms for making the day of our dreams come true! Sowell Farms took care of EVERYTHING. There was nothing that we’d change. We will definitely be doing our vow renewal there in 20 years time! You can’t go wrong hiring this team of people! They are the nicest hard working team in the area! Give them a call, take the tour, and allow them to dazzle you with all they have to offer! You will not be disappointed! This venue is gorgeous! It truly is a one stop shop for all things wedding. It all started earlier this year in January when we went Venue shopping. The tour was fantastic! Ryan took us around the property in a golf cart and explained what all we’d be getting if we signed with them. You get access to the entire farm on your day! They also have decorations and different props that you can use. You have your choice of cars that you can use as well! The have all kinds of options to make your day uniquely yours! These folks aren’t pushy at all nor do they talk down on other businesses. Instead they make excellent recommendations on who to work with. Some of the best in the business! We also used Ashlie as our day of wedding coordinator and she was fantastic! Just give her a timeline and everything falls into place! Seamlessly and unobtrusively. We didn’t have to worry about anything the day of. They even allowed us to have our cake brought in the day before so we wouldn’t have to pay the delivery cost! Ryan became my go to to vent to about the weather! It was forecast at about 80% to rain on our day. I could show the many texts I sent about the rain and he steadfastly stated that it would not rain. We did the rehearsal inside the barn just in case though because I wasn’t as confident as he was lol. November 9, 2018 came and it was humid, muggy and in the 70’s that morning. We arrived at 10:00am to start hair and makeup. The clouds started rolling in and apparently it rained pretty hard for 30 minutes before the ceremony, I had no idea though because the bridal party kept me from my phone and had the music blasting. When it came time to do the first looks/bridal photos it was cloudy and the temperature had dropped drastically. It was also windy but it made for some drop dead photos. Guess what...when it was time for the ceremony we were able to have an outside wedding! We opted to have it by the barn in case the sky opened up. I’m not saying that Ryan is a weather master...I’m saying it didn’t rain though lol. The whole day went off without a hitch! My husband and I had an absolute wonderful time! I would highly recommend! Also, just because it’s a barn/farm venue doesn’t mean you have to do rustic. We had a beautiful black and white classic wedding and it was gorgeous! Especially with those black and white drapes on the ceiling! Matched perfectly with our color scheme. So again...thank you everyone at Sowell Farms for going above and beyond to make our day so very special! We can not thank you enough! -

Ashli and her team went above and beyond to help us make our wedding day perfect. The dedication dressing rooms were the perfect place to spend the day for the bridal party. The ceremony in front of the outdoor fireplace on a covered pavilion was breathtaking. The reception inside the barn was spacious and comfortable for all of our guests. Everyone was raving about the brisket from Whistling Pig. We could not have asked for a better day and I highly recommend Sowell if you’re looking for a wedding venue on the Panhandle.
