My son's wedding 3/21/26
The wedding was incredible. Everyone had a fantastic time. From planning the wedding to the food tasting to discussing every detail, they were extremely accommodating. The outdoor ceremony was amazing. We had perfect weather and we had a horse drawn carriage which was incredible. It brought tears to my son's eyes as well as everyone else's when his lovely bride rode in the carriage and her father was waiting for her to walk up the aisle. Every detail from start to finish was meticulously planned out by the bride and her mother and discussed and carried out by the fantastic staff at Southern Hills. In addition, I hosted the rehearsal dinner at Southern Hills Plantation the night before the wedding. All of the food, both at the rehearsal dinner (which was a buffet) to the wedding itself which was a sit-down dinner was excellent. I highly recommend Southern Hills Plantation for weddings. It is an extremely good value for everything that is included in the ultimate wedding package which includes the ceremony, a dj, up lighting, the photographers, an officiant, a cake allowance as well as a floral allowance. The staff bent over backwards and the service was exemplary.
I want to thank the staff for all of their hard work for this beautiful wedding. These memories will last my son and my daughter-in-law a lifetime. -

Frances and Kim were amazing and made sure I didn't forget any small details. All my friends and family were amazed at how extravagant my wedding was. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. Frances Hamlett, our wedding coordinator, is truly second to none. Her attention to detail, her thoughtfulness, her dedication to her craft, and her reassuring presence made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. She wasn’t just a coordinator; she was a steady, guiding force—ensuring that everything was executed flawlessly while giving us the confidence that our day would be nothing short of extraordinary. And Kim—there are hardly words to describe the absolute powerhouse that she is. My Wedding
Southern Hills was the best decision I have ever made for my perfect wedding. They were super nice and on top of everything. Frances and Kim were so helpful, always responded very quickly and made all my dreams come true for my special day. I’m so thankful for them and all of southern hills staff for the amazing food and services. They were able to set up for my wedding the day before and truly helped out tremendously in ever way possible. I highly recommend this venue and staff to anyone looking to have the best wedding ever . -

We are very happy we found Southern Hills Plantation for our wedding reception. We met with Frances and after touring the clubhouse we fell in love with the atmosphere and beauty of this place. Frances and her team worked great with our personal wedding planner Lucia and we couldn't be happier. We chose the ultimate package and had our wedding planner coordinate with Frances so our special day went smooth and without a hitch. We want to thank Frances, Kim, and many more staff for really doing a phenomenal job and making this reception truly unforgettable. Everybody commented on how great the plated dinner was and how great the staff was serving. We also chose an open bar and many guest commented on how great the bartender made the drinks. Overall, the perfect day for us and we really appreciate everybody at Southern Hills Plantation.

It all started with meeting Frances Hamlett when we first started to plan our wedding. The team made every step of planning simple and easy. When our actual wedding day came, Fran, Irena, Kim & Jenna did a fantastic job of helping our day be as perfect as possible. Also, we had taken advantage of the onsite villas and Ashley and her team accommodated all of our families needs.

Exceeded Very High Expectations
I have really high expectations, which unfortunately leaves me disappointed quite a bit. But, our wedding at Southern Hills Plantation Club exceeded my very high expectations! In the months leading to the wedding day, Fran (director of food, beverage, and events) was very quick to respond to every email and was amenable to setting up multiple in-person meetings to go over our questions and reassure us that everything would be great. It's obvious she has years of knowledge and expertise under her belt by her suggestions and explanations of what we could expect on our big day. On the wedding day, Fran was such a comfort. She calmly directed the events of the day and made sure things were running smoothly. The other integral person was the banquet manager Kim, who has a precise and meticulous eye for detail. The day of our tasting, Kim was very patient and showed us different options for napkin folds, knowing the decor and the overall atmosphere were very important to us. On the wedding day, we have never seen the main dining room look more beautiful! Kim and her team did an amazing job! The table setting, glasses, napkins, favor boxes, and candles were all perfectly placed on the tables. Each table looked so elegant, and the room as a whole, made a true statement. Kim has a wealth of knowledge and expertise when it comes to managing large events, but she also has the biggest heart and truly puts the couple' happiness at the center of everything. It rained on our wedding day so we brought in a 30x60 tent. Kim rearranged the chairs from their usual format to look better due to a tent pole placement. Kim also carried my train so it wouldn't drag on the wet ground. She got soaking wet and hunched over to try to be as inconspicuous as possible, which probably hurt her back. But, Kim is selfless and will do whatever it takes to make sure the couple is happy. And, then there was the food! We didn't eat much at the wedding because all our guests kept coming to our table to congratulate us, but Kim packed up to-go boxes and we ate when we got home. We thought everything tasted delicious, and our guests have confirmed that--we keep hearing how wonderful the food was. Our wedding day was a truly perfect day, and so much of that is owed to the amazing staff at Southern Hills and the heart they put into planning events. I can't thank them enough and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with an exceptional staff. -

The team at Southern Hills was amazing. They truly made my vision come to life and took the time to sit down with us multiple times to go over everything. Not to mention that the package they offer for weddings is such a great deal with the vendors included...it took loads of stress off of me because I didn't have to go searching for reliable vendors. The staff also has a lot of experience with weddings, so they helped us navigate some of the more difficult decisions. The food is phenomenal and the views are spectacular, which resulted in some beautiful photos that we will cherish forever. There are also villas on site for getting ready, so I highly recommend renting those out for the bridal party and maybe some guests for a convenient spot to get ready/stay the night. I originally was not a fan of the layout inside, but it turned out to be PERFECT. The dance floor is in a separate area and allowed a lot of our older guests to continue their conversations at their table without being drowned out by the music. Special shoutout to all the work Frances and Kimberly did throughout our planning process...I was truly stress-free on my wedding day! I may be biased, but this was the best wedding I have ever been too ;) -

Southern Hills Plantation Club exceeded my daughter and son in laws Wedding Day expectations. As soon as they viewed the grounds where their outdoor ceremony would be overlooking the breathtaking golf course and grounds they knew this was their venue. Fran the coordinator at the venue made this experience seem flawless, she is not only personable but her experience and expertise were outstanding! Could not ask for better management and guidance. I never felt the need for a wedding planner as she was there every step of the way with her knowledge and guidance. The grounds are just spectacular, so well groomed. I defintely suggest the preferred vendor option as the vendors were fabulous and so easy to work with. We rented a villa which was lovely., but also there is a locker room downstairs that is just beautiful with a sitting area and plenty of room for a large wedding party to get ready. We utilized both the ladies and mens locker rooms with wedding party and family that traveled a great distance as the villa was used by the bride and her girls. I really feel the front porch was one of my favorite areas, as the brick and white columns gave the photographer such a nice area to photograph, now I understand why they did so many photos there. This day was so special and forever memorable. We will defintely be using this venue for future family events and dinners, all of the staff from her team leader Kim, not only a fabulous server but the organization and work she put into making sure the room looked beautiful was so appreciated, along with the other servers and the bartender, kitchen staff, just an amazing team effort done by all. Our family is forever grateful to Southern Hills event staff, very well done! Beautiful venue, beautiful people, you can not ask for more....... -

First let me start off by saying Fran and her crew were great! She was very responsive to my emails and answered every question that I had, even giving suggestions and advice when I needed it. The price for our wedding also included the vendors which was a plus and made it a lot easier since everything was in house. The only vendors that we had to search for was a videographer and decorator. Last minute we had quite a few people rsvp which changed our table situation, but we were accommodated with no problem and everyone had a great time. Pastor Dell Barnes officiated our wedding and he was AMAZING! Even gave us a surprise during the reception! The ceremony was outside and was beautiful. I brought a lot of diy items from home that the crew set up for me with no problem. For the reception the food was DELICIOUS! I only got a few bites in but everyone kept complimenting it, and did not hesitate to go for seconds! The only complaint is it ended too early! Our guest had such a great time and didn’t want to leave! Travis was our Dj and kept people dancing all night! I would 1000% recommend this venue! -

Absolutely Perfect Venue
Fran and her staff at southern hills went above and beyond what could have been expected. They were so accommodating and helpful in anything we needed and were prompt at answering any questions we had throughout our process. The food was incredible and the vendors we could choose from all flowed so seamlessly. Not to mention the views were gorgeous. Also the villas on-site were such a great addition and definitely made getting ready a breeze for the bridal party. Our wedding weekend was beautiful and perfect in every way. 100% recommend this venue to any bride. -

A dream come true
We got married on 2/12/22 and it was the most beautiful day! I felt little to no stress with having our day at Southern Hills. Their all inclusive deal is a dream come true with the BEST food, dj, florist and coordinator a bride could ask for. Everyone who attended won’t stop telling us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been too. Everything was truly perfect and we couldn’t recommend them more! -

My husband and I can't say enough amazing things about Southern Hills! The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere is so relaxing and peaceful which was perfect for our small intimate ceremony. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was extra special. They were so accommodating with all of our requests from last-minute dietary restrictions to special seating arrangements. They went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met and the day went on without a hitch. Thank you to Fran, Joey, their amazing chef, and staff for all of your time and efforts. Our experience was just phenomenal and we honestly wish we could do it all over again at Southern Hills! You guys are the best!

So my orginal wedding date was on 3.21.20- The country shut down due to covid on 3.16. Without the help of Frances- the food and bervage manger at Southern Hills- I do not think i would be sane today. She helpped me move everything- not just our reservation with her- but with all of our vendors- not once but TWICE. With no extra fees and nothing but positive things to say and help- Frances made my wedding dreams a reality. Her and her team were able to help set up all my DIY decorations, keep everyone on track- and she quickly replied to ALL my questions via email- whether it was 11am or 11pm. If you are looking for a stress free- easy all inclusive place- I would suggest this place 1000000%. -

Mr. & Mrs. David Cook Wedding
OMG amazing! Event Manager Frances was so amazing to work with from food tasting, floor plans ( actually pushing tables & chairs with me to ensure the best workable plan prior to my event. My initial wedding date had to be cancelled approximately 3.5 weeks prior because my husband had to have an unexpected surgery . She did not skip a beat to ensure me not to worry in regard to rescheduling at no additional charges. So, my husband was admitted to the hospital the day prior to our final date. The day of the wedding we did not find out that he would not be discharged until the day after our wedding. At that point everything was so fluid. Frances was nearly in tears with me and began brainstorming with me for the best solution to make this wedding a 'go' inspire of. So the pastor and I went to the hospital and he married us there. Then then we returned to the venue for our ceremony as planned. My son escorted me and I read my personal vows that I had written and read to him in the hospital. Our guest shared how beautiful and touching the ceremony. And OMG again, ALL the guest raven about the food. Southern Hill must have the absolute best chef in America. The venue was awesome, they were professional and personally involved. I had a 10 ++ experience. Highly recommend this venue, manager & staff . The price was well worth it. -

The Perfect Destination and Service

Our wedding day went off beautifully without the slightest issue, down to the littlest of details. The venue itself is stunning. The golf course is perfectly manicured- (that is coming from my husband who plays golf in every single city we travel to). It was a dream come true. I know it wouldn’t have been possible without you and your team at Southern Hills. The service from your team was exceptional. You answered every single one of my 100’s of questions (seriously) and were by far the most flexible venue from the many we had reviewed. Thank you for going above and beyond and making our day magical! We will absolutely never forget you and your hospitality.

Amazing Venue!
This is a DREAM venue, it’s gorgeous inside and out. Frances was the best - from start to finish, she was always super quick to respond and answer all of my questions (I usually had a lot, lol). The day of the wedding, both her and Joey were so great to work with. Guests commented on how beautiful the venue is, how great the food was, and how smooth & organized everything went. We are SO glad we found this “hidden gem” for our big day. -

We got the package where they have a list of approved vendors, which were truly all great ones. The food was delicious and all my guests loved it. The view at sunset is perfect. We absolutely loved working with Fran, Joey, and Will at Southern Hills Plantation Club for our wedding. My family purchased the ultimate wedding package and it was so easy to choose from high quality vendors. The team went above and beyond to help us with the food tastings and the decor we envisioned. Our wedding was so beautiful and so much fun. The decor, food, drinks, music, service, and time management were all amazing and just as expected thanks to their awesome team and vendors. I even witnessed a server helping out with a guest's infant so the mom could eat her meal. My elderly family members said they got the royal treatment when they were assisted getting their meals from the buffet line. This team goes above and beyond and we are so glad we chose Southern Hills Plantation Club for our wedding day. We highly recommend this special place for any event! -

What an amazing experience
We had our wedding there on 9/19/19 and it was simply amazing! Communication with Frances and Joey were great! They always were professional and soooo accommodating. I was simply amazed how much love we felt from the staff before the event and after. I truly felt like a VIP through the whole time not just the day of the wedding. I truly regret having a day of coordinator who actually was almost I a way of this professional team. If you get to talk to Frances you will know that she LOVES what she does and she is amazing at it! She knows the venue, she knows the process and pays attention to every little detail! I feel like giving her a hug every time I think of her :) You have to at least visit this place! I didn't want to have a wedding on a golf course etc but when we saw it we simply had our breath taken away! Plus we were so grateful of being able to rent near buy condo's to get ready at and for family to stay in. They were amazing! -

Everything was perfect on our wedding day thanks to the beautiful venue! Frances and Joey were so helpful every step of the way as they led the event. Frances responded to my abundance of emails within hours throughout the entire wedding process. They made sure to accommodate all of our requests to ensure that everything went as we imagined. The food was delicious and there was more than enough to make sure everyone left full! Frances even packed up our leftovers at the end of the night and had them ready for us. The ceremony on the lawn was absolutely breathtaking and the balcony allowed for a beautiful view of the sunset. Stop searching for the perfect venue and book at Southern Hills! -

Rachel Sent on 03/07/2018Words CAN'T explain my treatment, as a bride, at Southern Hills!! My wedding day was one of the best days of my life! I recommend Southern Hills above all. If your looking for a venue, Trust me, this is the place to go !! :) It's beautiful inside & out ! If u get the all inclusive package, you will not be disappointed bc they give u options to some of the best amenities in central Florida for your day. Every employee who works here (every!!) is kind, sweet & has an awesome personality. Frances, the coordinator, was by my side through every step of the way -everyday!! Anytime, I had a problem, question or concern, Frances was attentive & helped guide me through it all. I love this woman, she's amazing !! It's a long story but we switched venues. We're so glad bc we saved $15,000 by doing so -We found Southern Hills ultimate package was so much cheaper than most venues & their package is all inclusive. When we visited Southern Hills, I fell in love ! It's elegant and beautiful. I had to change my date bc my Mawmaw's very sick. In the end, we ended up planning the whole wedding in only 6 weeks. This included sending out invites, the cake, decor & flowers. I wouldn't reccomend this but Frances assured me w/her help, it's not going to be a problem. She is so helpful! Without her, joe or Nick, I would've been a hot mess! I was treated like a princess from the moment I walked through the door up until the moment I left. What floors me is they had a wedding the day after mine! I was treated by ALL the staff as if I was the ONLY BRIDE IN THE WORLD !! I met Nick & Joe the night before the ceremony. Not only r they gorgeous but so sweet & have serious decorating skills! They took the decorations I brought in & turned the place into a fairytale ! The day of, they made sure every last detail was perfect before the ceremony started! They even ran to the store & bought bobby pins to pin my hair up! Nick joe & Fran will make ur dreams come true!!!! I love this place!! :)

After visiting many different venues from Clermont to Clearwater, FL. we are so happy that we decided on Southern Hills. From the wedding ceremony that was held out on the green looking down the fairway with a beautiful sunset to the incredible food. Everything was perfect. Yes, I am the dad who footed the bill and a former New Yorker who said everything was perfect. Their service was outstanding and Francis is the Director of Food and Beverage who is also your wedding planner from heaven. They handle every single aspect of the function flawlessly. Nothing to ask for, always on top of things or a step ahead. Talk about taking the headache out of planning your wedding, they know the ABC's of how to have an incredible wedding. We must also give Chef a 10+. His food presentations and flavors were absolutely perfect. We had a lot of family and friends who are used to eating in lots of fancy high end restaurants around the country so the bar was set quite high. I am so happy to say that the food was incredible and everyone was thoroughly impressed. It was also a great advantage to have the ability to utilize the condos that are onsite for the wedding party and family.
If you are looking for an incredible venue, with people that actually individually care about your happiness and the success of your wedding look no further. Give Francis a call. Keep up the great work and thank you for those incredible memories that we now have. -

We just had our daughter’s Quinceañera here on 01-21-2018, and we cannot be happier with Frances and her staff!! They are all amazing! I would definitely recommend this beautiful venue, delicious food, and very easy people to work with. Thank you for making this special moment for our daughter a night she will never forget! -

Megan Sent on 01/21/2018This was the perfect venue and Fran was fantastic! From the start of the planning process Fran was always available to support and answer questions. Her vendor suggestions helped us find wonderful quality vendors to make our big day amazing! Southern Hills was beautiful inside and out and that flexibility helped when our weather wasn’t the best. All of our guests enjoyed the facility and how everything flowed from one room into another. The on site villa was beautiful and my bridesmaids and I had the opportunity to stay the night and get ready on site which eliminated stressful travel day of! If you are looking for a beautiful facility with options to truly make your wedding Day your own thenI highly recommend Southern Hills and working with Fran!

Paige Sent on 12/15/2017This venue has everything you are looking for. The outdoor ceremony overlooking the golf course was perfection. I defended a swooping staircase before heading down the aisle. The reception was perfection. In addition to the great team (thanks Joey & Frances!!!), the venue setup flows perfectly. The bar room is great for cocktail hour and appetizers. It has a beautiful balcony attached to it. Guests had a blast watching the sunset and glimpsing at the final moments of the photographer session. The ballroom allows for a variety of table set ups. It can fit larger groups or can provide an intimate space for some smaller weddings. The attaching room was great for dancing. In my opinion, guests enjoy dancing more when they don't feel like people are sitting and watching them. The separate dance floor area was ideal. It also allowed people to have quieter spaces where they did not have to shout over music. The food is perfections and delicious. We were blown away by it. Frances, the coordinator there, answered all of my many questions and emails. She was very patient and helpful. This venue also had adjacent condos that can be rented. This was great to stay the night before the wedding and provided an ideal space to get ready on the day of.

Nicole Sent on 11/13/2017By far the best place to have a wedding . I got married here November 11th,2017 and the staff had my wedding above and beyond what I imagined my wedding would be like. It was the definition of perfect. Frances was my wedding coordinator and was extremely flexible and was on top of everything she was absolutely amazing and is extremely good at what she does . Everything was included in the wedding package from the food to the lighting and DJ . Extremely affordable. . I could never of dreamed of my wedding being as perfect as I was. If you want to have a remeberable wedding you should most definitely consider Southern hills . I had my guests even tell me it was the most elegant and beautiful wedding they have ever been to. By far the best venue!

Tara Sent on 01/25/2017I just got married on Saturday January 21, 2017. I could't have asked for a better day. The wedding was perfect. Fran was great and very accommodating. Besides my minor meltdown about the lost boutonniere it was fantastic. Fran went above and beyond to make sure my fairy tale wedding was amazing. The main water line broke in the city of Brooksville so we didn't have running water at the venue. Fran should have shut the place down and she didn't. They literally had a fire truck outside filling 10 gallon jugs and filling the bathroom toilets and had 2.5 gallon jugs of water by the sinks for hand washing. I had no idea that it even happened. My guests had nothing but positive comments. They loved the food, the view, and some of my guests even played golf there that morning and said that was amazing. I got everything I asked for an even more! We are still talking about it how great it was. -

Stacy Sent on 12/20/2016We were very pleased with this venue. We booked our wedding about 11 months prior to the event and feel we got a great value for our money. The venue is beautiful and the food was delicious. Everything turned out perfectly for us. Fran was very helpful with everything and gave us good directions on wedding related options. Fran was able to troubleshoot any last minute issues on ur wedding day so we didn't need to worry about anything. She was flexible with scheduling and extremely attentive to us and our guests. I would recommend this venue to any bride looking for a glamourous venue for a lower price.
