I don’t even know where to begin — Soirée was absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I truly put all of our trust in their team, and it was the best decision we could’ve made. From day one, Emily and her entire team were organized, creative, calm, and unbelievably patient.
We weren’t the most hands-on couple, but Soirée took the reins and handled everything — coordinating vendors, managing our guest list, designing invitations, planning the décor, and even helping with food and logistics. Every detail was executed flawlessly.
The day itself went off without a single hiccup. The Soirée team was everywhere and nowhere at once — always present, but never intrusive. They made sure we could actually enjoy our wedding day rather than stress about it.
Our friends and family couldn’t stop complimenting how seamless, beautiful, and well-organized everything was. We’ll never stop being grateful to Soirée for turning our vision (and chaos) into the most magical day of our lives.

Emily and the team at Soirée are sincerely second to none. I sincerely don’t know where to begin! Their devotion to making our dreams come true for our day was truly the best! It’s not just another job for them, you can tell they sincerely care about you and that matters so very much. We weren’t just clients-we are now friends. When planning one of the most intimate, special days of your life with someone, that matters. We were so pleased with their work that we booked them for a second ceremony and reception and they delivered for both…and then some. We actually miss working with them now that are celebrations are over. Emily doesn’t forget a thing! Trust me! We felt like our wedding was truly ours-not like anyone else’s. Emily is legitimately one of the most insightful, empathetic, creative, and well-organized people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with professionally.
When my fiancé and I got engaged, I wasn’t sure we needed a wedding planner, but was curious and just wanted to see what was out there. After one meeting with her, it became entirely clear she was the person to make our dream a reality.
She helped us to maintain sight of our vision for the big day, even in stressful moments that had me in tears of anxiety and confusion before talking to her. There was literally no problem that arose in over 2 years of planning that she couldn’t help me see my options through.
I know that hiring a wedding planner can seem like something only fancy celebrities or rich people do, but I highly recommend Emily and her team if it’s possible for you and your spouse to be. You’ll enjoy your dream day and the planning process itself more because of them. I can’t say enough good about her, Gracie, Aly, and their entire team.

We hired soirée for day of coordination but Emily helped us through the whole process from the moment we hired Soirée. She’s extremely organized, well connected, calm, and prepared. The technology they use is also very helpful- we had a Slack Channel and Timeline Genius page that allowed for easy communication and visibility over the timeline. The timeline she put together was perfect. I needed flexibility as we have a four month old who needed feedings throughout. I never felt rushed. The day really was set up for us to enjoy and I greatly appreciate that. 10/10 recommend!Soirée Wedding Planning's reply:

I got engaged a few weeks before having major surgery that would require months of recovery. A little while after surgery, we looked into getting a wedding planner to help reduce the stress and workload of planning a wedding, so I could focus on healing. This is where Emily and Soirée came in. Emily and her team were so happy to help us, and listened to our story and reasons for choosing their services. From the beginning they were committed to reducing the stress aspect, simplifying choices, making trusted recommendations, and accompanying us on site visits to make sure we asked the right questions. Regular emails with short "to do" lists kept me on track without overwhelming me. All emails and messages were responded to promptly, sometimes within minutes. Gracie was our coordinator on the day of our wedding, from 12-10pm, and she did a phenomenal job of keeping everything on schedule, organized, and the least chaotic possible. She was so kind and accommodating, regularly checking in to make sure we were having the best time possible and seeing what she could take care of. We were able to leave the venue on time because almost everything was ready packed up and loaded. I certainly could not do her job and am just in awe of her skills and fortitude. I do not plan on ever getting married again, but I certainly would use Soirée again if I did, and I will recommend them to anyone who needs help with planning their own wedding. As the mother of the bride, I can sum up my experience with Emily and Gracie from Soirée as absolutely FIRST CLASS. From the moment we met with Emily to talk about their services, I felt her warmth and professionalism. We heavily relied on her preferred vendor list and were never disappointed. Emily and Gracie guided us through our many questions and ideas and were so organized and unbelievably gracious. I can’t imagine planning a wedding without their extensive knowledge and working relationships. Heading into the wedding day, I was calm and composed - what a gift! Gracie was with us for the rehearsal and for the wedding day. She was so on top of all of the details and took care of everything! She even checked in with us frequently to see if there was anything we needed! Wow!! If you are looking for a wedding planner that is going to walk every step of the way with you, make you feel valued, and knows this world of weddings from start to finish then look no more. My fiancé and I decided to bring the Soirée team on mid-way through our destination wedding planning, and my only regret is that we did not reach out to them sooner in the planning process.
Our entire experience with Emily (from the moment we had our consultation call to the end of our wedding day) was above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. Emily is extremely detail oriented and ensured my vision came to life.
Emily and her team did an amazing job of communicating with myself, my travel agency, and the resort where we were getting married. There were several instances where Emily took initiative on things that I would’ve assumed the resort would have initiated, but did not. I felt so at peace and zero anxiety leading up to our special day, and the credit goes to Emily and the Soirée team.
I decided to have Emily accompany us to Cancún for our wedding and am so happy she was able to be in person. Emily ensured that everything was executed perfectly and was a huge support to me on the wedding day.
I was so grateful to have Emily’s expertise as we navigated throughout the wedding planning process! I know that, without her, I would not have been able to enjoy the big day as much as I did. Thank you Emily & Soirée! -

I worked primarily with Emily throughout the planning process, and then Maggy for the day of. Leading up to the wedding, I received monthly reminders/checklists to let me know what needed done each month to help stay on track. Emily not only made a mood board for me but an entire “mood” powerpoint. The powerpoint was categorized extremely well and was a very helpful resource to keep everything organized and to really help visualize the day. She helped us to stick close to our budget and still have our dream wedding. It was very easy to get in contact with them at all times. I always received a very timely response to my questions and making appointments was a breeze. They’ve got this down to a T.
Let’s talk about the day of…I will never understand how people get through their wedding day without at least having a day of coordinator. Maggy was absolutely amazing and on top of EVERYTHING. No one bothered me with any logistical questions or drama on the day of. She coordinated all day with my photographers, DJ, officiant, wedding party, venue, rental company, florists…everyone…to make sure the whole day went smooth. Everything was perfectly on time (even slightly ahead of schedule, which allowed for a bit of much needed down time for my husband and I.) It was absolutely perfect. Maggy even made sure all of our personal items (memory table photos, decor brought from home, cards, etc.) were locked away in my bridal suite before leaving for the night. I didn’t have to lift a finger.
Hire a wedding planner. It may seem expensive but it is truly worth every penny. Ultimately, they will help you actually stick to your budget and have so many connections you wouldn’t have on your own. Hire Soiree.

Emily and the Soiree team (shout out to Maggy, our day-of coordinator too!) are absolutely phenomenal. They always have an answer, a solution. I knew I could call/text/Slack/email and they would make it happen. Their wide network of connections and vast experience in the industry is so valuable! The organization and structure they provide is incredible. From the planning tools to the wedding timelines, we knew we were in good hands. We had SEVERAL wedding party members comment that this was the most well-organized wedding they'd been in. And most importantly to us, we both felt relaxed throughout the day. Do you want to have the most stress free wedding experience of your life? Do you want to enjoy your entire wedding weekend? Do you want people to be surprised at how relaxed you are while planning a wedding? Do you want your friends and family to relax with you to enjoy your day? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then you HAVE to hire Soiree wedding planning! It is SO worth the extra expense. Emily and her team made everything more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She took a Pinterest board, a meeting and made a fairy tale. Any question I had, Emily answered and meetings with her made everything so easy. She found the best vendors who made our day absolutely stunning. I will be forever grateful and want everyone to have a day as beautiful as ours because of Soiree! The day of, she had built in extra time, so when we were running behind, we still had time to do all the things I wanted to do and get every photo op. They thought of everything. Bella, her assistant, made sure to check in on us, helped carry my dress on a photo shoot in the orchard, and when there wasn't enough room on our shuttle, she gave us a ride back to the hotel (which was SO generous). Emily (Soiree wedding planning) was absolutely the best. Everyone in our bridal party and some of our guests came up to us to tell us that as well. She got everyone moving (with a smile on her face!) and made the ceremony and reception happen. She was assertive, organized and just the best. I do not think our day would have gone as well without her. Soirée was the absolute best in helping me ease my worries, both in the planning stages and during our wedding day. I had to do all the planning from out of state and sight unseen, but Emily's relationships with vendors and knowledge about all things wedding planning helped the lead-up go smoothly.

To say that Emily and her team were simply the best is not enough to express how happy I am that I hired Soiree Events. From our initial meeting with Emily I knew that she was the right person to help us plan our wedding. She was responsive, easy to talk to and never made me feel my wedding was not a priority to her although I know she is very busy! She is very honest and upfront about pricing and services included. I felt she went above and beyond on MANY MANY occasions. In my line of work I tend to have very high expectations of people and their performance and she exceeded my expectations consistently. Not only did her team make our wedding day run smoothly, they were prepared, relaxed and I truly felt that it was more than just a job for them. Emily is truly a professional in every sense of the word. When we had to postpone our wedding in 2020 she provided support, honest guidance and helped us reschedule everything for 2021. I know it was not an easy task. She made my fiancée and I feel comfortable to ask candid questions about all things wedding related which I very much appreciated. She also had the great advice on how to make the best of our time that day as it does fly by! Soiree Events will work with your wedding budget while helping you decide what matters most to you. Emily and her team take the time to really listen to what is important to you as a bride (and the groom!) and help make your vision come to life. Her recommendations for vendors were spot on. I grew up in Des Moines and have many friends and family in the city. Now my husband and I live in Newport Beach California. I was happy to hear that everyone Emily recommended for photography, makeup etc was highly regarded by my friends in Des Moines ( some of which are events coordinators themselves). I knew I was getting the best of the best in Des Moines! As the wedding planning progressed many of my friends and family commented on how calm I seemed and I told them I had no doubt my wedding would be amazing since I knew I was in good hands. I’ve been asked by many other women who are newly engaged what my top advice would be and each time I say “hire a wedding coordinator”. It was truly the best decision regarding my wedding I made after saying yes to the man of my dreams of course :). Ladies, do your future self a favor and hire Soiree Events! I have planned a ton of events in my lifetime - from being Vice President of recruitment for my sorority in college for 2 years and planning 4 day long recruitment (rush) events to planning firm events for 100+ professionals- I consider myself to be pretty good at amateur event planning. When it’s YOUR day you don’t want to have any stress or worry - you just want to enjoy. You don’t want to have your family or bridesmaids worrying about a timeline or any details. You want everyone around you to be happy and relaxed. If if you have that, you’ll have the best memories of your wedding. And your new husband will too!

I had the joy of working with Emily and Hayley on my wedding day, and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Emily was extremely supportive and flexible when we postponed a year due to the pandemic and she made the entire week of the wedding completely stress free - I was so over-prepared I almost didn't know what to do with myself! The wedding day itself was beautiful and exactly what we wanted, and Emily and Hayley helped make sure no one was stressed. They kept things running smoothly the whole day and it was completely flawless. Hire Soiree if you are feeling overwhelmed, it is SO worth it! -

Amazing! Excellent!
Oh my goodness. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Emily McMahon and the Soiree Team. I was so nervous about planning a wedding because I didn’t even know the first place to start. I needed advice and someone who would listen to me, be honest, and help create the ideas I had in my mind. I worked with Emily to create my vision. There aren’t enough words to express how fortunate I am to have had Emily throughout this process. She was amazing. I got engaged and started working with Emily before COVID started. Due to COVID, the world shut down in March and my wedding was in October. Throughout this time Emily helped both my mom and I with all of our uncertainties and questions, even if it was just listening to an emotional phone call from one of us.
Everything she did was above and beyond. She helped contact vendors, answered all my questions day or night, was extremely prompt and literally helped organize every single part of my wedding day so it flowed perfectly.
On the day of my wedding both Emily and Alexis were there and they did an outstanding job. Any request I had they had it taken care of right away. I felt so relaxed throughout my entire wedding day because I knew Alexis and Emily were handling all the set up, communication with vendors, and small details I wasn’t even thinking of!
If I could I would give them 10/5 stars. By the end of the wedding planning process Emily was a friend. I would not had the incredible day I had without her. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Soiree Wedding Planning - they are worth their weight in gold!!! -

Book Soiree NOW to have a stress free day!!
Like many brides, while starting to plan our wedding I was not planning to hire any event coordinator at the start of wedding planning. However, about 7 months out from our big day I realized if we did not have professionals to help us, that there would likely be extra stress on my mom and myself the day of our wedding. I met with Soiree about 6 months from our wedding date and booked them immediately; and the Soiree team is worth EVERY PENNY! I wish I would have met with them earlier! We worked with Emily, Caitlyn and Haley and they are all amazing! We did the essentials package - we were able to meet with the team twice before the wedding and they pointed out many details that we had not thought about as well as helped us with our day of timeline. They also checked up on us throughout the months leading up to the wedding to see if we had any questions; communication was great! Caitlyn and Haley were with us all day on our wedding day and I seriously can't imagine our day going so smoothly without their help/expertise. From keeping the bridal party on time, setting up table decor, assisting the photographer, serving the head table drinks during dinner, this list goes on and on! Plus, they are so fun to work with and bring a calming presence to the day. I was actually able to enjoy our wedding day since I knew the Soiree team was taking care of all the behind the scenes details and making sure everything was going as planned. Working with Emily on our wedding was the best decision we made in the whole process. She made a beautiful design for us and somehow turned my ideas into a gorgeous day. She was incredibly responsive and easy to work with and had the very best ideas. She also recommended the absolute best vendors-and helped us work closely with them to have everything just the way we wanted. She has so many great contacts and a person or idea for anything I could come up with.
Most importantly, she helped us focus on the fun and enjoyable parts of planning the wedding and I was so relaxed during the entire process thanks to her. We worked with Emily for almost 2 years and she was super flexible and understanding when we wanted to change our venue, which in turn moved our date up! The first time we sat down with Emily to discuss our vision she was so excited we wanted to add some Disney fairytale touches throughout our day and made sure we had those details in place. Emily created an amazing design plan early on that we always referred back to to make sure everything fit together perfectly. She was always available to meet either on weekends or over lucnh if we had things we wanted to go over last minute. Her expertise in the industry was key as she was able to recommend the vendors that would be able to make our vision from our design plan come to life! On the day of our wedding, Emily and Julia were there before we arrived and made sure that we were all drinking water and had something to eat. She also made sure that I walked around to make sure everything was setup to my liking before our vendors were done setting up. Emily coordinated our ceremony and had everyone walk down the aisle right on time. By having Emily there, my husband and I were able to enjoy the day with our friends and family instead of feeling stressed! A huge thank you to Emily and her team for helping us have the beautiful fairytale wedding we had always dreamed about! -

Choosing Soiree was easily the BEST choice I made for my wedding (other than my husband of course!)
Emily is absolutely amazing, she was there for the planning process, helping make those hard decisions. Helping reach out to vendors-she helped keep the planning moving along. I could not have survived the day of my wedding without her and her intern Emma! They were prepared for everything, they got us where we needed to be, brought snacks and drinks when we couldn’t get away to grab them for ourselves. She has the perfect advice and is able to be involved as much or as little as you need her! She also introduced us to an amazing photographer! Emily was very organized and detail oriented!
