Hire SK Events
Amanda is an absolute pro in the planning business. She knew exactly how to break down the wedding process into sections that made everything feel seamless and simple. Her vendor recommendations were incredible, and we loved every single one we chose. We went into planning with a “no regrets” attitude, and our best decision—hands down—was hiring SK Events and having Amanda as our planner for our wedding at The Broadmoor.
Even with the inevitable pivots and hiccups (because they always happen!), nothing ever fazed Amanda. She handled everything with calm confidence and turned our Broadmoor wedding vision into reality. It all starts with a great planner, and Amanda truly was the best. -

We looked around for quite a while to find the right planner for the right price and after much time landed on SK Events. From the very first intro call Sammy was very confident, bubbly, and eager to make our vision come to life. We planned for about a year and throughout the whole thing we felt very taken care of. Loved working with Sammy from SK Events
We hired SK Events to help plan our wedding weekend and I am so glad we did! From the moment we started working together a year out from my wedding date, Sammy was on top of the planning and we quickly secured all of our vendors. She guided us through design ideas and execution, assisted with contracts, and made the entire wedding weekend feel seamless. Sammy's connections with vendors came in very handy as well. Pro tip, hire your planner to coordinate your night before! We added this service a few months in and it was one of the best decisions we made, it allowed us to be fully present from the beginning without worrying about any last-minute details. We couldn’t be happier with how smooth the planning process felt and how beautifully the entire Broadmoor destination wedding weekend came together. The SK Events team truly exceeded our expectations! -

Wonderful simple wedding experience
As a bride for the second time, my goal was to be fully present with my husband and family. Stephany helped me do just that. She made sure everything was perfect and all I had to do show up and marry my husband.

With a tight deadline, Jillian went above & beyond to work magic. Within a weeks time frame she handled all the vendors, contracts, and venue at the Broadmoor Hotel. Not only did Jillian handle all vendors, but she also helped with communication between myself and the hotel. Planning a destination wedding with only 3 months, I expected to be stressed at every turn. Jillian was AMAZING! I would recommend SK Events to anyone and everyone. Very professional, thoughtful and considerate of everyone's needs. -

It's hard to find the right words to describe how wonderful it was to work with Stephany and her SK Events team. Stephany came highly recommended by two different people when we began the wedding process, and we are so grateful we hired her! She was so easy and enthusiastic as we planned our dream wedding the last 17 months. Stephany worked well with our vendor team, helped iron out some weekend details and deliver quality on the big day! I will actually miss emailing and texting with her now that our wedding is behind us. She was professional, but also so personable to the wedding party, but also everyone she came into contact with during our wedding weekend. Even helping to get my grandparents to family photos when they went to the wrong location.

Working with SK Events was the best decision I made for my wedding. Working with Amanda Peters was so amazing. She helped us so much with vendor recommendations and really was able to keep communication with the vendors all the way through the planning process so everyone was on the same page. On wedding day, it could not have gone more perfect. She made everything seamless and had everyone where they needed to be and doing what they need to be doing all while supporting me through the day. Having her that day made it so my mom could really enjoy herself and not have to run around trying to figure things out. Our wedding went so well and I know it would not have been the same without Amanda. You will be thanking yourself later for getting a wedding planner!!! -

Stephany was absolutely a dream to work with for our wedding at the Broadmoor in May. She has such great relationships with the venue it made the whole process seamless. Stephany was so responsive and amazing in identifying the vision of the day, it turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined. I am located overseas and Stephany kept the whole process of wedding planning moving smoothly, even with me time zones away. She has great relationships with great Colorado Springs vendors which was key in designing our day as well. -

Jillian was my wedding planner, and I cannot tell you how she was worth every single penny and even more. Not only is she personable and feels like a friend but she is knowledgeable and has impeccable and classy taste so she is able to make good decisions if you need her to or guide you in the right direction if you become overwhelmed. Jillian was the absolute BEST wedding planner ever for my wedding at the Broadmoor!! As a type A, very organized bride, with many moving pieces at my wedding, I was concerned that no planner would be able to keep up and Jillian exceed my expectations. Her attention to detail was unmatched – she would think of things that I would have never considered and was able to brainstorm ideas to help my vision come to life. From the beginning of planning, she was on top of things by sending me monthly recaps of what we were on schedule with and things that we needed to work on. She was so spot on with understanding where I was coming from with budget expectations and vendor referrals and was willing to think out of the box for anything that I would throw her way. I was able to be honest with her on things that I liked/ disliked and if it just seemed unfeasible (and she was open about all of this too). As an indecisive bride, having to make a million decisions for everything was overwhelming at times, but Jillian was able to be the voice of reason/ another opinion that I needed. Whether that came down to choosing a photographer, or scaling back on floral design to stay within a reasonable budget, she was right there.
In addition, her communication with vendors is unmatched. As SK Events is a Broadmoor “preferred/ recommended” planner, Jillian had all of the connections at the Broadmoor and knew of the best vendors to work with. Besides the Broadmoor, Jillian would be a great planner for any wedding at any venue (and everyone from the SK team!). She was so professional when it came to emails and calls with vendors and knew all of the right questions to ask. When it came time for the day of the wedding, her schedules and follow ups with vendors were incredible. She even took the time to make personalized schedules for bridesmaids vs. groomsmen, bride’s parents vs. groom’s parents, and a unique one for each vendor. During the day of the wedding, she was so on top of the schedule and sticking to it, without being abrasive. She would come up to me throughout the day just to make sure I was good and having fun and enjoying myself with my husband. I felt so stress free and at ease on the day of the wedding because I knew Jillian would make everything perfect, as I expected. When I say that her organization and level of dedication are unmatched, I MEAN IT. She even drove up to Denver to help me stuff invitations because she knew I was feeling overwhelmed and wanted them mailed by a specific date. Besides being a great wedding planner, she is a great person to call a (new) friend and felt like my best friend during my 12 months of wedding planning, which was key!
Everyone at the SK team is amazing. From my first call with Stephany to gauge interest in hiring them, Stephany completely understood my vision and the level of commitment that I needed. She was so easy to talk to and she stood out as a wedding planner and business owner from the get go. Isabella and Shanna helped Jillian on my wedding day and they were so on top of it. My hair was falling down at one point and they were there to fix it. My dress needed bustling and they were there helping me out. Everything was so seamless and perfect and it would not have been the same without SK Events. I would recommend them to anyone 1000 times over!!!

The team at SK Events worked tirelessly to accomplish our wedding. The event was a luxury destination wedding by every standard. 3 days of celebration with around 250 of our closest friends and family.
Their determination and organization shined while helping us create my wife's fairytale. From start to finish Stephany and her team executed everything we asked. Even at times when we couldn't decide what to do. She organized, planned, and worked with the other vendors to provide fluid and detail-oriented results. Making sure the countless moving parts all worked together. Creating a result that shined as we enjoyed the most important day of our life. -

If you are getting married in Colorado...
I initially spoke with a couple of wedding planners, but decided on SK Event Specialists after reading through reviews. After I met Stephanie, I knew I had made the right decision.
I consider myself to be pretty good at party planning, but planning one's own wedding is completely different. We had the wonderful opportunity of working with Jillian Pohlman. She is AMAZING! She made a lot of great suggestions and was very good at guiding us through our wedding planning.
Jillian took everything over and we did not have to worry about anything on our wedding day. She is such a lovely person and we are still amazed at the fantastic job she did from beginning to end. There are no words to say how much we appreciate everything she did.
If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, just hire SK Events Specialists. It is worth every penny and your peace of mind.

We had barely 6 weeks to pull together the wedding of a lifetime in the midst of Crazy Covid. It would not have been possible w/o Stephany. Her experience, professionalism, and fantastic personality made the entire journey a JOY-filled experience. Everyone who encountered her had only lovely feedback. Could I have found a cheaper Planner? Probably. But I wouldn't want to risk it when time was of the essence. I had such supernatural PEACE throughout the journey. THAT is priceless. I interviewed several event planning companies and from the first conversation with the owner, Stephany, I knew SK Events was the right fit for us. They had multiple packages available and were willing to customize those so we could get exactly what we needed. They also had a wonderful online portal that let me, as a crazy Type A person, see all tasks, details, timelines etc.
Not only were we out of town, but we were one of the many weddings caught up with COVID and had to reschedule our entire event, which meant I had a new baby when we were finally able to have the wedding. SK Events was fantastic to work with through that whole process! I was able to work with one of their lead planners, Jillian, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. I am a pretty critical person, and I just have nothing that I would have changed. Jillian was professional, warm, and an absolute joy. She made us feel like our wedding was the only event she was working on. If not for her, I would not have remained glued together. She not only achieved that, but due to her amazing organizational and diplomatic skills, I actually got to enjoy my wedding! I even changed something on her last minute and she was fantastic at adapting and making it feel seamless. Jillian is amazing. If I ever had another event that needed planning, I would use SK Events in a heartbeat. -

Incredible event specialists
Exactly why the word "specialist" is important here. Can't tell you how many times leading up to my daughter and son in laws July wedding, I said to my beautiful daughter, thank goodness we have SK Events to support us. Here's why-
· Jillian, our consultant, was very organized, was a step ahead of us in implementing our details. Both she and Stephanie stayed in constant contact with our vendors and us. They ask the questions we didn't know to ask.
· Because of Covid, almost weekly leading up to the wedding, something had to be changed to our plans. On the afternoon of the Rehearsal Dinner, our photographer canceled due to testing positive. Immediately Jillian reached out to her quality vendor list and found us Cassidy Brooke Photography, another huge blessing. Before dinner, she had a photography team in place because she negotiated our contracts and made the transition happen quickly.
· SK staff are fun and enjoyable, but sharp and smart. They helped us stay calm and grounded during our weekend wedding celebration hosted at the Broadmoor Hotel and, best of all, made it possible for us to have a blast!
· Our vendors, the resort, our fabulous florist Southern Charm had worked together before, so they knew what to expect from one another. Another plus!
· Grass doesn't grow under SK's feet. They get going from the start with inventive and resourceful ideas, which facilitated my daughter's vision.
The value and security we felt using SK Events was invaluable. -

Fairy Tale Wedding
Jillian helped to make my fairy tale wedding a reality. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. She worked endlessly, and was so quick to respond to any questions. She worked well will the florist, photographer, beauticians, DJ, and venue to make sure every minute of the day of was ready to go. SK Events, and more importantly Stephany, was absolutely amazing for my wedding. Stephany always responded in a timely manner when I needed something. She made sure we were on the same track with everything happening and the ‘day of’ schedule is greatest thing EVER, and so everyone knows what is happening, when, and where. She kept my wedding running so smoothly, it was a flawless wedding (there were no hiccups, yes crazy impossible, but it’s true). Stephany also made sure that the wedding was everything me and my husband wanted. She gave suggestions, which is always helpful, but she also made sure that what we wanted was done. I also really appreciated that Stephany puts the bride and groom first. With family wanting different things, Stephany would make sure to ask us directly, “what do YOU want to do”. I appreciated this because on a crazy wedding weekend where your head is spinning, Stephany is a great person to look towards. I could go on and say nothing but amazing things about SK events! But in all, SK Events was perfect for me and my husband and Stephany is absolutely incredible. Thank you for the most amazing day! -

Planning an out of state wedding? SK Event Specialists, L.L.C. is EXCELLENT!
We hired Stephany, with SK Event Specialists to coordinate the "Day Of" my daughter's October 5, 2019 wedding. She took all of our contracts with vendors, reviewed and laid out an amazing timeline for everyone to follow. She took the stress out of what could be a stressful day and made it a day that we all thoroughly enjoyed. She even went up and beyond to help the Bride find a "rover" for her Golden Retriever puppy and organize with the photographers a time for the puppy to show up for wedding pictures.
Stephany has amazing organizational skills and made the day of the wedding wonderful. -

I met Stephany as she is our most preferred planner at Wild Canyon ranch. The past two years our relationship has became very very close. When it’s my turn to get married, Stephany did not hesitate to say yes to me. She originally really did not want tot take any payment as she has really treated us like family. It was very flattering and very generous of her but I didn’t think it was fair for me to take her service for free as I know how hard she works to make a brides day prefect so she offered me a great discount and boom! My wedding was 8/24/19. She made it smooth and fun for us. I couldn’t have made it without her. She is funny, very work-oriented and truly look out for what’s best for the bride and groom’s big day! Stephany could not have been more on top of every detail. She reminded us to feed ourselves including the entire bridal party prior to the ceremony. She made a thorough timeline to keep us on time.
