My wife and I had initially tried to plan our wedding on our own. We had developed the macro picture in our mind perfectly, but there were still many many small details and logistics that were causing us enormous amounts of stress.
If you are currently planning a wedding and are feeling overwhelmed, Trent and Ashley are the perfect fit for wedding planners! They put us at ease within the first five minutes of our initial meeting and finally took the stress from months of planning and organizing on our own off of our shoulders. We wished we had contacted them much sooner!
With our Day Of Coordination Package, they provided the needed guidance and structure in order to execute a truly unforgettable, organized and seamless wedding day. In the weeks leading up to the big day they gave us a detailed final “to do” list to help us ensure that no stone was left unturned and they took over the duties of calling all of our vendors to establish themselves as the main point of contact. The package also included a final meeting with Something Fabulous and the manager of our venue; This meeting provided us with the opportunity to come together as a team in order to review our wedding day itinerary to make sure all logistics were in place.
Our favorite aspects of working with Trent and Ashley were their fabulous personalities and their abilities to maintain structure with the wedding party and guests; while also making everyone laugh and enjoy the process! We were also incredibly impressed with their decorating and how they were able to bring our vision of the wedding to reality and make it better than we could have imagined!

You always hear people say their wedding was the perfect day, and now I completely understand what they mean! Hiring Something Fabulous Weddings was the best decision we made when we were planning our big day. Our lead planner, Trent Crumpler, and his crew were the key reason our day felt so fun and seamless! We got married this May at the Museum of Life + Science in Durham, and I learned about SF because of the museum's recommended provider list. After one intro call, I knew they would be a great fit for us, and now, I truly don't believe we could have done this without them. There are so many moving pieces, and Trent was the mastermind behind why our wedding was so smooth and stress-free.
My husband and I really got to relax and enjoy our day because we knew we were in great hands. We wanted our day to have a lot of personality, and we lucked out with Trent because he had the personality to match it! He is so fun and supportive, which made the process and our day even brighter. Everyone loved him, and he fit right in with our entire wedding party! I'm also very thankful for his opinions during the rental appointment because decision fatigue is real, and he has great taste!
Before the wedding, Trent and the Something Fabulous team also helped us with a big crisis when our original photographer abruptly closed their business and left 100+ brides with no answers and no backup solution. He immediately jumped on the phone with me to listen, understand the situation and game plan with good next steps and solutions. Trent quickly reached out to his network to continue to help problem solve, and he actually connected me with a fantastic photographer (Rose Trail Images) referral who we loved and booked for the wedding!

I truly could not imagine a better team to help us bring our garden disco wedding dreams to life!
My husband and I got married on May 15, 2026, and when we first reached out to Trent and Ashley at Something Fabulous in January, we had only booked our venue, photographer, DJ, and had a Pinterest board full of ideas. We originally planned to hire only a day-of coordinator, but after our first consultation with Trent, we immediately knew we needed Something Fabulous to help execute our vision.
We chose an a la carte package with event management and design, which was perfect for our budget while still giving us exactly the support we needed. From the start, Trent and Ashley went above and beyond, helping with design meetings, attending vendor appointments with us, and offering advice that made the entire process feel manageable and exciting instead of stressful.
On the wedding day itself, they were incredible. Everything flowed so seamlessly that our guests were genuinely amazed. As a very “Type B” bride, I expected at least a little chaos, but Trent and Ashley made the entire day feel effortless, calm, and organized from start to finish.
Beyond being amazing planners, they became confidants, problem-solvers, and such a comforting presence throughout the process. We truly cannot imagine our wedding day without them and cannot recommend Something Fabulous enough.

Trent is literally amazing!!! Our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect thanks to him and Kate. The attention to detail, responsiveness, attentiveness, and overall fabulous nature of this team is truly unmatched. We opted for the "event planning" service offered (similar to day-of-coordinator) but Trent provided SO much more than just day of coordination. We worked closely together for months leading up to the wedding and his team went above and beyond making sure every detail was perfect. Since our first meeting leading up to wedding day, Trent was so easy to work with and my husband and I felt no stress at all wedding weekend thanks to him. Trent and Ashley were amazing from the start. They took so much pressure and stress off our plates so we could truly enjoy the day. On the day of, we had Ashley and Ariel, and they were on top of everything, helpful with ripped pants and dresses, and supportive when needed. Bridesmaids and guests said that this was the most well run, timed wedding they had been apart of and less stressful wedding they have ever seen. Guests also noted (and we felt it) how truly happy and relaxed the bride and groom were all day and we give most of that credit to Something Fabulous. Words cannot express how grateful we are for Ashley and Trent of Something Fabulous! We live in TX, so we were concerned about the planning process for a wedding in Raleigh. But Something Fabulous made the process easy for us. They made our dream wedding a reality, exceeding all expectations and making the entire journey stress-free and enjoyable. Their organizational skills are unparalleled. From creating a meticulous timeline to managing multiple vendors, everything ran seamlessly. Their creativity was incredible—they took our design ideas and turned them into a stunning, cohesive vision that had the guests in awe. They don't do empty lip service; they will stop and tell you if you're going down the wrong path or suggest better alternatives to achieve the same result. They had a great preferred vendors list, and we recommend using those vendors. We loved and had no communication issues with anyone from their list. Trust their expertise and experience! Ashley and Trent went above and beyond for us. Due to the hectic day, I (the bride) ended up not getting any wedding cake. I was bummed out, but a couple months later, I received a wonderful surprise. Trent reached out to our cake vendor to have our another, smaller cake shipped all the way to Texas! That level of thoughtfulness isn't required nor guaranteed with other planners. If you’re looking for wedding planners who are passionate, dedicated, and treat your day as if it were their own, look no further than Something Fabulous. They are worth every penny, and we cannot recommend them highly enough! -

Working with Something Fabulous was the best decision we made for our wedding! Trent and Rachel were very supportive, helpful and organized leading up to our wedding. They kept us on track for key milestones, gave great suggestions as we were looking for specific ideas and vendors, and were so supportive with vendor communication and logistics leading up to and at the wedding. Rachel and Tommy were our day of support and they helped us feel at ease and covered every detail so that we didn't have to really keep track of anything. Having worked in events, it was amazing to be on the side of experiencing a very well run event. Not having to make any decisions and having everything pre arranged for the weekend of the wedding was amazing. They even made sure we had a few minutes to ourselves where we got to eat and enjoy the food! We worked mostly with Ashley through our planning process, but also got the chance to work with Trent early on. They are both phenomenal human beings who really care about helping you create an incredible experience. We did the partial planning option which was perfect for us. We knew we could do a lot of the initial coordination with our vendors but needed some structure and guidance to help us get started in terms of vendor selection and understanding how to break down our budget. The tools and resources they provided made it easy for us to select an INCREDIBLE vendor team, and Ashley was available for questions throughout. The final few months leading up to the wedding Ashley took over the coordination with our vendors which allowed us to focus on getting ready for the big day. Ashley and her team who were with us on our wedding day did a fantastic job making sure everything was exactly as we’d hoped. I cannot express how FANTASTIC everyone at Something Fabulous Weddings and Events was to work with. My husband and I went into wedding planning with NO IDEA what we were doing, and Trent and Ashley were so patient and so helpful and did everything they could to ensure that our wedding went perfectly. And I mean perfectly! The entire day of the wedding we (the couple) were stress free and happy, and if anything did go wrong, we had no idea. Trent and Ashley were also AMAZING at really taking our vague ideas of what we wanted and turning them into a full blown vision of the perfect Tangled themed wedding. From décor to seating charts, they were always providing the best suggestions. They also went above and beyond to suggest ways that we could be more budget friendly and still keep our vision the way we wanted it! When we first started our planning process we were stressing about where to even begin when looking for vendors, and all that stress vanished when we were provided with a curated list of vendors based on our budget and vision for the wedding. This saved us SO much time and stress, and really let us focus on the details instead of spending hours reading every review for every local vendor. Ashley and Trent were my day-of-coordinators and they were an amazing duo to work with! We were originally supposed to have our wedding on November 2020 but had to reschedule it twice and they were so understanding and accommodating about it. They were really responsive throughout the whole process and made sure everything was set before the day of the wedding day. On the day of the wedding, they were super organized and made everything run smoothly. If there were any issues or problems, I didn't know about it because they were so good about resolving and dealing with it. I was a DIY bride so I had a lot of decorations that I made and they did an amazing job setting everything up like I wanted. -

I had a double wedding with my sister and her husband, and Trent and Ashley handled it like the pros they are. I was nervous that the logistics for a double wedding would be difficult to plan, but Trent and Ashley made it look easy! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect despite being in the middle of a pandemic. All of their design ideas were super helpful and brought together our vision for the wedding day. They were flexible when we decided to postpone the wedding reception and were very professional in their communication. Trent and Ashley were the secret to our successful wedding! We hired them for day-of coordination/event management. We were immediately impressed by how easy they were to talk to and how detail-oriented they were. Even when we were many months out from our wedding, they were incredibly communicative, and they were understanding and flexible when we had to move our wedding date due to COVID. Once we were a few months out from the wedding, we had a thorough final details meeting where we talked through all the little things—everything from ceremony plans to what kind of napkin fold we wanted at the reception! We used a venue with a very short window for set-up, and they coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure everything was set up in record time and even picked up our cake for us! The whole day, they were working behind the scenes to make sure everything went according to plan, and I didn’t feel like I had to worry at all—they knew what needed to be done much better than I did! Ultimately, everything went fabulously due to their incredible work. I can’t recommend them highly enough. -

Stop reading this review and book these planners! Best decision of our wedding by far! The day of, we didn't have to lift a single finger because of them! Our whole bridal party got to relax and drink mimosas while they worked their butts off and made our wedding dreams come true! 🥰
In the weeks leading up to our wedding they were very responsive to every email, and took care of contacting all our vendors. Trent and Ashley were patient and understanding when we decided to change our layout 3 times. Trent went to our venue with us to help pick out furniture for our rental space, go over our layout and had great input to help with all of our decisions. I have horrible indecisiveness and Trent was so incredibly helpful with this!
We met with Trent multiple times virtually and in person and we felt so at ease and knew Something Fabulous was the perfect fit and they are incredibly well priced. They also have great vendor recommendations and connections (shout-out to our DJ, Willis, at Willis J Entertainment!)
ALSO. The bustle on my dress busted and the second it happened both Trent and Ashley were right there with a repair kit helping me fix it and kept me from panicking! I can't say it enough. BOOK.THEM.NOW!

Dream Wedding Coordinator
If we could give Something Fabulous Weddings a higher rating than a five, we would do so in a heartbeat! We had the great fortune of working with Trent for our wedding on May 21, 2022 in Raleigh and we just have to say that he is an absolute gem! We immediately clicked with him when we first met via zoom and knew the days leading up to the wedding and the day itself were going to be as stress free as possible. Trent answered all of our questions, hopped on several phone/zoom calls whenever we needed it (including a call with the mother of one of the brides), and met up with us when we came to town. When it came to the wedding weekend, Trent made sure to check in with us and always asked if we needed anything. Trent brought along his fantastic assistant Kari who was just as much of a gem as Trent! Kari also made sure to check in with both of us and even calmed me down when I was getting really nervous as the ceremony was starting. She made sure I was hydrated and staying cool as it was 95 degrees the day of our wedding. Trent and Kari made sure we were sticking to the timeline throughout the night and we never had to worry about anything (we could just enjoy our day). At the end of the night Trent graciously packed up our car with all of our decorations and even drove us back to the hotel so we didn't have to walk. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator to work with. Trent and Kari are the dream team! -

These two made my wedding day an absolute success and I cannot recommend them enough. The number of things they take off your plate and handle with such ease was truly remarkable. Even things I thought I could handle - nope, they just swoop in. As a result of Covid, our wedding was postponed twice and ultimately our plans changed from having a wedding and reception to having an event to celebrate our elopement. Trent, from Something Fabulous, was there for support and advice throughout all of the changes. He promptly responded to any questions that we had and met with us several times virtually and in-person to make sure that we were all on the same page. In addition, Trent was highly organized and professional. He worked with us to create a timeline before our event and did a fantastic job of ensuring that the timeline was followed on the night of the event. I hired Something Fabulous as partial planners. They helped me choose some vendors including the perfect fit officiant for us. They understood my vision and brought it to life. Ashley and Trent were absolutely incredible to work with. We knew from the first time we met them that they were the right fit for our needs. They are two best friends and complement one another in all the perfect ways. They are fun, responsive, organized, and truly experts in this field. Not to mention so affordable compared to others in this market. We went with the full wedding package and they delivered plus more! Given Covid-19 they went above and beyond to organize and handle all of our vendor needs when we had to postpone. We had regular meetings and updates along the way. Unfortunately, we ended up cancelling our wedding due to Covid-19 and other life circumstances. Even after a year of this mess they continued to show up and never stopped advocating for us in the end. Trent & Ashley literally saved our wedding day! with less than a month before our wedding, our wedding planner decided to be a no-show for our walk-through and we were left without anyone. We found Trent & Ashley and they swooped in to save the day. They met with us the next day and somehow not only organized everything we wanted but helped us make the event even more than we could have dreamed of. They were optimistic and upbeat but helped us stay level-headed and within budget. Seriously the BEST team we could have gotten and we are SO thankful for them!!! -

Trent and Ashley have been absolute life savers during our entire wedding experience. We were looking for a day of coordinator, but ended up going with the partial planning package they offer and it’s the best thing we did! They think of every detail and make the wedding planning process simple. Unfortunately due to Covid, we had to postpone our wedding and decided to still get married on our original wedding date, but ended up having to postpone our small Covid wedding a week and Trent and Ashely were there through it all! They made the whole process so simple for us during such a confusing time and we can’t be more thankful. If you’re even considering a planner, Trent and Ashley are the ones! Ashley and Trent of Something Fabulous were our lifeline during wedding planning and on our wedding day! Since our original wedding date was right when Covid struck, we had to adjust our date and our wedding plan significantly but Ashley and Trent were there every step of the way supporting us and helping us think of creative ideas to still make our day everything we dreamed of. I don't think we would have stayed sane without them, truly! They are both so kind, smart, fun and detail-oriented - everything on our day went off without a hitch. Our family and friends were super impressed with their professionalism, eye for decor (they arranged all of our decorations day of and worked with all vendors) and positive attitude. My now husband and I felt like they were great friends who happened to be amazing wedding professionals! I am a little high strung (it's true) and they helped me visualize the day, create timelines and plans that allowed me to relax and go with the flow. I highly recommend this company, don't hesitate to book no matter size or type of wedding - this team is super flexible and will make your day perfect!!!! -

I honestly don't know what I would have done without Ashley and Trent! My May 2nd wedding was cancelled and we last minute ended up having two weddings in one weekend (one on Friday and one on Saturday) at a different venue. Although there were fewer guest at each event, both events were full out weddings with multiple vendors, music, seated dinners, etc. I had planned on them being "day of coordinators" for my original wedding, but without even asking, they jumped in and took on both of my events. I didn't have to think about a thing leading up to the weekend or during the events. They were with me the ENTIRE weekend, working all day and night Friday and Saturday to make sure everything was perfect. Any hiccup we had, they figured it out quickly and had a solution before I even knew there was an issue. Not to mention they navigated through the whole COVID situation with such ease. They were anything but "day of coordinators" to me. They were absolute life savors! I can't express enough how much you need this team to be part of your special day! -

My husband and I got married in Durham this past summer. We hired Ashley & Trent for 'day of' wedding planning services, but they provided much more than that. From acting as consultants as we prepared for the big day, to running our rehearsal, to checking on us throughout wedding day --Ashley & Trent truly went above and beyond for us. What I really appreciated was that they took such great care of us (bride & groom), but also our family members (parents, grandparents, etc.) and worked professionally with our other vendors. With their help, I was able to relax and enjoy the moment - trusting that they had everything under control. I can't recommend Something Fabulous enough! -

The perfect wedding coordinators!
We hired Something Fabulous as month-of coordinators for our May 4th wedding and are SO glad we did! Trent and Ashley were incredible – fun, totally on top of things, professional, and easygoing throughout the entire process. After our first meeting with them, my husband and I felt 1000X less stressed. They went above and beyond to make sure all details were considered and taken care of, and communicated with all of our vendors extensively to ensure that everything went as smoothly as possible. Despite it pouring rain during our tent reception and some issues with venue flexibility, our wedding went off without a hitch. I truly believe that Ashley and Trent made the difference by their expert coordinating/communicating, as well advocating for us when necessary. Everyone loved them – our vendors, our parents, the bridal party, and, of course, us. Without them we probably would have ended up getting married naked in a field or something. HIRE THEM! They are worth every penny and then some! -

We used Something Fabulous as the day of coordinator for our New Year’s Eve wedding. They did an amazing job from start to finish. They really went above and beyond just the day of. They were worth five times what I paid! I never thought I'd be the bride that forgot to bring the marriage license - thank goodness Ashley was willing to drive 20 minutes back to the hotel so the show could go on! They discreetly made the whole event go so smoothly without ever getting in the way, and I never had to worry about a thing. From taking over picture taking when we forgot to cut the cake before the photographer left, to buying more cups when we were running low, they were always a step ahead of anything that could have stressed me out. One of the best wedding decisions I made! -
Jim Sent on 07/30/2018If you are planning a wedding, I heartily recommend Something Fabulous Weddings! During our long engagement, my wife and I (control freaks both) went back and forth about whether to have a large event to celebrate the actual event. Both of us had been married before and had considered throwing a big party sometime later in the year. But for some reason, with six weeks to go, we decided to have a reception on the wedding day. We had a guest list with more than 300 people on it, and we had identified a venue, but the venue was not in any sense a traditional one, so it came with no ready infrastructure available to support the event. Worse still, it was outside. So, less than six weeks before the big day, we had no bad weather plan, no theme, no caterer, no chairs, no tables, no music, no nothing except a vague sense of what we wished the celebration to be like.
Fabulous Weddings to the rescue! They saved us. I have been told many times it was one of the best events of its kind that people had ever attended—the food, the setup, the tables and flowers and everything about it was just, well, FABULOUS. Of course, it rained cats and dogs on the day of the event, and everything had to be shifted and changed at the last minute. Through it all, Ashley and Trent remained cool and calm and got everything to work and work so well that we were proud to be the hosts of such a special night, and our guests were ecstatic! Without FW, we were zeros. With them, we were heroes. Do yourself a favor, hand them the keys and let them drive you to success. We did.

Trent, Tommy, Christina, and the whole Something Fabulous team were wonderful to work with and made planning a wedding while being out of town so much easier! They clearly care about their clients and are incredibly knowledgeable about all things weddings in the Triangle area.
We especially appreciated their attention to detail on mapping out our wedding day. It was such a relief knowing they were handling the day's logistics and had thought through a clear plan from start to finish. As a result we were both able to relax and enjoy the celebration with our loved ones! Tommy and Christina were like magicians - if there were any issues, they disappeared them before we could even find out! Tommy even worked his magic to get a cherry stain out of my dress in the middle of the reception, and no one was the wiser.
We would absolutely recommend working with Something Fabulous, especially for those feeling overwhelmed/intimidated by the wedding planning process (or even just wanting some extra support preparing for the big day)! Thank you Something Fabulous!! -
