We truly could not have imagined a more perfect place to have our wedding than the Southernmost Beach Resort. Every single detail was absolutely beautiful, and the entire day came to life even better than we ever dreamed. From the stunning views to the atmosphere, everything about this venue was pure perfection.

Jena Rose was absolutely AMAZING throughout the entire process. She made everything feel seamless, organized, and stress-free, and truly brought our vision to life. Her attention to detail, communication, and care made us feel so special every step of the way.

If you are wondering where to have a wedding in Key West it should absolutely be at the Southernmost Beach Resort. It was the most magical experience and a day we will never forget!

When choosing a venue, my daughter and her fiancé had the option to have their wedding at many places on Key West. We are overjoyed that the Bride and Groom chose Southernmost Beach Resort. As a mom, I helped in a lot of the planning and Jena Rose made every step fun and easy. The venue is right on the water and their ceremony backdrop was a sunset on the ocean. It was stunning. Southernmost took care of all the catering and all of our 85 guests raved that it was the best steak and fish they had eaten in a long time. The reception was on their South Beach under a tent lined with lights. It was magical. The guests danced all night and when they were not dancing they were hanging out by the oceans edge in the beautiful breeze. Southernmost set up a smore's station that all the guests could not get enough of! We also had the rehearsal dinner on the West Lawn followed by a welcome reception for out of town guests. Again the food was awesome. Some people saying the sliders and fish tacos were the best they ate their whole stay. We followed the wedding reception with a Farewell breakfast on the beach the following day with a buffet full of the yummiest breakfast foods. The chef took extra care to honor all allergies and intolerances. The communication with Jena Rose along the way was constant and through. She made the planning easy and always was there to answer any and all the questions I had. If you are considering a Key West destination wedding I would HIGHLY recommend Southernmost. It goes down as the best vacation and event we all have ever planned.

We got married October 30 on the Southernmost beach and it was beautiful. Granted our original venue on the resort got damaged due to hurricane Ian l, the staff was accommodating in getting us a new location without any issues. The food was spectacular and we continue to get compliments on it, the bar staff was fun and friendly, and I was able to watch the setup from my room which was a huge bonus! We couldn't have asked for more on our wedding day, our expectations were blown out of the water here.

My husband and I got married at The Southernmost Beach Resort on March 4, and it was the most perfect day! The resort offers a beautiful setting, beachfront sunset ceremony. We utilized the conference room as the bridal suite which allowed us to have hair and makeup services with plenty of space. Additionally, our ocean front suite was breathtaking! All of our guests were so happy- the food was delicious, Fernando and the bar team went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our experience!

JenaRose made everything so easy! We had a beautiful room and great service. The only fallback was that our room was not ready at check in time (but was maybe an hour or so late) which cut into some planned events (a tiny bit) but other than that it was perfect.

Don't hesitate to use this resort for your wedding. The team is amazing, the property has so many options for a beautiful wedding. I planned our wedding in five weeks. No planner and was rescheduling a Hawaii wedding due to COVID. It turned out so fantastic. Zero regrets!! So grateful and blessed!

We're so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Southernmost. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and it's right on the water with its own private beach. We had our ceremony on a separate small sandy area, which was perfect for the amount of guests we had (55), and it was more private. The staff were accommodating, we never had an issue. The bar staff were fun and engaging. The food, amazing!!! We ended up choosing the pig roast, and everything was delicious from the appetizers to the meal. Everything about our wedding at the Southernmost was everything we imagined and more. Now we will stay there every time we go and visit since it has a special place in our hearts!

Picking out a Venue for your destination wedding without doing it in person is a big deal! We got engaged in Oct 2018 and I started researching the next month. I feel in love with Southernmost Beach Resort, it has so much charm! They have a Private Beach on site that is where we had our ceremony and our reception was held on the public beach, sitting next door to The Southernmost's Beach Cafe. I based my pick solely on pictures and the fact that both ceremony & reception would be held on the beach - which is what we wanted. We had 64 ppl total, including us. The resort itself is located in or near Old Towne Key West and that reflects in the architecture. When we checked in, we had a bottle of champagne, a charcuterie board & a thank you note from the resort, thanking us for choosing them for our wedding & stay! What a nice touch! The staff & bartenders were amazing during our stay! I booked Southernmost by February 2019 and immediately started working with JenaRose, who answered all my questions promptly and helped me with decisions, for the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception details. We got married on February 22nd, 2020 at Southernmost and it was beautiful! My research paid off and I truly enjoyed my wedding! I'm so happy I picked this resort for our big day! Also, we ate at the Cafe multi times on our stay in KW, the food was top notch! Thank you, Riki & Tyler

Our son's wedding reception was so beautiful at Southernmost Resort on November 15! A beautiful tent with chandeliers and tiki torches around the outside on the beach. The food and service were excellent. Round tables with linens and crystal made it very elegant. A dream wedding for sure! Thank you Southernmost Resort!

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Southern Most on 11/23/19 and it was amazing. First of all, JenaRose and her team were a dream to deal with. They are responsive, patient, and helpful. We worked together for 11 months and I had nothing but positive experiences. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful and clean, and wedding day went off without a hitch. We got married on the private beach, and our reception was on the public beach. Both areas felt private. We also used SoMo for catering and our guests raved about the food - so delicious. We managed to pull off a laid back, barefoot wedding, that still felt elegant and classy. You won'y regret booking SoMo for your wedding!!

We had our wedding there and the ocean front view is just absolutely breath taking... We will go back!!!

We held our ceremony and reception at SOMO on June 1, 2018 and it couldn’t have been more perfect. JenaRose was great and made planning a breeze. Jane was amazing at coordinating our room block and making sure our guest room requests were met. The staff who set up and worked our wedding and brunch the next day provided impeccable service. The venue is laid back and provides a relaxed atmosphere which is just what we wanted. We wouldn’t have changed a thing!

The Southernmost Beach Resort was beautiful, accommodating and everything we could have asked for in a wedding venue. The communication was fantastic considering we organised the wedding from England. They were happy to accommodate us with any questions we had and always had a quick response. When my now husband and I went to take a tour of the Southernmost Beach Resort we immediately knew this was the venue we wanted to get married at!
With less than a year to plan, we had to get moving! Jane Brannigan, the Group Sales Manager was so wonderful to work with. I had her send me many different room rates for many different dates and she was always so friendly and willing to help! When we signed our contract we began working with JenaRose McCall, the Catering Sales Manager. She is extremely professional and knows the ins and outs of the business and the resort. I had a lot of questions for her and she was always so helpful! The resort itself is breathtaking. We had many guests traveling from all over the world, and we could not wait for them to experience the resort and Key West. Everyone was treated with top notch service during their entire stay. There was not one complaint, and people are already saying they can’t wait to go back!
As for the wedding, we chose to have the rehearsal dinner, wedding and post wedding brunch all at the resort. It made things so much easier, as people were not traveling around Key West for the different events. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Tranquility Pool. The space was set up so beautifully, the food and drinks were great. The day of the wedding I rented out the conference room space which was a perfect idea. When we got to the room the morning of the wedding it was set up with chilled bottles of water, mirrors, and other little details like cotton balls, q-tips, makeup wipes.
Our ceremony took place on the private beach. It was absolutely breathtaking! The reception took place on South beach, and it was outstanding! The food and drinks were out of this world, service was top notch! I cannot recommend this resort enough !

We did not use Southernmost as our wedding venue, but rather as the resort we stayed during our wedding weekend. My husband & I live locally in the Keys & often head to Key West for a weekend, having stayed here many times. We opted for Southernmost for their spacious rooms, & wonderful location. The staff was so amazing! The bridesmaids got ready in our room, having hair & makeup done there as well. (Some hotels in Key West do not allow this.) The staff checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. We had our 1st look photos taken on the property & they turned out beautiful!

I had a picture perfect wedding day!! I got married at Southernmost Beach Resort on March 10 and I couldn't be happier with how beautiful the day was. The food, service, weather and views were amazing!! Everyone loved the steak and mahi-mahi. It was a destination wedding for my guests and they were very impressed. JenaRose and the Family Affair team were super helpful during the planning process. Thank you so much!

We are from NJ and had our wedding at this resort. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. The resort was beautiful!!

Married at the Southernmost resort on Saturday, 6/18/16. We booked 11 rooms for family and friends and arrived together in a bus from Ft Lauderdale ready to party and just relax until the wedding. Luis greeted us at the main Lobby with a huge smile and directions to where all of us were staying at the resort. It took a little bit to get through the process but we were motivated and ready to hit the pool and the bar so after an hour everyone had a room and we left reception to go to our rooms. Quickly finding each other at the bar at the pool and the festivities started. I highly recommend renting the two main cabanas at the Shores pool. The cabana personnel bring all kinds of goodies to drink and eat for everyone and the cabanas have ceiling fans to keep you cool. We all loved the cabana's so much we rented them for everyday we stayed at the resort, even the day of the wedding. The room was gorgeous. I recommend staying beach side in rooms 639 or 739. Beautiful views of the ocean. The Cafe accommodated all of us when we stayed on site. Marta the manager made sure everyone had a seat. The staff were efficient and attentive. The food was just excellent at the cafe along with the drinks. No one had a complaint to make about the cafe. The resort opened up a stand alone building for the day of the wedding. The hair and makeup team we brought from Ft Lauderdale had plenty of room to set up. They did not have a shampoo bowl, only a small sink. The room had Mimosa, sparking and bottled water, a tray we had purchased from the resort for our guests called Something New. Everyone had plenty to snack on. My favorites included the salmon and the bruchetta. We were checked on several times during the 7 hours until the wedding started. If you are going to get married this is the caterer to use for your wedding. All our guests raved about the filet and lobster. There were so many servers catering to my guests. I had the most stress free, beautiful beach wedding. Better than even I could have hoped for. Jenna was so accommodating and on top of things and he hotel staff was great! We went into this wedding totally blind and it turned out to be a fairy tale day!

JenaRose did a beautiful job of handling my daughter's wedding. I found the planning of a destination wedding a daunting task - similar to driving blind - Southernmost is a wonderful venue - food was fabulous, liquor top shelf, vendor list provided was so helpful - could not ask for a more perfect atmosphere, the wedding was picture perfect. The week was amazing - no disappointments. We were all so incredibly happy with the venue and the staff - thank you to all the staff for your help in planning. Did find the most amazing florist - 'Gourmet Nibbles and Baskets' - tropical bouquets that are spectacular. Southernmost Resort did not disappoint not just with the wedding but with the accommodations. We enjoyed day after day at the pool with a wonderful staff. Sorry when the week was over.

With the help of Jena and everyone at Southernmost, we Pulled off our dream beach wedding! Everything was perfect; the night flowed seamlessly, the food was amazing, and the beachside ceremony and reception were breathtaking. Would highly recommend to anyone with a dream of a beach wedding, the staff made our wedding day so special and we didn't have to worry about a thing the day of!

Southernmost on the Beach is a wonderful wedding venue! We have always stayed there since the start of our relationship so it was a special place for us to host our wedding. Jena, Marianne and Victoria were great to work with, always very responsive and we didn't need to even hire a wedding planner as they helped us with all aspects and made the process smooth and relaxed --- felt more like a vacation! We were graced with amazing weather the day of our wedding and all aspects were a success and setup I really had nothing to worry about with the hotel and the girls were just fabulous. AWESOME place to get married and one of the ONLY places in Key West to have your reception on the beach! Yes, it costs more than a do-it-yourself wedding on the beach, but it is so worth it! The staff was amazing and very helpful. The room was incredible. The food was also spectacular. They even gave us half of their beach bar jsut for our reception! They even invented a new level of alcohol (Ultra Premium) just for us! We can't wait to go back and reminisce!

Jena and team were truly AMAZING. Having traded emails back and forth leading up to the wedding, they knew exactly what we wanted and did everything to make it perfect. Honestly, I didn't do anything the day of the wedding - Jena told us where to be and even how to cut the cake so we could take good pictures. Honestly, the day was a success because Jena did an amazing job making sure everything ran smoothly. She even saved us a plate of appetizers out for us in case we missed the cocktail hour.

The entire staff was very helpful through out the process. They answered my questions in a timely manner, and was there when I needed them. Yes, they are pricey but once family and friends saw the resort including the vicinity to Old town Key West they understood my choice!

Amazing in every way! We got married at the Southernmost Hotel on the Beach 3 weeks ago. It was absolutely perfect! Everyone was professional, courteous and couldn't do enough for us! Jena coordinated our day and did an amazing job! She worked with us consistently up until our wedding day to make sure our menu was exactly what we wanted. She always remained courteous and kind through the many phone calls and emails we exchanged. On our wedding day, Jena worked tirelessly to set up the many small details that I added, and she continued to make sure everything was perfect! The location was absolutely stunning with beautiful landscaping-ideal for photos! Food was THE BEST food you could ask for. Our guests are still commenting on how amazing the food and atmosphere were here, and how well they treated us all! We could not be happier with the way our wedding day turned out! It was more than we could have dreamed and we wouldn't have changed a thing!!!

I cannot review Southernmost on the Beach highly enough. The staff was incredibly easy to work with, leading up to the wedding, and responded quickly to all of my emails. The venue itself is gorgeous, and the staff set up the ceremony and reception exactly as I had imagined. I cannot tell you how many of our guests have told us that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been too. We heard rave reviews from our guests regarding the food - many said it was the best wedding food they've ever had (we chose the luau option, with the pig). We went tent-less (which I HIGHLY recommend, if you are willing to chance the weather) and had extra lighting set up by another vendor, and it was awesomely beautiful. Everything about the venue was honestly just perfect, and we could not have been happier with it. It was exactly what we had dreamed of. I did a lot of research on other KW venues before choosing this one, and I can tell you that if you want a beach wedding, this is THE place to have it.

We had a room block at both the Southernmost on the Beach and Southernmost Hotel, and our guests raved about their experiences at the hotels and with the staff. In fact, as I am writing this, 4 of our wedding guests are back in KW, staying at the SOTB because they loved it there so much (which is so unfair, as I sit here watching the snow fall in Maryland). We also have several of our wedding guests planning to make a trip back to SOTB in April with us for our anniversary. The pool, restaurant, bars, and activities at the Southernmost properties give it the feel of an all inclusive resort, where you never have to leave. Our guests had so much fun just hanging out around the property all day, which was awesome for us because we got to spend so much time with everyone. And it is really an all-ages place - we had 2 yr old to elderly guests who all had a blast at the Southernmost properties. My husband and I will never stay anywhere else.

Oh MY Goodness! Our wedding was MAGICAL! We had 60 guests at a sunset wedding and choose the surf and turf option for our wedding. Our guests are still talking about how yummy the food was~ Emily and Jenna were there to tend to eveything we needed. The resort was clean and FUN! It had 3 pool options and a beach! The setting was amazing- our photos were great because of the beach setting. The staff were helpful and courteous. The beach restaurant was top notch! Thank you so much for making our wedding day so memorable, beautiful and magical for our guests and the bride and groom. I can't wait to get back. We will NEVER stay anywhere else on Key West.

The Southernmost Hotel and Resort could not have done a better job in making my dream wedding come true! From the wedding coordinators, to the hotel staff, to the pools, to the hotel rooms, everyone was absolutely amazing and made my experience, along with my guests experiences unforgettable! I would highly recommend Southernmost on the Beach to anyone who is planning a wedding in Key West. It was truly unforgettable!!

JenaRose was wonderful at making sure I answered the questions I needed to and making executive decisions and advice when I needed her to. We loved having our wedding at the Southernmost on the Beach. I had my wedding at the South Beach and my reception on the beach behind La Mer and Dewey House. Both were spectacular! JenaRose made the entire experience flawless, even though I didn't have a wedding planner. She coordinated with all of my vendors, when many of them weren't on their preferred-vendor list. I sent her a picture from pinterest of a unique way I wanted my chair ties tied, and she youtube'ed a video and tied them all herself. I'm sure I'm forgetting so many things, but all I can say is that she was wonderful. The food was fantastic, and several guests said it was the best, prettiest wedding they'd ever seen. I wouldn't have changed a single minute of the day! We also stayed for just under a week, and the entire staff - every single person we met - is excellent.

Southernmost was beyond exceptional! This was the perfect venue in Key West to get married if you'd like to have a beach ceremony. I had about 50 guests and not one person had one bad thing to say. I had my wedding at the Southernmost on the Beach January 26, 2013. It was an amazing venue and everyone raved about the location, service, quality of food, etc. Marianne, Melissa, and JenaRose were phenomenal to work with. We stayed on the property as did many of our guests and we were all thrilled with the staff. The night of our wedding we even met one of the owners who had sat and watched the festivities with his wife! I can't imagine having had my wedding anywhere else on the island and we'll definitely be back for anniversaries, family vacations, etc.

Absolutely the best place for a beach wedding. I can't say enough about Southernmost on the Beach. From the staff at the hotel to the food at the reception, everything was amazing. Our guests raved about the hotel staff, the rooms, the food, and location. The grounds are stunning and our wedding was absolutely perfect. We worked with JenaRose, Marianne, and Melissa and they were beyond accommodating and incredibly helpful. I can't wait to go back for our anniversary!

The resort made our wedding amazing for my husband and I as well as our guests!! Planning a destination wedding can be a little difficult because you cannot meet your vendors face to face. The resort had a recommended list that made the planning process flawless. Our bridal party and guests made it a vacation and most everyone stayed for an entire week... it was so amazing that we will all be going back for an anniversary/reunion celebration!! Everything about the beautiful resort, the staff and a perfect wedding setting made our special day absolutely amazing!!!! I highly recommend this to anyone getting married in Key West... you will not be disappointed!!

The presentation was flawless and the food was absolutely delicious. Friends and family are still talking about the suckling pig with the pulled pork. Absolutely mouthwatering :)

Hands down the best place to get married. I was married on St. Patrick's Day 2012 and it was PERFECT! Everything from the food to the view was everything a little girl dreams of when they think of their perfect beach wedding. My wedding was originally scheduled for June of 2011 but due to a death in the family just 3 days before the set date I had to postpone my wedding. I was sick with sadness for my loss and I was scared that I was going to lose the wedding that I had not only planned for 8 months but also already paid for. The Southernmost on Beach could not have been more understanding. They told me not to worry about anything and when I set a new date they completely took care of everything. I still get tears in my eyes when I think about how understanding and amazingly compassionate they were and how awful everything could have turned out of I didn't choose them as my venue. This is not business that thinks about dollar signs this is a company that is run by amazing people that care about their customers. This service is what all companies should model themselves after. My family will forever be loyal patrons of this beautiful hotel. Also I am still getting calls from my friends and family telling be how amazing my wedding was and how they think we should renew our vows there every year. Seriously there just is not another choice in my mind if you want to get married in Key West. Melissa you are an angel :)

Our wedding ceremony was beautiful and the food was beyond yummy. Our guests were raving about it all night long. The service staff was great and friendly. Melissa, the catering manager, is a dream to work with. She was great and one of my favorite vendors. She made everything easy and stress free. She was quick and patient to answer any and all of our many questions. We planned our wedding without stepping foot onto the property, but Melissa made it seem like we were VIP and old friends.

The property itself is beautiful and the beach is breathtaking to get married on.

The only issue we had problems with was the reservation department. We heard from a few guests they had "lost" their reservations, and I wish our room had been more clear because we were not in the room we had hoped to be in. When we brought it up to the manager she didn't seem to care at all...

Get married here...stay somewhere else! ;) I still love the Southernmost and will always hold it dear and close to my heart. For the most part we were very happy with them.

I can't say enough how amazingly wonderful this place is! From the staff to the food to the beautiful surroundings...we had the most perfect wedding here and I didn't have to worry about a thing! They did the best job we could ever ask for! I highly suggest having a wedding here...I wouldn't have changed a thing!!

When in the midst of wedding planning, it can get very frustrating when trying to communicate requests to the event organizer - let alone not not having a frequent opportunity to stop by the office since we lived in a different state. This was definitely not the case with Southernmost and in particular Jena Rose Wilkinson. She was very responsive with her phone calls/emails and was very accommodating. Jena even offered to be the event coordinator the day of our wedding and worked with all of the other vendors that we contracted with to ensure the wedding day would run smoothly... and it did - to perfection! We never encountered any delays or issues working with her. The staff is very flexible and courteous. The property is spectacular and well kept - it does really match the photos that you see online. I would highly recommend Southernmost Hotel for anyone who is deciding on getting married in Key West.

The venue was lovely and our planner (JenaRose Wilkinson) was very helpful throughout the process. She was easy to get a hold of and it really helped in planning a destination wedding.

A year and a half before our wedding, we went to KW to scout locations. After checking out smathers, Ocean Key, and several others, we decided on Southernmost Resort (SMR). Our wedding pictures are absolutely stunning and our guests are still raving about the venue. That was an amazing night, but truthfully as the bride/primary planner, I really have to rave about the PRE-wedding service. Jenna, Colleen, and the whole staff were exceptionally responsive and patiently answered my plethora of questions. Additionally, they went out of their way to make my special requests happen. I felt like anything was possible and am still reeling over how impressively organized they were that despite three weddings happening our weekend, that every single detail I had requested came through. This may not be the cheapest option on the island, but if you want a truly memorable night with minimal planning pain, THIS is the spot for you!!

I really, really cannot say enough about the wonderful staff and beautiful venue at the Southernmost! We had an incredibly picture-perfect destination wedding here in February, and we couldn't have asked for a lower-stress destination wedding. The Southernmost folks took care of everything! Things were set up, beautifully, and ready to go on time. Our family and friends enjoyed a worry-free, relaxing long weekend with us. Food was delicious and drinks were great. Melissa could not have been more helpful, providing guidance on entertainment selections and other details. THANK YOU for a super memorable day. We can't wait to come back!

We had our ceremony and reception at southernmost and it was absolutely the wedding of our dreams. We did the Dewey plated dinner. The food was great (and we have pretty high standards), it was more like restaurant quality rather than the mass produced quality that is usually served at weddings. The open bar had lots of fun mixed drinks and the bartenders were awesome. Most of all the venue was incredibly beautiful. Being on a private beach we were able to have the whole space essentially to ourselves. Many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to and I have to agree :)

The team at Southernmost is so accommodating and helpful. The setup and food was great! They know how to make your wedding day flawless. We still have guests raving about the ceviche bar!

Southernmost Resorts gave me my dream wedding! The beach was set up beautifully and the food was amazing! The staff was very accommodating and super friendly. They did everything in their power to fulfill every request I had to make my wedding day special and perfect!

We were so happy with the end result of our wedding at the Southernmost Resort. We thought back on the other options we had for venues and had no doubt in our mind we made the right choice. Being on the beach with the view made for some amazing pictures and memories we won't soon forget. I would recommend this location to anyone, and we can't wait to go back!

We got married at the Southernmost Hotel Collection April 12th, 2013. It was the wedding I dreamed of. Having everything there in one spot made it easy for us as well as all our guests. The pictures came out amazing - I couldn't have imagined a more perfect spot. Also the food is amazing!! The hotel is very easy to work with - very responsive on answering any and all questions you may have. Although I do recommend getting a day of coordinator if you do not have a wedding planner - they do not help with putting out decorations - etc on the day of. Highly recommend this hotel - you can't beat the location, food, and convenience!

My family, friends, and us stayed at the Southernmost properties for our wedding weekend. It was wonderful from the service to our rooms.

Only downside: constant construction going on, but we were there off-season and they were still very accommodating.

We enjoyed the food at the Beach Cafe, and the couples massage the day after our wedding was AMAZING! Best we've ever had. They were also able to send out our wedding clothes the day before to get them pressed for us.

Getting married at the Southernmost was perfect! I can't imagine being happier with a venue. The location is beautiful and the staff is fantastic. The ladies that you work with pre-wedding are helpful, responsive, and make the process relatively easy. The staff at the hotel is amazing. Everyone from the bellhops to the bartenders to the waitstaff is top notch. Getting married in Key West was perfect and I can't imagine doing it anywhere other than the Southernmost.

Although we brought 50 people to Key West with us, the Reach Resort was not willing to work with us on a group rate and frankly couldn't have cared less if we stayed there. We ended up staying at the Southernmost on the Beach and were really glad we did. They offered us a room block with a variety of room types and discounted prices. The Southernmost on the Beach has new rooms that are beautiful inside and several offered partial or full ocean views. We had a beautiful room overlooking the beach and water. The only negative was that the balconies were attached from room to room so they didn't offer any privacy, unless you were on the top floor. Judi McInnes was fabulous to work with, handling all of our requests. The Beach Cafe had really good food and the pool bar serves the best Bloody Mary's I have ever had!

Nailing down the perfect hotel property for a destination wedding can be scary, especially if you find yourself in a position where you won’t be able to visit the site. That said, the Southernmost Beach Resort wound up being a great pick.

Our wedding was so beautiful, and the food was amazing! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the food, and we still have guests trying to re-create some of the dishes we picked. When envisioning our wedding, we wanted our closest friends and family to celebrate with us and at the end, everyone wanted just a little more time to dance under the stars.

However, I wish we would have been more clearly informed about the two different sides of the resort when setting up our group booking. I’m sure that a lot of our guests would have been willing to pay the extra money to be on the beachside. Hopefully, they’ve gotten their phone issues resolved as well, as it was difficult (at times) to get the appropriate person on the phone when checking on our group bookings. M & D

We hosted our destination wedding at the Southernmost Beach Resort. Overall, we were very happy with the end result and all of our guests had a wonderful time. We did experience a few hiccups along the way.

The Southernmost's grounds are beautiful. Our ceremony and reception looked amazing and guests raved that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The resort is well located on the island, making it easy for guests to get around and experience Key West. The food at the wedding was excellent, as was the staff. Jena is very professional and easy to work with. We appreciated her help throughout the planning process immensely.

We had a very difficult time with our room block booked at the hotel, it ended up being the most stressful part of the entire planning process. Reservations were mixed up, guests had a difficult time booking their rooms, many who called to book a room couldn't get a hold of the reservations desk for days. We complained multiple times and nothing was ever escalated. It felt at times like no one wanted to deal with us. Upon arrival, our own reservation was mixed up but the front desk was kind enough to take care of it and upgrade us. Signing a contract on a room block at the Southernmost was our biggest regret in wedding planning and we wish we had just let our guests find their own accommodations.

On our wedding day, there was confusion from the staff, things that had not been communicated. The food & beverage manager changed during planning & items discussed at our tasting were no longer available as a result. In the end, we loved our wedding day and nothing could have ruined it. We are very appreciative of the staff that went above and beyond for us, there are some outstanding people working at this hotel. However, the resort gave us the impression they are not well managed and have room for improvement.

Please take in consideration that this resort is under construction and that guests are dropped off next to dumpsters that are covered with a fence for the oceanfront ceremony spot. Everything else was beautiful though

The weekend of our wedding a nor'easter took place shutting the entire east coast down, with the exception of Florida. 35 wedding guests were unable to make it, and I was told that the force majeure clause was only meant to protect the Southernmost and that our funds would not be refunded. The events manager worked with us to allocate the funds to other items, but it still wasn't satisfying considering we left money "on the table" or unspent on the wedding and never received a refund. Adding insult to injury, their bartender had to be bribed to remove his tip jar from the table and they charged guests for some drinks.
With my overall comment out of the way, the food was great; the space was beautiful, and the event manager Jena was sweet and very helpful during all of the planning. Our guests were very pleased with the event, and Key West is a perfect setting for a wedding.
