Smash Events was simply incredible to work with. Dominique was our wedding planner. From our first meeting at a coffee shop, we knew she was the perfect fit—calm, cool, energetic, and knowledgeable about the Asheville area with strong connections to local vendors. She kept us on track while allowing us the space to make decisions. We had a seamless experience working with Smash Events for florals and catering as well!
The day of the wedding, Dominique was essential! Despite a huge rainstorm just two hours before the ceremony, she ensured everything was set up perfectly on the rooftop once the storm passed. The entire day—ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing—flowed beautifully, and she even helped us pull off an epic bubble exit! Thanks to her expertise, we never felt stressed during the process. Dominique's confidence, experience, and great vibes made our wedding truly epic.
As mentioned, we also worked with Ashley from Smash for catering and florals. I cannot tell you how perfectly Ashley met my vision for florals. When I saw the floral arrangements & my bouquet, I truly gasped! They were stunning and were the perfect balance of tropical, lush, and minimalist yet had a fullness that created a balanced and fun look! Plants and greens were artfully woven with vibrant flowers. I couldn’t have loved them more!
Ashely also was in charge of catering and dinnerware! She had a collection of lovely vintage floral plates that were perfection as well as vintage glassware. Our family style meal was timed nicely and our guests commented on how great the food was! Ashley also packed us up a to go meal - this was such a thoughtful gesture since we were honestly having too much fun with guests to fully appreciate the food!
We cannot recommend Ashley, Dominique, and the rest of the smash team more! They truly rock and are a dream to work with. -

I cannot recommend Smash Events enough! While they offer many services to be combined, I only required their catering and event coordinator services.
For the catering, we had an incredible tasting where Ashley was able to walk us through all our options and let us ask a million questions. She helped us play with design and flavors until it fit exactly what we were looking for. Everyone complimented us on the food day of and I'm sad there weren't more leftovers for us because we just wanted to keep eating it!!
For our day of coordinator, Dominique was a literal angel. Our wedding was a whole weekend so there was SO much planning, but Dominique handled every one of my stresses. Even day of when there were minor hiccups, not once did I feel overwhelmed because it was already handled. Dominique took all my ideas and comments and gave me the wedding of my dreams. Everything was on time and exactly what I was hoping for.
I truly got to just sit back and enjoy my wedding day and I could not have done that without Smash. They were so affordable and had so many different add-ons and options so I could truly get all the things I needed without any unnecessary items. -

Smash Events was absolutely incredible! The food was amazing — we received so many compliments from our guests, everyone couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. They truly knocked it out of the park!
The service was just as impressive. The team was so attentive, quick to help, and incredibly professional and polite throughout the entire event. Our buffet display looked gorgeous and was beautifully decorated — it added such an elegant touch to our reception.
Ashley was so easy to communicate from the first day we reached out. She was very flexible, accommodating and responsive to all emails.
I honestly couldn’t recommend a better caterer. Smash Events went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect, and we are so thankful for their hard work and talent! -

Of all of the people we hired for our wedding, Dominique was our best choice. She was so responsive to our many emails, so relaxed about the planning of the day, and so on top of every detail I never would have thought of. She felt like our advocate for the entire month leading up to the wedding, and, even though we only went with month-of service, she was still responsive and willing to help in the many months leading up to the wedding. Dominique brought my husband and I peace of mind through the whole process, and we are both so grateful that we had her.
Our wedding day went smoothly, and it was the best day ever. We had many people--even married people!--tell us that our wedding was the best they'd ever been to, and that is all thanks to Dominique's organization, people skills, and eye for the best way to do things. She was adaptable and not stressed about a thing, and that made it easier for my husband and I to just relax and enjoy the day! If you're wondering whether it's worth it to get a coordinator even for just a month, hear me when I say it's not only worth it, it's the best decision you could make for yourself and your future spouse. We used Smash for our wedding and everyone loved the BBQ buffet! There was plenty of food, and everyone flowed through the buffet line super smooth. We had plates brought to us at the head table and the wait staff made sure we had everything we needed, and packed us to go boxes for the end of the night! They had great vegan and vegetarian options for our guests as well. -

Best food and best service hands down. Ashley was so helpful through this entire process and super communicative. And as I already mentioned . THE FOOD WAS EVERYTHING. The presentation was stunning. The options were top tier . It was hard to pick and choose . Forever grateful for making our wedding day that much more memorable. Highly recommend. You don’t need to look for another caterer.

Smash Events catered our wedding and were so wonderful to work with! The food and presentation were amazing, and we had guests saying that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! Our wedding nearly got cancelled due to Hurricane Helene knocking out all power and water, but Ashley and her team were incredibly kind and helpful and worked hard to create backup plans in case the water at the venue wasn’t restored in time. We’re so appreciative of their flexibility and determination to make the wedding happen during such a stressful time, and highly recommend them! -

We used Smash Events for our month of coordinator for our wedding at Highland Brewing. We made a lot of decisions regarding our wedding but this one was ESSENTIAL to making our day run smoothly. I cannot say enough good things about Dominique. She felt like so much more than a month of coordinator- giving us tips and recommendations throughout our wedding planning process. She was so responsive and kind. As a type A bride I had zero doubts handing things over to her for the day. All of those little details you can't think of or remember for your day? She has all the answers, tips and tricks! Not to mention everyone in the area knows and loves her. On the day of our wedding we just showed up and enjoyed our day in peace knowing she had everything covered. She executed the timeline perfectly and not a single thing went wrong and I owe this to her! Amazing to work with in every way- if you're unsure if you need a month of planner or more... this is your sign to do it, trust me it's worth every penny! -

Smash is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! I ended up using them for EVERYTHING - catering, desserts, florals, and planning. Each one was absolutely amazing. For catering, we went with a buffet style and everything was soooo delicious. We got so many compliments on our food, from our appetizers to the actual dinner. We specifically got MANY compliments on the steak which was incredible. We also did our desserts through them and they were AMAZING. We did multiple desserts as well as a cake, and again received so many compliments on all of them, especially the sesame cookie which had such a unique flavor profile. Ashley, who owns and runs everything, is extremely responsive and helpful. I felt like multiple times they went out of their way to accommodate me but never made it seem like a big deal. My husband wanted a very specific type of hot dog for the late night snack, and they were able to do those. They helped to come up with mocktail ideas and the signature drinks they made were amazing. It was also very easy to book my plates, silverware, etc through them as well. My florals were gorgeous - I was not somebody who came in with anything very specific for florals, and what they created with very little guidance from me was beautiful. Finally, Dominique (planning) is amazing. She is the perfect mix of relaxed but directive. I never once felt rushed or lost or stressed, which I think is a true testament to her character, style, and actual planning. I was initially hesitant to book everything through them because it seemed too good to be true. But I have absolutely 0 regrets and I would do it 1000 times over. Thank you Smash to helping to put together the best night of my life. -

We hired Dominique as our month of wedding coordinator and if I could do it all again, I would hire her for full service planning! Seriously. She was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond and helped make our big day the most magical experience. Everything was seamless. We are so grateful that we got to work with her- she was invaluable. -

I am so happy we booked Smash Events for our wedding dinner! From the very start, Ashley was so nice and easy to work with. I knew I wanted a Family Style meal as a way of connecting everyone at tables and "breaking bread" so to speak. Not only did Smash do this wonderfully, it looked and tasted absolutely amazing. The little details did not go unnoticed by my husband and I, or our guests. We got so many compliments on how good the food was, and it can be hard to please 100 people and make sure all dietary restrictions are handled appropriately. Ashley and her team did all of that seamlessly. They also helped us pick out our settings, which were an absolutely dream! We went with the mismatched vintage plates and clear goblets, and It added such a nice tough to our reception. I can't recommend them enough - they were truly amazing and handled everything from start to finish. Thank you so much, Ashley and the Smash Events Team. You are amazing!

Great team, great commununication, even better food and service.
Ashley was extremely easy to work with and responsive. They came to our Airbnb and cooked, cleaned up, served, and had a bartender. Everyone was extremely impressed by the food and service. Would work with them again in a heartbeat! -

I hired Dominique in September of 2019 to plan my June 2020 wedding. You see where this is going...3 reschedules later, we FINALLY had our celebration in September 2022. Dominique was there through every postponement, contract adjustment, guest count change, vendor shakeup, seasonal tweak, all of it. I can't say enough about her flexibility, patience, professionalism, and support through all of that chaos. and our day was PERFECT! Wouldn't have changed a thing, and I know that's due in large part to her work behind the scenes.
We also used Smash for our floral needs, and Ashley nailed it. After 3ish years of planning I was a little scattered by the end, but she kept my vision in check and blew it out of the water. I'd hire both of them again in a heartbeat. -

We hired Smash as our caterer for our New Year's Eve wedding, and it was a great decision!! They came highly recommended from our venue, Highland Brewing, and as soon as we had our tasting we knew we'd made the right choice. Their food is amazing, they have so many options to choose from, and everything we had was delicious. The "Smash Bash" package is a great deal for everything you get – plates/silverware/napkins/etc, appetizers, salad, entrees, desserts, and a late night snack! Our guests loved all the food and the s'more bar we had for dessert was so much fun. The Smash team is super friendly, professional & easy to work with, and I'd highly recommend them for anyone getting married in the AVL area! -

After doing some research I found Dominique with Smash, and BOY OH BOY did we luck out with that! Dominique is the BEST! Friendly, responsive, incredibly helpful, she handled last minute family requests and changes with grace and aptitude. There is no one better to help you with your wedding.
After deciding to work with Smash for planning we ended up working with them for catering and floral as well. Everyone says that guests never notice your floral, well if you work with Smash that will not be the case, 6 months later I am still getting compliments about their designs. I had given them a general outline of the asthetic that I wanted and they took my vision and brought it to life better than I could have ever imagined. I am so incredibly lucky to have worked with this team.

TL;DR: SMASH IS AMAZING! We planned a three-day summer camp wedding and were looking for a caterer who could provide two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners -- all vegetarian. We spoke to a few vendors before settling on Smash. And boy did we make the right decision. From the get-go, Ashley and her team were enthusiastic about our vision. They were game for cooking all of our favorite foods; our meals included tacos, Carolina BBQ, paninis, biscuits and gravy, and an Asian noodle station. Not only was the food delicious, but the service (hi, Liz!) was incredible. They were unbelievably organized, managing to pull off six meals without a hitch, and every single Smash staff member was friendly and helpful. I also really appreciated Smash's commitment to environmentally and socially responsible practices, including paying a living wage and composting food scraps (at our request). I can't tell you how many guests raved about the food (even though most of them were not vegetarian) and the service. We are so grateful to them for making our wedding such a memorable and delicious event -- and would recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer! -

Okay when I say that our guests won't stop talking about our food - I mean it!! If you have been looking for a caterer for your wedding, you can stop here and book Smash. It was a big goal of mine for our guests to be able to enjoy our food at our wedding. We decided to do stations and people ranted and raved about the Steakhouse and Southern Favorites stations. There was plenty of food for all of our guests and people also loved the sliders for the passed appetizers! Dominique was absolutely incredible! She helped us choose the best team of vendors with our budget in mind and made our vision come completely to light. All of our guests were blown away by how flawless the entire day went and it was 100% due to Dominique. She was completely blended into the backround yet would appear out of nowhere ready to help, my husband said he was outside trying to light a cigar and she popped up out of completely nowhere and helped him. My bridesmaid was helping bustle my dress and suddenly same thing she just popped up and helped. She took all the stress out of planning and was just such a pleasure to work with that she felt like an instant friend. I don't know how anyone could plan a wedding without her. -

I was referred to Smash Events by my wedding photographer, and let me say it was one of the best wedding vendor choices I made. Dominique was an EXCELLENT month-of coordinator, and to be honest, she did so much more work than just the month-of. She was responsive, professional and so very helpful with everything I needed. Best of all is her easy going and calm nature; it rained on our wedding day, and when I was stressed, she kept me sane and everything was beautiful. My personality is such that I don't like giving up control, but Dominique made me feel confident in doing so and really helped the day run so smoothly. We also used Smash for our florals, and Ashley did an amazing job, especially with the ceremony arch and reception space installation. On top of it all, Smash Events is so affordable, which is of course a welcomed surprise in the wedding industry. I cannot recommend working with Smash enough! -

About two months prior to my date I changed my entire vision - she made sure to make me very note and helped me make choices on what would look best. We booked Smash for catering, floral, and planning for our Oct 17, 2020 wedding that ended up being in the middle of Covid-19 changes. I am SO glad we went with Smash because they absolutely know exactly what they're doing! I asked Ashley for so many food swaps, alterations to dishes, and even requests that weren't on the sample menu (my extended family are picky eaters) and she was so accommodating and never made me feel like I was asking too much! The floral she designed was also completely gorgeous! Though I never found the ideal bouquet inspiration picture to show her, Ashley somehow created my perfect bouquet and also made a floral clip for my hair which was one of my favorite details of the day!
We also had the pleasure of working with Dominique for planning and she was just as wonderful! She handled so many details, from the big ones like coordinating rentals and running rehearsal to small things like bustling my dress and finding the perfect spot to hang our custom neon sign that we loved. My family kept expecting for there to be things they needed to do throughout the day (you always expect at least a little stress on your wedding day, right?) but Dominique and Ashley handled it all!
If you want the most seamless wedding day possible and to work with such kind and talented people, you need to book Smash! -

Amazing food and service!
Ashley was so responsive and helpful during the ever changing plans of the Covid-19 crisis. She was accommodating for our tasting. And her food blew our minds. Her menu was diverse and fun! So many different options and styles to go with. We used her for both our wedding and rehearsal dinner. For the wedding we did stations, a taco bar, kids table, and grilled cheese station. There was no shortage of food, the stations were beautifully displayed and so many guests raved about the quality of the food! The wait staff was friendly and helpful. For the rehearsal dinner we had a bbq spread. Sooo good! There was no shortage of food for either event and Ashley offered to box the food up for left overs or donate to a local shelter. Ashley and her staff are an amazing team and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. They also have a mobile food truck I would totally recommend trying if you see them in the Asheville area!

Smash was amazing at working with us when we had to reschedule our larger ceremony/party due to covid! We were able to book them again for 2021. We also decided to elope on our original wedding date and Smash agreed to cater a dinner for two for us. They helped make a potentially disappointing set of circumstances into a really special night for me and my husband. Also, the food is absolutely amazing!!!
Update: Smash an amazing job catering our wedding weekend. We had Ashley and her team cater the wedding, rehearsal dinner, and breakfast at our venue. They were totally accommodating for dietary requests and the food was AMAZING. Everyone was talking about how good everything was for weeks. Thanks so much guys!!!!! -

Smash Events wears many hats and is FANTASTIC at them all! They were our caterers, bartenders, and event assistants at the wedding, and they NAILED IT!
The food (for both the cocktail hour and dinner) were delicious and beautifully presented. The bartenders were fun and attentive. The staff was friendly, helpful, and a step ahead of our needs.
Needless to say, they know what they're doing, and they're doing it right.
Any and all questions were answered timely and professionally. They eased us through the process of planning this out-of-state destination wedding.
On our special day, Smash Events made our guests feel at ease with their hospitality, and truly brought the day together with their attentiveness and flexibility.

I cannot speak highly enough of this team! Just WOW! We were so lucky to hire Smash for planning, floral, and catering services. A true one stop shop. If you want an easy, cool, and reliable team to work with, these are your people.
Dominique was the most incredible wedding planner I could imagine. She is kind, calm, professional, organized, funny, and an absolute joy to be around. She kept me on track and kept my nerves at bay. Ashley is an expert florist and designer. She understood my vision and brought it to life. The catering was delicious, with a gorgeous presentation. Smash Events catered our wedding to perfection. We had a great initial meeting with them where they make you some test plates of their most popular dishes, then they help you create a cohesive menu for you and your guests with advice and suggestions. One of the most important things was that they provide vegetarian and gluten free options for some of our guests, and they more than came through with a variety of dishes that filled up everyone. All of the food was well prepared, well displayed, and absolutely delicious. They also made sure we were fed as well by bringing us plates personally. By the end of the night, they were completely cleaned up and cleared out, making the whole night easy and worry free. -

Wow, just wow!! How can I express how amazing Ashley and her team are?!? I used Smash Events for catering, floral, and wedding coordination (Dominique) and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Ashley's client's dreams are her dreams. She is amazingly talented, doing all sorts of different events, but she makes you feel like your event is her favorite! She delights in learning your personality and tastes, being creative, and making your day a million times better than expected! I emailed her in a panic, at the last minute questioning the florals I'd asked for. She asked me a few questions and in seconds, her brilliant mind crafted the most amazing plan! I walked into the space the day of and was overcome with emotion at how perfectly she had understood my vision and executed above expectations! Smash's food is incredible...everything is the best version of that food you've ever tasted, trust me, and guests commented that it was better than the 5 star dinner they had had the night before! Presentation is awesome, an art of its own, and creatively blending effortlessly into the space. Lastly, coordination...Dominique was fantastic! I emailed her way too many documents full of questions, details, schedules, and lists and she kept them all straight, read every last word, and executed flawlessly! She has a great eye and took all of our visions and made them 100x better, making great suggestions, keeping everyone calm and on time, and ensuring we had everything we needed! It was a tremendous bonus to have our coordinator, caterer, and florist all connected, all on the same page, used to one another's flow, and blending everything together perfectly! I cannot say enough about Smash Events and I absolutely promise that if you book them, you will not be disappointed!!! -

Ashley and the Smash Events Team did an EPIC job for our wedding. We worked with Smash for our food and flowers which was a big help as my husband and I planned our wedding while living in Europe.
I had almost decided to go with a different vendor but decided to email Ashley on a whim. She wrote back almost immediately! When I read the quote I couldn’t believe it. The quote was very affordable and had the add in bonus of a late night FOOD TRUCK at the end of the night. When I read that, I was SOLD!
As we were living so far away we had to make a food vendor choice before trying the food. Ashley and the Smash Events Team had already catered weddings at my venue Honeysuckle Hill and had awesome reviews online. I trusted my gut and we were not disappointed.
As we continued to plan our wedding I learned that the Smash Events Team could add in flowers. I figured it was a no brainer to bundle the two together and working with less people made it one less thing for us to worry about.
We were able to meet with Ashley in person during our very short visit during the December holidays. She was WONDERFUL! We had the best time at our tasting and the food was incredible. As Ashley had worked in the venue she was a great person to bounce ideas off of for my vision.
We just had our wedding a week ago. Everything was beautiful and delicious! The flowers were gorgeous really adding a romantic touch to the venue. The food was incredible and portions were HUGE! No one went hungry. I am still dreaming about the chicken and waffle bites. We also added in a s’mores bar which was a fun touch and I believe will be a lifelong memory for all the kiddos in attendance - they were loving it and gave them an exciting activity for the end the night.

Charlene Sent on 09/30/2018We had a welcome party the night before our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. It was a destination wedding which we had never been to the venue or tasted the food. Shot in the dark. Ashley was so professional, always responded to my calls and emails as soon as she received them, and walked me through the whole event. Can't express enough how pleased we were with the staff, the service, but most of all the food! Absolutely delicious, good comments from the guests, and very creative. I highly recommend the food and the staff!

They are so helpful, so knowledgeable, and the food was SO GOOD!!! I recommend them 100%. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator, choose Dominique! She was patient, kind and had the best ideas. She executed everything flawlessly and made sure we stayed on track. I cannot say enough nice things about working with her!
