    Excellent, amazing, and Magnificent

    Stephyn and her team at Southern Charm Events are simply the best! From the first meeting to helping us gather everything up after the wedding they were there for us every step of the way. Our wedding was supposed to take place April 4, 2020 but like most couples we had to reschedule to September 19, 2020. Stephyn and her team took care of all the vendors and getting everything moved to the new date. Stephyn is the sweetest person you will ever meet and her team is magnificent! I didn’t have to worry about anything on the wedding day and just got to enjoy it! Future brides do yourself a favor and hire Stephyn and Southern Charm Events!

    Dream Come True

    Stephyn and her team are incredible!! From the very beginning of our wedding planning process, Stephyn was there for all of my questions. She never hesitated to respond to my emails and millions of questions (way too soon, I might add)! Every aspect of our wedding was planned and thought of. Madison was so great!! She even let my parents come to our month of meeting and tour the venue and ask all of their questions. The day of, we had Madison and an intern there with us every step of the way! They set everything up and I had to worry about NOTHING but myself getting ready. The whole team worked to create our dream wedding and a stress-free day! We were treated as valued friends, not just another customer or paycheck. It is worth every penny to have them on your team and create your perfect day!

    Stephyn and her team are absolutely amazing. They did an amazing job decorating our venue while I spent the day getting pampered with my bridesmaids. They handled some small issues with other vendors. They were they to guide us and keep everything on track. I highly recommend these ladies.

    So I got the day of/month of package and let me tell you - it is worth every penny! Sarah was so wonderful - I cannot even being to explain how amazing she is! Everything to the last detail was done perfectly and she helped me so much along the way. Even after it was all said and done she was quick to answer any questions I had! I cannot recommend them enough! A+ service!!

    We selected the full package with SCE and it was the best decision of our entire wedding planning process. My fiancé never understood the point behind a wedding planner, but now that we are 3 months out, he raves about how this was the best decision we made. Stephyn is a perfectionist and gets the job done. Can't wait to see our final product.

    I worked closely with a few of these women and they were all professional, easy to reach, and helpful. I only got Southern Charm Events for month-of/ day-of services, but they helped me get organized and made my whole week and day-of so much smoother and easier, I'm not sure day-of I could have managed it without them, there were so many things I didn't know to sort out myself!

    Fantastic service! I only hired Southern Charm for Day of services. I wish I would have used them for so much more!! But such a good investment! I told Stephyn what I wanted and she did it! On the big day they didn't bother me with anything and they made everything perfect from the decorating to coordinating everything and keeping us on time. They made our day perfect and beautiful!

    As the mother of the bride, I was SO fortunate to have Stephyn Spears helping to plan our wedding. She assisted us a great deal before the wedding, and she made the actual wedding day a joy! I was able to relax with my daughter and enjoy the day as Stephyn decorated the venue with her wonderful crew. The actual wedding and reception flowed extremely smoothly because of her superb planning ahead of time and her handling of all the small details during the reception. I had so much fun at the reception because of Stephyn. I did not have to stress about anything! Thanks so much Stephyn!

    I would never hire another wedding planner if I had to do it all over again!! Stephyn was outstanding and calmed me down when things went haywire!!! She was always a text or call away!! Southern Charm Events is FANTABULOUS from the start down to the second at the end of the day of the wedding!!!

    If you are thinking about hiring Southern Charm Events, I would fully recommend them with absolutely no hesitations. Stephyn and her team are professional and positive. They keep the day so fun and lighthearted, while making sure everything is done flawlessly. Stephyn and her team are also really flexible. There isn’t a task or need they aren’t willing to tackle to make sure the day is perfect for you. They customize the packages to your needs – but they go SO far above and beyond. Stephyn is truly a friend you can trust throughout your wedding. From setting up every detail (even one’s you’ve forgotten about), to fixing your bustle when it tears – there isn’t a single thing she won’t do! After our reception, my dad told my mom, “Stephyn was the best money we spent,” and of course we all agree!

    Our day was perfect thanks to Stephyn! She went above and beyond on everything. If there was a problem she handled it. I didn't have any worries the day of the wedding or have to talk to anyone everything went through her and it was magical and stress free! Any question I had all I had to do was text her and she handled it. She saved me a fortune with a overpriced DJ trying to charge us way to much. She has a great relationship with tons of vendors! Will be using her for any future events we have and highly recommend her to anyone.

    Caitlin was a joy to work with and handled everything -including my stressed out mother. I would highly recommend Southern Charm for your wedding or event!

    For a day of coordinator i found stephyn and assistances be very helpful. I personally wanted a planner to help me stay in budget however this was not accomplished with southern charm events (SCE) unfortunately. Other bumps were experienced however i feel they were made on account to a learning curve as SCE is a newer business. Stephyn is a good source for wedding advice and guidance and does try hard to fit brides needs

    My husband and I are extremely displeased with the service Southern Charm Events provided. I sent an email to Stephyn (the owner) one month before our wedding voicing our concerns, to no avail. She guaranteed we would be pleased with the service her team would provide, boy was she wrong! Southern Charm Events was nowhere to be found when we needed the corsages and boutonnieres pinned on our family members, so we had to do this ourselves. It was embarrassing to have our grandparents trying to pin them on themselves even though this was a duty in the Southern Charm Events contract that they were supposed to perform. My husband and I were almost the last people to receive our food during the reception. Our plates were not ready, again, something Southern Charm Events ensured us would happen. Brooke changed her dress three times during the ceremony/reception. Unprofessional! She even steamed a dress for 30 minutes in the only main floor bathroom – my poor grandmother had to find my mom to ask if it was okay to turn the shower off! Southern Charm Events hardly knew the timeline, my husband and I had to correct them multiple times on the order of events.

    After these duties, and several others, on the signed contract were not completed by Southern Charm Events, my husband and I sent our complaints via email to Stephyn. We finally set up a meeting up with her and Brooke to discuss them in person. We were met by Stephyn’s fiancé, who is the “silent partner” (???), Stephyn, and Brooke. The owner’s fiancé ran the whole meeting, Stephyn was completely disengaged, and would only look up from her laptop when she had something to say (yell). Southern Charm Events had nothing but terrible excuses and insulting reasons why the various services were not provided. Stephyn is one of the most unprofessional, unapologetic, and unreasonable owners of a service company we have ever dealt with. We DO NOT recommend utilizing them for your BIG day.

    Worst vendor we hired and totally let us down

    We want to first say that we worked with Addy in Dallas and not the OKC team. My husband and I were not planning a large wedding (only 100 guests) and this was for our RECEPTION ONLY since we got married internationally and did not have Addy help with that. Before meeting Addy we’d already hired our photographer, set our date, and knew what venue we wanted.
    At our first meeting Addy went over everything we could expect from her since we were doing the Pop of Charm package, which included a monthly checklist of things that needed to be completed, help with finding all of our vendors, meetings coordinated with vendors (this was just the basics). I would like to note that at our initial meeting the main vendors we were concerned about were: dj, floral, hair/makeup, transportation. Addy told us that she had MANY options for each of these and would be glad to help us. When time came to finding these vendors it took asking several times for recommendations and then she would only provide 1 name. The only hair and makeup recommendation was we’re guessing a “friend” who had no portfolio and was rude when contacted. As far as the DJ goes she gave us again 1 recommendation and this was a third party company that to be honest harassed both me and my husband with phone calls and text daily until we had to block their multiple numbers. She did not help with getting quotes or setting up meeting except for the caterer (which included quotes that were FAR OUTSIDE our budget), linen, transportation (until she just quit and told us to contact places when we asked too many ?s). We only hired her to plan the reception and kept the plans fairly simple from the start, which is the only reason that we kept giving her chances to prove our doubts wrong (THIS WAS OUR FAULT). We should've known when she never showed up at the ONLY meeting we had for the location that this was not a good fit. Each meeting after that was always very awkward and from then nothing went as anticipated. Luckily we had free time to schedule all of our own vendor meetings with the dj (which we found and she never attended a meeting), floral (she showed up 30 minutes late), location (to this day we do not think she ever visited the space before our event), hair/makeup (we had to do all the research for this vendor). We could go on and on about how disappointed we are in everything.
    As far as the monthly check ins we received ONE in August but nothing after that. We were the ones actually contacting Addy to check in and see if there was anything that needed to be done after going months without hearing from her.
    At our final meeting the owner of SC showed up which relieved some of the stress we had been under leading up to our event. Stephen let us know that she would be assisting Addy with all setup and day of task that needed to be done. She told us that going forward Addy should be the only one contacting vendors and getting all final invoices (hahahaha this was such a lie). We had to BEG for invoices from almost every vendor and even then she waited until the last minute to request them. Our caterer invoice came back completely wrong and when we asked Addy to have the corrections made she had the nerve to tell us that we should contact them if we want things changed. Addy knew that leading up to our reception we would be out of the country at our CEREMONY for 10 days and we would need everything before we left. Due to her waiting until the last minute we were rushing the day before we left to contact vendors for changes and make payments. We hired a wedding planner to take stress away from us leading up to the events and instead hiring Addy from Southern Charm caused us even more stress. When it came time for our actual reception we both did our best to be optimistic since WE had planned everything out and given specific instructions for the entire layout, seating chart, bars, ect. As we looked around we noticed tables were not in the correct order, signs we'd had custom made were no where to be found, lights on the patio were not on (we paid $400 for these and ended up plugging them in ourselves with only an hour left of the event). Again we could go on and on about how DISAPPOINTED we were in everything. Luckily this was NOT our Ceremony.

    When hiring a wedding planner PLEASE call previous clients. We did not do this and know if we had we wouldn’t have hired Addy.
