Outstanding!
I hired a day-of planner as I planned my daughter’s wedding out of state in only 5 months. Alyssa is a phenomenal planner. She gets to know the bride and her vision for her wedding day. She is meticulous and had every detail covered. When the bride’s grandmother who lives out of state realized after rehearsal dinner that she left her dress at home, Alyssa was at the mall when it opened Saturday morning and picked up a few dresses to try on before the 11 am wedding. Sadly, size was the issue and there was not enough time to exchange but THAT is how committed she is to her clients.
Thanks to Alyssa and Simple Elegance I was able to thoroughly enjoy my daughter’s wedding and reception in Kansas City.
Everyone should hire a planner and I cannot thank Alyssa and Simple Elegance enough for all their TLC that made my daughter’s wedding day so beautiful, so memorable and so fun. They are KC’s finest!

I hired Lucia at Simple Elegance as Day of Coordinator for my daughter's wedding in January. We started meeting with Lucia a couple of months before the wedding and from there she became the main contact with all vendors. Lucia has much knowledge about wedding planning and was able to guide us and help set a "day of" schedule that kept things running smoothly. In the short time we worked together, Lucia became a friend and great support system. The day of the wedding we didn't have to worry about anything as she did it all. Thank you, Lucia! -

Ask for Holly!!!
Hiring Holly was by far the best decision we made planning this wedding! We wanted to have the wedding at my parents house, but we had never had an event on the scale of a wedding there before. So we knew there was going to be a lot of different work involved with planning than if we were to hold it at a typical venue, like figuring out bathrooms, where the caterer would store food and how far apart tables would be. And long story short, we would have been TOTALLY lost without Holly! She has an amazing ability to listen to our vague and probably confusing ideas and turning them into beautiful realities. Even throughout the chaos of postponing our wedding due to COVID and then dealing with rain on our wedding day, she was totally on it at every step of the way. And on top of that, she is just a really cool person and it was a joy to get to hang out with her during our monthly wedding calls for nearly two years.
Also for anyone else who is considering hiring Holly (which you totally should just do now and stop looking), my biggest piece of advice is to listen to her recommendations for other vendors. Because she's worked with so many people in the industry, she has great relationships with tons of top-notch vendors in the area. When we were first picking our team, there were a couple of instances where I had found a company on social media or through other referrals that I was leaning toward hiring over the vendors she had suggested. She was never pushy with her recommendations and in the few cases where I did pick different options, she was totally supportive. But with most of them, we ended up going with her recommendations because we trusted her vision, and they turned out to be the best options we possibly could have had. As a bonus, some of them even gave us discounts because they prefer to work with Holly and her team.
All in all, working with Holly and her team was an amazing experience!! Our wedding was the most beautiful, magical day and we can't thank her enough!-

An amazing planner!
Nichole was such a vital part of our planning process, and ensured that everything on the day of ran smoothly and as planned! I had so many visions in my head about what I wanted everything to look like, but I also wanted to be able to enjoy my day, hands off from the hard work of making my vision come to life. Nichole acted as my hands and my eyes and made sure everything in my vision came to life beautifully! She ran things throughout the whole day and evening so smoothly, and always with a smile on her face. Holly made my wedding dream a reality!
I highly, HIGHLY recommend Holly Davidson as a wedding coordinator. Holly is everything- organized, flexible, creative, and so much fun to work with! Holly takes the time to get to know you, your personality, your family's personality, and you/your family's wants/needs in order to help you plan and execute the wedding that fits YOUR dream. Holly knows that there is no 1 size fits all and works really hard to make sure your wedding is unique and special. Holly has incredible taste and was able to help me make the best informed decisions. She let me taike control of the parts that I had a vision for and was able to guide me with areas that I felt less comfortable. She is so awesome about laying out options, pricing, styles, etc. She truly has a gift for planning weddings. My entire family loved Holly, enjoyed working with her, and would recommend her to anyone we know. If you are with Holly, you are in great hands. -

Holly Davidson is extremely good at what she does and an absolute pleasure to work with.
We have worked with Holly Davidson for the weddings of both our daughter and son within the past year. Our daughter's wedding was local while or son's wedding was more of a destination wedding. Holly handled all of the arrangements for both perfectly. So worked harmoniously will all of the vendors, making terrific suggestions for all of them, worked well with the venues and on the wedding day worked tireously behind the scenes and with guests, the wedding party and all of the family to make sure everything came off as planned. Her grace under pressure, ability to communicate with all, and attention to details were remarkable. All of the vendors we worked with who had worked with Holly commented on how good she was to work with and that we were in good hands working with her. We certainly found that to be the case. Another important item is that she is able to work with clients on budget issues to make sure that the overall costs are in line with expectations. She is extremely good at her work and was a joy to work with. We would highly recommend Holly to anyone. -

We chose Holly at Simple Elegance as our wedding planner because of the phenomenal work she had done previously for our sister's wedding. This time, she planned for a wedding to take place in northern Michigan while we (the bride and groom) lived in Houston and our parents lived in Kansas City! From the very beginning, Holly takes the time to get to know you as a couple and your vision. She is able to expertly tailor to your needs and desires by offering advice and guidance that makes you feel accomplished and stress-free. Holly navigated our schedules and concerns with the utmost professionalism and kindness - making sure that we always felt taken care of and confident at each step. She blended working with various vendors from Kansas City and Michigan seamlessly and graciously.
While Holly had a previous engagement with a wedding in Kansas City for the date of our wedding and was not physically in Michigan, we definitely experienced the effects of her hard work and so pleased by the outcome of working with Holly and Simple Elegance even from afar. Holly's attention to detail and organization while planning for several events during the wedding week ensured that our vendor team was informed and efficient while giving us the opportunity to enjoy time with our friends and family that had all flown into northern Michigan all week leading up to the wedding day itself. Being able to relax and actually spend time with the people you love instead of having to worry about things as the bride and groom is invaluable! We keep reminiscing about all of the interactions we able to have with our guests that would otherwise have been missed.
Choosing Simple Elegance and working with Holly has truly been one of the highlights of the wedding planning process. We are so grateful for all of the work that went into making this event such a beautiful reality! -

Lisa Forbes made wedding planning an absolute dream! My husband and I were both attempting to plan our Kansas City wedding while in medical school in another city and were so stressed. Lisa took over 3 months before the wedding and made the rest of the wedding planning process SO EASY! She kept track of all the vendors, finalized all the details and deadlines, and reminded us of a million little things we never would have thought about.
On the day of the wedding, Lisa kept everything running smoothly and handled last minute MAJOR changes like a real pro. I can't even begin to explain how amazing and essential she was during that day. I have no idea how all the details actually happened on the day of but everything ended up where it was supposed to be and when it was supposed to be there and I know that's all thanks to Lisa!

Holly was an absolute delight to work with! From our first meeting she put us at ease and joyfully guided us through the wedding planning process. Each month she gave us different tasks to complete so no month was too overwhelming. She listened to all of our desires and guided us to appropriate vendors for our wedding day. Holly was also fantastic at helping me communicate my vision for my wedding. I showed her a few Pinterest inspiration pictures and she was able to put all of my details together and communicate them to vendors. She was always available for advice or questions during our planning process. The amount of "behind the scenes" work she did communicating with vendors and putting together the wedding weekend itinerary is incredible and helped ensure our day flowed smoothly. The week of our wedding we only had to worry about spending time with family and friends because Holly was putting together the last minute details and setting up our items at the venue.
The day of the wedding Holly was accompanied by two wonderful assistants. Everyone was delightful and one person was always available if I needed any assistance, such as helping take off and put my veil away or getting me water and a quick snack. They discreetly and gently guided us through our wedding day so we could focus on welcoming guests and spending time with each other. I never once had to worry about the itinerary for the day or what I needed to be doing, I could truly live in the moment by having Holly and her team direct us through the day.
I am so thankful we used Simple Elegance for our wedding planning needs. They were always gracious, welcoming and helpful in planning our big day! I could not imagine my wedding day without Holly with us helping to ensure everything was beautiful and ran smoothly. My wedding went above and beyond my expectations thanks to Simple Elegance! -

I think that these women should have statues erected in their honor, because they have changed the face of what it means to get married. Megan and Kindra brought so much professionalism, expertise, counsel, guidance, and grace to planning our wedding and making it perfect. We had questions about the weather on the day of the event--something we couldn't control-- but Megan took matters into her hands and coordinated with the space to accommodate a possible rainstorm. We were able to have the ceremony outside as we planned, but her wise planning allowed us to dance and party with the band indoors while it thundered and rained outside. It just made it that much better. We had people in our ceremony with special needs, and she helped us to rehearse until everything was perfect. Vendors were looked after, the wrong silverware was replaced with the right silverware, the seating chart was honored, she was there when we needed her, and without her our wedding would have not been what it was. I'm convinced about this. She made our wedding fantastic from beginning to end. Our highest recommendation to the event planners at Simple Elegance. -

My husband and I had the opportunity to work with Lisa for an entire year planning the PERFECT outdoor barn wedding - in August in Missouri... With the majority of my family being from out of town, planning a wedding without any help seemed very daunting for me. After our first meeting with Lisa, I knew with her by my side, the planning process was going to be a breeze. My then fiance and I met with Lisa once a month for the year leading up to our wedding and she helped us accomplish literally every detail. Lisa was always so easy to reach and so willingly to help and answer any question we may have had. With this being the first wedding in both of our families, neither my husband or I really knew a ton about the wedding planning process or wedding etiquette. Lisa is very knowledgeable on all aspects of the wedding planning process and helped us to plan the perfect day by looking at all aspects of the day. She helped us to ensure that everyone from the guests, our families, the vendors, and most importantly, us, were all accounted for on the day of. With our wedding being mainly outdoor in August in Missouri, we really wanted to do the best we could to make sure everyone was comfortable and Lisa helped and reassured us immensely. We are so thankful for all of her help, and couldn't recommend Lisa and the Simple Elegance team more!! -

Lisa and Simple Elegance were amazing! We had no idea what we wanted to do and she was able to help us with every part of our wedding. She learned what we were most interested in and tailored her recommendations to what we'd like so that we didn't have to waste time with venues or vendors that we weren't interested in. We were able to stay on track and on time, and come wedding day we just had to show up! Everything went perfectly and neither of us had to stress a bit. We might not be getting married again, but we'd recommend Simple Elegance if its your turn to tie the knot! -

Holly Davidson was an absolute dream to work with! Being the first of three girls in my family, we weren't familiar with the process of how to plan a wedding, so we were highly recommended to call Holly. We are so fortunate we had Holly with us throughout the wedding planning process.

We just had our wedding in Kansas City, MO June 10, 2017 and our wedding planner was Lisa Forbes. We planned our wedding from Florida, so I wanted to make sure we got the best of the best to put us at ease during our 15 months of planning. We couldn't have been more at ease during the entire process.
Lisa was always extremely prepared for our monthly phone meetings and always very detailed in every aspect of the wedding planning. She would answer any silly question we had, even though we likely already knew the answer, she still always took the time to assure us everything was okay and in line or already done (usually it was already done). When it came to picking vendors (DJ, Florist, Cake, Photography, Catering, Invitations, Venue, Decor, etc...) she gave us several options to choose from and always gave us her honest opinion on each depending on our own unique personalities, budget and style we we had visioned for our wedding.
Lisa is extremely knowledgable on all the wedding etiquette; "the do's, don'ts and shoulds"...which was very helpful. She met absolutely every expectation we had set for planning a wedding, let alone, planning a wedding from Florida. She is good with the small details (and the big, of course), but things we don't even think about, the logistics, the time lines, everything. She nailed it.
Our wedding day could not have went any smoother. Having Lisa and her team along our side the entire duration of the day, from 10am - midnight, put everyone at ease. I had mentally prepared for at least one thing to not go as planned, but I can confidently say not one thing went wrong. The day was exactly how we had envisioned and all of our work (and of course Lisa's) came to life. It was the most beautiful day and wedding and we will FOREVER be grateful for Lisa landing in our lives. Her fun/witty personality, incredible work ethic and being so detail oriented and organized was a true blessing and something we'll always be thankful we invested in. -

Words can’t even express how grateful I am to have worked with Holly Davidson. She was the most professional, organized and patient wedding coordinator. There wasn’t anything to stress about because she always kept us on track, was prepared for every meeting and her attention to detail was spot on. I looked forward to our meetings because Holly is so fun to be around and has the sweetest personality.
Holly has very strong relationships with a ton of vendors and was able to get us in touch with a lot of them quickly. She provided a lot of good suggestions without forcing her opinion on you…she wanted everything to be my decision, which I appreciated. In the beginning, I sort of knew what I wanted…but had a hard time explaining. She wanted everything to be unique to us as a couple and really helped me develop the wedding of my dreams. The wedding perfectly reflected our relationship.
She always had a great advice such as proper etiquette for invitations and escort cards, tipping vendors, and was upfront and realistic when it came to our budget. She would advise if she thought something was worth it based on the expense and we really appreciated that. I also utilized her company Holly and Ivy Gifts and Events for my welcome gifts at the hotel for out of town guests. Holly and Kristin made that process completely stress free and if you want one less thing to worry about, I strongly recommend using them!
I was literally able to just show up to my wedding and not worry about a single thing. If anything went wrong, I never even heard about it because she had everything under control. She put together an awesome schedule of events for the entire bridal party and family so everyone knew what to expect and where to be at what time. The wedding turned out dreamier than I could have ever imagined...I was completely blown away. Absolutely top notch service – Holly truly became a friend over our year of planning together and I hope to keep in touch!

Working with Lisa was an absolute joy. I will never forget the amount of anxiety we had being a newly engaged couple and finding Lisa was the best decision we've ever made!! She instantly relieved every ounce of stress I had the moment I first met with her. She was always so organized and prepared for each meeting. Being an out of town bride was one of my biggest concerns planning wise, but she truly made herself available whenever we needed her and was in constant communication with us. Lisa did a wonderful job giving us vendor referrals, helping us pick the best of the best photographers, band, florist, etc. She was such a huge help in figuring out our transportation schedule and logistics of what would make the day flow perfectly. All of the credit goes to Lisa and her team for the weekend flowing so smoothly. I honestly can say I did not worry for a single moment about one detail the day of the wedding. I couldn't believe how much FUN our wedding was, I truly had the best night of my life. And I think our parents, family and all the guests would 100% agree! All of the meetings and months of planning and prep were completely worth it. We couldn't have done it without her!! -

Although I'm originally from Kansas City, I was planning my wedding from West Virginia. Couple the distance with my type-A/OCD personality, I really needed someone who was super organized and very knowledgeable about wedding vendors and the entire wedding process. Lisa was all of those things and more. She helped me solidify the venue, caterer, florist, wedding cake, photographer, videographer, band, etc. If there were any problems or if any of the vendors did not follow through in a timely manner, Lisa was willing and quick to resolve it. She was very helpful, accommodated all of my crazy demands, organized and extremely professional. In addition, she provided a super detailed schedule for the wedding party, family and friends, and out of town guests. Everyone was very impressed with her and the wedding!
In sum, the weekend was flawless and the day of the wedding was stress free! I could not have asked for a better wedding planner. -

First, find all of the wedding planners with experience in your geographical area. Then narrow your list based on reviews. Read about all of them, in detail. Then choose Holly Davidson with Simple Elegance. She is "simply" the best! She came recommended from one of our best friends. I was one of her bridesmaids and had an intimate experience with the details. It was truly beautiful; better coordinated than I ever could've imagined.
We had moved 5 hours away from Kansas City, where my now husband and I originally met in medical school. A wedding coordinator was a must, as we are both very busy with our out-of-town jobs. Holly jumped right in. She started slowly one year from the wedding date letting us take our time with deciding our overall plan (number of guests, venues, hotel choice). Closer to the wedding date, we had more frequent phone calls discussing the details and the vendors. As an out-of-towner relatively unfamiliar with local wedding vendors, Holly gave us a list of 3-5 companies she highly recommended to help guide of choices. She never led us astray. She clearly has a close, well-established relationship with all the best vendors in the Kansas City area. There was even a major hotel issue on the wedding weekend and not only did she address their mistake but she made for even better arrangements.
Holly is positive, flexible, enthusiastic, patient, and accommodating. Holly has an incredible ability to remain nonintrusive yet always present. We never had to look for her. Most importantly, she is genuinely interested in making the wedding day (or weekend) exactly what you want it to be. We could not recommend her or Simple Elegance more highly, especially for out-of-towners looking for the inside connection to the KC wedding scene.

Where do I begin?? Planning our wedding over the past 14 months with Holly Davidson has been so enjoyable and so fun! At every monthly meeting, she was always so organized and prepared. Holly did a great job giving us vendor referrals, from picking the photographer, the florist, the band, etc. She took the time to learn what was important to us, reviewing every “new” idea we came up, considering every “little detail” we felt important to incorporate, while helping us set our priorities and working within our budget. Appreciate her ability to communicate with every vendor so professionally and timely. She has a unique ability to keep the bride, the mother of the bride, the groom, and wedding party all informed and at ease.
The planning wasn’t even the half of it! The Wedding day was nothing short of perfect. All the credit goes to Holly and her team for everything flowing so smoothly. It is very telling when I could truly enjoy the wedding day, knowing right when she showed up, she had it all under control. Knowing how much fun we had at our wedding, how much fun our parents, family, and all our friends had… all the planning, and months of preparation were completely 100& worth it. I will miss our monthly meetings, eating too many bowls of popcorn and snack mix, while chatting “wedding”, because she is that amazing!!

Holly Davidson and Kristin were one of the smartest decisions we made during the planning of our daughter's wedding. I will never forget one of the first questions Holly asked at our first meeting 6 weeks prior to the wedding. That being "what is bothering you or stressing you?" After we told her the couple of things that were causing angst she just took them on right there on the spot. We never had to deal with the problems again. They disappeared. When we left the first appointment my daughter (the bride) said, "I feel so much better and calmer about things." That is what it is all about when hiring a planner and that is exactly what Holly and Kristin did. Their attention to detail and flow was precise and they were never overbearing but behind the scenes they never stopped moving or doing. They present a calmness that everything is going to go smoothly and interact with all vendors, families, priests, etc. in a courteous and professional manner. The day couldn't of gone any better and we were able to achieve a weekend we and the bride and groom will never forget. -

Holly Davidson with Simple Elegance is the ultimate professional and most inspirational wedding planner with regards to the overall Wedding event and personal preferences! From my perspective as Mother of the Bride, she understood the challenge of our daughter and now husband living in Dallas and traveling frequently and organizing the wedding here in KC. She did this over the past year flawlessly!
Holly understood the feeling they wanted to capture and recommended vendors whom met that vision and the personalities of the Bride and Groom. We worked with Lisa Forbes on our wedding this past June. I could not have imagined going through the planning process and all the way through the day of the wedding without her. Holly was absolutely fabulous and one of my favorite parts of our wedding planning process. I looked forward to each of our meetings and/or phone calls together because she is just so much fun to be around! As an out of state bride, I always knew that she would handle the things that I wasn't able to get to (or just didn't want to spend the time doing on my short trips home). It was such a help throughout the process to have Holly's calming influence and second opinion- although she only gave it when she knew I desperately was seeking her advice.
Holly is incredibly organized and made sure our wedding was seamless and everything we could have ever dreamed. She took so much of the pressure off of my parents, husband, and myself, and we were able to just relax and enjoy the weekend. Where to begin? I cannot say enough amazing things about Holly and the team at Simple Elegance. We met far in advance of the wedding and from day 1 she was incredibly professional, on the ball, and so wonderful to get along with. The services she provided for the wedding coordination were above and beyond in every way. As the wedding approached, she and her team took everything off my plate. I'm not sure if I forgot after meeting her over 1 year before the wedding or what, but when the final weeks started ticking away and we she was in touch with each and every vendor multiple times confirming everything from payment, to start time, and so much more, I was blown away. She creates an extensive timeline and newsletter that is distributed to the wedding party and anyone who needs it. This is incredibly effective in streamlining and making sure everyone is on the same page.
I had a very specific vision of what I wanted our wedding to look like and I booked the majority of our wedding vendors, but Holly executed my vision seamlessly. Working with Holly and Simple Elegance was by far one of the best decisions I made. I knew I wouldn't have trouble picking things out and making decisions along the way, but as things neared the wedding date things get rather crazy with everyone needing a quesiton answered; it was so incredibly helpful to be in the moment and not worrying about the details, Holly and her team took care of all of that. Holly and her team are incredibly professional and solved any issues that came up - I couldn't even tell you if there were any, which is all a bride can ask for :) My absolute highest recommendation! -

Lauren Kadel was a lifesaver for my daughter and I. We hadn't planned on hiring a wedding planner to save money and my daughter was very organized and thought she could manage everything on her own. She did most everything herself but as we got to 3 months out the details started to become overwhelming and we decided to hire a planner. And we are so glad we did! Especially for our daughter. Once Lauren was involved she took over all of the vendor details which created significant relief for us. And, it enabled us to focus on all of the other details still needing to be accomplished. And, everything went off without one hitch which Lauren has some responsibility for along with our daughter. I would highly recommend hiring a planner at least for the day of (which is what we did). And, I'd recommend Lauren Kadel. She was really terrific. After our first meeting with her, Lauren immediately took charge very professionally and patiently. She related well with our daughter and was very familiar with all that she had planned to do making the transition of details very easy. She was responsive to all of our requests and willingly took care of whatever we needed help with. Because of Lauren, our daughter and I got to enjoy the last few weeks through her wedding day knowing the big details were taken care of. We could not have planned our wedding without the guidance of Simple Elegance. We hired Holly Davidson shortly after getting engaged and she helped us through every step of the wedding planning process. At our very first meeting with her, she had gauged the style of wedding we were looking for and she started creating a plan to make it happen within our budget. She is very perceptive, kind and patient. She met with us regularly and promptly responded to questions and concerns that anyone had. Contracting with the vendors and other wedding details can be pretty overwhelming, but Holly really helps you through all of that - she gives you a small group of vendors to choose from that fit what you are looking for and she tells you what details do or don't work from past experience. Lisa Forbes is the best decision I made in the whole wedding planning process, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I am the bride, live in Washington, DC but wanted to get married in my hometown of Lawrence, KS, and hired Lisa to do the full wedding planning package. I wasn't even sure of my wedding date when I first met Lisa. I was stressed out and had never really pictured myself getting married, let alone envisioning a "perfect" wedding day. Lisa helped me find my confidence and vision and from our very first meeting (where I thought we might hire her to do day-of coordinating, but never imagined being financially able to do the full package), I knew that she was going to turn an overwhelming process into a smooth, easy one. And she did. Flawlessly! She is highly organized (the kind of person who responds to an email of 15 rambling questions with her answers in purple font next to each question, providing thorough yet succinct answers) and has the perfect demeanor to manage brides, grooms, family, vendors, and wedding parties alike. She is warm but gets down to business right away; patient but a good task master. We set up a process where we did monthly check-in calls and Lisa would give my husband and I our "to do's" for the month. This helped us compartmentalize the many, many decisions you have to make in planning a wedding. I did not have the time or the desire to research vendors, so we let Lisa do all that and send us options. Our vendors were PERFECT and I would have never found them without her expertise. If you want a flawless wedding without all the drama, hire Lisa. You will not regret it. Ben and I had the most magical day of our lives thanks to her, and it was worth every penny. -

Our family is so thrilled with the service that we received while planning our daughter's wedding with Simple Elegance. Lauren Kadel and Kindra Browne were both so helpful from the very beginning of the wedding planning until Lauren was there until after the last guests left the reception. My daughter and I chose to utilize the full service from Simple Elegance and it was a wonderful decision for us since I live out of town. Lauren and Kindra got to know us our style and seemed to connect us with just the right vendors that we were wanting for our daughter's wedding. Lauren kept our wedding planning schedule on task throughout the whole process by having monthly meetings and keeping in contact with my daughter and I via e-mail/calling us. My daughter even told me that her flip flops were under the table at her chair for her when she wanted to change out of her heels. While we were fairly certain that my mother and I could do most of the planning ourselves, we would have floundered without her skill and wisdom. My wedding was this past August and Holly was my wedding planner. She was amazing! We had meetings once per month- which she printed out and brought itineraries for and it was so helpful to keep my mom and I on track with what needed to be done. I tend to be indecisive and she was able to know my vision and guide me towards making the right choice. She was very flexible and always available if I had any questions or worries. I would definitely recommend using Simple Elegance to a friend! -

Thanks to Holly, our wedding was the best wedding ever!! Hiring Holly Davidson with Simple Elegance was BY FAR the BEST decision we made in planning! I cannot say enough about how fantastic, enthusiastic, friendly, organized, competent, and generally excellent she was. She did a great job of balancing everyone's needs and guiding things in the right direction and putting up with all of the crazy. She has excellent taste and was able to execute flawless exactly what I wanted, even when I couldn't articulate exactly what I wanted. And the final result was truly beautiful!! Holly has great contacts with excellent vendors and made planning our wedding from afar easy and as pain-free as possible. She was flexible with our busy schedules, responsive to all our queries and sometimes unusual requests, and having her there made the day-of and the lead up to our wedding feel relaxed and celebratory rather than hectic. She's extremely friendly, lovely to work with, and all of the staff at Simple Elegance made us feel special and taken care of. Our wedding was spectacular, the venue/decor was beautiful, and we had a total blast! -

Lisa Forbes was absolutely wonderful to work with. Our perfect, flawless day would not have happened without her!! She was incredibly organized, answered questions within minutes, and kept us on track for months leading up to the day and throughout the day itself. My mom, my now husband and I were at ease knowing she was there to keep everything running smoothly at all times. She was a pleasure to meet with and had every single thing we needed the day of the wedding from chapstick to a steamer to making the day run as smooth as it could be. I would recommend her to anyone, she will definitely make your dream day perfect!!! -

Hiring Lisa Forbes as our wedding planner for the day of our daughter's wedding was the best decision I could have ever made. I really thought I could handle my daughter's wedding without the help of anyone, but towards the end was feeling so overwhelmed with all the details. Simple Elegance was recommended to me and Lisa truly became my angel. She handled every detail, talked with all of our vendors, set up our time line and took care of every problem that came up. She answered every phone call or email within minutes and was a joy to meet with. The day of the wedding I was able to truly breathe, relax and enjoy being a guest at my daughter's wedding knowing Lisa was there to handle everything!!! Holly Davidson was absolutely amazing to have as a wedding coordinator. She took so much stress off of me as the bride so that I was able to enjoy my time being engaged and come out with stronger relationships because of it.
Holly gave us just the right amount of vendor suggestions so that we had options and could make decisions that fit our taste without being overwhelmed by lists and lists of people to contact. All of the vendors that she recommended for us turned out to be fantastic choices. Holly also did an incredible job communicating with all of our vendors to make the day flow seamlessly, even going out of her way to track down the manager at our rehearsal dinner venue who was not responding to our emails or calls. She handled conflict with grace and professionalism in ways I would have never been able to do myself.
She also gave us numerous tips such as proper etiquette with invitations, expectations for tipping our vendors and much more, always making sure that our decisions were not based on what's normal or popular but what we desired for our day.
I was able to truly take in and enjoy the day of my wedding knowing that Holly had everything under control. If there was anything that went wrong, Holly must have taken care of it because it fell together perfectly from my perspective. I know it would not have been the same without Holly's help. She is also just a delight to have around and will surely lift the mood of anyone she encounters! -

Hiring Holly Davidson at Simple Elegance for our daughters wedding was the best decision we made. We live in Lawrence and our daughter just moved to KC so we had no idea where to begin to check out vendors. Holly gave us several to interview and all were professional and top notch. She walked us thru the whole process and provided great suggestions when we needed advice. She kept us on task and in budget.
I was dreading the conflicts I had heard so much about between mother and daughter but if my daughter and I differed on something it was great to tell her to check with Holly and it set us on the right path. It made the whole process enjoyable and we had great fun spending the time together.
The day of went smoothly with Holly leading the way and all our friends told us how much they loved everything about the ceremony and reception. Holly was grace and elegance when handling difficult relatives above and beyond her duties.
The only way to sum it up is to quote the text my daughter sent me after she left for the night. She said "It was everything I ever dreamed of and more". It doesn't get better than that! -

Lisa Forbes with Simple Elegance was fabulous. Having a 2nd marriage at our age we desperately needed a professional to assist in all the plans for our wedding. Lisa came to our home for an initial consultation and both Jo and I immediately were captured by her warmth, charm and attention to detail. It was literally like having a new found friend step in our lives and take care of the old folks.
Day of the wedding Lisa and Hattie were sensational with early arrival, delegating and directing all the vendors. Calm and collected they went about putting on a show for our friends. Each of our many 120 + guests were blown away with how Lisa and Hattie setup the tables, 2 bars, buffets, food stations, seating in the garden area, all through out the Simpson House.
Spectacular and outstanding customer service and highly recommend Lisa Forbes as your Wedding Planner and Simple Elegance. -

Words can't express how pleased we are with the service we received from Lisa Forbes & Julie Mitchell of Simple Elegance. Lisa was our main coordinator and Julie helped out with day-of service. Both were outstanding and we don't think we could've pulled off a wedding so fast (6 weeks) in late May without their help. Lisa was warm, professional and responsive and without her I couldn't have had a more relaxing wedding day. Lisa smoothed out my details, coordinated vendors and handled all the day-of details beautifully even despite a few last minute changes we couldn't have foreseen. We couldn't recommend Simple Elegance more highly. Truly, some of the best money spent on our day. -

At the beginning of the planning process my husband and I decided it would be the best decision for us to hire a wedding coordinator, we hired Simple Elegance as our Day of Coordinator and could not have been more please with the service we received from them. Lauren and her team stepped in the planning process six weeks before our wedding. At that point in time they took all of the details off of my plate and lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders. Lauren and her team work along side with our venue contact to arrange the timing of each vendor, confirmed all detail as of each vendors contracts, made sure our room block was set, and created a newsletter and timeline for our families and wedding party for the day of the wedding. It was extremely helpful and professional.
The weekend of the wedding Lauren and her team were a HUGE help in setting everything up and tearing things down at our venue. Lauren was with my bridesmaids and I during the wedding day making sure that everything was running on time and according to schedule. One of our biggest concerns was for our wedding and reception to have very little down time and Lauren and her team made sure that was achieved!
Nate and I highly recommend Simple Elegance and Lauren Kadel if you are trying to make the decision to hire a wedding coordinator. They helped make our wedding weekend amazing by taking over the details and allowing us to not sweat the small stuff, Thank you Lauren and Simple Elegance for everything you did for us!

I had the best experience with Lauren Kadel as our wedding planner. We hired Lauren and Simple Elegance for the day-of package, but the help and support she gave us leading up to the wedding went way beyond just one day of coordination. Lauren's attention to detail, and understanding of MY attention to detail, millions of questions, etc. is what stood out the most to me. She understood all my concerns and questions and made sure everything was taken care of. I tend to be very detail-oriented, so to have a planner who was the same way was all I needed to relax and feel confident that the day would go smoothly... and that it did. Holly Davidson, the coordinator I had the pleasure of working with, was organized, responsive and really listened to what I wanted my wedding day to be like. THANK YOU SO MUCH HOLLY...she created a day I will never forget!!! Holly was organized when it came to reviewing and considering our wedding budget. She was also detail-oriented and creative when it came to adding personal touches to the wedding. Everything went smooth on my wedding day and I believe it is because I worked with Simple Elegance. The vendors they recommended were on time and professional. I was not pressured to use any of the vendors Simple Elegance recommended, however, after meeting each vendor I knew they were the people I wanted to work with. Holly and I met monthly and I NEVER felt rushed at any of these meetings. When I had other questions for Holly outside of our monthly meetings I was able to reach her through texting, e-mail or phone calls with no problems. Simple Elegance has a great team of coordinators who genuinely care about your wedding planning experience. I would use Simple Elegance again for any events in the future. Hiring Holly Davidson from Simple Elegance was an excellent decision in planning my daughter's wedding. I live out of town and my daughter was busy with her PhD studies so planning was difficult. To top it off, the engagement was quite short. From the beginning, Holly had a professionalism about her. Throughout the months of planning she was dedicated, responsive, articulate, honest, encouraging, tenacious--and she had a great sense of humor! Holly's many years of experience allowed us to secure a team of vendors that were responsible and delivered exactly as we had agreed. She stayed within our budget yet I always felt we were purchasing quality products and services. As the wedding approached and weather became a consideration, Holly transitioned to 'plan b' with great ease. Because of her professionalism and sense of calm, I was able to let her make these final decisions while I simply enjoyed the incredibly joyous moments. Even my husband, who was unsure of my hire, noted to friends and family that Holly was the wisest choice we could have made. As the bride left the reception she got one last tearful hug with Holly, who had become a friend. I strongly urge you to hire Holly as your wedding planner. Well there are so many things that would like to portray in this review for Holly with Simple Elegance but I guess the first is a huge THANK YOU! As a wedding planner myself, I know all of the big and little things that go into a wedding day and honestly I did not worry about them on my wedding day which means the WORLD to me and all my loved ones around me. I know that things can really go wrong on a wedding day and even if everything has been planned out by two planners :-) Holly caught all of the little mishaps on the wedding day with grace and professionalism. I was very specific when it came to the items that I wanted her to take care of and she took the requests on with a huge smile. Gosh, I don't even know where to start! Holly Davidson with Simple Elegance is nothing short of amazing. From the moment my parents, fiance, and I met with Holly, we knew we were in good hands. Over the course of our 15 month engagement, Holly was readily available and eager to answer any questions, provide great recommendations and make the wedding planning process fun and less stressful. She helped guide us with decisions because she is an expert in wedding planning here in KC. I was working full time and in graduate school during our planning time, and I can't say enough how much Holly helped make this busy time for me enjoyable and memorable. My mom and I looked forward to our monthly meetings with Holly, and she did a fantastic job helping us communicate and navigate our way with the vendors and ceremony planning. She attended most vendor meetings with us and helped our wedding vision come to life! Holly and Simple Elegance were always easy to communicate with, were beyond professional and pleasant, and the day of the wedding could not have gone more smoothly. When there were a few very minor things that went unplanned, Holly's feathers NEVER got ruffled, and no one had an idea what went on because Holly troubleshoots immediately. The best way I can describe our wedding day is that my husband, Joe, and I had the most magical day of our lives. Lisa's planning skills were amazing. She found amazing vendors for us; something I never could have done. She was incredibly thorough and organized. It seemed like she was always one step ahead of us. If I called to ask about something, she had already handled it. We needed her to be flexible when scheduling meetings with vendors and she was more than happy to arrange her schedule to accommodate us.
It was very strange to show up for the rehearsal and then the wedding with absolutely nothing to do but "show up." Everything was under control and we had a fabulous evening! -

I truly can't put into words how thankful I am for Lisa F. and all of her work she put into Brian and I's special day. From day one she was so organized, helpful and managed any tension or stress with ease. We worked with Lisa Forbes at Simple Elegance for my sister's wedding in August and had the best experience. They were true professionals from start to finish and gave my entire family and me (Maid of Honor) the peace of mind and freedom to enjoy the special day. Just knowing everything would be taken care of and running smoothly was such a gift. On top of being great at their jobs, they were a joy to be around. Lisa was the best and we couldn't have been more appreciative for her presence!

As professional Event Coordinators, my Husband and I didn't want to plan our own wedding, we wanted to enjoy every moment. But, obviously, I was extremely skeptical on finding someone who would do as great of a job as we would or would get our big production like vision that we had! I am sooo thankful I found Kindra!!! She was a DREAM to work with. Also, prior to hiring her, I did a few venue tours on my own and I would ask the venue contacts about her to get a little more insight and they had nothing but praise for Kindra and her whole team at Simple Elegance. So, I knew that if other industry professionals had great things to say, that I was on the right track. Also, being in the Events business, that meant that most of my guest list was, as well. So, our wedding was not a "typical" wedding. It was important that we brought a very "production" like quality to it, to best represent my him & I, and for the guests to really enjoy the day! Kindra did an amazing job of working with the other vendors to execute every little unique detail and create a "production". The only complaint I have about my experience with her is that now that Im married, I won't get to work with her again! :( Thank you Kindra for such an amazing experience working with you! Lisa Forbes with Simple Elegance was our wedding coordinator and I am going to keep this short and sweet...she is the best! Our day was perfectly organized from vendor delivery to the transportation schedule to our meal being served on time. My mom and I were able to relax knowing that we were in such good hands. She is joy to be around and I wouldn't have wanted to share the day with anyone else! -

As an out of town bride I can’t say enough positive things about Holly Davidson and the Simple Elegance team. I’m a busy bride in graduate school and my time for planning and lining up vendors was limited. She was a perfect match for us! Her expertise in the wedding field was evident. She was able to match us up with vendors that matched our personalities and our budget. Every vendor she set us up with turned out exceptionally.
Living in Omaha I was only available on weekends to meet with her and other vendors. She was always willing to meet for early Saturday morning coffee to plan and discuss wedding details. She met with my florist in person and video conferenced me in to make me feel apart of the decision making process. There was never a time that I felt she was not available by phone or e-mail to discuss even the smallest details.
After the vendors were selected and the details set Holly proved to be truly valuable in the immediate weeks prior to the wedding. A timeline was made down to the minute to make sure everything ran smoothly! Throughout the day she maintained a positive attitude and kept everyone smiling. My husband and I looked to her throughout the day for guidance on what to do next or where to go. We were able to laugh with her all the way to the end of the night. Holly was professional throughout the entire experience and I couldn’t imagine planning a wedding without her.
The next morning I realized there were things from my reception that I wish I had grabbed for keepsakes. She had sent a box home with my parents that included my bouquet, the wine cork place-cards with our married names, and special cards we had made for each table. She was always one step ahead of me in knowing what I wanted or needed to get done. I feel truly blessed to have had Holly as my wedding planner. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner in the Kansas City area!

We loved working with Lisa Forbes at Simple Elegance throughout the wedding planning process! She made sure that all of the little details were taken care of and that day of the wedding everything went as planned. She also helped keep stress levels down during planning and on the day of the wedding. We did not have to worry about anything on our wedding day and we were able to enjoy every minute! If there is anything I would do again and again for my wedding it would be to use Holly Davidson and Simple Elegance. My parents live in Kansas City, which is where our wedding was, but when my husband proposed to me, he was in the process of moving to Seattle, and I was living in Chicago, only to move to Seattle as well. When my mom and I sat down to start planning the wedding, I realized we had absolutely no idea where to start. There were WAY too many options and WAY too many price differences... The emotions were HIGH, but then we made the best decision to be made during the wedding planning process, we looked into wedding planners.
Our first meeting with a wedding planner was with Holly Davidson from Simple Elegance, and IMMEDIATELY we KNEW she was a perfect fit. (We even signed our contract AT that meeting!). She was extremely organized and professional, but what really made the difference was at that first meeting, even without being an official client, she was already providing me with advise, guidance, and reassurance.
I am a very detailed oriented person and ask a million questions; however, I am also extremely indecisive. And with these qualities, Holly was AMAZING! She answered every question, never getting frustrated or minimizing any of their significance. She always provided me with just a few options - not giving me too many to choose from - and if there wasn't something that caught my eye, she would find other options. She was honest, giving me pros and cons for different ideas I had, but never swaying me any direction. I was able to enjoy EVERY minute of EVERY wedding event. I have been a bridesmaid in other weddings, but I have never been so calm walking down the aisle. I knew nothing was going to go wrong.
I think back on my wedding every day. It literally took my breath away. Holly Davidson and Simple Elegance helped me create my dream wedding, and a weekend that I will always remember as the best time of my life! -

Holly Davidson did an exceptional job planning my wedding! It was evident from the very first meeting that she was very organized, experienced, and professional. We greatly valued her vendor suggestions and were so happy with all of our choices! It was wonderful being able to rely on Holly to organize and plan all of the vendor meetings. She made sure they knew exactly what we were looking for before we met with them, which allowed for our meetings to be quick and productive. Holly was never more than an e-mail away, always promptly responding to any question, concern, or new idea I may have had. She committed herself to making all of my visions for the big day become a reality, while at the same time offering her advice from past experience helping me avoid any potentially "bad" ideas that I may regret in the long run. She told us from day one that staying within our budget was important to her, and she did just that. In fact, I am certain we saved money on our vendors because of the relationship she already had established with them. The day of our wedding went flawlessly. We had the wedding at my parents house, which mean everything had to be brought in. Holly and her team took care of everything, from start to finish that day/night. This allowed for my family and friends to be with me that day instead of having to help out with set up and take down. She ensured that I had a stress free day and I am so grateful to her for that. She began as my wedding planner and ended as my friend. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Her professionalism, organization, and expertise are surely unparalleled. -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Simple Elegance, especially Holly Davidson for helping plan our wedding! I am an out of town bride, originally from KC, and Holly made it so easy to plan a wedding 500 miles from where everything actually was. Holly made the wedding planning process fun and enjoyable and truly helped our vision become a reality. She kept me on track and continued to help remind me when things needed to be complete. Having Holly help with the wedding planning process and the day of event help make the wedding go so smooth – if there was ever an issue we certainly didn’t know! My wedding weekend exceeded every vision I had been dreaming about for the prior 16 months and it was due to the exceptional efforts and flawless execution of Holly Davidson and team. After deciding to get married in KC, I had a very clear creative direction, but stumbled with where to begin and sought out help. I had not lived in KC in over 10 years, would be planning the events from afar, and 100 of our guests would be coming in from out of town. Holly immediately understood my vision and pointed me in the right direction to build a team of outstanding vendors. We did the partial package with a few planning phone calls prior where I could leverage her expertise to move things forward. The Wedding Day was amazing-- I wanted to do a few unique things throughout the night and Holly pulled them all together, truly wowing our guests . She has exceptionally high standards, great instincts and time management, and made sure everything we planned was perfect. And on top of it all, she's extremely pleasant to work with. -

I cannot say enough about Simple Elegance and in particular, Kindra Browne. She not only made planning fun and easy, but she knew how to infuse my vision or make suggestions when needed. The result was an incredible and gorgeous ceremony followed breathtaking and glamarous reception. Kindra and the team of vendors she assembled for us made our wedding a truly amazing celebration that all of my family and friends got to enjoy. One of my bridesmaids has been in well over 10 weddings and she commented that she had never been a part of a wedding that went so flawlessly and everyone just got to enjoy--this is soley the result of Kindra's expertise which guaranteed that every detail would be taken care of and exceed our expectations!! On the day of the wedding, Kindra did everything from set up to tying my dad's bowtie to fixing errors in the seating chart to organizing the wedding party, but no one even knew a wedding planner was there. My family cannot thank her enough for making my day so amazing, and we would recommend her and her business to anyone! -

Kindra Browne, owner of Simple Elegance, is hands down the most professional person I have worked with over the past 13 months to plan the wedding of my dreams. I am a highly analytical, organized, ahead of the game type of person and Kindra was 3 steps ahead of me in every one of these categories (which I never thought someone could be). From day one, Kindra gave me recommendations that helped me pick an amazing vendor team that truly made my wedding a fairtytale. Lindsay Howes was just fabulous. We hired Lindsay the day of the wedding to coordinate my daughter's wedding. Not only did she handle everything perfectly down to the last detail but she was a pleasure to have at the wedding. I would recommend without any reservation. Even my husband agreed that she made the event much more pleasurable for both of us. While she was handling all of the behind-the-scenes details, we were having fun, seeing our guests, dancing, and enjoying such a big event for us.

Her "get things done" attitude, open mind-frame and outgoing energy made our wedding planning experience outstanding. We had a large, very detail oriented wedding out at Mildale Farm in Edgerton, Kansas and we could not have pulled it off without the help and hard work of Holly and the whole Simple Elegance team! Of all the decisions that I made during the wedding planning process, I am most thankful for hiring Holly Davidson from Simple Elegance. Before hiring Holly, she and I had a very in depth conversation about what I envisioned for my big day, and 15 months later, she was able to execute that vision with precision. I had some reservations about hiring someone to assist with coordination, thinking I could do it myself. Looking back, I realize there is NO WAY I could have done it without Holly. She is extremely detail oriented, always professional, incredibly responsive, prompt and organized...in one word, AMAZING! Holly definitely knows her stuff and has a huge network of contacts and vendors. They all went above and beyond and we are so thankful Holly introduced us to them. Throughout the process, Holly made sure that we weren't forgetting anything (which was my biggest concern), and took care of all vendor communication and confirmation as well as all of the time line details. She worked flawlessly with all of my vendors, including my venue's day-of coordinators, to ensure that all of the details of our day were exactly how I wanted them. I am so thankful to have had her to rely on, especially during the final months of planning. I knew I could relax and trust her to handle the details.

What a wonderful journey! Choosing Holly was one of the absolute best decisions made! Holly's grace, professionalism and love of the entire process from design and planning to the execution of one of life's most memorable events were evident from the moment we met her. Together Holly and Kendra were one of the absolute best gifts as their endless hard work captured a wonderful and infinitely more magical and beautiful day than we'd ever imagined. We had several "moving parts" to our wedding and we were all traveling from out of town for our "destination wedding" in Lawrence, Kansas. Holly did a wonderful job of keeping up with everything (which was not and easy task) and everything went off without a hitch! -
