Peggy was fantastic to work with and made the day go so smoothly! We are glad we had her for more than just the day of to help coordinate vendors and help us with things we didn’t event know about!

Peggy Walker was the Best

Peggy Walker was a pleasure to work with. She works very hard to ensure the wedding day is perfect. She goes above and beyond and assisted us in many ways. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a day of coordinator who cares and provides excellence.

Peggy Walker wedding planner/Simplicity

I thought I was organized! Our wedding planner, Peggy Walker, was spot on. So easy to work with and had so much knowledge to offer. If I had any questions she had the answers. Peggy coordinated all our vendors, which made the day run so smoothly. She also made herself available 24/7 which was so valuable to me. Peggy is worth her weight in gold!

We really enjoyed working with Peggy Walker of Simplicity! She was very supportive, responsive, and thorough in her organization of our special day. Peggy helped things flow smoothly on the day-of, and made sure that my husband and myself were enjoying ourselves, above all else. We didn’t think we needed a wedding planner at first, but we are very relieved that we went with Peggy. You never really know what all goes into a wedding till you have an outside perspective! Excellent!

Courtney was a fantastic wedding planner! We hired her for the unlimited package, and it may have been the best decision we made planning a "destination" wedding in Roanoke all the way from Utah. Throughout the entire planning process, she was there to give us fantastic advice and keep us on track through phone calls that she so graciously worked around our schedules for. She was relaxed when we would become unnecessarily stressed about planning things, but she was direct and to-the-point when things needed to get done. She got all the vendors on the same page prior to the wedding weekend, and everything went off without a hitch. A few months prior to the wedding, we had two separate transportation companies back out of contracts with us (nothing to do with Courtney!), and Courtney was quickly calling everyone she could think of to make sure we were taken care of! During our wedding weekend, she successfully kept our wedding party and our large families calm and on time to everything (no small feat if you’d know our families!). We would recommend her to anyone, and we cannot thank her enough for helping to make our day so so magical. Thanks, Courtney!

Almost 6 months from our wedding, and I'm finally getting around to writing reviews, but our team of vendors was too fantastic to not show them some love. Vicki was a HUGE reason why we loved our vendor team so much. Throughout the planning process, she was available, flexible and always ready to listen or offer a hand. She also allowed my husband, my mom and I to all feel like we were still in control, but we had her available as our right hand woman WHENEVER we needed something. The day of the wedding - we were all able to relax and enjoy. Everything went perfectly, and I have no doubt that Vicki was the best choice for wedding planner we could have made.

Courtney was so wonderful to work with. We hired her a month out when we realized we couldn't handle coordinating the wedding on our own. She went above and beyond to coordinate with our vendors, create a schedule, and make sure everything was running smoothly behind the scenes. Our wedding day would have been so stressful without Courtney managing everything. She was indispensable and even ran across the hotel when she realized I was about to walk down the aisle without my veil. I couldn't have done it without Courtney, and hiring her was the best wedding decision we made.

If we didn't have Vicki planning our wedding, I don't think it ever would have happened! She helped us find vendors who matched our interests and took away a lot of stress. She was quick to respond to emails and did not hesitate in repeatedly contacting others to make sure tasks got done. She was a joy to work with and I hope everyone can have a wedding planner as helpful as her!

Vicki was absolutely the best! She's like a fairy godmother but only if your fairy godmother is the queen of wedding planning! She helped guide me and my significant other to have the wedding we wanted (we initially didn't know what we wanted). She showed extreme patience when I would ask the same thing over and over and honestly had no idea where to start with things. The ENTIRE process she also kept an air of confidence that was so reassuring and comforting, it helped keep the whole process from getting overwhelming. THE BEST! I would recommend her to anyone.

I would highly recommend Vicki Itson to be your wedding planner. She is smart, sweet, knowledgeable and always reassuring when the bride or MOB is getting stressed. She always makes you feel like you are truly important. She made two of my daughters weddings totally relaxed and so much fun because I didn’t worry about one little thing at all!

Vicki and her team were absolutely fantastic and a dream to work with. Despite all the challenges that come with planning a wedding in Virginia from Alaska, Vicki made the process easy and painless. She was very quick to answer any questions we had during the process as well as ask us questions that we may not have thought of ourselves. Not only is she very thorough and detail oriented, Vicki has a wonderful personality and knew when to be serious and keep everyone in line and focused and when to just let loose and have a little fun. She seamlessly coordinated all of our vendors behind the scenes, reducing our stress levels on the day of our wedding. In fact, during the planning process, several of our vendors said, "Oh! We've worked with Vicki before and you are in great hands!" We seriously cannot say enough good things about Vicki and her team at Simplicity.

Brides-to-be, you NEED Simplicity! Vicki and Ryan made the planning process fun and stress-free. They're both professional, composed, and get the job done! Vicki and Ryan were extremely responsive to all our needs, from answering our questions, taking our calls/emails, and coordinating everything regarding our wedding, from floral to lighting to farewell brunch. Vicki made us feel important, calmed our nerves, and took everything off our plates so we could enjoy our special, pre-wedding time. She recommended vendors and work closely within our budget to meet every need. Working together, we made a great team, and Vicki and Ryan ensured we had our dream wedding -- no detail was overlooked. On the day-of, Ryan coordinated everything during the ceremony and reception. We couldn't have asked for more.

Having connections in the wedding industry sure helped us in the planning process, but having Vicki there gave me such a peaceful feeling. I live in California but was having my wedding in Virginia. I had several tragic losses just before my wedding, to include the loss my father. Simplicity showed every bit of compassion and understanding when I couldn't remember anything due to all the stress and devastation I was going through. Even when things were happy in planning Vicki and her team worked around the time difference to make sure they could get in touch with me. They took care of things that were out of sight out of mind for me. Even when it poured down rain on my wedding day, Vicki was right there with a poncho to keep me dry. That itself could summarize my experience with them...that no matter how hard it 'rained' Simplicity was there with an 'umbrella' to keep me dry.

As the mother of the bride, I highly recommend Vicki Itson of Simplicity. Even after only the first meeting (of which she provided ample), I could see the difference in my daughter's stress level, as well as my own! Vicki came through with all promises. It was interesting to talk to vendors, who shared that they had already spoken with Vicki, whom they knew well in the business and knew she made sure things were as the bride requested. Worth every penny and then some!

Peace of mind, reliable, thorough, responsive, personable. It was a pleasure to have Vicki in charge of the wedding day. I cannot express how greatful I am to Vicki and Amina for helping me bring to life my dream wedding! Vicki is absolutely wonderful! She made the little things about the planning process so much easier. There is NO way I could have managed everything without her. She not only cares (and I mean, genuinely cares) about her clients, but she has the patience of a saint and made sure to respond to every email, text, phone call, and in-person meeting request. She is so personable and enjoyable to work with -- other brides told me that I absolutely should not go without investing in at least a "day of" coordinator and I am so glad I took their advice, or else I would have never met Vicki! Being mother of the bride is a very special time but it can be very stressful. The best way to keep that stress to a minimum and truly enjoy the experience is to hire Vicki as your wedding planner. She was fantastic. When my daughter and I first met with her I had intended to hire her for just the day of the wedding, to direct the events of the day. Once we had our first meeting at Starbucks after work one evening, I knew I needed her for the entire planning process. She was there for us to give advice, answer questions, make suggestions, handle telephone calls we didn't want to make like telling vendors we had chosen someone else. Anything and everything we needed, Vicki was there. She is organized, resourceful, knowledgeable, dependable, accomodating, and the sweetest, kindest person you will ever meet. We are so thankful to have found her , she did an amazing job.

Vicki was absolutely amazing! At first we weren't sure we were going to get a wedding planner but at the urging of our florist we met with Vicki and that was all it took! We were hooked and knew that she had to be a part of our big day. Looking back now I don't know that we would ever have gotten through it without the amazing help and assistance Vicki provided. From providing fresh ideas we hadn't thought of during the planning process, to answering frantic calls with a calm voice only to settle us down, right up to the day of everything was perfect. I wouldn't change a single thing and Vicki made that possible, I would recommend her services to everyone!

Even on the morning of the wedding, I texted her to make a last minute change in the agenda, and she took care of it no problem. Highly organized, totally relaxed, and basically my personal hero. Also, a BARGAIN in the ever-overpriced wedding business. In fact, you may SAVE money by working with someone who knows the tricks of the trade and can negotiate with other vendors on your behalf. There is no way I could have worked my full-time job and gotten my wedding planned without her. And on the day of the event, there was magically an assistant there helping to tell everyone where to be, so everything went off more or less without a hitch. Don't think twice -- pick Vicki!

Vicki is not just a wedding planner she quickly becomes a friend. From the moment I met with Vicki, I never once felt stressed or overwhelmed even on the day of our wedding because Vicki was always an email or phone call away to answer any and every question I had. More than that, a lot of times she answered questions I hadn't even thought about! She has so many wonderful, trusted contacts in the wedding industry that take the guess work out of booking vendors and you know you will be getting the tried and true best. Our wedding day was by far one of the BEST days of our lives and that was at least in part due to Vicki, her team, and all of the help she gave along the way.

Vicki makes planning and pulling off a wedding a near stress free task! My daughter and I met Vicki about a year ago when we were beginning to plan her wedding and were instantly smitten with her friendly demeanor, her knowledge, her ideas and plans for how she might help us. And help us she did! All along the planning path, she made sure all details were addressed, meeting with and following up with vendors as needed, meeting with us and answering my many phone calls and emails, all with a smile on her face (yes I could even see that through the phone/computer) and tons of patience and support. When wedding weekend arrived, we simply turned over the reins to Vicki and she took care of everything. We got to enjoy the day and spend time with family and friends while Vicki made sure that all progressed as we had hoped and planned. The day was a wonderful one with no glitches or mishaps and that is because of Vicki. She is truly a professional in her field! My husband, parents and I cannot say enough positive things about Vicki and her ability to plan and coordinate our wedding seamlessly. From day one of meeting with Vicki, it felt as if we knew her and concluded our meeting with a hug! She went above and beyond any expectations we could have set, from suggesting vendors, providing planning ideas and recommendations, coming to vendor meetings, providing guidance about areas to save money, reviewing contracts and communicating with our vendors prior to the wedding to ensure everyone was on the same page and aware of our wedding day timeline. I never once felt stressed or worried during the planning process or about how our wedding day would turn out. Vicki allowed my family, wedding party, guests, husband and myself to truly enjoy our wedding day as she kept the event in line with our wedding agenda and made sure everything went smoothly. She literally thinks of everything and prepares for any potential scenarios - and if it's something we hadn't discussed prior to the day of, Vicki knew me well enough to make those "game time" decisions for me. Simply AWESOME! Vicki was the BEST thing I spent money on while helping to plan my daughter's wedding. I contacted Vicki to be the "day of" coordinator, after finding the basic vendors ourselves. I started to panic about who was going to take care of the details on the wedding day. I didn't want my friends & family to "work" that day, and I wanted to enjoy the day too! Vicki was very organized and thought of every detail. She met with us at the venue (a 2 hour drive from her) a couple of months ahead of time to discuss all the details. She was accepting of my daughter's "vision" and had great suggestions for executing it, while not trying to push things because "everyone does that" or "you can't have a wedding without.." She was readily available by email & phone after our meeting. She coordinated the other vendors' schedules, ran the rehearsal, set up the DIY venue the day of, and even ordered/picked up boutonniers. She & her staff took care of everything before, during & after the wedding: setting up & serving drinks, clearing tables, cleaning up & packaging the leftovers. If something came up, I just looked to Vicki to handle it. Everyone enjoyed the wedding, most of all me, because I didn't have to worry about anything. Again, BEST money I spent!

Vicki is amazing. She is probably the most organized person you will ever meet. From the initial stages of planning to the big day she was helpful without being intrusive. Any needs you had were met. She even has her "Mary Poppins" bag with any last minute item you could possibly need. The wedding and reception went without a hitch because Vicki was there to make sure everything and everyone was where they needed to be. She always has a smile on her face, and a big hug to calm any nerves. If you are looking for a wedding planner, look no further. I highly recommend her.

Vicki was the best decision I made for our wedding. We live 5 hours away from where we got married, so I definitely needed someone local, and I definitely needed someone there the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly. I did several searches for wedding planners in the area, and Vicki was by far the best option. She was great with communication; I emailed her all the time and always heard back within a few hours. With her help, I was able to find the perfect caterer, florist, and transportation services (I had already chosen the other vendors by the time I booked Vicki). I work full-time and constantly had wedding brain, so Vicki was my main communicator with my vendors and she was amazing! She made an agenda, diagram, and heavily planned the flow of events for wedding day. On the day of, she could not have been more phenomenal. She picked up the flowers, orchestrated the ceremony and reception, and even helped pack up gifts and things! I could not have chosen a better planner/coordinator. Every time I felt like I was going to go crazy, she quickly calmed me down and made me realize that everything would be perfect. Though I didn't think everything would work out on wedding day, it sure enough did and was the most PERFECT day ever!! So thankful I chose to work with Vicki (:

Vicki was the greatest! We had a newborn to take care of while planning the wedding and I was very busy with school, but Vicki was always on top of everything. She really was the best at keeping us updated on what was done, what we needed to do, and offered to help with anything and everything. She really went above and beyond and took care of us extremely well. She made our wedding day as stress free and wonderful as it possibly could have been. I can't recommend her enough!

We hired Vicki for "day of" coordination, but she wound up helping us far more than just on the wedding day. She did an amazing job and really helped take the stress off! It was so nice to be able to sit back and enjoy our wedding knowing that every last detail (even ones we hadn't thought of) was taken care of! Our wedding wouldn't have been as great as it was without you! Thanks again!

I do not know what my daughter and I would have done without Vicki!!! We were both struggling and had no idea where to start to plan a wedding! I found Simplicity online and Vicki called me back right away. The first time we met with her, my daughter told her what her vision of her wedding was and Vicki new the right vendors for us to contact. Vicki was always available to answer our many questions, to set up appointments for us, to look over contracts and to help us with whatever we needed. We highly recommend Vicki to plan your wedding!

I would strongly encourage any bride to consider using Vicki's services to help make their day stress free and perfect. We were so glad we decided to use her. She always responded immediately to calls, emails, texts and even facebook messages! She went out of her way to find convenient times to meet and she was always so well prepared and stocked with great ideas. There are so many good things I have to say about Vicki. I don't even know where to start. She is so friendly, helpful, and easy to get along with; as well as caring and thoughtful. Anytime that I needed her she was so helpful and reassured me that everything would be ok. Anything I had a problem with she would take care of. My day was ABSOLUTELY perfect and I have to give the credit to her because without her I would have pulled my hair out. I highly recommend you use a wedding coordinator for your wedding and I insist that you use Simplicity!

Vicki with Simplicity is a pleasure to work with! My husband, Erik and I worked with her for our wedding in May 2012. We were beginning our wedding planning in the Fall. After a few weeks in the process, we realized that we had booked our ceremony & reception the weekend of Mother's Day. Not the best idea when you need a florist. After multiple phone calls with no success in booking a florist, we decided to call a professional planner to help us in our search. I spoke with Vicki one weekend over the phone and she put me at ease immediately by letting me know that she was on it. I was so impressed! We had yet to even meet in person and Vicki was determined to get us a florist. She got back with me in record speed on a local florist in Roanoke who was willing to work on our wedding. From there we were sold on Vicki as our planner. She continued to be nothing but awesome throughout our entire planning process. She was responsive, creative, flexible, easy to talk with, thorough, and has a great sense of humor. Our wedding and reception turned out wonderful and we had a stress-free day with the help from Vicki. She made sure that all of the details for the day were in place so we could enjoy our special day with family and friends. We would recommend Vicki without reservation. She is fantastic!

She saved the day .... over and over and over! Vicki's suggestions were spot-on perfect. I bet she saved me more money that I paid her to help plan my wedding. She also told me to make her the bad guy and it worked perfect! If my mother or mom-in-law wanting something that I didn't. Vicki ran interference for me and made my wedding my way. She recommended the perfect vendors for me and even had the best suggetions about our food selections!! She had some better ideas than even my caterer did. Thank you!!

High marks for Vicki! She was extremely helpful and had so much patience with us! Our daughter chose to have her wedding out of state in Virginia, and we relied heavily on Vicki's knowledge and experience with local vendors, and how to best host out-of-town guests. She never pushed her numerous vendor connections; rather provided us those appropriate for the bride's theme, allowed us to make a choice (which also saved us time). Vicki was always very prompt with responses to ANY questions sent to her: no question was too silly. I would have liked more contact/updates about 6 months out, but Vicki was available via both phone and email. Vicki was very professional the day of the big event...handling last minute details with vendors, fine orchestration of the big day, gracefully managed any issues with guests, and even packed up left over food and organized items to return to vendors the next day. We were very pleased with Simplicity, who pulled together a "simply" magical day!

Not sure what I would have done without Vicki. She is the best! She was so good and organized, and made sure every question was answered before the wedding so everyone was prepared. Vicki is a pleasure to work with. I hired her about a month before the wedding to help with all of the last minute organizing and day of the wedding chaos. She was great about contacting vendors and setting up meetings. She creates a wonderful document for the wedding to make sure everyone associated with the wedding knows what is suppose to happen and when. We had a few glitches the day of the wedding but nothing major. It was nice to have her there to deal with everything so I could just enjoy myself. If you can afford it I would recommend her to anyone.

Having a coordinator is a wedding must!!

No matter how big or small your wedding is hiring a wedding coordinator is a must!!! It takes so much unneeded stress off of the bride and groom.
