The best!!

Simply Gourmet catered our wedding in June 2022 and everything was outstanding. Their food and level of service are excellent - we were blown away by how seamlessly and perfectly everything was executed, and they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. From our first consultation call to the tasting and the big day, SG helped us with all the planning and small details and even provided advice and guidance for aspects of the day we would never have thought of. They are willing to help with nearly everything - Mike even adjusted the train of my dress before I walked down the aisle! Having excellent food was our top priority and SG knocked it out of the park. Our guests are still telling us that not only was it the best food they've had at a wedding, but it was some of the best food they've ever had, period. They are true, full-service industry professionals and an invaluable part of your wedding. We can't recommend them enough. Thank you for everything, Mike and the SG team!

Excellent!

Simply Gourmet did a fantastic job catering our wedding.

From the months of planning beforehand to the wedding day itself, Mike was so professional, kind, communicative, and attentive. The planning process was incredibly organized and we felt at ease knowing that he was able to handle all of the details. The transition from ceremony to cocktails, dinner and dessert was seamless. And of course, the food was wonderful! We received so many compliments from our guests. If you are looking for a caterer or planner, Simply Gourmet is definitely the best choice!

My Dream Wedding

I was a bit late planning my wedding. I called Mike mid March for an early July wedding. As soon as I talked with him I knew I wanted to go with Simply Gourmet if they were able to take me on. It was clear that he knew what he was doing, he was good at it and I was in good hands. He was extremely straightforward in explaining the prices and he was clear and quick to point out all the places where people get confused, where there can be price fluctuations or where miscommunication tends to happens. This was not the case in other calls I had with caterers. I felt with other calls that things were amorphous and cost-analysis was confusing and dodgy. Every other vendor that I was considering working with from flowers to tent rentals had heard of Mike and said variations of "Oh they're good" and "they're on top of it ". I knew I was lucky when he agreed to cater my Thursday wedding with not that much lead time. And wow, the food was incredible!! The apps delicious and fun, the fish tender, the ravioli fantastic, the signature cocktail a major hit. The day of coordinator Darnell, provided by Simply, was really wonderful and took care of me on the day, making sure I got food and corralling my family for the pictures. The staff was so warm and in general, it was a dream. My wedding was on private land and wasn't a traditional venue. It had some logistical challenges and Mike and his team were willing and able to adjust. I had asked family to come from all over the world and drive down many dirt roads to be here for this day and for all this trouble, I wanted them to feel taken care of and thought of on my wedding day. Delicious food is one of the best ways take care of people you love and Mike helped me do that with crostinis, tenderloin, pecan crusted salmon and pretzel bars to spare. I would highly, highly recommend Simply Gourmet.

PHENOMENAL catering in the Hudson Valley

If you're looking for quality catering, look no further than Simply Gourmet. They were extremely patient and understanding while we planned our wedding from 1000 miles away. They take care of all the stressful parts of planning...and not to mention their DELICIOUS food. The best wedding food I've ever had, hands down. Perfection!

Where do I even begin!? Mike and his team are phenomenal. My wedding was at a new venue and not only did Simply Gourmet provide the most amazing food ever but also support throughout the process that we didn't even know we needed. From menu recommendations, timeline, floor layout etc Mike helped us every step of the way. And the food! Our family and friends are still raving about how delicious everything was. A wedding of 250 people and everything came out together, hot and delicious. I actually made sure to sit down during my wedding because I knew I did not want to miss out on this part of our day. Every member of his staff that he brings to events is professional and also super friendly and knew how to make everyone feel welcome. I can not thank the Simply Gourmet team enough.

Can't say enough about how happy we were with hiring Simply Gourmet. From the planning, the set up, food, drink, service, cleanup and a warm, patient and supportive staff! We could not have asked for anything better.
We have gotten so many compliments on the food, some saying best wedding food they have had and we loved their focus locally sourced food and drinks. Unbelievable service!

We were absolutely blown away by the service from Simply Gourmet!! Not only is the food incredible but the staff is simply one of a kind. Mike is an absolute pleasure to work with and incredibly organized and responsive! Darnell was an amazing captain and constantly checked in to make sure we were fed and happy. The best, hands down! More than just an amazing catering service

Simply Gourmet catered our wedding and simply blew us away with their organization, timeliness and kindness! Mike helped us plan our wedding for two years, and did not disappoint! Shoutout to Darnell, the team’s captain. It rained on our wedding day and Darnell made us feel at ease. We had originally planned for an outdoor ceremony, and were pretty upset when the rain wouldn’t let up. Darnell’s daughter got married at the same venue (also on a rainy day), and she assured us they could make our ceremony look just as beautiful inside and she was right! The team turned the reception area into a ceremony for us and it looked stunning!

Our guests couldn’t stop telling us how delicious Simply Gourmet’s food was! We have some snobby food guests, so I was worried about what they would say, but we heard back only good things! We loved the food and crave it every now and then! I think the best part about the day was how hospitable the staff was to us, they made sure we had a plate of all the cocktail food immediately after the ceremony, and a drink in our hands at all times. The entire staff treated us like royalty, we felt so special all day. A few even joined us on the dance floor at one point.

I would 100 percent recommend booking Simply Gourmet for your wedding and/or any event for that matter! Thank you Mike, Darnell and the SG team! We don’t have all of our professional photos back yet so here are some pics snapped by our wedding guests. Get the broccoli cole slaw and locally made cider donuts!!

Great caterer to work with!

The Simply Gourmet team worked so seamlessly with all of our vendors. They put such care into their work, so our event went without a hitch! Everyone loved all aspects of our wedding and raved about the food (especially the wild mushroom ravioli). All of our decorations were set up and placed exactly how we envisioned it. They did such a great job, even as we threw in some last minute decorations. Everything looked so beautiful and the whole event was perfect. We couldn’t have had such a successful event without the Simply Gourmet team.

Best caterer out there

My husband and I chose Simply Gourmet to cater our wedding. Mike and his team were extremely helpful from start to finish. Mike is very responsive via email. He is very friendly, helpful, professional, and organized. The tasting was amazing and our guests raved about our wedding food. Incredible food! Incredible people!

Mike and the team from Simply Gourmet were phenomenal! The food was absolutely incredible and all of our guests still talk about the food at our wedding. Mike is so responsive, and a true team player. He's easy to work with, and so knowledgeable. His team was so attentive to us during our wedding, and always made sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a catering and set-up team to ease your worries and make your day run smooth... Simply Gourmet can't be beat! 10/10 would recommend for weddings or any other catered event.

Simply Gourmet is Simply the Best

We knew from the moment we met Mike that Simply Gourmet was the right choice for our wedding caterer. Mike answered all our questions early on and clearly approached the event with enthusiasm. He assured us that we wouldn't need a wedding planner/coordinator and their team would help with everything and they went above and beyond our expectations. We don't know what we would've done without them. They paid attention to all of our requests, nailed every detail and made sure the day went smoothly. All of our guests raved about the food and the amazing staff. They took great care of us, made sure our schedule stayed on track, greeted us with cocktails right after the ceremony, and made sure we took time to eat. They had our best interests in mind from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with our decision to book with them!

Delicious food! Hire Mike!

Hiring Simply Gourmet/ Mike was the second best decision we made, after deciding to marry each other. Our friends had used him and recommended him for his responsiveness and attention to detail. He is extremely - scarily, even - good at managing the minutiae of a 150 person event. He handled all our rentals (which we paid for through him) as well which was a HUGE weight off our shoulders, and recommended our beloved wedding planner (Lauren F at Wild Blooms Bridal). He worked with the owners of our location (Hayfield Catskills) to conduct a site visit and make sure everything was laid out exactly right, and then easily pivoted when it looked like it was going to rain. His food wildly exceeded our expectations based on all the wedding food we've had elsewhere - how did he produce 75 portions of perfectly cooked salmon and short ribs, at the same time?? The menu is varied, universally delicious, and has something for everyone (vegan/ GF/ omnivore). He is flexible and accommodated a special vendor from my husband's home state serving a specific lemonade, and happily provided booze to spike it with. His grazing table is not to be missed and the dessert buffet was a huge hit (especially the apple cider donuts!). He and his staff are consummate professionals and we cannot recommend them enough!!

Absolutely incredible!!

Mike and his team at Simply Gourmet are phenomenal. The food was perfect and delicious; we received compliments on the food all night. The team followed my decor instruction to a T - everything looked exactly how I wanted it. The wait staff kept my husband and I fed all night. the total package!

where to start - I hired Simply Gourmet only a few months before my wedding as I threw it together last minute. they make it very clear and easy in selecting from their range of catering options. I loved that they also provided the staffing & bar - that made things much simpler. from there I spoke with & met Mike several times where he quickly resolved any of my concerns/questions. DIY weddings where you bring in your own caterer/rentals is very stressful, Mike made all of that easier, he handled everything with other vendors and was my day of coordinator (including setting up all my decor and establishing the day of timeline). my wedding was the best day of my life, my husband & I were so impressed with the food (the guests raved about it too) and how professional/attentive Mike & his team were. 10000% would use SG again and highly recommend them if you're looking for the total package. thank you Mike for making our day a success!

Amazing caterer

Mike4 and his team at Simply Gourmet helped us create an amazing wedding day experience for us and our guests. They were did so much more than provide food (which was delicious). Absolutely Perfect!

Simply Gourmet catering our wedding was an absolute dream! From the planning process, Mike was super responsive and listened to every single question/concern we had, which was definitely needed in the time of Covid. If there was anything we were unsure of, he always gave us the time to think things over and even made some suggestions to help us out along the way. With constant changes in event regulations happening over the months leading up to our wedding, Mike made sure to constantly keep us in the loop. And a plus, he also played the middleman with the rental company for the wedding which alleviated a lot of stress from us.

As for the day of the wedding, their service and food was a 10/10. By the time we arrived to do our first look, which was a few hours prior to the ceremony start, everything was already setup and absolutely beautiful. The moment the ceremony ended, Darnell had my husband and I's drink of choice in hand, waiting for us! Darnell made sure to check up on us throughout the night to make sure things were running smoothly and to make sure to let her know if we needed anything.

The food was outstanding. We had a bunch of our guests rave about their meals. We even had one of my cousins from Texas (she loves her steakhouses) mention how incredible the steak was and how perfectly it was cooked.

I could go on and on about my experience with Simply Gourmet but at that point, it woud end up being a novel. Mike and Darnell are a power team! I highly recommend working with them for your big day. They will not disappoint!

Amazing experience!

Working with Simply Gourmet was amazing! Mike and his colleague served dinner at our small wedding in Swan Lake, NY and they were both professional and friendly. The food was amazing - everyone enjoyed it and they were able to accommodate for a couple of different dietary needs. Covid Wedding Success!

I cannot say enough good things about working with Simply Gourmet. From the beginning, Mike was an absolute pleasure to work with. Covid unfortunately hit us mid wedding planning, but Mike was 100% on top of all the guidelines and great with keeping us updated. We ended up going forth with our original date with 50 guest and we are so happy we did not postpone. We actually ended up using Simply Gourmet for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. Their on-site space is perfect- it allowed our guests to move around freely without worrying about bothering other guests in a restaurant. It allowed us (and our guests) to really get to know the team (esp the bartender) that would be at our actually wedding. There is so much variety to their menu, that there was no overlap at all with food between the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. Darnell was out captain for both events and she really helped everything run so smoothly. Our families still cannot stop talking about how great everything was. We would recommend Simply Gourmet for any event, and can hopefully find an excuse to use them again.

Wonderful experience!

Mike was wonderful to work with, from the moment we met and discussed what we imagined our reception should be. Mike listened to our ideas but also offered his personal opinions regarding design details such as linens and tableware. We had a modest budget, but he created an amazing menu that seemed as if we had no budget at all.
Our guests raved about the delicious food. The staff at the reception couldn't have been any nicer, or more helpful and professional. We are so thankful to Mike and the staff at Simply Gourmet, and highly recommend them!

Excellent Catering Company

Simply Gourmet did an amazing job at my wedding in late August. Mike was so easy to work with and made the whole process a pleasant experience. I was so impressed by the tasting but the food at my wedding was out of this world! I got numerous compliments from several guests and family members that said the food was the best they ever had. During our second meeting to finalize the menu Mike suggested doing a grazing table. I am SO glad I did, the spread was not only beautiful to look at but also so so so good. During our wedding the staff seamlessly took care of all guests and made sure my glass was never empty! Truly 5 star service & dining!

Wonderful!

Simply Gourmet catered our wedding at Locust Grove Estate and they did an absolutely amazing job! Mike was extremely attentive, professional, and willing to work with us every step of the way. All of the food was delicious. I heard so many compliments about it from our guests. The displays of food were beautiful. Our captain Tammy was very attentive and she made sure to make us both plates of food since we probably would have forgotten to eat!! The only thing I wish is that we were able to take some to go because we were craving it the next day it was so good. Highly recommend!

Simply perfect!

When we set out to find a caterer, we were very overwhelmed with possibilities and endless decisions. One thing we knew was that we wanted a non traditional menu— we wanted grazing and stations. Mike was willing to work with us and create the perfect menu that felt truly like us. He eased our concerns by his ability to be so organized and timely. Day of, the Simple Gourmet team were true rockstars. The entire day went so smoothly. All our guests raved about the food. We can’t thank them enough for how perfect the entire event was. Simply Gourmet was perfect!

Simply Gourmet was excellent in every regard, we could not have been happier. From day one Mike and the team provided an exceptional experience. He made planning and choosing a menu easy, providing guidance as needed. Their menus and pricing structures are so much easier to understand than any other caterer we found; we always felt well informed, no surprise charges, and Mike was accessible and supremely helpful throughout the planning process. Everyone there is wonderfully kind, friendly and just lovely to work with.
Finally, the food. Holy cow, the food was INCREDIBLE!
Everyone (including us) thought it was the best wedding dinner we'd ever had. They had an excellent menu with tons of choices, and were happy to branch off menu to accommodate any culinary/dietary requests we had. (Also they offer delicious locally baked pies for desert. Do yourself a favor and get the pies.) Everything served was just so fresh and tasty.

All in all, they provided a perfect catering service for our wedding, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thank you again to Mike, Tammy and your whole team for a wonderful experience!

Hire them!

Simply Gourmet really helped make our wedding day special. Mike, Tammy, and the rest of the team were wonderful. They had so many great options and we got so many compliments from guests about the food. I had heard that it's hard to find time to eat as the bride but I made it a priority to make a few plates and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend!!!!

Wonderful!

Mike and his crew at Simply Gourmet could not have made our wedding day better! The food was delicious, and our guests were very, very complimentary of it. And on top of all the great menu options for our wedding day, Mike does so much beforehand in making sure everything is running smoothly - from rentals, to decor, to guest count, etc. He really put our needs first which is, we think, one of the most important qualities they possess., on top of being flexible and conscious of our budget. Simply Gourmet was wonderful to work with, and we could not recommend them enough!

The best catering!

My husband and I are so happy we chose Simply Gourmet for our wedding! From our initial contact with Mike through the wedding he was so responsive, kind, and helpful. Through all of our planning he provided insight on so many things we would have forgotten about, and whenever I'd reach out asking how something was done he already had a plan on how to handle it. Planning our wedding was so easy with Mike, what we thought would be super overwhelming was a breeze. We used Simply gourmet for our rehearsal dinner the night before and everyone was so excited to see what we'd have at the wedding, and they did not disappoint! On the day of the wedding we couldn't have been happier, everything went as planned and all of our guests raved about the food. I cannot say enough about how happy we were with everything, I highly recommend Simply Gourmet, go for a tasting you won't be disappointed!

Ah-mazing!

I cannot say enough about Mike and Ryan. From the initial call I made to Simply Gourmet Mike was very responsive, upfront and knowledgeable. We knew immediately after speaking with Mike that they were the caterers we wanted to use. Anytime we had a question or concern Mike was always available to speak. He was very prompt and accommodating with our schedule to meet being we do not live in the area and always made our "meetings" fun with his outgoing personality. I knew going into the big day that the food would be amazing based on the tasting we did but I've received so many compliments on the menu from guests that attended (especially on the Salmon, Steak, Mac & Cheese & Broccoli salad) OH and the seasonal pies were delish! When I would run ideas by Mike he would always provide his honest opinion and offer more cost effective options which was really appreciated ( we all know staying within budget is important). They really took the lead on the event planning & rentals which definitely alleviated stress off of us. Ryan the day of the wedding was AMAZING. He was so friendly and kept everything moving (and always made sure we had a drink in hand!!). He went out of his way on several instances throughout the day & night and helped everything run so smoothly. Between Simply Gourmet's team and Nostrano Vineyards our day was exactly how we envisioned it (if not better!). We were able to enjoy our day knowing that we were in great hands and that everything was taken care of. Thank you guys so much for making our day so special (& tasty).

Amazing food, incredible service!

Simply Gourmet catered our wedding at Locust Grove on October 20, 2018. They work together so often that we had a lower cost "package" deal for our venue. Mike and his team were amazing! Mike is detail oriented, quick to respond, and helped us to plan everything about our wedding. The day of, his team was friendly and accommodating. Also, their food is AMAZING and locally sourced.

No detail too small

Simply Gourmet was everything we hoped for in a caterer and more. Every interaction with Mike was a pleasure, from initial contact, to menu choices, tasting, special requests, he handled it all. Mike was so responsive to every email and phone call, which made things so smooth for us. On the day of, they handled everything perfectly. The entire staff on site were amazing. Our captain for the day personally catered to us all night. We really felt like we got the royal treatment. The food was perfect and our guests couldn’t say enough good things about the service, the drinks, everything. Simply Gourmet was simply perfect.

We truly could not have asked for better service! From the moment we met Mike at Simply Gourmet we were impressed, and then we tried their food and were completely blown away! Mike worked with us to meet our every need. Not only that but he went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect! We got married at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY on September 29, 2018 and Simply Gourmet was our (amazing) caterer. I reached out to Mike online and he immediately got back to me. We talked on the phone for a while to discuss what we were looking for in a caterer, and it became clear very quickly that they are serious experts. Felt really good about our conversation so we scheduled an appointment for a tasting. Literally everything we tried was delicious, so we decided on the spot that we wanted to go with Mike and his team.

A few months prior to the wedding we met again to lock in the menu and linen selections, and all other details. Because Locust Grove is one of their most frequently used venues, Simply Gourmet offered an all-inclusive package deal. They covered the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception setup, food (obviously) and alcohol, and all linens and rentals. They provided an awesome captain that helped us facilitate the entire day, and all of the staff were on point. For everything we got, the pricing was very reasonable, and absolutely worth it. There were welcome beverages when guests arrived, they cut and served our cake, and also provided a signature drink and an additional dessert, cider donuts, which our guests absolutely loved. Our captain also set aside plates that contained all of the cocktail hour and reception selections for my wife and I, so that we got to try everything. She also made sure our wine glasses were always full!

All communication was fast and easy, leading up to and on the day of our wedding. We HIGHLY recommend Simply Gourmet for all your catering needs!

It was so great to work with Mike and his staff. We had our wedding at the Harness Racing Museum in Goshen, NY. Mike worked within our budget to ensure we had all the details and services that were important to us (open bar, cocktail hour food stations, etc.). We received so many compliments from our guests on how great the food was. I cannot recommend Simply Gourmet, enough! We made the right choice to go with them.

Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Simply Gourmet. Our wedding was three weeks ago and we still haven't stopped talking about how responsive, attentive, and fantastic the staff was. We hired Simply Gourmet to cater my daughter's wedding at Locust Grove. They were incredible! Every guest that I talked to RAVED about the food!! It was delicious. And there was so much of it! It started during the cocktail hour and just kept coming the whole night!

Mike was great to deal with and took care of every detail. Their staff was one of the most professional I have ever dealt with… the service was perfect!

I’m running out of adjectives here and I’m not sure I can articulate how happy we are with Mike and Simply Gourmet! We are so glad that we chose them for or daughter's wedding!

Mike from simply gourmet is a fabulous chef and his food is delicious. I recently hired him as the caterer for my wedding at the minnewaska lodge is gardiner ,ny and I was impressed by the taste and presentation of his menu. We had the Mediterranean bar, mac n cheese bar , pork loin, beef loin, mixed veg,mashed potatoes and mushroom ravioli. His staff was incredible they were attentive and pleasant to everyone’s need from the very beginning. I would definitely recommend Simply Gourmet as professional service to anyone who wants value and quality in a caterer.

I don't know where to begin saying enough good things about Mike & Simply Gourmet. From the moment we walked into our first meeting with Mike, we felt at ease. The guy totally knows what he's doing and how to do it right. He remained flexible caring, responsive, and informative from the beginning to end of the planning. And then, when it was time for the big event — O.M.G. Talk about coming through! The food was AMAZING!!!! So many guests said they had never had such good wedding food, including outrageous pies for dessert and crazy-good eats for our cocktail hour. (And the signature cocktails — Manhattan and Pomegranate Cosmos — were just WOW). And the bar setup outside was wonderful. The staff, too, was soo sweet and professional. More than anything else, Mike took so much pressure off of us because we just knew it was going to be okay with him handling everything. Only downside — as bride and groom we were unable to STUFF OUR FACES with MIke's food&drink (barely had time to eat). So, now we're desperately trying to get someone we know to get married and use Mike/Simply Gourmet & invite us so that we can go to the wedding and enjoy everything all over again . . . but this time really have our fill. REQUEST: If you use Mike/SimplyGourmet because of our recommendation, PLEASE INVITE US!!! LoL!!!!!! Have a great wedding. You will NOT go wrong with Mike & Simply Gourmet. Blessings!!!

My wife and I got married on October 7, 2017, a little over a month ago, and we are still getting comments about the WONDERFUL food and service provided by Simply Gourmet. As some people have and continue to tell us it was “the best food I have ever had at a wedding.” On top of that, this was no ordinary wedding — we had a fabulous mix of American, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern cuisine.

Mike was well-versed on some of our customs and was willing to try all our suggested options, which he nailed during the tasting. We also had a special request for halal meat and he did that too without hesitation. He was extremely patient and easy to work with. He really pays attention to detail and gave my wife his undivided attention throughout the entire process.

They not only prepared the meals but also set up, broke down, and decorated the entire ceremony, cocktail, and reception areas EXACTLY how we, she, envisioned it. The entire team was on point! They were there for us, our guest, and the other vendors the entire night. I’d be happy to share my full story with anyone who would like to contact me. Simply Gourmet is THE caterer of the Hudson Valley, hands down. They are worth every single penny and you better believe we’ll be using them again!

His staff even went out of their way to pick up a six pack of beer for a guest who had a specific request. We are so thankful we found Mike and the team at Simply Gourmet to cater our wedding! We were really looking for something unique and as far away from "typical wedding food" that we could possibly find. The moment we met Mike and tasted his food we knew we wanted him to be our caterer! Farm to Table is their thing and we absolutely love that! The tasting we did with Mike was incredible and while the food was delicious (the only chef that has ever been able to get me to actually like salmon!) sitting down with Mike and planning our menu was absolutely amazing! He is so passionate about what he does and so creative in the meals and pairings he come up with! Our guests raved about how good all the food was and were amazed that all the delicious food we had was able to be produced out of a very small cook tent! Mike made figuring out all the rentals we would need for our event space a breeze and the staff on the day of our wedding were absolutely wonderful! We had an amazing experience with Simply Gourmet catering our wedding at Locust Grove. From the start, Mike was responsive, professional, and really easy to work with, answering all of our emails and calls quickly. He provided some great suggestions that helped make the evening even better than we could have expected. The food tasted delicious and the presentation was beautiful. All of our guests raved to us about the great selection of food and cocktails, and we really loved that many of the ingredients came from the Hudson Valley! The service was outstanding, especially Ryan, our Captain for the evening, who was exceptional. He hunted us down multiple times during photos after the ceremony to hand deliver us fresh drinks and appetizers, and even ran back to get us an umbrella when it started to rain. Simply Gourmet did a great job getting the tables and event space set up exactly as we envisioned and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. We highly recommend Simply Gourmet. Mike and his team really took care of us and made the most fabulous food for our wedding. We love BBQ so we knew we wanted some upscale BBQ and a buffet which fit our venue perfectly. All the food and drinks were outstanding, our guests raved and raved about it and I still dream of the butterscotch cookies and mac & cheese. There was an issue when one of the rental ovens broke and Mike took care of it behind the scenes with the guests being none the wiser. His staff is wonderful as well, attentive with out being in your face, smiling and so friendly. People raved about how amazing our wedding was and I would highly recommend them to others. We spent over a year with Mike from Simply Gormet planning our daughter's wedding. From the moment we first met with him to the end of an exquisite wedding, Mike was extremely prompt with answering e-mails, highly organized, as well as true to his word and quotes. Our guests were so impressed by the amount of wonderfully flavored and textured food, the use of fresh local farms and breweries, and especially the care that was put into the making of each individual appetizer and every scrumptious meal. Mike coordinated and planned ahead with each vendor to make sure the day would go smoothly. His entire staff was professional and worked diligently to make sure everything was timed to perfection throughout the ceremony, refreshments, cocktail hour, meal and dessert.

My husband and I had Simply Gourmet cater our wedding at Crested Hen Farms this past August and I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! To start, I was planning my New York wedding while living in Los Angeles, so picking the right caterer felt like an almost impossible task. However, Mike from Simply Gourmet made the process so easy from start to finish! He answered any and all questions, organized a marvelous tasting for my family, planned a fantastic menu within our budget, and did venue visits to ensure our day would be spectacular. I felt so comfortable knowing I had such an efficient and detail-oriented caterer on my side. On the day of our wedding Simply Gourmet really knocked it out of the park! Mike and his staff made sure every detail of our day was perfect. They arranged welcome drinks for our guests, made sure our cocktail hour and reception looked exquisite, and tended to both the bridal party and guests the entire night. Our guests were raving about the food and drinks the entire evening! In fact, we are still getting calls and emails from guest telling us the food was the best they ever had at a wedding. I simply do not have enough words to describe how phenomenal Simply Gourmet is. Mike worked with me and my husband to come up with the perfect summery menu for our July 2017 wedding. He was extremely patient, enthusiastic, communicative and professional throughout every step of the planning process. The food at our wedding of 120 people was as delicious as it was at our tasting. We received NUMEROUS compliments from our guests about the exceptional service and quality of food. Many caterers in the Hudson Valley are hard to get in touch with or cost a fortune. Mike and his team at Simply Gourmet are amazing! From the first meeting my husband and I had with Mike, we knew he had to cater our wedding, and would do an incredible job. Mike seems very passionate about his job and about food, and it shows. Mike was very responsive and flexible whenever we had any questions or wanted to make changes to our menu. Our wedding was held at Locust Grove Estate, and Mike reassured us that he had catered at that venue many times, so we knew we could trust him and his team to do an amazing job. All of our food was delicious, and we received rave reviews from our guests... people are still talking about the pies!!! Additionally, my husband and I found that Simply Gourmet's prices were extremely affordable, and with the quality of their work and their delicious food, we are beyond happy that they catered our wedding. We also love how Mike uses local and fresh ingredients when possible, and he even used a few local wines and beer for our bar service. Thank you again to Mike and his incredible team at Simply Gourmet!

My husband and I were married May 20, 2017 and we were so happy to have had Mike and Simply Gourmet cater our wedding! Mike was phenomenal to work with: a true professional, he is incredibly passionate about his cuisine, is knowledgeable and informative, well organized, friendly, and was very accommodating with our busy schedules. I knew from our first email exchange that Mike was our caterer-to-be and when my husband and I had our first meeting with him we were all ready to sign, seal, and boy! did Mike deliver! The venue was set up gorgeously; the food was absolutely delicious, plentiful, & beautifully displayed; our signature cocktails and selection of wine & beer Mike suggested were a huge hit; and the Simply Gourmet staff were so friendly, courteous, & efficient. Our family and friends still tell us months later how much their mouths water thinking back on the food and drink they had and how amazing the staff was throughout the wedding. Side note: Both our dads had the grilled beef tenderloin entrée which they'll both mention at least once during casual conversation all the while smacking their lips. High praise indeed! Special shoutout to Ryan who was our maître d' extraordinaire for the evening! Ryan was wonderful and made sure to keep my husband and I well fed, well hydrated, and helped keep us on task. From setup to breakdown and everything in between, Simply Gourmet was amazing! We couldn't have asked for a more memorable and incredible day. Thank you so much, Mike and Simply Gourmet!

FABULOUS!!! To say that Simply Gourmet was amazing to work with is an understatement. My husband and I were not the organized, detail-oriented wedding planning type, but it was wonderful to work with Mike throughout the process. Mike is extremely organized and helped us stay on track with deadlines. He explained everything very clearly (pricing, furniture rentals, menu, alcohol) and was very professional in all of our meetings and outside communication. My husband and I do not live near our venue, but Mike was super accommodating with last minute meetings and tastings when we were in the area. He worked around our schedule and didn't get frustrated with our spur of the moment meetings. He worked with us to create a menu catered to our venue, season, and personal taste. Everything was unique and not your standard "wedding food." Our guests are still talking about the butternut squash soup bar from our fall wedding. We couldn't have been happier with Simply Gourmet. I TOTALLY recommend them!!!

Simply gourmet was great to work with. Mike was super responsive and his food was delicious. Best of all (and an absolute rarity in the wedding business) his pricing was straight-forward and understandable. The price he sent out in the first quote was basically the price we paid at the end. As a result it also ended up being a great value: other vendors in the area were cheaper on first glance, but there was a lot hidden in the fine print.

We highly recommend Simply Gourmet! They catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding. The food was amazing! Mike was very professional and easy to work with. The wedding went very smoothly and everything was on schedule. His team even set up all our centerpieces and handled the rentals. We chose the buffet option for the wedding night dinner, and we were amazed by all the delicious and healthy options. We only have wonderful things to say about Mike and Simply Gourmet, and we highly recommend using them for your next event!

Mike and the crew from Simply Gourmet catered our September 2016 wedding and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was delicious and the staff was exceptional. When we first met with Mike to discuss the day we had a general theme in mind and a few random food ideas. During our initial meeting, he asked many questions about our likes and dislikes and what type of a feeling we wanted to generate throughout the night. Mike took all the thoughts, wants, and wonderings in our heads and ran with it - creating the perfect menu for our rustic theme.

Mike also took care of more than just the fantastic food. We were using a site without a kitchen, table, chairs, etc. and Mike took care of all of the rentals for us - taking a huge weight off of our shoulders. In addition to that, Mike and his staff also set up our centerpieces and some of our decorations that day so we wouldn’t have to worry about it. And knowing Mike’s attention to detail, we knew everything was going to look perfect! Mike also kept in contact with our venue to let them know when he would be there, when the rentals were showing up and working through any needed licenses and insurance policies for the event. With Simply Gourmet as our caterer we knew we had nothing to worry about that day.

Mike and his staff were total professionals during the day. They were friendly and welcoming and had knowledge of the venue to answer any guest questions (about the food, the venue, or even local information for our out of towners) and went out of their way to make everyone comfortable.

The compliments for Mike and his crew continue to come as we visit with friends and family. The food was fresh, seasonal, sourced from local farms and business as much as possible. Our guests received a true taste of the Hudson Valley. We are ecstatic with how Mike and Simply Gourmet took our ideas and turned them into a world class event. Thank you to Mike and Simply Gourmet!

Everyone we have spoken to about our wedding last month has told us the food was amazing! Simply Gourmet did more than we could have asked for. Mike and his team at Simply Gourmet just catered my wedding a few weeks ago and they are absolutely incredible! The food was amazing and beautiful, all of my guests have been raving for weeks! Food aside, Mike was so easy to work with and truly went above and beyond. I can't say how non-stressful the whole journey was with Mike because he is so professional, organized and detail oriented. He worked directly with all of my vendors and venue so i barely had to do a thing! His team also set up all of the rental equipment and broke it down. They also helped us finish all of the table set ups when we ran out of time. I would recommend Simply Gourmet to anyone!

Simply Gourmet is AMAZING. Anything you've heard about "bad wedding food" will be quickly put to rest in Mike's (owner) hands. One thing you know about me and know about what our guests expected of me was the food to be good. I've been a food obsessed person my whole life and now work in hospitality tech - and believe me I wanted the FOOD to be a focal point of my farm-y upper Hudson Valley wedding. Mike offered us welcome drinks, 4 amazing stationery dips, 8 passed apps, and an amazing buffet of 3 hearty mains (short rib, roast chicken, pecan salmon), two sides, and a dessert. Everything was seasonal and highly personal (catered to our heritages and tastes - we had a New American farm to table menu sprinkled in with Chinese/Burmese and Jewish twang). We even had a delicious acorn squash dish for our vegan guests. We used Mike for our bar which included 2 wine whites, 2 red whites, 2 beers, and 2 specialty cocktails- again catered to our tastes. And these were like craft everything. I didn't get to eat any of the food but was impressed at a tasting we did a year+ prior, and was incredibly overjoyed to here that each guest loved it. Not only did they complain the food was plentiful, but it was really top notch. And these are like.. picky, New Yorkers who only dine at Michelin starred restaurants... seriously.

Apart from the amazing food, the service was A+. The staff came up to me so many times asking if I needed anything since I barely sat down the whole night. Throughout the planning process, Mike was extremely responsive, professional, and detail oriented, and had the stamina to deal with my Type A, communicative, personality. It's one thing to make great food, but another thing to know how the heck to cater an event, and I think Mike was operationally very strong and executed our event to the fullest enjoyment of our guests. He also managed our rentals from A to Z as for as food related rentals, went. Definitely give him a shot!

Simply Gourmet just catered our daughter's wedding this past weekend. They were phenomenal!!!! From start to finish Michael & his brother were professional, attentive, thorough & their attention to detail was excellent! And the appetizers, & the buffet were absolutely delicious!!!! The wait staff were friendly, happy & very attentive to our guests! As mother of the bride who did the flowers, they were very accommodating to my needs & wishes for how I wanted the set up to be. Never made me feel I was a bother, as I wanted everything perfect for our big day! Michael made clear anything we needed done, he would take care of & he did. The clean-up was so thorough, even the vineyard owners where we had the wedding were very impressed!!! Very highly recommend SIMPLY GOURMET!!!!

Mike and his staff did an amazing job for our son's wedding. They were very professional, friendly and accommodating. Everything was set up exactly as we asked. We had to move the ceremony/cocktail hr inside because of the weather and no one would have known otherwise. Everything was done without a hitch. The food was delicious, both cocktail hr and dinner. The bride and groom went with a BBQ theme and it was upscale all the way. So many compliments from our guests. The
beer, wine and signature drinks were a big hit. The bakery Mike recommended was The Cakery in FIshkill, NY and they didn't let us down. The cake was beautiful and delicious. "PJ" the DJ was excellent as well. He kept things moving and had the party going all night. Mike at Simply Gourmet was an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you for making our son and daughter-in-law's wedding a day they will cherish.

I cannot recommend Simply Gourmet (SG) enough. We found Mike and his team through their amazing food at our friend's wedding back in 2012. When it came time to plan our wedding this past October, we knew who we wanted to cater the event. From start to finish, it was a true pleasure to work with him. He planned a mouth-watering, seasonally appropriate menu which included local ingredients and which tasted AMAZING! Since the wedding over six months ago, anyone who talks to us about the event has specifically complimented the food. Everything from the cheese, honeycomb, & cider drinks at the cocktail hour to the pecan crusted salmon or melt in your mouth beef tenderloin during dinner to the apple pie dessert - everyone has had a different favorite! It tasted amazing and looked absolutely beautiful.

From a customer service standpoint, Mike was a simply wonderful person with whom to collaborate. He was extremely responsive, answered all queries within 48 hours, and coordinated and set up all the rentals. He provided helpful input when we requested it and helped to create a wonderful menu.

The prices were very reasonable too, especially given the quality of the food. I would not hesitate to work with him again/patronize his business either in a catering capacity or through a visit to his restaurant in Poughkeepsie - Bluestone Bistro.

This review is a little late, but very much deserved. We had our wedding in late October 2015 and hired Mike & Simply Gourmet to cater it. We knew we wanted a wedding in upstate New York (it was an outdoor ceremony and tented reception at Boscobel, roughly 150 people). We researched around 10 caterers and either based on price or style narrowed it down to 4 caterers we actually had tastings with. Simply Gourmet was definitely the lowest priced option, so we were hoping there wouldn’t be a huge difference between their quality and the others so we could save some (a lot) of money. Mike, who runs Simply Gourmet, also has a restaurant in Poughkeepsie, so that’s where we met him. He was our last stop of the day because he was farthest north, but his food was delicious, and easily the best/second best of what we tasted. We left wanting to be able to use him, but we were a little worried about his ability to handle a larger event. Our other main reservation was that a lot of what we tasted, although delicious, was a bit on the heavier side – melted cheeses, sauces, etc.
After speaking with our planner, we took the risk and went with Simply Gourmet. It turned out that Mike was there whenever we needed him – very responsive, and worked a lot behind the scenes with our planner. We had another meeting with him to develop the menu and it was fully customizable. He has a really creative mind for dishes and flavors, and is clearly passionate about using interesting, local, ingredients that are season and setting appropriate. The ‘heavy’ dishes we tasted turned out to be just suggestions. He was ready to substitute ingredients or make completely new items. He was really flexible – we chose wines and beers that were off his ‘list’. We also wanted a more formal table-service rather than family style, and to have wines poured table-side during dinner. We had specific dessert requests and he worked with us on all of it.

A very big thank you to Mike and the Simply Gourmet staff for helping make our May 15th, 2016 wedding reception as perfect as it was! Everything was just wonderful. From their communication leading up to our event to their delivery, decorations, food and beverage selections. We received great compliments from our guests on the quality of the food. One of our guests enjoyed the Pinot Grigio so much that she ordered from the vineyard directly afterwards, saying it was probably one of the best she'd ever had. We loved your food display, the food itself was just perfect. It was so nice to have staff come find us to ensure we were able to get our meals prior to opening up the line to our guests. And their service to us throughout the night made us feel very special. From beginning to end, we are so grateful for Simply Gourmet's wonderful service. It was such a pleasure to work with you! My husband and I used Simply Gourmet to cater our wedding this past July, and we absolutely could not have picked a more awesome caterer. From our first meeting with Mike, the owner, we knew we were in good hands. Mike is enthusiastic, creative, very responsive to emails, and organized. He also had the best prices around for some truly delicious food. We had 4 stationary appetizer displays that were all delicious and never ran out of food. For dinner, we were looking for a casual vibe, and Mike helped us pick items off an “upscale BBQ” style menu for a buffet that was out of this world. We had far more variety in terms of number and type of dishes than I’ve experienced at other weddings, including some out of this world pulled pork and mac & cheese that our friends are still raving about. Simply Gourmet also coordinated our bar for us, and we had the most fun of the entire wedding planning process choosing our “signature cocktails.” The presentation of all the food was beautiful, and the food stayed nice and hot at the buffet! All of our guests raved about how delicious it was and multiple people told us it was the best food they’d had at a wedding. They couldn’t get enough of the peach tea cocktail either! Mike was also incredibly helpful during the planning process. Through email and in-person meetings, he coordinated all the rentals, the set up and breakdown at our venue (including a bunch of large, fragile decorations I had made), and answered all the questions I came up with in a very timely manner. We were so happy with the way the entire night turned out, and it was in large part due to Mike and his team’s effort, professionalism, and talent!

Mike, thank you for saving our wedding! Our initial venue fell apart when the owner flaked on us. Panicked, we shopped around and found Locust Grove and Simply Gourmet run by Mike (both in Poughkeepsie). By the time we met Mike for a tasting at his restaurant Blue Stone Bistro, we had two months left. But it was meant to be--- the delicious food hooked us- mostly local, with superb NY cheeses and veggies. The raspberry salad, steak, salmon…. luscious. And listening to Mike, we knew that we could trust and count on him. We knew immediately that we wanted to work with him as our new wedding planner and caterer. Mike listened deeply to understand what we really cared about. Always patient, cool and wise, Mike made us feel reassured and confident. He responded promptly to any and all inquiries and individualized little details to fit our budget. He created a menu for all diets. As a teacher, I wanted the kids at the wedding to have a special corner table with games, an idea that my family mocked and Mike embraced (and set up for me). It ended up being such a hit! Mike even helped us find our dream bakery for a wedding cake (On-A-Stick, Fishkill). Mike dreamed up an idea for our place settings and then did it himself. Thank goodness he was so easy-going because we were clueless. The wedding day was insane. An hour before and I was not ready at all. But Mike catered our wedding day, so it was wonderful. Mike and his staff took care of everything and kept an overview on every detail. They were extremely professional and attentive, and took care of me all throughout the evening. The guests raved about the scrumptious food, especially the pecan-crusted salmon and appetizers. My uncle, a former caterer, and my picky father who only cares about food were very happy. But my husband and I were happiest to work with someone as professional, impeccable, and wonderful as Mike. I highly recommend Simply Gourmet- he made our wedding a dream. Mike and the Simply Gourmet team were AMAZING. We can't thank them enough for helping make or wedding better then we could have ever hoped for.

Our wedding was outdoors on a private property so we were really planning "from scratch". Mike helped us decided what we needed to rent and really took our budget into consideration when helping us figure out ways to cut costs. He worked directly with the rental company so I didn't have to and made sure we had everything we needed without anything we didn't.

As the wedding approached I became more and more of a nervous bride and my emails and questions to Mike increased exponentially. He answered each one thoughtfully and made sure each change or adjustment I wanted to make was accommodated. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. The wedding turned out more beautiful then we could have ever imagined and the food was nothing short of SPECTACULAR. The food was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented and plentiful. The dishes were unique and impressive and we had so many options to choose from it really made it feel unique to our tastes and preferences. Everyone raved about how great our caterer was and I was thrilled with what we were able to get for the price we paid. It was cost effective without looking like we were on a budget!

As a DIY bride who wasn't sure everything would come together as I envisioned I couldn't have been more pleased with how it turned out. I owe so much of the success to Mike and his team. They went above and beyond to make our dream wedding a reality.

I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone planning a wedding or special event. Their professionalism, willingness to accommodate change, excellent food and fabulous service make them an outstanding vendor. We can't thank Mike and his team enough!

We were blown away by Simply Gourmet! From the very beginning, Mike worked to craft an amazingly delicious menu within our budget. Many of our guests had the highest compliments to the chef!

Beyond the food, Mike was extremely detail-oriented and trustworthy with all of our event and rental logistics. We saved a ton on a wedding coordinator because Simply Gourmet did this job phenomenally.

At the wedding, the Simply Gourmet staff went above and beyond to take care of us and make sure everything was going smoothly. All of the servers and the masters of ceremonies were so kind and delightful.

Finally, we had our post-wedding brunch catered by Simply Gourmet and the food was also a huge hit! We can't thank you guys enough for making our wedding the best it could be.

I would absolutely recommend Simply Gourmet! Mike was great to work with. He always promptly returned emails and phone calls, and I had a lot of questions. As a vegan, he worked with me to create a menu that would appeal to both meat eaters and veggie lovers. He took care of all the rentals, which was awesome. On the day of the wedding, his staff put together a great cocktail hour and fantastic buffet. I got so many comments on how great the food was, especially from the vegans and vegetarians who are used to very limited options. The peach pie was AMAZING. Everything about the night went smoothly, from set up to take down. Thank you Mike for being a part of our day!!

Michael Polasek and Simple Gourmet was the best choice for my daughter's wedding! Michael was accommodating, extremely knowledgeable and creative in creating a mix of barbecue style with a great amount of vegetarian and vegan options. He was delightful to meet with to discuss details and was very professional in addressing all the necessary "small" details that make a wedding perfect! The staff was responsive and very capable. My husband and I got married this past August at an outdoor venue in Rhinebeck. Mike and his crew worked with us tirelessly over a year to plan everything. He made the perfect menu, provided his insight and suggestions throughout the process and was able to recommend vendors for us, everything from a photographer to a rental company. The food was SUPERB and Mike was very flexible with us and are dietary needs. My husband is vegan and Mike was able to make plenty of vegan dishes that were pleasing to our guests, he even went out of his way to make us a vegan cake when we decided we didn't want a usual wedding cake! He went above and far beyond. Our venue was outdoors and required us to rent tables, chairs, linens, plates, and silverware - the works. Mike worked directly with the rental company to ensure we had every item we needed for the wedding to go off without a hitch. His crew set up the tables, chairs, linens and center pieces for us. This is far more than you can expect from any other caterer. He even met us at our wedding site a month before to show us visually how the tables and chairs would best look set up. He took down the numbers for our DJ and florist and promised to be the man in charge in case those vendors were late or lost. Working with this company was a joy - they are grounded in reality (don't try to oversell you on things you don't want or don't need), very kind and accommodating, and extremely capable. They are a well-oiled machine that knows exactly what to do. This was perfect for my family as we planned this day, considering we knew nothing about how to plan a wedding. Mike and his crew led the way and we followed and I can firmly say it was one of the best decisions we made throughout the whole planning process. I live in New York City and communicated with Mike mostly through email and phone calls - he always answered in a timely manner and made it very easy to work with him from a distance. I highly recommend!!

There is no better food or service than Simply Gourmet! If you want a wedding that is truly unique and catered TO YOU, this is it. Mike, the head chef, worked with us on every single detail from the menu to the linens and right down to the silverware. He put my mind at ease throughout the planning process and accommodated every one of my wacky special requests while working within our budget. On our wedding day, Simply Gourmet's staff was professional and courteous, ensuring everything was perfect from the service of the meal to the presentation of the favors. Patti, the maitre d, is fabulous!! She made sure my husband and I had drinks in hand and were never hungry. Not to mention, Mike's food is AMAZING!! Family and friends have not stopped raving about cocktail hour (THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD!!!) , or Mike's mac and cheese. Simply Gourmet is now my whole family's go-to caterer for all special events. We have since used them for two bridal showers, Thanksgiving dinner, and a holiday party. SIMPLY GOURMET IS SIMPLY THE BEST!

Simply Gourmet catered our wedding a little over a year ago and I can't say enough about the amazing job Mike and his crew did.

We first met Mike at our tasting and he was extremely pleasant and professional, just a fun guy to work with. We told him what we wanted as our theme (Italian, Autumn, that kind of stuff) and he came up with some great suggestions to start. His butternut squash soup and mushroom risotto in particular ended up being fantastic. But the best part was when we told Mike that we wanted to incorporate a couple of authentic Korean dishes into the cocktail hour (my husband and I are Korean-American). He said he had never made Korean food for something on this scale before, but he would give it a try. So we brought a small bowl of Budae Jigae (a Korean soup/stew) from NYC and gave it to him. A week later we went back to Simply Gourmet and he had us try his version. My husband tried a spoonful and then gave me the bowl. A few minutes later Mike and my husband looked at me and started laughing. I had inhaled the entire thing and forgot to give my husband another bite because it was so good. (FYI: I am incredibly picky about my Korean food) Mike had used the batch we gave him and replicated the dish to a T. And what Mike had never made before ended up being one of the best dishes at the wedding.

As if that wasn't enough, Mike and his staff also provided post-wedding late night drunk food (chicken fingers, mac and cheese) and brunch the following morning (sausage, eggs, pancakes). Even basic dishes like that were delicious. And he did all of this at a reasonable price that included rentals.

Mike was easy to get in touch with, accommodating throughout the entire process, and the most down-to-earth chef we met. If you need someone to cater your event, this is your guy.

My husband and I just got married this past 4th of July and Simply Gourmet catered our entire 145 person barn wedding. They were AMAZING! Mike worked on the menu with us to make it exactly what we wanted. Mac and cheese and Philly cheese steak stations, steak kebabs, exquisite salmon, salads, fresh grilled veggies...and he even rented blenders to do a specialty milkshake for dessert!
Mike is super buttoned up...by far the most organized and responsive caterer (and we had met and spoken to a lot of caterers...Mike and his team blew us away). But beyond everything running smoothly, the food was AMAZING! Mike went to the highly-acclaimed Culinary Institute in New Hyde Park and his food is outstanding. I kid you not, I had at least 40 people come up to me the night of the wedding and tell me this was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. People that don't even like mac and cheese said they had seconds! It was great.

The other great thing about Mike and his crew is that they cook everything fresh. Right their on the premise. That was a huge thing to us because we had talked to a lot of caterers that would prep before and bring it all in heat boxes...not Mike. Everything is so fresh and believe me, it makes a giant difference.

Mike also just got his liquor license which is amazing and such a big thing to check off my to do list since the venue we were at did not have one. He gave me a great price and even worked with our mixologist friend to create a specialty cocktail for all of the guests.

Simply Gourmet is simply the best!

My wedding was this past September 2013, and we could not have picked a better, more professional caterer than Simply Gourmet! Mike the owner and master chef, consistently went above and beyond to make our special day stress free and perfect, not forgetting a single detail or request. From the very beginning trust was undoubtedly there, which made our experience smooth and easy. Being 7mo pregnant and stressed to the max, Mike would put all my anxieties at ease on a weekly, if not daily basis. His tireless and professional work ethic reflected on his entire work and waitstaff, as they went above and beyond for all of my guests. And lets just say, they are not an easy crowd to please! My venue was put together exactly, if not better than I could have ever imagined that I actually cried when I first saw it. Can't say enough wonderful things about Simply Gourmet!!! I would highly recommend this TOP NOTCH caterer for any occasion.

Absolutely Excellent

Everything about working with Mike and the team at Simply Gourmet was wonderful! We had a big, outdoor wedding in October 2022, at a pretty unique venue, and SG was able to handle every aspect of the day perfectly. The planning process was straightforward, and Mike was very transparent about any costs or comparative options. We opted for buffet style, and it was so impressive how quickly everything moved along! And at the end of the day, the food was absolutely delicious. We happened to attend a wedding shortly after that was also catered by Simply Gourmet, so we know it’s not just the glow of our own wedding; the food and the staff are truly excellent. My husband and I had *extremely* high standards for food and we couldn’t have been happier!

Wedding Caterer

Simply Gourmet was an outstanding caterer for our wedding this July at Nostrano Vineyards in Milton, NY! Mike was a super helpful and clear communicator in the months leading up to the wedding, the entire staff was INCREDIBLE on the day of the wedding--especially Tammy--you're my hero! (making sure we got to eat and drink, super attentive, moving tables last minute into the barn during a rain storm!) Their attention to detail and amazing work the night of allowed my husband and I to feel relaxed and genuinely enjoy our entire reception without having to worry about everything! On top of this the food was delicious and many wedding guests commented on how delicious the food was and how varied the options were---our vegetarian friends commented that it was an amazing selection for them as well! I would HIGHLY recommend working with Simply Gourmet!

We loved these guys. They were laid back, direct, and easy to work with. Reasonably priced, and worth every penny. The food was SO good, and the service was really professional and quick. There was never anyone waiting around for anything. They really went above and beyond. They even put together an amazing little kids buffet with kid friendly foods, for no extra charge!! They were just a pleasure work with, and great at what they do. I highly recommend them!

Mike and his team did a fantastic job for us. Our relationship started with a tasting at his restaurant and then negotiated price over several emails, and struck a deal based on his high quality food, attention to detail, and great value.

Mike was helpful in planning all the particulars for our reception, including partnering with a local rental company to acquire extra farm tables, chairs, arbor, etc - this made our lives easier with one less vendor to deal with.

Feedback I got from my guests regarding his food was exceptional - not a bad word uttered. My aunt, a professional chef, commented that his cheese spread at the cocktail hour was exquisite - she has done catering for over a decade and was impressed with Mike's high quality ingredients and presentation. One of Mike's staff even came out to greet my wife and I with drinks and a tray of our hors d'oeuvres after our ceremony ended and during our picture time.

There was a minor issue with the bar setup at our reception - we had a long queue of people waiting for drinks at the single bar setup. Mike did end up correcting this by organizing trays of passed beers and wine to shorten the line and keep people moving.

I did not get to eat much of the food at my reception due to the typical socializing expected of the groom, but I did get to eat a big tray of leftovers the next day and was thoroughly satisfied. Each entree that we discussed was executed with fresh seasonal ingredients, cooked to perfection.

I gave 4 stars on flexibility - we had a number of people cancel last minute (about 5 days prior to wedding) that brought our guest count down significantly. Mike did stipulate final guest count one week prior, but I would have appreciated more of a reduction in rate than we received given that he had to serve about 12 fewer people than we originally planned.

Regardless, fantastic execution and highly recommend.

Mike catered our wedding in Hudson, NY earlier this summer and he did a terrific job. The food was delicious, fresh, and local. Many of our guests gushed about the quality of the food. In the lead up to the "big day," Mike was extremely professional, always responding to our emails and questions in less than 24 hours. Mike was also flexible in accommodating our special wishes and worked within our budget. On the day of the wedding, we had erratic weather (sunshine mixed with thunderstorms), and so it made our outdoor cocktail hour challenging, but through it all, Mike and his team strived to make the best of the occasion, which we greatly appreciated.
