I don't even know where to begin. Ann Marie probably carried our entire wedding -- right down to the actual day when I had last-minute issues keeping my wedding dress up. (No big deal. Yes she fixed it!) Hosting formal events is not our thing and we were completely overwhelmed with the idea but she expertly navigated us through the whole process. On the day of the wedding, we knew we could breathe and enjoy the experience because she had everything -- I mean everything -- handled, down to the millisecond. Jay, who helped us on our wedding day, was also incredibly kind and attentive. We would recommend Ann Marie and the team at Simply Styled to anyone. -

My wife and I hired Simply Styled Events for the month-of/day-of services, and had an absolutely perfect wedding day! I cannot imagine it would have happened without Emily's help! She was not only fantastic with planning, executing, and managing vendors, Emily really helped us both feel comfortable and prepared. My wife simply said, "I really feel like Emily's got my back" - which may not translate to a text review perfectly, but it was a powerful statement amidst the stress of wedding planning. Would HIGHLY recommend their services to anybody! -

Hiring Ann Marie as our wedding planner was the best choice we could have made.
Ann Marie has years of experience in this industry, knows how to effectively communicate with vendors and has so many industry connections which was super helpful.
Her clear and consistent communication with us throughout the process and her exceptional organizational skills were exactly what we needed during this stressful time.
There is so much you don’t know about planning a wedding until you’re in the thick of it (obviously) so having Ann Marie by our side made the process that much smoother.
Like any large event, there will be issues both big and small but Ann Marie helped us navigate them all effortlessly.
On the day of, the dynamic duo of Ann Marie and Emily, took care of every little detail for us and made sure the event ran according to schedule even while juggling having to move a few things around. All we had to do was enjoy our wedding!
SSE is worth every penny, we seriously would not have been able to pull off this event without her. If you are looking for an expert to guide you through this process, you need to hire Simply Styled Events! -

We are so happy we hired Simply Styled Events for month-of wedding planning services - it was the best decision! We had 150 guests at Bryant Park Grill and it was a beautiful, perfect evening. Ann Marie was amazing - she is caring, organized, professional, supportive, and she magically made sure the evening went smoothly behind the scenes. She communicated with all of my vendors, built a detailed timeline and executed it perfectly. I trusted her completely and left everything in her capable hands! She gave great advice on various aspects of the wedding, including best floor plans for the different rooms at the venue. I wanted to be able to just walk into a party with no worries about the details of the day and I was able to do exactly that thanks to Ann Marie! It was the best feeling! The weeks leading up to the wedding were easy and enjoyable and the wedding day itself was pure joy and stress free!!! You will not regret hiring SSE!! Simply Outstanding :) -

Hiring Emily Mitchell and Simply Styled Events for our wedding’s month-of coordination was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. In the beginning, she provided so much COVID guidance and understanding through two postponements. And at the end, she performed a miracle and found us a new DJ 10 days out when our original one unexpectedly backed out. The wedding day went so smoothly because of her impeccable timeline and ability to keep a cool head and problem solve. Emily also planned a retirement party for the nonprofit where I work, and I heard similar feedback from coworkers about how she went above and beyond to make the evening flawless. If you want an absolute pro on your team for your event, Emily and Simply Styled Events is your best choice! -

My fiance and I had planned most of our wedding for our 10/24/2020 wedding at the Bryant Park Grill. However, i wanted to make sure i wasn't crazy on the day of the wedding, so we booked Ann Marie for the month of. She was a preferred planner for the Bryant Park Grill, which speaks for itself, considering they have had hundreds of weddings. I am very type A, and Ann Marie's personality can work with ANYONE. Once Covid Hit, Ann Marie- stepped up to the plate, didn't ask for more money, didn't ask for anything, she just said " what can i do" to help. She spoke to all of our vendors for us, and hand held us while we tried to make sense of what to do next. She knows how to deal with vendors, and takes a weight off of your shoulders. She knows how to negotiate on your behalf, which you don't think about until you're put in an awkward position. She will stay up all night texting you/ talking to you on the phone to make sure you as a client are happy. To say we couldn't have done this without her, would be an understatement. She has been our savior, and I am so glad that we have her as our planner. -

Ann Marie and Emily at Simply Styled Events were INCREDIBLE. They made everything go seamlessly and made our day incredible! I was recommended their services from our venue in NYC and WOW was it a great referral. I really couldn't have done it without them! I would hire them 3000x over and for all my future events! -

After meeting with a few possible vendors to provide month-of-coordinator services, I came across Emily Mitchell with Simply Styled Events and was blown away! She was so knowledgeable and genuinely interested in our wedding from day 1, was very familiar with our venue and our vendors, and made me feel right at home. A month out from our wedding, Emily hit the ground running, asked all of the right questions, and perfectly communicated with our vendors from that point on. At our venue walk-through 2 weeks out, she had a number of suggestions for last minute tweaks that I never would've thought of. And, if you think you're an organized couple, just wait until you see the detailed day-of memo she creates for all of your vendors--it's incredible. I glanced at it and knew I was in amazing hands. I wasn't nervous at all on the big day and I owe much of that to Emily & Ann Marie. They expertly handled our rehearsal and wedding day with confidence and grace, and were right there when I needed them. Hire these amazing women for all of your planning & coordinating needs!! -

I have no words to express how much I loved working with Ann Marie and Simply Styled Events. I was one of those people who thought I didn’t need a wedding planner, and boy was I wrong. Ann Marie coordinated a destination wedding weekend in Newport, RI and despite all the covid frustrations, truly brought my dreams to life. Events ranged from a welcome sail, a church wedding service, an outdoor tent decorated for the reception, and a morning after brunch – all at different venues. Ann Marie has a fantastic eye for design and helped me to create a tent so beautiful it brought me to tears! Ann Marie just thought of everything and was always a step ahead. She is an amazing business woman and was fabulous at working with my vendors, which lifted so much weight off my shoulders. She is so #teambride - so honest, supportive, flexible, fun – and overall just a great human being. My family cannot stop talking about how incredibly professional AnnMarie is, and how the wedding would have been so stressful without her. Thank you Ann Marie! -

6/5 stars. I’m picky. I had a small wedding, 10 guests. Anyways, I tried to organize wedding myself, things were coming along! At the time, future MIL (probably knowing best) hired Ann Marie. I was glad how well things turned out!
Last thing, I can be a little disorganized (as I try to cram too many ideas into one). Ann Marie was awesome at organizing that. Highly recommend. Thanks again! -

Amazing experience with SSE & Ann Marie!
In late March 2021, my husband and I decided to move forward with a micro wedding with our immediate families at my parents' home on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. We reached out to Ann Marie, who my husband worked with at WeddingWire back in the day, to get her advice on planning our day. Based on our call, we immediately knew that we needed Ann Marie's event planning experience and asked her to take us on as clients. It was the best decision!
Ann Marie provided vendor recommendations, and coordinated and negotiated proposals with our florist, caterer and rental company. Ann Marie provided great advice on how to navigate and maximize our budget. She created a beautiful look book to help transform my parents home into a beautiful venue for our celebration and found vendors to bring that vision to life. Our families loved the decor and food!
The week of the wedding, as the weather forecast took a nasty turn, she kept us focused on the bigger picture. She virtually coordinated all vendors, including the photographer and hair/makeup which we selected, and ensured that we could enjoy our day. We could not have done this without her and highly recommend Ann Marie and Emily for your event needs! -

We absolutely cannot say enough good things about Simply Styled Events, and particularly Ann Marie Bocuzzi. My husband and I had a 230+ wedding planned for this September in Brooklyn, NY. We had contracted with all vendors and had our invites out. Obviously as we neared Summer, it became clear that the pandemic was not going anywhere. Ann Marie advised us strategically, while allowing us to come to the decision that was best for us. She engaged immediately with all of our vendors and was able to negotiate a full refund from the venue. As we decided we were going to move forward with planning a second micro-wedding (which was completely not in her scope of work as she’d already planned one wedding for us!), she without a hitch jumped in and started helping us navigate this quick-turnaround, out-of-state celebration. Going through anything in 2020 has been tough, but planning, canceling and re-planning a wedding (with all the opinions of your loved ones swarming around) is one of the most emotional things we’ve ever been through. There is absolutely no way we could have done it without Ann Marie. Her professionalism, kindness, patience, flexibility and sense of humor helped us survive. But it was her drive, accountability and ability to be laid back, when appropriate, and absolutely in the zone to get things done…. that made us love her as much as we do. She was a shoulder to cry on, a cheerleader in your corner and an absolute force to get-things done, when needed. The twists and turns that kept coming up because of COVID regulation could not have been navigated without her. In addition to her planning expertise, she has a fabulous eye for design and designed our entire wedding (cocktail, set-up, tables, etc) in a socially-distanced, tasteful way! Our wedding was spectacular from the seamless execution to the elegant details… and we owe most of that to her. -

Planning an elopement you didn’t expect to plan during a pandemic was a little stressful. That is until I met Ann Marie. She made the entire evening flawless so I could actually enjoy myself! Ann Marie at Simply Styled Events was a lifesaver this summer. We initially planned to have a 150-person wedding in Northern Arizona, but as the pandemic continued, we eventually realized that wasn’t an option. By the time we decided to cancel our wedding and elope, we were OVER IT. We put so much time and stress into making that decision that we didn’t feel like we had the energy to do anything else than show up and say “I do.” That’s where Ann Marie stepped in. Ann Marie helped us seamlessly (and at the last minute) pivot to an intimate elopement with our immediate families — 13 people total. Once we decided where the elopement would be, Ann Marie handled the rest. She worked closely with the vendors we already had to apply any non-refundable deposits we had made to new event-appropriate rentals, coordinated with our photographer to map out a new plan, and helped us think through ways to make the day special even though it wasn’t the event we had initially planned. Despite Ann Marie being based across the country, she used her contacts to help us identify new, trusted vendors we hadn’t previously needed. For example, Ann Marie suggested we consider a private chef (brilliant, as we were having the reception on the porch of my parents’ unfurnished cabin in a remote mountain town) and helped us pick (and negotiate with!) an amazing chef who was dedicated to following our safety/mask guidelines and helped make the evening perfect. Ann Marie also put together a detailed weekend plan that we could share with our family so everyone knew what was happening at every step, which was especially important given the DIY-nature of our wedding and our desire to limit the number of people involved. No stone was left unturned in this plan — from who was driving the arch to the site, to what time the rental company would pick up the dinner table the next day, to what “wedding accessories” the photographer needed to get shots of, she thought of everything.
Having Ann Marie on our side during this process made a world of difference. We were initially hesitant to have a wedding planner, in part because I have very specific ideas of what I like and was afraid a wedding planner would try to talk me out of them or convince me to do something that wasn’t “me” and I’d have to end up feeling defensive about what I wanted. Not Ann Marie. She heard what we said we wanted—even when that changed again and again—and supported it 100% (whatever it was that day)!
If you are considering an elopement but want it to still feel like an “event,” we highly recommend hiring Ann Marie as your event planner! She made the process stress-free and seamless and left us with the simple task of actually getting excited about the wedding, something I wasn’t sure was possible for awhile there. I am forever grateful to Ann Marie and can’t wait to have her help with our next event. -

Emily was my day of planner for my September 2018 wedding. We started working together early on, and she was wonderful in offering suggestions and helping keep me on track leading up to the big day. Going into my wedding day, I had not a worry in the world knowing that Emily was in charge. Everything from the vendors, to the buses, to the timeline was executed flawlessly and not a single thing went missed all day long! Emily's calm demeanor was so helpful throughout the day and she did a great job of checking up on me to make sure everything was taken care of and to see if I needed anything. Hiring Emily to execute my many months of detailed planning was one of the best decisions I made! She was a delight to work with and I am so grateful to have had her be a part of my special day
