We were so incredibly lucky to have found Sky Retreat for out wedding venue! From the moment we pulled onto the property, we knew it was the perfect fit! The views are absolutely incredible - and the team was amazing and so much fun to work with. They were so responsive and willing to answer all of the questions I had along the way. Our guests had a blast and could not stop raving about how breathtaking the venue was. We also highly recommend staying on the property after the celebrations! We had the best weekend of our lives and cannot thank Sky Retreat enough!

As a wedsing vendor myself, I have experienced dozens of high country venues as there are many to choose from. When I was taking my then fiance on a tour of my top 5, inside I knew Sky Retreat would be her choice. I was right, naturally!!!

We rented the venue and cabins for the span of two days... Beth, Dalton, and Vito went out of there way to accomodate our needs and feel welcomed.

The staff and the venue are amazing! Each member is very easy to work with. They took care of all of our needs and more! We were greeted with a smile from the very beginning. Being that we are very detail oriented, they did a fantastic job making sure our dream wedding came true. This venue includes so many things already in its package that it really took a lot of pressure off wedding planning. Highly recommended. Great food, great staff, wonderful vendors and great ownership! Thank you staff for everything you did. All of our family and friends enjoyed every part of it.

They say rain is good luck on a wedding day, we think that it also counts on a foggy day. We originally picked Sky Retreat for the view and location, and we're so happy with the service from the team at Sky Retreat and the venue was gorgeous on a foggy day as well. It was a great location that allowed us flexibility and was just the right size for our wedding. Even with planning from a distance, it was great to work with the team at Sky Retreat.

My now husband and I visited this venue during our planning process and immediately fell head over heels for it. The staff and owners were super helpful and courteous throughout our experience. Our wedding day was made magical, in no small part, due to the event space. Highly highly recommend Sky Retreat!

Sky Retreat is an ultimate wedding destination. The views are gorgeous and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location to host my wedding. Brand new cabinets on site we are such a convenience and added bonus for all of our guests to make a fun vacation experience for all of our guests at the wedding.

We had our wedding at Sky Retreat eight weeks ago. I had an extremely hard time deciding between so many beautiful High Country venues. There were three reasons Sky Retreat won out: the views, the Parkway drive up, and the covered porch. The fact that everything else was perfection heightened the whole experience into a choice that the two of us, our family, and our friends could not have been happier with.

The venue is kind of magical. You look down on the charming cabins on one side, and across breathtaking mountain vistas on the other. You get views from anywhere you choose to have your ceremony or dinner. Inside there are almost floor-to-ceiling windows and otherwise a blank canvas room to do with as you wish. Outside you can have your ceremony on the pavers or the grass. We had only twenty guests so we were able to have dinner on the patio, perfect for this never-ending pandemic.

Our caterer (Earthworks) raved about the kitchen set up here before we even booked it, and he even had tons of space outside out of sight to set up his wood grill for the veggies and local trout he served. It was awesome. Our photographer (Enowen) got incredible shots of us at sunset with the views behind us and the mountain breeze ruffling my dress.

The bridal dressing room has a comfy couch and a nice long makeup counter with a full wall mirror. I was the only one getting my hair and makeup done professionally in there, but if you have a large bridal party who are all getting ready at the same time it won’t be big enough. The dressing area is also one room with the toilets separated by a curtain which felt less than ideal, and I had to drag my dress into the handicap stall to get dressed in order to have privacy. The men’s dressing area is also in their bathroom and not separated in any way. This was really the only downside of the venue for me and my pee-shy friends. On the plus side, everything about the venue is truly wheelchair accessible.

Merin answered every question I had so quickly and could not have been nicer and Vitold worked so hard setting everything up and tearing it down to our exact specifications (don’t forget to give him a nice cash tip).

We could not have had a more perfect wedding! Sky retreat is awesome and the staff is amazing, attentive and on top of everything! Everyone who came said it was one of the prettiest wedding locations they had ever seen!

We had our wedding at Sky Retreat on 4/20/2019. The weather did not cooperate with us and we experienced unseasonable chills, freezing rain, and had the most AMAZING wedding in the history of weddings. The Sky Retreat team were accommodating in every way from rehearsal to setup and cleanup. We had to move the ceremony from the lawn to the veranda and it was the perfect setting in every way with an incredible view. I'd recommend Sky Retreat and their team to anyone looking to get hitched in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Sky Retreat is a magical space, and I'm reminded of that every time we walked in for our wedding dance lessons. It became a wonderful date night experience for me and my fiance. The wedding was beautiful and everyone enjoyed long range views and the beautiful and expensive ballroom where we held reception.

On October 12th, we had our dream wedding at the most beautiful wedding venue in the high country. It still feels like a fairytale ... The raw beauty of the Blueridge Mountains coupled with the crystal chandeliers of the Sky Retreat's ballroom is simply unparallel. From the moment we booked the venue until the very end of our wedding we were so well-taken care of! The Sky Retreat team's professionalism, prompt communication and reliability are everything you could ever want in a wedding venue. We couldn't be happier we chose the Sky Retreat!

This venue was amazing! If you can make it up the mountain road (we all did!!) you won’t regret a second of it!! Lovely setting, really nice and great staff available to help with smiles !

If we had to do it again, we would rebook the Sky Retreat immediately. They were super friendly and easy to work with. You cannot beat the views. It felt like we were on the edge of the world. We were also able to host our rehearsal dinner here which was very helpful. Our close friends loved staying in the cabins on-site, and we did too. The reception banquet hall is beautiful and modern, and it complements the views outside very well. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough, and I have already recommended it to a couple of my newly engaged friends! I highly recommend adding the donkeys and goats to the reception. They were a hit with our guests and offered a unique wedding experience!

My wife and I had our wedding reception here last month. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. The entire evening was absolutely incredible. He was exceptional and really went out of his way to make our experience unique. The staff, service and food were equally phenomenal. Thank you Sky Retreat for a great wedding reception and a night we will never forget.

Sky Retreat is absolutely breathtaking! The view and venue are gorgeous and their staff is so helpful and kind! Merin, Dima, Vito, and Anna were all so sweet and knowledgeable, and so easy to work with! They genuinely want to make your day the best it can be, and they helped in making the wedding planning process so much easier too. 11/10 recommend this venue!

We attended a wedding at Sky Retreat recently and the venue was amazing. Great atmosphere and service. Impeccable with all the details and everyone enjoyed themselves. The lodging on site was a huge benefit and convenience. The cabins are so cute and cozy. My wife and I even took a tandem paragliding flight which is offered right next to the banquet hall.

Sky Retreat is a gorgeous venue and Dima Amd Merin were extremely helpful and responsive when emailing with questions and wanting to set up appointments to view the venue! Not only it’s a perfect wedding venue but they teach ballroom dancing, offer tandem paragliding flights, and have beautiful little cabins right on site. We highly recommend it!!!

Everyone we worked with at Sky Retreat for our wedding was amazing! They were so incredibly helpful every step of the way. All of them went out of their way to help us and make sure our wedding was exactly how we wanted it to be. They are truly some of the kindest people I've ever met and I can't recommend them enough!

I am so glad we had my daughter's wedding at Sky Retreat. Not only are the views spectacular but the staff is too. They are very easy to work with and very helpful. The cabins right on the grounds are an extra bonus. I would highly recommend this venue.

The Sky Retreat was absolutely perfect and so so beautiful! Everyone was so extremely helpful with everything, from pricing to donkeys to just any and every question we had. We had a very small ceremony and rented the cabins they offered. My whole party talked about visiting again. I can’t recommend Sky Retreat enough!

My daughter was married at Sky Retreat on 10/5. I cannot say enough about this venue. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. From the gorgeous, huge chandeliers in the spacious ballroom to the large veranda with a wrap around porch, truly the view is second to none. There are cabins on the property that are held so they can be rented for your wedding weekend, as we did. This was so helpful for our out-of-state guests and us for being there early for setting up. The kids loved the stocked pond and large swings. When low clouds sat on the mountain the day of the wedding, Vito jumped in and set the chairs up on the veranda and then quickly changed it over for the cocktail hour when the ceremony was finished. He was so easy to work with and was there to make sure everything went smoothly, and it did. There is no way to go wrong with this venue. The view from the ballroom is breathtaking. Schedule a visit. You will fall in love and your pictures will be amazing.

Sky Retreat in Purlear, NC, honestly feels like a little slice of heaven for anyone tying the knot. First off, let’s chat about the mountain views – they're absolutely breathtaking! You’ve got these stunning panoramic vistas that make every photo look like it’s straight out of a fairytale. Whether you’re gazing out during a sunny day or catching the golden hues of sunset, it’s like Mother Nature herself RSVP’d yes to your big day.

Now, onto the staff. These folks are the real MVPs. They’re super friendly, incredibly helpful, and always ready with a smile. It’s like having a team of fairy godmothers and godfathers making sure your day goes off without a hitch. From the moment we started planning to the final send-off, they were there, offering support, advice, and sometimes just a calming presence.

And then there’s the customer service. Top-notch doesn’t even begin to cover it. These guys are attentive, responsive, and genuinely care about making your day special. They're quick to tackle any little hiccup and are all about the details, which, let’s be honest, is what makes or breaks a wedding day.
