I had an amazing experience with Something Fabulous! Samantha did such an awesome job. I had my wedding invites done with them but as we got to know each other she helped me detail and personalize my special day even more!!
I chose my invites but that was only the beginning. She helped create my programs, which I gave her free reign and I loved them. She created our menus for the buffet line and printed out a special poem for my memory table. She chose the perfect font, it was nice to have her making all the right decisions.
What was really above and beyond was my seating chart. We had a very unique venue with a lot more tables then a usual set up. She met us at the venue several times to make sure she had it perfect and executed a very easy to understand chart that could have been quite complicated.
From start to finish my experience was Fabulous!!!!! -

Something Fabulous allowed my daughter and I to have the “Bet Day Ever” (Mother of the Bride). They took care of everything that I requested and much more! I didn’t have to worry about a thing they executed all our plans with great talent and concern. We both loved working with Samantha, she is so sweet and greatly talented. After having our wedding at an unique venue, the owner requested that Something Fabulous represent the venue exclusively because they were so professional, efficient and were easily to work with. They are “Something Fabulous” and we were lucky to have them be part of our special day! -

I cannot say enough good things about Something Fabulous!! Jennifer Charles is amazing. I don't know what I would have done without her!! She and her associate talked with me about my wedding vision and my fiancé and I's relationship. They used all the jumbled pieces I had in my head as well as beautiful things I never could have imagined myself and made it come to life! They also made themselves readily available for any questions I had - not only for the design portion, but also for etiquette questions. Jennifer and her team bent over backwards to make sure that my wedding was perfect. I highly recommend Something Fabulous and Jennifer Charles! They're worth every penny!! -

I met the gals at Something Fabulous when I attended a bridal event. I was stressed out and completely overwhelmed by the number of planning to do lists and timelines that I kept finding everywhere I turned. I couldn't help but feel late for a wedding that we only just decided to plan. I really wasn't enjoying my engagement. :( After meeting with Kimberly and Samantha, my fiance and I were able to really evaluate our wish list and I have to say, we were truly able to enjoy our wedding every step of the way. As far as the details and design, EVERYTHING I wanted was easily selected through the Something Fabulous studio. I loved my wedding! I have referred these lovely ladies to all of my friends!! -

When Jason and I got engaged the first called I made was to the team at Something Fabulous! I knew that I wanted Jennifer to help design and make our unique vision a reality. Our wedding was based around our love of music and we wanted every detail to have a personal touch from music that mean so much to us as well as concerts we had attended. Jennifer and Katie worked hand in hand to make everything so special and made amazing suggestions for design, decor and vendors to help shape our wedding. Our event was completely personalized for Jason and I. From our first meeting to go over our vision to each phone call every detail was considered and also put into action. Jason I will never forget our time spent with the Something Fabulous team and how they made our special day a dream come true! -

The ladies of Something Fabulous are truly that, something fabulous. I had a rather non-traditional wedding but they understood immediately that non-traditional doesn't mean not special. They completely picked up on my vision and story and helped make it come together seamlessly. On a day when so many can get so caught up in the stress of making sure everything is perfect, I got to simply enjoy every moment knowing that I was in expert hands. Forever grateful, Sam -

I really do not have enough good things to say about Jennifer Charles, Katie Oakes, Kimberly Allen, and the Something Fabulous team as a whole. If I could score higher than 5 stars I would. As my wedding took place in the Metro DC area, I worked solely with Jennifer and Katie throughout most of the duration of the planning. Jennifer was recommended to me by my reception venue, Westwood Country Club. Let me just tell you that meeting her was the best thing that ever could have happened to my now-husband and me. Not only is she amazing and one of the nicest people you will ever meet, but she really knows her stuff. She has a contact for everything from bouquet and flower preservers to cake bakers, and even spray tan contacts. She was a life-saver to me throughout the entire process. While planning a wedding is fun, it can also be very stressful. I had a very set vision in mind for my wedding, and was worried about bringing it to light. As soon as I met Jennifer and Katie, all of those fears went away! They executed my vision to a 'T' and then some. Jennifer really pays attention to every single detail of what your are looking for and brings it to a life in an incredible way with impeccable attention to detail. They really do customize every event to the exact liking of the client. My family and friends have dubbed our wedding as 'the wedding of the century', and this is all thanks to Jennifer, Katie, and the Something Fabulous team. They put so much love and care into their events and it really shows in the outcome. On my wedding day, Jennifer and Katie were on site the entire day to make sure everything ran smoothly. They made sure that the timeline stayed on track which I really appreciated. I am sad now that it is all over because all of the meetings with Jennifer and Katie spent nailing down my vision and all of the little details felt more like hanging out with my girlfriends. I will always consider them friends and wonderful people! -

We all dream and hope for a beautiful wedding, and Kimberly and her team at something fabulous made my dreams come true. I had all these ideas and inspirations and hundreds of Pinterest pins that I knew I wanted but had no idea how to pull it all together. Something fabulous helped plan our destination wedding at Forest Dunes golf resort start to finish and all our guest had nothing but compliments to say the entire weekend. Everyone had a blast and left with wonderful memories. If you need help planning an event you should definitely use something fabulous! Best of luck girls! -

I got married at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Washington DC/Crystal City on February 2, 2013. We had originally planned on getting married in Jamaica & at the last moment things fell apart. I was worried, but I talked to Jennifer Charles of Something Fabulous she put my mind at ease & knew she would take care of everything leading up to my special day.
I have worked in the wedding industry for over 18 years. Normally, I’m the person helping everyone else find the right person. I know a lot of amazing and talented people in this industry but this was the first party I was throwing for myself and then I started to panic on how everything was going to get done. But once again… I got on the phone with the most wonderful woman I have ever met, Jennifer Charles! I realized when I actually started planning that I didn’t know the first thing about the theme, the details, the colors, and what my vision was for my wedding day. She sat with me and literally was able to figure out what my vision was. I have to tell you the vision is one of the scariest parts to the wedding for me. What did I want? How did I want to do it? How can I afford it? It was daunting to say the least. But Jennifer so kindly helped me through that effortlessly. I can honestly tell you that I couldn’t afford a planner… and now the very first thing I tell everyone is you cannot afford NOT to have a planner… and you won’t find one better than her! She has the education, background and portfolio to prove it… but all you have to do is talk to her… to actually speak with her to know…she will get it done. Jennifer and her team were amazing!
She took my winter wonderland theme and really ran with it. I actually have a picture of the minute I went into the reception room after the ceremony with my new husband & the both of us LITERALLY felt like we were on a TV show! All of my gratitude for the rest of my life could not repay her for making the most important day of my life ridiculously perfect! -

Something Fabulous made my wedding day.
My very particular husband (he was the bride :) ) and I over ambitiously chose a venue in Northern Michigan which was beautiful (on Little Traverse Bay), BUT it was not a traditional location for a wedding. In wedding planning speak, this means that from tables, to chairs, to food, to music, to alcohol, to glassware....you see where this is going.
Something Fabulous (and their team) did not blink an eye. Kim transformed a big white tent into a glowing outdoor dining room that took our breath away. More, SF's orchestration of the flow of the day from picture one (ceremony on the front law of the Inn overlooking the water), to picutre two (cocktails and live music on the boardwalk by the beach), to picture three (magical meal inside of that big white tent), to picture four (dessert and dancing inside the old Northern Michigan Inn), was impeccable--it never missed a beat.
I cannot imagine what the weekend would have been like without them. All hands were on deck on the Friday before the wedding to get everything rolling, SF spruced up our rustic location with lights, greenery, and other fancy things (remember, I wasn't the bride in this one).
Practically speaking, SF orchestrated the all decor, all flowers (and arrangements for wedding party), all lighting, all seating, all dining acoutrements. They handled each of these elements, and were in charge of the flow of the Thursday (rehearsal dinner), Friday (welcome dinner), and Saturday (wedding) from beginning to end.
You will not go wrong, or waste a dime hiring this company. A+++

Hiring Something Fabulous was the best decision I made during my wedding planning. The team does more than planning but takes a personal interest in making your wedding memorable and beautiful. Not a single detail was missed. In addition, Jennifer Charles is as much of a visionary and artist as a planner. It is impossible not to like the entire staff, as everyone is beyond professional. I would hire them again and again! -

We utilized Something Fabulous for wedding coordination services for our wedding. From our very first meeting we knew they would be wonderful! Our coordinator, Ashley, worked with us on every detail of our wedding. She thought of everything, which allowed me to just enjoy the process! Having Ashley at our wedding for day-of coordination was one of the best decisions we made. She handled every detail so that my husband, my parents, and myself were able to enjoy every moment. If there were any problems or hiccups along the way, I definitely didn't know about them - she took care of everything!
We also got our invitations from Something Fabulous. We still get compliments on them!! They were truly "fabulous". :) -

The girls at Something Fabulous are absolutely incredible. From their genius creativity when it comes to event design to their flawless execution on the big day, they literally made my wedding a dream come true! Planning a Michigan wedding from California seemed like a challenge but working with Something Fab made the process fun and easy - we had skype design sessions where they helped me to organize my vision (I am pinterest-obsessed and had so many ideas, Jennifer really helped to make them flow together with a common theme) and we kept a constant flow of communication to ensure that all of the details and schedules were on-track. The weekend of the wedding was a breeze for me, when I walked into the reception tent it was literally a dream come true. They put everything together perfectly, exactly how I had imagined it :) -

Jennifer and her team were amazing to work with! They took the time to review over all the options they have to offer while keeping my budget in mind...and keeping their patience when I couldn't make up my mind! :-) I would highly recommend them for all stationary needs as they can create pieces to use throughout your day that work with the invites you sent out. -

My husband and I were completely dissatisfied with the planning and day of execution of wedding planners Jennifer Charles and Kimberly Allen of Something Fabulous's . We requested a meeting after the wedding and they refused. They stated, “We do not believe we have any issues outstanding.” If we would have met to discuss these issues, we would not be writing this review. Here is the list of problems we had with Something Fabulous:
1) They forgot $5,000 off of their creative proposal. Later, we discovered the vendor also quoted the wrong hotel. We were making most of our decisions based on the #s proposal.
2) They showed up 20 minutes before the wedding was supposed to start thus causing the wedding to start late. The groom and family members that arrived early had to open up the church, open rooms up for participants, find programs and attendants. Something Fabulous did not make sure there were matches for the lighting of the Unity Candle. They also forgot the ring bearer’s pillow. They were not even present to do their job. When my husband went to escort his Grandparents to their seat, people were sitting there and he had to tell them to move. 3) There was a complete lack of attention to detail with the wedding itinerary. I had to continue to remind them of the order of events. The cake and dessert came out before we even cut the cake, which distracted from speeches and ruined the flow entirely. They put large reserved signs on our reception table which is an eyesore. The perimeter lighting was a light pink and not magenta, as discussed.
4) Kimberly Allen was unprepared for meetings and was also very unprofessional. She yelled at my husband right before the wedding. She also had what was described as a panic attack. Our organist had to tell her to stop talking so the organist could do her job.
We tried to get out of our contract when we started noticing the lack of detail but they did not allow us to break the contact. Choose carefully! -
