Delightful experience!

Soliloquy's Bridal Shop is absolutely beautiful providing an exceptional setting for brides, mother of the brides and grooms and wedding party members to find the perfect gowns and dresses. The person assisting was an excellent listener and quickly ascertained my style preferences and concerns. Combining the aforementioned and her sharp eye for style produced a selection of dresses that were absolutely gorgeous and ones I would have thought that I couldn't wear. My Mother of the Bride gown is absolutely stunning and elegant. I look and feel absolutely beautiful with it on. The consultant's friendly and engaging manner made the experience fun and dare I say a bit magical.

I could not have been more excited and delighted finding my Mother of the Groom dress! I was getting very nervous about trying on dress after dress at the department stores and being so disappointed. A friend had mentioned that I should try Soliloquy Bridal Couture. They did not disappoint. Very professional yet warm. After asking me a few questions about what I had in mind dresses were pulled off of the rack and I ended up picking the first one I tried on. It was a tough decision because all of them seem to be just what I had hoped. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a wedding gown, bridesmaids, gown, or mother of the bride mother of the groom to go to Soliloquy Bridal Couture. envisioned.

I was also very pleased with the price as well as the timeline when my dress will be in the store for alterations.

We bought my oldest daughter her dress here ten years ago. Returned this year for my younger daughter's dress. So happy we returned -- the dress is gorgeous, customer service was first rate. Miriam has a great eye for what works and what looks good. What a super pleasant experience. It was a one stop shop for our group. Highly recommend!

My favorite vendor of my entire wedding!

Miriam runs an incredible bridal shop at Soliloquy. I was nervous to shop for my wedding dress by myself since my family and most of my friends don't live in the area, but Miriam made me feel so welcomed from the moment I stepped through her door. Not only that, but she gave me the honest and supportive feedback I needed to pick the right dress, and even customize the dress to my liking. Miriam really cares about her brides -- every time I've had an appointment at her shop one of her previous brides has stopped in to say hi, which I think says a lot about the depth of her relationships with her customers! Miriam only sells American-made dresses, and you can feel really good about purchasing from an independent, woman-owned business. She has an in-house alterations specialist who does incredible work as well and makes the alterations process seamless. Thank you Miriam, you gave me my soliloquy!

The best wedding dress shop! So happy I came here.

This place is a blessing. Weddings are stressful enough so it's wonderful when you can find a shop that delivers. But this shop does more than just deliver beautiful dresses, it's run by a wonderful person. Miriam is exactly who you need during such a stressful time in your life. She is warm, inviting, and truly wants you to be happy with your wedding dress. She's helped me countless times during the many stressers i put on myself while trying to decide on my gown.

I had gone to other bridal shops in VA and just didn't get the best vibe but I was really sold on this shop not only because of the stunning dresses, but because i knew Miriam had my back and would work with me. Her assurance that the dress was going to look stunning and that i was going to feel great was exactly what i needed. You also get some privacy during your appointment as Miriam doesn't have too many people at once during visits which is really helpful. I found other dress shops to be a bit too chaotic which doesn't make it easier.

Ramya, who did my alterations, is also wonderful to work with. She is very kind, works with your schedule, and does stunning work. I had a last minute change to my dress (Went from sleeves to straps) and both Miriam and Ramya were so accommodating.

I got so many compliments on the stunning work on my dress. The detail is beautiful as was the lace work on it. It was exactly how i hope it would look.

I HIGHLY recommend this bridal shop for your wedding dress needs. They also do family dresses that look stunning as well.

Mother of the Groom dress

Miriam made this experience very easy and relaxing. She made me feel confident and comfortable with the process. The Best Shop in the DMV

Miriam and Soliloquy was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so happy we landed here. I had been to a few shops before, but everything was either not-quite-right or had to be bought off the rack. Once we stepped into the shop, it was a totally fantastic experience. I found the dress and was able to customize EVERYTHING I wanted to get my perfect dress. Plus the fact that the dresses are made in the states, the fabrics are exquisite, alterations are done in house and she will measure you before they do the final cut is all the better. A Wonderful Experience

Honestly the best!

I was introduced to the shop through my best friend. Her daughter is getting married so she got a recommendation to go to the shop. We were pretty impressed by the awards on the wall but when we met the owner who listened to us took us over the moon! She looked at our bodies and recommended dresses that concealed the flaws but accentuated the best points. I said yes to the dress! I am the godmother and needed a formal dress. Btw, I didn’t know that it was the owner who helped us until later. She was awesome!

Amazing!!!

I found Soliloquy Bridal Boutique online by searching “best bridal stores in Northern VA” and it absolutely lived up to and exceeded expectations. The appointment was private, personalized, and Miriam made me and my guests feel incredibly special. The first dress she pulled for me ended up being my dress. We had one other appointment elsewhere in the afternoon and after we left that other appointment we called Miriam to come back because I had found my dress and wanted to make the purchase. Miriam was quick in her response, allowing us to come back in and try on the dress again. It was an easy decision to purchase my dream dress from Soliloquy and I’m so grateful to have worked with Miriam who made the day all the more special!

Mothers Unite!

I'm the mother of the groom and don't particularly love dressing up or wearing dressed. Well, Miriam found my dress on the second try and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I haven't had one regret! I then returned to look at rehearsal dinner dresses and once again, I found something gorgeous and comfortable. Miriam really listens and knows how to make you look good! Alterations Dream Team!

Miriam and Rami were a total dream team at Soliloquy Bridal. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and were an overall joy to be around. I was always so excited to visit their shop! I gave them quite the challenge when I let them know I was going to be 22 weeks pregnant at my wedding. They altered my dress to my changing body and it fit like a glove. Soliloquy has my heart!

I don’t even know where to begin with my experience at Soliloquy. I searched so many stores in the NOVA area, and everything was the same (and the same experience of herding groups of people in and out and having people “assigned” to you). I wanted a different experience and a dress that didn’t look the same as something off the rack. I began my search for an upscale boutique where I could get one on one attention from someone that actually had experience with amazing designers and high class fabrics and gowns, and I was lucky enough to find Miriam.

They created my custom gown and were amazing from start to finish! For anyone that has had a custom gown or is considering it, it can be scary and it takes a certain amount of risk. I took the leap of faith with Miriam and she didn’t disappoint, at the times that I got nervous, she and Ramya (store seamstress) would call, no matter the day or time (even on Easter weekend) to make sure I had all my questions answered. They would get the designer on the phone and work through exactly what I wanted. I finally found a place where I believe you get the quality, service and experience that every bride should have. Now that my wedding has passed, I want a reason to stop at the shop to see Miriam and Ramya, they are truly genuine, caring, lovely people that KNOW what they’re doing! I owe so much to them!

It’s the perfect dress!

During my appointment there was no doubt in my mind about finding my dress at Soliloquy. To learn about the in depth customizations they can accommodate was astounding. Working with Mariam was my favorite part of the experience. Her professionalism and experience had me at ease and never felt overwhelmed with the choices I had. I felt like she was always a step ahead of me with an idea or another dress she thought I would love. Wonderful Experience

Soliloquy was the first and only bridal shop I went to. I found my dress on the third try, although I tried on a total of seven dresses. I did not feel the need to go anywhere else - Soliloquy was the perfect fit for me!

Miriam was warm and welcoming, and she was a fabulous listener and problem solver. I felt well taken care of, both physically and emotionally. She was incredibly supportive of me as the bride.

I remember Miriam asking me what was missing from the dress, and when I mentioned picturing something around my waist, she found the perfect belt to complement the dress.

The alterations department was fantastic as well! I gained weight between the original measurement and my dress fitting, and the seamstress worked wonders! I also re-wore the dress a year later for a vow renewal ceremony, and the dress needed altering again, and you would never know! The seamstress was also very kind and supportive.

The shop was well maintained and clean, and very beautiful. It felt like the perfect bridal experience.

Perfection!

Never had I ever thought I was going to get married and I was so nervous to go shopping for wedding dresses! Miriam quickly eased my anxiety by making me feel heard and comfortable. I purchased my wedding dress about a year ago from Miriam at Soliloquy. I cannot truly express how wonderful my experience was dealing with Soliloquy throughout the entire experience! From my first visit where I tried on dresses throughout the fitting process, Miriam was patient and kind. The dress I ended up purchasing was absolutely perfect for me, and it fit both my personality and venue completely. Miriam was such a pleasure to work with and seemed truly invested in ensuring that I was 100% happy with the dress that I bought. It took me a while to finalize my decision, but I never felt pressured to buy before I was ready. I truly felt that Miriam just wanted me to love my dress, more than just focusing on making a sale. 5 stars are not enough!

I can't say enough about the kindness, professionalism, and quality of the many services provided by Miriam and the staff at Soliloquy. I visited with my mother and aunt in October 2020 (with all COVID protocols in place, which was especially important because we have many vulnerable people in our "bubble"). I was very nervous and unsure about what I was looking for, but my aunt happened to pull a dress she'd seen online that she thought would be "me." It was beautiful, featuring hand-painted flowers, but it wasn't quite "me." Seeing how interested I was in the flowers, Miriam said, "Well, this dress actually has a sister!" And pulled another. From there, we talked about what we could do with the design, and Miriam and Barbara created something completely unique, replacing the pale pink flowers with my favorites, sunflowers and lavender. It was incredibly beautiful and I was completely in awe to see the final product. And all that in a compressed timeline, with collaboration and understanding at every step. Miriam really made me feel heard and appreciated as a bride, in a time when everything felt overwhelming. I am looking forward to someday passing my one-of-a-kind, perfect dress along to daughters.

Personal and professional

Soliloquy was my first bridal appointment, and I wasn’t expecting to pick a dress. I was overwhelmed. The staff helped me find the perfect dress by allowing me to be very open about what I thought I wanted, what I was willing to try, what I loved, and what I absolutely was not a fan of. They took everything I said and turned it into the perfect dress with the very first pick. They took my feedback seriously and treated me as an individual. I felt like I was a princess. When they could see I was overwhelmed, they knew exactly what to do. They knew when to step in and when to step away. An absolute magical rollercoaster of an experience. Although I went with something over my budget, I’m glad I stopped at this local bridal shop and I wouldn’t change my decision. It was an experience I’ll never forget that gave me memories that will last me a lifetime, and I dress I’ll love forever!

The BEST Experience

My entire experience at soliloquy so far has far exceeded any expectations. I initially went there because they carried a specific color of bridesmaid dresses I was looking for, and ended up going back for my own dress. I was dreading the experience of picking out a dress and Miriam made me feel valued and beautiful from the start. She turned something I was dreading into something I could relax and enjoy! Everything a bride dreams of

Visiting Soliloquy Bridal was everything I'd dreamed of in wedding dress shopping! The salon was calm and welcoming and the consultant I worked with was communicative, enjoyable to work with and very transparent about costs and process. My family (Mom, future Mother in Law and Best Friend/MOH) were with me and they were made to feel comfortable and integral to the process. There were lovely, large fitting rooms and the consultant was attentive in helping with putting on the gowns and doing any clipping/pinning/adding/accessorizing needed/desired to get the full impact of a gown. They even handed me a bouquet and created a make-shift aisle (with a full length mirror at the end) to help make it real! Finally, there are huge, 3 paneled mirrors with a pedestal and a row of chairs for your party to observe. When I came out in "the one" everything felt like the most wonderfully realistic dream! The ladies at the salon celebrated with us and broke out the champagne too! Afterwards the owner sent me a handwritten thank you note too. Overall it was an excellent experience and I look forward to working with them for alterations as well. I can not speak highly enough of Soliloquy! Make an appointment!

Miriam made my dream come true!

I was on the fence of going low key for a second wedding (I'm a 50 year old widow). Miriam convinced me that both myself and my groom deserved me to look like a bride and that she did!!! She was patient and had great ideas of what would look best for me and we found an AMAZING gown that will be perfect for my May 2020 wedding!!! She made the entire experience magical! The shop has gorgeous gowns in all styles. As a plus size bride I was thrilled that I could actually try on designer gowns in close to my size. Bonus!

My photographer and DJ recommended that I go to Soliloquy and I am so glad that I did. I am extremely indecisive and actually said yes to the dress on my first visit! From the moment that I met Miriam, she made me feel comfortable and was always willing to listen to my endless questions and concerns. I also met Ramya who is their in-house alterations expert, and I can honestly say that between finding a beautiful dress and working with Miriam, Ramya was the other deciding factor in saying yes to the dress and yes to Solilquy! Absolutely enchanting.

I was so sure I would take forever to find The dress but I fell in love at Soliloquy. I had looked online and in several shops almost nonstop for 6 months and I never found a gown that spoke to me.

The gown is perfect and I have never felt so much excitement. Sharon was my angel and Miriam was just as excited as I was!

The experience of the entire appointment felt like what you dream about. I had lowered my expectations after going to a couple of (perfectly nice) other shops and Soliloquy brought magic back into finding the perfect wedding dress.

On the more practical side they are very professional and keep to their appointment requirements.

You won't have to worry about random people popping in just to browse and they have the entire building set up so you have your own space for trying on dresses with your entourage.

The dresses line the walls and they have several on mannequins which makes picking dresses out incredibly easy. To be honest though, we never had to browse (though we did after for fun!).

They have a detailed online survey that helps them pick out dresses that fit your vision.

After trying on a few that were right up my alley Sharon brought in several that started to truly resonate with me and my family.

It came down to two gowns that were perfect for me but totally opposite. They let you try on your favorites again if there is time and they do an excellent job pinning and clipping the samples.

I have zero question that my dress will be perfect and you can even customize!!

I will forever recommend Soliloquy, they transformed a dreaded task into an experience I thought was only in stories.

Now being a flagship for Barbara Kavchock - the possibilities there are endless. There are so many beautiful dresses out there that would be even more perfect for your style if even ONE modification could be made...which is not something you can do with all designers. Here, you can. I created a dress, received a sketch from the designer herself, asked a million questions that Miriam was more than happy to answer. I never felt rushed. She was over-accommodating...Soliloquy should be everyone's first choice!

I made my initial appointment on the first day of the Herndon Festival, it was pouring down rain, tons of traffic, and roads closed off. Despite my attempts, I was unable to make it to my initial appointment but Miriam was very kind and understood the conditions and allowed me to reschedule. The day of my new appointment, rain was pouring down and the roads were still blocked off due to the festival, however, I was able to make my appointment and I am so glad I did. Miriam greeted me and my guests at the door and walked us down to the boutique. The boutique is absolutely beautiful, the ambiance was just right, the dressing rooms are spacious, and Miriam was so wonderful to work with. The dresses are at a higher price point, however the service and the quality of the dresses are very much worth it. Needless to say, I purchased my dress that day and I am excited to work with Miriam and her team on alterations and making it my vision.

Soliloquy Bridal was amazing with helping me find my dress. First of all the boutique is beautiful and set up so that you have your own space to try on dresses and you don't have to share the spotlight with someone else. The staff was very accommodating and gave me their full attention. They listened to what my style was and what I was looking for and stayed on track, showing me beautiful dresses. I ended up liking many and we were able to narrow them down without any pressure from the staff. Wow, where do I even begin? Heading to Soliloquy to shop for my wedding dress was a no brained as both of my older sisters had found their dream dress at the shop. I had a very specific vision for my wedding dress, which I knew was going to make shopping difficult. I showed Miriam some pictures to give her an idea of what I was looking for. Not only did she pull great dresses, ones I was unsure of at first, but loved once I had them on, but she opened a world of possibilities for me. We were able to custom make a dress, changing the bottom of the dress so it was exactly what I wanted and adding a sheer top. I even was able to request more beading on the dress. I never imagined (practically) making my own wedding dress! I trusted Miriam with my vision and when the dress came in I was absolutely blown away. The dress was exactly what I wanted! From the detailed beading to the sheer top and new bottom, the dress was the highlight of my wedding and it showed! I received more compliments on my wedding dress, from ladies AND gentlemen, than on any other aspect of my wedding. Advice for newly engaged ladies? Go to Soliloquy and trust them! They will surpass your wildest dreams and make your wedding perfect!

I went with my mother and sister to find my wedding dress at Soliloquy. The whole experience was special from the very beginning. We had the whole store to ourselves, my mother and sister were treated to mango lemonade as they waited between dresses, and we were able to celebrate saying yes to my dress with some bubbly! It was one pleasant surprise after another. I bought a dress at my budget price point, and splurged on a silk tulle veil to pass down.

I have to thank the person behind it all, Miriam! Miriam was team "bride" all the way: listening to my thoughts, reading my family dynamic, and reinforcing my opinions to my mother and sister. She understood what I was looking for within minutes of meeting me and I tried on beautiful gowns, all within my budget. My experience was perfect. Mariam picked the perfect dress for me. She emailed me in advance with a questionnaire about my preferences. Then she helped me over email pick a dress in my budget. I tried on 5 dresses. I loved every single one. They were exactly what I was looking for. Mariam, the owner asked the right questions and was attentive to my needs and wants. She also tried a veil on me that, I never would have picked, but once on it was perfect. She has an eye! I picked the dress and we toasted with champagne.

My experience at Soliloquy Bridal was nothing short of fantastic! The information survey the have you fill out before hand really helps them get to know your style and ensures no time is wasted explaining your wants and needs at the appointment. Miriam was absolutely phenomenal and so kind to me and my family while being able to steer the appointment to be a productive and positive one! The dress selection is unparalleled! I recommend this salon to any bride that wants to have a special time looking for their wedding dress that makes them feel like a one of a kind bride! I said yes to my soliloquy!

Miriam, the owner, and her team are absolutely incredible! I had had a few pretty terrible bridal shopping experiences that left me in tears of frustration and self-doubt, and then I walked into Soliloquy for my appointment there. Aneesa was my consultant and asked if I had ever tried on a fit and flare gown based on my body shape and what I wanted in a gown - I told her I hadn't because I didn't think it would flatter my body, but I was open to trying one. My mom, sister, and friends pulled some gowns for me, as did I. Aneesa pulled a gown for me (a fit and flare that she had asked about), asked me to just try it to see. It was one of the first dresses I put on and I was shocked by how much I loved it. I tried a few more on and knew I needed to put Aneesa's pick back on. I put it back on for the second time with a veil, which is when the team at Soliloquy gave me space/time to look at the dress myself with my mom, sister, and friends without the sales pressure. I can't even begin to describe how thankful I was for this - as they truly care about how YOU feel. It was at that point that the tears of JOY started and I said yes to the dress! Aneesa and Miriam helped me find the right accessories, to finish off my look. My dress arrived right on schedule for the quoted production and shipping time and we began alterations about 30 days from my wedding. Kim did my alterations and she was PHENOMENAL! I had a complicated bustle request, so I could switch shoes from ceremony to reception and she exceeded all expectations - it was unbelievably gorgeous! I can't thank Miriam and the team at Soliloquy enough for making the dress shopping and alterations appointments the EASIEST part of wedding planning. I looked forward to my alterations appointments because I loved the time I spent with Kim and Miriam, and I think I can speak for my mom as well when I say we were both sad for them to end! We adore Miriam and the team at Soliloquy, and HIGHLY recommend them!

Absolutely amazing! This was the first bridal salon where I actually felt the focus was on me, as a bride, instead of the dress or the salespeople. The owner and staff really know the merchandise, and were willing to work with me on a very tight schedule to find a gown I could really make my own. Everyone seriously went above and beyond to ensure I got a gorgeous custom gown on time. They even found me a veil that matched the dress perfectly! Another great thing is that alterations are done on premises, and the seamstress is very good at what she does.

We have 2 married sons and both times when it came for mother-of-the-groom dresses, we went to Soliloquy. Why? The service, the selection, the atmosphere, the value, the convenient location, and did I mention, the Service! The team there is awesome to work with, they listen to what you want from the special day and help navigate the incredible selection to find exactly what's right for you, in this case, my beautiful wife. Yes, we never want to take away from the Bride but who said the mother-of-the-groom can look amazing too! Stop thinking matronly dresses are your only options and go visit the great people at Soliloquy!

The staff at Soliloquy was absolutely the best! I had no intention of purchasing a dress that day but I walked in saw a dress and knew it was the one. They were able to get me an appointment that day. They helped me customize the dress with the fabulous designer, Angel Rivera. And the absolute best part is they allowed me to come back the next day with my parents, because I couldn't buy a dress without their approval. And the whole family said "Yes to Soliloquy"!

I had visited 5 bridal salons before I went to Soliloquy. Aneesa, my sales associate, was very kind, friendly, helpful, and truly listened to everything I said while trying on dresses. My mother and I were very happy with my experience and I was very happy to find and purchase my beautiful wedding gown here! The owner of the salon is very knowledgeable and was very helpful in easing any worries about sizing/fittings when ordering my dress and veil. She even helped my mother find a mother-of-the-bride gown she was happy with! I highly recommend Soliloquy to any bride!

I had an incredible experience at Soliloquy Bridal! This was the third place I visited, and it was the first time I went to a bridal salon by myself. The owner, Miriam, was wonderful! What I really appreciated was the fact that she sat down with me to learn more about my vision for my wedding day and what I wanted to look and feel like. After our discussion, the two of us started to look at dresses, with her keeping my price range in mind. After trying on about 6 or 7 dresses, I found "the one"! I had tried on many beautiful dresses, but this was the first one that gave me "that" feeling. Miriam was so patient with me and helped give me feedback and pointers about my decision. I explained that I would love to bring back someone with me, and was luckily able to have my future mother in law come with me a few days later. Miriam welcomed us with a big hug and really made myself and my future MIL feel so special! I said yes to the dress, and Miriam took out the champagne =)

I highly recommend Soliloquy for a bride looking for a really special shopping experience. They have many designers that are not as common, but Miriam explained that these designers really put their heart and soul into every dress they make. I am thrilled with my experience at Soliloquy!

Myself, my mom, best friend, and future mother in law went to Soliloquy in November '16 to browse for dresses. Our appointment was with Miriam, the owner, and she was so incredibly kind and accommodating. The shop itself is incredibly intimate and we felt like she was entirely focused on our appointment. I told her the style and feel I was interested in for my wedding day, and she was able to pull a variety of options. She even let me try on dresses I wasn't particularly interested in, just to see/for fun :) I ended up finding my dream dress, and was able to have multiple appointments closer to June '17 (wedding date) for custom alterations with Miriam and Ramya, the in-house alteration specialist. I cannot tell you how kind, accommodating, and efficient both Miriam and Ramya are. They made this such a stress-free process with their thoroughness and desire to make sure I was 110% satisfied with my dress. Soliloquy is WONDERFUL!!

I found the dress of my dreams at Soliloquy! Miriam was amazing and so professional. She was so accommodating with my busy schedule and always so sweet. Ramna(not sure how to spell her name) the seamstress did wonders! She made my dress into a low back and added straps. It fit perfectly and I was so comfortable all night. The service is impeccable here. I highly recommend Soliloquy!

Soliloquy Bridal gave me the best possible experience as a bride-to-be! The whole process was very personalized and effortless. I never felt rushed or pressured to pick a dress. They gave me plenty of options and also let my Maids of Honor pick out some styles they thought I would like. They let you take as much time as you need and really take what you want into consideration. It was so refreshing to have one of the biggest parts of wedding planning go seamlessly and actually be enjoyable. They make you feel so special and treat you wonderfully!
I am also doing my alterations with them and have already had 2 out of 3 appointments and I couldn't be more impressed. They stay with you the entire time to make sure the seamstress is doing what you want and to make sure that you're happy - I couldn't ask for anything more & I can't wait to wear my dress!

I said yes to the dress! Absolutely, 100% yes to Soliloquy! I had visited 1 shop prior to Soliloquy, disappointed. It just wasn't the "bridal experience" i was searching for. Slightly disheartened I ventured over to Soliloquy as recommended by my photographer. I walked into their beautiful shop and I KNEW this was the place. Beautiful, friendly staff, my own personal attendant who helped me find my dress, made me feel like it was "my day". Miriam was wonderful and very accommodating. She guided me through the whole process from finding my dream dress, to alterations, to accessories; even brought my dress out to the car for me!! 5 stars is not enough! A wonderful bridal experience I would wish for anyone!

From the beginning to the end, I had an AMAZING experience with Soliloquy Bridal! Everyone of the staff was very warm, welcoming and friendly! Often times, I was greeted with a hug :)The choosing of my dress I did with a breeze. I pretty much designed my dress with the talents of Seamstress, Ms.Ramya! From the moment I selected what would become my "dream dress" to the VERY last fitting/design appointment, each was effortless. I had so many ideas for my dress and every single one of them were implemented with the helps of my wonderful seamstress and Owner Miriam. I would recommend this beautiful bridal boutique if you are looking for a great staff, unique wedding dress selections, or designing your own from start to finish as I did!

Please visit and ask for Miriam! She's a pro! My daughter and I visited without an appointment only to look at veils and earrings. Miriam not only carved out time on the floor for us but also quickly realized my daughter was a unicorn looking for a pale blue veil to wear with her unique wedding dress. Miriam found the option and made it happen. It was truly a pleasure to work with a stellar saleswoman. Please give this woman a day off with pay sometime soon!

My experience at Soliliquoy was exactly what I had imagined when thinking about my first dress shopping experience! The bridal boutique was upscale and the consultant assigned to me asked me great questions in order to find me the most beautiful gown. I ended up choosing a gorgeous Alvina Valenta gown which I tried on at least 3 times and I never felt rushed. We celebrated with champagne after I said yes and I left feeling completely satisfied. In terms of wedding gowns, the prices were reasonable. They had a good representation of sample sizes as I was able to try on all the gowns I wanted and I wear a street size 10. They didn't all zip but they were able to pin it well enough for me to get a good idea. This was the second salon I visited that day and the service and selection was absolutely superior.

First, I did not buy my dress from Soliloquy, I came in with a dress from David's Bridal that I needed altered, but didn't trust the big business to do. Even though my dress wasn't one of theirs, they were extremely professional and didn't treat me any differently. They listened to exactly what I wanted, gave me some of their recommendations, and even took consideration of the fact that I was concerned about cost. My dress was exactly how I wanted it to be. The best part was how quickly they were able to do it, probably about a week turnaround time (I waited longer than I should have to make an appointment) and they even stored it at their location until my big day (again even though it wasn't one of their dresses).

Soliloquy is such a wonderful place to look for your wedding dress. The shop is beautiful and spacious, you have to book an appointment so there are never more than 2 other brides in the shop at one time, and Miriam makes you feel like you are the only bride she is working with all year. I went to a couple other shops before Soliloquy and tried on a lot of dresses that were gorgeous, but I just hadn't found one that felt like me and fit the vibe that I imagined for my wedding. Miriam was SO patient with me and really listened to my thoughts on each dress I tried on so that she could try to find my perfect dress. In the end we basically custom designed my dress because we picked out a corset top that I loved but they didn't have the type of skirt that I wanted. Miriam worked diligently with the designer of the dress to make sure that every part of the skirt (type & color of tulle, # of layers in the tulle, waistband fabric and width, etc) was tailored to match the picture in my head (she's psychic). I loooved my dress and got so many compliments on it. By the day of my wedding, Miriam felt like family to us - she genuinely cares about each bride. Point being - go to Soliloquy!

I don't believe there is a better wedding dress store in the Washington DC area. The staff is kind, generous, and patient. The dresses are beautiful as are the veils and accessories. The staff and owner treated my daughter (the bride) with love and respect. The dress came in as promised, was altered as promised, and looks perfect. The seamstress is kind, affirming, and encouraging. You would be well advised to purchase your dress for the big day from this wonderful team of women! I had a fantastic experience at Soliloquy Bridal! They made my first time trying on dresses so memorable. My consultant did a wonderful job selecting dresses to match my style and I ended up choosing the second dress she picked for me.
